Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand, the new
and improved Diehard Radio, w D yes and WD two seven.
Bring d Philadelpia Ice, Fox Sports Radio The Gambler, All right.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Bring it on in football is king here on Fox
Sports The Gambler. Ryan Coyle joined alongside Nick McLay for
our weekly show, and Nick, we are officially back. You know,
last week it felt great to have a full slate
of college football back, a full week one slate we
had the week before at the appetizerith week zero.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
But now we're fully officially back.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
You got NFL football this week, you got another great
state of college games. We're really starting to get into
the thicket things. Excited to see both college and NFL
on in the same week. But Nick, we're officially back.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
How are we?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yeah, we're good.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
It was so finally good to sit down and watch
them football go on. I think I went like eight
and nine, nine and ten, right below five hundred on
the on the bed, So I mean, it could have
been a lot better, but it could have been a
lot worse. So I'm not too upset about it, but
just glad to see that we have football back on.
Came to get into you know, week two college football,

(01:11):
and you know NFL stuff starting this week too, So
there's a lot to get into, a lot to recap,
and a lot to preview before you know this, this
upcoming week.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
So I'm excited to get get into it.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
So each week now with NFL back, we're going to
try and do like a balancing act, probably go a
little bit more heavy NFL this week due to it
being Week one, but also want to hit on a
few college games. There's a few big ones, nothing huge really,
kind of compared to last week. Michigan Oklahoma is a
is a good one. Iowa versus Iowa State is always
a good matchup.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
In Illinois Duke. Those are three matchups that I kind
of want to hit on.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
But before we get into that, Week one happened, we
saw some pretty crazy stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Arch Manning laden egg and Texas loses at Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Alabama really struggles, loses by double digits at Florida State
as a double digit favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Clemson loses at home to LSU. Your week one kind
of over arching takeaway was what.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Nick I mean, there was a few of them.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
I mean, I think the one main takeaway was for
me Ohio State was very impressive defensively. I think they
could really repeat as national champions if Sane could really
just control the game and really just protect the ball.
They held obviously the number one ranked team in the
nation in Texas Heisman favorite Arch Manning just to just
seven points and really made his life difficult. Now, I

(02:28):
think on the flip side of that, it is a
little early to judge and be critical on Arch for
that game. I know he looked bad, but one of
the toughest environments to go to in his first real start,
have a young offensive line, I think I think time
will come for that Texas team and they'll probably show
us why they were preseason ranked number one as the
season goes on. Another one, I think LSU, you know,

(02:50):
Brian Kelly finally getting over that Week one, when that
hump that he couldn't get over the last few years,
defense really came to play held k Club Nick and
Clemson in check at home.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Nels Meyer looked.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Like he can really, you know, show the world why
he can take this LSU team and you know, make
them a legit national title contender. And another one I
think is Thomas Castellanos with Florida State he said that
you know this, you know Alabama and Nick Saban isn't
there to save Alabama anymore. And I was very wrong
on it when I said, I think he's parking up
their own tree here, but he really backed it up.

(03:25):
The Bores has to be on that hot seat now,
feeling a lot of pressure after being a thirteen and
a half point favorite and losing to a team that
was too intend previous year and now I know they're
not as bad, but still the high expectations for Alabama
losing that game, I think it's a big, big outlook
for this season. So those those three main, you know

(03:45):
takeaways were my main takeaways in week one.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, my main takeaway from week one that Alabama program
not dead.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
But but I think we're on life support.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Everything that Nick Saban built up, you can kind of
see that starting to dwindle right before our eyes with
Kaitlyn Now And it was an interesting hire. I'm not
gonna say out of the box. He was definitely one
of the top candidates. But I think they tried to
get Norvel from Florida state he agreed to an extension.
They tried to get Landing from Oregon. I do think
Kaylen Devor was probably like the third or fourth option.
And for guy that's never coached down South, never been

