Speaker 1 (00:01):
In its earliest day, is the major function of radio
was news?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Going on here, beautiful, let everybody go, Why don't you
put on a show and charge its should?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Okay, so I would say something with music and comedy.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
Now you're talking, it.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Will be a show for everyone who loves music and murder.
Coming on, Chuck, we got it a show to do.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Showtime.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Are you ready? I'm ready to get your baby job.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Well, well, oh my god, I'm gonna I'm afraid to
do this. Going on a limb. I think the Commanders
are pretty good. Notice that crazy, Oh my god, like
seven and two. It's like the first time they've started
seven and two since what I six or something crazy
(01:02):
like that. It's insane, man, it's awesome. Beat the Giants
twenty seven to twenty two, I believe was the was
the final. Now you just got to look at the division.
The Cowboys sucked. Just ask Prescott if you saw him
lipping his complaints on the sideline.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Clear as day. He's like, we effing suck, is what
he said. The Giants. Well, you know, Commanders have swept
the Giants now two out of two. So you got
the Eagles to look at and the Eagles are good,
but they have not I feel like they have not
been playing up to their potential. They've not been playing
(01:44):
as well as they should be playing considering how stacked
they are. And they really I watched that game yesterday.
They really did get lucky because Jacks came back and
almost almost won that game. And if it weren't for
a bad pass at the end of the game that
turned into an interception, that have gone either way. So uh,
but yeah, let's uh, let's now, let's not say it yet.
(02:07):
Let's wait till next week. If they beat the Steelers,
then we'll say the Commanders are good. It's just like that.
It's like the PTSD from last year. Yeah, you just
you don't even want to You're afraid if you acknowledge it.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
You don't want to let those feelings like get into
your blood because you don't want the disappointment. Yeah ay right.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
If I feel like, if I acknowledge it, I'll curse
curse them, I don't. I don't want to do that.
So so yeah, they're okay, they are. They should We'll
see how they do. Oh wow, hey, there's an election tomorrow.
You should get out. Yeah, you should get out and
vote if you haven't already done. So, uh, I heard
(02:46):
it put this way, and I thought it was pretty smart.
Voting ends tomorrow. Voting has been going on for quite
some time. Voting ends tomorrow. So you should get out
and get highlight. The polls open till eight pm. We'll
double check it for you, we'll find out for you.
But make sure you get out and vote tomorrow if
you have not already done. So just see that Iowa poll.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I don't buy that.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
That's the thing, like with the polls and the all
the stuff leading up, you got to just tune it out.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
I just don't buy any of the polls anymore. First off,
they've got a that's a serious problem with land lines.
Who has a landline except for your grandpa and you know,
anyone between the ages of like eighteen and thirty five.
Don't answer poles. I get asked to take polls every
(03:40):
single day. I get the phone calls, I get the text.
I've answered zero of them. Mean that is the majority
of people. So it's really tough to look at a
pole and go, well, yeah, and Iowa, Iowa lean in blue.
Come on, Iowa. No, I don't know if I buy that,
I mean, you know, good for the Harris campaign if
(04:02):
that's truly the case. But it's kind of hard to
believe in red state like Iowa.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
It's just putting any faith in the polls at all,
like you just can't do.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
But the ladies that put the Iowa went out. She's
like one of the best around and it's got like
an incredible track record. So who knows? Who knows? You
know what? Well, in about forty eight hours we will
know nothing, probably know nothing. Yeah yeah, yeah, well know
maybe when some of the court dates are right. Are
(04:32):
they really really like bording stuff up in parts of DC?
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah? Down around the White House is starting to board up.
Oh boy, remember when elections were.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Can't we just all get along? You realize we all
have more in common than we don't. It is six twelve.
You're listening to DC's classic rock Big one hundred. Coming
up this morning, we've got I'm so excited and with
Santana Moss another win. Uh that's gonna take place about
eight thirty this morning. We've got a laundry list of
(05:05):
guests for you this week, as we do every week,
Logan pauls and will join us on the show Tomorrow
of Our Arrington on Wednesday. Mike Florio from Pro Football
Talk will join us on Thursday, and general manager of
Your Commanders and mister Adam Peters joins this on Fridays
and also on Fridays, Tim Murray from The Big Wager,
he gave me some good advice this week. I want
(05:27):
some money. I took his advice. I won some money.
There you go, all right, we'll take care of some
business here. We're back to in just a few DC's
classic Crack. HiT's a big one hundred DC's Classic Crocket.
