Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand, the new
and improved Diehard.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Radiop WDA Yes, and WD two seven.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Bring date Philadelphia. I is Fox Sports Radio like.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Gambler, Hello everyone, and welcome back to football. Is king
here on Fox Sports The Gambler Take two. A little
technical difficulty on take one. But we are sixty days
out from the college football season officially kicking off with
Nick mcclay's Iowa State Cyclones traveling over to Ireland to
play kse State and what should be a game between

(00:29):
two of the best quarterbacks in the Big Twelve with
Avery Johnson and Rock Obeck, but two of the best teams.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Kansas State projected to.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Win the Big Twelve as of right now over at
DraftKings Iowa State win total seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I think I saw.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Most markets, so two pretty good teams as we head
into the Big Twelve, and what we saw last year
was a wide open conference with Arizona State winning it
a very exciting game to start off the season. But
Nick wanted to do this episode tonight as we are
sixty days away from college football kicking off. Some of
the futures that were eyeing up. I have six in
front of me. I haven't officially bet them yet, but

(01:02):
there's six that I'm looking to play.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I'll probably do it a little bit closer.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
To the actual season, but sixty days away from football,
it's right around the corner.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, man, I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
And like you just said, it starts with you know, Cyclones.
They'll probably get ran out of the gym from Kansas State.
Avery Johnson will probably throw for three hundred, probably three touchdowns,
run his ass off against that Iowa State team. But yeah,
I just can't wait to watch football, man.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I can't wait to see it on the screen.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
And like you said, sixty days away, it's gonna come
quick and before we know it, we're gonna be watching
it sitting on our couch all day, drinking, eating, doing
you know, absolutely nothing but watching football.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
So I can't wait till we can get to that.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
But like you said, with Iowa State, they come in
facing a tough Kansas State team and a big twelve
that is pretty wide open. You don't really there's probably
like five or six teams that could really win that conference.
They got three teams that eight and a half wins
right now, with Arizona State, Kansas State, and Texas Tech.
Like you said, Kansas State and Arizona State both tied

(02:11):
to win the conference at plus five point fifty. I
think out of those three teams at eight and a half,
I'd probably take Arizona.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
State to go over that total.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Just coming off of Big Twelve championship making the College
Football playoffs bring back around sixteen I think fifteen starters.
You probably have the best quarterback wide receiver duo in
the conference with Sam Levin and Jordan Tyson coming off
eleven hundred yard season ten touchdowns too, and he didn't
even play in the Big Twelve championship or the playoffs.

(02:42):
So I think Arizona State's a team out of those
three teams with the eight and a half total that
would be more likely to go eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yeah, I mean you might.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
You must have looked at my phone or something before this,
because our first take we talked to Clemson and I
had a Clemson play, And now I have some some
Big Twelve plays as well, So let's just stick in
the Big Twelve here. I have Arizona State actually as
one of my plays, I've gone over that eight and
a half. I love what you said about you know,
Jordan Tyson coming back a receiver. Obviously, Sam Levitt lose

(03:14):
Camp Scataboo, that's a that's a big loss, one of
the not even just for Arizona State, but for college
football in general. He was just such a fun player
to watch last year. But I think that's a program
on the rise for sure. When you bring back your quarterback,
when you bring back a stud receiver, and you have
this young, hungary head coach in Kenny Dillingham, I think
the sky's limit for that program in this Big twelve.
Would not surprise me at all to see them back

(03:36):
in the College Football Playoff this year and making a run.
And let's not forget too they had Texas on the
ropes that quin yours had to make a throw of
a lifetime in over time to extend that game. Arizona
State was, you know, a heroic throwaway from moving on
in the College Football Playoffs.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
So that's a program I think certainly on the rise.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Does Kenny Dillingham stay there forever he's an alumni, there
is a chance, but I could see some other big
schools calling his name because this is certainly a coach
on the rise. He's one of the more you know,
energetic personalities and seems to be a really good offensive
mine as well. I think that Arizona State program is
certainly on the up and up, and I really like
that over eight and a half wins and staying there

