Springsteen thing? I have you a fan of the Boss? I?
Am you like the Boss?

Speaker 4 (00:54):
I do?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Is he synonymous with New Jersey more so than John
von Jovi?

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
You know Springsteen never had a number one hit. We
learned that the other day.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I asked.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Because Big one hundred Nightheart Radio are celebrating the Friday

Speaker 1 (02:11):
We don't know, and they will have another update for
us on Friday post practice, so we'll keep you up
to speed. It is DC's Classic Rock, Big one hundred,
DC's Classic Rocket. It's Big one hundred. Good morning, six
twenty seven. Mike Florio coming up on the show at
about seven o'clock this morning. We had his take on
the Commanders Carolina game. A couple questions for him just

(02:34):
bouncing around the league. Hopkins to Kansas City, like they
need to get any better Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh, your
bench of four and two fields to start Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
They can't say what they want to do there. And
of course the.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I don't know what's going on with the Jets and
Aaron Rodgers and they brought Davante Adam's in and that
was supposed to a lot of fire under everybody's ass
and they just looked horrible. Again, Aaron Rodgers looks like
he's I don't know, gives in his mind?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, I don't know what's going on there.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Did you see him in his bookers the other night?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh god, no?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Did he He denies it. He's like, no, I wasn't
doing that.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
That's funny that if you ever had a kid call
you old for something. I saw this on social media
and I just thought it was hilarious. There were just
a handful of them that just maybe laugh out loud.
When I was my kid was probably five or six,
and I was reading them a book one night and
he was asking about when I was a kid.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
He said, he.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Said, Dad, did you when you were a kid and
you were in school, did you did you guys used
to write with feathers.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
He was totally serious, like, no, we didn't write with feathers.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Now.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Uh, this is people talking about the reasons they were
called old by a kid. Kid called someone old because
they still use CDs in their car. Yeah, well you
know some people still drive old cars that have CD players,
you know, and if it's there, and if it's there,
why not. Woman got called old, called old because she

(04:20):
had stamps. Again, no, I still have stamps. I know
two or three things that I still mail, and I go,
why am I doing this?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
And I don't. I don't know. It's just habit.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
We've had that conversation before about your stamps.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
A kid called a guy old because he said he
used to play outside. Yeah, yeah, we used to play outside, kids,
we did.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Someone from the hose.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, someone was called old because they left a voicemail
and their kids said, only old people leave voicemails. A
woman got called old because she still has a hotmail address. Well,
yeah that's valid, yep, hotmail or AOL.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I can always tell when somebody when they start giving
their information with Well, it's all lowercase letters.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Yeah, it's either going to be hotmail or AOL. It's
always one of the other.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah Kid called someone old because he talked about using
YouTube before it had ads, And I love this one.
A guy's co worker told him he was old after
he tossed something in the trash can from a few
feet away and yelled Kobe. Everybody used to do that.

(05:41):
Yelling Kobe now just kind of makes you sound really old.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
I've forgotten that that was ever a thing.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
So, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
All right, it is six thirty things I know coming
up just around the corner of DC's Classic Rockets Big
one hundred, DC's.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Classic Rockets, Big one hundred.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
There's Queen. It is that time of year. 'tis the
season when you get bombed with the political text my phone?
Every day I pick it up, there's fifty new ones.
I cannot unsubscribe past enough. I have typed the word
stop four hundred and seventeen times. It was absolutely insane.
I cannot wait till this is over. I cannot wait.

(06:18):
And I saw the thing on the news last night
and it felt really bad for these elderly people that
are getting these texts. And they focused on this one
guy that had basically given his life savings like donated
like you know, like in his eighties, he had like
eighty grand in the bank.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
It's all gone, gave it all for a campaign.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
For a campaign, and he didn't realize he was signing
up for recurring donations, which, by the way, I don't
know if you've seen those, and both parties do it
where it's like you make a one hundred dollars donation
or you know something, and then read the fine print
at the bottom and says we're going to take this
out every week. These old people, they don't know any better.