It's a big one hundred Toto he did it. He
worked kill him and Jarrow into over the Serengetti into
a song and did the lyrics. When he was writing that,
(05:50):
He's like, how can I get kill him and Garro
and Sarrengetti in this line? You have to think that's
probably not gonna sound very good. They made it work,
he did. It's the magic of Toto there and Daddy
it is uh six twenty one and good morning do you.
We're gonna have tickets every day this week to give
away for the home game against the Steelers, right, so
(06:11):
we'll give a chance to win coming up closer to
nine o'clock this morning. And for the big word of
the week, do you have iron maiden?
Speaker 3 (06:20):
We're supposed to let me double check that I'm double checking.
Then now I.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Think it might be iron Maiden tickets. We'll give you
a new letter. We'll start the word.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
It's iron maiden.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Very cool. We'll start to word about seven to twenty
this morning. If you're feeling that daylight savings change, most
people are, oh yeah, seventy percent of Americans say it
fs them up, screws with their sleeve, schedule, their mood.
I'll tell you what this This one's not near as
bad as spring. Like they both kind of throw me
(06:50):
for a loop. But in spring, when we go forward,
that one really checks me up for like three days.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I'm opposite. Now that we're that we do mornings. Like
back in the days when I did afternoons, it was
easier to adjust to the to springing forward because the
days felt like they were ending sooner. Yeah, but yeah,
now it's this in the spring is awful.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
So it'll be a little zombious for a couple of days,
but the spring is way worse in my opinion, Like
this one, I don't. I don't stress too much over
but h and I got an extra hour of sleep.
But how It's like I was joking about this the
other day because my son does this and I keep
telling him it's not how it works, dude. Forget. The
(07:33):
time has changed. This is the new time, because for
like three weeks he'll be like, yeah, but really it's
only three thirty or you know, and it's like, no, no,
he's to do that when he'd want to stay out later. Yeah,
but really it's only nine. No, the time has changed.
This is the time now, six twenty three. Things I
(07:55):
know coming up in just a bid here, and there
was something I wanted to get out and vote, by
the way, someone I wanted to talk about, but I
can't remember. Get out and vote because well, tomorrow is
the day. And I'd love to tell you that in
forty eight ish hours that will know what's happening, but
chances are we will not. I've seen everything, you know,
(08:19):
follow a bunch of like a political analyst and you know,
political geeks on social media. I've seen everything from what
they've been saying for months, which is it's an extremely
tight race, to some that say no, it's going to
be a blowout, right that. And they're saying Kamala is
going to win in like a landslide, right, And that's
(08:40):
they base that on the number of female voters they're
seen voting early, like, so they can get those numbers
that show how many females voted versus how many males voted.
It doesn't break them down by party, but they can
see that that women are coming out in full force,
full force, and so that indicates to them that they're
(09:02):
voting over you know, Roe v. Wade and we'll see,
we'll see. It's it's just saying off the air that
is much as I run around most days, going God,
can this just be over? Now? Can we stop? There's
still small part of it's like, Oh, this is gonna
be exciting, It's gonna be juicy. I'm I kind of
(09:23):
like watching drama.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I mean, if if there was a landslide, we would
know some results, then.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
You would you would.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
That's the only way we're gonna know anything. It's gonna
have to be a runaway.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah if it and if it's a runaway, we we
would know almost instantly, But would we because it doesn't matter,
it's gonna be an s show. Just let's just get
used to it and get ready for it, Okay, boarding
up my place, Yeah all right, I wouldn't worry about
(09:56):
I'd worry more about those Russians across the street from
me than anybody else.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
So they my neighborhood's safe. There's only one group committing
crime in my neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
That's right, all right. Six twenty six DC's Classic Rockets
Big one hundred DC's Classic Rockets Big one hundred Jump
is van Halen at six thirty eight A little bit
later this morning, every day this week. As a matter
of fact, we have tickets to give away for the
home game against the Steelers coming up this weekend, and
(10:27):
Iron Maiden tickets have for grabbed for the big word
of the week. Your first letter comes your way about
seven to twenty this morning. Time for things I Know.
Someone analyzed which dates were the most commonly mentioned in
Jeopardy answers over the past forty years, and not surprisingly,
(10:49):
the most frequent date mentioned is July fourth, one hundred
and seventy one times. Every date was mentioned at least
a couple of time times. The least common December eleventh,
November twelfth, and thirteenth in By the back of my head,
(11:11):
I'm going what days or though maybe they're just more
like historical dates, because when I first read it, I thought, oh, holidays, right,
But I think it's just holidays. They're saying basically all
three hundred and sixty five days have been mentioned at
some point. Did you know the scrolling text at the
beginning of the early Star Wars movies was actually done
(11:32):
by printing it out and then having a camera slowly
roll over it.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I knew that.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Wow, we've come a long way. I'm a nerd. Wow.