(04:16):
you know, down in that area, his personality might not
really fit that. And it's a hostile environment and you
can already kind of see the pressure wilting on him.
I mean, he's lost four times already to unranked opponents
in fourteen games. He started out five and zero, since
then he's five and four. He's really struggled over kind
of this second part of his first year into his

(04:37):
second year now. I mean, and they just got flat
out bullied on Saturday. Florida State just went and manhandled
them both lines of scrimmage. Ty Simpson was under pressure
all day and it kind of looked like Florida State
to heat, to use the cliche, but just wanted it more.
They out efforted them, They played way harder than them
every single snap, it seemed like, and they kind of
backed up, you know what they were talking about all

(04:58):
off seasons. So had tipped to Florida State for and
I think Alabama fans, you know, it's not just that
was a one off. We've not seen a sample size
of this, and they're not teams aren't afraid to play
Alabama anymore. So something's got to change down there, and
change quickly to get back to that kind of mountain
top of college football. But that was a pretty crazy
eye opening Week one experience there from the Alabama Crimson Tide.

(05:22):
I thought the pass rush from Florida State was very
impressive that they jump all the way up to number
fourteen in this week's AP poll as well, so Florida
State had tipped to them. If we're doing like a
stock up, stock down, definitely to Alabama, they take a
big drop in the rankings. So flip the attention now
over to Week two in college football at three games
at the top that I kind of wanted to hit

(05:43):
on in a few minutes. The first one being at noon,
number eleven Illinois going to Duke noonkick on ESPN. Illinois
sitting there as a two and a half point road
favorite over Under fifty and a half. But these teams
win their Week one games pretty easily. Any chance Nick,
that Duke pulls off and upset in this one.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
I think there's a good chance that Duke can do this.
You know, this is a match up here with two
teams that could be very sneaky playoff teams by the
end of the year. For really, whoever wins this game,
I think huge chance for Duke to you know in
a week acc you know competitive acc. But with Clemson
losing Florida State with a huge win over Bama, Miami
beating your game depending how also you know, the JMU

(06:22):
Louisville Goat game goes, it could be huge implications for
Duke to win this game and Mensas starting his due
career last you know, we were first half but kind
of got things going in the second half, ended up
putting almost four hundred yards up three touchdowns. And this
Illinois defense is not going to make things easy. They're aggressive,
press heavy, so he's going to have to make those throws,

(06:43):
protect the football to you know, win this game. And
on the other side, very experience better in Illinois team
that really knows what to do to get the job done.
Luke Almyer great year last year, twenty two to six touchdown,
the interception radio, so he holds onto the ball. But
this is a man Idea's coach team that brings a
lot of pressure. They blitzed on forty percent of their
plays last year, which was fourth in power fork teams.

(07:06):
So this Illinois offense is going to have to be
ready step up and protect Altmyer. And last year they
ranked one hundred and twelfth in the country and blitz protection,
and Altmyer was one hundred and second in the country
when being blitz So I think this defense could really
make things hard for Altmyer in this Illinois offense. I'm
going to go home underdog here outright. Twenty one to seventeen.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah, awesome match up here between two of like kind
of that that next tier of quarterbacks, that top tier
of quarterbacks, whether coming into the season, you know, breaking
down Garrett nus Meyer arch Manning, all those guys getting
the hype Kate Club, Nick Luke, Altmeyer and Darien Mensar
are to those kind of guys in that next tier,
and it's going to be an awesome way to see
these two dudes perform on a big stage on Saturday.