(06:59):
This guy, I'm glad they highlighted him, but it makes
you think about how many people has this happened to.
Because he'll most likely get his money back. They contacted
the campaign and they said, we have a ninety day
refund thing or whatever. He'll get his money back because
his kid, you know, came in too, to the rescue

(07:20):
for his dad, because he said, my dad really thought
in his you know, late eighties, that these texts were
really from you know whoever. You know how it'll say
like I'm hi, I'm Kabyla Harris, or hi I'm Ted Cruz.
Or Hi, I'm you know, Trump Junior, and he goes

(07:41):
he really thought he was getting personal texts from these
people asking for.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Money, and I was just like, this is sad man,
This what a fed up system.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Well, the recurring stuff is a problem because I've I've
almost donated, Like there have been causes that that I'm
in support of that have been taking collections and on
the street, and a couple of times I've started to donate,
but then it's like they throw in it'll it'll recur
as a yeah, no.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Not getting nothing.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
So six forty seven, it's time for things I know.
Posthumous marriage is also known as necrogomy or ghost marriage,
is a marriage where at least one of the people
is dead. It is very rare, but it is technically
legal in a few countries France, China, certain parts of India,

(08:33):
Japan and Africa.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
How do you consummate that?

Speaker 2 (08:36):
I don't want to know?

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Is that part lead?

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I probably not. No.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
During the auditions for Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Keanu
Reeves originally auditioned to play Bill, and Alex Winner auditioned
to play Ted. That would have been just wrong. Their
parts were switched after casting The country of Monte Negro
is not part of the European Union, but they do
use the Euro because they don't have their own currency.

(09:09):
Where is that? And I'm curious, Yeah, pull that up.
I want to where's Montenegro. Keith Fledger was a chess
prodigy as a kid. He won the Western Australia Junior
Chess Championship when he was only ten years old.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Interesting little tidbit.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Montenegro is next to Kosovo?

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Is it really right next to it? How big is it?
Is it tiny? Yeah, it's not very big.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I guess it's like a little bigger than Kosovo, a
little smaller than Sarajevo, which is on the other side.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
And finally, the first time a human was killed by
a robot happened in nineteen seventy nine. That's not what
you think. It was an employee at a Ford Motor
plant in Michigan. He got hit in the head by
a robot arm on the production line. I don't mean
to laugh. The poor guy's dead team seventy nine. No,
it's not too soon. Yeah, I got conked in the head.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
That is not what I envisioned in my mind's eye
when you said that he got killed by.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
When you see someone's killed by Rob well, fear not.
It's it's almost twenty twenty five with AI.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
And give it time. Give it time. That was a letdown.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
It'll be more what you're thinking soon six DC's Classic
Rock and coming up here in just a few minutes,
we'll we'll chout with Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
It's Big one hundred.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Wb I g FM Washington and iHeartRadio Station live from
the Nation's Capital. This is Big Rock Mornings with Jackson
on Big one hundred DC's Classic Rock.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
And good morning to you Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk.
Coming up just minutes from now. We will chat about
to the commanders, take a look around the league, and
then and then later this morning, we have tickets to
give away for this weekend's game against Spars. If we do,
fingers crossed that Jayden's going to make a comeback, we'll

(11:06):
see it. Is DC's Classic Rock, Big one hundred, DC's
Classic Rocket is Big one hundred. Time once again to
chat with our buddy Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk.
It's powered today by Gramophone Gaythersburg. Build your football game
day experience at home with gramophone, Gaythersburg, see it, hear it,

(11:28):
live it.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Mike, how you doing this morning?

Speaker 8 (11:30):
Doing great?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Doing great?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
How are you pretty good?

Speaker 8 (11:32):
Man?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
So talk to me about the Commanders here. I ask, Now,
because we are, what seven games into the season, there's
been enough time for you know, other teams to get
a lot of tape on the team, on Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
How do you think they're performing.

Speaker 8 (11:49):
I think they're performing well. I'm just concerned about how
long Jaden Daniels is going to be out with this revenger.
Anytime I hear week to week, I think that the
player is going to miss it at least one game,
maybe more than that. When the injury happened, it was
a weird cocktail of information. His mom tweeps that he's fine,

(12:12):
and dan Quinn says that we need testing. And I
asked somebody in a position to know the level of
concern one to ten, what is it? And I was
told three or four.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
So I don't know if they're gonna have the guy
that we loosely refer to as doctor Needle show up
and try to numb that area so he can go
out and perform on Sunday and it's a sensitive area.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
One time, Tyrod Taylor when he was with the Chargers,
had a punctured lung when he tried to get a
pain killing injection for a rib cage injury, and that
opened the door for Justin Herbert's career as the starter
with the Chargers. So I'm just concerned about that because
even though Marcus Mariota came in and ran the offense, well,
it was the Panthers, and the Panthers aren't the opponent

