Speaker 1 (00:01):
In its earliest days, the major function of radio was news.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Going on here, beautiful, let everybody go.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Why don't you put on a show and charge it?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Mission?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Okay, so I would say something, wouldn't use it. I'm tomay, No,
your factor.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Here will be a show for everyone who loves music
and murder.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Coming on, chap we gott it. Take show to dude.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Showtime. Are you ready? I'm ready to.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
Job.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Good morning? How are you welcome to? Uh? What's today? Wednesday?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Tuesday?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Tuesday? I can't see again because the the big computer
thing is black air. It is. It's six ' ten.
Good morning. If you are out on the Beltway this morning,
I'm sorry. It can be there. Well, if it's on
the outer room backed up. I think it's backed up
all the way deep into two seventy now. But it

(01:10):
wasn't like democracy. Going over the bridge into Virginia. As
I was coming in, I was like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Was it construction or not?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
No, that was an accident, and well an accident in
that construction zone.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Double whammy.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
And looking at it, you know, like you drive and
you drive and you drive, and you're like five miles
down the road and it's still backed up and you're
looking over there, going, oh, that sucks. And then there
was an accident on the interloop. I think they got
that one cleared pretty quick, and I was thankfully at
like the front of the line, you know, I wasn't
too far back when they had a couple of left

(01:43):
lanes closed and was able to squeak through it about
five ten minutes. But it's already turned into a mess
out there. Heard of a couple other spots that are
getting nasty too, So yeah, know, I don't know what
do you do when you're stuck in traffic. I throw
on a podcast, take a deep breath, and just go
nothing I can do about it.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I just curse.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I'm just gonna sit here. Don't need to get the
blood pressure up, just gonna sit here. I had a
dream last night that a giant frog put me on
a fish hook.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
As deserved.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
You think I'm kidding.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I believe you completely.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
This is more of a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
You're still haunted by that, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I am. I don't know why. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Why, hoebe you're growing as a person.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I used a frog as a piece of bait for fish.
I felt bad about it. I am growing as a person.
That's what's happening. Okay, we have tickets again this morning
for the Carolina game coming up this weekend. We're gonna
chat with Zach Selby. It's Tuesday, so he'll be on
the show at about eight o'clock this morning. LaVar Arrington

(02:53):
will be on the show tomorrow and we'll recap Sunday's game,
and then we'll also give away some tickets for It's
Black Crows, right for the Big Word of the week.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, and we also have Brian Reagan tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
What we do? Where did those come from? When did
that happen? Stuff just falls out of the sky. I
don't think I gave those away yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Now this is where I show up the Hippodrome next week.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
All right, well, we got those two tickets, how about that?
So we'll have those to give away and for the
big word of the week. New letter comes your way
at seven twenty this morning. That's for Black Crows tickets.
It's DC's Classic Crock, Big one hundred. DC's Classic Crock.
It's Big one hundred. I was reading this list of
five overused phrases you should avoid at work. I was like, oh,

(03:41):
let me see these. I run through them. I'm like, yeah,
I heard that one yesterday, that one yesterday, that one yesterday,
that one this morning, that one yesterday. They say most
bosses can't stand these words, but it seems like everybody
uses them. Synergy.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Oh, it makes me throw up in my mouth when
just hearing you say it, you.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Can really just say collaboration or team effort. Leverage. They
love the leverage words, a catch all term that isn't
always used correctly. So what you really mean is utilize
or capitalize on circle back? Okay, guilty. I use that
one a lot of emails. That's that's my way of saying, hey,
dumb ass, are you going to respond? I do that

(04:26):
a lot. Hey, just circling back on this, that's the
playway to say, are you ignoring me? Try revisit or
check back in, move the needle. I hate that one.
Influence outcome or advanced goals, and uh, low hanging fruit

(04:47):
like my jokes. Yeah, I was gonna say, I've heard
that one quite a few times. Looking fruit that that
was really kind of low hanging fruit, wasn't it what
that penis joke? Yes, of course it was. You know,
the low hanging fruit needs to be picked as well.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Right, needs it's love too.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
You can't just leave it on the vine to Rod,
Oh right, yeah, but I was just going through this going, yeah,
everyone uses these, why should you stop using them?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's been a while since I've heard synergy.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, probably, But remember there was a good year or
two where that was like, oh my god, just like
if I hear the word synergy one more time.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
That's why I hate it so much now, because it
was always like that go to word.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
I'm trying to think about there any others we get
a lot? Does the Boss have any catchphrases he uses?
I'm gonna have to think about it, but I'm sure
he does. I'm sure he does. It is six twenty three.
Coming up. Things I know just before seven o'clock. Sack
Selby on the show at eight this morning, tickets for
the game against Carolina. Northwest Stadium's got those to give

(05:56):
away every day this week. Apparently we have Brton Reagan
tickets too. I'll tell you what, let's do this on
those and we'll do it throughout the morning. All I
got to do is send a talk back. How's that work?
You open the iHeart app Okay, there's a little microphone
there when you pull up Big one hundred, if you
click on that microphone, I'll let you leave us a message, right,
very cool. It's like a voicemail. Yeah, and it pops
up right in front of us here in the studio,

