Art Selby, Marty b Upa Glease and Eli Wessler back
in the Fox Sports fourteen sixty views. We're on top
of the press box here, I'm here in York and
(01:02):
we're getting ready for football. And guys, I always love
to say it, Bish and mcdebit football on the air.
When last we spoke over chapman Field Cumberland Valley High
School State championship on the line, and Bisha mcdebit aiden
Grella would convert the game winning field goal and over
time as Bishop mcdebit walked off with its second state
championship in three years. Of course, they are the five
(01:24):
A state champions and looking to defend that and win
three out of four this year. Marty and Robb, I
guess before we get into our interview of coach Jeff Wecktor,
just quick final thoughts on that state championship last year.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Ark, you were the one who saw it because you
watched the refs. I saw it get tipped, lost it
after that, didn't know what was good until you hollered
state champions.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
It was an unforgettable night and just so many ups
and downs in that game. Ultimately, that mcdebit team really
was not going to be They showed, you know, no
matter what adversity came their way that night, they weren't
going to be denied. They made the plays when they
had to are. It was an all time classic. Really, obviously,
(02:12):
any any overtime game in a state championship is an
all time classic. But it was a fitting ends to
Stone Saunders in Lucas Lawler's career. And now we begin
a new chapter today, yep.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
But of course none of that means anything today is
we're starting the new season here. Everybody zero and zero
start the year. Vision mcdebit still really talented a lot
of players back. Of course, they had to replace Stone Saunders.
Sebastian Williams, the junior quarterback, will step in for Vision mcdebit.
This clerk's the North team. Definitely not what you refer
to as as a cupcake. They're a good, solid, well
(02:43):
coached football team. They're big and now they will definitely
put on a test here for Vision mcdebit. It's a
very sunny day here. Obviously, we'll check the weather forecast
here for you, and then when we return, Marty Bowman
did an excellent interview. If head coach Jeff Wector actually
posted that up on the website out there you can
hear the entire thing. We'll play part of that here
for you in the pregame show. So let's take our
(03:04):

and then we rereturn web Marty's interview of coach Wector.

This is Bishop mcdebit football twenty twenty five on Fox
Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Pila by the championship coach Jeff Wecter. Jeff wanted to
get that in there. I know you don't too much
for the accolades and all that. I wanted to get
that in there so you win it all. I got
to talk about the winning field goal from my viewpoint,
Art and Rob's viewpoint up in the press box. Your viewpoint, Okay,
first you tell me and I'll tell you what I
(05:00):
I saw her.
Speaker 10 (05:00):
It didn't say I didn't see it go over.
Speaker 11 (05:05):
But then I saw our guys running on the field
and it was kind of like the Harrisburg game. I
thought that was in so and then I looked back
and I saw the two officials at the goal post
put their hands up.
Speaker 10 (05:17):
So it's still even hard to see from a sideline angle.
I was.
Speaker 11 (05:24):
Not down there because we have to stay on the
twenty five. But I was right at the twenty five
yard line. The best angle I saw was when I
watch the game on TV. Is from the end zone,
you saw, Oh yeah it did cross is It's even
hard from the sideline of ye on film to see.
So but yeah it you know, A say, it was
a little nervous, but you know he was a good
(05:47):
kicker for us all year and and uh, you know,
happy to you know, just win another state title.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Did I imagine a tip? I thought I saw tip,
but once I saw the tip, if it wasn't it
the ball disappeared from.
Speaker 11 (06:00):
It was tipped. Yeah, it was tipped. He got a
lot normally one of the things that he does really well.
I gets the ball high, real fast. I think, just nerves.
It was love, but yeah it was tipped.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Yeah, and Art did the right thing. Art didn't see it,
but he saw the rest and all of a sudden
he just starts stucking state champs. Because I couldn't find
the ball after the tip, and I figure was gonna
be laying on the ground somewhere. Yeah, so yeah, great way.
I mean, I know, you know you know me that
I'm thinking, You're never gonna win a state championship.
Speaker 10 (06:27):
On a field goal.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
But hey, you're blessed with a kicker here, for sure.
Speaker 10 (06:31):
We are. He's a great one. All right.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So new year, Well, first off, he took a couple
of weeks off right, kind of when that was all over,
it just kind of just rested a little bit away
from football.
Speaker 10 (06:41):
Yeah, you know, I kind of went back and forth.
Speaker 11 (06:44):
You know, I'm getting up there in age, and you know,
there's always a thought of, you know, don't want to retire,
you know, as a state championships or something. Except for that,
I really I talked to a lot of I talked
to some friends at coach in the NFL.
Speaker 10 (07:03):
I talked to a friends of you know, coaches in college,
head coach.
Speaker 11 (07:08):
And you know, I had two days after Christmas, I
had dinner with Chris Caller, our former defensive coordinator, talked
to him about it, and I wasn't sure one day
I was going to come back. One day it wasn't.
But then, you know, honestly, the the podcasts, because when
when we did the podcast with you guys on the UH,
(07:32):
I did mine on phone because of you know, I
wanted to be home, you know, I lived down north
of Manhin instead of UH coming back up here. Uh
So it was a couple of weeks until you know,
I didn't hear what the kids said.
Speaker 10 (07:45):
So it was a couple of weeks.
Speaker 11 (07:46):
So the podcast came out, and when I finally listened
to it, one of the things that that you know
I heard. You know, the last question about Robert macleeze
was what's your favorite memory to our four captains of
the state cham up your career at mcdevin. And someone's like, well,
you know, maybe the first play of the state championship
game in twenty two. Then he goes, Yo, what nobody
(08:08):
expect us to win it this year? I'll say this
year came to Lucas Lawlor and I fell out of
my chair and Lucas said the trip to the Grado,
and I just took it as a sign from God.
Speaker 10 (08:22):
You know, my time's not over.
Speaker 11 (08:24):
You know, wins are great, Stan shape, straight state championships
are unbelievable, but it's not why I do it. Had
chance to go to college, you know, Division one and
be assistant coach. My job is, I felt God put
me on this earth is to help out high school kids.
(08:45):
And we don't talk a lot about our trip to
the grotto or our senior retreat. But there's some quite
a bit of religion in there, and usually guy says
life changing. And when Lucas said that, I said, you
know what, that's my sign, you know, is I gotta stay.
And I'm happy I did. I'm excited for this year.
Speaker 10 (09:05):
Well that's good. You got that out of the way.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
For all the people that asked me throughout the year, well,
does he ever talk to you about retired? Is he
going to retire?
Speaker 10 (09:11):
Is this it? Really really thought about it?
Speaker 11 (09:14):
Yeah, but again it's Scott's playing, not mine.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
And we get talked briefly even before the championship game,
and I knew there's something that you were going to
think about, you know, after it was over.
Speaker 10 (09:25):
Yeah, but it was a good, good atmosphere to think
about it.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Exciting state championship game, senior class. I am so used
to when we come in here and senior night seeing
twelve maybe thirteen seniors. You know how it always turns
that way, but it does. Twenty seven twenty eight, I mean.
Speaker 11 (09:41):
Yeah, I think we're up to twenty eight. Yeah, it's
it's good. It's a lot of guys have played a
lot of football. Yeah, especially in our program. So we're
excited again about them and excited about the team this year.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Did it make it a little easier through camp? I'm
having these this leadership from some of these guys with
the younger guys that help.
Speaker 10 (10:01):
Did you notice that? Yeah, I mean they did. As
a group.
Speaker 11 (10:04):
Still looking for those couple that really stand out and
take the leadership. I mean they got you know, just
says in twenty three that team had, you know, something
to live up to with Riil of Rebel's leadership and
this team. You know what Stone and Lucas Lawler did
for us last year is you know they kind of
set the bar and so waiting for somebody to reach
(10:27):
that bar other than your class.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yeah, you know in game five, I'm probably gonna ask
you afterwo or three guys step stepped up. Yet you
got to target on your back?
Speaker 10 (10:38):
Have you discussed that much?
Speaker 11 (10:40):
Yeah, I mean we talked about a little bit, but
you know, we you always have to feel we got
to target. We're we talked about where everybody's super Bowl,
so we always play with that target.
Speaker 10 (10:50):
What we did talk a lot.
Speaker 11 (10:51):
About is is went in in twenty two and then
what happened in twenty three and complacency setting in, and
we're trying not to let that happen this year. And
you know we're trying not to you know, I mean obviously,
you know, it'll be a little ceremony before the first
home game in a couple of weeks when we play
at Chambers Burke. But after that, you know, and we've
(11:15):
done a better job not talking about winning a state
title last year. You know, every year is a new year,
and we're back like everybody else wears zero and zero,
you know until later today, but we're zero and zero.
Nobody cares that we're the twenty four state championships championship team.
Speaker 10 (11:32):
Everybody wants to knock us off.
Speaker 11 (11:33):
So we did talk about that, but you know, we
as we do every year, we just keep on talking
about getting better every day.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Oh wait, when I first met you, I remember that
mammoth locker room where we do those interviews about an
eight by twelve, but the old blackboard, we'll say two
thousand and eight state champions No excuses, I don't get
in the locker room here. Is that up every year here?
Speaker 10 (11:57):
No? You know, we just it kind of that kind
of state of twenty two hundred. Marcus straight.
Speaker 11 (12:03):
I mean we've we put some stuff up, but not
so much like we did there. But you know it's
always a goal here, hey.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
For sure, and we'll have more of Marty and coach
Jeff Wecktor right after this. You're listening to the Bish
mcdevid pregame show here in Fox Sports fourteen sixteen.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
You're listening to Fisher mcgibbitt football on Fox Sports fourteen
sixty and iHeartRadio.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
We now rejoin the Fisher mcdebit pregame show as Marty's
talking of Fish mcdebit head coach Jeff Wector.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
So, defense, been.
Speaker 10 (13:37):
A lot of talk about the defense. Let's touch on
that a little bit day.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Peers like it's going to be a strong defense from
from front to back.
Speaker 10 (13:45):
We hope. So, I mean there's a lot of experience back.
I mean when you look at you know what we
have back. You know on the defensive front, we just
essentially lost Lucas Lawler. That's a loss. Yeah, fell those hits,
big loss.
Speaker 11 (14:02):
But you know, and then you know a couple of
guys that played some safety, you know, uh Dante Luckett,
uh Jayden Garns and uh Darius Dslis uh you know,
and we lost Vinnie Brooks who was playing great.
Speaker 10 (14:22):
But you know, in the same token is R J R.
Speaker 11 (14:26):
J Duffy played eight games last year, including all the
playoffs in the state championship game, so he's back.
Speaker 10 (14:31):
You know, Maurice has been a four year starter. Maurice Barnes.
Speaker 11 (14:35):
Chris Thompson had a great regular season for US, but
couldn't play in the playoffs. So he's good to go
the whole year now. Jackai Logan played some a lot
of defensi attackle last year. You look, we had a
lot of rotation with David mount Teesnik will Yost and
Spencer Mussy rolled in there.
Speaker 13 (14:54):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (14:56):
Jack Dawson played there a little bit up front. Swoops
is back. He played a lot of linebacker. We're excited
about Zach Brown, who played in our youth program, and
you know, we finally got him and and he's he's
he's gonna do a lot of great things for us.
Speaker 10 (15:11):
You know.
Speaker 11 (15:11):
Then you look at the secondary. Tyler Ronhart's back committed
Division one. Jamison Crummels back started for US at corner.
Then you look at the other corner. Austin Mack played
a lot last year as a freshman, so he Clement
played a lot last year, couldn't play the playoffs. Uh,
you know, Kaitlyn Smith played a lot. Kailyn had an
(15:33):
interception in the state championship game. So we got some
other guys too. You know, is Palmer besides being a
great kicking punt return you know, he played some nickel
for us, and you remember the CD game he had
to pick six. So we have all those guys back.
So we're really excited about the defense. You know, as
I've said, is we hope that they play well enough
(15:53):
that they can kind of carry us early in the
season to our offense catches up to the defense.
Speaker 10 (15:58):
Let's go to the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
In my eighteen years here, it's almost been two years,
two years, two years, you're always starting to except for
Maddie Johnson at the beginning and of course Stone for
four years, a little bit different this year. You had
four years where well after the very first year you
had an experienced quarterback. Now you're back to you got
to bring Sebastian Williams in. Let's talk a little bit
about him.
Speaker 11 (16:20):
Sepacially has a lot of talent, he has good arm strength,
He's a very intelligent young man.
Speaker 10 (16:28):
You know.
Speaker 11 (16:29):
It's uh, there's a lot to learn in our offense.
I mean, it is, truly, it's why our guys. You know,
you look at Arico Scott playing as a true freshman
in the bowl game, starting for Alabama and looking to
be playing a lot this year. You know, you look
at our guys over the you know, Shady McCoy walk
right into h Pitt and played. You know, it is,
(16:51):
you know, more like a college offense. You know, now
we're not going you know, the last two years, Soon
Sounders had the key keys to the offense, because the
car keys to the offense, because he he could do
so much. Two, I can't expectatia. It's almost like going
(17:13):
back to Stone's freshman year, even though Sebastian's been our
JV player quarterback for the last two years. It's just
as non JV football as varsity football, big time football.
So you know, we'll, we'll the offense will look a
little more similar to Stone's freshman year than to his
senior year. I'm not saying you know that, but you know,
(17:36):
he he's not ready to make some of the checks
on the line of scrimmage. And it's just not run
pass plays, it's line protections and things like that. So
I think maybe a little earlier off in the summer,
I probably put a.
Speaker 10 (17:50):
Little bit too much on the plate. We backed off.
Speaker 11 (17:52):
I thought he had a good scrimmage last week, and.
Speaker 10 (17:56):
So we're going to just bring him along.
Speaker 11 (17:58):
And you know, it's just not him, it's you know,
we lost two very good offensive tackles and Landon Block
and JJ Torres, So we have two inexperienced guys right now.
You know, Chris Thompson can fill in a little bit.
And you know the two guys right now starting are
Aiden mctish uh. You know, longtime mcdebit fans will remember
(18:20):
his father get the quarterback and John played here his
father John coach on the first couple of stats of mind.
And then you know sophomore Aiden uh uh Andre.
Speaker 10 (18:33):
Maina uh is the other starter right now.
Speaker 11 (18:36):
But Eli Culpepper, who's new to mcdebit, you know, he's
coming along and he'll get some playing time. And you know,
if one of those guys needs a little more seasoning,
because you know it's tough to first games. Uh, Chris
Thompson can play some offensive tackle for us. And we
got a couple other guys that have done well, uh,
you know that that can fill in.
Speaker 10 (18:57):
Uh No Cobb, David Smith. So you will get there.
You know.
Speaker 11 (19:03):
It's just wish it was a little bit not quite
so tough as these two games as we're going to face.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
I always tell people that when they're talking to me
about foot part of me, you can never have enough
lineman because they get rolled up one yeah and boom there.
Speaker 10 (19:16):
You never have enough.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
So all right, jump over a little bit to the
running game. You got two three, four guys back there. Uh,
you gotta have enough footballs.
Speaker 10 (19:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (19:27):
I mean they did a good job last year understanding
sometimes we went with the hot hand, you know, obviously
you know, and I've talked to the other two running
backs and they know that your Jones Davis is a
bell cow.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (19:41):
You know, last year up until probably the state semifinals,
you know, we split the carriers that actually going into
that game that had the exact amount Carris and we
didn't play it like that just worked out. Uh, and
then the zero got the hot hand in the last
two games.
Speaker 10 (19:57):
He played a lot more.
Speaker 11 (19:59):
I kind of see more of that this year with
Marie doing some good things, you know, and then uh,
you know, Jerome I think is you know, he got
some time last year as a freshman, but I think
he's even more ready this year, so you know, and
then you know, we have you know, a new player
that came in from Minnesota, Patrick Wright, who's going to
(20:23):
play some defense for us, but you know, he's I'm
not sure we're gonna need him, but he's a pretty
good running back. And uh, we like a freshman. You
might know the last name, Leyden Parsons. Leon's younger brother
is a freshman. He again is playing a lot of defense,
but we like him at running back also, So future
(20:44):
is really bright there. But the future is right now. Also,
you know, with Maurice and the Zier being seniors, and
then you know Jerome having varsity experience. So I feel
really good about the run game.
Speaker 10 (20:58):
There's two new tackles.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
As far as the pass game really important because you
got the new quarterback and you want them to have
time to throw, time to read in that.
Speaker 10 (21:06):
Yeah, I thought they did.
Speaker 11 (21:07):
A pretty good job in the scrimmage, but that's a scrimmage,
you know, because we have a pretty good defensive ends,
you know.
Speaker 10 (21:14):
And what I didn't even mention in.
Speaker 11 (21:16):
The in the defensive part, Tron Dennis. He started the
second half of the year, including state championship as a
freshman and Toronto's gotten bigger and better and faster. I
think he's gonna have a real big year for us.
And our offensive tackles did a pretty good job with him.
Now we limited you know that, we didn't do stunts
or anything like that, but they worked along. Even though
(21:39):
Zach Brown's gonna play some linebacker, He's also gonna play
some defensive end. Last year for CD East he played
almost exclusively defensive end and in the end up I
think with like fifteen sacks in eleven games. So it
helps our young tackles because you know, they're going up
against quality guys every day in practice and it's made
them better.
Speaker 10 (22:00):
Look at today, Clarkson North. If I'm saying that right, yes,
we're gonna have our hands. Well, this is a good
football team.
Speaker 11 (22:07):
I think sometimes people think, oh it's just a team
coming down from Canada, they're not that good. Now this team,
they're big and they're good. They're very well coached. You know,
I'm I'm like a little surprised how well coached they are.
They do a lot of good things. They got some
athletes so beginning of the year.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
So yeah, so folks that are listening out there when
you're there Saturday. Don't take this, Oh, they're a Canadian
football team. You heard it from the coach. Do not
take it for granted, and do not expect it to
be over early.
Speaker 10 (22:38):
No, this is this is Uh. They're a really good
football team.
Speaker 11 (22:42):
They're big, they're athletic, they're fast, they're physical, and we'll
coach so No, this is this will be a big
test for.
Speaker 10 (22:50):
Us and the first two weeks are going to be monsters.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
We'll talk about the week two next week. Thanks coach,
appreciate it, Thanks Martin.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
And we'll have more of the bish mcdeviit pre game
show right after this. You're listening to Bish mcdavitt football.
You're on Fox Sports fourteen sixteen IRO Radio.

