Speaker 1 (00:00):
Very festive atmosphere here to night, a lot of young
football players and cheerleaders all around, and a fun night
for football here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty guys. Last
week Vision, mcdebbitt with a forty nine to nothing win
over Carlisle got the Crusaders over five hundred for the
first time this season. At three and two. They led
the game thirty five to nothing after the first quarter.

(00:22):
Maurice Barnes would score in a four yard run, Swoops
a fifteen yard run to make it fourteen zip, and
Sebastian Williams would hit Holton Junior from thirty six yards
out to make it twenty one zip. LaRue Junior twenty
yard touchdown pass from Sebastian. It was twenty eight nothing
and then Maurice Barnes a nine yard run made it
thirty five nothing mcdebitt. After one and the second quarter,

(00:45):
Swoops with a twenty six yard run and LaRue Junior
with a twelve yard run. It was forty nine nothing
mcdebit and they didn't have to play their starters in
the second half. Just some stats in that game rushing wise,
Swoops on the ground, seven rushes on Hunt eight yards
two touchdowns, Maurice Barnes seven rushes sixty six yards, two touchdowns,

(01:05):
and LaRue Junior one touchdown on the ground five rushes
fifty two yards. Sebastian in that game, a Sebastian Williams
passing five to eight for ninety six yards. Receiving wise,
Howard Holton Junior one reception for thirty six yards. That
was the touchdown for the big play passing wise for
Bishop mcdeviit in that game, but Marty an easy win

(01:26):
obviously last week for the Crusaders.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yeah, it really was. And you know, you talk about
that thirty six yard pass from Sebastian Williams to Howard Holton,
it kind of the first time this year for me
that I felt like the memories of that long pass.
You know, it was a really a perfectly run post pattern,
a perfectly thrown ball by Sebastian Williams, and it just
kind of brought back some memories of those long bombs

(01:51):
that I've grown a customs seeing since I started working
with you are in two thousand and eight. So it
was it was it was nice to see, but what
double plus to see was the way the running game
just pounded and pounded and pounded.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, and Rob, I mean, mcdebit just took care of
business last week.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Well yeah, are you basically just said took the words
right out of my mouth. A game like that where
you know you're you're expected to go in mercy rule
a team, it was just very workman like. And I'm
not saying that because they didn't play great. I mean,
they did what they were supposed to do. You know,
you can only play who you're lined up across. From
the thing that stuck out to me first half, mcdebit

(02:32):
at three hundred and ten total yards at halftime, Carlisle
had minus twenty one. A lot of tackles in the
backfield as you would expect, a lot of pressure from
that front seven. And again the running game, as you
guys highlighted that three headed monster. The three of them
carried the ball nineteen times in that game for two

(02:52):
hundred and nearly two hundred and thirty yards, all in
the first half. So couldn't really ask for anything more.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Last week, Altuna comes in to tonight two and three.
Their two wins they won at Cumberland Valley seventeen to sixteen,
and last week they won at Central dolf In East
fourteen to nothing. Just some notes in that game. Julian
Hazelwood who had a good game against Bisha mcdebit last year.
He rushed for one hundred and thirty seven yards on
the ground last week and scored both of their touchdowns.

(03:19):
Their de dominated the game, of course, with a shutout
and they limited a CD East to just four first.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Downs through the whole game.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
They force seven punts and got two interceptions and so
a nice win for Altuna on the road last week.
We talked about the game off the air here. Last year,
Bisha mcdebitt defeated Altuna at Rock Rotenzio Stadium twenty eight
to twenty one. It was a game that was actually
tied at twenty one head into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Swoops would score.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
In a nineteen yard run with ten to eleven left
to play and mcdebit's defense would have to get a
key stop to keep Altuna out of the end zone
as the game went down to the final moments there
and the Crusaders won twenty eight twenty one. Some stat
in that game I mentioned Hazelwood did have fifteen rushes
one hundred and seven yards in that game mcdevid in
that game though Nazia Jones Davis had a twelve yard

(04:09):
run for a score in that one, and also the
nineteen yarder I mentioned the fourth quarter John Tate quick
but for a forty yard reception from Stone Saunders in
that game. The Crusaders got the job done twenty eight
twenty one. And I know Marty coach Wector definitely reminding
his team this week of that game last year.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
That's one of the things I asked him about specifically.
I know that he put it out there and talked
a lot about it, because I mean in you and
I actually I remember the two of us up in
the booth because we were not really stopping out Tuna
and they were down inside I think our ten running
the ball, running the veer, running the quarterback. We were

(04:45):
not and they decided to go with a pitch which
we hadn't seen much, if at all, all game, and
they fumbled it. I thought it was a good call,
just to break it up. You said, why break? Why
should they have done something that wasn't broken? But that
was a but they would have had a chance to
either tie or go for two. And I doubt very
much that they wanted to try to go for two

(05:06):
to win it.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Yeah, they got cute, as I might say, Rob.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, that was That was one of the strangest nights
I can remember, you know, kind of in recent mcdevid
football memory. You had the whole spectacle of you know,
Stone breaking the state career touchdown pass mark, which happened
early on first quarter, the fireworks going off, you know,
a really big celebration, and mcdevin had a twenty one

(05:33):
seven lead at one point. It just seemed like everything
was a foregone conclusion. And as you guys painted the picture,
all of a sudden, you went from like a party
time to you know, you're almost losing the game. I mean,
it was just such a strange night.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
We're gonna talk later about I'm sure we'll all talk
about getting off to a fast start. Last year, they
scored twenty five seconds in. You can't get any faster
than that, and it went down to the last possession almost.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
All right, Well, we're gonna take a break, We'll take
a look at tonight's forecast, and we'll have Marty's interview
with coach Jeff Wecktter.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
That's next.

Speaker 9 (08:09):
What are You Going?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Jeff by Commission of Deva High school coach good Win
last week gets over the five hundred mark to three
and two. Talk a little bit about the game and
what you saw, what you liked, and you know what,
you came away thinking.

Speaker 10 (08:21):
How you know we got to Polysis, you know, going
into the game, you know, not quite sure what to expect.

Speaker 9 (08:29):
You know.

Speaker 10 (08:30):
I felt our defense, you know, would dominate, and they
did offensively. You know, they run that three stack we
saw for the second time this year, so it was
a little easier. They actually have a really good defensive lineman.
He didn't play much because he had he was coming in.
He missed the week before with a knee injury, so

(08:53):
we had to account for him. We changed some things up,
how we're going to do some different things if he
was because they moved him around, so you know, but
he he only played one or two series and then
went out. So you know, we ran the ball well,
you know, it spatulated real good read on the deep

(09:14):
ball to Howard Holton. You know, we kind of knew
that they were going to be in a third and
five down in the high red zone. We kind of
knew they were going to be in Manda Man, and
we took advantage of that. Uh you know what people
don't you know, So it's a play. You know, we
were clustering in trips, you know, we're running. You know,

(09:38):
we scored on it in the overtime against Harrisburg last year,
but they kind of jumped our running back out in
the flat cell. It was gauge that was wide open
in the back of the end zone. So we're kind
of rolling rubs, which we which is a mesh type
of play, but we're we do it when we expect
Manda Man. We actually had Howard Holden wide open on

(09:58):
that too, because he's coming up underneath the mesh part
of it. But we also get our back out into
you know, you call.

Speaker 9 (10:07):
It traffic, mesh traffic, and.

Speaker 10 (10:11):
Drum did a good job because actually their defensive ends
start coming inside and there was just a small hole
for him to get through and he kind of made
himself skinny and jumped through it. And of course he
was wide open and walked in the end zone and
Howard escorted him because Howard was open on it too.
So we did a lot of good things. You know,

(10:36):
the game was over early. You know, we didn't play
our starters in the second half, but you know, we
we were happy with our twos and threes because they
played their starting especially the offense, but we moved the
ball and you know, chance home we got a real
nice deep ball catch a fifty to fifty ball. You know,

(10:56):
are they're starting offense and defense played the whole game
and you know our second twos and threes and on
defense held them, you know, scoring, So you know, we
celebrate a little bit after the game. You know, that
was coach Barry his first defensive coordinator first you know, shutouts,
so you should have one against chambers Burg. But you know,

(11:19):
again their first team against our back ups. But uh
so it was a good win for us, and he
wins a good win, especially when you were coming into
the game to him too. So you know things, you know,
things we still got to work on. You know, still
need to sharpen up pass pass game a little bit.
You know, there's some things on defense we've got to

(11:40):
you know, clean up a little bit. But all all,
you know, it was a good night for us.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
A couple of numbers that stood out to me Coach Swoops,
Azire Jones Davis. He looked healthy.

Speaker 10 (11:53):
Get he's getting there. He looked much better than he
did the week before. You know, he tried to go
against Clift and really couldn't do.

Speaker 9 (12:02):
A whole lot.

Speaker 10 (12:04):
He's looked, he's looked even better in practice this week,
so I'm looking for a big game tonight from him.

Speaker 9 (12:10):
But yeah, he played well.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Marty Bowman made a ball prediction up in the booth
that Lord willing I'll be.

Speaker 9 (12:16):
Around to see the fulfillment of this week.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
But I said that Maurice Barnes is going to be
an edge rusher in the NFL someday. I just keep
looking at him, and I look at his size and
the frame that he has, and he can a lot
to build out on everything, but both sides of the ball. Again,
he played really good.

Speaker 9 (12:31):
He played well.

Speaker 10 (12:32):
I mean he carried a couple of people in the
end zone on a nine yard touchdown run. You know,
he was really you know, I put it on his
highlight reel and he was really as his number one highlight,
he came off the edge and he really showed explosive
this quarterback pulled the ball down and was about ready

(12:54):
to scramble and reach just came out of nowhere. You know,
Reese is a great player. To way kid who's been
starting for us at linebacker since to been a freshman,
he's a great player. Can't say enough about it.

Speaker 1 (13:10):

Speaker 1 (15:04):
And we now rejoined the Fish mc deviit pregame show
with Marty Bowman and Fish mcdeviit head coach Jeff Wickter.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I thought another another name that stood out to me
a lot was Patrick Ray. I thought he had a
good game.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
Yeah, you know, Patrick, he finally got a chance to
really practice. You know, Patrick didn't move in from Minnesota
until really heat Acclamation. He had heat Acclamation and then
you know, for the Harrisburg game. He was sick all week,

(15:37):
so it didn't take reps and we had him playing
kind of like an outside linebacker, you know, where he
was playing safety before he came him on the field
a little bit more. And you know, he made some
real good plays in a Harrisburg game, but he made
some things where he didn't really know what he was doing. Unfortunately.
You know, he made great play on a bubble, but

(15:58):
he sprained his own ankle, so he missed the Chambersburg game,
came back for Cedar Cliff, but because of the ankle,
he really didn't practice at all that week. So this
past week, you know, against Carlisle, he his ankle was
healthy enough and that he could practice, and uh, you know,

(16:21):
he did have a good game.

Speaker 9 (16:22):
He touched on us a little bit. Rob Pglice wanted
me to ask this one.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
So halfway through the season, what do you really need
to focus and polish up on to achieve the automate call?

Speaker 9 (16:33):
Uh, you know, just technique all around.

Speaker 10 (16:37):
You know, I think the offensive line is getting better,
but you know, technique and just you know, starting to
understand it a little bit more.

Speaker 9 (16:47):
You know, a quarterback we got you know, both the kids, we.

Speaker 10 (16:50):
Have you polish up on their on their fundamentals, their
mechanics are throwing the ball, just polishing up the whole
pass game, making sure we're running the routes the right depth,
making sure the quarterbacks are hitting their back foot and
getting the ball off on time.

Speaker 9 (17:11):
You know.

Speaker 10 (17:11):
Defensively, I still think and you know I harp on it.
We tip our blitzes too much, you know. And still
we're playing better in the second area. But I'd like
to see us playing a little bit better technique. So
there's plenty of us to get better at. But you know,
the good thing is, you know we're getting better each
week and hopefully you know we'll need it for tonight.

(17:32):
Is how to you know, play better? We need to
get better for.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
This game focus wise, this would see because I don't
know how much the guys remember from last year. And
we'll talk about Altun in a second if we could please.
But Altuna gave us away all the game last year,
almost beat us. And so the guys have CD and CDs,
and I know the guys look and they got friends.
We're not so friendly friends at those two schools want

(18:00):
hard to focus on tonight.

Speaker 9 (18:02):
Uh, you know, they remember BLUs. I reminded him every
day of this week. So we know we're in for
a dog fight.

Speaker 10 (18:10):
And uh, you know, we can't afford another loss, you know,
so we need to we need to come out and
win the game, find a way to win the game tonight.
And you know they know that.

Speaker 9 (18:20):
You know, it's a.

Speaker 10 (18:21):
Hard offense, hard defense to go against. Uh, you know,
we need to win the game, so they know.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah, and Marty did not mean to skip coming in
the valley that's in there before the two road and CDs.
I mean, because that's that's a local I know that
they would focus.

Speaker 9 (18:36):
We have some big games coming up. Absolutely, so let's
talk about AU tonight.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
What do you see when you got the quarterbacks going?

Speaker 9 (18:43):
Probably thankful for.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
That because he was a tough kid to tackle.

Speaker 9 (18:47):
But what do you see tonight?

Speaker 10 (18:48):
Well, you're really he was a tough kid to tackle.
But also I didn't realize until you know, I forgot
about Uh. I went back this week and watched the
game last year and their quarterback number twelve last year.

Speaker 9 (19:05):
He's a pretty good linebacker. You know, he blitzed a lot.

Speaker 10 (19:10):
You know, we should add a screen tailback screen for
a touchdown, and you.

Speaker 9 (19:17):
Know, we made a mistake.

Speaker 10 (19:17):
He blitz and not just chipping him and he got
right in Stones face and so you know it was
an incomplete screen.

Speaker 9 (19:24):
So but he was a good linebacker.

