you talk talked about McDevitt running thegauntlet the start the year. Third straight
win against a good team, thisrecently a forty seven twenty one win.

Forty seven twenty one win over LasouCollege last Friday night here Rocker Attensio Stadium.
In that game, Stone Saunders fifteento twenty three, three hundred and
thirty three yards. He had fourpassing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Rico
Scott eight receptions two hundred and elevenyards and a pair of touchdowns for Rico

in that game, third straight game, McDevitt fell behind. They were down
fourteen six, took the lead fourteenat the half, and then pretty much
controlled the second half. The Explorersdid come down to make it twenty seven
twenty one, but McDevitt would answerback quickly on a sixty nine yard touchdown
pass Rico Scott and in a seventytwo yard or to Chase Reagan chasing that

game had two receptions seventy six yardsand the touchdown as well, And looking
at some of the defensive numbers fromlast week as well, ty Kephart ten
tackles. J R. Rowlison seventackles, He had that fumble recovery that
he took to the house from fortyfive yards out, Jayden Garden seven tackles,
Maurice Barnes seven tackles, and LucasSlawller four tackles in the game from

McDevitt. But another team victory lastweek, Marty, it really was a
team victory yard of it. It'sreally good to you to point that out
because that's exactly what it was thatwe discussed after the game. There were
somebody fasts of the game that wentso well that we had. We were
throwing players of the game. Wecould have given out about thirty five of
them. But yeah, McDevitt onceagain down had to come from behind.

They did, and you know,they mixed in the running game a little
bit. They had a couple ofthe long passes. They had the fumble
recovery for a return for a touchdown, so they had some long plays,
but they also handled the running gameand against a very good lists out team.

So very very pleased with the performancelast week out of Bishop McDevitt.
They got through those three non leaguegames at the beginning of the year and
for a little bit of a refresherCoach Rector and I talked before week one
and was one of those deals whereout of those three games, you could

each week playing them one game atIt's odd Palmyra comes in here tonight two
and one. They defeated Lebanon inweek one fifty one seven and lost to
East Pennsburg twenty eight fourteen last weeka dramatic win down at Donegal, so
kind of a crazy week for theCougars. They go and play game on
Friday, They get a quarter anda half of the game in and then

they have to go back on Saturdayand finish the game, they throw an
interception. Their quarterback Ryan Kowawski hada pass tipped, so they fall behind
fourteen seven with less than five minutesleft in the game. They come back
though on a pass to Eli Rosewhich went sixty nine yards tie up the
game. Their defense gets a threeand out and then Braxton Risser lunges in

Mount Troy. So that gave theCougars their second win of the year and

a team from Jersey, strong teamout of Philly. Three really big
games came out three and l Howare you feeling this week? I mean,
I feel elated because, you know, as I've said, you know,
especially after the e scrimmage, wecould be all three and I want
to stay title. You know,I've been in the Midpenn League here for

twenty six years. I can't rememberany team, definitely not US, but
any team playing as schedule like wejust got through. You know, some
teams have played one or two gameslike that, but not three. I
mean, when you look at MountSaint Joseph's number nine in the state of
Maryland's Paul Catholic number three in thestate of New Jersey, and a very

good LaSalle team with some Division one, especially on offense, come in here
as sixteenth best team in the statea PA. I mean, that's like
you said, that's a gauntlet,and you know, what I was really
is pleased is how we did it. You know, we were down in
all games, the first two onein the fourth quarter, the other one

back and forth, but down bigat halftime, and then this one down
in the first quarter. I justthink that just builds heart on our team
and and really lets us know we'renever out of a game, and that
will these three games will help usfor the playoffs. And you know we're
a little banged up, uh,you know, you know, come out

of that. So you know,we were very light this week, especially
with a quick turnaround to tonight.Each instead of usually a Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesdays are to our practices.We've put those down. You know,
each day it was an hour andfifteen minutes. You know, there's some

things we want to work on movingforward, a few things with our offense,
few things with our defense, butyou know, you don't have time
to put that in this week.And you know, the biggest thing for
our team is they just they youknow, they need a little bit of
a break. And so but yeah, coming out coming out of that,

I mean it's uh, I mean, it's unbelievable. We came out at
three and oh thought less saw wasmentioning up the fronts. Is that something
you were ready for it? Theywere throwing some three mans for four man
You know, I can't throw uswith five man friends. If they did
a good job, I mean,we prepared for that. We pit prepared

because last year they played a lotof four man front. But they got
into a little bit of a afifty in heavy art set in our heavy
set, you know, in ourdouble tight, double flacker, and then
they against spread they got into lastyear a three stack. Now I've heard
that they I know they got anew offensive coordinator. I heard they got
a new defensive coordinator. The onewe didn't see on film this year was

a three four to spread. Butthey did some good things up front.
It was a little bit. Butwhat they did is, you know what,
it's hard for any high school footballoffensive line, especially when and as
an inexperienced as they did what's calledstemming. They lined up in one front
and when we start our a cadence, they slid to another front, which

your kids have to pick that upreally quick. I mean you're talking like
a split second before the ball issnapped, and that's hard to do.
That's hard to do in the NFL. And so that's why, you know,
I feel we got off to alittle bit of slow start and hopefully
tonight, you know, we needto get off on both offense and defense
off to a better start. Butyou know, I'll speak for the offense.