a Green Spring Advisors winning game plan. Guys. From my
point of view, Bishop mcdebitt needs to slow down the
running game of Clarks and North, and I think for
mcdebit establish a running game early on take some of
the pressure off the new quarterbacks of Astian Williams.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
All Right, I agree mcdebbitt will probably lean on the
run early. This defense, with nine starters back, should be
absolutely dominant. It's difficult when you don't know how to
prepare for an opponent, but from all indications, Clark's and
North has some guys for sure, great size, physicality. They
will try to run the.
Speaker 1 (24:43):

Speaker 1 (26:00):
The field with your game announcers Art Selby, Rob Puglice
and Marty Bowman.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
All right, welcome back to small field here, and you'reck
apologize for the technics, bish mcdebit, we'll receive as it
looks like the charge will kickoff going right to left
here at Smallsfield, guys. And it is very windy and
breezy up here on the press box roof here at Smallsfield.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Between the noise and the wind. This will be an
interesting broadcast for us.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
If you wanted a young quarterback to get a test,
he's going to get a test with his win right
off the bat. Of course you get used to playing
up on the hill in sixty first Street, but.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Yeah, it was not count on November type win today and.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Here's the kickoff. This will sail out of the back
of the end zone and no chance for Bisho mcdebit
to return that thing. Ish Palmer was back deep there.
I believe that action. It might have been j Johntay,
I think was back deep, guys. There was it? Okay.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
I actually expect to see a lot of that kickoffs
in and through the end zone here with the kickers
we have today.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
So vision mcdebit with the gold jerseys, the blue numbers,
white pants with the blue and gold trim, and obviously
the typical unusual gold helmets. And for Clerks and North
they come out here with gray uniforms with red numbers,
red stripes down the side, and black helmets. Sebastian Williams
leads the offense out here for Bishop mcdebit. He's got
two wide receivers on the near side, one to the
(27:20):
far one back in the backfield. Sebastian surveys the defense
and this will be a handoff to Swoop. Swoops over
the left side, gets up to about the twenty seven
yard line of Knights. Run there for Richard Bisher mcdebit.
On the first play of the game.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Guys, yeah, Swoops went off the left guard behind land
and Colbert. Here returns this year that middle of the
line with Landern, Colbert, Jude Slover the senior center, and
Jakhi Logan the senior right guard are all back. Then
the tackles are new eight mctitch at left tackle and
Andre Maina, a sophomore at right tackle.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Second and two for Bishop mcdebitt. Two wide receivers to
the near side again one of the far one back
in the backfield, and they plan to hand this one
off to Swoops, but the rest will top play here.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
Actually, Gage Ruth I think lost his mouthpiece and he
was trying to get a time out. I didn't see
a flag come out. Yeah, the defender was actually literally
right on the line of scrimmage with him. Yeah he did.
He went off side, So.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Okay, that'll be a first down for Vision mcdebit.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
I know during the cadence, Gage was out here, dropped
his mouthpiece. He was getting it up at thirty three,
was right in his face and so apparently for the
ref he stepped off sides.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Yeah, number thirty three a manual kragatzils actually checking Omeo
Thomas six y two corner. Good size on.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Him, gauging quick. The white out's on the near side
here for Bishop mcdebit. Here's another hand off the Swoops
on the near side. He's got the thirty five and
gets up to the thirty nine or so. So another
nice game there for Bision mcdebit. On first down, just.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
A power there where they pulled the both guard and
big Jakai Logan, three hundred pounds of him, led the
way and he just he blocks everything out. Party, Yes he.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Does this time quick and gage roof will go out
on the far side. It's Harold Holton junior on the
near side here for vision mcdebit, swoops lines up to
the right Sebastian in the backfield and they will hand
this one off to Swoops and this time, oh, he
looked like he was gonna be taken down and cut up,
(29:27):
was gonna take it to the house. But they blow
it dead back somewhere around the thirty yard line. I'd
like to see it replay that one.
Speaker 5 (29:36):
Yeah, it was hard to tell. They sent two linebackers
up the middle and throw both the a gaps. Too many,
too many guys for mersaders to pick up. They're so
a loss of four.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
I think anticipating that, I think they know mc debit's
going to run early as much as they can to
help the junior quarterbacks settle in. And they finally just said,
you know what we're bringing bringing a couple of gappers there.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
It's third and eight from it debit. Three white outs
to the far side, one to the near one back
in the backfield to the rate of Sebastian. Sebastian back
to pass, dumps one quickly to the outside. Here he
swoops has it. He's up over the forty to the
forty five to the forty six and they will have a
first down.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Vision mcdebbit, great execution on that play there, Jude slow
over the center getting out and again Jakai Logan perfectly executed.
Jakai made the key block pick up of eleven on
that screen, and they're moving the sticks.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
A couple of these plays, guys. Swoops really showing some balance. Yeah, Yeah,
he's broken some tackles and broke that tackle that would
have went for a long with what they said he
was down. So but he's really showing some ballance.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
First and ten from the forty six to one white
out to each side. It's a power formation to run
up the middle to Barnes this time and short guarded Jennifer.
Barnes picks up a couple. It'll be about second and
maybe a long seven for vision mcdebbit.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Different look there as he went up under center and
the handoff to Barnes coming right up behind him.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Yeah, both Barnes and Swoops both of them bigger, thicker,
faster than last year. Good luck to the defenses. They're
going to try to tackle both of these guys.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
So that's what I said to Swoops when I saw
him downstairs. I said, Ben, you got thicker guy.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Yeah, he put on about fifteen pounds in all good
and Reese just like a grown man.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
No, Mkevin'll go with three wide outs on the far side,
Liam Fuller out there. Now he'll go in motion and
come back to the middle of the line, and here's
another handoff for mcdebitt to Barnes and nowhere to go
for Barnes this time as they take him down at
about the forty nine, mcdevid will have a third down
and seven coming up.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
There's really no gain on that, I think.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
Yeah, a nice flow by the Clark's and North Chargers
linebackers there, very quick to the ball. They're really playing aggressively.
The way that defense is playing, the way the linebackers
are coming Marty, it's going to set up a lot
of play action for mcdebit, I think, is his game
goes on.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Zach Brown comes in at a tight end spot for
the Crusaders.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Fuller checked out is Palmer out checked in for mcdebit.
So Crusaders will come with a Holton junior on the
near side. Crusaders with three wide outs on the far side.
Barn's in there to the left of Sebastian. They threaten
the blitz, and here's a quick pass to the outside,
and this one is incomplete. It is just a little
(32:21):
bit low there and behind the receiver. And now mcdevid
will have a fourth down and seven clock stops, seven
forty three left to play. First quarter, no score in
the game, and now mcdebit will hunt here.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
Apparently, ye Ish Palmer probably would like to have that back.
He could have easily pulled that in and only had
one defender to beat, but it's short of bobbled it.
Tried to tried to pull it in and just didn't
make the catch.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
So Gorilla on the punch for Bish mcdebit standing at
about his thirty six yard line. It's a high snap
and he does get it off a nice punt. This
one will be caught at the eighteen yard line, and
we turned up to about still on his feet up
to the thirty six yard line. That is a number
of thirty two list Evan Healey. So a nice return
(33:08):
there for the Chargers guys.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Credit Gorilla there. I mean that's the first punt of
the year. There was a lot of pressure. There was
a lot of a great jersey's coming at him, and
he got off a good punt. Unfortunately for Bisho mc debbitt,
they missed a tackle and so puts Clarks the north
in good field position.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Yeah, Campbell Milch, number fourteen, the senior, was one of
the first ones down there. I thought he had a
shot to make a tackle. I didn't see who else missed,
but Grella himself had to knock him out. So thirty
three yard punt and about an eighteen yard return.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Here come the Chargers and they will hand this one
up the middle and gain of about two that time.
It's like that's number three. That's a for arun Bird.
Actually they'll say maybe about one where they spot it.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Ja Kai Logan one of the gold shirts in there,
rob yea.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
He was the main man.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
So they go with two wet outs to the far side.
One of the near looks like that's Clark, the wide
receiver down here on the side back to pass his
number ten mol Er. He'll fire one down the field
and this is too far and out of bounds over
to the near side as he tried to hit Clark.
So it'll be third down for the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Fortunately for mcdebit, Clark had Austin mac beat by good
two steps. Ball was just overthrown.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
It's a third down clock stop. Seven oh two left
to play here in the first quarter, just getting started.
First possession of the game for the Chargers against mcdebitt.
Of course I should mention the turf field here at
smallest field, the big y in the middle of the field,
and you have your high in the end zone to
our left and Bearcats to our right. They bring a
man in motion. Now looks like we're going to have
(34:50):
a stoppage of play here.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
Looks like an equipment problem for one of the linemen.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
That's number fifty five. I think manchelinko for the each
Chargers and they'll have a substitution. I think that's trying
to take a look at a number fifty eight. I
think it's heally checking in three white outs to the
far side, one of the near for the Chargers back
to pass. His Mueller fires went over the middle and
(35:16):
it's intercepted by Bishop mcdebbitt off the hands of the
wide receiver bringing it down the sideline. That's Crumwell. I
believe he brings it back to the thirty nine yard line.
Penalty flags come flying in way down the field too.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
Great pressure by the defensive line Zach Brown, Chris Thompson
in there, causing that interception. Crumbell picked it up in
a nice return of about fifteen yards. We'll see what
the flag is.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
Yeah, ball was there, he didn't hold on to it,
crumbl alertly, it just came right down into his arm.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
So we get an unnecessary roughness call and Zach Brown
there on Bishop mcdebbitt. So that'll back it up a bit.
But the Crusaders will take over here though.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
Yeah, it was during the return. They're calling unnecessy very
roughness on Zach for blocking the quarterback, which I know
that they do that stuff in the NFL. I wasn't
sure that was something they'd call in high school. But
the quarterback was buried there.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Welcomes back to the forty five yard line of Bishop mcdebitt,
and that's where the Crusaders will take over here.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Mcdebbitt would have been a position here at the plus
side of the forty. But now they're back at the
their side of the fifty at the forty five yard line.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Wick and roof go out on the far side for mcdebit,
it's Holton Junior. On the near side. Crusaders have it.
Jack Dawson in there a little bit in the front
of quarterback Sebastian. He's back to pass. Here comes the pressure.
Sebastian's gonna run with it. He's got the fifty and
they bring him down from behind, but not until he
gets up to about the forty seven yard line of
Knights run there by Sebastian Williams.
Speaker 5 (36:49):
Guys, Yeah, and that's something that people that haven't seen
wanted to know who the new quarterback is. Everyone says,
if you've seen him play, Sebastian Williams is a heck
of an athlete. He's gonna be able to make plays
with his legs. He's going to be able to get
out of pressure. And there you see him get out
of some pressure, turn it up and get eight yards.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
And that was not anywhere near. Oh he left too soon, right,
he had to stay there. He had nothing. I mean,
the pocket had collapsed around him, and he saw the
opening took it.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
It's again Quicken roof to the fore side. Holton Junior
to the near side, went back in the backfield. This
Tom Dawson lines up over on the fore side and
here's a handoff to Swoop. Swoops tries the left side,
still fighting, he is a man, pushes a power forward
for a first down. I mean, that was a heck
of a run, guys.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
I don't even know how many people he ran through.
I mean he broke a couple tackles, and then there
were two or three other great Jerseys bringing him down.
And Swoops still leaning forward. I mean he's been.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
Almost every carry. Yeah, that he's gotten hit, stumbled, kept
his balance, doing a great job.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Shades of Andre Robinson on that run. Right there, Bishop mcdebitt,
ball's at the forty four yard line. Now Clerks and
North Mersaders go left the right from the press box
side of things. Here at Small's field. Crusaders bunch things
up a little bit. This time. They threatened the blitz
to the Chargers and here's a pitch to the outside
(38:12):
out here and over to the sideline come to Crusaders.
That is LaRue and not much there for him as
they actually might have. He might have lost the yard
on that one. Guys.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Yeah, they did a bunch, as you said, Art, and
it was a quick pitch to LaRue and just did
not did not, wasn't able to get to the corner.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
So be second and eleven for Bishop mcdebit. Their gold helmets,
gold jerseys and white pants here today taking on the
Chargers with their gray jerseys and kind of Ohio State
field only with black helmets. Sebastian shotgun formation went back