Speaker 10 (19:28):
Offensively, they're still running Beer, still running that Navy offense
with double wing at times, but they'll get under center
of it. You know, the quarterback is a good runner.
He's not as physical, near as physical as the other
kid last year, but he they run it from the shotgun.
They run Beer from the shotgun. He's got some good
receivers and he throws the ball better than the quarterback

(19:51):
last year. So they're throwing the ball more, which makes
them even hum for to defend. So you know, it's
it's a challenge for our defense. And then offensively they
switch from a four may in front to a three stack. Now,

(20:12):
fortunately for us is this is the third week, got
four weeks that we faced it, so hopefully, you know,
but they do a couple of different things. They stunt
blitz a lot, and they do a little bit more
in the secondary with some of the other teams that
have done with it. They're not easy to throw the

(20:34):
ball against, especially when they get you and third and long,
they drop eight people. It's not easy to throw the
football into so you know, plus we have that long
bus ride out, you know what that's like, and so
you know we'll have our hands full tonight.

Speaker 9 (20:50):
We got to come out and play. Just a non
football question.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Do you guys stop and get pack lunches a long
way or do you pack lunch and when you get
there or what do you know?

Speaker 10 (21:02):
For a regular season game like this where we were
in school, our guys will get out early. You know,
they'll eat to school lunch. There's a couple of kids
that have last lunch period that you know, we'll write
past us that we wrote passes.

Speaker 9 (21:16):
For to eat earlier. We're going to have a you know.

Speaker 10 (21:21):
We'll have our team rosary at eleven at twelve forty five,
and then we'll do a walk through here before we
leave mcdebit.

Speaker 9 (21:28):
But we'll be two o'clock. We'll be on the road.
And you know, our our parents were great. They feed
our kids before the game.

Speaker 10 (21:35):
So our parents will have a bag lunch for the
kids to eat on the bus and then after the game.

Speaker 9 (21:41):
I think they have some pizza coming for the players.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Sounds great. Let's let's put some fun bus right home,
I hope.

Time for a Green Spring Advisors winning game plan. Guys again,
I think it's pretty simple tonight. You want to put

put the put out Tuna to bed early. I think
you just want to jump off to a quick start
as they did last year, but keep the foot on

(23:45):
the gas and take care of business here quickly.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Leave no doubt.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah you do. It's a very festive, it's youth night
here and it's very emphasized. It is a very festive atmosphere,
actually real exciting here to get this game started.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, I mean, I think to me, the key to
the game is just mcdebit defense. To set the tone
and keep out tune to behind the chains, you know,
keep them in second and long, third and long. And
if that happens, altune is really not going to be
able to move to football.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
All right, we have one more break in our pregame show.
Let's take it. You're listening to the bishoon mcdebit football here

gold numbers, blue pants with the gold stripes down the side.
For the Altuna Mountain Lions, they come out in the
maroon red jerseys there with the white numbers, the maroon
pants and the white helmets. So we'll take our final

It's now time for kickoff.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
They have done it two out of the last three years.
The Crusaders pour out onto the field.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
They're the twenty twenty four YEA five EY State champions.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
Cruz Sader Football is brought to you by Constellation Energy,
Tim Decker of Green Spring Advisors and Select Physical Therapy. Now,
let's head out to the field with your game announcers
Art Selby, Rob Puglie and Marty Bowman.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium. Here now Tuna,
Art Selby, Marty Bowman, Rob gleasey Eli Fessler back in
the Fox Sports fourteen sixty studios. Guys, I do have
to mention November twenty ninth, twenty twenty four, last time
we were here, Bishop mcdebitt defeated Pine Richland to advance
to the state championship. It was a row happy night.
Swoops of over two hundred yards rushing. Stone Saunders in

(28:44):
that game had three touchdown passes and mcdebitt was on
their way to their third state championship. Quite a happy night. Tonight.
We're on the opposite side of the field in the
visitor's press box and getting ready for Bishop mcdebitt and
now Tuna. Looks like the Crusaders will kick off to
the Mountain Lions. Grella will kick off going right to
left from the visitors side here at Mansion Park Stadium.

(29:06):
Two men back deep for the Mountain Lions. It's like
geist Hauser's back deep back there, and this one will
go sailing way out of the back of the end zone.
That was one of his best kicks the entire year.
I think, Rob is that one went flying out of there.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
You know, Rob just brought it up so well about
the defense keeping out Tuna behind the chains and everything,
and Robert, it just brings up the whole idea because
they ran so much last year. Get off the field
on third down. Get off the field so your defense
can rest.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
You had two hundred and eighty nine yards on the
ground last year. I cannot remember the last time somebody
ran for that amount of yardage against Bishop McDevitt. I mean,
I can't even venture a guess. Guys ALR.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Parker White will lead the Mountain Lion offense onto the field.
They're all maroon uniforms with the white helmets like devid
as we mentioned, the white jerseys, gold numbers, blue paint
answer with the gold stripes and of course the gold helmets.
As always back to pass, there's a little screen pass
to the outside. Mcdebit defends it well. Maurice Barnes was

(30:09):
out there to clean that up. If they did complete it,
by the thing, complete be second and ten for the
Mountain Lions.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
I thought they had the screen set up nicely. Quarterback
just really did not get it there. But I don't
know if he would win anywhere at Alcus Barnes was
right there, but he just didn't get the ball to
the receiver.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, I think mcdebit had it sniffed out from the
get go, Marty, and that's the thing he hesitated because
it didn't appear that it was open for.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Him coming out on the near side. His wide receiver
Baker at here. They'll bring a man in motion and
the quarterback will keep it this time, takes it up
the middle, and Maurice Barnes, I believe, again in there
on the tackle this time, so it'll be third down
and long for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
In the last two weeks, Maurice Barnes has made his
presence felt all night long. He's in on the very
first two plays here tonight.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
I believe that ties him. Now if Lucas Lawler with
two hundred and seventeen tackles on the all time of debit.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
List, yeah's top ten all time and moving on up
for Barns and guys, just want to point out mcdebit
showing a different front here tonight, more of a three
to four Patrick Wright number twenty one playing an outside
linebacker spot with Zach Brown, Maury Sparnes and RJ. Duffy.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Wait to wait to snap. He's got two wet outs
to the far side. One goes in motion. Now Waight's
kind of scrambled towards the near side of the field
and he will just throw this thing out of bounds.
Actually it's tighten bounds somehow, and it's complete up here
at a number of four. Chisholm, I thought he was
just unloading that thing out of bounds and they complete
the pass.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Chisholm came from the f far side, and as you said,
it was just a floater, the kind of thing you
normally threw out of bounds. And Chishom saved the days
for the Mountain Lions and with a diving catch.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Yeah, I mean, I think he was just trying to
heave that thing and let it go as Campbell Milch
was in his face. But some good fortune for the
Mountain Lion.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Early Mountain Lions were three wide outs to the far side,
and they will hand this one off up the middle
of Mcdeviit's defense is ready for it this time as
they get in there and make the stop. And I
think Zach Brown was in there in the tackle for
the Crusaders.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Zach Brown and big Jakai Logan, all three hundred pounds
of him. We're on top of Hazel.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Would well give me a yard.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
It'll be second and nine from the thirty nine, ten
twenty left to play. First quarter, just getting started here
at Mansion Park Stadium, Art Selby, Marty Boom and Rob
mglice and el F Fessler flying the plane back in
Harrisburg Forest tonight.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Zach Brown and Brown and to Relph Dennis coming off
the edge for the Crusaders from those.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
D N spots mcdeviit threatens the blitz and waite. We'll
pitch this one to the outside out here and a
nice run for the Mountain Lions. It's number eighteen Chathams.
The penalty flag comes flying in here at around the
forty four.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Ja Kai Logan really having to pursue downfield, making a
tackle well downfield after they got the edge there. Crusaders
not able to seal that off. And I'm not sure
what they're talking about. It was thrown in the area
of the ball carrier, but there was definitely not a
face mask.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
No, And that's yeah, I felt the same way.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
It was.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Worst collar tackle.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
I haven't really seen that called the last few years.
I honestly didn't even know if that was still a thing.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
I was just gonna ask you guys, because the only
thing it could have been was that from my vannage point. Yeah,
and I saw the collar and the grab and I thought,
is that still well it is?

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Yeah, I didn't know that it was.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Yeah, I mean, if that's the case, yeah, I saw
a horse collar there.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
So to be first down in ten. Altuna at the
mcdevid thirty four, nine forty left to play first quarter,
opening drive of the game for the Mountain Lions. As
they go left and right from the visitors press box
side of things, here waits to snap, they'll bring a
man in motion. Here is a quick pass to the
outside out there to Pisati and mcdebitt tackles him down

(34:09):
at around the thirty one yard line. So they'll pick
up a couple on that one, right. Actually that was Hazelwood.
They have two number three's on their huster. Sorry about that.
Hazelwood is a big game last year against mcdebit.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Nice pursuit there. It looked like hazel Wood had more room.
But Patrick right, who we've mentioned a couple of times,
number twenty one that's playing kind of an outside linebacker
safety hybrid spot came up and made the play.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Two white outs to the near side for Altuna on
the second down and eight. Wait awaits to snap and
they'll run this one directly up the middle of this
time gets inside the thirty down to about the twenty
eight yard line. So we have a third manageable coming
up here against mcdebit and you'd have to think this
is a two down tiers.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
We're here for the Mountain longs.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
I'll tune of putting together exactly what they would want
to do as a nice first drive, running some clock off,
keeping mcdebitt's offense off the field.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, I mean hearkening back to what you said pregame, Marty,
you know, getting off the field on third down, and
that kind of wounded duck pass he threw up kept
the things going, and now they have something cooking.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Two white outs to the near side. Way he takes
the snap, he's gonna keep it. He'll pitch it to
the opposite side of the field and mcdevit defends it
well this time. I don't think they picked up really
anything on that one might have lost to ord.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Yeah, mcdebittt really brought the house there and had every
possible angle covered. Duffy and Barnes looked like.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
They tried to get the defense to bite that they
were going to the right side, and then just that
quick pass back to the backside. That mcdevit covered it
well booth ways, and now they face a fourth and
five at the mcdeva twenty nine. Obviously a big play here,
guys early on chance to get off the field for
the mcdebit defense, we'll.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Bring a man in motion.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
White is gonna pitch it to the outside out here
and mcdebit gets in.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
The backfield and makes the tackle.

Speaker 11 (36:13):
R J.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Duffy was back there, I look like I think Reinhart
was back there as well for MCDEVI.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Rein Hardt and I really felt Robin you probably did too,
that they would go with the pitch on fourth down.
Mcdebitt read it perfectly.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Yeah, it was tylerron Hard. It was Campbell Milch coming up,
putting a lot of heat and deck in the quarterback
just as he pitched it, and Tyler Reinhart just came
in flying with a real physical tackle for a two
yard loss.

Speaker 17 (36:39):
One.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
That was the tailback, I believe.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
So the Crusaders offense will now take over, going right
to left from the visitor side of things. First possession
of the night, seven eighteen left to play, first quarter,
no score in the game, two White outs to the
far side one of the near and they will hand
this one off up the middle and Altuna defends it
pretty well. Crusaders pick up a couple. I think that
was Swoops trying to see as a take the pal

(37:05):
out there.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
Yeah, yes, it was Ooops.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
So he gets three on that one. Guys will be
second and seven from the thirty four. It's like John
take quick. We'll check back into the game. Good to
see him back on the field again tonight.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Yeah. He has a rap and some sort of a
brace on that right angle, so it'll be interesting to
see how much he can do and what he looks
like out there.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
He's out there with a gauge on the far side.
Holton Junior in the near side, Dawson goes in motion
to give.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
It to Swoops.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Swoops tries the right side and he's got a first
down in more showed some speed and power on that run.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Guys pick up of eight for Swoops, and as you said, Art,
there's a good hole on that right side. Cut it
back up a little bit to the inside, able to
pick up eight.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Swoops will check out and they'll bring in LaRue Jr.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
And Coach Wector referred to that offensive line pregame. They've
been getting better and better every week. Aiden miktitch landon
Colbert chewed slover to Kai Logan and Andre main of
the sophomore just really really opening some nice holes for
these running backs.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Sebastian waits to snap, He's got two white outs to
the near side.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
Here's a quick.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Pitch to the outside and Laruee tackled back at the
thirty four yard line by number nine Geishuser. Big gloss
for mcdevin on that one, guys.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Yeah, perfect call by the defense defensive staff there for
altoon a calling that blitz. They ran the pitch right
into it. Crusaders weren't able to pick that up and Geisauser,
who's one of their who's their third leading tackler with
forty stops coming in makes the play.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Crusaders. I'm sorry. Crusaders brought Zach Brown in on that
play for blocking and he sealed the edge, but it
just never got there.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Second and sixteen for mcdeviit and now a flag comes
flying and it looks like from the far side of
the field, false start mcdevid. It'll be second and twenty
one back at the thirty one yard line. This is
definitely the kind of game out tun and wanted it
to be so far as halfway through the first quarter,

(39:23):
no score in the game, and mcdeviitt moving back here
a little bit. Two white outs to the far side,
one of the near. Sebastian back to pass, fires one
of the outside. This one's complete. The Gauge Ruth out there,
takes it up over the forty five yard line and
finally tackled out of allens at around the forty six.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Yeah, a nice route by Gauge. They're coming back. Sebastian,
plenty of time to step in and deliver to the
throw on the money and Gauge turning it up, picking
up five more yards, so very manageable here after you know,
second and twenty one. Now you're looking at like a
third and seven.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
We'll just shy of the forty five yard line. Four
to twenty five left to play. First quarter, no score
in the game. Holton Junior on the far side from mcdebitt,
two wide receivers on the near side. Sebastian waits to snap,
he will fire one of the outside out here. It's
complete to the first down to Johntay and he spun

(40:22):
out of bounds that around the thirty five yard line,
first down and ten bision.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Mcdebitt.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
That was an RPO, guys, something that really mcdebit. Stone
Saunders was an absolute maestro, won those RPOs last year
and Sebastian executing it perfectly there, tossing it out to
Johntay and he turned it up and picked up fifteen yards.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
John Tay quick and Roof go out on the far
side for Bishop mcdebitt. Holton Junior is on the near
side and they'll hand this one off to Maurice Barnes
and Maurice takes it down to the already one got
four to be second and six for mcdebitt.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Just a quick hitter there by Barnes and able to
get four before he goes down.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah, we'll take a time out here. Mcdebitt on the
move here zero zero three fifty seven left to play
here in the first quarter. You're listening to Vision mcdebit