The mascots on kids cereal boxes, like Tony the Tiger,
They're purposely drawn so that their eyes look slightly downward.
The reason they do this is to make sure that
if the boxes are up high on a shelf at
(11:58):
the grocery store, the mascot is making eye contact with
your kids. It's so freaky. And the original reels of
Now I'm curious about this, excuse me? The original reels
have gone with The Wind and the Wizard of Oz
(12:18):
and apparently many other classic movies and TV shows are
stored in an underground salt mine in Kansas. It's like
a place to protect like classic films. Is that the deal?
Would they let you tour that or is it just
like no, no, it's off limits. Yeah, well, it reminds
(12:39):
me of the the I think it's in Norway, the
underground warehouse that holds all the seeds in the world,
holds every kind of seed, just in case we destroy
ourselves and need to make a comeback.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Which we're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
This is gonna happen eventually. Know that if you are
one of the last surviving members the Wizard of Oz
is in Kansas, and you've got some movies and anything
you need to grow for food is in an underground
shelter in Norway. You just got to find it.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
And good luck figuring out how to reel that up
to watch it.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah right, right right uh six one DC's Classic Crockets
Big one hundred, DC's Classic rock Gets Big one hundred
Aerosmith and dream On and good morning to you. We're
gonna have some tickets to give away for the Commander's
home game against the Steelers at Northwest coming up a
(13:36):
little bit later this morning. We'll have those every day
this week. Your first letter for the big word of
the week that's coming your way. About seven to twenty
this morning. I love stuff like this. If there is
an alien invasion in America, which states are most likely
to survive. There's a new study. They looked at all
(13:57):
the states and tried to deter and who would have
the best chance of survival if aliens invaded.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Still no cure for cancer.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
No, no, But we got bigger things to worry about. Man,
what if the aliens invade. By the way, you're doomed
if you live in Nevada, or Ida, Idaho. Yeah, they
were dead last on the list of being able to
defend themselves. I guess this website did this, and they
take into account things like the number of UFO sidings, landscape, terrain,
(14:32):
defend science, medical resources, food, beverage, manufacturing, et cetera, et cetera.
In the end, Virginia has the best chance to survive
an alien invasion. Alabama was second.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Alabama.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
That's all of the Rednecks. They're ready. They're always ready.
They don't know what they're ready for, but they're ready.
They're always ready. That was followed by Minnesota, Massachusetts, New York, Florida, Wisconsin,
North Carolina, Alaska, and Georgia. Those are your best bets,
all right, such a diverse group. Yeah, it really is.
The state where you have the lowest chance of survival
(15:09):
is Nevada might have something to do with area fifty
one being there. I don't know. Idaho was second.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
It's ground zero.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah, but Jesse, you know the aliens invade Virginia, that's
where you want to be, Virginia.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
They give details on how I think a lot of
it has to do with conclusion.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Well, there's probably a lot of defense contractors, right that
it covers your defense. There's probably the terrain, the Shenandoah's,
I mean, there's probably some big food manufacturers. There's I
don't know. I'm starting to I'm just starting to make
stuff up now. I just know that Virginia's where you
(15:51):
to be. Virginia is the police to be. That's all
you gotta know. Virginia. All right, It is seven twelve
coming up here, we'll get to the first letter for
the big word of the week. Just around the corner.
DC's Class Crockets Big one hundred, DC's Class Crockets, Big
one hundred, Separate Ways Journey. The more I think about
the state of Virginia being the most prepared to fight
(16:13):
off an alien invasion. The more it makes sense. When
you get the CIA. You've got to the Pentagon, right,
you got to the big tell Us at over there,
you do. You've got you know defense contractors, Yep, you've
got I mean they're they're prepped. Man.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
You used to have AOL.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, right, if you need dial up your set.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Back in the day when you when you heard about
high speed connection and it was almost mythical.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I still getting this thing.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
The connected all the time.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Like CDs in the mail, twenty three hours of dial up.
You couldn't use it if somebody was on the phone.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
I remember calling Ale and ask them if they had
that on a floppy because my computer at the time
didn't drive, but it would take a floppy. They never
sent me one, they said they would.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
You know, you can also blow up, blow up the
bridges and keep the people from Maryland out.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
We should probably do that anyway, right, and uh, let's
see that only works for Virginia though, because in DC
there's we're connected like Maryland and DC or like that.
But we can keep Virginia out.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Yeah, it makes sense now, it makes sense, and it
makes total sense why Alabama's second.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Who was third though it was Connecticut. It was. It
was a bizarre yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
I think it was like Massachusetts or someplace, wasn't it.