to his left back to pass fires one day outside
and this one is entered and the Chargers will take
(39:01):
over at the forty three yard line.
Speaker 5 (39:02):
Hit Is Palmer. I couldn't see if it hit hit
Ish his hands or went off his chest, bounced off
the number eight and right into the defensive back's hands.
So that's two series in a row. We saw issue
on that third down pass earlier failed to pull it
in and here Costly off his chest and turns into
an interception.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
It was really good timing when the d back on
that because he got Ish Palmer in the back, is
issh of the chest, and I think it was hard
for Is to just close his close his hands on it.
So great timing by the d back there and back
to back turnovers.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Chargers take over at the forty three yard line as
the wind continues to blow up here on the top
of the press box here at Smalls Field. Back to
pass his Mueller fires one down the field. He's got
his man and it's just a little over his fingertips.
Good coverage there by Crumwell again on that one, guys.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
Now, guys, you check the flags and Bowlers got the
wind to his back here and that's twice now where
he overshot the receiver. That one was about a half
step that he had on Crumble. I think it was
Crumble and yeah, he just he overshot it by about
a yard and a half for two.
Speaker 5 (40:10):
That's one of those that were that coverage by Jamis
and Crumbell. Forty nine out of fifty high school quarterbacks
probably aren't gonna complete that ball. So i'll, you know,
you'll take that coverage every time.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
Two what adds to the near side for the Chargers,
and this time their quarterback will keep it as he
takes it up to the forty four yard line. That's Muller.
I believe it picks up a couple, but they'll have
a third down and long situation.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Number thirty one. RJ. Duffy the senior middle linebacker and
Jakai Logan again in there to RJ. Duffy, by the way,
was the captain or he was not a captain any
but he was the crusader that had the honor of
bringing the cross out when the crusaders came out on
the field to enter. RJ brought that out.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
I called him the veteran, which might not have been
the veteran except for the untimely injury last year.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
Third and eight for the charge will bring a man
in motion from the far side to the near that
say hey, and back to passes Muller. Here comes a pressure.
He's going to run to the near side inside mcdebit territory,
all the way inside the forty five yard line, and
that'll be a first down where the chargers don't see
any laundry on the field. There. Chargers in hurry up
(41:20):
mode is a scurry back to the line. They have
two white outs to the near side, one to the
far and here's another hand off up the middle, this
time the farun bird and he takes it deep in
the mcdebit territory down to about the twenty eight yard
line or so. Another first day, and that hurry.
Speaker 4 (41:37):
Up definitely hurt mcdebbit there. Mcdebbitt was not ready at all.
They were still subbing. I think they got away with
twelve in the field.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Here's another handoff to the outside. The parun Bird tries
to get the corner, gets inside the twenty five down
to the twenty four, gain of five for the Chargers
as they continue to try and keep things moving here.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Killing Smith with the tackle knocked him out of bounds,
but not before he picked up five and they're just
inside the twenty five yard line.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Now mcdevid'll get a chance to reset things here a
little word. Almost down to three minutes left to play
here in the first quarter. No score in the game,
but the Chargers on the move going right to left
from the home side of things here at Small's field.
This time they'll run one up the middle, but taking
it outside is number thirty two. That's Martin Penley for
the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Martin Kenley there once again, he escapes the tackle and
killing Smith out on the edge, had to push him
out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
It's third and two for the Chargers at the mcdeva
twenty one yard line, fast moving first quarter here, two
fifty three left to play. They'll bring three wide receivers
to the near side this time and one to the
far one back in the backfield, and the quarterback will
keep it up the middle. That's Maler. Mahler's going to
take this one in for a touchdown and the Charge
(43:00):
go up six to nothing. A twenty one yard run.
Took it to the right side, guys, and with two
forty seven left to play in the first quarter, Chargers
go up six to nothing.
Speaker 4 (43:08):
And he just that was a quarterback reed, Yeah, put
the ball in the belly the running back. He read it,
He read it, He held it to the last minute,
pulled it back out and he walked in.
Speaker 5 (43:18):
Yeah, a really nice job there on the Red and
maul are really showing a lot of athleticism and six one,
two hundred and five pound quarterback. He's actually a junior
first year as a full time starter.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Jaheenan attempt the extra point and the kick is up
and it is good. So two forty seven left to
play here in the first quarter. Will take a break
with debit trailing Clerks and North seven Nothing. You're listening
to the Bish mcdebit football here in Fox Sports fourteen
sixty and iHeart Radio.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
The electricity on a football field. This is Bishop mcdebbit.
Speaker 1 (44:24):
Football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Jacob maler of a twenty one yard touchdown run has
put the Chargers of seven Nothing over Bishop mcdebbit here
with two forty seven left to play in the first quarter.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
Quick shout out here, Art kJ Cody, Little Americ, and
especially Macley. Macley, proud of you. First day of kindergarten ers.
They can't wait hear from you and see how you
liked it. But we're proud of you.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Mcley jaheen on to kick off here going right to left,
and this one again will sail out of the back
of the end zone five yards or so and Bishop
mcdebitt will accept the touchback and start over here with
their next drive.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
I don't think neither one of these kickers need any
help with the win, but to win is definitely in
that direction. In fact, in the pregame practice where they
always have the team huddle and Aiden Grella was doing
the extra point, he kicked it out of the stadium.
It's like thirty thirty five yards behind the back line
and he kicked it out all right.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Here come the Crusaders, now trailing for the first time
the day. Seven nothing, two forty seven left to play
here in the first quarter, Crusaders will come with two
white outs to the near side, one to the far
Sebastian back to pass. Sebastian will get rid of this
one up here at the fuller as he was about
ready to go down, brings it up to the forty
two yard line and a first down for Bishop mcdebit.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
Yeah, a nice job by Sebastian Williams. He was under
duress again, really getting pressured and just about as he
was getting hit and starting to come down, he got
rid of the ball out there on the far side.
Liam Fuller pulled it in on the run and was
able to pick up twenty yards.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
That looked like it was going nowhere, guys, and just
an athletic play there by Sebastian and Buller wide open there,
tight end getting open for him. Two white outs to
the near sides for mcdebitt, one to the far The
Crusaders will run this one, this time up the middle
to Swoops, and Swoops tries to spin his way, but
not much there. Gets up to the forty two gain
a two.
Speaker 5 (46:29):
And as we set off the top, as Marty highlighted,
you know, very physical, big and physical defense for Clarks
and North.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
Sebastian goes over to his huddle. Now as the Crusader's
facing a second down and eight from the forty two
yard line, minute forty four left to play here in
the opening quarter. Mcdebit down seven zip, two white outs
to the near side, one to the far. Let's quick
and roof out here in the near side. Sebastian back
to pass. Here comes a uh Are again gonna fire
(47:01):
one down the sideline, blatant pass interference and they do
finally call it, and he was ripping his jerseys on.
Speaker 5 (47:07):
Top of it.
Speaker 4 (47:08):
Yeah, but I can't believe that thirty three site. I
didn't have the number in front of me, but I
can't believe he did that, just taunted and he was
so blatantly holding on to him. He's the one who
looked terrible.
Speaker 5 (47:21):
He was holding on to Gage the whole way. So
that's going to be a thirty yard penalty.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
I mean, the flag should have been raining atteen.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
For interference and fifteen for the tawning. So that'll put
mcdebit at the Chargers thirty.
Speaker 3 (47:38):

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Now this is just me, guys, but he's coming out
of here for a player two.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (48:02):
If I'm the coach, I'm sorry, you just gotta do it.
Speaker 5 (48:05):
So real real quick. That defensive line for for Clarkson
go six two three ten six three two thirty six
three two twenty and the fourth guy I was trying
to see the fourth guy go six one two eighty five.
(48:27):
So I don't know what that average is, but three
ten two eighty five two thirty six three two thirty
and six two two twenty.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Wow, Marty, work on that average for US two.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
Sixty two and a half.
Speaker 5 (48:42):
But they're big. I mean, they look, they look, they
they look.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
The part well was it the twenty eight yard line?
Now is the Crusader's moving one twenty six left to play?
First quarter? Down seven nothing Here Crusaders line up four
wideouts on the near side, this time one to the
far Sebastian all alone in the backfield, ash back to
pass fires one of the outside. This one is completed
around the twenty and a nice spin move out there
(49:06):
for Bishop mcdebitt as. They will take this one down
to about the twenty two yard line and a flag
comes flying in real late.
Speaker 5 (49:12):
Yeah, I don't know that was right at the point
of the tackle. I don't know what that's gonna be there.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Looked like the official might have signaled this one's against
Clarkson North. But we'll see so. Ish Palmer the name
we're gonna hear a lot this year. Latening speed, unsportsmanlike
conduct on the chargers. That'll be fifteen more yards. Ish
(49:40):
Palmer really nice player for bish mcdebit last year. Could
not explain in the playoffs. But expect a lot of
great things from him this season.
Speaker 7 (49:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:49):
I mean he's such a weapon in the return game
and we're seeing him receiver. He had a tough start
today with those two earlier plays, including the one that
ended up getting picked off, but it was good to
see him make a play there. Turn it up field,
pick up about seven and now with a half the
distance on the personal fouther at.
Speaker 3 (50:06):
The eleven, two white outs to the near side. Fuller
lines up on the end. They fake the handoff. Here's
a pass over the middle and this one is knocked
down almost complete inside the five yard line. Looked like
a good defensive plate to knock it out of Holton's
or Holton Junior's hands there inside the five.
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Yeah, Howard Holton Junior just could not hold onto a
good play by the d back to get a hand
in there.
Speaker 5 (50:29):
It was number twenty one on the coverage Jurrell hey,
six eighty pounds. This team, really across the board has
exceptional size.
Speaker 3 (50:42):
And coach Wecktor stressed how well coached they are in
the pregame show.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
And their corners are tall too. You're not gonna throw
too many pointed and you're let your guys go up
for him.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Two white outs to the near side from debit. Sebastian
back to pass fires one and this one is complete
too quick at about the five yard line as John
t came down with that one for McDevitt.
Speaker 5 (51:07):
And Omeio Thomas again the six to two corner though
good completion by Sebastian, but really still good coverage. Yeah,
I mean he was right on him and hit him
as soon as he caught the ball, So holds him
to a six yard game right at the five yard
line here.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
So ball had to be thrown perfectly and it.
Speaker 5 (51:24):
Was exactly I mean, he had to put it right
on him.
Speaker 4 (51:26):
Ish Palmer back in.
Speaker 3 (51:29):
So mcdevith a third down here, they can pick up
the first down as the ball's on the five. They
needed to get it to the one.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
Interesting call here, guys, you know, they go wide like
they're gonna, you know, throw the ball, but are they
gonna give it to swoops? See if they can get up.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
Front se fashion back the pass fires went over the
middle and this one's cock for a Bishop mcdebit touchdown
to John Tate Quick in the back of the end
zone and the Crusaders are on the board. A troll
seven to six with four seconds left to play in
the first quarter.
Speaker 5 (51:58):
Just to strike bic Ashton Williams right on the money,
put it up a little bit higher, and Quick jumped
up in the air with that athleticism and pulled it
in just the perfect ball. Let us receiver make the play, Marty, Yeah, but.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
I knew you'd take a shot at me after I said,
it's gonna be hard for him to point that up there,
and he did, and Quick went way up and got it.
Speaker 3 (52:18):
Aiden grilla on no tempt the extra point for a
Bishop McDevitt Smith the holder for the Crusaders. Of course,
the wind a little bit of a factor here today
with these kickers with huge legs, and they'll stop play
here substitution.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
And I don't know if it's an equipment problem, but
their referees are sending to Ron Dennis off the field.
Zach Brown coming on the field.
Speaker 4 (52:48):
You know quick at only five to nine. Really got
up for that.
Speaker 5 (52:50):
He did, he really really did well. He he's a
great athlete. I mean seen him on the basketball court too.
Speaker 3 (52:58):
All right, we'll try this again, Smith the holder, Grella
the kicker, and the kick is up, plenty of leg
and it is good. So with four seconds left to
play in the first quarter of Bisha mcdebit's tie. This
game up at seven. Will take a break. You're listening
to Bisha mcdebit football here in Fox Sports fourteen sixteen. iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
This is Bishop mcdebit football on Fox Sports fourteen to sixty.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
So Bashan Williams with a five yard touchdown pass to
John Tate Quick has tied this game up at seven
with four seconds left to play in the first quarter.
In an impressive response there by Bishop mcdebit guys, after
they went behind seven to nothing. Brilla on the kickoff.
Here now for the Crusaders.
Speaker 4 (54:26):
Into this win. If he gets this one in the
end zone, that's a like.
Speaker 3 (54:29):
Two men back deep for the Chargers. And here's a
line drive kick. This will be caught at the four
for the Chargers. They bring it back to the ten
of the fifteen to the twenty and returned up to
about the twenty seven yard line, and that's how the
first quarter will end. I think that was a number
eight more kill for the Chargers. That's going to end
(54:51):
the first quarter. So we'll take a break. We'll switch
ends to the field here at Smalls Field. It's Bishop
mcdebit seven and Clarkson North seven. You're listening to Bish