(06:17):
So you can request songs. That way, you can comment
on you know, some dumb thing Crash said, you can
do whatever you want. Just how I threw that on you.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I don't want to comment on them dumb things. I say, no,
that would be mean.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
There's only thirty seconds, is that all?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
It gives you thirty seconds? All right? So if you
pull up the iHeart app, pull up Big one hundred,
click on the microphone, leave us a message. All you
have to do is, you know, you always get bonus
points for creativity, but it's a random trind So all
you have to do is just say, hey, I want
to put my name in the hat for tickets. Do
you want them to leave a phone number or email?
What's the best way?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I know it'll automatically help collect it if they're registered.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
All right, So just give us your name and say, hey,
I want to put my name in the hat for
the four tickets to see Brian Reagan and we'll drop
for those at the end of the show this morning, DC,
do give us.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
The name that Do you give us the name? That's
that's important.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I get those messages at my gym all the time.
I own a martial arts academy, jiu jitsu academy. Most
of you know that. I get those all the time.
They drive me crazy. Here's what they do. Hi, I'm
really interested in this. It's like a five minute long
message right with one hundred questions.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
They don't leave a name or a phone number yep.
And you're like, really, dude, show the feeling. No name,
no phone number, and then a few days later you'll
get an email. I never heard back, so you suck.
Circling back on this, DC's class crack.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Energy is losing here.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
It's big one hundred, DC's class crack. It's big one
hundred Black Dog led Zeppelin six thirty nine signed for things.
I know A zeph second, zepto second. I just thought
it one you're talking about to overused terms at work.

(08:10):
I just popped into my head right there, and the
why zepto second made me think of it best practices.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Yea, I hate that one best practices. I thought you
were gonna say zepto second.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
And like to discuss best practice. Zepto second is a
trillionth of a billionth of a second. It is the
smallest unit of time ever measured. Holy crap, a trillionth
of a billionth of a second. How do you even
measure that? There are forty two NFL players with the

(08:48):
most points in their careers, and they are all kickers.
The forty third highest scoring player is Jerry Rice, who
was a wide receiver. So the forty two highest scoring
players and well that makes sense. You just never think
of it that way. In the NFL are all kickers.

(09:08):
And then if you get outside of kickers, if you
Jerry Rice. Lawrence of Arabia is over two hundred and
twenty minutes long, and it does not have a single
line of dialogue spoken by a woman. Really, now, think
I've ever taken the time to sit and watch Lawrence
of Arabia.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I have not.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
I don't. Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
I don't even see that happening anywhere in my future.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
No. The island of Puerto Rico was originally called San
Juan Bautista, and the main city was called Puerto Rico.
But eventually those switched, the island became Puerto Rico and
the city became San Juan. And finally, bananas contained about
four hundred and fifty milligrams of potassium and about zero

(09:55):
point zero one percent of that is radio active. So
if you could sit down and eat I don't know,
one hundred and fifty trillion bananas, you would die from
radiation poisoning. The good news is I don't see anyone
sitting down and eating one hundred and fifty trillion bananas.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Not in one sitting.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
No, not the zebdo second, it is six point forty one.
Coming up in the seven o'clock hour, we'll give you
a new letter for the big word of the week.
That's going to be your chance to win Black Crow's
tickets this week, Brian Reagan tickets. How we're doing that
as you just jump in and throw us at talk
back and we'll put your name in the hat. So
pull up the iHeart app, pull up Big one hundred
to see a little microphone there, click on it, just

(10:35):
say hey, I want to put my name in the
hat for the Brian Reagan tickets. It's a four pack
And when you say I want to put my name
in the hat. Please leave your name helps us tremendously.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
That's important.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
And we will also have some tickets later this morning
for the home game against Carolina. Stick around. It's DC's
Classic Rock, Big.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
One hundred WBIGFM, Washington and iHeartRadio station from the nation's capital.
This is Big Rock Mornings with Jackson on Big one
hundred DC's Classic Rock.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
And good morning to you.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Zach Selby coming up on the show about eight o'clock
this morning. Well, I'll have some tickets to give away
for a home game against Carolina Northwest Stadium. That's coming
your way just before nine o'clock this morning. You are
listening to DC's Classic Rock. It's a Big one hundred.
DC's Classic Rock is Big one hundred. It is Genesis,
and that's all. This is a crazy story. I had

(11:30):
heard about this a while back the night had heard
much on it since. But there's a guy in the UK.
He had about eight thousand bitcoin back in the day
when it was worthless. He's in Wales and he accidentally
threw away eight thousand bitcoin in twenty thirteen. He's now

(11:52):
suing the city council for six hundred and forty seven
million dollars because they won't let him go look for it.
They won't let him dig it up. Kind of hard
to blame this guy for letting not letting it go.
I mean, it's half a billion dollars. Thirty nine year
old James holl He's known in the world of crypto
because he is the IT engineer in Wales who almost

(12:12):
got rich off bickcoin in twenty thirteen. He had a
hard drive head but eight thousand on them. He accidentally
threw it away. He mined them in two thousand and
nine when they were worthless, then forgot about it. He
only remembers only remembered when the crypto blew up a
few months after he tossed the drive when he was
cleaning out his desk.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
So he's suing the city council for well a lot
of money, six hundred and forty seven million. He's been
begging them to let him search for the drive in
the landmine. They won't. He claims. He's assembled a team
that can excavate the site and find the bag that
the hard drive is in, and he knows roughly where
it should be. He thinks the dig will cost around

(12:56):
thirteen million bucks. He's apparently secured the funding. He's even
offered to give the city ten percent once he finds it.
So he's offered to give the city like fifty million
dollars and they still won't pudge. They said digging up
that much trass would cause an environmental disaster to the
surrounding area and could take three years of digging plus

(13:18):
another year to bury it all again. So he plans
to use the lawsuit as leverage and is hoping they'll
let him dig to avoid a long and expensive legal battle.
He'll get his day in court in December, but he
plans to push forward even if he loses. He says
he'll take it all the way to the UK Supreme
Court if necessary. Yeah, that would be It would suck.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I didn't know bitcoin had gone up that much in value.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah, well, what's a bitcoin worth now?