(04:16):
in the Big twelve. One of my long shot play
I guess we could say is Sam Levitt to win
the Heisman. I think the biggest thing this year in
college football that I'm gonna be looking in terms of
handicapping these games or futures in general, is just the
the quarterbacks that return with experience. You look at all
the really last national championship quarterbacks. You look at last

(04:36):
year with Will Howard multiple years starter, JJ McCarthy multiple
year starter.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
You look at Mac.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Jones, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, all these teams
like they're not putting in these young quarterbacks and having
you know, immediate national championship type of success, big season
type of success. Sure they might get to the playoffs
some of these teams with a young guy, but you
look at a team like at Penn State with Drew
Aller coming back for his third year, starting Levitt in
his second year.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
After all the experience that he had.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I'm really gonna be looking at taking a chance on
these teams that have these experience quarterbacks and maybe not
so many of these high profile, you know, four or
five star guys at like a Texas with Arch Manning
or Alabama with their quarterback situation, Julian say in at
Ohio State, I'm gonna be right in the backs of
some of these more experienced quarterbacks. I think Sam Levitt
at thirty to one, I think he has a chance

(05:25):
to win you know, eleven games, maybe even go undefeated
in that Big Twelve and put up some really good numbers.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah, that's not a bad take at all, especially him
with this team most likely being at the top of
the Big Twelve. They're gonna be known, They're gonna be
nationally you know, recognized.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
So he's gonna be in the.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Limelight and his name is gonna be thrown around, especially
if they're winning. So I like that, and with the
moving on, I like Kansas State. I would take them
over eight and a half too. I know that last
year they lost a couple of games where they should
have won. They lost a lot of winball games. Have
a good offensive line. Everie Johnson has a year of
experience under his belt. So I think Johnson could be

(06:01):
a Big twelve star and earned a ton of respect
nationally if he can compete in this conference with Sam Levitt.
So those are two guys at the top of the
Big Twelve that can make a name for themselves in
this conference.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, and like you said, another quarterback there with Avery
Johnson that is going into year two starting.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
He was a guy was super high on that.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
We kind of saw it like he spluttered out of
the gate a little and he got a lot better
as the season went on. Really struggled with accuracy at times.
You look at his completion percontage. That's something that really
needs to increase. But he's a hell of an athlete
and a dual dual threat type of quarterback. That's a
really fun watch. But staying in the Big Twelve, another
one of the plays I had Utah. I know it

(06:42):
just hyped up Arizona State, but I think Utah's in
for a bounce back this year. Their season was derailed
last season with Cam Rising missing the entire year. I
think they have good value of plus six fifty here
to win the Big Twelve. Thinks the third best Sods.
But Utah brings in a quarterback from New Mexico, Devin
dan Pierre.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
If you don't know the name, you will by the
end of the season.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Kind of a bit of a different quarterback than we're
used to seeing from Utah.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
He's not really going to be the game manager. He's
an electric player.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
He's another dual threat type guy, a lot like Avery Johnson.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Devin dan Pierre is a name to know and Utah.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
I don't think we really ever see them have, you know,
back to back poor seasons. I think this is a
year that they're back in that nine tead win range,
get that chance in the Big twelve title game. I
think as of right now, I'll probably pick them against
Arizona State for my title matchup. But Utah plus six
fifty sometimes certainly ay and up. I love winning him
what he does as a coach. I think that that's

(07:37):
a team in line for a bouts back season.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I think I think our notes are pretty similar here
because I have their team total over for Utah. I
love them. You know, last season we came rising. What
can you really do with that? You know, they bring in,
like you said, Devin Dampierre from New Mexico led the
Mountain West in complete total offense just under four thousand yards.
They also bring in New Mexico's offensive coordinator, Jason Back,

(08:00):
so pretty much you know package deal there. And they
also bring in two other weapons from New Mexico in
the Cory Rodgers and Ryan Davis. So they got familiar
excuse me faces in the locker room here from New
Mexico now in Utah, and they probably have one of
the best offensive lines in this country, in the nation,
and they bring back all five starters. They got two