Speaker 2 (56:05):
This is Bishop mcdebit football on Fox Sports fourteen to sixteen.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
And welcome back to Smalls Field here in New York
art heelby Marty Bowman and Rob mcglice Eli F. Wessler
back in the Fox Sports fourteen sixty studios. The Clarks
and North Chargers come out here and try a deep
ball on the far sideline and it's knocked down. A
terrific defensive play out there for Bishop mcdeviit, guys, I
could not see the numbers un climb.
Speaker 4 (56:33):
Yeah, it made a great place, was right with the
receiver step for.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Step, second down and ten and the quarterback will fake
the handoff, keep it himself, takes it up the phil
he's got a first down and more. He's up over
the fifty to the mcdevid forty thirty five, still going,
and he will be tackled down inside the mcdevid fifteen
yard line all the way down to the thirteen yard line.
I think Patrick right, I think was in there and
may it will backle and the.
Speaker 4 (56:57):
Quarterback reed mcdeviand is certainly having trouble with and he's
doing a great job with it.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
So a long run there by the Chargers eleven thirty
eight left to play, first half, seven to seven, and
they get a big play to answer the mcdebit touchdown.
Jacob Maller the quarterback. He's got one back in the backfield.
Two white outs to the far side, one of the
near and they will hand this one off up the
middle this time. To think that was that was number
(57:29):
three on that one. That's for ruined bird.
Speaker 4 (57:33):
Bird was a nice job. They're making an adjustment at
the line of scrimmage, not anything there, and he did
a sidestep able to make it a three yard game.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
They hurry up to the line, they give it to
him again and he will take this one up the
middle for a touchdown for the Chargers, and just like
that they answer the mcdebit touchdown, go up thirteen to
seven with eleven minutes left to play here in the
first half.
Speaker 5 (57:55):
Yeah, the hurry up offense has really been a key
for Clark's and mcdebbit is not adjusted to it.
Speaker 6 (58:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
Oh no, that was absolutely like nobody was ready there
at all. No, he just went up through. There was
one block there in the offensive line. He got congratulations
from his teammate. That was all he needed.
Speaker 3 (58:14):
Shaheena. No attempt the extra point again, wad the holder.
Here's the kick. It is up and it is good,
so take a break. Eleven minutes left to play first half.
The Chargers back on top of mcdebit fourteen to seven.

The Blue and Gold play right here on Fox Sports
fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
And welcome back to Smalls Field. Here in York, It's
the York Roose bowt kickoff classic. As Clerkson North back
ahead of Vision mcdebit fourteen to seven after Froun Bird's
ten yard touchdown run set up by the quarterback Jacob
Maler's long run deep into mcdebitt territory put them in
scoring positions. So Crusaders are going to have to just
(59:39):
here defensively and the offense will get the ball back
here now is Shaheen will kick off going left to right,
and this one is kicked deep and this one will
go into the end zone for the touchback. So the
Crusaders will take over going right to left. From the
press box side of things here at Small's Field.
Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
You could see the air go out of Isha Palmer
on that one, guys, when it was two yards deep
in the end zone. He wanted to come out of
there so bad Fisher.
Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Mcdebit football brought to you by Constellation Energy this year,
producing clean, reliable energy, empowering new opportunities for families and

Speaker 4 (01:00:19):
We'll do a quick shout not a shout out here,
a little info for you Philly fans out there. It
might not have caught it. They have released something on
Zach Wheeler and they're saying six to eight months and
so you know we're putting ready for the spring. But
of course that's a it's a dangerous situation.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
Here come the Crusaders, two white outs to the far side.
One of the near Sebastian surveys the defense, Sebastian back
to pass. Here comes a pressure and they get to
Sebastian back inside the ten yard line. That was number
eleven I think in there that's Felix Khalil.
Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
Felix six three two twenty and faster than lightning.
Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
Yep. I mean, should had no time Whatsoebrity even set
up to look downfield or anything.
Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
He wasn't alone. He had a lot of Hell, there
were like three or four chargers back there with their
hands up.
Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
Well, what I was going to say right when this
series started, now we highlighted that initial defensive line. But
now now they have some substitutes in, including number four
Graham Harbor and Weldon who's six two two forty. So
they're coming in waves.
Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
Devon on to the near side and swoops does a
nice job just to get up to the thirteen yard
line here. So mcdebit's gonna have a third down in
about seventeen here, Dreell in fourteen to seven. Here in
the second quarter, LaRue's gonna check in for Bishop mcdebit
as long, Ish Palmer as well. Jack Dawson will come
out as well, swoops and Sebastian has the play, takes
(01:01:48):
it back to the huddle.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
This Clark's in North team. They actually came down for
spring practices with Saint Francis Academy down in Maryland, who's
one of the top five or ten teams in the
United States, and they had a scrimmage with them last week,
So that's the kind of competition they're used to taking on.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Sebastian all learn in the backfield, has a little bit
of time, rolls to the right, looks downfield, fires one.
This one is complete up at the twenty six yard line.
I think that's still going to be short of the
first down. I think that was gauge on that one. Guys.
Speaker 5 (01:02:18):
Yeah, Gage Ruth nice crab.
Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
So nice nice roll out there by Sebastian, but the
crusader's just a little short. Brella will have to come
in and punt. Dangerous territory here for mcdev's. They really
brought some pressure on Briller earlier in the game on
a punt. One man back deep for the Chargers, standing
back at his thirty five yard line. Ten oh five
(01:02:47):
left to play first half. Mcdebit down fourteen to seven
here in the Rose Bowl Classic.
Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
I'm not sure why they're playing this loud music when
like people are getting ready to snap the ball. Now,
how we got a time out?
Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
So crusaders will take a time out here. We'll keep
things here on this one. Bisha mcdebit football brought to

Advisors dot com. Ungrella does get this one off, just barely.
It's a good line drive kick though, and it takes
a good role for Bishop mcdebit all the way down
on inside the thirty yard line and it'll roll out
of bounds there. Visit Green Spring Advisor's website at GreenSpring
(01:04:06):

with our longtime friend Tim Decker every Saturday morning at
ten on our sister station news radio WHP five to eighty.
Remember Green Spring Advisors. As if he only registered investment

