(00:00):
One to one point five. Yeah. Yeah, fem Madison's Classic rock two
for Tuesday with the Stones, alsoBeyond the Studs Tuesday with Legacy Exteriors.
Their owner Josh Gawittz, is backwith us today. Josh, how are
you. I'm doing fantastic. Howare you? I'm great? I'm great,
says we're just kind of talking aboutI did have COVID a while back,
so I have this cough that justcomes out of nowhere. So if
(00:20):
you hear me coughing, I apologize, No no problem, all right.
How was your long weekend? LaborDay weekend? It was great? Yeah?
Yeah, would you do? Wecelebrated Labor Day by doing no labor
nice. It's the best way todo it. Yeah, not me.
I was working. We are youworking? Yeah? Oh? We just
hung out, enjoyed the weather awesome. Any golf, No golf, no,
(00:43):
just uh. We got it in, some boating, got in some
water activities. The supper club hereand there. Brandy old fashioned. Do
you have one or two? Youknow it? Yes, you have to
with the wiscons and supper clothes withouta doubt. But as I mentioned,
their owner, Josh Gawitts of Legacyexteriors. He's with us here on iba
yea FIM. Last week Brock waswith us. Easy for me to say,
(01:03):
we kind of detail the sales processin which you guys sort of employ
overats legacy exterior. It's really nopressure approach. You really listen to customers
things like that. One of thethings that Brock and I didn't touch out,
but I heard you touch on withour station upstairs. I'll go with
thirteen cent was kind of how whenyou first the salesperson first goes out and
(01:25):
meets the potential customer, there's nobid given right there. Let's say no.
And that's truly by design because wewant to I think the contractor customer
relationship has got to be built ontrusts on both sides, and I think
it's hard for you to develop thattrust relationship when all that consumer is thinking
(01:48):
about is the pressure that is goingto be applied. Yeah, and so
we eliminate them from the equation rightoff the bat. There is no bid
given on spot. The do theinterview process probably like Brock already talked about,
we take the pictures of the house, get all the measurements, put
that house in a three D imagingall that fun stuff, and then we
(02:10):
put together the bid and it's andit's emailed, and it's extremely detailed,
like you got I think it us. I mean we we we break out
everything by the part, even liketo nails to the nails everything. Yeah.
So so that way it's very clearon what's being done on that home
(02:34):
and hopefully answers a lot of questions. I know that on projects there's gonna
be questions, but I think aslong as we can cover as much upfront
and answer all the questions and fillall those homeowners needs, there's gonna be
more of an understanding of what's goingto be accomplished. Talk without owner of
legacy exteriors, hopefully you're one stepshop exterior contractor of choice. And you
(02:57):
know, you kind of mentioned thatpressure field that people kind of you know,
that get scared with sometimes when they'redealing with different sales people. And
there's other companies into your industry thatdon't help with that sort of thought process.
No, you know what I'm saying. Not to name those companies,
but I mean it's out there, that high pressure kind of sales tactic,
it's there. I think that's ahuge part of our industry unfortunately. Yeah,
(03:22):
and I think that's why partly whypeople are afraid to go through the
bid process, because they hear allthe horror stories and no one wants to
take their time out of their dayto get pressure applied to them when they're
just trying to gather information choose trulythe right contractor to do that home.
(03:44):
No one, No one wants tobe pressured into making a decision. Yeah.
Well, I think it's important too, because you've said it here with
us before, is that people shouldget more than just one bid. People
should have more than one conversation withinyou know, exteriors company. Yeah.
I think it's good for a lotof things. We talked about the trust
(04:05):
element of it, but there's maybesomebody's bringing design aspects to it that weren't
thought of before, or or youknow, material elements to it that weren't
thought of before. It's a it'sa nice together other people's opinions, not
just on this but anything. Right. So, like you, you might
(04:28):
have your own idea in your headwhat you want to have happen on your
home, but then you get itmaybe an idea from this person or an
idea from this person, and thenyou can combine them. But it's more
about picking the I don't think anybody'safraid of making a decision right, but
you're you don't want to make thewrong one right regret. You don't want
that. You don't want regret. And and when how many times have you
(04:49):
been pressured into doing something and you'relike, this was a great idea,
you know what I mean? No, no, And you know, I
really encourage people to to check outyour website, Legacy dash Exteriors dot com.