(08:21):
star tackles that probably could be first round picks in
this upcoming draft. So I think they are a team
that I don't know if they could win it all,
but there I love the over seven and a half
and they're definitely worth a sprinkle to win this conference.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, another situation I think we're going to see more
and more in cops football. You just started strowing it
with Utah bringing the New Mexico offensive coordinator along with
Devin dan Pier.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
The same thing with Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
They bring in Mattier at a quarterback and then Arbuckle
the offensive coordinator, both from Washington State. I think We're
gonna see a lot of these kind of package type
deals with with the transfer portal, these big time programs
being able to shot.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Some more money to and coaches.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I didn't really think we would be talking that much
Big twelve because the big sec are really, you know,
the dominant forces right now in college football. But even
like just looking at Top twenty five, like a way
too early top twenty five, I think that'll be the
real one, will be coming out within the next few weeks.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
But they have b Yu up there at ten.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Anything off b Yu Jake Rhetz laugh one of the
funner stories last year.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
They went eleven and two, seven and two in the
Big twelve last season.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, I mean, I think the real thing their season
is kind of just up in the air right now
with reds laugh and the you know, off the field
issues with whatever situation he he's in. I don't know
if he's gonna be, you know, not able to play,
but if he's able to play, I would love.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
That team to I don't remember this story.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
He I believe something with strangling a female.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
If I have, I don't really I'm not too up
to speed on it, but I believe something and not too.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Good, but I mean, if he can play.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
You know, their head coach is coming back ten season,
bring back both coordinators. It'll be a pretty similar type
of team. If brettz left is under center, so I
think they you know, they haven't easier schedule, so I'd
lean over seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
He's iftt if he's able to be.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
On the field, yeah, I'd something that I certainly was
not aware of. I saw the college football magazines are
supposed to be hitting the shelves by July fourth, so
maybe those will have some more updates out.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
But that's certainly something I'm gonna look into. But just
a sign it on b y U.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
I saw the five star quarterback committed today for the
class of twenty twenty six. Class of twenty twenty seven
Yu both in football and basketball. Now is shelling out
money with these nil deals. So that's gonna be something
to watch over these ext few years. How good these
BYU athletic programs can be. All right, let's transition out

(10:49):
of the Big twelve, but I think we'd be spending
that much time. Let's go over to the ACC. What
we tried to talk about in our first take. You
and I both are high on clump set. We both
have them at plus one point fifteen to win the ACC.
Said it at the beginning of the first episode, but
they play. They start off the season with LSU, the
end the season with South Carolina.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
The win totals nine and a half.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I'd say just take them to win the ACC because
why mess with potentially losing to two SEC teams and
then also dropping potentially one ACC game like you could
slip up. We saw last year they lost thirty three
twenty one to Louisville in the regular season as well,
and then they did lose to South Carolina at the
end of the season.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
I think they're head.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
And shoulders the best team in the ACC. Miami second
behind them at plus three eighty. I'm very low on them.
Florida State, I saw like their win totals only sitting
at like five and a half after having such a
great year two years ago and then last season only
winning two games, they seem to be a program headed
in the wrong direction.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Maybe a team like Louisville or SMU.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
SMU who had a really nice year last year and
made the College Football Playoff could be in the mix,
But I think Clemson at plus one fifteen, getting them,
I think they should be, you know, a favorite.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
They are the favorite two in the ACC. But like minus.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Odd, I think that again, them at plus money here
to win the ACC is a steal.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Absolutely, and like you touched on it a week very
weak ACC.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I took this a month or so ago at plus
one thirty.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
You know it's plus one fifteen club Nick with third
best Heisman odds have a ticket for that as well.
I think, however, this Clemson team goes is gonna be
how Key goes. They bring back a lot of talent
and have one of the best rosters in this entire country,
and he's only the best roster in the ACC. So,
like you said, I'm very low on Miami. Was never
a big fan of Carson Beck. Crystal Balls fell shy

(12:32):
of making the playoffs the last year, and he had
a number one overpack, So I mean, what are they
gonna do with Carson Beck and a worst complete overall roster.
I think, you know, they could benefit from a weak ACC,
but I still have no confidence in that Miami team.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
It's really Clemson or nothing for me.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
But down the board, I think it's worth taking a
staff for Louisville.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
You know, I love what their their offense can do.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
What we saw last season with that electric running back
Isaac Brown freshman year head over a thousand yards, eleven
rushing touchdowns, one of the more explosive players in the
entire conference and the entire country. So if there's some
team down the board in this ACC that could do it,
I think it's Louisville. They bring in Miller Moss from USC.