(12:58):
every week. The Bear coming to town this weekend, and
I just I worry about that. I'm very happy with
where the commanders are, but at this point Jayden Daniels
needs to get back sooner than later.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, And I tell you dan Quinn, the latest update
was that he did not Jayden did not practice yesterday,
but then Quinn said he was hopeful he could play
against the Bears Sunday, but said they were going to
do everything in their power to make sure they do
it right.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
So who knows.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
We're supposed to get another update on Friday, I think
is the word.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
Yeah, And dan Quinn has not been the most reliable
source of assessment because one way, Brian Robinson's the game
time decision, and the next day, Oh, he's good to go.
He's definitely good to go. And then he's a game
time decision and oh he's definitely out. So yeah, well see,
And there is some gamesmanship that goes into it. You
want to force the Bears to waste time preparing for

(13:51):
both quarterbacks, but they.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Need him back.

Speaker 8 (13:54):
They need him back. It's going to be harder to
beat a good team, and a good team is coming
to town this week Akend without Jayden Daniels. But I
think that he's good enough to overcome the reality that
there's film out there that lets teams break down and
look for tells and figure out what to try to
take away and what to force him to do. I

(14:15):
think he's good enough that he can do whatever whatever
the defense gives him the opportunity to do.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
And whether it's Jaden Hopefully or Mariota, how do they
match up against the Bears?

Speaker 8 (14:29):
Well, you know, I think the reality is, and we
talk about the film for the Commander's offense, they better
do everything they can to break down the film and
the Bears offense because the Bears have gotten better and
better and the running game's gotten better. Bats game's gotten
better and see the offensive line plays improved. The offense
was just not good the first couple of weeks, and

(14:50):
they still somehow won a game. Of course, one of
the reasons they want a game is because they played
the Titans, and the Titans basically handed it to them.
But you know, the Bears offense was very our defense
was very good last year. It's been good enough this year,
and the offense has gotten better and Caleb Williams has
gotten better, and they've had two weeks to get ready
for this one. That's what's concerning This is a good

(15:13):
opponent with an improving team that's had two weeks to
heal from any bumps and bruises and really study and
prepare for what's a big game. They had an opportunity
week two on Sunday Night Football against the Texans, and
it was kind.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Of flat and blow.

Speaker 8 (15:31):
This is a game that was moved to late afternoon CBS,
big tent, a lot of people watching, and you know,
it's got that old school feel to it. Late October.
It'll be dark by the time the game's over. The
lights will be on. It's just, you know, it's the
next best thing to a primetime game, right right, So.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
If we had a few hours north here, DeVante Adams
shows up at the Jets facility and we think that's
going to be the fire they need lit under their ass.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
But what is going on up there?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Man? Rogers just does not look like Rogers. It could
be he's just getting old.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (16:12):
Yeah, dysfunctional teams do dysfunctional things, and the dysfunction starts
at the very top. And I thought it was strange
to hear Devonte Adams yesterday talk about a fiery postgame
speech he gave on Sunday night because the team was flat,
and you know, he wants to help change the culture,

(16:33):
and you gotta wonder if he's asking himself, what's my
good buddy Aaron been doing here? He's been here for
a year in change, and why hasn't he tried to,
you know, get these guys to be a little more
energetic in a losing effort and to do more to
change the outcome. And it's just an odd situation. The

(16:57):
talent is there, the execution isn't. And I still think
that when you fire coach five weeks into the season
and you do it six days before your next game.
You really throw a wrench into everything. You force people
into uncomfortable positions. Guys have to learn things on the fly.

(17:18):
There's upheaval, there's turmoil, and then you bring in Devontae Adams.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
The next week.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
It's too much to get yourself ready to go out
and play a good opponent. And you know, whether it
was the Monday night game against the Bills Sunday night
game against the Steelers. That's the other thing that just
shows how stupid the decision was. You do it with
two primetime, everybody's watching, the results are magnified and enhanced,

(17:45):
and the perception of your team's going to be even
harder to overcome at that point. And now they're walking
into I'm not going to say a buzz saw, but
a pissed off Patriots team whose coach called them soft.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
They're going to get.