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Apparently eight thousand or worth half a billion dollars.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Let's see. Well, I mean it's us. You can get
a price here, you know, it goes up and down
right now. The life price a bit coin is sixty
five thousand per bitcoin, So sixty five thousand, what did
he have? Eight thousand of them?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
He had eight thousand.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Jesus, can you Mentione standing out there looking at that
landfill and going, I have half a billion dollars out
there in the dirt somewhere. That is insane. I mean,
I see why he's fighting so hard for it, but
there's no guarantees even gonna find it. He's secured the

(14:30):
the thirteen thirteen million to do the excavation, so somebody's
gambling on it, you know, somebody's saying, all right, cool,
we'll loan you the money to do this dig.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
How big is this land shill?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I don't know, but it's been buried since, you know,
for over ten years, so it's it's deep down in
the earth somewhere in a bag. Like his odds of
finding it cannot be good. He thinks he can though
a couple of years of digging. Well, I mean maybe
if they go through every old piece, you know what
I mean, they might, But then who's to say that.

(15:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
There's a hard drive decompose over the course, didn't probably not.
I don't know. It's crazy. A lot of money sitting
out there in the dirt. I'd be out there just
digging myself I'd go out there with a shovel every day,
every day, every day. Just dig it is seven to fourteen.
We have some tickets to give away for Brian Reagan

(15:27):
a four pack this morning. You can get in on
those by leaving us a talk back. Just give us
your name and say, hey, I want to put my
name in the hat for the tickets. That simple. Just
pull up the iHeart out, pull up Big one hundred
to see that little microphone click on there, leave us
a message and we'll put your name in that. We
have Carolina tickets for the game against Carolina at Northwest
Stadium coming up this weekend home game. We'll give those

(15:48):
away just before nine o'clock and Zach Selby from Commanders
dot Com will be on the show at eight this morning.
DC's Classic Crockets Big one hundred, DC's Class Crockets Big
one hundred. DA you really makes it sweet, James Jackson
here and Over the years, Walmart has banned its fair
share of records based on lyrics or covers or Ultimate
Classic Rock dot comput out a list of the most

(16:10):
famous ones. Going through this list pretty funny. They banned
never Mind from Nirvana obviously for the Naked Baby on
the cover. Nirvana refused to alter it, and believe it
or not, Walmart actually caved on that one and put
the record on shelves because it was so huge at
the time, probably figured they were losing money. They also

(16:33):
banned Nirvana's in Utero because the back cover included fetuses
and of course the song title rape Me. This time,
Nirvana made the changes to get it on the shelves,
supposedly because it was not selling as well as they
had hoped. Mister Happy Go Lucky from John Mellencamp, really,

(16:57):
I guess the original cover had Jesus and the Devil
on it. Walmart didn't like that. Cheryl Crow the song
Love Is a Good Thing had a line about kids
killing each other with guns they bought at Walmart. I
remember that song. Cheryl refused to change the lyrics and
she probably lost out on hundreds of thousands of dollars

(17:18):
in album sales because Walmart would not carry that. This
was his interesting Striper had and Stripper is a religious band. Yeah,
and they had a record called God Damn Evil, but
it was spelled out like God Damn Evil, Right, makes sense,

(17:41):
And Walmart wouldn't carry that. No, and that's Christian metal.
And the title is obviously meant to be anti evil,
meaning God Damn's evil. But Walmart objected to the word
God is what they ultimately said. Huh uh the Fat

(18:01):
of the Land from Prodigy, that was band of Walmart.
Remember the song smacked my Bitch up?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yes to do?

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, that was the problem.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
How use that as my opening? Bad music for years?

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah? That's uh. That that that's what. That's what stopped
it from being putting on the shelves of Walmart. Dookie
from Green Day, I mean poop bombs, monkeys throwing feces,
an atomic mushroom cloud, an angel with a harp?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
What's the problem?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
What's not to love about the whole thing? Walmart ended
up selling it with just a slightly altered cover.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
What did they change?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
I don't know. I don't know if I've ever seen
the Walmart version of that One Countryman by Willie Nelson.
Walmart didn't like the idea had pot leaves on the cover,
so the record label did make an alternate cover for Walmart.
Undertow from Tool was also banned. Inside of the album
included male and female nudity, a cow licking himself, and

(19:00):
members of the band with pins in their head. Adam
Jones does some crazy artwork man does. He designs all
their records and he's out there. He does some really
crazy stuff. He does their videos too. Tool did Answer
issue a censored version for Walmart, but inside it included
a form that you could fill out to receive all

(19:22):
the missing artwork for free. Pretty good idea. And finally
there's like twenty of them if you want to see
the rest of my ultimate classic rock dot com Arctic Monkeys.
I love this one. Suck it and See. Walmart objected
simply because of the title, even though apparently in British

(19:42):
expression it's a very common thing to say it just
means give it a try. I'm gonna start using that
instead of give it a try.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
It rings a lot better.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Suck it and see give it a try. Yeah, apparently
it's a very I'm in British expression, and Arctic Monkeys
are obviously British.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
There was Poisons album with the demon face on it,
remember that when they had to block it out.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
That's nuts and then Ugly Kid Joe, the little kid
flipping you off. I remember I think the Walmart version
of that one. They wrapped his hand in a bandage
or something, so he was still standing in the same
way and still doing the same thing, but they wrapped
in a bandage so you couldn't see the middle finger,
which I thought was pretty clever.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Did you ever buy an album at Walmart?