(13:16):
He showed some flashes of potential of what he could produce.
But I think those two teams could really do it.
Other than you know, I think it's just really Clemton
and Louisville. Not too high on Miami, SMU said coming
off a nice year, but I would buy more into
Clemson than any of these teams in the ICC.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, I have another ACC play back to Miami. Let's
stay on them. I got them under nine and a half.
You're gonna have to pay a little bit juice there
at minus one sixty. That's a team that I would
even look to maybe take like the alternate and you
get closer to plus money or even into a plus
money range on like under.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Like an eight and a half start off the season
with with notre game.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
That's a fun Week one matchup on the Sunday of
Labor Day weekend. But they play Florida, who I think
is gonna be in the for a bounce here at
Florida State.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
You know, it remains to be seen.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
They play Louisville, they have to go to SMU, and
they have a game at Virginia Tech, who they're gonna
be a hit or miss team, and at Pitt Like
these are not easy places to go and play.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
They're I think they're they're.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
A disaster waiting to happen. I'm all out on Carson Beck.
I think Miami is in for a downward side this
year after having you know, a pretty great season for
for the recent standards last year in elevating Kim Wored
all the way to the number one pick. I think
they're in for a downward side this year. Carson Beck
is not that guy. I think they're going to really struggle.
The one kind of silver lining on their schedule they
do avoid having to play Clemson.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
That's a good thing for them there. But Carson Beck,
like say.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
What you want about him as the quarterback, He's still
coming off a major reconstructive surgery on his elbow.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Who knows what he's going to look like.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
I think he's one of the most more overrated college
football quarterbacks we've seen in the last five years or so.
Let's keep in mind that he was the quarterback at Georgia,
like he had all the talent in the world around them,
and sets and bended. I think, you know, out formed him,
outplayed him obviously, going and winning to national titles. So
I think Carson Beck leads Miami to a disastrous season.

(15:07):
I don't even know if he he finishes the season out.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
I think they're gonna be.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
One of the more abject failures in all of collge
football this year. From you know, the big picture representatives.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Yeah, I'm completely with you. I think we're on the
same boat for Miami. I never really saw it with
Carson back like you just touched on. He was on
a Georgia team that really had everything surrounding him in
a great, you know situation, he didn't really turn the
ball over, and then we saw what happened last year
when he did turn the ball over. So, you know,
I think certainly right now he doesn't have any really

(15:40):
chemistry with this you know Miami receiving Corps.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
He just got his arm surgically prepared.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
He doesn't have really that much time to throw, you know,
and build chemistry with his new teammates.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
So I'm definitely down Miami and I would definitely take
that on here.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
All right, let's go over to the Big Ten before
we head over to the SEC. I don't have out
of the six futures that you know as of June
twenty fourth. There's more time to go, but no one,
I don't have a play in that conference right now.
Do you have anything that you're eyeing up as a
win total Heisman winner over under anything out of the
Big Ten?