Speaker 4 (01:04:20):
Who's the role. Mcdebitt ends up with a forty five
yard count there for gorilla.
Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
So Steve, if mcdebitt's defense can adjust a little bit
to this charger offensive attack here.
Speaker 4 (01:04:34):
Fortunately here that didn't get blocked because he did not
get it up high at all, but he got the role.
Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
So chargers bring two wide receivers to the near side,
one to the far and they will run this one
to the near side, and mcdebitt still running with the
ball out there is number three for ruin bird takes
it to the far side. He did not blow it down.
He gets up here to the fifty yard line and
a big run there for the Jersey.
Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
Through the jerseys there, but it looked like he was
almost on the ground. There were two or three gold jerseys.
I was trying to figure out who to credit the
tackle to, and all of a sudden he pops out.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
And ironic running tripped over his own man at to fifty.
He if he doesn't triple his own man, I'm not
sure if he's not still running.
Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
So first and ten for the Chargers right at midfield,
it's a high snap. They're gonna fire one over here
to the near sideline, and this one is caught down
here by number two Clark. Clark inside the twenty five
down to about the twenty at Bishop mcdebit a big
gain in the Chargers moving of ball year, and.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
That was pretty much a high point there is he yes,
it was. He's got the big height advantage. One crumble
and he went up and got it a great throw.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
First and ten Chargers had to mcdebit twenty yard line.
Two wide receivers to the first side, a high snap,
but they give this one up the middle to Penley,
and Penley gets down to the thirteen yard line. Game
of about seven for the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (01:06:03):
Both offenses. It's a game where there's a lot of
yardage after initial contact, yes, and Clark s Andre certainly
doing a great job with that. You know, we've seen
swoops on seven of his carries in the first quarter
not go.
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
Down second and three for the Chargers at the mcdebit
thirteen yard line going left or right from the home
side of things here at Smallesville and York. They faked
the hand off fire or pass over the middle. Looked
like Crumbell knocked it out. But they're gonna throw the flag.
Speaker 5 (01:06:32):
Yeah, they're gonna.
Speaker 4 (01:06:34):
Yeah, they're gonna call Interford on Crummel.
Speaker 5 (01:06:37):
Yeah, Crumble reached in there and not of that ball away,
but they uh, I guess they're gonna call him for
having a hand on the bats.
Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
Yeah, So that'll be a first down for the Chargers
with eight twenty eight left to play. First to have
mcdebit down fourteen to seven already, see where they spot
this thing at.
Speaker 5 (01:07:00):
It'll be half the distance, so probably about this between
the six and the seven. Yeah, right about the seven.
It looks like.
Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
I think Clarkson with a chance to whoop by two scores.
Here in the middle of the second quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Two white outs to the far side. One of the
near Smler lines up there quarterback and he will keep
it himself, takes it to the near side, gets inside
the five. But there's some laundry on the field over here,
and you would think that'd be a hole.
Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
It is going to be a hold. Nice job there
by the Crusaders stringing that ol Chris Thompson, Maurice Barnes,
Jamison Crumble Crumble hitting him for a three yard loss.
But let's wait for the penalty penalty call.
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
Here there is the hold against the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
Yeah, it'll take that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
And mcdevin needed to break there on defense and that'll
that will help a good bit here.
Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
Muller proven tough to get down.
Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
Definitely a big, physical, strong football team. And coach Wector
warned us in the pregame show this would be a ballgame,
and it certainly is. Chargers break cuddle here, two men
to the far side at white out. One of the
near one back in the backfield, that is Martin Penley.
Pawler looks over to his far sideline over there, hands
(01:08:21):
on his hips, lay down the.
Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
Road trying to bleed clock with eight minutes to.
Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
Go here in the second quarter, and they will take
a time out. Let's take one as well. Seven fifty
five to play. First half. Mcdebit down fourteen to seven.
You're listening to the Bisho mcdebit football here in Fox Sports
fourteen sixty and I a radio.
Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
Get him the zone.
Speaker 17 (01:08:42):
Brad's day is off to a slow start, so he
heads to AutoZone, where batteries are as low as eighty
nine ninety nine. Sammy, a local autozonner, tests his battery
for free. Looks like he just needs a charge, and
Sammy does that for free too, and no time at all.
Brad is back on the road, ready to finish the
day strong free battery testing and charging at every store,
(01:09:05):
No hassles, just help get the zone. Restrictions apply.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Thanks for listening to Bishop mcdebit football.
Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
Now back to the field, all.
Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
Right, Welcome back to Smalls Field here in York. It's
the York Kickoff roose Fult Classic and Crusaders who won
their game here last year, trailing fourteen to seven. Here,
seven to fifty five left to play, first half. And
now the Chargers with the ball, Deevin mcdebit territory say
first down and goal from the seventeen. And here comes
the pressure for mcdebit in this time they get to
(01:09:40):
them back at the twenty two yard line. Is that
the quarterback Maler goes down for a big loss?
Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Big Chris Thompson two hundred and fifty pounds. Seen your
defensive tackle was the first man there. See Jack Dawson
in there on that nice nice blitz that time with
Barnes coming through the eight gap and Chris Thompson totally
collapsed the pocket. And that's the mcdebit defense. I was
expecting to see.
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
All their shock information. Three wet outs to the far side,
one of the near they'll bring a man in motion.
Now he goes back and lines up on the far side.
Here comes a pressure again by McDevitt. Is gonna be
sacked again? Actually the balls up and I believe came
down with it.
Speaker 5 (01:10:28):
Of course they're blowing this one, Dad. You can't even
make it up. You can't even make it up.
Speaker 3 (01:10:34):
Oh, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:10:35):
It is ironic of everything that they has allowed. Right,
that was not typical of what we've seen. I'm not
but the entire first half they've allowed guys to run,
They've allowed guys to break tackles and continue to play.
Speaker 5 (01:10:50):
Jakai Logan there number seventy three, broke, busted through, broke
down the pocket and it just hordes of Gold Jerseys
there to on Dennis Jack Dawson and third and goal
from the thirty one.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Three wide outs to the far side. Here comes the
pressure again. Maul Are running for his life and he'll
fire one back up the middle to the twenty one
and down to the fifteen yard line for Clarkson. So
they do get back in the field goal range. But
mc debit's defense strengthens air and it's just unfortunately that's
definitely should have been a turnover for Vision. Mcdebit. I think,
(01:11:26):
come on, Pauler.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Does a good job of getting out there and making
that play happen. He extended it and gets some of
his art, as you said, into field goal range which
they were not in it. I don't think with this.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
Win, no, they are now and RJ Duffy there was
the initial man against Smith and a Keelan Smith with
his third tackle Jaheena half cleaned it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
Up Jaheen for a thirty two yarder. Here looks like
and the kick is up and it is no good,
no good this time. It's a little justice there on
that one. I would say, guys, wide left lyde left.
Score remains Bisiha mcdebit trailing here fourteen to seven to
Clarkson North and the Crusaders will take over with a
(01:12:09):
big defensive stand there exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:12:11):
It was just out took the words, let's talk about
a big defensive stand there by Busha mcdebit, because after
the Fants interference, they were set up at seven a
right that we talked about and ended up back at
their own thirty something or not their own, but back
to mcdebit thirty some and then had the chance.
Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
So well, what you saw there the defensive staff for
mcdebit switched things up and started bringing some blitzes right there. Yeah,
so we saw them bringing barnes, you know, we saw
them bringing different kind of stunts, and that allowed Chris
Thompson and Jakai Logan to get loose in the middle
and just break everything down. And that's what we were
expecting to see.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
One white out to each side of the field. For
Bisha mcdebit, Zac Brown goes in motion. Ohannes went up
to swoop, swoops cuts outside. He's got the thirty swoops,
has got the thirty five knocked out of bounds at
around the forty yard line, first down and ten Bishop
mcdebit so Jonas Davis, guys, I mean that's just a
nice run up there, and that the line opened up
(01:13:11):
a nice hole for him on the near side.
Speaker 5 (01:13:13):
Yeah, right now in the personnel they have they have
Liam Fuller of course in there and Zach Brown together,
so that's great size Liam six six two thirty forty
and Zach Brown of course, the senior who transferred in six,
both of them in there now a tight end.
Speaker 3 (01:13:35):
And one white out to each side of the field
for vision. Mcdebit. Brown goes in motion now and they
will hand this one off again up the middle of
the swoops and swoops just knocking guys down, gets up
to the forty seven yard line. Look like a flag
camp line in there though.
Speaker 5 (01:13:49):
A hold. He just absolutely ran over someone right there.
Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
They're gonna get a hold of everythink on Zach browning,
I think as through the flag yeap.
Speaker 3 (01:14:01):
Yes, holding Bishon mcdebit, which is unfortunate because I mean
I was just swoops knocking guys down there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
Whoops, was just not going down today. Zach was actually
on the ground when he when he committed to hold.
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Well comes back to the thirty six yard line of
Bishop mcdebbit, and it'll be bad first down in fourteen
for the Crusaders. I kind of feel like we're out
on the on the beach when that hurricane came through
the Siti side.
Speaker 5 (01:14:35):
I would have never expected this. This is insane.
Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
So John Tate will go out in the forest side
out there, and Gage is down here in the near side.
Is the official trying to sort things out here. Now,
now they're going to spot it back at the mcdebit
thirty four yard line, so they move it back two
more yards and now they'll start playing again here five
(01:15:04):
point thirty eight left to play. First half, mcdebit down
fourteen to seven, went white out to each side of
the field. Sebastian back to pass. As time comes to
the near side, he looks down the field and it's complete.
I believe down the field, we'll see if they give
him the catch. Oh yeah, Brown, he was in and
he's got it for a first down vision mcdebonden signed
(01:15:24):
the thirty five yard line.
Speaker 5 (01:15:26):
What a play by Sebastian Williams. You know, a lot
of time, but nobody opened, rolling, keeping his feet moving,
rolling and throwing the ball on the run to the left.
Zach Brown tiptoeing on the sideline and pulling that in
thirty three yard completion.
Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
I think we can put out that he's got a gun,
he's got an arm, yes, I mean, and he's throwing
on the run to his left. I mean. And that's
not one of those where he threw across the middle though,
so it's not gonna get picked right. He threw it
down the sideline.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Ish Palmer comes into the game for mcdevid as they'll
go with three white outs to the fire side and
one to the near. Barnes is in there as well
for mcdeviit at running backs and bashing fires went over
the middle and this one is incomplete. Looking for Holton
Junior and I think that was a little bit behind him,
a lot him a lot.
Speaker 5 (01:16:19):
Nice job though, despite the incoplation by Maurice Barnes on
the Blitz pick up. That's one thing with you know,
we talked about off the top two two new offensive tackles,
and not just two new offensive tackles, but neither one
has started a varsity game. In fact, neither one has
really played a meaningful varsity snap. And you're gonna rely
on other guys like your backs to pick up Blitz
(01:16:40):
is there, and a great job by Barnes.
Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Second and ten for mcdevid. Maurice still in the game,
back there to the left. They'll hand it to him
this time and he tries to power his way up
the middle. It's about three and mcdebitd will have a
third down.
Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
Graham Hayburn Weldon six two forty crashing arms around Maurice
barns his waist.
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
So third and seven for mcdebit from the thirty one
yard line clock hunder five minutes left to play. First half,
Crusaders down fourteen to seven.
Speaker 14 (01:17:14):
Ish.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Palmer will check out for the Crusaders. There looks like
cage roof John tay Quick go out on the far side,
Holton Junior on the near side, Liam Fuller also out
on the far side. Swoops is in there now to
the right of Sebastian. On this third down and eight
will go with what the scoreboard says. Here, Sebastian back
(01:17:35):
to pass, fires went over the middle. He's got his
tight end inside the twenty five down to the twenty four.
That's fuller, and that's real close to a first down,
might be short by a yard.
Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
I think it's going to be a fourth and one here,
our first fourth and one of the season.
Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Oliver, you gotta think this is swoops their takes.
Speaker 5 (01:17:55):
Send Jack Dawson in the senior fullback for mcdebbit twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
You know, before this last play here, I was gonna
say something we wouldn't have said two or three years
ago as a Crusaders were already in field goal right now.
Oh yeah, but yeah no, you definitely want to go
for it here.
Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
And they send Campbell Milch into the game here late late,
coming on as a second tight end, blocking tight end
with Jack Dawson in an I formation.
Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
Sebastian under center, trying to get him the jump. And
now mcdebit will take a time out with three point
thirty nine left to play here in the first half.

Speaker 4 (01:19:09):
Well, here's where you really want to reward your defense
for the stop that they did, the great stand that
they had. Like debit drives it down field fourth and one.
You know you want to keep this drive going and uh,
you know, get it into the end zone and reward
your defense.
Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
So they call Tom out. They come out with some
different personnel now Zach Brown in as a second sight
end still with Jack Dawson.
Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
Sebastian under center. They give this when the swoops and
I think you got enough.
Speaker 5 (01:19:35):
Push forward fairly enough, but just enough.
Speaker 3 (01:19:38):
Got to about the twenty three and that should be
a first down vision. Mcdebitt, here's the signal, and they
do they do give it to them.
Speaker 5 (01:19:46):
So I'll tell you what, this Clark's in front is
no joke. They are nasty and honestly, I mean it's
it's it's a great thing when you have senior offensive
tackles and you're trying to break down. I mean, like
this is what they need, you know, a baptism by fire.
You just hope you can get through it today, right,
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
And and this would be an entirely different situation here, swoops,
wasn't breaking tackles all right?
Speaker 5 (01:20:12):
First hand, quick chance Holmes in the game, guys for
the first time.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
At receiver and quick and roof go out on the
far side, Holmes on the near side down here with Fulton, junior.
Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
Holmes with a big heighted vantage out here.
Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
Sebastian with heavy pressure just fires that one into the
back of the end zone as he takes a shot
and in the area of John Tate. Quick but not
much of a shot there is as he just got
rid of that thing.
Speaker 5 (01:20:39):
Yeah, a nice decision by Sebastian. They're just immediate pressure
and he just he just threw the ball out of
the back of the end zone and don't save the.
Speaker 4 (01:20:49):
Artists exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:20:51):
So second and ten for Bishop McDevitt. Chance Holmes will
now check out for the Crusaders.
Speaker 4 (01:20:56):
Let's look for the Crusaders to leak Liam Fuller out here.
Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
I'm with you morning, either that or another screen pass
maybe to the swoops second and ten from the twenty three.
Two white outs to the far side, one to the
near and a quick pass to the outside. The quick
and they have it played well and tackle them down
in the backfield. As that's a number twenty eight O'Hara
in there on the tackle for the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:21:22):
Yeah, it's almost like they knew that play was coming.
Speaker 4 (01:21:25):
Yeah, absolutely, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
Two and a half minutes left to play. First half,
McDevitt down fourteen to seven. They have a third and
eleven at the twenty five yard line. Crusaders break huddle,
three white outs to the far side. Sulton Junior goes
out there and joins quick and roof and it's Ish
Palmer all alone on the near side down here, swoops
(01:21:49):
to the right, sebashing back to pass fires one. He's
got his man out on the far sideline out there.
Now that's whole Junior tries to put a couple of
spin moves on the defender and throw them some foot
work there, so picks up someone'll be fourth down in
about six for mission mcdebon.
Speaker 4 (01:22:05):
He picked up seven on the completion.
Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
I think you saw the moves of Howard Holten Junior there.
Quick feet needed eleven. They only got seven, but a
great job by by Howard there and mcdebitt. Not gonna
worry about the field goal here. They're gonna go for
it on fourth.
Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
And four, fourth and fourteen nine eighteen yard line. Need
to get to about the thirteen.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Maybe you try to draw them off again, Guys, what
do you think?
Speaker 5 (01:22:32):
Sure they will? I mean usually that works. Although this
team is not going for it. They are very disciplined.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
Two white outs to the far side, two to the
near that's quick and Ruth Sebastian back to pass Buyer's
one of the outside and tried to hit Swoops. And
this is just too high and incomplete.
Speaker 5 (01:22:53):
And that's unfortunate because Swoops was open out there in
the flat and had plenty of room to get the
first down.
Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
He had one guy to beat. He would have done
that handily. Yet, Oh he would have gotten the first
down for Suretunate.
Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
So minute ten left to play, first half, mcdebitt still
down here fourteen to seven is the Clerks and North
Chargers from Mississauga, Ontario come back onto the field here
and there are grey jerseys, red numbers and black helmets
going left to right.
Speaker 4 (01:23:25):
I look for them to put it up, look to
put it up deep early here.
Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
Two white outs to the near side, and they will
run this thing up the middle, and mcdebitt defends it
pretty well as they pick up about three. See if
both teams are just satisfied to go into the locker
room here if you score fourteen to seven, well they
come back here now if they second down and six,
(01:23:52):
two white outs to the near side, one to the
far and the quarterback will keep it himself this time
that's smaller and he will be taken down not much there.
Clock continues to run as Runder forty seconds left to
play first half, web it third down in six.
Speaker 10 (01:24:08):
R J.
Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
Duffy with the tackle for loss. There.
Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
Surprise mcdebit not taking the time out here, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:24:16):
I think coach Wick's happy to to not give them
an extra down.
Speaker 5 (01:24:21):
Maybe somebody down on the field for me, ye have it,
have it. Let's see who that is.
Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Could tackle her? By Duffy.
Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
By Duffy clock stops of eighteen point four seconds left
to play in the first half. Mcdebit down fourteen to seven.
Speaker 5 (01:24:42):
Zach Brown's the man down on the ground.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):

Its third down in about seven for the Chargers, and
(01:25:33):
now they start the clock. We'll see if they even
run another play here. They have three wide outs to
the near side, one of the far and we're down
to four seconds.
Speaker 5 (01:25:48):
I think they're gonna let it run out and.
Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
They will indeed. So that's how the first half will

And welcome back to Smalls Field here in York. It's
the York Rose Bowl kickoff. Classic art selby, Marty Bowman
and Rob mcglice out here doing the game for you
this afternoon. Eli Wessler producing back in the Fox Sports
fourteen sixty studios Merusaders trailing here fourteen to seven and
a half. It's very windy afternoon here at Smallsfield, especially
(01:29:48):
up here on the press box roof where we're working
for you here today, and just looking at that first
half quarterback Jacob Maler with early on with a twenty
one yard touchdown run with the Chargers up seven to
nothing in this game. Bisha mcdebitt would answer and score
were four seconds left to play in the first quarter
on a strike from Sebastian Williams to John take Quick
(01:30:11):
to tie the game. But that quarterback Mauler came back
again with a long run and put the Chargers in
the scoring position where Frod Bird would score from about
ten yards out for Ruin Bird, and that put the
Chargers up fourteen to seven. Bishop mcdebitt would put a
good drive together, but it would just stall as a
(01:30:32):
pass for swoops. They needed five to passages a little
bit too high and incomplete, and Crusaders could not convert
and go in and tie this thing up here at halftime.
But just trailing fourteen to seven, defense got a big
stop in this game for mcdebit. Two Crusaders were down
there fourteen to seven in the second quarter, and actually
the Chargers had the ball inside the mcdebit ten yard line.
(01:30:53):
But the defense really turned things around at that point
with some aggressive play and got the ball back for
Bisha mcdebitt. They were just not able to tie the
thing up. So we will take another break here, take
a look at today's weather forecast, and then when we
return our man Eli Wessler, we'll have some scores for
us back into Fox Sports fourteen sixties studios, and then
(01:31:15):

All right, welcome back to smalls Field here in York,
Bisho mcdebit trailing and the York Roosebolt kickoff Classic fourteen
to seven to Clarkson North Arts. He'll be here with
Marty Bowman and Rob mglice. Want to thank Eli Fessler
for that scoreboard update there at the half and guys,
just some thoughts on the on the first half of
what you saw. Well, I think Fish and mcdebit in
(01:39:53):
that first half, guys, I mean they really had some
issues adjusting to the run and the quarterback for Clarkson
North there Jacob Maller with a couple of big runs.
Of course, the twenty one yarder put them on the
board to go up seven to nothing at that point,
(01:40:14):
and then the Crusaders were able to tie the thing
up but then Waller with another long run that time
for the Chargers, could set up the ten yard touchdown
run that time by for Ruin Bird. They may it
fourteen seven, and then as we mentioned, it looked like
the Chargers were going to go up by two scorers,
but the mcdevit defense would stop the Chargers as they
(01:40:36):
had the ball inside the ten yard line with a
first down and goal, and it looked like mcdebitt actually
created a turnover there, but they had to dodge a
missed field goal to keep the ball. There's to score
fourteen seven, and then the Crusaders were able to drive
down the field, but just unfortunately, we're not able to
tie this game up, and now they trail fourteen to
(01:40:58):
seven at the half. Both teams on the field and
a warm up drills here for the second half. So
we'll take our final break of tonight's or this afternoon's
halftime show when we return with a third quarter action.