Speaker 8 (17:57):
The best the Patriots are ever going to muster. I
don't know that it's good enough, but they're going to
get the best the Patriots are going to be able
to put on the field, and they're going to have
to get their act together quickly because at two and
six they're not officially done, but it's pretty darn close.
To being done.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, yeah, so well on the topic, well, I don't
know if i'd call it dysfunction, I'd call it more indecisive.
In Pittsburgh, Russell Wilson comes out. There's a bit of
a slow start, but he seemed to get warm pretty quick.
What's going on in Pittsburgh?

Speaker 8 (18:34):
Man?

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Is it going to be Fields? Is it going to
be Rustled? Do they even know?

Speaker 8 (18:39):
I think that it's a very simple proposition for Mike Tomlin,
who hasn't won a playoff game since the Divisional round
of the twenty sixteen season in Kansas City. It was
actually the last game for the Chiefs before they decided
that Alex Smith was only going to take them so far.
And that's fitting because I think Tomlin has decided that

(19:01):
Justin Fields would only take them so far. And the
goal is as it is for every team, at least
they say it is. I don't know how many of
them actually believe it, because if you judge success based
on winning a Super Bowl, you're going to be upset
pretty much every year. But I think Tomin wants to
win a Super Bowl, and he thinks Russell Wilson, who

(19:21):
has won one and one to another one is a
guy with a higher ceiling who can help them do it.
That's why the guy who's Bourgn two got sent to
the bench. I think it's that simple. And you know
they have a prime time game Monday night against the
Giants that they should win at home. They get their
bye week, and then that's when murderers Row comes. They

(19:42):
got the Commanders, which wasn't supposed to be a difficult
game going into the season. Nowadays, Chiefs Eagles every team
in the AFC North twice down the stretch. It's going
to be a slog for them, and I think that
Toma believes Russell Wilson is the guy best equipped to
navigate that. And then the playoffs, win games, go one
and out, but win games in.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
The postseason, right right?

Speaker 1 (20:03):
How about the Chiefs Did they just get even frigging
better with the addition to Hopkins.

Speaker 8 (20:11):
You know, they resisted as long as they could giving
up draft picks to go out and get a receiver.
They prefer instead to just find whoever's out there that
had some connection to the team. Running back gets hurt.
They bring back Kareem Hunt years after they dumped him.

(20:31):
Juju Smith Schuster back after being cut by the Patriots,
and now the Smith Schuster got injured. That's when they
decide to give up draft capital to bring in Hopkins.
And I think it makes sense. I think he's a
guy who, you know, you try to force the opposing
defense to cover every blade of grass, and you've got
a deep threaten Xavier Worthy. I think they hope some
of these other guys, Mikole Hartman, Scott Moore could step

(20:53):
up and help stretch a defense, and then underneath it
was Travis Kelce and Juju. Now Travis Kelce and Dedre Hopkins,
and Hopkins can still run fast enough because he never
was a guy that was gonna take off and run
by you. He's just a guy who's always open. He's
a Chris Carter type of guy where you just throw
it to him and he's gonna go catch it.

Speaker 9 (21:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:14):
Yeah, SE's have gotten better. There's somehow six and oh
they haven't been dominant. You look at Patrick Mahomes's numbers,
It's like, what's wrong with Patrick Mahomes? There's how are
they six and oh? His numbers cry out two and four? Right,
So you look at the numbers against the forty nine ers,
the stat line no touchdowns, two interceptions, forty four point
four passer rating, and they won by ten. They've become

(21:36):
a defensive team, so anything they do to approve the
offense is a plus.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, fantastic, Mike Florio.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Ladies and gentlemen, Thank you, sir, appreciate you taking the time,
and we look forward to UH recap of the Bears
game next week.

Speaker 8 (21:50):
Thank out.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
All right, buddy, have a good one.

with Dennis and we have one last pair of tickets

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Well, actually second to last pair.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
We've got a pair of to give away this morning,
and then we have a pair to give away tomorrow morning,
and that's for the Bears game this weekend. I'm seeing
this thing on the Aaron Rodgers booger eating now yep?
Was he accused of picking his nose or eating his boots?

