I mean, at least the flag came out early, so
it wasn't something it was thrown out late. It did
come out early, but it was a tough break for
the Crusaders.

So Mission V demon sets up on the thirty five

That was a Nazir Jones Davis. As you said, they

That was I'm just trying to see through my knockers.
That was an Azer j O Davis, and not a
good sign. He's just coming back from that ankle and
he limps off after one carry.

All right, second in about eight for the Crusaders. Sebastian
takes a two step drop looking for a receiver throws
out to the left side, hits his man at about
the forty five forty six yard line. That looks like

He has soft coverage there, giveing Gauge a nice cushion,
and he ran a precise route and as you said,
Sebastian on the money hit him and he was able

the Colts, who are mainly going to rely on the

Campbell miltchs was almost everywhere in the field last week.

It's a drop dropped up. Yeah, didn't didn't complete the
catch to the ground.

I like the play call though, Marty and little misdirection
play face, Yeah, exactly got him on the run rolling out,
got away from Tron Dennis and he had a he
had a big receiver six foot five target coming across,
just he didn't hold on to it.

I mean, different teams you know that we're going to
be talking about over the years. But that's always been
whether it's a tight end drag or a drag across
the middle like that. As you said, a misdirection always

be a long way to go. We're talking about thirteen

How was he able to do a little stutter step, was
able to look like he was gonna be able to

Cliff right now, excuse me. Three men spent to the
left side to one in the backfield. All the snap,
quarterback drops three steps. He's looking downfield trying to run
a seam route and it was over the head of

there was good coverage on that play. He did not
have any room at all.

It was Shaheed Clement, the senior corner who got the
start last week in place of Jamison Crummell who was
banged up. Clements gets a lot of playing time as
as the third corner.

Once again, that what we saw last week a lot
with Chambersburg where maybe the receiver gets a step and
the quarterback has to throw it a little quicker than
what he wants to.

End that rolls dead. It hits about the forty five,
rolls all the way across the fifty up to about
the forty six yard line. That's where the Crusaders will
have the ball in their own forty six.

Just to start McDevitt, one of guys we talked about
coming out, Barnes energized them. There, defense gets a three
and out and Cedarcliff, you know, they come into in
one last year. Very unusual JC you think of the
Colts as a fixture in the district playoffs. They did
not qualify last year at four and six, so they're
looking to bounce back, and after losing that opener to

their arrival red Land, this is a huge game for
them tonight.

Crusaders lineup one man on each side, actually two on
the left, one on the right, one in the backfield
with the bashi man comes back to the backfield. Now
we have two in the backfield. Barnes back there, hand
off the number three off the right tackle, and he
almost got away, nice little spin moved there, but the
Crusaders brought him down maybe a yard. Well they're gonna

Yet, number forty two Eightenarius the linebacker they have. But
they have a nice duo in the middle there with
Will Kocher, their leading tackler, and Aiden Arius, and they
flowed quickly to the ball and shut your room down

You know, I gotta say, rob When I looked at
the sheets at the beginning of the week at the lineups,
I saw these three eighty or yeah, three eighties from
Senior Cliff on the lineup and saying, man, they got
some big guys, but the Crusaders look like they're bigger.

right side, hits his man, shakes off a man, and
a receiver came. I should say the defensive guy came
back from behind on that play and it's a first
down for the Crusaders. They picked up twelve on them
on the pass.

Yeah, that was Ish Palmer number eight. Those quick feet, Marty,
he got hit initially, we kept those feet going and
picked up about three or three more yards.

Yep yep. So first and ten hand off on the
left side. Again, that's that sweet play off tackle across
the thirty five up to about the thirty four. That
looked like the similar to the play that they ran
earlier that went down almost inside the ten. And this
one is a pickup of eight yards.

You have Jerom LaRue Jr. The sophomore who had the
bulk of the carries last week with Jones Davis sidelined
with that angle, and tonight with him going out early.
You'll see Barnes and LaRue pretty much rotating.

Handoff. Sebastian goes to the right, hands off the Barnes
off the right tackle and it's the same play only
the other side. And again the Crusaders pick up Yarnings
out across the thirty out to about the twenty twenty
three yard line. It looks like pick up of eleven.

to work with.

middle again, this time bouncing out to the outside, around

he did, touchdown, Bishop mcdevon. That was easy. That was smooth.

What a cut by Jerome LaRue Jr. Jack Dawson the
full back in motion sprung him. But as you said,
Jac he bounced at too the outside and made a
really really nice cut about the fifteen and went down
the sideline and just stretched the ball.