Speaker 4 (16:15):
As I'm a lot higher on Penn State than I
think I am on either Oregon or Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I like what bring Penn State brings back.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
They bring back a lot of talent, really improve their
wide receiver cord, which is the main need what they
needed to do. They added Syracuse at Troy and USC
wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
They bring back both running backs.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Main concern is just getting over that hump and beating
you know, the top dog teams like the Ohio State,
Michigan in the Oregon and they host or they Yeah,
they host Oregon early in the year, so that's gonna
be you know, a make or break team or game
show if they are a.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Top team in this country.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
They only really have one tough game after that and
that's Ohio State. So with their schedule and roster, I
think it's a nice bet for them to win the
Big twelve or go over the team total.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Yeah. I think it was ten and a half a
plus one twenty five good year.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I think we say it every year, is this the
year that Penn State can get over the top, But like,
this is as good of a chances ever quarterback who
say what you want about Drew Aller, He's going to
be in discussions for, you know, a first round pick.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
He's going into his third year.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
As experience of a quarterback as there Israeli in college
football heading into this season, you can argue the best
coordinator duo with any cotal Nikky who had a really
good first year last year with them, and then they
bring in Jim Knowles from from Ohio State the d C.
From there, you can argue that's the best pairing of coordinators,
maybe the best running back.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Duo in Singleton and Allen.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
You touched on the transfers that they brought in in
the receiver room, and then the defensive roster has been loaded,
you know for years under Franklin. You just look at
you know, on the NFL Sundays there's guys from Penn
State constantly flying around in making plays. They're gonna have
a slew of playmakers on that team as well this
year on the defensive side of the ball. You know,
if not now, then then when I think I said

(18:03):
that last year in regards to Penn State when they
hosted Ohio State and they got off to a good
start and then kind of pissed down on their leg
down the stretch. What do we see from this Penn
State team this year? I think it's gonna be one
of the more interesting stories. But there's a legit a
chance this team opens up the season as a number
one overall team in the country. So it could be
a pretty crazy season up there in Happy Valley. I

(18:24):
think I'm actually going to Week two.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
I believe it is.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
They're playing like pit Bulls Florida International Panthers. So a
little Happy at Happy Valley action love for me anything
else on the Big ten before we transition over to
the SEC for our last kind of you know, look
ahead at some of these early season futures.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Nothing really, I'm kind of interested to see how Michigan
does this year is and who they really put under center.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Are they going to do Bryce Underwood? I think they
probably should. I mean, he's probably the best on the team.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
But it's a completely revamped offense from what we've seen
the past few years. You know, they've lost a few
guys on the trenches on both sides of the ball.
They have to go to Oklahoma, go to Nebraska, but
Ohio State comes to that and we all know how
that game went last year. Kind Of interested to interested
to see with this new look offense, how do you

(19:17):
think Michigan's gonna hold up in this Big ten.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah, the Michigan.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Storyline, I guess is something that I'm gonna be keeping
a close eye on this year too, because I think
that is a team that should have a ton of pressure.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Like you won.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
I know, you won the National Championship two years ago,
but like all right, Jim Harball left, a lot of
the guys went to the NFL.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
But you're still Michigan.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
There's no reason for you know, as big of a
aggression that they had last year outside of they didn't
have a quarterback. Like if Sharion Moore goes out there
and has another year like you did last year, goes
six and six, seven and five, you know, I think
there is a legit chance that he does get fired
or enters the next season as potentially having the hottest
seat out of any coach in the country. You went
out and threw that bag at Rice Underworld, but they

(20:01):
just brought in Jake Garcia out of the transfer portal.
That makes me kind of question, like, do they nothing
Underwood's ready. I think Michigan was still solid enough that
they were in a lot of games last year that
if they literally just had a quarterback that is competent
enough to throw a forward pass, which they didn't have
on the roster last year, that that could have been,
you know, a nine win team or so instead of

(20:22):
what they were. I think that they're in for a
bounce back when total since eight and a half right now,
and it's that's juice to plus to minus one sixty,
So the books are expecting them to bounce back as well.
But Michigan definitely a team to watch them file this year,
a few more minutes left, we'll hit on the sec
real quick. I have one sec play. Let's hear yours first.

(20:44):
Because we've been on a similar path for a lot of.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
These, I would say I'm gonna be a lot lower
on Alabama and Georgia than I think. You know, the
last couple of years have been Alabama ands this season,
you know, nine and a half, still with question marks
at quarterback, and you know, they got Ty Simpson who
hasn't been there for a few years and hasn't been
able to win the job. They bring in Austin Mack