This is Bishop mcdebit football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty
and I Heeartradio.
Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
All Right, Welcome back to Small Spill. Here in York
is the York Rose Bowl Kickoff Classic Bishoon mcdebitt taking
on Clerkson North, the team out of Canada and very tough,
physical first half Crusaders down fourteen seven. As we always
mentioned that a first possession of the third quarter so important,
(01:42:53):
So Mishion mcdebit, we'll have to kick things off here
and very important to get the ball back and try
and to go and tie this thing up here is
you don't want to fall down by two scores. Certainly,
we'll see what adjustments were made here to have guys.
Speaker 4 (01:43:10):
I think the emphasis is on defense. They gotta watch
that quarterback read and he does a good job with it.
And it's been a game of where there's been a
zillion broken tackles, and the defense for mcdebit's gotta make
sure that they put an end to that of the
breaking tackles by Clarkson North, especially that quarterback. When they
(01:43:32):
get him, they gotta get him down.
Speaker 3 (01:43:34):
Yeah, he's really been effective. I mean that twenty one
yard run and then as you mentioned, after mcdebit tied
the game up, his run really changed momentum, so he
took it deep into mcdebit's territory and then scored to
go up. But I think really in mcdebitt's defense, even
though they didn't tie the game up, keeping them out
of the end zone from going down to twenty one
to seven did look like a sure thing. They were
(01:43:56):
going to score, and mcdebitt knocked him back on several plays.
They did get penalty or two in there, but the
defense really stiffened up and kept it a one score game.
So even though mcdebitt did not tie this thing up,
they were able to stay within one score.
Speaker 5 (01:44:10):
Well, the thing is, you're just only going to get
so many possessions against this team and you cannot afford
another empty trip like that. If you get inside the thirty,
you gotta put points up right now. Like Marty said,
this is such a key series. You're looking at Aiden
grell here, an All State caliber kicker. He's got to
put this in nenanza for a touchback, and you gotta
(01:44:30):
come out and get a three and out or at
least get the ball back quick.
Speaker 3 (01:44:35):
Two men back deep this time for the Chargers standing
at about their five. You mentioned mcdebitt with the gold helmets,
gold jerseys with the dark numbers, white pants and the
blue and gold trim, and for the Chargers of Clarkson
North black helmets and the gray jerseys with the red numbers,
gray pants with the red trim down the side kind
(01:44:56):
of look a little bit like Ohio State. Red might
be off a little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:45:00):
They do look like a high state.
Speaker 3 (01:45:01):
And they do have that feeling to him. Man. Just
the helmets are a little darker than what you would
get from the Buckeyes.
Speaker 5 (01:45:07):
For the listeners, I'm proud to report to you that
our and Marty and myself all still do have a
little bit of our hearing left in this you know,
terrorism type music that they're playing up here at unbelievable decibels.
Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
All right, here's the kickoff from Grella drills this one
deep and this one we'll go back into the back
of the end zone for a touchback. So just what
we expect that he would do there, and he took
care of business. Now we'll see what this mcdevin defense
can do here against this charge of offense to start
a third quarter.
Speaker 4 (01:45:39):
Guys, I'm not gonna take that for granted. He needed
to not have any kind of runback on that, and
we know that he's gonna be able to do that consistently.
Speaker 5 (01:45:47):
Yeah, But.
Speaker 4 (01:45:50):
It's really this is the most important kick, caff You
gotta make sure there's no return.
Speaker 5 (01:45:54):
He had thirty one touchbacks last year in thirteen games
that he kicked. And that's you know, that's really we're
not used to see that from mcdevit kicker.
Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
Now, see if the Crusaders defense can force a turnover here,
maybe early on here in the third quarter, quarterback Jacin
mallerstanding back, their hands on hips, two white outs to
the far side, one of the near and he will
hand this one off up the middle on mcdebit's defense
gets in there and shuts that thing down quickly. No game.
Speaker 5 (01:46:24):
About four gold jerseys in there. I don't even know
who to credit that too. Jakai Logan at the point
of attack, A Kiel and Smith in there, Jack Dawson, R. J. Duffy,
all getting a piece of the ball carrier.
Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
No gee, that was farun Bird who had a big
first half here against mcdebit. They shut him down that time.
Two whiteouts to the far side and here's the pass
to the outside and this one is incomplete. Good coverage
out there for Bishop McDevitt. Is Crumbell was out there
at that time.
Speaker 4 (01:46:50):
Guys Crumble timed that very very well. And even if
would have been a reception, who's gonna go down immediately?
Crumbell had that time really well.
Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
Had visions of a pick six there in my head
for just a second.
Speaker 5 (01:47:04):
Number thirty two Creighton Milchin here and a passing down
the sophomore defensive end wearing number thirty two this year.
Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Three wide outs all bunched up in the near side.
Here's a pass to the far side. It's incomplete. Watch
is complete, knocked out of bounds penalty flegs complying in.
Speaker 5 (01:47:20):
Yeah, it's coming from the secondary. But I think it's
got to be an offensive penalty because there was no
uh no receivers were even downfield being covered as the
house to say at Marty on this side of the.
Speaker 4 (01:47:30):
Yeah, no, there's there was nobody. There was four gold jeers.
Speaker 5 (01:47:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
Oh, the legal substitution against mcdevid.
Speaker 5 (01:47:37):
That's a killer. You would have been off the field.
And now it's a five yard penalty for too many
men on the field.
Speaker 3 (01:47:45):
Still third down though, it'll be third down and five.
Speaker 5 (01:47:51):
Well it would have. It would have been fourth down,
but yeah, now it's now it's gonna be just a
third five.
Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
It's third and five, they bring two white outs to
the near side the Chargers and two to the far.
Speaker 4 (01:48:02):
I want to give you guys a little bit more
bad news. It's only a third and four.
Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
Maler will hin. Mauler will keep it himself and he'll
run for the first down and more.
Speaker 5 (01:48:11):
That's where that penalty is a killer, because mcdebit would
be getting the ball back right now.
Speaker 3 (01:48:16):
Larnes pushes him out of bounds over there in the
farest sideline. But it's enough for a first down for
the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (01:48:21):
Yeah, and we won't know obviously until next week. But
you know, is that on the coaching staff? Is that
on a player?
Speaker 5 (01:48:29):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
You know?
Speaker 4 (01:48:29):
That illegal substitution?
Speaker 5 (01:48:31):
And now they're going tempo gives them a chance to
get into this rhythm.
Speaker 3 (01:48:34):
First and ten at the forty they go left right
from the press back side of things here at Smalls Field,
and here's the pitch. It's a double reverse, but mcdebit
defends it well this time, and going down in the
backfield is arun Bird for a big loss.
Speaker 5 (01:48:48):
RJ. Touffy, he read it all the way and just
was not gonna let farun Bird get away. Big big
play by RJ.
Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
There, So that makes it second down at about twenty seven.
Speaker 5 (01:49:01):
Yard, yeah, almost seven or eight yards.
Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
They'll come with three white outs to the near side
and one to the far so they bunch up the
white outs again here on second down and eighteen, they'll
call it back to thirty one. Maller back to pass.
Here comes the pressure again, Elludes. It comes to the
near side, pump fakes, fires won out of bounds over here,
and it's incomplete. So it'll be third down in eighteen.
Mcdebit with great pressure that time, guys, great.
Speaker 5 (01:49:26):
Pressure by Maurice Barrens on the hurry to run Dennison
there about the.
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
First down too. If Muller got just a minute ago,
that was the first opportunity to get him here in
the second half, and he eludes the first tackle that
they've got to get him down.
Speaker 5 (01:49:41):
Get iron, Dennis's Art said, flushed him and then Barnes
came in and just forced him to throw it out
of bounds. The closest player to that football was Tyler Reinhart. Mcdebit.
Speaker 3 (01:49:52):
Two whiteouts to each side of the field. Now for
the Chargers, Muller back to pass, fires went over the middle,
So this one is complete up to the forty two
yard line. But well, sure to the first down and
I think mcdevin's defense has done the job here. They
should get the ball back.
Speaker 4 (01:50:08):
Here Austin Mack with good coverage on that was right
there when the receiver got the ball on, Austin Mack
put him down. So fourth down and.
Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
Eight, Well, see if aish Palmer gets a chance to
return one here.
Speaker 5 (01:50:20):
Now, hopefully it gets a chance. But you guys, we're
going to stay at the obvious here. The most important
thing is to secure this ball. Just make sure you
keep possession of it here.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
Just got a signal from the sideline here waving fair catch.
Speaker 5 (01:50:35):
Yeah, this is it's his first season doing the punt returning.
He did the kickoff returning last year.
Speaker 3 (01:50:40):
Low snap and not a great punt. This will die
at the thirty seven yard line. Takes a bit of
a role for the Chargers and goes down to the
thirty two. But I think, oh, in all, you couldn't
ask for better situation there for mcdeviit they get the
ball back and decent field position now to try and
tie this thing up.
Speaker 5 (01:50:57):
Yeah, only a twenty six yard punt there for the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (01:51:02):

here come the Crusaders back onto the field. Two white
outs to the far side, one to the near. Jones
(01:51:25):
Davis in the backfield and they give it to him.
Cuts outside up over the thirty and he's pushing guys
out of the way. Never does go down, but does
go out of bounds. Is they knock a He knocks
Xavier Smith out of bounds up here. After he picks
up a couple and.
Speaker 5 (01:51:40):
Again is hard and as aggressively is the linebackers are
coming downhill for Clarks And again I wonder at some point,
well we see play action here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
Second down and eight falls at the thirty four yard line.
It'll be Ruth and quick out on the far side.
Puller lines up as a tight end on the near side.
Here Holden Junior down here. It's a bashing back to
pass and he's gotta try and run and then he
gets rid of it. Luckily he didn't get knocked out
(01:52:14):
of his hands and he just throws it for an incompletion.
Speaker 5 (01:52:18):
Yeah, that was an odd looking play. As Art said,
it was almost like he was going to start to
take off and run and then he changed his mind
right before he got to the line of scrimmage and
just tried to unleash one.
Speaker 4 (01:52:33):
And I know the preference is not for him to
take off and run, right. That was one of those
where when he put his arm up and it got caught,
that was the only thing that would have gott and tackled.
He had a lot right of grass. But I understand
the philosophy, you know, he want to play to develop.
He wanted to make its way out.
Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
They're nate for mcdeviit's a bashing back to pass and
tries to dump oneto the outside out there to LaRue Junior.
I'm not sure if that was tip or not. It
was yes U LaRue didn't catch it, but after he did,
really not much there for him to do anything with
so and.
Speaker 5 (01:53:07):
It's unfortunate it was tipped because there was a lot
of space for Jeroblarooe Jr.
Speaker 3 (01:53:11):
There.
Speaker 5 (01:53:12):
He easily would have had the first down and.
Speaker 3 (01:53:14):
Then some so Grella will have to come hunt again
for Bishop mcdebbit standing back at about his twenty yard
line as the winds really continued to blow here at
small fields. Brella is standing on his twenty one yard line.
Here I'll return man back in said the twenty five
(01:53:36):
balls on the ground and Grella's tackled down back at
the seventeen yard line. And that obviously not a great
situation after Bishop mcdebbit and a huge play here in
the third quarter, And there was.
Speaker 5 (01:53:50):
Nothing wrong with that snap there. It looked like Karrella
just wasn't just didn't catch the ball. Yeah, I mean
correctly if I'm wrong, it wasn't a bad snap at all.
He was right in saying that he went to pick
it up and he couldn't get it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:04):
So the Chargers will take over at the mcdebit twenty
yard line, and the defense really needs to dow things
up here on these next couple of plays.
Speaker 5 (01:54:12):
And after last year, we got so accustomed to great
special teams play for this team, and something we thought
we'd see. I know, I thought we'd see a lot
of big plays on special teams, positive plays this year,
but that that was disastrous.
Speaker 3 (01:54:26):
Well are well ahead. This one actually keeps it himself,
and this time vision mcdebit is ready for it, and
they take him down for about a yard loss.
Speaker 5 (01:54:34):
Again, Duffy and Dawson.
Speaker 3 (01:54:39):
That's exactly what says doctor ordered done. First down for mcdebit.
Makes it second down and long for the chargers at
the mcdebit twenty one seven fifty three left to play
in the third mcdebit down fourteen to seven. Chargers will
come here, Clark the white out on the near side,
(01:55:02):
two white outs over in the far side. Now they
look over on the far side is ruined. Bird is
in the backfield back there with Muller lauler back to pass.
He's gonna run it now he's got the twenty and
he'll be knocked out of bounds by Maurice Barnes over
there in the far sideline about the eighteen. So just
(01:55:23):
a short gain and a third down and long now
for the chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:55:28):
Yeah, a nice job there by the mcdebit linebackers. As
Mueller tried to get all get outside. R. J. Duffy
was there waiting, and Maurice Barnes in pursuit shoved him out.
Speaker 3 (01:55:38):
Two white outs to each side of the field. Mcdebit's
reddings the blitz and now.
Speaker 4 (01:55:46):
Yeah, I think third and eight's gonna become third and three,
I believe.
Speaker 5 (01:55:49):
And this is just like the illegal substitution penalty, killer
killer penalties, just game changing penalties.
Speaker 4 (01:55:59):
And one thing we need to point out mcdevid is
losing precious time with the wind at their back.
Speaker 5 (01:56:04):
Here exactly, you know, great point Marty with.
Speaker 4 (01:56:07):
That fumble and having to you know, give the ball
up right away.
Speaker 3 (01:56:11):
Three white outs to the near side on third down
and three to one to the fore side. Morler will
keep it himself and he's spun down at the thirteen
yard line. Didn't kick anything up.
Speaker 10 (01:56:22):
R J.
Speaker 4 (01:56:23):
Duffy. Duffy's just you know, been uh.
Speaker 5 (01:56:27):
Strong early on here in this thirty he's been a
tackling machine. And again on that zone read he's staying
home playing assignment football and making making another great open
field tackle.
Speaker 3 (01:56:39):
They're gonna send in shaheen. It looks like to try
the field goal, which will be about thirty yards.
Speaker 5 (01:56:48):
Oh, why can't jump? You cannot jump? Zach Brown almost
is going across the line there.
Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
Hean's kick is up. Tom It's no good again. Devid
dodge is another major bullet. After the mishap there on
special teams and the Crusaders still trail here fourteen seven
was six h four left to play in the third quarter.
Let's take take a break. Guys. You're listening to Vision
mcdebit football here in Fox Sports fourteen sixteen IO radio.