And that's the Crusader's h left offensive tackle Andre Maina,
the sophomore number fifty five, who's really been coming into
his own here and not a great sign. He's not
really able to put any weight on that leg as
he's being helped off by Maurice Barnes and one of

(42:53):
the coaches, and Andre's you know, like I said, obviously
your left tackle was obviously key and six six, two
hundred and thirty pounds sophomore so Eli number seventy seven
Eli Culpepper sixty five pounds junior is in the game
for him.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Now second and seven for mcdebit. From the thirty two
they fake to hand off a pass over the middle
is complete inside the twenty down to the thirteen yard line,
and that was to gage.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Roof another another RPO there with the fake carried out
by Sebastian and on the money, nineteen yards.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
Three and a half minutes left to play. First quarter,
no score in the game. Crusaders on the move a
first and ten at to thirteen. Johntay Engage go out
on the far side. Looks like swoops wines up in
the backfield to the right of Sebastian Williams. So hand
us went off to swoop swoops to the left side
and he will take it in for the Bishop Mcdeviit
touchdown as he tiptoes around the corner and the Crusaders

(43:54):
go up six nothing with three fifteen left to play.
Here in the first quarter a thirteen yard run by
Nazir Jones Davis.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
And a nice job. We just talked about the new
left tackle coming in there, Eli Culpepper. He did a
great job there with a pancake block, just opening a
big hole there for swoops.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
And you mentioned he had come in for Mana. You
mentioned about how he's really coming along Mana. The coaching
seeff really excited about what they're seeing out of him.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Grella on to attempt the extra point here with three
fifteen left to play in the first quarter. Kick is
up and it is good. So the Crusaders go up
seven nothing, three to fifteen left to play here in
the first quarter. Take another break. You're listening to Fish

The game everyone circles on the schedule. This is Bishop
mcdebit football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Now.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
Dear Jones Davis with a thirteen yard touchdown run has
put Fish mcdebbit up seven to nothing over Altoona, three
fifteen left to play here in the first quarter at
Mansion Park Stadium, Art Selby, Artie Bowman, Rob Hoglice and
Eli Fessler back in Harrisburg producing for ut tonight. Crusaders
will kick off going right to left from the visitors

(45:42):
side press box here at Mansion Park Stadium. Obviously a
beautiful facility here and quite a festive atmosphere here tonight
is just a great night for football here in late September.
Here's the kickoff by Grilla and another booming kick this one.
We'll go into the end zone for another touchback soon

(46:06):
as here Jones Davis, it's that thirteen yarder, just a
nice run to the left side and tiptoed around the
corner into the end zone and the Crusaders now can
play from ahead here and Altuna still over in the

(46:27):
far sideline. Talking things over, you mentioned Altuna with the
maroon jerseys. Which we'll never forget is McDevitt played a
playoff game here against Central Valley and the Crusaders had
to wear Altuna's jerseys the first half of the game.

(46:49):
Under center's wait, they'll bring a man in motion and
weight will come out to the near side. Fires went
over in the middle of the phil it's intercepted. You
can see that one coming, and I think Ryan Hart
picked that one off for mcdebitt around the thirty five
yard line, takes it to the thirty one.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Art you said you could see it coming. Ryan hartsar coming.
He timed it perfectly.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
It's one of those throws that quarterback when they come
across the field and throw it back over the middle
like that. It's dangerous. And Tyler a smart player he
is just waited on it, baited him into the throw
and picked it off and mcdebitt up seven nothing now
will take over three zero six left to play in
the first quarter. If that's seven nothing leads.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
Important for the Crusaders to make it hurt, you know,
especially as fired up as oltoon who's been here tonight
and you take the whole pass and everything into it
important to make for the Crusaders to really really make
that one.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
Hurt swoops in the backfield to the ratest Abastian Williams
two white outs to the far side. Sebastian's gonna fire
one of the outside. This is complete the John tay
and he takes it inside the twenty down to the nineteen.
That'll be a first down.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Visia mcdebitt, Johnte Quick just beat his man on that
arrow route and Sebastian Williams put it right there for
a first down. For Bishop mcdebitt's sake.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Did Crusaders have Ish Palmer in there? As John Tabill
check out? Crusaders break cuddle. Gage Ruth comes out on
the near side out here. Crusader's actually three wide outs
on the near side out here. Zach Brown is out
there as well with Fish Palmer and Gage Ruth. Sebastian

(48:39):
waits a snap and now he's gonna run it himself,
takes it to the outside and then it's He was
spun down, but I think he managed to keep his
knee from touching the ground.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
Yeah, he really did. That was quite an athletic play
by Sebastian and.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
He got down to about the seventeen yard line guy,
so he picked up a.

Speaker 4 (48:59):
Couple on that one.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
So the Crusaders now Swoops is going to come back
into the game along with Jack Dawson and Holton Jr.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
And we're seeing Zach Brown at that slot as a
wide out.

Speaker 1 (49:22):
Gage Roof goes out on the far side as a
wide receiver for Bishop mcdebitt, Howard Holton Jr. On the
near side, and I think mcdebitt will take a time out.
We'll keep we'll keep things here with two ten left
to play here in the first quarter, mcdebit up seven
to nothing. Bishom mcdebit. Football is brought to you by

The sec ROB. I have to think that was a
personnel timeout. They run so many sets, so many formations,
and they just did not have the right personnel on there.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
No, I think you're spot on, Marty, and I just
wanted to mention too. As we're looking down at the
bench area, Andre Maine, the trainer is putting a bag
of ice on that. It looks appears to be his ankle,
so we have to assume he will not be back tonight.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Two ten left to play in the first mcdevid up
seven nothing.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
We'll always at.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
The seventeen yard line. Dawson in there blocking back, though
Hannes went off to swoops swoop kind stuff. Dives forward
to about the eleven yard.

Speaker 3 (51:11):
As when I was talking about Andre Mayne, he he
actually he actually is there the right tackle. I had
said left tackle, but Aiden mctitch is the left tackle
and he's also having a heck of a year.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
Gage Rusk goes out, there's a light out over in
the foreside, all by himself. For Bishop mcdebitt power eye formation.
They give this one the LaRue and LaRue is spun
backwards in the backfield for a loss. I think that
was Hazelwood in there on the tackle for the Mountain Lions.

(51:51):
So that'll be a loss for mcdebitt. They'll say a
loss of two. It'll be second down and twelve back
at the fourteen yard line. Clock ticks down, about a
minute left to play in the first quarter. Mcdebit up
seven nothing here at Mansion Park Stadium over Altoona. John
Tate could engage Ruth out in the far side, Holton

(52:12):
Juniors on the near side.

Speaker 4 (52:15):
They fake the handoff.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
Here's a pass over the middle to Holton Junior for
a touchdown fourteen yards and the Crusaders go up thirteen
to nothing with fifty three seconds left here in the
first quarter.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
That was just a perfect post pattern. Holton Junior could
not have gotten off the line any faster. He was
shot out of a cannon there.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
Yeah, that RPO game is just Hammond and I you know,
Coach Wectter talked about getting the passing game going and
seems like they've really found something here tonight.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
Hunter Rathon to hold for mcdevid as Grella would kick
the extra point. The kick is up and it is good.
So Bish mcdebit is up fourteen to nothing with fifty
three seconds left to play here in the first quarter.
Vision mcdebit Football brought to you by Constellation, producing clean,

(53:07):
reliable energy and powering new opportunities for families and communities
across Central Pennsylvania. We bring the energy and stay tuned
for tonight's player the game in our post game show,
brought to you by Game Day Men's Health, defining a
new era in men's health. So, guys, this is what
you're looking for if you're Vision mcdebit.

Speaker 19 (53:25):
Now.

Speaker 1 (53:25):
They did have a fourteen point lead at the end
of the first quarter last year against Dat tune at
twenty one to seven. But tonight, hopefully they'll put their
foot on, keep their foot on the gas and put
this game away.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Good read there by Sebastian Williams to see that that
was a single coverage and if there was a safety
that was supposed to be there, he didn't have a
chance to get there.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Yeah, I mean, perfect execution, great job to buy the
offensive line. Sebastian looks really comfortable, looks really poised back
there and starting off five for seventy seven yards tonight.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
Yeah, he's been very sharp so far here tonight, just
a beautiful pass over the middle, right on the money,
So we'll give him a four. We'll go for a
fourteen yard touchdown reception on that one. I think that's
what that one was at mcdeviit's up fourteen to nothing.
Brella on to kick off here for bision mcdeviitt going

(54:24):
right to left from the visitors side of things here
at Mansion Park Stadium, and here's the kickoff.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
A high kick.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
This one will come down right at the one, it
looks like, and they do return this one back up
to about the sixteen yard line, it looks like, and
that's where they will set up shop. That was number three,
that was I think that was hazel Wood for the
Mountain Lions, and they will take over. With forty seven

(54:56):
seconds left in the first quarter, tround fourteen to nothing.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
Jack Dawson and Creighton Milch combining there on the stop.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
There come to Mountain Lions onto the field. They have
two white outs to the near side. Wait to wait
to snap to bring a man in motion. It's a
high snap and they will run this one up the
middle for no game.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
It doesn't really a matter there that high snap really
through the timing off for the Mountain Lions till QB
comes down and hands it off. There was nothing there. Ah,
they did pick up two on it.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
So we're down to twenty three seconds left to play
in the first quarter. Mcdebit up fourteen zip. We'll see
if they decide to run another play. I'm not sure
they're going to.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
It looks like they're gonna let her run out.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
It's like they I brought in a different quarterback too.
All right, that's going to end the first quarter. So
after one quarter of play here at Mansion Park Stadium, Vision,
mcdebit's up fourteen. Nothing over, Ol Tuona will take a break.

Paris Berg's elite high school football program. This is Bishop
mcdeviit football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium. Here in
now Tuna art Selby, Marty Bowman, Rob mclsee and Eli
Fssler back in the Fox Sports fourteen sixty studios. Mcdevid
up fourteen nothing Betwich ends of the field and now
Tuna will run this one up the middle and it
does appearly brought in a different quarterback. Looks like that

(57:54):
is number twelve. I'm gonna say that's Makhaith Jackson. A
little bit more mobile of a runner, it would appear.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
Maurice Barnes on the stop there for mcdebitt. But it
is a first down.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
So first down and ten Mountain Lions eleven and a
half minutes left to play here in the first half.
Now mcdebit up fourteen to nothing. Mountain Lions will send
two white outs to the far side. Jackson awaits the
snap and they were balls on the ground, and I
believe mcdebit came up with it. Now the ball came

(58:36):
out again, Crusaders wrestling Jackson back there for it.

Speaker 4 (58:40):
What are they going to rule here?

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Unfortunately, I think mcdebit should have recovered the ball. But
Chris Thompson, who was the person that could have secured
the ball, he did not really have control of it,
and Jackson came in under the pile and just stole it.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
So the ball spot had just shot the thirty yard line.
After all that, it's second down to nine for the
amount line.

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Opportunity for a big break there for the Crusaders, and
Rob described it perfectly there. Chris Thompson had it and
it was his to possess, but didn't control it and
the ball was squirming around there.

Speaker 3 (59:18):
She she he'd clemming in there at corner. Won the
series for mcdebitt.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
And Jackson will keep it himself as Time tries the
right side and he will be tackled down for a
loss back there to back it around the twenty seven
yard line.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
It looks like and Tyler Reinhart pursuit and would not
let him go.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
Rob Yeah, beautiful read from Tyler coming up from a
safety spot, and you're right, Marty, he wrapped him up,
didn't allow him to get free there on the edge,
and big, big loss to mcdebitt. Already with three tackles
for loss tonight.

Speaker 2 (59:56):
So after the opportunity of the fumble that gets, they
got an opportunity a third and eleven to get off
the field.

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Under ten minutes left to play in the half. Mcdevidup fourteen.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
Zip.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
It's third and twelve for the Mountain Lions from their
own twenty seven. They go right to left from the
visitor side of things here at Mansion Park Stadium. And
now it appears we'll have a time out Altoona. We'll
take one as well here nine to forty one left
to play first half, mcdevid up fourteen.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):

Speaker 5 (01:01:02):
Gold play right here on Fox Sports fourteen to sixteen.

Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
All right, welcome back to Manton Park Stadium here in Altoona,
where Bish mcdeviitt leads Altuna fourteen to nothing and Altuna
facing an important third down and twelve from its own
twenty seven yard line. Its Crusaders defense trying to get
off the field here and put that offense back on
the field. It has two touchdowns tonight, Nazir Jones Davis

(01:01:32):
with a rushing touchdown and Sebastian Williams hit Harold Holton
Junior for a touchdown as well two white outs to
the near side. They'll go back to their original quarterback.
Here's a little pass over the middle and the Mountain
Lions get a big play down the middle of the
field all the way to the forty eight yard line.
Is that is number five Wukovich. The tight end is

(01:01:55):
as we mentioned, they brought back in their quarterback, Parker White,
who started the game for them to night.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Well, they took the time out, they let clock run down,
then took it. They to me, it seems like they
definitely knew that they wanted to come up with something,
and they took their time and they came up with
the right call.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Just a short pass over the middle, and we saw
the speed there that time from their tight end.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Yeah, they took advantage. They expected blitz, they got blitz
and they took advantage of it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Two White outs to the far side. Wait, we'll hand
this thing off again to the left side and mcdeviicot's
in there. Maurice Barnes with a tackle on that one.
They picked up just a couple be second and eight
from the forty seven yard line for Altuna. Here come

(01:02:51):
the Mountlins onto the field. Chise them out here on
the near side as a wide out. It's like helling
on out here as well. Wait, we'll take the hand
off and this time mcdeviit's defense shuts this thing down quickly.

(01:03:13):
It looked like there might be a little running room
for the running back on that one, and the Crusaders
just shut it down.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
He rj Duffy coming up from his middle linebacker spot
to meet the ball carrier Clemens had on in Maurice Barnes,
once again having a monster night so far, racking up
a lot of tackles, but Stons.

Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
Getting from behind and just would not let go, and
he held him up long enough for rj Duffy to
get up there and nail him.

Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
So that makes a third down and six from the
forty five yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
McDavid's been doing a lot of blitzing tonight. Coach Wector
talked in your interview Mary about not tipping off the
blitzeres too much. But let's see what they dial up here.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
Parker waiting there and now it looks like Altoona is
going to take a time out here.

Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Yeah, they were running out of time on the play clock.

Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
All right, let's take another one as well. Mcdeviit of

Thanks for listening to Fishop mcdebit football. Now back to
the field.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
On third down, wait running for his life to the
far side and he's gonna run for a first down.
Shoved out of allens and around the thirty five yard
line or so on the far side, but it'll be
a first down for Altuna guys.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Yeah, they got away with one there a number fifty one.
Chris Thompson with a big rush up the middle and
was being held. You could see his jersey being pulled
away from him. I was seriously expecting a flag to
be thrown, but no flag, and Wait gets out and
gets the first down.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
All right, here come the Mountain Lions. First down in
ten to thirty five. One wide receiver in the far
side as well, Parker Waite awaits a snap, they'll bring
a man in motion again. Here's a handoff up the
middle and mcdebit defends it well this time.

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Not much there at all.

Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
If anything might have lost a hif yard, it'll be
second down and ten for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
Yeah, it's tough running so far from Isaac Clements tonight.
Not much going on for him. Four carries seven yards.

Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Mountain Lions.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Bray cuddle with two White outs to the near side,
one of the far one back in the backfield with wait,
wait back to pass. Here comes the pressure. White scrambles
to the right now he fires one that's complete down
to the twenty six again, guys, I told for a
second he was just gonna lob that one out of
bounds to get rid of it. And then he fires

(01:06:42):
a strike down the field and picks up nights yardage.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Wait is extending these plays with his legs and has
been very effective for the Mountain Lions to win at
thus far.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Yeah, he just alluded will Yost there who almost had
him for a sack, and like you said, just kinda
taking a play and making improvise and making something happen.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
It's to be third and two from the twenty seven
yard line of mcdebbitt.

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
You have to give him credit for staying very calm.
He stays very calm, and it's that rush.

Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
Wait again, wait to snap, and now penalty flags come
flying in.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
That's off side with mcdebbitt.

Speaker 1 (01:07:19):
It looked like the Crusaders were gonna threaten with the
blitz there, and that's what they do call. So it'll
be a first down and ten for al Tuna. I
want to say hi to our friends Brad and Nancy
and David the dog listening back in Harrisburg tonight. Nancy
Ryan of course, and we'll see her down at Wolfstock

(01:07:40):
on Sunday in downtown Harrisburg. Mountain Lions break cuddle, so
brand send one wide receiver to each side of the field.
Now they'll send two white outs to the far side
of the field, all sorts of confusion and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
Gonna be a penalty on ow toon. Oh they got
the time out in okay, so I thought I saw
the one referee motion and to back them up.

(01:09:14):
So first down and ten for the Mountain Lions at
the mcdebit twenty two. Gotten very quiet here all of
a sudden, Guys here at mentioned Bark Stadium with a
nice size crowd, Mountain Lions with two white outs to
the near side, one of the far they'll bring in

(01:09:35):
the man in motion and they do like a double reverse.
I'll fire one down the field and this one is
intercepted by Bishop mcdebit around the five yard line. What
a crazy play and the Crusaders come out of there
with the turnover.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Guys, Patrick Wright, number twenty one, the senior here safety
linebacker with quite an athletic play going way up in
the air to pull that football in.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
And he was one of two defenders and he was
not right there. There was another defender right there. But
the timing by Patrick Wright was fantastic, and as you said,
Robbie climbed the ladder to bring that ball down. That
is a huge defense he played for the Crusaders.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
He's got the right number one, like a Dion Sanders
type play on that one.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
That's exactly what it looked like.

Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
It's just a great play by that young man there.
Got to be happy for him.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
So the balls at the five yard line, there's all
sorts of motion there that time by the Mountain Lions.
So they tried to fol McDevitt and it did not work.
Fun looking play that was designed, but McDevitt's defense executed
more than their offense did. Crusaders now go left to

(01:10:47):
right from the whoops, Swoops powering his way up over
the ten yard line, gets up to about the thirteen
or so, maybe the fourteen, gain of eight or nine
for Bishop mcdebitt.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
Two tight end offense there rob by the Crusaders and
Jakai Logan really bulldoze and somebody there opening up a
big hole for Swoops.

Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
Balls at the fourteen second down and one two white
outs to the far side, one of the near that's
Holton Junior, and Crusaders will run it up the middle
again with Swoops gets a first down up to about
the seventeen yard line, so Crusaders pick up the first down.

(01:11:45):
Very nice scoreboard here at Mansion Park Stadium a lot
of cool graphics flashing up on the scoreboard. Here two
white outs to the far side from mcdebitt, Holton Junior,
the white out on the near side. Sebastian waits a snap.
Crusaders will run this one on the left side. This
is LaRue Junior, and he slips, I think, but it's
up to about the twenty one yard line. I think

(01:12:08):
they'll give him four second and six for vision. Mcdebitt
Marty signals five yards, so we'll give him five. So
he's second down in five to twenty two. As we
hit the four minute marks. Enough fun, well played game

(01:12:29):
here so far. Debit up fourteen to nothing. Mersaders break cuddle.
Gage Ruth is out here on the near side along
with Johntay. Sebastian awaits the snap as time fires one
of the outside and a perfectly thrown ball is complete

(01:12:50):
up here down the sideline.

Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
Go to the Crusaders.

Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
That's John take quick, He's got blockers and he will
take this one to the house seventy eight yards. Not
sure how he managed to stay in bounds after he
caught that one, but he did, and he had some
blocking and the Crusaders go up twenty to nothing with
three twenty five left to play.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Here in the first half, Marty had talked about in
free game, harkening back to some of the big play
bombs and plays downfield last year where he used to
and that was it right there. Johntay Quick just so slippery,
so elusive, just has a knack running those perfect routes,
finding those holes in the defense and somehow staying on

(01:13:29):
his feet on the sideline Marty and had a convoy
and it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Wasn't like he was on this side by himself. A
lot of defenders and receivers over here. Sebastian Williams threw
a perfect pass over the defender where Johntay Quick could
get it. Like you said, after that, he stayed on his.

Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
Feet, contract at home free the holder from mcdeviik Grella,
the kick, it's up and it's good. Crusaders are up
twenty one nothing. And as you said, Mari, I mean
you could not throw a ball any better than what
Sebastian did right there. And Johntay Quick with the highly
roll and the blocking for Bision McDevitt down the sideline.
I mean he had a convoy, guys, as they just

(01:14:07):
went down the sideline and cleared things out.

Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
And what I wanted to say, guys was Coach Wector
purposed the first three plays of that drive to run
the football, not do anything inside his ten yard line,
where he gets a quarterback, sack, a fumble, a pick,
got you running room. Took three plays to get it
out of there to the twenty two and then he

(01:14:30):
allowed Sebastian Williams to do his thing and along with
John take quick.

Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
So coming up later tonight and our postgame show, we
have our player of the game, brought to you by
Game Day Men's Health, defining a new era in men's health,
and some candidates early on here for who that player
might be here tonight Forrceader's up twenty one to nothing
now three twenty five left the play here in the
first half at Mansion Park Stadium, Art Selby, Marty Bowman,

(01:14:59):
Rob Aglice and the Fessler back in the studios.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
I will put it out there, gentlemen, that that was
the best pass of the year for Sebastian Williams. Thrown
over a defender from out in the middle of the
field all the way to the sideline. A perfect throw.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
Yeah, it just it landed like over the hand of
the defender's hand there just perfectly, and then Johntay and
his blockers did the rest from there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Actually had a three blocker escort down and neither one
nobody else was going to get to him.

Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
So Grella will now kick off going left to right
from the visitors side press box here at Mansion Park Stadium.
Two men back deep for the Mountain Lions. Here's the kick.
This one is returnable. It actually bounces at the sixth
and the Mountain Lions do pick this up and they
will run this one back to about the seventeen yard line.

(01:15:52):
I think that was Geisshauser for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 3 (01:15:57):
I think it was number ten Carlos Smith, the senior
safe in there on the stop.

Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
So to be first down and ten Mountain Lions from
their own seventeen as they go right to left. Rsader's
up twenty one to nothing. Now three twenty one left
to play here in the first half.

Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
Guys Sebastian William six for six four one hundred and
fifty five yards and two touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
Very impressive. Adding so far here Mounta Lions with two
white outs to the near side. One of the far
and White still in their quarterback. The'll hannas one off
up the middle, maybe a yard and that's about it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Campbell, Milch and RJ Duffy combining on the stop there.

Speaker 1 (01:16:55):
Hazel Wood in there running back for the Mountain Lions
on that one.

Speaker 4 (01:17:04):
Mountain Lions.

Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
They can't take too much time on this anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:17:09):
Yeah, playing the first half, and here is another handoff
up the middle. RJ Duffy though in there on the
tackle this time and spins down to defend or the
running back there.

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Great read on defense by RJ Duffy and just read
it perfectly. Then just pair hugged the ball carrier, would
not let him go.

Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
Now it looks like we're going to have another time
out here with two twenty nine left to play in
the first half. Here free streaming of tonight's game and
the Game of the Week are brought to you by

Guys, we talked preseason, come into the your people were
really excited about this linebacking core and they've they've really
lived up to the billing with Mauriceparnes, RJ. Duffy, Zach Brown,
and we've seen Campbell Mills merge over the last three
weeks or so. Is another big time playmaker.

Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
Third and five from the twenty two yard line for
the Mountain Lions. Wait back to pass. There comes a
pressure fires one of the outside. It's complete, but mcdebit
shuts it down instantly on the outside out here number
fourteen Campbell Miltrith.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
The tackle making me look smart. I drew that up
talking about Campbell emerging is a big time playmaker.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Yeah, he timed that perfect.

Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
Clock stops with two twenty four left to play in
the first half, as the Crusaders want to get this
ball back and try and go up twenty eight to nothing,
Bishop mcdebit football brought to by Tim Decker of Green

Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
I think you got to be aware of a fake here,
I really do. I mean it just was part of
the game with two minutes left in the first half
down twenty one. I'm not so sure that al Tuna
you know, really want you know, take a gamble here.

Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
Well, because yeah, the Crusaders have an opportunity with this
and then getting the second half kickoff to really throw
the knockout bloom already.

Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
You're right, Parker White standing back at his seven to
punt this Ish Palmer standing at his forty five and
weight does get this one off. It's a high punt.
Ish will go back fumbles the punt return, the tempt
does pick it up. He's got the thirty seven cuts outside,
he's got the forty and he'll be spun down back
at the thirty seven yard line. Good special teams coveraged

(01:20:45):
by the Mountain Lions there on that one, guys, it
was not.

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Very often is see mcdebitt take a It wasn't quite
a negative, but very little on the return.

Speaker 1 (01:20:56):
But coach Wector in some ways he's probably pleased that
mcdebit's offense will have the ball here for an opportunity
to drive down the field here and get some reps
in sixty three yards away from the end zone. Mcdebit
up twenty one nothing now with two to eight left
to play here in the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
To run the two minute offense without any timeout. So yeah,
good point.

Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
Art All right, Here come the Crusaders onto the field.
He'll come with three wide outs to the near side,
this time Sebastian all alone in the backfield, two waight
left to play. First half twenty one's at McDevitt. Sebastian
Williams back to pass. Fires went over the middle. This

(01:21:36):
one's complete to Gage. Roof tries to spin away from
the tackler and he'll be taken down over the forty
yard line. Held that ball out there a little bit
as he spun around that was able to hang on
to it his helmet.

Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Gage's helmet came off too, so he's gonna have to
come out of the game.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
Once again. It looked like Gage was very close to
the first down and try to get more spun it
back inside.

Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
They'll send three wide outs to the far side, this
time one of the near Sebastian Williams, back to pass,
and now they'll stop play here. Then in thirty six
left to play first half, Saders did have a second
and two.

Speaker 4 (01:22:20):
See what the I'll start.

Speaker 1 (01:22:25):
Mcdebit, I called that on the wide receiver John te
out on the far side.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Marty does mcdebit, I believe there's one time out remaining.
Correct the scoreboards not showing any No, mcdebit took one early.

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Right the personnel one and then this one here. No,
they took two in that last defensive stand.

Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
I think, okay, you're right, so that is it? Okay,
so no timeouts left.

Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
Holden Junior goes out as a wide out on the
far side. Now Maurice Barnes comes jogging off the field
here last minute, John take quick goes in motion from
the near side to the far and here's a quick
pass to the outside out there to Holden Junior and
he tries to escape the defenders but can't as he's
tackled down back at the thirty five yard line. Crusader's

(01:23:15):
got to move quickly here. Clock ticks down the fifty
five seconds left the first half and they have a
third and seven. Altuna's defense with a big play there.
It is Holden Junior tried to get those legs moving,
but just outnumbered on that one. Two white outs to
the near on a hand, this one off up the middle,

(01:23:41):
and that Mountain Lion defense gets in there and shuts
things down as they gave that one to Swoops. And
I think McDevitt now would just be happy to let
that clock tick off.

Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Yeah, when he ran it, nothing happened there. He knew
that he could just run the clock out here.

Speaker 1 (01:23:55):
So so Altuna has played a pretty good firstaff but
vision mcdebit just too much. The Crusader's up twenty one
to nothing. Here is a final seconds will take off
here Altuna retreats to the far side. Guys and mcdebitt
will be pleased with a twenty one nothing lead at

(01:24:15):
this point. So when we return, we have tonight's halftime show,
Crusaders up twenty one nothing over Altuna, and you're listening
to Visha mcdebits football here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty

Altuna where Bishop mcdebit's up twenty one and nothing over Altuna.
Quick scoring recap for you. Mcdebbit would score with three
fifteen left in the first quarter. Naje Seer Jones Davis
or swoops a thirteen yard run put Bishop mcdebit up
seven to nothing. Then Sebastian Williams with fifty three seconds
left after the RJ. Duffy interception. Actually is rein Hart

(01:28:22):
with the interception, Holton with the fourteen yard reception for
a touchdown made it fourteen nothing, Bishop mcdebbit, and then
one of the prettier plays we've seen all year is
Sebastian Williams a seventy eight yard touchdown pass to John
tay Quick. It was a beautifully thrown ball to the
outside and then a great blocking by Bishop mcdebbit down
the field as John tay took it seventy eight yards

(01:28:44):
to the house. With three twenty five left to play
in the first half of mcdebbit was up twenty one
to nothing, and then that's where it stands. Now will

in now Tuna, Art Selby, Rob mcgleise and Marty Bowman
dancing to a Sweet Caroline. Here in the press box
here tonight, and Little Neil Diamond playing Bisho mcdebbit twenty
one to nothing over the Mountain Lions. Guys, A good
first half for Bishop mcdebit. Want to finish this game
strong though, and put this game away here in the

(01:40:58):
third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:40:59):
Yeah, that I only want to see them continue to
move the ball. I want to see more points up
on the board and would love to get out of here,
you know, with like a forty two seven win. That
I would be impressive in my book.

Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
Yeah, I can't argue that at all. I'd be impressed
with that really just has nothing to do with anything,
but you know, I like to talk about that stuff.
Last week, the first quarter was the longest first quarter
I think I've ever experienced. Yep, this first half was
one of the shortest first half. That had a lot
to do with al Tuna letting the clock run a lot,

(01:41:35):
letting it run down and then taking timeouts and things
like that. Rob, I'm with you. I'd like to see mcdebitt,
you know, it would really be nice and we'll find
out here how good the kicker is for al Tuna.
I wouldn't mind seeing a house to house, you know,
eighty six yard kickoff for.

Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Thirty Hey, that works for me. Get it done in
all phases.

Speaker 1 (01:41:56):
Yeah, that'd be a great start for McDevitt here in
the third quarter. As we mentioned tonight, vision mcdeviitt gold helmets,
white jerseys with the gold numbers, blue pants, gold trim
down the side, and the Altuna Mountain Lions with the
maroon jerseys, rune pants with the white stripes, the white helmets.

(01:42:17):
Now we have a little Prince speak, some eighties music
going on here.

Speaker 4 (01:42:21):
Now it is there in the.

Speaker 3 (01:42:23):
Background, guys. One thing I want to mention Usman Kamara,
Crusader alum class of twenty sixteen, played safety, played some
linebacker here for the Crusaders. Now the director of player
development for the Oregon Ducks, who of course have the
big game at Penn State tomorrow night at Oregon is
staying in Altoona tonight. And I believe, I believe Uzi

(01:42:45):
Kamara was going to be at the game here tonight
to see the Crusaders play. So lots of exciting things
with him being one staff there at Oregon. And I
want to just give two quick shout outs to my
sister listening back home in Linglestown, My sister Lari, and
my buddy, my boy Joe Sullivan class of eighty, great
Crusader tight end back in the day under Bruce Evans.

(01:43:08):
He's listening to us tonight back home.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
Correct me? If I'm wrong. You guys have the memory.
Marty doesn't. But wasn't it Uzman Kamara who walked on
at West Virginia.

Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
Yes, and then we.

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
Saw like his second year maybe or that they awarded
him the scholarship. Yes, I remember seeing that film. It
was a great moment.

Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
Yeah, he had a I believe a block punt in
the big game for West Virginia in one of his
first couple of years. And you're right he did, and
he's he's worked his way up as a player personnel
guy and now now at Oregon. Of course, Jojo Heaton
also won staff at Texas A and M. And we've
talked before about Matt Johnson with what he's doing as

(01:43:47):
an offensive coordinator and now as a quarterbacks coach at
San Diego State. And they had a huge win last
week against the Cal Golden Bears. So lots of exciting
stuff for Crusader Nation.

Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
You know, you look down over the stats. Jones Davis
six for thirty eight, averaging over six yards a carry.
He's really been the ground game. Barnes has one for
three and LaRue has two carries, so it's really been
the twelve carries just sort of Sebastian minus five. So

(01:44:19):
but you look at it and it's really been Jones
Davis on the ground for the Crusaders.

Speaker 3 (01:44:24):
Yeah, and I think maybe that's a sign of maybe
him finally getting a little healthier, you know, getting that
ankle healthy.

Speaker 1 (01:44:31):
Chatham's on the kick off here for the Mountain Lions,
Ish Palmer back deep standing at his six yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
They'll kick this.

Speaker 1 (01:44:38):
One short and LaRue Junior fields it at the twenty
three and he will bring this one back up to
over the thirty. Fighting his way up the field, gets
to about the thirty four yard line, how tunase and
the ball came out.

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
And they signaled that it did, so.

Speaker 1 (01:44:54):
Al Tuna will take over and not to start. McDevitt
was looking for you.

Speaker 3 (01:44:57):
Yeah, that was such a strange play. Can't even pretend
to say I saw when the ball came out.

Speaker 1 (01:45:03):
There just a couldn't see it behind the mcdebit bench
here on the near sideline. But Mountain Lions take over
at the mcdebit thirty four yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
Safe to stay, not to start, we were looking for.

Speaker 1 (01:45:21):
Here come the mount Lions onto the field, trilling by
twenty one. Here as we start the third quarter, and
they will come back with their starting quarterback, Parker White.
He's got hazel Wood in the backfield to his left,
two white Outs to the far side. One of the
near Jathoms goes in motion. They dump one outside here

(01:45:42):
the hazel Wood, and hazel Wood has spun down on
the mcdebit sideline over here. Not much there, maybe a
yard and that's about it.

Speaker 3 (01:45:51):
Like rj Duffy closing that thing down real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
Coming could be as you said, Rob r j Duffy
with a nice job closing that down quick before he
could get any speed up at all.

Speaker 3 (01:46:07):
Yeah, I mean, once again al Tuna with a nice
play call anticipating Blitz throwing that quick screen. And the
difference this time was r j Duffy was there waiting
on it.

Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
Chatham's and chisholm out on the fore side is White
out weight under center and he will hand this thing
off and mcdebit shuts that thing down immediately. Hazel Wood
had nowhere to go on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
As you said, Wight under center, and I think Altuna
wanted to like maybe put him under center, get that
quick hand off and maybe you know, surprise to mcdebit front.
But it did not work.

Speaker 1 (01:46:44):
Yeah, al Tuna just not able to push that mcdebitt
defense to the side, and this year's game Crusaders just
stuffing things immediately.

Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
Jaki Logan is a force in there at defensive tackle.
I mean he's he's just a game wrecker.

Speaker 1 (01:47:00):
Bear out on the far side. Is a wide out there,
and Chisholm on the near side for the Mountain Lions
going in motion as hazel Wood. Now he lines up
as a wide out on the far side. Wait back
to pass. Here comes the pressure fires one back over
the middle. This one's complete to Wukovich, but he's immediately
tackled down and h well designed Playbate mcdeviit defended it well, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
And Maurice Barnes was there to cover Wukovich. But once
again Shakai Logan getting off a block at six three,
three hundred and coming back downfield to help Barnes and
bring him down after only a two three yard game.

Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
You see Barnes make the initial contact and you think,
wait a minute, that's Shakaile Logan back there. Yeah, coming
off the line like you said, really, uh, he is everywhere.

Speaker 1 (01:47:47):
So it's fourth down and seven for the Mountain Lions.
Two White out of the far side, Parker wait under center,
wait back to pass as time fires. This one down
the middle of the field, and this one goes sailing
out of the back of the end zone. Good coverage
by mcdevion and it's incomplete and the defense does the job.

(01:48:08):
After the turnover, they get the ball back for the
Crusaders offense.

Speaker 3 (01:48:13):
Yeah, nice job by the Mountain Lion offensive line that time.
Plenty of time for Parker White to step in to
that throw looking for Michael Chisholm deep, but Jamison Cromwell
coverage and they had great help there from Tyler Reinhart
to free safety. And absolutely no chance to complete that ball.

Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Now on the way it was thrown and the pattern
it was going to have to be caught over your head.
It was just really, like you said, no chance at
all because it's just very tough throw for him to complete.

Speaker 1 (01:48:43):
Had to absolutely be perfect, like a Russell Wilson pass
against the Dallas defense two weeks ago at the end
of the game. That's somehow the Cowboys managed to win,
all right. So here come the Crusaders now first and
ten from their own thirty one yard line. Two White
outs to the near side, one to the far. Sebastian
waits to snap. They bring LaRue Jr.

Speaker 4 (01:49:04):
In motion.

Speaker 1 (01:49:04):
Now the dump one quickly to the outside. He's got
the thirty nine yard line. Thought for a second he
might turn on the jets and take that one to
the house, but he's tackled from behind. So give him
the thirty nine yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:49:21):
Gain of eight.

Speaker 1 (01:49:26):
Second and two for Bishop mcdebit. Nine forty left to
play here in the third quarter, mcdebit up twenty one
to nothing. Gage Ruth goes out on the far side
for Bishop mcdebit as Harold Holton Junior on the near side.
John Tate quick also out on the far side. Out
there with Ruth. Sebastian will hand this one off up
the middle and that Swoops swoops up over the forty.

(01:49:50):
They'll give him the first down.

Speaker 3 (01:49:53):
Yeah, Altuna was sending a blitz there a linebacker and
I believe it was the safety guy's house or cou
and off the bottom, and Swoops just eluded him and
got his pat square and got up field for four
yards and that's all they needed.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
Falls at the forty three yard line, Mersaders break huddle.
It's like Gage Ruth out here on the near side
along with John take quick Holden Junior goes out on
the far side, this time Jack Dawson in there to
the right of Sebastian. They faked the handoff pass over
the middle and just a little bit behind. Gage almost

(01:50:31):
came down with it, and I'm sure he'd probably tell
you should have caught it.

Speaker 4 (01:50:34):
But it's incomplete.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
First in completion for Sebastian Williams after nine straight YEP completions.
It would have been a tough catch. It was just
as you said, a little bit behind on the shoulder.
Nice look up with that play action by the Crusaders.

Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
Second and ten from the forty three, two white outs
to the near side, one of the far Maurice Barnes
in there. Now they fake the hand off the Maurice
quick pass after John Tay he's got the forty five
and still going, gets down inside the forty down to
the thirty eight first down. Bisho mcdebit game of about nineteen.

Speaker 3 (01:51:16):
Yeah, a nice job breaking a tackle there and he
got a good block down field. I think that was
Gage Ruth that gave another block to spring him for
about five more yards.

Speaker 1 (01:51:30):
Maurice Barnes comes there with a sideline for a second,
goes back to the huddle now, so he'll stay in
the game. For Bishop mcdebit, I'll come with two whiteouts
to the near side. It's like Ish Palmer is in
there along with Gage Ruth and they'll hand this one off,
this time to Maurice Barnes. Takes it down to the

(01:51:50):
thirty one yard line. Got about seven.

Speaker 3 (01:51:55):
Guys, I want to mention as this offensive line goes
to work, what we see here now in the second half,
the right offensive tackle position with Andrey Mayna out of
the game with the ankle. We saw Eli Culpepper the
junior get some series, but now you've got Chris Thompson,
number fifty one playing right offensive tackle here on this.

Speaker 4 (01:52:15):
Series, second and three for the Crusaders.

Speaker 1 (01:52:18):
Here's another run to the near side and that's LaRue Junior,
and he spittings his way close to the first down.
I think they're gonna give it to him.

Speaker 2 (01:52:29):
Just got enough one that Eric.

Speaker 1 (01:52:34):
And they'll spot it right on the twenty nine yard line.
So first down in ten.

Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
Bishop mcdebitt, guys of play calling has been superb.

Speaker 3 (01:52:44):
Yeah, yeah, great mix for sure, exactly mixing it.

Speaker 1 (01:52:47):
Up Ish Palmer and Gage Ruth out on the far
side for Bishop mcdebitt. One back in the backfield, that's
LaRue Junior takes it to the opposite side of the
field and will not escape out to this time. Is
Lukovic is in there on the tackle for a loss.

Speaker 3 (01:53:08):
Yeah, Rome is looking to get everything, bounce everything outside
and that's where he's gotten himself into some trouble tonight.
Five carries for minus three yards.

Speaker 1 (01:53:19):
So it'll be second and thirteen for Bision. Mcdebit back
at the thirty two yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:53:25):
Double tight ends now because they they bring Campbell Milch
into the game number fourteen. So you got Fuller at
the bottom of the formation in Campbell Milch as the
second tight.

Speaker 1 (01:53:37):
End, John Tait and Gage you're out here on the
near side as the wideouts. Sebastian back to pass has
plenty of time fires one of the outside tried to
hit Fuller over here in the near sideline and it's incomplete.
So mcdebit now, if at third down and thirteen balls

(01:54:01):
on the thirty two yard line, they went with the.

Speaker 2 (01:54:03):
Two tight ends. As you said, Rob didn't have a
lot of options downfield. Sebastian extended to play a little
bit with his feet, but just couldn't hook up on
the sideline.

Speaker 1 (01:54:15):
Holton Junior the llun wide out on the near side.
Mcdevin will send three to the far one back in
the backfield with Sebastian. A tuna threatens the blitz. Sebastian's
gonna keep it himself. Takes it up the middle, inside
the twenty five and down to the twenty one. Almost
got the first down. They'll be short by out a yard.

Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
I think, yeah, I love that design run that little hesitation.
I don't know that I quite call it a quarterback draw.
It's sort of a quarterback counter. I think Marty and
Sebastian seems to really have a knack and picked up
eleven on that.

Speaker 1 (01:54:48):
The Crusaders are going to try a field goal here,
So this will be about a thirty eight yarder or
rob I know you had mentioned he had a fifty
seven yarder in warmups tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:54:58):
Yeah, Grella's leg is that's just unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (01:55:01):
Kunterref the holder for Bishop mcdebbitt. So here we go
with the thirty eight yard field goal. Plenty a leg
and the kick is good, so the Crusaders go up
twenty four to nothing, five seventeen left to play in.

Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
A third quarter. Will take a break.

Speaker 1 (01:55:26):

The twenty twenty four five A State champs played right
year on Fox Sports fourteen sixteen.

Speaker 4 (01:56:08):
Happy Week. All right, Adenbrella is thirty eight yard field goal.

Speaker 1 (01:56:14):
Let's put Chrisha mcdevid up twenty four to nothing with
five seventeen left to play in the third quarter. And
it's always great to see your field goal kickers go
out and kick a long one.

Speaker 4 (01:56:24):
At the high school level.

Speaker 2 (01:56:25):
I think it's safe to say that had a good
fifteen yards plus on it would have been good for fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:56:31):
Plus easily, easily. And I think you guys are how
as you to get Aiden Grella an opportunity here in
game action. And you know we've seen him and warm
ups hit him all all year from forty five to
fifty plus. But let's see him do it in live action. Man,
he just crushed at.