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
No.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I was big on it. I was big on just
going to record store.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Give me too.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Yeah, they were cheaper at Walmart.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
They were cheaper.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I did buy video games at Walmart, but I don't
think I ever bought any albums at Walmart.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
I bought movies.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
It was big on tray to support the local record stores. Dude,
I'd go to Tower Records even Yeah, miss Tower Records.
It is seven twenty nine, DC's class scribe. It's a
big one hundred. It's tiny dance. You're out in John
and good morning to use Axel be going to join
it on the show coming up here in just a
few eight o'clock this morning. Plus we've got tickets to

(21:03):
give away for the home game against Carolina this Sunday.
And if you want to put your name in the
hat for some Brian Reagan tickets, we have a four
pack to give away. You can do that via the
iHeart app and just send us a talk pack. So
you pull up the iHeart app there, pull up Big
one hundred and then right here you see a little microphone.
Click on it. Leave us a message, leave your name,
say you want to put your name in the hat

(21:24):
for tickets and we'll draw for those at the end
of the show. It is DC's classic Crock, Big one hundred.
DC's classic Crock is Big one hundred. Dan, Good morning
to you. Has Zach Selby from Commanders dot Com going
to join us on the show coming up here and
just a bit you're listening to DOBIGFM Washington, d C.
I want to send thoughts and prayers and all our
love out to Big five to nine, Washington, Redskins, Great

(21:48):
London Fletcher. His wife lost her battle with cancer last Tuesday.
It's just terribly said, terribly said. Let's see, you know what,
I think we forgot to do something and somebody reminded
us today do we have that? So talkback?

Speaker 7 (22:05):
Hey, good morning guys, it's Tuesday morning here. I want
to wish my son a happy birthday. He's twenty three today,
still in bed. But I was wondering where the letter
was for the word of the week. I'm listening for
one hour. I haven't heard it.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
I know. Lug yourself to wait and do research later.

Speaker 7 (22:26):
All right, well thanks guys.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Well you can't do that. Yeah, I screwed up. This
is what happens when I only drink one cup of
coffee before I come into work. I was dragon a
little this morning. Yeah, I space giving you the letter.
You can, he said, do research later. You can, just
as a head's up. Always go back and pull up
the iHeart app and pull up that show the podcast
from that day. Go to the seven to twenty ish

(22:50):
mark in there except for today, and you'll find a
letter except for today, where you'll have to find it here.
The letter is as a big word of the week.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
I'm a big one.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Today's letter is let's just get a little fancy, the
letter A. The letter A is an. I'm an a
hole for forgetting to give it to you earlier. The
letter Alright, there you go. He didn't say his son's name.
I would have said happy birthday, Well, happy birthday to
your twenty three year old son. Who's doing But it
is DC's Classic rock Big one hundred, DC's Classic Crocky.

(23:23):
It is Big one hundred, there's really Joel in my life.
Jackson here, Good morning to you. Zach Selby from Commanders
dot Com joins us on the line, Zach, I'm not mad.
I'm not mad. I thought they played pretty well all
things considered.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Yeah, you know, there's been a lot of games in
previous years against teams at the Ravens caliber where I've
wanted to do horrible things and then yelle, right, throw up,
you know, do a lot of other terrible actions. But honestly,
I don't feel that bad, like you said about this
GAF if they competed really well. There's no moral victories,
of course, but you have to think, like, even with

(23:58):
the mistakes like they were right there, they had a
they could have been in a position to win and
they would blow blow against a Super Bowl contender. And
I think considering like if you just said six months ago,
the hey, they're probably gonna lose to the Ravens, but
at the same time, they're going they're gonna give them
a really good shot of winning at least be competitive

(24:19):
in that you'd say, hey, like that's that's that's a
lot better than I thought they were going to. Yeah,
So yeah, I think everything is still in front of
this team.

Speaker 8 (24:26):
They still got a lot of really good potential.

Speaker 6 (24:29):
Are the division is still on the line, still leading
the NFC East.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
That think that's impressive. And they've got.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
Another you know, quote unquote winnable game against the Panthers,
and they have to take care of business. But I
think you know, you don't feel disappointed necessarily about about
what happened on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
No, And I was pretty excited to see the Cowboys
get trounced at home on Jerry Jones' birthday.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Fantastic.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
They were all laughing. That's just it's a wonderful thing. Hey,
I got a question for you, man, because I want
to play something. Is there anybody more excited this season?
Is there anybody more excited than Bram Because dude, he's here.
Let's play one of his calls from the game, can't we? Yeah,
we found the step the jam right the brick. Fot

(25:15):
pumps throat for the.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
Clorn touch down touchdown, Watch again through.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Again, Shut babies, I guess quick free present. I'm better
at chucking ne Zakler.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Wow, a throw to the false.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Sideline in the end.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Zone as Daniels Fike for.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Clorn for the second love Bram even London was fired
up man like Jack BG.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I love.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
I love how excited Braham gets for those plays like
the one he had against the Bengals was probably my
favorite because he's just he's literally out of the booze
because bro.

Speaker 8 (25:59):
And like that throw that's thought we had.