The cut that he was already at full speed. That's
what impressed me.

That's the that's the rare quality that makes a truly
great back when you can make a cut like that
and not slow down at all.

So Cedar Cliff sets up on their own fifteen yard line.
Looks like the wing tee with one man in the
backfield tight ends on both sides. The man goes in motion,
comes back to the middle and stops. And this is
the old look like the quarterback draw and the official
strow flag. Somebody moods before they should. It might have

been the man in motion turned up and started heading
towards the line of scrimmage before the ball was snapped.

The things that happened and then.

And they were in a wildcat look there JC on
that play number twenty two land and how the tailback
was in there as a wildcat quarterback on that draw.

So that moves the ball back to inside the eleven

line up again man in the motion the same formation,
and they try it again back up the middle and
know where to go. If they got the yard, that'll
be a lot. You might get away with that once,

The defensive tackles there, Chris Thompson and Jakai Logan completely
stuffed that play at the bottom of the pile on RJ.
Duffy and Tyler Renhart also flew in there holding them

Yeah, they're saying, if you want to be this, you're
gonna have to throw it. They're trying to wide sweep

reminded me of the old Green Bay power sweep. Ye,

But again, I mean they're just not gonna even with
their size mcdebit is two athletic with the box stacked.
You can see even like RJ. Duffy penetrating again and
Nikhilan Smith, the strong safety, you also went on that tackle.

So again, this is gonna be third down in about
twelve yards to go. See the cliff needs to get
to about the twenty six yard line. Ball was snapped
the two step drop looking down the middle. This time
a swing passed. It was kind of a shade route
to the wide receiver and really it was in his hands.

little fake up the middle. They threw the ball to
the wide receiver and he tipped it. We caught it
and it was off to the other way.

That was Austin Mack for the Crusaders. That was right
there on the interception, bounced off the receivers shoulder pads.
Austin Mack was right there. Nobody able to just touch
him whatsoever. He just takes it into the end.

That reminded me of the Maryland tip drill that we
used to do in school. They just type it up

They've see that he got four and they really haven't
had too many positive.

Handoff actually fake handoff play action. They throw the ball
out to number eleven, a very very high throw that

end who as you said, he hinting, intentionally put it
up high right where Seacrest could go up and get it.

And seacrests had to turn and go up and he
did a really great job there. It was a very
athletic catch.

Guys, He's one of the guys the coach talked about
in the pregame that they had to stop handoff up
the middle, and this time they get through pick up
another five maybe close to six yards there, about five yards.

Yeah, that was their nicest run play of the game.
They actually had a hole there and Patrick right number
twenty one just tripped up. How after he picked up
four yards.

So to be second and five balls at the forty
seven yard line of Cedar Cliff. Second down play as
we wind down less than a minute and a half
in the first quarter, says, take the ball, quarterback, draw
up the middle again and that's the pistol play, and

this time they do get it first down across the
fifty out through about the forty five yard line before
they stop.

Yeah, they're heavily relying on this wildcat formation with land
and howl and another nice surge by the offensive line, Marty.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
They have found something that they like and they're gonna,
you know, they're gonna keep running it for now and
you can't blame them.

Yeah, mcdevin has to adjust to it. This is reminiscent
of a few years ago. To remember when Cedar Cliff
pulled this out with Bobby Whalen, who ended up hilling
baseball in Louisville, and they just ran up and down
the field with the wildcat on us.

So it's first and ten ball in the Bishop mc
demit forty five. They faked the ball, tried to go
down the middle, and it's a squeeze play as the
safety in the quarterback squeeze the wide receiver that was
number two of Cedar Cliff, and they could not make
that happen at all.

Owen Anastasi the six foot senior double coverage. Nice job
there by Akielan Smith and arp right breaking it up.

Yeah, yeah, I know it was double coverage. The ball
was well prone. It would have been a very very
tough catch.

I think you heard the footsteps on that one side
chose that has the ball hand off up the middle

line of Bishop mc devitt.

Yeah, another big hole in Zach Brown, number four, senior

And they're kind of catching if you say this a

To Jay C's point, what we really saw the last
five minutes is even if something was working for Cedar Cliff,
they're not afraid to just go away notable, right, and
you know they're running the ball and then they'll come
back with the pass or you know, go back to
the run. So they're not afraid of, you know, trying
different things, trying to catch mcdebitt maybe in a set

that would allow for a long touchdown.

I'm not going to give Cedar Cliff credit for this,
but it's almost like they go to the line of scrimmage,
they see it and say, oh, they're in that defense
and we're gonna throw it, or they're loaded the box,