Let's see it was, uh yeah, followed by Alabama Virginia first.
Alabama most likely to survive an alien invasion. I would
assume this would apply to like zombies too. Minnesota, then Massachusetts,
then New York, then Florida. That's it might be a
(18:00):
little higher on the list because there's a lot of
crazy down there, A lot of crazies would take the
alien's head on. It is seven to twenty five and
it is time. We were giving away Iron Maiden tickets
this week for the big word of the week. So
you know how this works. Every day about this time
we give you a letter at the end of the week.
It spells a word. Know the word, win the prize.
(18:22):
Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
The big word of the week on Big one hundred.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Today's letter is the letter B, as in boy, the
letter B. All right, give you another letter tomorrow about
this time. End of the week, Iron Maiden tickets. Speaking
of tickets, we have tickets to give away from the
home game at Northwest Stadium against the Steelers, and we'll
talk more about that coming up on DC's Classic Rockets
Big one hundred, DC's Classic Rockhets Big one hundred. It's
(18:49):
Monday and to the greatest quote from the weekend, we
fing suck Jack Prescott, Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Beautiful.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
It's beautiful one. Fireball Whiskey is creating what they call
crier ball. You can actually drink the tears of your rivals. Yeah,
you can drink their tears. Fireball Whiskey is doing something
(19:20):
called cryer ball, which embraces the competitive spirit by blending
fireball with the actual human tiers of losers. They are
going to six big rivalry games this month, three college,
three NFL. They will have people stationed at the exits
(19:40):
where they will ask losing fans to donate their tiers.
Every job will be captured, stored, and sealed in sterile jars,
then safely transported to a secure facility for storing and distillation.
(20:01):
I won't how many tears they put in a bottle,
like it would it be salty?
Speaker 3 (20:04):
How sanitary is that?
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Well, they're going to distill it, They're gonna they're going
to sterilize it. But the process will take months, and
the bottles of cryer ball will be made available in
time for next year's games in the twenty five to
twenty six season. It's kind of vague when the rollout
will actually take place, but uh yeah, Fireball whiskey with
(20:28):
the tears. I mean, look, you put Dallas Cowboys tears
and herroll buy it by that.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Toast it.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
I will, uh seven that's awesome. I who knows if
they're actually doing it, but it's brilliant marketing. They're going
to go to the games and collect tears. This is fantastic.
I love it. Uh Speaking of football, we have tickets
to give away for a home game against the Stealer
(21:01):
this this weekend Northwest Stadium. You can collect your brother's
tears after that game. What I'm hoping to do, That's
what I'm hoping to do. My brother is a Steelers fan.
He's coming into town for the game. I will collect
his tears. And he's my younger brother. So if he doesn't,
crowds beat it out of him. That's how we do it.
(21:23):
Crying yet come here, Yeah for sure. Yeah, so that's
pretty cool. Seven for three DC's Classic Rock coming up
at eight thirty this morning. We'll chat with Santana Moss
about that big win over the Giants. Maybe talk a
little bit about the Steelers game coming up, and we'll
also we'll have those tickets to give away and Florida
(21:47):
Man's coming up. DC's Classic Rock. It's a big one hundred.
DC's Classic Rocket, It's a big one hundred and running
down a dream. There's Tom Petty. I just wrote Jaden
Daniels in for president on my on my ballot. It's
an excellent It was, uh what I had to do.
That's what I had to do, jayde and Daniels for president.
(22:08):
I don't feel like I got caught up in the
whole whole mess that made my decision. Do you see
Jason Kelsey I did. Dude, they got under his skin.
You know.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
That'll do it?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Good for him? Good for him?
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Honestly, Yeah, I'm not upset in the least.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
About no nor am I. Outside the Penn State Ohio
State game on Saturday, Kelsey was, well, he's being harassed
by some uh some Penn State fans. And why they
were harassing him in the first place, I have no idea.
But he was walking around State College outside the game
and somebody said something to him about uh said something
(22:56):
derogatory about his brother and dating Taylor Swift R. Yes,
So Jason turned around, grabbed the guy's phone and slammed
it on the ground. Good for him, that's awesome. And
then he picked it up again and wouldn't give it back.
And then Jason returned said slurs. You know that's the thing.
(23:16):
He did return the the language back at the guy.
Maybe not the best look there, but uh, the video
him slamming the guy's phone and the guy's tall, skinny dude,
pretty brave because like when Kelsey leaned down to pick
up the phone after he slammed it on the ground,
the guy pushed him. Yeah, and it's like, don't fall
(23:36):
for that, don't bite, don't bite. He's looking for he's
looking for a payday. He wants you to punch him.