Speaker 6 (26:01):
I guess the Ravens a fourth down Dadan Daniels like
that might have been even more impressive throws.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Oh my god, yes, I mean.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
There there that window was about an inch too big,
too small, and he just went through there and zipped
it in there to the number one wide receiver. And uh,
That's the thing I'm really excited about too, is that
Terry and Jaden, their relationship and their chemistry has gotten
so much better. I don't know some people were a
little bit concerned about that, but no, I think I mean,

(26:28):
Kerry right now is on pace for another thousand yard season.
He's on pace for uh double diedty touchdowns, which is
the first time that we had ever happened in his career,
So that that is also very impressive. And I think
that just shows you know, how encouraging the offense is.
It has been over the last few weeks.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Yeah it and you're not kidd about that past man.
And I was talking to Santana about that yesterday. I
was saying that the coverage, the Ravens coverage was like
glue man. They were and and and Jade and Daniels. Fine. Way,
if there is four inches where he can put that ball,
he puts it in that four inches. He's really really
just phenomenal, so accurate.

Speaker 8 (27:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
He he is the reason why you don't get too
upset about the loss, because you know that over the
next however games they have eleven or something like that,
like he's going as long as he's in the game,
you have a chance to win. And the players believe
that his teammates are all in and in there bought
in because of how uh impressed and how.

Speaker 8 (27:30):
How much of a hard worker he is.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Uh. And the thing is like he's yes, like the
hardwark is there, but like the results are showing up
on the field. Looks like he's he's been so consistent
over the last month or so, and you could say
maybe he wasn't completely perfect again against the Ravens, he
didn't have that that ball that was almost probably should
have been picked out a little bit of a I'm
that's the player. You're kicking yourself because you, like, I

(27:54):
think Noel Brown will player that no Browns is wide
open on that play. That's a third down you can burn.
You have a chance to uh to keep going down
the field.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
But he he that's like such a rare like aberration
from him. Everything else is on point. He zips it
in there, and he's just so fun to watch, even
when they're losing. He just knows how to create these exciting,
highlight reel plays and going against the Panthers, like, I
think there, I think he's gonna have another. He could
have another really great game because their defenses is not

(28:25):
really what you expect so far out of out of.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
A yeah, that uh, Noah Brown missed that. That definitely stung.
And then there was God when when in the game
was Ravens had third down and it was towards the
end of the game because there was a past interference
called which I'm still not convinced it was past interference uh,

(28:49):
and then gave the Ravens a first down and and
that past was not completed would not have been completed
regardless of the the p I call and there was
one point where just like, yeah, that's the turning point
right there, man, because if they could have turned the
ball over, there could have been a different game. But
you know, it's like every every game in the NFL,
when they're close like that, it really is just comes

(29:10):
down to a couple of plays, doesn't It Just interest.

Speaker 6 (29:13):
Well, and the problem with the Ravens Ragons often and honestly,
like the stats will look will not look great for
the for the Commanders defense against the Ravens, but I
think they did as good a job as you would hope,
especially in the first half. I mean, you hold you
hold the Ravens to seventeen points, uh in the first half,
Like that's you're giving your two year tier team a
chance to win.

Speaker 8 (29:34):
Now.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
Granted, Like the problem is that if you if you
stop Lamar Jackson, you've got Derek he You.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Stop Derek Henry, You've got Mark Andrews. You got stop
Mark Andrews.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
You have Zay Flowers who had just a monster of
the game on Sunday, And it just shows and it
kind of shows like we already knew some of the
problems that the defense had. I think it just exposed
them a little bit more, particularly a corner. Uh, they
just had they just had some roster deficiency that they're
they're not all able to they weren't able to all
address in the offseason, you know, where it's corner, whether

(30:03):
it's that can get the pass rusher. It just shows
that this this team is.

Speaker 8 (30:08):
Still there's still a lot of room to grow.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
But that's also encouraging too because they're playing well even
though they've still got a lot of room to grow.
And that just shows for the next like two, three,
four years are going to be so fun to watch
because I think they could really seriously make some noise
with like, you know, one or two roster editions here
and there the next couple of years or so.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Oh. Absolutely, absolutely, Hey, do you have an update on
Jonathan Allen here? This may be a season ending injury.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
Unfortunately, Yes, it is a season and the injury.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
The reports came out, you know that he had torn
a peck during the game and then Dan.

Speaker 8 (30:44):
Quick confirmed that.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
And that's really tough because you know, John Allen is
such a he's been such an emotional leader on the
team for so many years. Yeah, and then also he
had started to play kind of close to what you
would expect.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Out of a Pro Bowl.

Speaker 6 (30:57):
He had a sack and eat the previous two games.

Speaker 8 (31:00):
Uh that he had nine.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
Tackles against the Cardinals and the Brownson bind uh. And
you they I think he's just been so productive over
over his history and so losing him is gonna be
kind of tough. So, you know, they but they do
feel confident.

Speaker 8 (31:15):
In who they have.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
I mean, I don't think he was gonna rule out
making trade out.

Speaker 8 (31:20):
I don't see that necessarily happening though.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
I think they still come pretty confident with Dari Mathis,
who is coming along as a run stopper. I think
he's gonna play a big, pretty big role. Johnny Newton
wooll get more. I would Madge get more snaps, and
I think we're it's gonna be exciting to see him
get more snaps out of it because he's really quick.
He has the ability to do some inside pass rushing
UH skills there. So yeah, I think they've got some

(31:44):
young pieces that could potentially.