Speaker 2 (01:56:50):
Yeah, you run your quarterback, get on the quarterback draw.
It's design play. If he gets it, he gets it.
If he doesn't, you're kicking the field goal.

Speaker 1 (01:56:58):
Two men back deep for the Lions. Here's the kick,
and this one will be returnable. They catch it at
the two, they'll bring it back to the ten to
the fifteen, and mcdebit, with great special teams coverage shuts
it down at around the seventeen yard line or so.
That was number nine geis Hauser again for the mounta

(01:57:18):
Lions on that kickoff return.

Speaker 3 (01:57:21):
Yeah, I see Carlos Smith, the senior safety in Creighton
Milch the sophomore defensive end, both in there among the
host of white shirts. Great coverage.

Speaker 1 (01:57:32):
As you said, here come the mount Lions onto the field.
Mcdebit up twenty four to nothing. Now you're at Mansion
Park Stadium in Altoona. They'll come with two wide receivers
to each side of the field, one back in the
backfield with quarterback Parker White.

Speaker 4 (01:57:51):
White back to pass.

Speaker 1 (01:57:52):
There comes a pressure running for his life and he
will this time he just dumps one to the outside
out there and incomplete. I have to watch it every time.
I think he's just thrown it away, fires it back
to the middle of the field for unproductive play. But
that time mcdebit got to him and forced him to
throw it away.

Speaker 3 (01:58:11):
Yeah, he was running for his life there. And there
were so many defensive players and on that I can't
even begin to single out who was primarily responsible for
the pressure there.

Speaker 1 (01:58:23):
Second and ten back at the seventeen yard line. Five
was sixth left to playing the third devid up twenty
four to nothing. One wide out to the near side
this time, and this time White will take it to
the right side and mcdebit hit him in the backfield
for a big loss.

Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
Yees, several crusaders coming from the back side there. Hard
for me to see who was the first man there.
You had David Maltestinik, you had Will Yost, and I
think you had RJ. Duffy, all of them who were
coming from the back, hitting White from behind for the
tackle for loss.

Speaker 2 (01:59:01):
One of the rare times they've had to rush one
there several times tonight where they've had him, but they
don't take the right angle that time they get him
from behind. And like you said, Rob one of three,
I was thinking maybe Maltesnik.

Speaker 3 (01:59:14):
Yeah, I think wanted to tripped him up.

Speaker 9 (01:59:16):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:59:16):
Third and fourteen back at the thirteen yard line. Crusaders
threatening the blitz and now it looked like a false start,
and they do.

Speaker 4 (01:59:23):
Call it.

Speaker 1 (01:59:29):
A little pushing and shoving out there, so false start
on the Mountain Lions. It'll be third down and nineteen
back at the eight. Devid's defense starting to turn things
up here in the third quarter here now of twenty
four zip, it's a crusader shut Carlisle out. Last week

(01:59:55):
forty nine to nothing, Mountain Lions break cuddle, two White
outs to the near side. Parker Waite surveys at mcdebit
defense back to pass steps up fires one down the field.
He's got a man and just overthrew him around the
forty five yard line as he had Chisholm there. There

(02:00:15):
were a couple of defenders in the area, but it
just went too far.

Speaker 3 (02:00:22):
Yeah, I don't know what happened there, Marty. That looks
like the Crusaders. Something happened with their own coverage. And
you don't want to see a man running free between
three different safeties back there, and no one was in
the vicinity. So they dodged a bullet.

Speaker 2 (02:00:35):
They really dodged a bullet there. If Flake drops that
in there, it's probably six.

Speaker 3 (02:00:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:00:42):
Instead, White, we'll go back and punt from his own
end zone, standing right about on the a of his
own end zone. There three point fifty eight left to
play in the third quarter of mcdevid of twenty four
to nothing. Ish Palmer standing at about midfield, and here
comes the pressure. He is able to get it out
out of there, and Ish will let this one bounce

(02:01:03):
and it takes a great role for the Mountain Lions
all the way down to the thirty three yard line
of Bishop mcdebit. So guess the good and bad news
for Bishop Mcdebit bad news that you lose a lot
of field position. Good news as you have some field
to work with and keep the offense on the field

(02:01:25):
here up twenty four to nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:01:29):
Guys won one game of interest halftime score Mechanicsburg leading
red Land fourteen to seven. I know we're kind of
looking at that as we start to hone in on
the five A playoffs and potential opponents in Soilanco absolutely
destroying Conrad Wiser night forty one to thirteen. Last I

(02:01:53):
saw wow.

Speaker 1 (02:01:57):
All right, or come the Crusaders Going left to right
from the visitors side press box here at Mansion Park Stadium, MCDEVI.
It's up twenty four zip, two white outs on the
near side. They will hand this one off the middle.
Two swoops, I believe on that one takes it up
to the forty four yard line, gain a ten, and
he'll give him the first down.

Speaker 4 (02:02:21):
Swoops.

Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
Such a fun running back to watch. He's got the
power and.

Speaker 4 (02:02:24):
The speed, oh yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (02:02:27):
He can turn on those jets and if you do
make contact with him, he'll knock you down out of
the way. Two white outs on the near side and
they will give it to him again, this time on
the left side and knocking guys out of the way
before he finally goes out of bounds shy of the
first down, but he got about seven and a half yards.

Speaker 3 (02:02:47):
Yeah, he's just so strong in every way, just with
the staff arm, just a strong upper body and uh,
just as we talked about last year, just so hard
to bring down guys.

Speaker 1 (02:03:01):
So mcdebitt will have a second and two at the
forty seven yard line of ault Tuna.

Speaker 3 (02:03:06):
Chris Thompson's still in there at right tackle and I
think we'll probably see him now.

Speaker 1 (02:03:11):
In there the rest of the way, and mcdebitt will
run this when the LaRue junior he's got the first
down and more inside the forty down to the thirty
eight yard line, gain of nine and a bisha mcdebit
first down.

Speaker 3 (02:03:23):
I really like that run from Jerome LaRue Jr. Standing
in between the tackles behind the right side of that
line and just you know, determined not to bounce it
just to get upfield and his best run of the night.

Speaker 2 (02:03:37):
I think it was a run that he really needed.

Speaker 1 (02:03:39):
Yes, Sebastian Williams has to play from coach Wector takes
it back to the huddle as we're down to two
forty left to play in the third John take quick
engage Ruth out here in the near side.

Speaker 4 (02:03:55):
Holton junior out.

Speaker 1 (02:03:56):
On the far side for Bishop mcdebitt. The rude junior
in there running back and the pass outside is tipped
the defender Geishauser tip that one and it's incomplete.

Speaker 17 (02:04:09):
M h.

Speaker 1 (02:04:12):
So that'll be second and ten for Bishon mcdebit. Luke
Geisshauser just a junior for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 3 (02:04:22):
And the thing about having Chris Thompson, Now you got
your whole right side of the offensive line with Logan
and Thompson playing both ways, so you're gonna see more
of guys like Mala Testinik than will Hus coming in
on the defensive line to give them a rest.

Speaker 1 (02:04:36):
Two white outs to the first side from mcdebitt. One
of the near Sebastian back to pass fires one down
the middle of the field. He's got his man holdens,
got it inside the five and down to the one
first and goal.

Speaker 4 (02:04:47):
Bishop mcdebitt.

Speaker 2 (02:04:51):
I think they're gonna probably mark out it to three.

Speaker 3 (02:04:53):
Yeah, hold holding out his man beat soundly beat his man,
Marty wide open. It's quite honestly, Ashon would would say
this too. That should have been a touchdown, absolutely, and
it hung up there a little too long and Howard
Holton had to wait for the football and that's why
he's only at the three instead of in the end zone.
But hey, thirty five yards, you'll take it.

Speaker 2 (02:05:13):
You'll take it. It's right. Actually, might've have been wobbling
a little bit when it got there. I'll have to
see that on the film.

Speaker 1 (02:05:20):
First and goal to three, power eye formation for Bishop mcdebit.
Sebastian under center, Jack Dawson in there to block. We'll
hand this one off up the middle and Maurice Barnes
just waltz is into the end zone for our Bishop mcdebit.
Touchdown and the Crusaders go up thirty to nothing with
a minute thirty eight left to play here in the
third quarter.

Speaker 3 (02:05:42):
Just another impressive series. Six six plays, sixty six yards
and just dominance from the offensive line and playmakers making plays.

Speaker 1 (02:05:55):
So minute thirty eight left to play in the third,
it's thirty to nothing. Mcdebitt, Grella on to Timpty. Extra
point kick is up and it is good. So that
makes it thirty one and nothing. Vision mcdebit and we

(02:06:16):
will take a break with minute thirty eight left to
play in the third. You're listening to Vision mcdebit football

Sec Stronger together, Unstoppable as one. This is Bishop mcdebit
football on Fox Sports fourteen sixteen.

Speaker 1 (02:07:15):
All right, Welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium here in Altuna,
art selby Marty Bowman, Rob Maglice, Eli Fssler back in
Harrisburg producing force tonight, Bish mcdebit up now thirty one
and nothing. Crusaders score on a three yard touchdown run
by Maurice Barnes, set up from the a thirty seven
yard pass from Sebastian Williams to Holden Junior put mcdebit

(02:07:36):
inside the five, and the Crusader's now up thirty one
to nothing. Fish mcdebitt all time eight and one against
Altuna on their way to nine and one. At this point,
I just want to finish the game strong here now,
if you're Bishop mcdebitt, Grella will kick off going left
to right from the visitors side press box here at
Mansion Park Stadium in Altuna. Two men back deep for

(02:08:02):
the Mountain Lions, and this one will be caught at
the two. We'll bring this one back to the outside
nowhere to go for hazel Wood as he tried to
return that thing. McDevitt with great special teams coverage and
I've said that a bunch here tonight, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:08:17):
Will Yost absolutely squared up on the return man, made
him make the first move and just put an ice
wrestling move on him.

Speaker 3 (02:08:27):
Yeah, just another you know example, this is a huge
senior class, you know, twenty what did we say earlier,
twenty eight seniors and so many of them obviously they
not can't all be in the starting lineup, but so
many of them are finding ways to contribute. We talked
about will Yost being a guy that's a role player
that rotates in on the D line. There you see
him on special teams. We've talked about, you know, Carlos

(02:08:49):
Smith on special teams, Campbell Milch. A lot of these
seniors are really making their mark on this team.

Speaker 1 (02:08:57):
So here come the Mountain Lions. Now down thirty one
to nothing, minute thirty two left to play in the
third quarter. White under center. He's got two white outs
to the far side, and the man goes in motion.
That's Chathams, and the penalty flag comes flying in.

Speaker 3 (02:09:12):
They're signaling at all sides against McDevitt, that's what they call.

Speaker 1 (02:09:18):
So so it'll be first and five for the Mountain Lions.
Now the eighteen yard line. Again, two white outs to
the far side for the Mountain Lion, same situation. Chathams
goes in motion and they try and run this up
the middle, and a nice run by hazel Wood that

(02:09:41):
time the first down needed. They pick up the first down,
move the chains.

Speaker 2 (02:09:49):
Hazel Wood had absolutely nothing. He was actually stopped by
one of his linemen and just bounced off of it
and you know, picked up seven or eight.

Speaker 1 (02:09:59):
Mountain Lions will with two white outs to the far side.
They break cuddle just now as the play clocks under fifteen.
Again two white outs to the far side.

Speaker 4 (02:10:14):
Wait back to pass.

Speaker 1 (02:10:15):
Here comes a pressure and he'll dump one to the
outside to his running back and mcdebitt all over that thing.
They read it well and no gain And now some
really pushing and shoving and penalty flags flying in all
over the place.

Speaker 3 (02:10:32):
And it was Jack Dawson that made the play there
for mcnabbath.

Speaker 1 (02:10:35):
By the way, and thankfully cooler heads prevail.

Speaker 4 (02:10:44):
There is a guys, get out of the way.

Speaker 1 (02:10:48):
They're tempers flaring a bit now, there guys, all sorts
of laundry out there.

Speaker 3 (02:10:57):
Yeah, there's three flags down, so obviously there's gonna be
some offsetting here to a degree. But I don't know,
you know, if there's going to be more than one
foul on one of the teams or the other team.

Speaker 1 (02:11:13):
Thirty eight seconds left to play in the third mcdevita
thirty one nothing over.

Speaker 4 (02:11:18):
I'll tune. It was twenty one to nothing at the half.

Speaker 3 (02:11:21):
Now you've got the whole crew over there talking this through,
so who knows. Actually there's four flags, four flags down.

Speaker 1 (02:11:32):
Yeah, that situation was looking a little scary there for
a little bit, and thankfully didn't get any worse.

Speaker 2 (02:11:39):
Credit to coaching staffs who kept their players yes on
the benches, because that, as you said, was looking a
little scary. And when people start running off the side, sidelines,
ones of the field, that's when it can really get ugly.

Speaker 4 (02:11:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:11:54):
Well, and that's when you're that's when you're then gonna
be subjecting your team to being ejected and not being
able to play, you know, next week, I believe is
the rule. You know, if you if you get ejected.
I think if you get ejected period anymore, you don't
get to play in the next game. I don't I'm
not one hundred percent on that, but I'm pretty sure.

(02:12:15):
But if you come off the bench, I'm certain you
wouldn't be playing next Friday night against Cumberland Valley if
you're if you're a crusader, it's just taken quite a
while here. I don't know what's you know, at least
this guy has a microphone, so we'll hear what's happening.

Speaker 1 (02:12:38):
So there's unsports and like conduct on mcdebit's and a disqualification.

Speaker 3 (02:12:55):
Then you can see the mcdebits staff as irate. So
there were two of the two were the three penalties
were on al Tuna. Two of the three on sportsman
likes were out on al Tuna. The third one was
one Jakai Logan and they've they've ejected Jakai from the game,
which people are flipping out about. And Marty, you're better
at sorting some of the stuff out than I am.

(02:13:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:13:19):
Did they say it was his second?

Speaker 3 (02:13:21):
I think that's what they said.

Speaker 2 (02:13:23):
But do either one of you guys recall that.

Speaker 3 (02:13:25):
I don't recall that.