(07:47):
I do go in nine and three. So if they
find a way to win this game, I really think
that they could get the double digit wins, be even
in that mix for that ACC title, be in the
mix for a playoff spot, and it's a big spot
for an Illinois team. Too, that obviously has to play
in the Big ten. So a huge game here for
both teams. Whoever wins this game, I really think they
have a good path to the playoff. The loser is

(08:08):
going to have to do some work for sure, Like
if Duke go's nine and three, they're not going to
be making and unless they make the ACC title game
and win that. Illinois, on the other hand, they could
go nine and three and still make it potentially, but
you're probably gonna have to go ten to two if
you're Illinois to make the playoffs. So a massive game here.
Very excited to see Darien Mensay and Luke Kaltemar dueled out.
But I'm gonna go with the bit of a more

(08:28):
experienced team here in Illinois. I think they go and
take care of business here on the road at Duke.
I'll have them cover in that two and a half
as well. All right, next game, I want to touch
on the game near and dear to your heart, Nick,
this one will be the big Neon kickoff game as well.
Iowa travels two number sixteen Iowa State in ames for
the sky Hawk matchup noonkick on Fox. Iowa State two

(08:50):
and a half point favorite, here at home over under
forty one and a half. You're surprised to see the
number that small.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
No, not in a Sye Hawk game, and the number
at forty one always going to be a low forties.
I mean, I think at some point within the last
two to three seasons it was probably in the high thirties.
But you know, for this matchup, Iowa State's won the
last or won two of the last three last year
being a wall called field goal, so you know, the
offense is completely different. They don't have Jayden Higgins or

(09:17):
Jalen Nol to throw to, but tightands have really stepped
up in the first two games. Gay Berkele seven receptions
one hundred and sixteen yards in a touchdown, Ben Bramer
nine receptions eighty eight yards and two touchdowns. And I
know it's only two games in, but Iowa State has
run the most twelve personnel looks in the nation.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
It's seventy three percent of the place.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
So you lose two guys on the outside, now you
bring in two experienced guys on the inside. Instead of
playing with their two receivers outside, they move it to
the middle of the field, up the scenes with their
tight ends. Now offensive line can really worry me. They
showed flashes that they could be dominant, but also flashes
that they can just get you know, overpowered and kind
of scares me with an Iowa State pass rush. And

(09:58):
on the flip side, Iowa has one of the better
offensive lines in the country. They had a ninety seven
and a half offensive line grade and we won against Albany.
I know, but they were the only offensive line in
the country to have above ninety grade in both passing
and run deef blocking. So all five linemen at above
an eighty grade. So I would see it's gonna have
to really step up in the trenches if they want

(10:19):
to win this game. They've only allowed They've allowed under
two hundred rushing yards in two games, so they've shown
that they can really stop the front up you know,
up front. But this is it's gonna be a game.
It's going to be extremely close. I'm gonna trust Iowa
State to go out their home team win in a
low scoring twenty one to seventeen Again Iowa State.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, you look back, going over the past decade, Iowa
States only won this matchup two times, so it has
been a matchup predominantly dominated by Iowa. But I do
like this Iowa State team this year. They showed a
lot of fight in that Week zero game against Kansas State,
so I'll be interested to see how they.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Play against Arrival.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I was high on iOS quarterback Mark Prinkowski coming into
the year transfer from South Dakoast State. Didn't exactly like
the world on fire in their Week one matchup, but
it was also against an FCS opponent I believe that
they played, so it could have been a situation where
they're looking to basically save their plays and save kind
of some of that strategy for this matchup, not really

(11:16):
show too much out there on film, so I think
we might see a little bit better version of him.
But to say, game, what is the total coming in
at right now? Forty one and a half? Yeah, I
feel like you gotta lean under in this one. You
look at last year twenty to nineteen, and that was
a pretty wild comeback, Like there was what a punt
return or a pick six or something like that.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Very it's usually an unconventional.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Game in terms of the scoring in this matchup, So
coin flip game for me on either side, who's going
to win? You probably lean towards the home team. But
I think the under in this one is probably your play.
I'm looking at like a seventeen ten, seventeen thirteen type
of ballgame, and I probably just go with I State
at home there all right, last game I want to
touch on before we transition on over into the NFL