Speaker 8 (31:47):
Get some action.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
And it's never a one to one replacement for for
Jonathan Allen or a player of that caliber, but at
the very least you do get to see how some
of your younger pieces and performing see if they can
help you build for the teacher.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Right, Hey, man, have you gotten a peek at this
VR that Jayden is using? It's like all the buzz
around the league now, you know, I.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
Haven't, and I'm really I've been really curious about it. Yeah,
I mean, is it just like a regular oculus or
like is it? Is it like a full fled like
system work.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
That's what I want to know. I just know the
Commander's got one and apparently he used it at LSU
as well, and it gets him like all these additional
reps without taking the wear and tear on the body,
which is just you know, if that is the case,
within five years, every team in the NFL is going
to have it. Every team at college is going to
have it. But I was just kind of curious if
you had peaked at it and if you knew how

(32:40):
it worked, because I was one of them the same
things just goggles? Is it? You know?

Speaker 8 (32:44):
You know I would I think it's pretty accurate.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
I mean, I'm honestly surprised that they haven't done it sooner,
because you know, I like, the player of safety becomes
to a big.

Speaker 8 (32:53):
Deal now these days.

Speaker 6 (32:55):
Yeah, and you can if you can get these mental
reps without you know, berally go on the field and
potentially tearing something or injuring yourself and knocking yourself out
for a little for a little bit of town there
and being sidelined like, I would imagine that the teams
would be all about that, especially considering.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
Like how well Jayden has been doing so far.

Speaker 6 (33:15):
I think that also plays a pretty good role in
it too, is that it is clearly working. And if
the NFL if NFL, the parody in the NFL is
is second to none. So I would imagine that more
and more teams, especially with young quarterbacks, you know, as they.

Speaker 8 (33:32):
Get drafted and with the number one, number.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
Two overall picks, I would not be surprised if more
teams started to utilize that to get to speed up
that process because Jayden is it is clearly mild ahead.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Of where we all thought, even with the high Yeah,
and it's pretty cool. The way it was explained to
me is like basically Kingsbury can call in a play,
right and let's just say he's got the goggles on
if that's how he's doing it, and he can see,
you know, he's got the play and he can see
the defense and they can switch up the defense and
they can make him have to read it. And it's like, wow,
that is brilliant. And I don't know why they didn't. Well,

(34:06):
it was probably super expensive before and it's finally just
going down to earth where people can afford it. But
really really great idea. Hey, Zach, thank you so much
for taking the time as always, man, and we look
forward to talking to you next week and have a
feeling we'll be talking about a win. I don't want
to get ahead of myself, but I think we're gonna
do Okay.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
Yeah, I think so too Man.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
Hopefully, yes, we'll be talking about getting to five and too,
retiring to Erdon and Green Jersey, which.

Speaker 8 (34:28):
Is gonna be awesome. But yeah, you'll take.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Care awesome, see Zach, thanks so much, appreciate it. It
is DC's classic rock. It's big one hundred. It is
eight point fifteen and Zax Helby brought to you today
by Dashing. It's a big one hundred DC's classic rock.
It's a big one hundred Highway to hell little Ac
DC for you this morning, and good morning to you.
Big thanks to Zach Helby for coming on the show tomorrow,

(34:53):
we will chat with LeVar Arrington and get his take
on a game against the Ravens and what he's thinking
about the game against Carolina. By the way, we're giving
away tickets for that game coming up just before nine o'clock,
and we will also draw a random name out of
all the people that submitted talkbacks for the Brian Reagan Show.
We've got a four pack of tickets for that. I

(35:14):
have to do is pull up the guyheart out, pull
a big one hundred click on that little microphone, leave
us a message, Just give us your name and say hey,
I just want to put my name in the hat
for the tickets in you are in. We'll randomly drop
her from those coming up here just a few eight
twenty six. Time for Florida Man. Florida Man.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
This is from.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
Last season, but we're getting into the season. A Florida
man was arrested on a Monday. So this was last
year after he was accused of hitting his wife with
a Christmas tree when she asked for help with dinner.
He's taking it a step further. See a lot of

(35:56):
assaults with food in Florida. Burrito's Hot Steaks, eggs, it
might be the first time I've seen a Christmas tree.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Yeah, I don't recall a Christmas tree.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Richard Atchison fifty two years old, facing charges after officers
responded to a domestics dispute at his home. The argument
began when his wife asked him to help make dinner.
At some point during that dispute, his wife reportedly put
a spoon in the sink, and when she did so,
it accidentally splashed him. That caused him to lose his temper.

(36:30):
He proceeded to pack his things and went outside to
his vehicle. I mean, you get splashed with a spoon,
that's it.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
What else he gonna do?

Speaker 1 (36:37):
It's over. I'm leading done. Back at what things are going.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
There's no reconciliation there.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
However, he decided to go back inside because quote he
had been drinking, decided he wasn't gonna leave, told his
wife to leave instead. The wife obliged. As she began
to leave, he shoved her, picked up the Christmas tree
that was in the corner of the room and threw

(37:04):
it at her, and then blocked the door to prevent
her from leaving. That's when somebody finally called the cops.
He was booked into Lake County Jail without incident, held
on eight thousand dollars bond.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
But she splashed him.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Hit her with a Christmas tree. Dude picked up the
Christmas tree and threw it at his like that's a
healthy relationship right there. Yes, it is a twenty eight
DC's Class Crocket's Big one hundred DC's Class Crockets Big
one hundred. Jesse's girl. It's Rick Springfield. Oh yeah, good

(37:44):
morning to you boy. I tell you all right, well
little pissed off. My kid had one of his best
games ever yesterday and it was the one game I missed.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Father of the Year. I tell you, yeah, you can't
go to all of them, man, but you will attend
a lot, can't I do. I try to make every
single one, and yesterday had some. Is your wife not
streaming these games live for you on FaceTime?