Speaker 2 (02:13:26):
I don't recall any unsportsman line.

Speaker 3 (02:13:28):
And I think that's what coach Wector is asking for
an explanation. I don't remember. I'll be oh, you know,
what was his Did he have the horse caller?

Speaker 2 (02:13:43):
He did?

Speaker 3 (02:13:44):
So that's kind of unfortunate because I guess it's kind
of a letter of a law rule. It wasn't like
when you think of an unsportsman like you think of
like a taunting or a pushing after the play. Yeah,
so I guess by the letter of the law it's
his second. I can't wait to find out what that
means for next week. If that's a definite that you
don't you know, he won't get to play against Cumberland

(02:14:04):
Valley or Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:14:06):
Do they still do the thing in college where if
it's in the second half, you miss a half.

Speaker 3 (02:14:11):
Yeah, they do.

Speaker 2 (02:14:12):
Yeah, So we'll see how that, Like you said, how
that plays out.

Speaker 3 (02:14:15):
Well, we just got to understand how he's been such
a key on both of the lines. Yeah, I mean
he's really a mainstay. I don't I frankly don't know.
I mean that would be a huge loss for them
for next week.

Speaker 2 (02:14:29):
And no matter who the opponent, you certainly don't want
to lose him against Cumberland Valley.

Speaker 3 (02:14:33):
Well, and you and you're now you're you're you're getting
yourself spread a little thin because you lost Andre Mayna
to Night. So you've got Chris Thompson playing both ways.

Speaker 1 (02:14:43):
Coach wect A still out there. Want an explanation from
the officiating crew.

Speaker 3 (02:14:47):
Yeah, because again I think it's a it's a strange
situation if they're calling the horse collar an unsportsmanlike penalty,
which I I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:14:58):
When they give that say or when they did it,
I thought they called it personal foul.

Speaker 3 (02:15:03):
Right right, which is what which is different is which
is different. Yes, coach Weck is not happy. The whole
staff was pretty much out there, Connor Marcco out there

(02:15:23):
and now they're now. Now the staff is coming over
to talk to Jakai.

Speaker 1 (02:15:30):
The officials coming back together again here again.

Speaker 3 (02:15:32):
But it does not appear that he's putting his helmet
back on.

Speaker 9 (02:15:37):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:15:37):
As a matter of fact, he's taking his jersey off.

Speaker 3 (02:15:44):
Very interesting with you know, two of the three penalties
were on State College. But you're right, Marty, the the
referee did it allude to a second second time for Jakai,
But it's got to be from the horse collar because
McDevitt did not have any.

Speaker 2 (02:16:07):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to talk to coach Wector. Oh yeah,
but he seemed you tell me, you know, a lot
longer than he seemed almost satisfied as he came off
the field. Yeah, he did an explained it to Jakai.

Speaker 3 (02:16:24):
I think maybe I don't know if he's got, you know,
sort of out what that means for next week or not,
But I guess we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (02:16:30):
It's second and five from the thirty one yard line.
Wait back to pass. Here comes the pressure. White running
for his life and he's pushed out of mounds. You
see where they mark him.

Speaker 3 (02:16:42):
Jack Dawson with great pursuit.

Speaker 4 (02:16:47):
And they're gonna get in the first down.

Speaker 2 (02:16:49):
I think, yeah, he had a lot of sideline left
over there.

Speaker 1 (02:16:56):
Well, was at the thirty nine yard line of Altuna.
Cluck stops with twenty four seconds left to play in
the third. It's thirty one nothing vision mcdebit. But obviously
some concerns about how things will be affected next week. Wait,
waits a snap, Here comes a pressure again, he eludes it, mcdebitt. Wait, finally, he.

Speaker 3 (02:17:22):
Had to be almost on the ground when he threw
that ball. Gosh, I wish we had instant replay.

Speaker 2 (02:17:28):
You know, he just does not get tackled though. I
mean he is very loosive back there.

Speaker 3 (02:17:33):
Maurice Barnes just had his arms around him and was
in the process of bringing him down, but he just
got loose. And Tron Dennis has got to be he
has been so close to gosh, three four sacks tonight,
Tarron comes out. David Maltestenik in there now, Jack Dawson
in there at defensive tackle in place of Jacai. Chris

(02:17:57):
Thompson in there, Will Yost in there.

Speaker 1 (02:18:02):
Falls at the thirty nine at second and ten for
the Mountain Lions. They come to the outside and Hazelwood
has nowhere to go at All's mcdebitt that's in there
and takes them down for a loss.

Speaker 3 (02:18:15):
Campbell Milch and Tyler Reinhardt. I believe they combined earlier
on a tf al and there they are again.

Speaker 1 (02:18:21):
That's kind to end the third quarter of play here
in the kind of a strange third quarter of Visha
mcdebit up thirty one to nothing. Over Altoona will switch
ends of the field and have the fourth quarter for
you after this. You're listening to Visha mcdebit football here
in Fox Sports fourteen sixty nine Hero Radio.

Speaker 5 (02:19:37):
This is they should make Devin football on use Radio
WHB five eighty and iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (02:19:44):
You're down in fifteen White running for his life and
he dumps this one out in the flats and.

Speaker 2 (02:19:52):
Yeah, yeah, it looks like he threw it to four linemen.
I don't know how that's not.

Speaker 4 (02:19:57):
A It didn't look like at that's that's exactly what
he did.

Speaker 2 (02:20:01):
Yeah, that was an intentional grounding.

Speaker 4 (02:20:04):
It's fourth and fifteen and the Mountain Lions will have
to punt.

Speaker 3 (02:20:07):
Maurice Barnes was breathing down his neck again.

Speaker 2 (02:20:10):
Long distance shout out to one of our favorite listeners,
Taras saying down in Tennessee appreciate you being with us
every week.

Speaker 1 (02:20:19):
All right, So the Mountain Lions, we'll have to punt
here on fourth down and fifteen from the thirty five
eleven fifty five left to play. Mcdebit's up thirty one
to nothing. Wait with a line drive kick down the
middle of the field and nisch Palmer gets away from
that thing and takes an altuna row inside the twenty
five down to the twenty four and that's where Bisho

(02:20:40):
mcdebitt will take over. Now, going right to left from
the visitor's side press box here at Mansion Park Stadium.

Speaker 2 (02:20:46):
And we see John take Quick has come off the
sideline and went back into the dressing room. He limped off.

Speaker 3 (02:20:54):
Yeah, this team just cannot get healthy. Coach Weck's been
talking about it week after week and they just cannot
shake these ankle injuries. We see Andre Maynol on the
bench down there, just sitting and we don't know what
his status will be going forward. But when you think
about the long term goal of this team, at some

(02:21:14):
point you hope that they'll get healthy.

Speaker 1 (02:21:18):
Here come the Crusaders back onto the field. Swoops in
the backfield, Sebastian Williams the quarterback one white out to
each side of the field. We'll hand this off to Swoop.
Swoops puts a nice move on the defender, cuts outside
a nice stiff arm and they finally shove them out
of bounds. Here back the twenty two yard line. Little

(02:21:39):
weight shove there, but new flag comes out.

Speaker 2 (02:21:42):
I think it's because there was no whistle. I didn't
hear the whistle and we're not that far away.

Speaker 3 (02:21:47):
From that one, guys, I want to mention. With Jakai
out of the game, the new right guard is Noah Cobb,
number fifty three six one fifty pounds junior, So Noah
in there now on this o line.

Speaker 1 (02:22:02):
Crusaders will come with two wide outs to the forest side.
Ish Palmer's out there along with Gage, Ruth and mcdebitt.
Will hand this one off to Swoop Swoops up the
middle and a penalty flag comes flying in and.

Speaker 3 (02:22:15):
This is gonna be on Altoona. I can't see the number,
but after the play, one of the linebackers getting in
some extracurricular shoving on Land and Colbert when he was
on the ground.

Speaker 1 (02:22:29):
Swoops did take that one up the field for a
first down.

Speaker 2 (02:22:32):
The holding on mcdebit I thought, I saw, wow, I
could be wrong.

Speaker 3 (02:22:36):
No, you're right, you're.

Speaker 4 (02:22:42):
Becker.

Speaker 3 (02:22:42):
And Jack Dawson was clapping his hands there, so I
thought that's what they uh, what they called.

Speaker 1 (02:22:53):
So all comes back to the twenty yard line. Crusaders
will have a second down here, I believe, two wide
outs to the fore side and one of the near
swoops still in there running back, it looks like and

(02:23:14):
they will hand this one off up the middle, and
that's actually LaRue Jr. And With a great run all
the way up to the forty five yard line. And
that's one way to pick up some the ordage for
Bisho mcdebitts.

Speaker 2 (02:23:25):
Twenty five yard pickup for the room. That was a
quick hitter right off left guard.

Speaker 4 (02:23:30):
He showed some speed on that one.

Speaker 3 (02:23:33):
Well, he's definitely got another gear and we really have
just he's really just started to scratch the surface. Rome.
He's when he really fine tunes his craft running the football,
he is going to be absolutely something special.

Speaker 1 (02:23:48):
Ish Palmer gage roof to the fore side, another hand
off to LaRue Junior cuts outside and this time a
nice tackle out there by Geisshauser. Nice, we'll give him
a yard and that's about it. Second down and nine
for mcdebit. Ten minutes left to play here, mcdebit up

(02:24:10):
thirty one to nothing over Altoona.

Speaker 4 (02:24:16):
It's like Gage and.

Speaker 1 (02:24:17):
Ish Palmer on the near side, Holton junior to the
far side. Maurice Barnes is in there and out running back,
I believe for mcdebitt. They fake the handoff and the
pass is tipped as Sebastian tried to throw that one
of the outside looked like Wyatt Warrior might have got his.

Speaker 4 (02:24:37):
Hand on that one.

Speaker 3 (02:24:40):
Yeah, number eleven to six tighty five pounds junior linebacker.

Speaker 1 (02:24:49):
Mcdebit. Now with a third down and nine from the
forty six yard line, sebastian waits to snap two whiteouts
of side, one to the far Jack Dawson in there
for mcdeviitt as well. In the backfield. Ohn this one
off to the near side. Maurice Barnes spinds his way

(02:25:09):
up to the fifty, gets about four and mcdebitt's gonna
have a fourth down situation. They're gonna send the punting
team on, so going back deep will be number twelve.
Jackson he played some quarterback earlier in this game the

(02:25:33):
night for the Mountain Lions, and Grella is standing at
his thirty six nine minutes left to play in this one,
mcdevitd up thirty one to nothing and Grella gets this
one off, takes a little bit of a mcdebit role
inside of ten and down to the seven yard line.
So again, the special teams tonight for Bision McDevitt have

(02:25:55):
been fantastic coverage on kickoffs and nice job there punting
and Rella. Also with the thirty eight yard field goal tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:26:08):
Guys, I'm kind of sensing on that third down play
Coach Wector, no need to put his quarterback in jeopardy.
We don't need to get to first down. If we
break something on the run, we break it. If not,
let's punt the ball.

Speaker 1 (02:26:23):
I would agree with that assessment, Coach Booman.

Speaker 2 (02:26:27):
Of course, when I talk to Coach Wector this week,
if I bring up that play, who will inform me
that I was all wrong? The strategy had nothing to
do with what I thought.

Speaker 1 (02:26:37):
Oh my gosh, hege forty nine left to play. Mcdevid
up thirty one toh and Mountain Lions have it at
the ruin seven yard line and they will run this
one on the right side and get up to about
the fifteen yard line. It's a nice run for the

(02:26:57):
Mountain Lions. They'll give him seven. He's second down and
three they'll go with two white outs to the far side.
That's Clement's in there running back on that last one.
Now some confusion for the Mountain Lions. Clemens still in there,

(02:27:25):
had running back wait under center and a direct hand
off up the middle at Bishop mcdevia is waiting for it,
and they shut it down immediately.

Speaker 2 (02:27:36):
Rob, I don't have a good Yeah, I do, now, John,
take quick as quick as come back out. Yeah. And
he's on the bench and he's getting some ice on
those ankles or ankle I should say. I saw Rachelle
Blakeley trainer breaking open some ice bags, which is never
a good sign. And then I saw John Tay there

(02:27:58):
and he was really kind of holding them off up
by the bench and the table there and he sat
down down the end of the bench and it's getting
some icel in.

Speaker 1 (02:28:07):
That and wait, will run for his life and dump
this one off to the outside out here. And don't
believe they got the first down. They picked up maybe one.

Speaker 3 (02:28:19):
Yeah, Tyler Reinhart's did a really nice job coming up
reading that getting knocking him down short of the sticks.
Patrick right also in pursuit.

Speaker 2 (02:28:28):
Yeah right, did a good job in there also.

Speaker 1 (02:28:30):
Yes, so it'll be fourth down and two for the
Mountain Lions with six fifty six left to play. In
this one, mcdevid up thirty one to nothing weight standing
at his one yard line to punt ish Palmer sitting
right on the fifty. It's a low one, but wait,

(02:28:54):
with a nice job of getting this one off. His
catches it at the forty nine, turns up phild He's
got the forty thirty five ready twenty five twenty fifteen
ten five no resistance into the end zone, touchdown Bishop
mcdebit and with six thirty left to play, and this one,
the Crusaders go up thirty seven enough and over at
Altuna with fireworks going off in the background here at

(02:29:16):
Mansion Park Stadium.

Speaker 2 (02:29:17):
And Beck Tyler Reinhart had a really good block back
here at around the thirty thirty two yard line, and
he was getting like entangled and he kind of threw
himself away to make sure that he didn't get a
hold on it.

Speaker 3 (02:29:30):
Really nice. The weight flag just comes down right now.

Speaker 2 (02:29:35):
Well, as I turned away, there was an Altuna player
just kind of like following one of the mcdebit players
with shoulder bumps.

Speaker 3 (02:29:43):
So we'll see how Yeah, this was behind the behind
the as they were getting ready to huddle up here
and kick kick the point. I guess there was a
flag that came in around the fifteen yard line, and
we'll see what's happening here. Never a dull moment, right.

Speaker 1 (02:30:04):
You gotta love the well timed fireworks going up in
the distance here.

Speaker 3 (02:30:07):
Man, wonder what that was all about.