Speaker 4 (23:05):
Accused of eating it? Oh my god, it's I sent
you a video of him doing it.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Let me see if I can pull that up. I
was just reading about it and he was. It was
apparently on the sidelines.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Yeah, game yesterday he was denying I wasn't eat my boogers.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Kind of were seen it.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Uh let me, Oh shoot, you weren't kidding, right, Aaron Rodgers,
he's eating his boogers.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yep, wait, hold on, here it is. We'll have to
post this one. Yeah yeah, yeah, oh yeah, yeah, he
ate one. That's nasty. That's his nasty.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Let's give him a letter for the well. The big
Word of the Week trans Siberian.

up the word and that's going to be your chance
to win Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets. And I'll tell you what.
We have another little something something to give away here.
It's not a little, it's it's a lot. It's pretty awesome.

restaurant and sports bar and home of the Commanders and Capitals.
And if you want a hundred bucks on a gift card,
here's how we're going to do it.

All right, Tomorrow on the show, Adam Peters general manager,
you're Washington Commanders. He's going to be on at about
eight thirty and as always, Well, check in with Tim
Murray from Big Wager. See, I actually did last weekend
not bad, not great, but not bad.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
That's better than the week before.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yes, taking Tim's advice. He does know his stuff, he does,
and he'll he'll give us a scoop tomorrow morning.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
Right.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Yeah, he was wrong on that. Well, I went against
him on that. I went against him on that. I
went against him big on that. That's why I ended
the weekend in pretty good shape because I just didn't
believe him.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
I'm that one.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I'm sorry, Tim, You're wrong on that. You're just wrong.
Nobody's going to be Kansas City, not now, not now.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
It is DC's Classic Rock. It's Big one.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
Hundred WBIGFM, Washington and iHeartRadio station, live from the nation's Capital.

hundred wanted ten or alive spoon Jovi Jackson here, good morning.
So I just read the story about a woman in California.
She posted a video that's gone viral. A bakery left

(27:23):
her a voicemail. Okay, here's what happened. She wanted a
gender reveal cake. Okay, so she gave them a sealed
envelope from her doctor that had the sex of the child. Okay,
she does not know, and she said, make it raspberry
or strawberry for a girl, make it BlackBerry or blueberry

(27:45):
for a boy.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Okay, give him the sealed envelope. That's it. They they
left her a voicemail. It called and said they were.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Sorry, they needed to speak because they were out of
BlackBerry filling.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
So she posts the video of her playing the voicemail
and her response to it, you just ruined her gender reveal.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
The bakery did feel bad gave her a full refund,
but just to add insult to injury, it turns out
they actually did.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Have BlackBerry filling. The person that called was mistaken they
had it.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
So when people do those gender reveal parties. Did they
not know?

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Like, did the parents not know the gender at that time?
Because I always thought that they did.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
I think it depends. I mean some people, it's a
total surprise. This woman's face when she's listening to the
voicemails hilarious.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
I have the voicemail.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Oh yeah, it's.

Speaker 9 (28:40):
Right, al, Please give me a call regarding your order.
Ordered a single lemon with BlackBerry and we don't have
BlackBerry filling. The only thing that actually makes the lemon
single a boy lemon curve. And you want a gender reveal,
so we need to talk about the cake.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
Well, she even addresses the fact that it's a gender reveal.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
God.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Wow, I guess the you know, the person the bakery
probably thought that she already knew and that it was
maybe just for a gender reveal party for others, But no,
she wanted it to be a surprise.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Well see, that's what she that's what she gets being complicated.
You know what, Nobody wants to go to your gender
reveal party. Let's just be honest with it. Wow, nobody
wants to go to Did you know the sex of
your children?

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Did I?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah? I ahead of time?

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Yeah I did too, But the wife did not really
uh huh. She didn't want to know, and I.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Did she she didn't want to know.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
She didn't want to know.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
You can't and you were able to hang on to it.
How how did you do that?

Speaker 2 (29:34):
It was not easy. It was not easy.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
I just mostly mostly kept my mouth shut for months.
She's actually a really good thing keeping my mouth shut
for months on end.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Well, I would think that you would want to start
decorating with stuff, and you just had to like keep eye.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
I couldn't do anything, like you couldn't do anything. But
I knew. I knew it was a boy. She did not.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
And it was really interesting the way the you know,
they do the the what do they call them the ultrasound. Yeah,
so they're doing the ultrasound and the lady says, do
you want to know?

Speaker 8 (30:13):
Yea?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
And I said, well I do, but she doesn't, and
she's like, okay, not a problem, and so she made
her turn away and then she typed it on the screen.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
But here's the cool thing about it.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
You know, it's like, well, boy is three letters, girl
is four letters. She's going to hear the keystrokes right, one, two, three, four?