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Here's the thing. You can stream all the games. Yeah,
but I've tried, and they put the camera up in
like the press box.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
You can't see that.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
You can't see anything. They look like ants and it
freezes and you can't. You can't hit in twenty twenty four.
I mean, come on, guys, let me make some phone
calls please, all right, thank you, but you had your
act together. High school, a couple of great rounds, a
couple of receptions.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Probably pay enough of payale and plug hold of that
high school that they should have nice equipment.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Had a dentist appointment yesterday.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah, how they go.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
One of the reasons it's great. Let me tell you
no cavities. No cavities good. Let me ask you guys
a question. When you go to the dentist and they
do the like cleaning, not the actual spinny thing either, game. Yeah,
but when they like clean the plaque, yes, do they
still use the tools and scrape it like they used to?

Speaker 3 (38:53):
They do?

Speaker 1 (38:54):
No, Man, you gotta get with the new school.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Well they have.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
They got this ultrasonic machine now, dude, because I hate
that part. Right, it's awful. It's awful.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
You can feel like grinding in your head.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Yeah, and they're digging in there with those picks and
they and pulling on it. It's terrible. It's the worst
part of it. Right, Yeah, you deal with it. I
go to this, uh okay, a little plug even though
there's nothing in it for me, Tyson's Dental, right, and
they have this and I'd never seen one before, and
I'm like, what is that thing? Almost like a water

(39:30):
pic Yeah, yeah, you know that you can buy for
your house. But it does have some sort of like
contraption on the end of it, so there is a
little scrape around the end of it, but you don't
feel it. And they go in there and they're just
blasting it with like ultra sonic water and that's.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
How they do people who are afraid of the dentists.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Yeah, yeah, they have that department. Yeah, that's why I
originally went there. Yeah, because I go Now they don't care. Yeah,
now they see me walk in, I'm all like, I
don't like Dennis, Like, shut up, sit down.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
You're not new here anymore. It It is getting a
lot better, though, because when we were young it was horrific,
and the orthodontist.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
It was horrifying, awesome experience. I suggest if you can
find a dentist that has this, I smell endorsements, I'm
telling you all endorse them. It was really like I
left going, Wow, that did not suck at all. Yeah, yeah,
because it usually does. It totally does, and you really
get it's the payback if you don't floss. That's the
whole thing, right, you don't fo the thing. You could
floss every day. And you know what they say when

(40:26):
you leave, you need to flow us more. I always
say that.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
I floss obsessively.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Though.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
When I I went to the dentist in twenty twenty
and it is the first time i'd been in like
ten years, oh boy, oh yeah, oh I had so
much work that.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Oh boy, I pulled that when ill, I'll never do.
I go every six months religiously now for the last
time to fifteen years.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
Then I floss every time I eat and I didn't
visil line after that too, Like I got my.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Teeth completely fixed. But yeah, I let him go.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
I pulled that craft in my early twenties and I
was like, you don't need a dentist, and I went.
God dude went almost ten years too, and I finally went,
and they were like, god boy, you know what when
he calls other people, it's like, oh, hey, yeah, come
in here, look at this hygenist. And she goes, yeah,
I can't do this. We're gonna have to have the

(41:15):
dentists do this.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
Now.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Let me ask you this.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
It's like, how often does everybody brush their teeth?

Speaker 3 (41:20):
And I'll answer. First, I'm morning and then evening.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
Before that twice a day morning, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
I usually do three. I usually do morning and then
after lunch.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
You do okay, after lunch. That's excessive.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Well that's what in Visilne did because I did that
for almost two years, and so it just it stuck
in my head and I'm just in that routine now
to always.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
I've also read about mouthwash because a lot of them,
not all, but have so much alcohol and they actually
pose and give you bad breath as opposed to ones
that don't have the alcohol.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Now, yeah, I was gonna say, Now, they make a
ton of them without the.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Alcoho and I get the ones without and you can
you notice a difference too.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
I had a friend that was in he was an alcoholic.
He was in AA and he had to buy the
non alcoholic mouthwashed. That's how far he took it. Is
that right? Yeah? I can't take anything without call like
he wouldn't take he wouldn't take cold medicines. If when youse.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Mouthwasher, I call all that stuff. How about that?

Speaker 1 (42:11):
So we were saying this morning, is there anybody more
more excited than brahm Dude calls the great game he does.
I just have London back and it's just fantastic. Going
to have a heart attack.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
Well, i'll tell you what. You know, Bram's been doing
play by play for a long time. And the other
thing that people, some of you might not know Brams
from this area. He's a patheesda kid, die hard and
he loved the Redskins and he loves the Commanders and
this was his dream to get this gig. And he
just loves life. And you know the other thing. And
I know you've met Bram several times. When you meet Bram,

(42:46):
he is an encyclopedia of statistics and data, which is extraordinary.
And by the way, he's not just quoting it like
a rain man. He actually knows his stuff.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
He does. You can ask him anything. It's really impressive.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
His his knowledge of both the old Redskins and the
new Commanders and anybody, any player, and it's really deep
dive stuff. So he does his homework. Was like calling
a great game. But I love his excitement. And now
that we're putting up every week the Bram Cam, Yeah,
people are loving it.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
Fantastic.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
We'll do that this week and we'll do it every
week with him in London, and I'm telling you what,
it is fun to watch it because usually you don't
get to see the radio guys with the bram cam.
When we posted on our socials, you get to see
him and you get to see the actual video of
the great call.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Him in London, and just like sometimes they just you
can see the excitement. It is really cool. He check
it out well on our Instagram. Yeah, we put it
up on all the social media channels that we'll do that.
You know, I know you were talking with.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
Zach a little bit earlier about Jonathan Allen. I think
that's a big loss. Now they are you know, you
have to move on, next man up kind of thing.
But you know, we've talked about some real big leaders
in this clubhouse and he's one of them. Yeah, so
they're gonna miss him on and off the field. One
last thing about because we didn't get a chance to
talk about the game in the Baltimore game yet. You know,
the one thing that I was chatting with you as
the game was happening is that they really missed be