(11:58):
and get into some week one talk on the matchups there.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Number fifteen Michigan goes two Number eighteen Oklahoma, one of
the premier games of the non conference slate in college
football seven thirty kick on ABC. Number has been moving
in this one.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I think it opened at two and a half and
went all the way up to Oklahoma minus five and
a half over under forty five and a half. Nick
another matchup where Michigan played New Mexico last week, Oklahoma
played like Illinois State. I think, so this is really
both of their first major tests. Any play in this
one for you.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
Yeah, I think I would lean with the number going
up to five and a half. I would lean Michigan
plus five and a half. I think it's going to
be a tight one. I do think Oklahoma wins outright.
Two new quarterbacks going at it with John Mattier coming
in from Washington State, freshman and Bryce Underwood. Both teams
kind of had similar years last year, both disappointing even

(12:47):
you know, with good defenses, but had very bad passing offenses.
You know, two teams that if you do win this game, also,
especially for Michigan with a young quarterback on the road,
you can start talking about is can you make the playoffs?
And one thing I look for in this Oklahoma offense
is can they improve the run game from last week?
They only had one hundred and three totally rushing yards
from last year, just over three yards of carry. Jayden

(13:10):
not barely had any carries. I don't know if he
was hurt. I don't know what his situation was, but
if you want to get that running game going, you
got to get him involved. I know Matier can run
as well, so you know you have that option. But
a big question for me is how will he John
Mattier operate against you know, Wick Martin Dale's you know,
very aggressive Michigan defense, every pressure type of defense glitched

(13:31):
on almost forty three percent of passing plazy face last year,
so his real first test as a powerful quarterback got
a lot of pressure on him, especially with their coach
Prett medibles. Being on the hot seat, I think Matier's
going to have to use his legs and not force throws,
don't turn the ball over. I think Oklahoma's defense is
a lot better as well. So take give me the

(13:52):
home team Oklahoma twenty three, Michigan twenty win a tight one,
Michigan still, you know, covering that, and I'll.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Go a lean the under as well.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Another matchup just like the altemyer menso one where two
of the quarterbacks that coming into this season probably didn't
have the most type, but Bryce Underwood Johnttier should be
a fun matchup watching those two guys go back and forth,
and I really think it could be a situation of
who has the ball last. I probably lean towards the
home team in Oklahoma here, just because John Mittier has

(14:21):
played in these big time matchups before playing at Washington State.
Obviously not the gold standard of programs, but still he's
played in enough solid matchups during his college football career.
Bryce Underwood, this is really his first time under the
bright lights. He played last week against an inferior opponent
in New Mexico looked pretty solid, but how can he
fare against a really, really good Oklahoma defense, two very

(14:42):
good defenses in this one in Michigan, Oklahoma. I think
he gotta lean the under in this one, and I
think you also got to take the home team. I
think this game means more to Oklahoma and trying to
get that program back at the trajectory that they once were,
than it does Michigan. I think Michigan they're gonna have
some growing pains this year with this freshman quarterback, with
Bryce Underwood, the future is going to be bright. I

(15:02):
think the goal for them should be eight and four,
nine and three, but during this early portion of the season,
I think that they could take some lumps, and I
think they take one here against this really experienced Oklahoma
defense with a really experienced quarterback and kind of a
gotta have a game. This is like a big time moment,
I think for Brett Venables and this program and trying
to build it into what it was under Lincoln Riley,
what it was under Bob Studs. This is I gotta

(15:25):
have a game for Oklahoma, So I'm gonna take them
to win this one.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Twenty four to seventeen will go.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So we'll go barely the under hitting there and Oklahoma
cover in the five and a half. So those are
the three kind of premier matchups this week. We got
a handful of other pretty solid ones. Kansas Missouri should
be fun. Taylor at SMU should be fun. But Nick,
we got NFL football to breakdown, and we break down
and start with the game on Thursday night to kick
off the season opener, Dallas Cowboys traveling to Philadelphia to

(15:52):
play the raigning Super Bowl champions eight twenty on NBC.
The Eagles are an eight and a half point favorite
as of this afternoon. Now it's up are down to
seven and a half over unders forty seven and a half.
I think we're gonna see a lot of movement on
this one over the next day or so. But Nick,
Eagles Cowboys opening up the season, give me your thoughts
on this matchup?