(21:09):
who came over from Washington with the boar, and have
a freshman, you know, coming in Within Russell.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
So you know, the saying is, if you have that
many quarterbacks and.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
You don't have a decision, you don't have one at all.
So I'm a little lower on this Alabama team just
based on their quarterback spot.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
They don't have the toughest schedule though, and have an
insanely good roster, so that is a bright spot for them.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
They obviously have one of the best bright young ride
receivers in Ryan Williams, so whoever the quarterback is doesn't
really have to do much. Just don't turn the ball over,
manage the game. I don't really feel too strong either
way on the over under, but I'm a little skeptical
and lower on that Alabama team than normal. And with Georgia,
they exit the Carson Beck era. You know, they throw

(21:51):
in Gunner Stockton now who finished the season after Beck
got injured. They lost a bunch of players in the draft,
as they normally do, but they only returned seven starters
from lan year.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
For new offensive linemen.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
They bring in a couple of new guys Branch from
USC Noah Thomas from A and M.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
So they got him some weapons.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
A little revamped roster, but it's not the typical Georgia roster.
They got some tough games, but their toughest games are
at home. They play Alabama at home, Old Miss at home,
and Texas at home. So a team that I'm a
lot higher on I think is LSU they said at
eight and eight and a half. But they do have
one of the tougher schedules in the in the in

(22:30):
the countries. They projected over six ranked opponents and open
up against Clemson on the road.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
They have to travel Old.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Miss, Alabama and Oklahoma, home games against Florida, South Carolina,
n A, and m but Garrett Nussmeier second in odds
in Heisman. I think he's gonna have a very productive season.
He lose Will Campbell. That sucks on the offensive line.
Brian Kelly's still looking for that first, you know, playoff appearance.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
So I think this.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Team's gonna be, you know, begging to get to the
to the college football playoffs.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
They're current one plus one twenty five to make it.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
I think I would take LSU to make the playoffs
if if I were, you know, got into my head.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Yeah, my SEC. One play that you know, I've I've
lined up for right now. I just think the SEC
and like the Big ten, like it's gonna be so
competitive at the top, like really worth like tying in
your money to you know, over ten and a half.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Like it's literally.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Two losses and you're you're done. And Drew all Er,
you know, knock on with that doesn't happen. But could
go out there the first game of the season and
separate his shoulder and there you go, your season potentially
coming down the drain. My one play out of the
SEC that I'm eyeing up as of June twenty fourth,
is Garrett nus Meyer two in the Heisman at plus
nine hundred. You look at his numbers from last year,

(23:42):
he threw the ball five hundred and twenty five. He
three thirty seven for five twenty five, twenty nine touchdowns,
twelve interceptions. Definitely has to clean it up. But there's
a team that they're gonna trust him. They're gonna let
him go out there and sling the rock. It's gonna
be a second full year starter. But he's played since
twenty twenty one. He he's got snaps each year twenty one,
twenty two, twenty three. Last year's full first full years

(24:04):
to start at twenty four, and they trust him to
throw it five hundred and twenty five times.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
It's a guy too.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
That is in the discussion as of right now to
be the number one pick in next year's draft.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
So I'm expecting a big season room him.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
LSU has shown, you know, with Jaden Daniels when he
was there, this this program that can produce Heisman winning quarterback.
So I think Garrett nelse Meyer enters the season with
all the you know, green flags or whatever you want
to call it them, the green light like Basically, he's
like a Conker Nippole for Duke, Like you can shoot
the three anytime you want it, garn Elsmeyer, you can

(24:36):
throw it whenever you want. You might have to clean
up the interceptions a little bit, but he's gonna have
the green light to sling the ball around the yard.
So I think opportunity is there for him to have
a big season. And like you said, with LSU, with
all their pressure, he gets ten to eleven wins, that's gonna.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Be, you know, on par for a Heisman season. So
we have plenty more to.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Get into over the coming weeks, but we'll have to
cut tonight's episode now, probably due you know, over the
next few weeks, some conference specific episodes and really start
to dive in them a little bit deeper, NFL news
a little bit more stale.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I feel like people more up to date with that.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
We'll get some more stuff with with the college football
game out, But thank you.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Everyone for tuning in. As always here in Fox Sports,
a Gambler Football is king.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
We'll be back next week with another episode headed into
the July fourth weekend, But thank you everyone for tuning in,
and we'll talk next week.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Spreads total and all the prop that's in between. It's
the gambler