Is it's a third game in arow. We came out and saw
something different than what we saw onfilm, and it takes a little bit.
It usually takes about two to threeseries until myself, you know,
Jake Minnick and Brighton, we geta good kind of feel what they're doing.
Coach Barry helps us out a littlebit up in the box with that.

But once I mean we've kind ofproven you know, all three games.
Once we kind of get a beatof what you're doing, you know,
we find a way to attack it. So yeah, they did a

the ball on defense. Yeah,I mean we had we had one breakdown

on you know, they ran aplay we called Kentucky Hitch and they called
Stevie Davis on a rail on ourlinebarract kind of caught up inside, you
know, and it went for atouchdown. But after that, I thought
we really settled down. I mean, you're gonna give us some points.
I mean, that's a big timequarterback with the visual one offers. Number

three is a big time receiver witha lot of division, one of very
accurate, very good receiver. Youknow, he made some great throws.
But you know, uh the McFaddenhid number three, he made some catches.
I mean the one on our sideline, we had great coverage. I
mean he just reached out, stillkept his foot in and made it one
hand to ground and it looked likekind of like an Obi jactchuh. So,
credit to them and credit to ourdefense for coming up. I mean,

nick so logic has been doing agood job on offense. But I
mean I think he has like foursacks now. Uh, you know him
and Lucas Lawler are doing a greatjob outside. You know, we got
a good rotation going on in thedefensive tackles. Uh kepts playing very very
well. Uh Seldi and Marie's Barnsat linebacker. You know, in the
secondary. I mean again, sometimesyou'll look and you think, but you

know, those are two really goodquarterbacks and two really good, uh receiving
carters we faced the last two weeksand yeah, fought air wash. I
gave him one of the rich watsjust so to speak. But I thought
he was all over the field defensively. He did a great job. I
mean he you know, on thefumble, he stripped it. I think
never recovered a special teams and hestripped it like three times. And then

I mean again, you know,the whistle didn't blow, and I'm like
trying to yell, then we couldhear me pick up the ball because they
didn't blow the whistle. And Gyreis smart enough. He had such a
good football sense. You know hewent and picked it up and run for
a touchdown. Yeah, we alljust what exactly we were discussing that up
there? What exactly did everybody thinkhappen? They people, the kids on

the field thought it was incompletion,right, That's what we thought. But
they ruled it to catch and itwas close, And but the key was
no official blew the whistle to sayit was agably pat They just they can't
say, go pick up the ball. Hey we ruled out a fumble.

They just have to wait and ifnobody picks it up eventually they're gonna blow
it dead and it will go backto the offense. And I thought that's
about what they were gonna do.And Jared just came in out of nowhere,
you know, snuck in, pickedthe ball up and went, yeah,
I mean the way they call ittoday nowadays, it didn't look like
it was going to be an incompletion, but totally and I don't that's kind
of what I thought, said onthe sideline, but when you watch a

film, so I wanted to know, it's kind of it's bang bang play
Where did he make a football movewith two steps? And it's very close,
so I could see if they calledit either way. Okay, Paul
Ira to night the falls here,that's gotta be a relief. Uh,
you know, the good weather.What are we looking for tonight? Yeah,

you know we're first of all,we're happy. You know, all
three games were very human humidities downtonight. So you know, looking at
the film last year, you know, you know, brought back some bad
memories. We just we came offthat big win against Osau last years,
were feeling themselves a little bit anduh took them lightly and and you know

we played as bad as first halfas we have in twenty years here at
first quarter as we had at BitchMcDevitt. I mean, we were just
we couldn't get out of our ownway. We made every mistake possible.
They were kind of running their mouthsa little bit, and you know it's
like, guys, you have nothingto do with us because everything we had

called, everything was there. Wejust were that bad. Now we got
to going in the second quarter andyou know, ended up taking our starters
out. They went through the thirdat forty nine three. But so you
know, I'm looking at it.I've been harping on the guys all week.
Is listen. You know, weyou know, we expect to win
this football game, but it's abouthow we do it. We gotta get

better each week. And that's whatwe have to do, is just you
know, focus on some things.There's there's some things we want to clean
up, uh, some pass prokethings. You know, there's a reason
why, you know, two ofour best runs, the power and the
counter off of it, our realstaples in our offense, and we're not

we're not getting much yardage out ofthem. And we know the reason why.
And we've practiced on it again.It's been a very short we could
practice so you know, much time. But the first thing we did Monday
is working, you know, withwith them pinching. You know, our
poller, whether it be a fullbackor the backside guard. So in the

power it's a fullback and the backsideguards coming and cleaning up inside that block.
All right. If it's a counter, it's a guard kicking out and
the fullback leading up through. Butwhat's happening is everybody's pinching, so much
on us is whoever is kicking out. Dan has to do what's called log

them, which is you kind ofall right, they're inside now, they
can't get outside. And what's happeningis the backside pull or whether it be
the guard or the full back isjust going up in a big mess.
They have to see that and comeout around it and set as the back.
You know. The other issue isour backs are getting a little bit
too tight, our full backs gettingtoo tight. They can't see it.

So we worked on moving them backa little bit, just a little adjustments
that, you know, because atsome point, you know, we're going
to need the run game to wina game, and we have to get
better you know, we have twoyoung backs and we got a young offensive
line. But there's things you know, when you we have bread and butter,
you have to you have to beable to do it no matter what

they do. And so that's thethings we're working on. So fast to