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Yeah, I mean the early divisional battle here with obviously
we know Super Bowl defending champs, the wire going to
raise the banner, and I think the Eagles absolutely steam
roll this Cowboys team. I think with everything going on
in the offseason with this Cowboys organization, They've got Michael
Parsons being traded, they got this druntled teammates voicing all
their opinions on that I think they look like a

(16:34):
dumpster friar right now, especially led by Jerry Jones, And
I think this is an Eagles team that is going
to come out firing on all cylinders both sides of
the ball. I think will dominate defensively, one of the
best groups in the NFL, proving it last season.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
We saw it.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
And offensively, no shorts of weapons and talent. You know,
starting with that offensive lineup front. Looks like Lanyon Dickerson
is going to be healthy. But you know, with the
Eagles having one of the best rosters in football, Cowboys
having all this all the field offseason issues, I'm all
over the Eagles in this one. To start the season
off hot. I'm gonna go Eagles thirty, Cowboys seventeen. Slightly

(17:08):
into the under, I guess.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
I think when you look at the Cowboys this year,
I think they're gonna really struggle.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
I'd be surprised.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
I'd be I'm not gonna use the word shocked, but
I would be very surprised if this team makes the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
They have very.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Old Cowboys vibes to them, where they were like that
eight and eight team.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
It for like most years with Tony Romo.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
I think they're right there in the mix in this one,
and they're gonna have a few games where they go
out and they score forty points, I think, and they
sneak away a couple victories even like maybe a little
bit reminiscent to like the Bengals last year, where the
defense will really struggled, but the offense had some big
games that kept it in it, but the defense kind
of let them down down the stretch. But I really think,
like when you look at Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb,
I think that they're not only gonna put up great

(17:49):
numbers in this game, but I think they're gonna put
great numbers up all year. I don't trust this Cowboys
rushing attack at all. I think this Cowboys team is
going to be coming from behind a lot this season.
That sets up great opportunities for Dak Prescott in Cede Lamb.
So if you like to get in on the prop market,
I think Dak Prescott two hundred and fifty plus passing
yards is minus one eleven right now on DraftKings. That's
something I certainly like because I think there's a good

(18:10):
chance the Eagles get up in this one by double digits,
and Dak Prescott has to throw the ball forty five
to fifty times, and he clears that two fifty plus
marker easily. It's even a situation where I think we
could see him throw for three hundred plus.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
I don't think that's out of the world.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
That's plus two seventy five right now at DraftKings, and
I think Ceedee Lamb is going to be the beneficiary
of a lot of those passing yards. He's eighty plus
receiving yards this plus one eleven. So I like the
Eagles to.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
Win this game.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
I don't really think it's going to be in doubt much,
but I do think the Cowboys just have that garbage
time ability to put up some of those stats late.
So to go into the prop market, I think the
area to look at is probably your Dak Prescott yards,
your Dak Prescott attempts, your CD Lamb catches, your CD
Lamb yards.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
I think the Eagles are just such a balanced team.
Let's see what they look like with a new.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Offensive coordinator before we're starting to to put bets out
there on those props.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
So I like the Eagles to win this game.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
But I do think that you can make some money
if you're looking to on Dak Prescott and see Lamb
in this one.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Yeah. And speaking of on the props, I took on
your your Cowboys props. I already took Jake Ferguson over
thirty seven and a half yards last year, I had
fifty seven yards per game in four games that Dak played,
him and Dack played together, hitting three of those four games,
averaging over seven targets a game. And I think Eagles
are going to get after Dak. He's gonna have to
get the ball out quick. So I like I do,

(19:31):
like you know, these Cowboys pass catchers to kind of
I guess eat. I know, I don't think they're going
to be really in this game, but I think they're
gonna have to throw the ball to win this game.
And on the other side, I like Devonte Smith that
were fifty four and a half receiving yards in eight
games versus Dallas. He averages over sixty at eight hundred
and thirty three yards and only thirteen games played this