Toward the top, you'll see atap for testimonials as well. Click
on that. Read some of thosetestimonials because people hear me talk about you
(05:10):
all the time. Am I glowingreviews? But there are so many others
out there like me who have hadgreat experiences with your company, Legacy Exteriors,
and they can read all that. It's a great place to kind of
start and do some homework as you'rekind of exploring those exterior companies. But
again, we're talking about Josh Gawitz, Sunday Beyond the Studs, Tuesday,
windows, gutters, signing, decks, riffs, three season, four season,
(05:30):
life rooms, sunrooms, pergolos, virtually everything you can do on the
outside of a home. Brock didremind us though last week that you guys
get calls about landscaping. No,you guys don't do land everything but landscape.
Yeah, we don't do landscape. It's kind of fur them all.
It's part attached to that home, yes, in some way. Yes,
Yes. So one thing I wantedto touch on today too was the three
(05:51):
season four season life rooms sunrooms. That's something that we talked a lot about
a couple of months ago, buthere, you know, as we've enjoyed
these ninety plus degree days, tonsof sunshine, you know, I think
that kind of has got those ideasof people wanting to be outside more maybe
bring the outside in to their homesas well, And that's a great way
to do just that. Yeah,I think the line that four seasons put
(06:14):
together with all their different options oftheir outdoor rooms is phenomenal. It's a
great way of not only expanding, you know, additional square footage to your
home, but that square footage thatyou're adding is just probably going to be
the most beautiful, most used roomin your house when it's all said and
done. Yea. You may noteven realize it at first, how much
you're going to use a room likethat, Yeah, I mean it's so
(06:35):
much space for one, but it'sjust beautiful, you know. It's literally
what you said, bring the outdoorsin. And in Wisconsin it feels like
we're either scalding hot or it's tenbelow right, so we don't have I
don't feel like we have enough ofthat seventy two with a slight breeze to
(06:59):
my back type of weather we talkedabout a couple of weeks ago to our
ideal climates San Diego, California's whatyou just describe. Yeah, well because
they I don't like bugs either,if they're right there with you. But
also we should kind of continue toplant this scene in people's head. Winter
is coming. It's not if youhave some you know, questions about your
roof, don't you know, don'tgo into winter and have the snow start
(07:20):
falling in question every day? Ismy roof gonna make it through? No?
I mean if your roof is inpoor shape and as a need of
replacing, do not wait. Youknow, oh, I can get through
one more winter, because what ifyou can't? You know, and and
then you got more issues than thanwhat you want to deal with it's the
O s ol thing, you know. Yeah, you're not gonna have to
(07:42):
explain that acronym. But I thinkpeople understand it. Yeah, I hope
they did. I hope they do. So all right, Josh, do
we want to throw out this backto the School special? Sure, happening
over at Legacy Exteriors. Yeah,it's it's today only, you know,
call in, make an appointment. But if you're thinking about doing an exterior
project, you know, besides landscaping, and and you call us today obviously
(08:07):
you know mentioned your show and wewill get you on for the special.
But we want to reward all thoseparents that had to deal with their kids
all summer with a back to schoolspecial. So we are throwing out ten
percent off of anything we do,rough and siding, windows, decks,
gutters, gutter guards, you know, outdoor rooms, you name it.
(08:31):
We will give an adjational ten percentoff. People are listening to this podcast,
let's say tonight at eight o'clock,if they called them left the voicemail.
Absolutely, So it's just gotta betoday, September fifth. Yeah,
yeah, right, we don't wantwe don't want to be offering this forever.
Yeah, you know, it's a. It's a pretty good one.
And and I have to I didnot discuss this with my team, so
(08:54):
I literally have to after this makea phone call and say just a heads
up, we're yes. Two twoone three thousand. That is the number
two dial gang again. Legacy Exteriorsback to the School special ten percent off
anything they do that lasts through allday today, September the fifth again,
two two one three thousand. Josh, thank you sir, thanks for having
(09:16):
me. Yes, so you're readyfor back to school? Your wife's going
back to I want to say workbecause she, I mean, she does
a lot of You don't think whatshe does is work. Stop it.
Don't put those words in my mouthbecause she's gonna hear this. Don't put
those words in my mouth. Yeah, she's back this today was her first
day as well, so I thinkthe vibe around the house was a little
(09:39):
nervous, but maybe a little readyas well. So yeah, so many
across southern Wisconsin, really all overthe US are feeling that, right,
Yeah, they really are. Sothat was be honest Tuesday with Legacy Exteriors.

website. WYBFM dot com, atwo for Tuesday rolls on in a few