Speaker 1 (01:57:49):
The twenty twenty four five Day State Champs play right
here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:57:57):
All right, welcome back to Smallsfield here in York The
York Off roose Bolt, classic Crusader's dodge another bullet after
another misfield goal, Sebastian back to pass fires one down
the field looking for his man and look like Quick
was tripped up around midfield. Wow, oh oh, that's just ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (01:58:13):
How can you not call that.
Speaker 5 (01:58:15):
He reached out and tripped him the whole mcdevin's sideline.
Speaker 3 (01:58:19):
Cannot believe it clear contact to trip him. I mean,
I don't know what how much clay it could be.
Speaker 5 (01:58:28):
Yeah, not much to say on that. That's not even
an opjenity. There's no there's no wiggle room there. He
just totally tripped the receiver and knocked him down.
Speaker 4 (01:58:36):
Yeah. The only thing to say is it's a touchdown. Yeah,
you know, because he's pretty much was a perfectly thrown ball.
Speaker 5 (01:58:42):
It's pretty much like the defensive player made a decision. Yeah, like,
I'll take the fifteen yard penalty.
Speaker 4 (01:58:48):
Which was a smart move if he did it that
way intentional, it was a great move, you know, cause
he got away with it.
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
And mcdevid will run the ball. This time it swoops
up the middle if a powerful run gets about eight
and we'll have a third down and two. I don't
know how every guy in the field and that nobody
could see that, I know. I mean, that's just terrible.
Speaker 4 (01:59:08):
Well, it only needed to be the one guy who
was ten yards away from it. He was right there
as the back judge, and he had it right in
front of him.
Speaker 3 (01:59:18):
You can't even like argue incidental comman. That was a
clear trip on a breakaway deep ball. So third and
two for mcdebitt. Ruth out on the far side, quick
on the near side here now for vision mcdebit, two
tight ends. They line up in the end there. Sebastian
waits for the snap and he'll hand this one off
(01:59:40):
to Swoop. Swoops to the outside. Swoop, still fighting, tries
to get forward. He's gonna be sure of the first
down and mcdebitt down with a fourth and two again.
Speaker 5 (01:59:50):
Well, that that first play is gonna loom large, as
mcdebit has to give up the football again here.
Speaker 3 (01:59:58):
So Crusaders will have to a punt.
Speaker 5 (02:00:01):
To Marty's point may have you know, unless they get
it three and ow may not see the ball again
with the wind at their back.
Speaker 3 (02:00:12):
So Gorilla will go back deep the punt, standing at
his sixteen yard line. One man back deep and this
time gets off a nice punt. This'll be caught at
the thirty two yard line. Brought back to the forty
they got the clip and they they get up to
(02:00:33):
the forty eight yard line.
Speaker 4 (02:00:34):
And I went, sorry, I went back there forty years ago.
Call it a clip, But they got the block in
the back.
Speaker 3 (02:00:40):
Obviously, nothing's a given, as we've seen in this game.
So thankfully they get call it. Crusaders down fourteen to seven,
forty nineteen left to play in the third quarter, and
then we'll see where they eventually mar this went off.
Speaker 4 (02:01:08):
You know, the ref got it. They almost let that go.
They didn't communicate with each other. The referee, the back
judge you called it, picked up his flag and walked
away because he assumed he was going to get the penalty,
and he had to holler, oh, okay, we got a
penalty here.
Speaker 3 (02:01:26):
So they bring it back to the thirty yard line,
and that's where the Chargers will take over, going left
the right from the home press box side of things.
Here at Smallsfield, they lead fourteen to seven. Lawler back
to pass, fires went over to the sideline over there,
and a diving catches mate over there in the far
sideline out there by Clark. He gets up and spins
the ball. In the NFL, that's fifteen yard penalty. Now
(02:01:49):
nothing called here.
Speaker 5 (02:01:50):
Well, I think it's a penalty in high school too,
at least I remember getting pull the mcdebviit several times
in the past.
Speaker 4 (02:01:55):
But yeah, if you remember the game previous stars here
last year, two guys did it on two straight plays.
They I won't mention teams, but he got a touchdown,
sponge it. They give him the thing and then they
kick off. He gets a touchdown and he spins it
right after that.
Speaker 5 (02:02:13):
Yeah, they just didn't call.
Speaker 3 (02:02:14):
It this time. Muller we're keeping himself, comes to the
outside and it's tripped up at here, and did I
see some laundry come from.
Speaker 5 (02:02:22):
There's going to be a hold on Clark's.
Speaker 3 (02:02:24):
And Maurice Barns made the tackle.
Speaker 5 (02:02:26):
Still a nice, nice uh spot to tackle there by Barnes,
And it looks like Duffy's cramped down with a cramp.
Speaker 4 (02:02:33):
Yeah, I'm a little surprise. It's actually the first cramp
I think we've seen here today. Maybe Zach Brown.
Speaker 5 (02:02:41):
I think Zachs is also, Yeah, but he was very
very quick.
Speaker 3 (02:02:48):
So there's the hold. Three forty four left of playing
the third mcdeviit's down fourteen to seven. Bring it back
to the forty five yard line.
Speaker 5 (02:03:09):
Sar J's gotta come off, and it looks like they
put Patrick right in number twenty one, the senior who's
the other senior transfer who actually moved here from Minnesota
being chipping. He just came in, moved in this year
(02:03:31):
right before this break before camp.
Speaker 3 (02:03:34):
Meltzer goes in motion for the Chargers to the far side,
all her back to pass. Here comes the pressure. Muller
fires one and this one is almost picked off. Nice
defensive play up here for Bishop McDevitt, and that was
that Reinhardt, I believe.
Speaker 4 (02:03:49):
It was Taler. Reinhardt gets a hand in there and
breaks that up and'na be second down in twenty for
the Chargers, going left to right.
Speaker 3 (02:04:00):
The press box side of things here at smallest field,
the all turf field. One of the Bearcats.
Speaker 5 (02:04:07):
Now, oh, just sloppiness killing mcdebitt today.
Speaker 3 (02:04:12):
Off sides Bishop mcdebitt, tron just trying to get in there,
got a little greedy, trying to get pressure on the quarterback.
Speaker 5 (02:04:21):
Lots of penalties and key situations here.
Speaker 4 (02:04:25):
Scoreboard reading the yard markers wrong. They had that a
second and ten. It was a second and twenty.
Speaker 3 (02:04:31):
It should be second and fifteifteen. Now, yeah, they haven't
two white outs to each side of the field for
the Chargers. Three twenty four left to play in the third,
they still lead mcdebit fourteen to seven. All are back
to pass. Here comes a pressure and he's kind of
fire one down the field. He's got a man wide open.
The crumble on the coverage in the pass is just
(02:04:53):
a little too far for Clark. Mcdebit dodged another bullet there.
Speaker 5 (02:05:00):
Really quick victory off the edge that time by Tarn
Dennis and Zach Brown forcing him to come in. And
now Zach Brown down with another cramp. But yeah, they
forced Muller to step into that throw, maybe a little
quicker than he wanted to, but he did have the
man open, as you said. Are But now it's third
and fifteen, so mcdebbit with an opportunity to maybe get
(02:05:22):
the ball back Marty and still have a chance with
the wind that they're back one more time.
Speaker 4 (02:05:27):
Yeah, there was a point there where Maller actually overthrew
it into the wind. Right Win did actually kind of
died down a little bit on that one and might
had something to do with it. He ended up overthrowing.
Speaker 3 (02:05:39):

Speaker 4 (02:06:06):
Guys. All right, I hope this is appropriate, but I
want to not. This is more of a personal than
a team thing, all right, But we want to get
a little shout out to Redland and beating Cedar Cliff
last night. But I think a little round of applause
for Jamie Thomas. Sure, you know, just a great guy,
good friend of ours. It just you know, it's just
good to see him take get that win. Actually, we
(02:06:28):
ran into oh a good portion maybe fifty sixty percent
of the Cedar Cliff guys at breakfast yesterday. They were
in for a film session and they were ended up
in the same restaurant we were. We were having breakfast.
That got to talk to really some great young gentlemen
there from a Cedar cliff. Very polite. Of course. I
mentioned about i'll see you in a few weeks with
(02:06:49):
mcdebitt and oh you know, and I told him I'll
give him a shout out even though they don't ever
hear it. Well, they got one now, but anyway, Yeah,
but Jamie Thomas and first came there, gets a.
Speaker 3 (02:07:01):
W third down in fifteen Now, two white outs to
each side of the field. Muller back to pass, fires
a bullet over the middle and this is complete for
a first down and more inside the mcdebit twenty four
yard line as they hit Clark that time for a
big play.
Speaker 5 (02:07:17):
Yeah, it's that's a dagger. It's twenty five yards and
they're gonna they're gonna move the ball way down to
the twenty five.
Speaker 3 (02:07:25):
Yeah, that's a big, big play for the Chargers on
that one. Now they come with two whiteouts again to
each side of the field. We're all over with a
handclap trying to get mcdebit to jump.
Speaker 10 (02:07:36):
R. J.
Speaker 5 (02:07:36):
Duffy back in the line up here after the cramp.
Speaker 3 (02:07:41):
Two fifty two left to play and the third mcdebit
down fourteen to seven. Defense has got to rise to
the occasion again. Here guys, Muller waits a snap back
to pass again a bullet, it's tipped in the air
and incomplete. Looking again for that matchup. Tried to hit
clark but Debit got a hand on that one.
Speaker 5 (02:08:02):
Yeah, I was trying to see who batted that ball
up in the air. Shakai Logan coming back in. It's
the point of the game now where we had thought
maybe mcdebit would be able to wear down Clarkson, but
mcdebit having some cramping issues, having some guys needing to
come out for some rest. Here. Now we got an
(02:08:24):
official stop it. I'm sure why.
Speaker 3 (02:08:31):
Some substitutions here for a Clerkson so Haye comes into
the game on the second down and tenant the mcdebit
twenty five yard line. A bunch of three wide outs
over in the far side went back in the backfield
on his second down to ten and Mauler will fake
(02:08:54):
the handoff, keeps it himself, spins up to the twenty
two penalty flag comes fine.
Speaker 5 (02:08:58):
Another hold and pretty much he's keeping that ball every
single time, and RJ. Duffy is just playing his assignment
and he's not coming off of him, so other people
are following the running back. RJ again stays home, makes
the tackle for a three yard game.
Speaker 3 (02:09:18):
So there's the holding cull.
Speaker 4 (02:09:21):
Moler one and he's gonna do some damage to a
lot of teams. Sure, he really is.
Speaker 5 (02:09:26):
They were eight and three last year, playing an unbelievable schedule,
playing Saint Edwards from Ohio Powerhouse. One of their losses
Saint Ignacius I mentioned Saint Francis. They played m hotap.
Speaker 3 (02:09:40):
Second in about twenty two whiteouts to each side of
the field. Maler will fire when over the middle, and
this one is caught inside the twenty yard line and
still pushing forward, doesn't get the first down, but it
is a big game. They'll market all the way down
to the sixteen yard line. That's a number five weed
on the receip.
Speaker 5 (02:10:03):
Third and one here right.
Speaker 3 (02:10:04):
Yep, they're in the long rue and they're going quick.
Muller again trying to get mcdevid to jump with that
handslab and the Crusaders don't. But you see, if Maller
just keeps this himself, she's definitely been a big player
(02:10:26):
in this one.
Speaker 5 (02:10:26):
One two left their bleeding clock. Yeah, they're gonna take
the entire play clock. It's down to five. Now they're
gonna call time out. Yep, they took the whole play clock.
Speaker 3 (02:10:41):
All right, let's take one as well. Mcdeviit trailing fourteen
seven minute twenty eight left to play in the third.