Speaker 1 (02:30:11):
I kind of guess it was not for Is Palmer's
return touchdown, but it looked good for US Crusaders up
thirty seven nothing as a officials explaining something to the
Altunic coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (02:30:35):
As soon as this broke the initial you had a
good feeling.

Speaker 3 (02:30:38):
Oh yeah, I mean he caught it on a dead run,
made the first man miss without losing any speed, and
you saw once he got through that first wave it
was it was gonna open wide up for him. And
you mentioned Ryan Hart's block. So the Crusaders were lined
up to kick the point. Like I said, the flag
came in about the fifteen yard line. Now, I think

(02:31:13):
they said unnecessary roughness on number seven on Altuna. That's
going to be assessed on the kickoff.

Speaker 4 (02:31:19):
That's what I think. Now what you guys heard, Yeah,
that's what I took out of that.

Speaker 2 (02:31:23):
But I thought he signaled it more as a unsportsmanlike.
I know that's not is that that's not considered an unsportsmanlike?

Speaker 9 (02:31:31):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (02:31:33):
Gorilla on the tempt the extra point couldn't raff the
holder and the kick is up and it's good, So
that makes it thirty eight enough in mcdebit over Altuna.
Six and a half minutes left to play here and
this one will take a break. You're listening to Vision
mcdebit football here in Fox Sports fourteen sixty and I
hear a radio this should be.

Speaker 8 (02:31:54):

Speaker 5 (02:32:28):
The Boys of Ball play right here on Fox Sports
fourteen sixteen.

Speaker 1 (02:32:36):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium here in
al Tuna. Mcdebit now up thirty eight to nothing over
the Altuna Mountain Lions after Ish Palmer's punt return for
a touchdown and the extra point was good bye, Grella
and Vision. Mcdebit will kick off here now going right
to left from the visitor side press box here at
Mansion Park Stadium. All right, so we're about ready to

(02:33:08):
get play started. Here is Grella will kick off two
men back deep for the Mountain Lions. Now we're just
about ready to get rolling here. And then now they
will spot the penalty here, so this ball will be

(02:33:28):
placed at the forty five yard line of Altuna.

Speaker 2 (02:33:32):
If the score wasn't what it was, he would do
an one side kick here because you really can't lose.
If this was like first half twenty one nothing game,
you would do a one side kick here.

Speaker 4 (02:33:51):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:33:51):
So Grella will line up to kick this one off,
getting two men back deep for the Mountain Lions, and
Grella will just kick this one way through the uprights
and out of the back end zone for the touchback.

Speaker 2 (02:34:07):
He put his hands up. That must have went through.
He put his hands up like it was good.

Speaker 3 (02:34:12):
So so, guys, I gave you a lot of happiness
things going on with mcdevid alum, And unfortunately I want
to pass along on one sad note speaking of a
Crusader alums, Tyrone Williams, who was the South Central League
Offensive Player of the Year back in nineteen seventy seven.
Some sad news that he passed away. Just passed away recently.

(02:34:36):
We'll have a memorial service coming up on October tenth
at Bethlaam Church in Harrisburg. But Tyrone was a Class
of seventy eight tailback South Central Player Year for Bruce
Evans back then, So we extend our condolences to his
family and friends.

Speaker 1 (02:34:54):
Mountain Lions have it they will run this one up
the middle. Not much they did bring Jackson back into
the game at quarterback. Here is that we're down the
six minutes left to play in this game of mcdebit
up thirty eight and nothing.

Speaker 9 (02:35:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:35:11):
Absolutely, our sympathy to the family and trust God's comfort
and peace at this time for them.

Speaker 1 (02:35:23):
So Bishon McDevitt will have a happy ride back to
Harrisburg tonight with the w Although some some guys banged
up a bit. Jackson under center and he pitches this
one of the outside balls on the ground. That's a
live ball, and I think it went out of bounds. Yeah,

(02:35:48):
so it'll just be a big loss, but not a
turnover for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 3 (02:35:51):
Yeah. A couple of white jerseys dove for that ball
is the Uh. The backups are all in there now
and people people's eyes were probably huge trying to dive
on that football, but it was very close to the sideline.
Where are they marking that thing? Back at the twelve,
it looks like.

Speaker 2 (02:36:10):
Yeah, Stefian Holmberg in there for the Crusaders.

Speaker 3 (02:36:15):
Yep, number thirty at linebacker.

Speaker 4 (02:36:20):
Carlus Smith in there for Bishop mcdebit.

Speaker 3 (02:36:22):
It looks like Chris Boyer also in there, number thirty
six at linebacker.

Speaker 1 (02:36:27):
Jackson comes running to the near side, fires went up
the field. It's complete up here to number eleven and
that is a warrior, but he's taken down immediately.

Speaker 3 (02:36:38):
Yeah, the'v our chance with a nice stick.

Speaker 1 (02:36:44):
And that'll make it fourth down and long. And I
would think that Mountain Lions will punt here before twenty
left the play and mcdebit up thirty eight zip and
coming into the game for Bishop mcdebit, the bar chance
will come back to return this punt and the Mountain

(02:37:05):
Lions with a different punter in the game as well
as they take white out.

Speaker 2 (02:37:11):
A chance for chance and I've mean it that way,
but to do a little.

Speaker 1 (02:37:15):
Damage here Lucas Snyder in there's the punter and this
thing bounces at the forty one yard line, takes a
bit of an Altuna row out to the forty eight
yard line and that's where they finally touched this one
down with three forty two left to play in this
game in mcdebit up thirty eight to nothing. Of course,

(02:37:36):
next Friday night Rock Ortenzio Stadium homecoming against Cumberland Valley,
Stader's on their way to being four to two. There's
Altuna defeated Cumberland Valley a few weeks ago seventeen sixteen.

Speaker 4 (02:37:56):
Crusaders have it here.

Speaker 1 (02:37:57):
They'll bring in a new quarterback kill fight in there
two white outs to the foreside, one of the near.

Speaker 3 (02:38:04):
Xavier Marc Farland in the backfield creaton Milch.

Speaker 1 (02:38:12):
How Tuna will take a time out. Let's take our

Altuna or at selby Marty Booman, Rob mglise and Eli
Fessler back in the studios. Mcdebit up thirty eight to
nothing now over al Tuna with three and a half
to play, and the Crusaders have a first down and
ten at the forty eight yard line of Altuna. Fight
in their quarterback waiting the snap and the Crusaders will

(02:39:32):
hand this one off to the outside the McFarland and McFarland,
who's a bulldozer there. We'll take it to the outside
and pick up about eight second and two for Bishop mcdebitt.

Speaker 2 (02:39:46):
Sterland Xavier McFarland able to get the corner.

Speaker 3 (02:39:49):
As you said, Art, pick up eight guys. Next Friday
night back at Rock Ortenzio Stadium. Homecoming twenty twenty five.
Always festive and uh even more so. This year. They'll
be honoring the nineteen eighty five District three championship team
of course, Ricky Waters, Jimmy Bryant, schan Barowski's team, the

(02:40:10):
nineteen ninety five PIAA State championship team coach by Fort
Chapman will also be honored, and four will be in
the building actually broadcasting the game that night.

Speaker 1 (02:40:20):
Here's another handoff to McFarland inside to thirty all the
way down to the twenty six yard line and a
game of about fourteen and a first down.

Speaker 2 (02:40:28):
Bishop mcdebitt, Marty looking forward to some VIPs up in
the press.

Speaker 3 (02:40:32):
Oh yeah, next week Ricky Waters will be around campus
for a few days. They have him coming in. He's
going to be at the school Friday with the students
for the PEP rally during the day, so that'll be
that'll be a big deal. And lots going on. There's
a mass Thursday evening which was supposed to be with
Bishop Senior, but Bishop's not going to be able to

(02:40:54):
be there now. I think he's having surgery of some sort.
But still a great weekend Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Speaker 1 (02:41:02):
First down in ten at the twenty eight yard line
for mcdevon, another handoff for the Crusaders and they will
take this one down to the twenty. Mc farland again
on the run.

Speaker 2 (02:41:16):
Rob Art can't really tell you whether I ever saw
Ricky Waters play. I mean, I really don't remember. I
was flying to Orlando when my son and his wife
lived down there, and I was getting on the plane
and Ricky Waters was walking off and I never realized
what a mountain of a guy. He was Oh my goodness,

(02:41:37):
he uh, I think he actually was coaching down in
that area. Rob was at yeah, maybe fifteen years ago,
he was coaching down there at twenty and oh my goodness,
just incredible seeing him walking off the plane.

Speaker 1 (02:41:51):
Minute left to play. Crusaders will down a bit on
that one. Is a number thirty two O'Neill. Actually that
might have been coldwell on the tackle for the Mountain Lions.

Speaker 2 (02:42:08):
Of course I shoulder bumped him. He flipped me off
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:42:15):
All right, we're down to thirty five seconds left to
play in this one. MC debit up thirty eight nothing
over out tuna.

Speaker 3 (02:42:21):
Yeah, you guys will have to uh. I'm sure you're
gonna have uh some great halftime guests up in the booth.

Speaker 1 (02:42:30):
One more play left here, I believe as the Crusaders
do hand this one off up the middle and they
will take this one down to the fifteen yard line.
That's McFarland again, and that should about do it. If
we're down the ten seconds left, and Joe fight will

(02:42:50):
tell us Steven to come over to the sideline and
the Crusaders will win this game thirty eight to nothing.
They're in the win column. For the fourth time this season.
They go before and two, Tuna drops to two and
four and we will take a break. We'll be back
with tonight's postgame show. You're listening to Bishop mcdebit football

Right, Welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium here in Altuna,
where mcdebitt has defeated Altuna thirty eight to nothing. Here tonight,
quick scoring recap. Three point fifteen left in the first quarter,
swoops Nazir James Davis a thirteen yard touchdown run put
the Crusaders up seven zip, and we had a touchdown
pass from Sebastian to Holton Junior to make it fourteen

(02:45:44):
to nothing. That was after a Tyler Reinhart's interception there
in the second quarter. Beautiful highlight, real touchdown pass from
Sebastian Williams to John Tate quick for seventy eight yards.
Crusaders led twenty one to nothing at the half. We'd
have an Aiden Grillady eight yard field goal in the
third with five seventeen left make it twenty four zip

(02:46:05):
mcdebit and a long pass from Sebastian Williams inside.

Speaker 4 (02:46:08):
The five to a Holton Junior.

Speaker 1 (02:46:11):
Set mcdebit up where Barnes would take it in from
about three yards out with a minute thirty eight left
to play in the third.

Speaker 4 (02:46:17):
It was thirty one to nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:46:18):
Mcdebit and for about six and a half minutes left
to play in the game, Ish Palmer with a punt
return for a touchdown made the final score of Vision
mcdebit thirty eight and now Tuna nothing. When we return,
we'll have our game Day, Men's Health Player, the game
that's next. You're listening to the Bisho mcdebit football here

to you by Game Day Men's Health to finding a
new era in men's health.

Speaker 1 (02:47:35):
I'm like, all right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium
here in Altuna, where Bishop mcdebitt has won thirty eight
to nothing over Altuna Tom for Game Day Men's Health
Player of the Game, defining a new era in men's health.
I'll let you guys go first. Marty, who you select tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:47:52):
I'm gonna do a tandem here. I'm gonna do a
QB and a receiver. Okay, I have Sebastian. I'm sure
Rob is more accurate, but I have Sebastian eleven for
fifteen for two twenty one yep, yep, and John tay
Quick four receptions, one hundred and twenty five. And that's rough,

(02:48:14):
but that is. And it was the big seventy eight
yard touchdown. It was a fantastic pass and a fantastic
run and you tie that all together with those stats.

Speaker 3 (02:48:25):
I think they're the my players of the game. Rab Yeah,
I cannot argue with that. I think I think those
guys get it. I mean, there were a lot of
people that obviously had standout games. But we talked about
the passing game really clicking tonight, and I think that's
a great, great way to you know, put a bell
on this one with the tandem of a Sebastian Williams

(02:48:46):
and John tay Quick. I mean, obviously defense had a
heck of a game. They held out Tuna to one
hundred and eighteen total yards for the entire football game
and pitched a shoutout, So you know, got to mention that, and.

Speaker 1 (02:49:01):
I'll agree with that, and I'll throw in the offensive
line as well for Bishop mcdebit tonight doing a nice
job giving everybody some time to get the job done.
So we'll throw them in as well. Our game day
mental players of the game, a new era in Mentelf
will take one final break and we'll have some final
comments after this. You're listening to the Bisha mcdebit postgame
show here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty nine.

All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium for the
final time. Here tonight now Tuna Blush mcdeviit wins thirty
eight to nothing over the Altuna Mountain Lions, and uh,
just a great effort all the way around the night, Marty.

Speaker 2 (02:50:51):
It really was. It was a we just used this
term about grilla just like a workman yike like performance,
and really the whole team and your comment. The offensive
line is well taken. They did a great job. They
give Sebastion a lot of time, opened up some holes
for the running game. But it was a really good
performance by the team. A good performance by the coaching

(02:51:14):
staff too.

Speaker 1 (02:51:14):
I thought a great play calling and Rob great to
see the defense just dominating the way they have last
couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (02:51:20):
Yeah, I mean they're putting it together. You know, we've
talked about them getting healthy. It's good to see, you know,
Tyler Reinhart's looking healthy, Patrick Wright's looking healthy. That front
seven is really really impressive. They come at you in waves.
They're going to cause a lot of problems here for

(02:51:40):
the rest of their opponents and hopefully round into a
championship defense.

Speaker 1 (02:51:45):
Guys, next week, Cumberland Valley comes the Rocker Attendee Stadium
is homecoming. Going to be quite the night over there,
as Rob you mentioned, some of the players coming back
and the celebrations taking place. It should be a great
night next Friday night.

Speaker 3 (02:51:57):
Yeah, really looking forward to it. We've been blessed so
far this year. Hopefully I'm not chinkxing anything. I haven't
looked at the long term forecast. We've had great weather
all year. We've had some lights that were pretty hot,
but just generally great weather for fans to come out.
So hopefully we'll get that again next Friday night.

Speaker 4 (02:52:15):
Marty, any final thoughts.

Speaker 2 (02:52:16):
Uh it was? I'm sure looking down at Coach Wector
and with the family down there, I'm sure he's glad
of this bus ride home this time.