(44:00):
terribly bad, terribly And it was a whole dynamic that
Kingsbury had to call a game without your starting running
back who usually can get you about one hundred yards
at least this season the way he's played. So when
you think of that changing the game plan and not
being able to establish the run, and by the way,
Eckler did fine, But remember Eckler is a third down guy,
and he's a great blocker and got his specialties out

(44:22):
of the flat and then throw him out as a
wide receiver does so much and he always is great
of getting you twelve fifteen yards too. That's and he
still has a lot left on the tab. Is that
like Powerhouse? Well, he is downhill angry, yes, but once
again establishing the run, setting up the play action pass.
And the other thing that I noticed, and I'm sure
you know they have their game plan for what Baltimore

(44:43):
was doing, but you and I were talking about it earlier,
there were too many short passes out of the flat,
and I don't think that they were getting Jayden Daniels
outside of the pocket so he could either see what
was out there or use his legs a little bit
more because he didn't run for it like now, they
might have spied him a little bit more too. Yeah,
I think that you were just going to have a
very very difficult time running against that pass rush against that,

(45:03):
I would say so, but we're not going to know
because we didn't have b Rob. And I think that
changed the whole dynamics. And you know, I don't think
that score was indicative. I think Baltimore was always in
control of that game. We were playing catch up. But
they really miss b Rob. And that's how much he
means to the team this year because, as you say,
you know, bowl running, establishing the run, big man hard
to bring down. I think he's one of the leading

(45:24):
running backs in the NFL that's run after he's hit.
Man's a beast and he's healthy and he's playing good run.
But I always back. I hope he's back for the knee.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
I hope. So yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
So I was disappointed to hear about Jonathan Allen because
you know, we've met him. We like a likable guy too,
great leader and a great player. So it's just next
man up. But I think they're going to make a trade.
And here's why, because this team is capable's position of
winning the NFC East, all right. And with that said,
it's not indicative about who's up next or how much

(45:57):
depth they had. They just need a couple more players
to get them over. So I can see them getting
a defensive lineman, and I can also see them getting
a cornerback too, because they could really use a corner
because we got burned a couple of times. And you know,
there's a couple of interesting first round draft choices from
the last couple of years that did not play in
this last game, including Emmanuel Forbes and also Davis and

(46:17):
I Forbes was a healthy scratch. Yeah, that's what I'm
talking about. These guys are healthy scratches right now. So
I don't know what's going on there behind the scenes,
but you know, we saw that Forbes was not cutting
it as.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
A rookie and then explain that to me that that
kid in college was a rock star. Well, he broke
records and he was. I don't know if it's maybe
he needs to put on some more weight. I don't
know what it is. I'm you're right, he's real thin,
and we notice that.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
I don't think that's indicative of his play Listen, there's
so many more people that know so much more football
about us. I don't know if this is the right
scheme for him.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Maybe.

Speaker 3 (46:53):
I don't know if he just can't cut it with
the speed in the NFL. But he really looked out
of place last year. And I told you when I
saw him in campus year, he looked lost. So maybe
he did won't cut into the NFL. I hope he does.
I mean, it's first round draft choice, so they're going
to train it as much as they can out of him.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Very well. Could just find a different team in a
different scheme.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
And you're right, But right now, she's a healthy scratch.
And that's just concerning as a first round draft choice,
which you hate. But a lot of Ron's picks over
the last couple of years are either gone or they're
not playing right now.

Speaker 1 (47:20):
We're not talking about Ron six yeah anymore that it
is the past. You're right in the past, they're on
the roster. When you come over to uh Snyder's house,
which I'm still squatting in. Yeah, we'll talk about it there.

Speaker 3 (47:33):
That's fine.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Not here.

Speaker 3 (47:34):
You just get your uber eats in and uh, you know,
it's like to have a mansion to yourself. I don't.
But with you living in a gated community, which we
know you do. Uh, it's it's it's special, I do, man. Yeah,
And you should don't hate. Hey, we've got baseball tonight.
We've got Guardians and Yankees at seven thirty, and uh,
I think the Yankee is going to take it all. Man,

(47:56):
I think so too. And how about the Mets beating
the Dodgers last night? That series the title on one
and right now the Yankees are leading that series in
the Alcs and the Guardians one nothing. But I like
it that the Guardians in there there. It's a team
that usually not in there. But I think it's gonna
be Yankees Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Did you see in closing, I don't know if you
saw it, Caitlyn Clark played in some golf tournament. Yeah,
she's got a hole in one she almost got and
I I just I watched it this morning.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
I was like, I hate you, Yeah, I just I
hate them. Great athletes are good at everything. They're good
at everything. They're like and I know she hadn't golf before. No, yes,
so pisces me off.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
I can stand out there and take a hundred shots
and just from the hole in a part three Haitlyn
Clark walks up there right and you're like, okay, well,
you know she's gonna be good at it. Because yeah,
they're yeah, they're good at everything. She lands like six
inches from a whole incredible.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
Also, caps hockey tonight, they're hosting the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
They dropped the puck at seven o'clock at Capitol once
a night.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
If you want to go see hockey tonight, fantastic, Thank