(19:52):
year average over sixty four. And I think you know,
with aj Brown as hamstring, is he going to play
one hundred percent of the time? Is he an o routes.
I think you kind of look to lean off of,
you know, our star guy. Finally, he also has six
touchdowns versus Dallas, so you can look at him at
plus one eighty to score.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
So those are two props out of weapons game.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
All right, let's get a Friday night.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
I woke up this morning and I was like, Wow,
we actually have a Friday night game too.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
That's pretty awesome.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Chiefs first, Chargers down in Brazil. Eight o'clock kick on
Beauty on streaming. First ever game in NFL history streaming
live on YouTube. That's something different. Chiefs three point favorite
over under forty five and a half. I've seen a
lot of people since the race on Slater injury picking
the Broncos actually to win this division instead of the Chiefs.
I feel like people are just kind of souring off

(20:39):
the Chiefs. Do you think that they still get this
week one win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
I'm actually gonna stick with the Chargers here. I've been
on the Chargers this whole entire offseason, and I know
they've had the injuries, but I'm just gonna stick with them.
I don't know long term if they could win this division.
I think they're gonna be a playoff team of Chargers,
but with the injuries, I'm not sure if they can
win it.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
I do have them to win it, so obviously I'm
gonna be rooining for it.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
But with all the Chiefs have, it's just really hard
to go against them in the long term things. But
they're coming off that brutal, you know, Super Bowl loss,
They're gonna want to dominate instantly right away. They're they're
gonna come out fire, and Chargers are looking to finally
take over this AFC West Division, take down Mahomes, you know,
the Empire of the Chiefs. They won't have Hershie Rice,

(21:23):
So like think I'd look for Xavier Worthy. I gotta
have a big game in this one. Chargers have been
looking for that reliable target. Lad McConkie. Can he be
that guy they bring back Keenan Allen bringing Trey Harris
could be a nice piece to that room. But you know,
I've been going with it. I've been saying it all
off season. I think this is the year that you know,
Mahomes doesn't win the division. So you know, Harball's five

(21:44):
and zero straight up again and against the spreading week
one as an NFL head coach, covering by eight and
a half points in those games. So I think give
me the Chargers in this one. Outright, Chargers twenty three,
Chiefs twenty one ugly one to prop I like in
this one.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
This is another ugly one. One is Quentin Johnson over
twenty five receiving yards.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
I think, you know, obviously an ugly angle, but I'll
bite the bait on such a low number. He struggled
with the drops, improved a lot in his second year
compared to his rookie year. Almost three hundred yard drump
from four hundred and thirty one to seven hundred and
eleven hit this line in ten to fifteen games.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
I just think this number is too low. I think
you get it in one catch.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
All right, final game that we will touch on, probably
the best game on the schedule, I think for Week
one Ravens at Bill's Sunday Night Football eight to twenty
kick on NBC. Bill's a one and a half point
favorite at home here over under fifty one and a half.
Got your last few MVPs with Lamar and Josh Allen.
You got the two teams that are favored. I believe

(22:44):
actually right now to win the AFC even over the Chiefs.
Who gets it done in Week one? Nick, and give
me your favorite prop in that one as well.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Ravens getting some revenge
here away in Buffalow. You know, obviously this is probably
gonna be the best game of the week Sunday night
in Buffalo, both teams being the favorite to win the
Super Bowl, both at plus six hundred right now to
MVP caliber quarterbacks that can really do it all with
their arms and legs. And we can argue that LaMarsh
deserved that MVP last year over Josh Allen. So you know,

(23:14):
one thing I'm kind of looking for is which receiver
will step up for the Ravens. Can it bez Flowers?
They didn't have him for that playoff loss last season?
Can he be you know, the difference maker in this
one on the flip side, Can key On Coleman make
that second year jump. You know Shakir can do that,
but he's had that high ankle spring. Can Coleman really
step up? I think it's going to be, you know,
either one of these teams in the Super Bowl for