What's your mentality to idiot? Make a comment like idiot?
I mean what I think he was. I honestly think
there are people out there who are trying to get
a reaction.
Speaker 5 (23:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
I think it would not surprise me in the least
if the guy was trying to piss him off so
bad that Kelsey took a swing at him and then
eight to them. And it's like it's ridiculous, but he
did walk away from it. He broke the guy's phone.
Good for him, awesome, slammed it on the ground, picked
it up, walked off with it. Wouldn't give it back.
(24:13):
Love it, Love it. It is eight oh nine coming
up Florida, man, Plus, we're gonna chat with Santana Moss
about that big win. The Commander's off to a seven
and two start, first time since nineteen ninety six. Uh,
it's the first time they've swept the Giants, and that's
been it's been a handful of years. So that's that's
(24:34):
two against the Giants done. I still got to you know,
Cowboys and Eagles to worry about in the division. But
things are looking good, man, things are looking really really good.
So we'll chat with Santana coming up here in just
a bit on DC's Classic Rock. It's a big one hundred.
DC's Classic Rock. It's a big one hundred and go
(24:54):
your own way. It's Jackson here. Good morning to you.
Eight twenty one. We're gonna chat with Santana Moss coming
up just a few minutes from now. We'll talk about
that game against the Giants. Commander sweep the Giants for
the season off to a seven and two start, first
time since nineteen ninety six. Impressive, Nope, still not gonna nope,
(25:16):
still not gonna get it. Nope nope.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
Don't get your hopes.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Every week. I'm like, now, nope, nope, nope. It could
be it could be deep into the playoffs and I'd
be like, nah, I'm still not sure. I don't want
to be let down. It is time for Florida Man.
Florida Man. Just a quick one for you today. But
(25:45):
it's pretty funny if Florida Man has been arrested. This
was last year, accused of passing out marijuana to people
passing by for the holidays. Saint Petersburg police arrested sixty
seven year old Richard Spurrier. He said they were called
(26:08):
to the scene by a witness and went to detective nitch, Yeah,
a little snitch, snitches, get stitches, turning this guy in here.
He is doing a good deed, doing the lord's work
for real. Detective said when they confronted the man and
told he told them, yes, he is handing out little
bags of marijuana. And he said because it's Christmas. Oh
(26:31):
ho ho. He was in possession of forty five grams
of marijuana. He also had a hidden sword in his cane.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Oh there's that.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
But I think they got him on the marijuana possession churches.
He was handed out little baggies for Christmas. Somebody snitched.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Somebody snitched on me, all.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Right, So let's take care of some business here. We'll
come back. We'll have a conversation with Santana Moss next
on DC's Classic Crocket's Big one hundred, DC's Classic Rocket,
It's Big one hundred. Santana Moss Joints is on the
show brought to you today by Vernon, the heating and
cooling specialist demand the best called Vernon Today. Santana, I
just I just completed my my ballot for election Day
(27:19):
and I wrote in Jaden Daniels for President. And I'm
happy with it. I'm I proved that one. I'm telling
you man. So the Commander swept the Giants for the
first time since twenty twenty one, off to a seven
and two start, first time since nineteen ninety six, twenty
seven to twenty two win, and it's an NFC East rival,
(27:41):
Like all is right in the world right now? What
you think of the game?
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
I think, you know, one of the things that I
was looking forward to seeing is just how these guys
respond after, you know, being on such a high all
last week, you know, I mean, you know, I said,
going into the.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Game, like you couldn't do anything.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Whether he was.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
Watching TV or he was on social media.
Speaker 6 (28:00):
You saw that catch, you saw something about the Commanders,
you saw something about Jaden Daniels, And when you start
getting that kind of a buzz nationally, it's hard as
a player at times to kind of like, you know,
ignore it. And I'm happy that this, Like I said
before earlier this year, this staff man, they have these
guys so well prepared. They come into the next game
(28:22):
like they did nothing last week. They come in there
with a whole different mindset to go out there and
win that battle and win that game and come on
with Urist. So I was glad to see the guys
go out there and response spawn early, especially when you're
going into enemy's territory, you know, and Giants. You know,
you're in Medlfe Stadium. The Giants has always been a
thrown in our backside. It's always tough to play these guys,
(28:44):
and they showed you that the first time we played
them and then going into the this is Jaden Daniels
and his staff first time playing a team twice. So
so the Giants was the first team that they got
to see us twice to have a beat on what
we was doing, and we still went out there.