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Right? No, So the lady obviously had done this before.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
She was pretty smart, so she typed boy and then
just kept hit the spacebar like six times, so it
just sounded like a bunch of keystrokes, and I was like,
all right, cool, thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
That was it. Yeah, somehow, I don't know how I
did do that.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Every part of that's fascinating that.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Well, And I'm you, I am not good with stuff
like that.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
I know.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I don't know why I was able to pull it off,
but I did.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
I don't know if I could have held that like
kept that. Yeah, it's hard to screw it up at
some point accidentally.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Right, you're exactly You're accidentally gonna let it took. I
had to be constantly aware, right, constantly aware. I used
to say it a lot. It I still do that
when it comes. It's nine now, might might it just

(31:26):
turned fifteen. I don't know when it will finally get
out of the house, but a few more years. No,
all right, let's take care of some business here. It's
eight fourteen DC's Classic Rock, Big one hundred, DC's Classic Crock.
It is Big one hundred. Good morning to you. I

(31:50):
get excited about the stupidest things. Stupidest things I said,
I have a had a private lesson to listen. I've've
been teaching this teenager for like weeks on the end, right,
but it's every Saturday, and yeah, after a while, it's like.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
It's just like a day off, just one day day off,
just one day off. I got a text you had
to cancel this weekend.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Yeah, that's not a little thing. That's a that's a
good thing. That is something to look well.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yeah, you just you know, just one day off, a
day of nothing, A day of nothing would be a
fantastic that's my dream.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Yeah. When was the last time you had a day
or nothing? Though't be honest, It's been a while, hasn't it.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, let's do some Florida man, shall we?

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Florida man?

Speaker 1 (32:44):
All right, Well, we got a Florida man who decided
to go fishing in a bass Pro shop.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
I mean, why not.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
He was caught on camera walking through a vass Pro
Shop location while holding a large fish in a net.
Lee's County Sheriff's Office said they're looking for a male
suspect who was accused of.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Grabbing a fishing net from the shelf.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
At the hunting and Fishing store in Fort Myers, Florida,
and he used it to catch a live tarpain from
the store's fish pond. Now they have the indoor ponds
with big fish in them. He snatched one. That's dinner.
You know, I don't dislike this guy at all.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
No, I'm like, why not?

Speaker 1 (33:28):
The man fled the store in an unknown direction with
a fifty pound tarpin. Please share the video of the
unusual saft on a Facebook post asking for the public's
health of public's help, rather, he says, this is not
your normal retail theft.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
This is admirable.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
As the post says, we guess we could say this
one will owe officially catch your eye.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
The police department being funny.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Yeah, I'm looking at pictures and he's got a fifty
pound fish and you're walking through the store. He's got
it in a net, and uh, it's fantastic, says he
just he just he just stuck the net in the
small pond indoors, caught the fish and walked through the
store with it and left the Stellne caught the guy.

(34:28):
But they're looking at get stitchy.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
You know it's the deal.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Let's just let that one slide.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
You gotta you've got comedic value out of it on
your Facebook page. There a police department officially. I don't
what is what can you eat tarpin? Is that what
they're called. I don't know enough about tarpin, and I
don't know how.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Clean the tarpin, Well you're display in the bass pro
shop would be?

Speaker 1 (34:57):
You kind of wonder, Uh that is a big fish?

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Like yeah, why why?

Speaker 1 (35:06):
That's my question? Why tarpin is edible? But it's not
commonly eaten because it has a lot of small bones
and a very strong smell, and a lot of people
say it does not taste very good. And I wonder
what he wanted it. Maybe he did want it for
a mount. Maybe we just took it just for the
thrill to the taxidermisty.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Just every I love everything about that.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Well that's crazy, all right?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Coming up before nine o'clock, we're gonna give you a
chance to win tickets for the home game at Northwest
Stadium against the Bears this weekend. Jade and Daniel still
week to week. They say, did not practice yesterday. Dan
Quinn says we'll have another update Friday. They are hopeful,
but when you hear week to week, and we'll see
we'll see eight twenty eight DC's Classic Rockets Big one hundred.

(35:53):
I don't know about that. I think he did DC's
Classic Rocket's a Big one hundred. We have a little
debate off air.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Yeah, well debate I'll get I'll get some more facts
for you.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Yeah, check into that.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
I'm pretty sure about it though. Really, yeah, I'm convinced
I was there last year. Okay, we're trying to determine
if someone we know who is a fan of another
team when he comes to the games, does he wear
his team's colors at north at Northwest Stadium.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
Or or and or cheer for the team. But I
think both the answers are no. I don't do not
think you're allowed in our iHeart suite to do that.
It's all Commanders, all the time. So if you come
with us to the Pittsburgh game, like you say, my brother.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Is a huge Pittsburgh fan fan he's coming out for
the will.