(23:35):
the AFC side in my opinion, and right now, I'm leaning.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Towards the Ravens.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
I think their defense is just that much better than
what the Bills have right now. So I think I'm
gonna go with the Ravens get some revenge on the Bills.
Ravens twenty seven those twenty four. I do like Josh
Allen's rushing yards at thirty three and a half hit
this line nine games last season. Ravens defense is legit.
There's gonna be a lot of coverage downfield, high pressure
in the backfield to force theme out of the pocket

(24:01):
a lot. So I like Josh Allen over thirty three
rushing yards.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
My favorite play in this game a little parlay action
for Sunday Night Football.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Two touchdown scores.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Give me Derrick Henry at minus one forty five and
Josh Allen at minus one twenty That pays out at
plus two twenty four. I think we obviously see a
heavy share of Derrick Henry in the in the red zone,
but he also has that.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Ability to break off a fifty yard run.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
And Josh Allen, I think he's going to score a
little bit more touchdowns this year on the ground that
he did last year. James Cook had sixteen rushing touchdowns
last year. I think that number is definitely gonna come down.
We're gonna see Josh Allen score. We've seen them at
least try to implement the touch push. We could see
them try and execute that on the goal line. But
also Josh has that ability in the red zone to
use his legs and scramble uses legs on some design runs.

(24:49):
So I think those are gonna be your two most
likely touchdowns scores in this one, especially if we're using
two guys on the ground. You could also lump in
Lamar there at plus one oh five as well, but
I like that these two guys come out at plus
two twenty five. I think Derrick Henry is usually a
short fire thing for a touchdown knock on wood, and
Josh Allen's a pretty close second if you're up there,

(25:09):
kind of with Jalen Hurts as your best quarterback touchdown
scores in the entire NFL.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
So I think that's gonna be a fun one.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Probably see some fireworks over fifty and a half two
to maybe close out the week.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
It could be an exciting play as well to finish
out the week.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
But any last second comments on Week one in the
NFL Nick before we had out, we kind of kind
of touched on a little bit of everything big picture
OZ nothing really.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
I guess that Monday game against you know, Minnesota against
Chicago in Chicago. Right now, Vikings are one and a
half point favorites. I really like Chicago with now one.
I think, you know, with the Vikings having JJ McCarthy
starting year one, you know under Stenter after moving on
from San Donald, Jordan Addison not being able there being

(25:54):
able to play for being suspended, that Bears bringing so
much that Ben Johnson, all that you know, offensive line moving,
even defensive pieces that they've gotten, the weapons that they have.
I think overall, I think this Bears team is just
better as a whole in this Vikings.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Team right now.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
So I'm gonna would go Bears to be the home
underdogs and then win that one. And I like Drey Swifts.
I like his rushing yards and his receiving yards. I
think his rushing yards was at fifty, passing yards was
at ten.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
I think it was. I think Ben Johnson really heavily
involved in in this game. He saw what he could
do with Jamir Gibbs too. Similar play styles.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
I think Obviously, Jamir Gibbs is way more explosive, but
I think they get Drey Swift and Bob early and
often in that one.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
All Right, we got a big weekend of football. As
we say, we tried to touch on a little bit
of everything. We're probably gonna go a little bit heavier
on some NFL weeks and then a little heavier in
some college weeks based on the schedule. But look for
this to kind of be our weekly show and touch
on just a little bit of everything when it comes
to the football world. As football is king excited to

(26:56):
sit down Saturday and watch some games. Sunday, sit down
and watch the red zone and hopefully enjoy it. Eagles
win on Thursday night. As always, everyone, thank you for
tuning in. Please keep it locked here on the Gambler
all football season and be riding with us. Appreciate everyone
for tuning in, and we will talk next week.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
If you can wager on it, we're talking about it.
It's the Gambler.