Speaker 5 (28:58):
And got the job done.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Fantast Speaking of a fantastic staff, like, look at guys
like Adam Peters and Dan Quinn and what they've they've
managed to put together here. One of the things I'm
most impressed with is the depth they built at the
running back position, because h b Rob is an absolute monster,
right and we definitely miss him when he's gone. But
(29:20):
the good news is, you know, you still got guys
like Austin Eckley's still got Rodriguez. You still guys got
guys on the team that can go out there and
put together a run game. And I thought they did
a fantastic job. And in b Rob's absence, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Coming into that game, man, I didn't even know b
Rob was going to be down.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
I wish I'd have known.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
I had them on my fantasy and so but but at.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
The same time, man, you're right, you hit it on
the head.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
I think these these guys really went out there and
and and and picked the right guys to kind of be,
you know, be the backups and to have that running
back room, that running back quarter back committee whenever we
can't depend on b rob I think b Robb is
one of those guys second to none, right.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
I think he's leading the league when.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
It comes to you know, just yards after I mean
yards after, he's he it's his first you know, being
first time be in touch or whatever. He's one of
those dynamic, hard, physical backs that you know, Fresho would
always say that when you watch a DV hit him,
you see that DV get up and run to.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
The sideline because he don't want no more of.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
That punishment, or that punishment caused him to take a playoff.
But yeah, going into that game, not knowing he was
going to be up, I think Eckler, you know, did
a tremendous job mc nichols or rod Riggers later in
that second half to car out there and be that bulldozer.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
I wanted to see him early in the game.
Speaker 6 (30:36):
But I love the way they really went out there,
manipulated you know what they was doing, and said, Okay,
now it's time to put the bruise in and let
him run out this clock for us. So, hey, man,
job well done by the staff. I can't continue to
give him, you know more, I mean, how much more
critic can we give him?
Speaker 5 (30:51):
They're just doing everything right right now.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
And this is how you win ball games in this league,
and this is how you be where we're at right
now at seven to two.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah, And I tell you, speaking of doing things right,
the Giants, look, they're two and seven, but they do
have a ton of talented players on the roster, and
especially on their defensive front. They entered that game leading
the league with thirty five sacks, and the Commanders and
left with zero left to zero, kept Jayden clean the
entire game. And coming off last year and the issues
(31:21):
with the old line, I mean, you really can't be
any happier, like you said, can you? Can you continue
to give them credit? I feel like we've given them
all the credit in the world.
Speaker 6 (31:30):
I mean, caused me beyondag g Ready or you named Willie.
All those guys are the young guy we just got
the little rookie seventy four. All those guys get tons
of credit. The offensive line coats tons of credit, you know,
Cliff Cleensburg tons of credit, Jayden Daniels tons of credit,
(31:50):
because not only are all these guys in Unison playing together,
it just seems to me, regardless of what they presented,
they go out there and just do what they're supposed
to do. I think you you look at the quarterback
position as a whole and you think about it.
Speaker 5 (32:03):
Last year we was.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
Talking about Sam Howell is holding onto the ball too much.
The offensive line wasn't that bad. It was at times
where you know, Sam just held onto the ball. So
you look at things and how things are going. Now
you see a young Jaden Daniels that he knows what
to do every single time. If he gets a little
too much pressure, all right, it's time to escape the pocket.
Now it's time to you know, step up into the pocket.
(32:25):
It's time to do something with this ball, get rid
of it. And so all those guys get toner credit.
But I think that's one of the formulas two to
us having so much success offensively, because now when you're
not behind the change, you get a chance to have
that second and manageable down, third and manageable downs, and
now you get to go out there and convert because
you don't have to worry about being so far behind
the chain and now you got to.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
Make this heroic play just to get a first down.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
And he's just such a great decision maker. I think
you nailed it. It's like he knows what to do
every time, super calm, super collected. Yeah, and just knows
where to go and what to do when the pressures on,
which is just how do you think we match up
against his Steelers team? Who knows?
Speaker 6 (33:07):
I mean, honestly, you know, I'm gonna get into the
film and and see what's going on. I had a
fan of two that was at the Giant Stadium, one
of the security guards. He was a good guy that
helped us walk around the stadium, and he was telling
us to you know, be easy on the Steelers before
the game even started yesterday, and I said, oh, we
got to take care of business first here and then
we can start talking about the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
And he's a big Steelers fan.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
And and then after the game was over, he met
up with me and b Mitch and Brian Comber Jr.
Right before we did our you know, our post game show,
and he said, hey, man, you know, don't get me wrong,
Wat's good and you know this guy, you know, high
Smith or whatever one of the guy's name is that
he mentioned. He say, all those guys are still good.
But he's like, bro, there they're they're not who they
(33:48):
They're not who they was on defense, And I'm like, Hey,
we still have to go out there and play the game.