Speaker 5 (36:39):
Get a directive there'll be no extra ordinary thing outside
of the Commanders and no cheering for any other teams.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
He's gonna he's going to be coming in with his
terrible towel and his Steelers jersey and everything else.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
I look forward to everybody exity because I'm being there.
I'm there with my wife. I look forward to security
walking all of you out.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
I have no problem with you.

Speaker 5 (36:59):
Yes, given with a hot dog in your mouth, seeing
Jackson in the morning, Buddy Grief. By the way, your
first game was that Thursday night Bears game, that debacle
when we last forty twenty last year. It was well,
the first play was a bomb for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
TiO more and god it was.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
And then your next day was on the air.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
It was your first day, that's right. Yeah, and it
was on a train Wreck of the show. Do you
remember that crap?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
They were like, hey, you should come out to the
Bears game tonight. I'm like, yeah, but I gotta get out.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
I work.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I gotta get up at three in the morning. That's okay.
I came in on like two hours sleep.

Speaker 5 (37:35):
You stayed till half time, didn't.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
You, Yeah, about half time, about halftime. That was also
the night that but died. That's right way. Yeah, they
use that against us too. Yeah, well, thanks, Dick. I
don't think I didn't think that. When they flashed screens,
I was like, well, we're done. They're gonna be inspired. Yeah,
they're gonna play, They're gonna win one for Bukas. Yeah,
and they did, they they did. We're a different team

(37:57):
this year.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
We sure are, even though we I not have our
starting quarterback this weekend.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.
I'm not trying to be negative, trying to be real
with you. I think you need I don't need that.
I don't think that Jayden Daniels will play this weekend.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
He did not practice yesterday. I don't like your negativity.
All right, what do you think he's probably.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Not gonna play?

Speaker 2 (38:17):
All right, mister negative?

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Well, Quinn Quinn's not the most reliable source. Like Florio
said this morning, he'll mislead you a bit. Quinn say
he didn't practice, wasn't gonna practice Wednesday, that's Friday, but
that he was still hopeful he might be able to
play this weekend, and he would give an update Friday morning.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Yeah, so we'll find out to much.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
All I know is it's about reps, and and right
now he's not getting any reps. So I guess the
next update we'll get is tomorrow on Friday.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
How do you think Mariota fairs against the Bears.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
Well, first of all, a lot better because he'll field
all the number one reps. That's that's the first thing.
Yes he will and number two. The guy's been playing
in the NFL for a long time. And you and
I agreed after he got the rust off, Oh yeah,
he was just fine. Yeah, he was out there playing
with the team. Marcus, a little advice from the whole
show here, don't start running around like a nut. All right,

(39:06):
there's only a few quarterbacks left. It's Marcus can run now.
I just be careful, Yeah, be careful, man.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
You're you're an old man.

Speaker 5 (39:15):
Take it easy. Just get the job done. We can
beat Chicago with you. Just don't run around like a kook.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Marcus has, you know, a few years under his belt.
He's old or not, he's fine as quick as he
used to be. But remember he's a Heisman Trophy winner.
He came out of Oregon with a very similar place style.

Speaker 5 (39:30):
To Jam Trophy winner Jackson. I'll give you exhibit A.
It was the fourth quarter, the game was out of reach,
and he was running for his life out of the
pocket when he should have just fallen down and he
got clobbered.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
He remember that play. He's a competitor. I know he is.
He's a competitor.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
I get it, but I I I listen. They're trying
to be extra careful with Jaydon Daniels, and rightly so,
rightly so, so listen, this game is not to be
on him, by the way, I think we can beat
the Bears with more aota. Everybody's gonna have to step
up and play a little bit better, including the defense
is gonna have to have the game of their lives. Well,
let's remember Caleb Williams only last couple of games as

(40:09):
as fared well before and then he has been very,
very average, just like a lot of other rookie quarterbacks.
So it doesn't mean he's gonna have some incredible game here.
It's going to be a nuts crowd ye for twenty
five kickoff. The weather's going to be gorgeous. And I'll
tell you what if Daniels doesn't play, you know the
team is going to be extra jacked up to try
and win one for him when he's not in the
on the roster that day.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
So so Kansas City just got a little bit better. Yeah,
they did with getting Hopkins from Tennessee. And that's a
good pickup. By the way, I see good pickup. Cooper
Cup is up for he.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Might go to Tampa Bay. Was going to ask, Yeah,
he might go today. They need what They lost both
their wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
So what about told the t Higgins t.