But I think I think we're we're capable of winning
any game if we go out there and do what
we do, you know what I'm saying. That's one of
the things I said. I don't think this staff worry
about who the opponent is. They worry about how they
go out there and execute what's what's being asked. And
I think that's one of the things that's standing out
(34:09):
the most to me this year too. Execution is at
a high level because these guys are well prepared and
they go out there and do just that, do what
they got to do, do their job, and that's why.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
They you know, tending to be where they're at right.
Speaker 6 (34:21):
Now today when it comes up, you know our record,
but you know instead is a good team and Russell
Wilson hasn't had a chance to go up against a
defense like this, and I'm looking forward to see how
he handles this pressure because I'm I'm sure these guys
are going to bring it.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, yeah, with this team, you know you said it.
It's like I always feel like they're in the game.
It doesn't matter who the opponent is, they have a
chance to win. How do we keep the terrible towels
out of the stadium? Can we.
Speaker 6 (34:50):
Brian Mitchell Brian Mitchell and miss h and Jaydon Damen
mom had a had a great head had a great
He was talking coming home on the flight. I ain't
said be men, said you know what, Tanne, we need
to make sure that we give out a bunch of
Burgundy towels. So when they waving their yellow towels, then
we waved by burgundy towels.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
It's our colors.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
That was great.
Speaker 6 (35:12):
And then Jayden Daniel's mom said, or just buy all
those seats up so they can't come to And I said,
you know what, that's another great idea.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
So hey, hi, every way we want to do it.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
Those two, those two had had great uh you know options.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
For that, and con look happened.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
You know those guys they're right down the fight.
Speaker 6 (35:32):
And be sure they're gonna come to because their boy
fans just like our guys us, but the fans are
not fans, and the fans are no fans that we're
want to go out there and our fans are going
to be the fans that's going to be heard and.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Sing more than anything. So I care less about those
terrible towels.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
Bring it, because we're gonna go out there and make
sure y'all y'all not waving.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Yeah, yeah, Well, I love the idea of just we
got to get Adam Peters on the phone here. I
love the idea of throwing out the burgundy towels and
then when they all go up, it's like, well, there's
your colors. That's it. You're good. So let me ask
you a question. Outside of the commanders, Uh, Kansas City
chiefs look to be real. How do you think they're
gonna fare tonight against the bucks? Man?
Speaker 4 (36:14):
You know what? I think?
Speaker 6 (36:15):
The bucks look, you know, crippled to say the least
right now when it comes to the receivers. And I'm
not sure Mike Evans is back at for his strength. Uh,
you know, they missed one of the other guys who
hurt his leg pretty bad and who knows, man, But
I think they're tough Man. You know, one of the
things about top Bow, He's gonna have those guys prepared.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
But you know, the.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Chiefs are the Chiefs.
Speaker 6 (36:35):
You know, my Homes finds a way. He seems to
find the way. And you know, we get so much
credit to Mahomes, but Andy Reid Man, he's been doing
it for so long. Man, he doesn't he doesn't get
as much credit as he should. And I'm pretty sure
all the players that once played from or played against
him understand his formuland and knows why. You know, the
Kansas City Chiefs are so good. But I say the
Chiefs is gonna do what they do, and at the
(36:57):
end of the day, they gotta be somebody else in
the pack, you know, in the NFC go out there
and take them down. You know, until that's done, then
we're gonna be Keep County guys each and every year.
But you know, I'm riding how our guys over here.
I'm not getting getting too far ahead of ourselves, right,
but I'm riding high for our guys to go out
there and hopefully be that team at the end taking
them down.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
I tell you, well, there's one team I have been
watching every week that I'm like, oh boy, they're going
to be They're gonna be a nightmares to the Lions.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
Yeah, I knew he was going to talk about those Lions. Hey, man,
you're not lying.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I mean every time you turn on ESPN or one
of these these these sports.
Speaker 6 (37:32):
Channels, man, they're talking about how well they playing. And
you just saw those guys go on the road and
Green Bay and go out there and play them the
way they play them, and you would think like, hey,
Alliance can't be doing this outside. You know, they're their
dome team, you know like that. That coaching staff have
those guys well prepared as well.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
And they're playing some good football. So who knows what's.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Gonna happen at the end.
Speaker 6 (37:54):
That's why we play the game. And I'm looking forward
to each and every channels that we have over here.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
ES combatis awesome. Santana's thank you as always a mana,
and I look forward to talking to you next week
because I'm I'm thinking we may be talking about another win.
That's that's the fingers crossed here.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
I tell you keep speaking into.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
There you go, man, all right, Santana, Boss, ladies and gentlemen.
Power today by Vernon the heating and cooling specialist. Demand
the best call vernon today, DC's Class crock, It's big
one hundred a d C and Highway to Hell. It's
eight forty four and good morning to you. I was
just toning crash. I'm doing everything. I'm trip washing the hands,
I'm taking vitamin C. I'm even taking like the airborne preventative.
(38:35):
You know, November every single year, without fail is always
excuse me, there it is. There is is always the
month I get sick. I always get a cold in November. Always.
It's like the only time it didn't happen was during
COVID because we didn't leave our houses, you know what
(38:56):
I mean. Yeah, I was not sick the entire No,
It's like, God, I went two years without even catching
a cold. Can we go back to that less less
people ly no colds.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
No.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
I started to go to in the beginning a bit
of an introvert, and so in the beginning it was
the greatest thing in the world. I remember talking to
other introverts and going, how fantastic is this? Like, wait,
I'm supposed to go to a two year old's birthday party. Nope,
don't have to go. Oh, there's a wedding. I don't
go in, but I tell you what, about six seven
(39:30):
months in it, it started to wear on me. It
started to hit me. It was fun for a little while,
and then it started to I started getting just kind
of anxious and not sleeping. Well, yeah I never did, no,
but I'm thinking the election is tomorrow, So I think
the jahatsu that I keep talking about Mike's might take
(39:54):
place Wednesday. So that's where I'm going to disappear, willingly disappear,
fall off the face of the earth, no contact, find
a cabin in the woods somewhere, no more people. And
so if I'm not here Wednesday, that's why that you
just know. Yeah, that's that's where I went. Dude, if
(40:15):
they're already like jots, they're already boarding up some windows
in DC.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, they're doing it around the White House.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
That that sucks. I mean, that sucks that we even
have to think about doing that.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
Oh, you weren't here in twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
No, I don't want to be here in twenty twenty.
Speaker 6 (40:30):
Oh I was.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
No, it was uh yeah, it was just it was ugly. Yeah.
All I kept thinking was I remember when that was
all going down, Because people came from all over the country, right,
Uh for jan six, they were from everywhere. All I
kept thinking, you know, outside the obvious that you're thinking.
But one of the side thoughts I kept having was like,
(40:53):
if you're a resident of DC, right, this is your city,
this is where you call home. This is uh, you know,
the place you feel comfortable, the place you love, the
place you wake up every day and go to bed
every day. And all of a sudden, all these people
just took over your ship. I kept thinking, that's gonna
(41:14):
suck to like, look out your window and go.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
It felt like a violation because because that was the
same year that BLM was happening, and that was what
they used to justify. But it wasn't the same thing
because BLM was a protest. At the end of the day,
it was a protest. It was a big protest, but
it was still a protest something completely different.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
And you're always gonna any protest, You're always gonna have
bad apples, you know. I Mean, there was some pretty
nasty stuff that went down in Philly, but you're always
gonna have bad apples. You're always gonna have people that
take things too far. Like it was maybe it was
maybe half a mile from my house. I heard it.
Somebody blew up an ATM machine.
Speaker 6 (41:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
I laugh, I don't know, it makes me laugh. But
they improvised some sort of explosive and blew up an
ATM machine to try to get the money. And those
are people that are just taking advantage of the chaos,
you know, and trying to knowing that that authority and
people that enforce the law are are thin and scattered
all over the city, Well, this would be a perfect
(42:19):
time to m eighty that to ATM machine. Right?
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Did it work?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
I don't know. I don't know if they got anything
out of it or not. I heard it, and then
you know, you hear this big bang and they're like,
what the hell was that? Right? And then I talked
to some friends that lived even closer to it, and
they're like, oh, yeah, that was it. They tried to
blow up an ATM machine. Okay, all right, they get
the money, it's always my first question, Well they get it?
(42:45):
He did it work? All right? It's eight forty eight
Classic Cash coming up in the nine o'clock hour. That's
your chance to win a thousand bucks. Give you a
keywords you enter that at wb ig dot com for
your chance to win, and we will get to in

(43:08):

game this weekend home game against Steelers Northwest Stadium. I
love the idea of handing out burgundy towels, so then
every time the towles go up, it just looks likely.
That's brilliant And that was Jaden's momb yea, it came
up with that. That's a smart woman, so simple, I know.
Let's give away a pair of tickets with what have
(43:30):
we learned on the show today? What do we got?
Speaker 3 (43:32):

Speaker 3 (43:54):

Speaker 1 (43:55):

survive this. What is this? It's aliens, It is aliens.