Speaker 5 (40:50):
Higgins, Yeah, you know, he'll go somewhere. He'll go somewhere.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
You like him to go here, I'd like him to
come here.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
Well, you and I talked about that of adding a
wide receiver once again, something asked the GMA tomorrow in
your exclusive interview at eight thirty live on this station,
on this dumb show.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
I'm not going to answer that question. Ask him anyway.
I will.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
Yeah, you know, a good interviewer would find a way
to get that answer.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Really.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah. Wait, here's the thing, Yeah, I can get those answers.
He may not come back on next week.

Speaker 5 (41:21):
Well we'll see about that. Hey, a couple more things
locally before I let you go. Caps beat your flyers
last night six three Ovechen got an empty net or
he is at eight fifty five, so he is only
I think thirty nine goals away from tying wing Retski
of the all time goal scoring streak.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
It's only thirty nine now, thanks, I thought it was
hired than that.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Thirty nine. He could feasibly get that this season.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
Let me double check. I'm pretty sure. Yeah, thirty nine
goals from tyme. Wow, yeah, you know that's possible. Man,
It's not happening this year, but it'll happen next year.
Saying that, yeah again, I don't need your negativity. GPS
on a five game winning streak. Yeah, several days off now.
Home game will be versus the Rangers next Tuesday. But
they're playing some great inspired hockey right now. So it's fantastic.

(42:07):
And Wizards opening night today a Capital one. The Boston
Celtics are in town. Tip is at seven o'clock. I
know Boston's good. And the Washing Mystics fired their both
GM and head coach yesterday. Clean the house. It was
a bad team last year.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
Let me show you how this is done, all right,
Wizard's gonna win, Okay, get the gambling gap out.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Jayden's gonna play this weekend, oh boy, and is gonna
break that right?

Speaker 5 (42:32):
Why don't you do a dumb bit here? And Jackson's
crystal ball when you're wrong about everything?

Speaker 2 (42:37):
This is just it's called being positive.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
I'm true for a year, year and a half, you
are the least positive person I think I've ever met
on the planet.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
I hate everyone, Yes, I mean, now you're being honest.
I don't like people. I know you don't gonna get
your shirt, stay away from me.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
I have one that says I hate.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
Anybody that says they go into the woods to get
away from everybody does not like people.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
No, that's exactly what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
I the other days, there's a ton of people here.
It was a day when everybody came into the office.
Oh here at iHeart yeah here, oh yeah. And I
walked on into the hall and I came back in.
I told Crash. It was like, it's way too people
out there, way too people. I'm not going out there.

Speaker 5 (43:23):
He did well, and you have a small hole here
for the show, so it was much safer here.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Yeah, it is all right, thank you, Dennis.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Okay, guys, let's give away some tickets for that game
this weekend that Jaden's going to play in. He's probably
not going to play, but look, do what's best for
the team. Obviously, do what's best for Jaden, because we
want to see him play for a long time. Let's
play what have we learned on the show today?

Speaker 2 (43:49):
What do we got?

Speaker 3 (43:50):
Even though he denies that, we have video evidence of
Aaron Rodgers eating what?

Speaker 2 (43:54):
There you go?

Speaker 1 (43:54):
One hundred and four nine three one three, good luck
from Big one hundred, DC's Classic Crockets Big one hundred.
Unless see if we can get a winner on what
have we learned on the show today, we'll go to
the phones.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
Hi, who's this, Bobby? How are you this morning?

Speaker 4 (44:08):
Good man?

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Hey, we got a pair of tickets for this weekend's game.
If you can tell us what was Aaron Rodgers eating?

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think you.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
I think he actually was.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Yeah, he denies it, but there there seems to be
a video evidence.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Yeah, man, we're.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Gonna set you up with tickets for the game against
the Bears this weekend. All right, you bet, hold on it.
We'll get y'all set up than you. You bet another
pair of those to give away tomorrow right here on
DC's Classic Rockets Big one hundred.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