Stronger Together, Unstoppable as one. This is bishopmcdebit football on

Speaker 3 (02:11:41):
All right, Welcome back to Smallsfield here in New York.
Mcdebit down fourteen to seven minute twenty eight left in
the third, a third and one now for the Chargers
offense at the mcdevid sixteen yard line. Weller, we'll line
up under center. They'll bring a man in motion like
a power formation. Here. They hand this one off and
Fish and mc devin initially looked like they were gonna
(02:12:01):
stop it, but they were able to spin forward and
pick up the first down.
Speaker 4 (02:12:05):
Great second effort there, great second effort as we have
seen all day here. Nobody's going down on the initial hit.
Speaker 5 (02:12:13):
Yeah, I mean mcdebit was very strong at the point
of its half there, and like like Art said, they
they looked like they they looked like they had him.
But he picked up the two yards on the second
and third effort.
Speaker 3 (02:12:26):
Two receivers to each side of the field, one back
in the backfield with Mauler again trying to get mcdebit
to jump with that handslap motion while their waits to
snap back to pass fires a fade to the end zone.
And this one is God, I believe that they ruin
(02:12:49):
it completely.
Speaker 5 (02:12:50):
Out of bound. He was out of bound. It perfect
coverage by Crumble. Heck of a catch, but because of
the coverage he came down out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (02:12:59):
You definitely had of a catch like a Plexico Buris
type catch on that one, but out of bounds. So
mcdeviit dodges one bullet there. It'll be second down and
ten at the fourteen yard line. Forty two seconds left
the plane the third I think at worse you gotta
(02:13:21):
try and hold them. No field goal here, guys again,
two white outs to each side of the field, Maulery
looking at the defense. They'll bring a man in motion
from the far side to the near Now Mauler will
fire one to the outside again and this time it
is caught for a touchdown. Coverage was out there by Clement,
(02:13:45):
but they are able to come down with it. It's
number five for them. I believe it's Wade, and just
like that, it's twenty to seven.
Speaker 5 (02:13:54):
Yeah, Wade.
Speaker 3 (02:13:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:13:56):
They also had pass interference on that. I saw the
flag come out. We're going to call it interference.
Speaker 5 (02:14:01):
Perfect timing, we're out there, perfect perfect Muller under pressure.
Mcdebit SENTI blets off the edge and got to him
and he just you know, Poohim three steps perfectly to
the corner.
Speaker 3 (02:14:16):
Jahenan to attempt the extra point here and here's the kick,
and it's blocked and no good logan. So mcdebit stays
within thirteen thirty seven seconds left to play in the
third day trail twenty to seven. Now take another break.
(02:14:40):

Big Debit football on News Radio, Who Hard Radio.
Speaker 3 (02:15:26):
All Right, Mueller's touchdown past the weed has put the
Chargers up twenty to seven over Vision mcdebbit. Extra point block,
So Crusader's down thirteen Now with thirty seven seconds left
to play. Here in the third quarter, Jehan will kick
off going left to right.
Speaker 4 (02:15:45):
And rob as you said, it was a perfect timing pattern.
Speaker 3 (02:15:49):
Is Palmer backdeep for vision, mcdebit standing at his two,
and here's Jeane's kick. It's a line drive kick and
this one will get into the end zone literally like
a yard deep.
Speaker 5 (02:16:04):
Over the goal line.
Speaker 4 (02:16:05):
There once again Eash Palmer just dying to bring one out.
Speaker 5 (02:16:09):
It's like we talk about how important special teams is,
Like we thought mcdebbitt was gonna have a huge edge
this year with Gorella and with our return game, and
today that hasn't been the case. Mcdebbit hasn't had any
opportunity to return the ball, and unfortunately on the punt
you know, Gorilla dropping the snap the one time was
(02:16:31):
a big costly play. So mcdebbit has had a horrible
field position the entire game.
Speaker 3 (02:16:38):
Still quarter left here in thirty seven seconds left, two
wet outs to the far side. One of the near
Sebastian back to pass fires went down the field and
again Gage Ruth over there. This time might have been
some contact that they just rolled in complete.
Speaker 4 (02:16:53):
Back to Ish Palmer not being able to run it out.
You actually hope he doesn't get another kickoff.
Speaker 5 (02:16:58):
Right, Yeah, Looking at that last Playlard, it looked it
almost looked like he rode Gauge out of bounds without
using his hands. He sort of just used his body
to to kind of, I don't know, like just shepherd
him toward the sideline. Engage sort of threw up his
hands like he was expecting a call.
Speaker 4 (02:17:17):
But you're not gonna get a call up. Yeah, And
if he can get away to fight through it, maybe yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (02:17:22):
Know, three white outs to the far side. Here's a
quick pass to the outside, this time to Ish and
Ish takes it up to the twenty eight yard line.
Be third down and two for Bishop mcdeviit with twenty
three seconds left to play in the third See if
the Crusaders get another playoff.
Speaker 5 (02:17:37):
Here Saders need to start going to some tempo and from.
Speaker 3 (02:17:44):
The looks of it, I don't think they are going
to get in their playoffs. The Bastians that were here
in the near sideline on the five seconds left, and
that is going to be the final play of the
third quarter. Guy, so one quarter left to go, Like
debit trailing Clerks in North twenty to seven. Here we'll
switch ends of the field. You're listening to Bish mcdebit

CRUSE Sader and magic never ends. Now, let's get back
to our game.
Speaker 3 (02:19:16):
Third and two for Bishop mcdebit from their own twenty eight,
Sebastian waits a snap, fakes the handoff, now dumps one
of the outside to Liam and it's just too high
and incomplete now here. If you're Bishop mcdebit, guys, is
this go for a territory?
Speaker 5 (02:19:34):
I mean, from your own twenty eight, it's hard to
say you're going to go for it, but I also
think that you're you're basically the situation now where you
almost have to get a three and al and then
Liam was wide open.
Speaker 3 (02:19:47):
Guys, yep, wide open. So it's fourth and two from
the twenty eight, eleven to fifty seven left to play,
Crusaders down twenty to seven. Groll is standing back at
his fifteen yard line. It was a great play call, Yeah,
it was right there.
Speaker 5 (02:20:05):
Great play call.
Speaker 3 (02:20:06):
And Grella does get this one off, but it bounces
at the fifty not his best work. It does take
a bit of a mcdebit row inside the forty five
down to the forty four and that's where mcdebitt will down.
Speaker 4 (02:20:18):
It and Sebastian Williams. On that last pass, he rushed
it a little I don't think there's any question he
rushed at a little bit and uh overshot forward, which
is hard to do at six seven.
Speaker 5 (02:20:30):
Yeah, and he would have had the first down and
then saw I mean, probably could have gotten out close
to midfield. The play design, the play designed as well
as it was. There was so much space cleared out. Yeah,
with defenders further downfield that you know, Liam had a
lot of room to operate there.
Speaker 4 (02:20:50):
And now you're calling on your defense to do what
they did the entire third quarter right be out in
the field.
Speaker 3 (02:20:55):
Yep, he's a three and out or a turnover here.
Two white outs to the near side, one of the
far for the chargers. Muller back to pass. Now he'll
hand this one off to the outside. Mcdebit defends it well,
but still on his feet out there is number three
that's ruined bird. He just refuses to go down.
Speaker 4 (02:21:13):
And ended up. He ran about fifteen in those circles
and unfortunately for him, he got no gain, but good
defense by mcdebit.
Speaker 5 (02:21:24):
Zakay Logan, Zach Brown, and Akilan Smith.
Speaker 4 (02:21:30):
I think you gotta look for a heavy dose of Muler.
Speaker 5 (02:21:32):
Here, Oh absolutely, you.
Speaker 4 (02:21:35):
Know his his reads and.
Speaker 3 (02:21:39):
Two white out so the near side, one to the
far Lauler looking over at the far sideline and just
trying to eat up some clock as are now to
eleven minutes left. Debit needs some Crusader magic here in
the fourth quarter to turn this thing around. Mauler back
to pass. Here comes a pressure fires one over here
in the near sideline and good average by Cromo. It's incomplete.
(02:22:02):
Have a third down situation and mcdebon for a chance
to get off the field here, guys.
Speaker 5 (02:22:07):
In nice pressure that time from the defensive ends on
the edge. Muller didn't have a lot of time and
he just had to let that go.
Speaker 4 (02:22:14):
But you know, credit to Clarkson, they know how to
bleed the clock. This isn't just something that they by accident.
They obviously practice this really well.
Speaker 3 (02:22:24):
Two weight outs each side of the field and all
around third and eight now and.
Speaker 4 (02:22:29):
They're gonna bleed more clock.
Speaker 5 (02:22:31):
Well, no, because after the com Yeah, so that that's
why this is MiG Devin really has to get off
here because you could get the ball back with you know,
ten and a half minutes are a little more if
you get if you get off here, all are back to.
Speaker 3 (02:22:44):
Pass kind of fire one down the field and he
just off the fingertips of his receiver out there, Clark
and incomplete. If he catches it, that's an easy touchdown
but incomplete, and a couple of mcdebit players the players
for Clarkson nor if knockdown a mcdebit player, no flag man.
Speaker 4 (02:23:06):
That was the second part. Ark, you definitely missed it.
Speaker 5 (02:23:09):
Yeah, Tron Dennis has been so close to I don't
know a half dozen sacks. I think you guys comment
earlier he just at that time again he was he
hit him literally as he was throwing the ball. He
just just a split second. But hey, you got off
the field.
Speaker 3 (02:23:24):
So so an opportunity here for mcdebbit. You got exactly
what you needed. Ten forty four left to play, Tunny
time to get two scores. The low snap, it's on
the ground and they are still able to get that
punt off and it's a high booming punt. Ish Palmer
will let this thing bounce and they down it. Backing
(02:23:45):
around the ten yard line.
Speaker 5 (02:23:46):
You want to talk about a turn of events. Terrible
punt snap, but mcdebnits was not rushing anybody off, so
he he took like four seconds to pick it up
and then Ish Palmer lets the punt bounce. McDavid's now
looking at staring ninety yards ahead of them.
Speaker 4 (02:24:03):
All right, Just to go back to that play before that,
I won't say the name. The mcdebit player deliberately ran
up to the Clarkson guy, ran into him, and then
when he turned into a little bit of a he
did a real flop. It was an NBA. There's no doubt.
Speaker 3 (02:24:19):
Lebron James special.
Speaker 4 (02:24:20):
Absolutely Lebron James Special. He's really lucky he didn't get
it for the very first initial contact.
Speaker 3 (02:24:29):
Suppose that the ten yard line, first down in ten,
mcdebit going left right from the press box side of things,
they need a big play to say the least.
Speaker 5 (02:24:37):
Here, Yeah, just again, miserable field position.
Speaker 3 (02:24:40):
Once again, swoops in the backfield and now there comes
some laundry from way down the field and there's a game.
Now what you're looking for. They're on first down. Needless
to say, it'll make it first down in fifteen all
the way back at the five yard line. You need
two scores here with ten thirty four left to play. Now,
(02:25:05):
Sebastian back to pass fires, went down the middle of
the field and incomplete tried to hit Holton Junior up
around the twenty twenty five yard line. And that was
kind of weird there. All the defense was backed off
there for the Chargers and then they all just came
flying in as mcdebit snapped the ball.
Speaker 4 (02:25:23):
It was a very unique blitz which to pick up right,
like six guys are as you said, like six guys
just came to the middle and just all rushed. I mean,
Sebastian had to get rid.
Speaker 3 (02:25:33):
Of it, just like a big gigantic wave crashing down
in Sebastian there, second and fifteen and mcdebit will run
at this time.
Speaker 21 (02:25:42):
And.
Speaker 3 (02:25:44):
I mean they're able to pick up about five, but
it's going to be third down and ten. I think
that was swoops on the run. Yes, the third and
ten for mcdebit, and need to come up with something here.
Speaker 5 (02:26:02):
Well the last several third downs. The positive look at
it is there was good play calls and there was
plays there. There was receivers open in space. So coach
Wector's been dialing up some good plays and we'll see
here if they can convert.
Speaker 3 (02:26:19):
Clicking Ruth on the near side. Sebastian back to pass
fires went over the middle and it's to the tight
end and it is knocked out of bounds at the
end and they're going to rule it incomplete.
Speaker 4 (02:26:31):
They just couldn't finish it.
Speaker 5 (02:26:32):
And that time Sebastian did put it right on Rayham
Fuller's hands and Liam as he was going to the
ground with the defender, just lost the ball as he
hit the ground unfortunately.
Speaker 3 (02:26:46):
So another missed opportunity for the Crusaders. That's been a
common theme here today.
Speaker 5 (02:26:50):
Yeah, I mean Sebastian there stood in there, nice ball,
but it would have been about a fifteen yard completion
and enough to move the chains.
Speaker 4 (02:26:59):
And there comes that wind blowing Aiden Grella's face here
as he's getting ready to.
Speaker 3 (02:27:03):
Bunt standing in his own end zone the kick returner
at the forty five of Fish and mcdebbit, and Grella
does get off a kick, but this one will die
at the thirty three yard line kicking into that wind,
and unfortunately, great field position for Clarkson North here with
nine thirty four left to play in this game, Bish
(02:27:27):
and mcdebit fisha mcdebit football brought to you by Constellation Energy,
producing clean, reliable energy, empowering new opportunities for families and
communities across central Pennsylvania. We bring the energy. Here, come
the chargers back onto the field. Balls at the thirty
three thirty four yard line of Bish mcdebbit. Two white
(02:27:51):
outs to each side of the field. Well, every time
he comes up here, tries to get mcdebit to jump
off sides with that hand slide happened, and ultimately looks
over to his sideline. Two right outs to each side
of the field. Now they will hand this one off.
This time he does give it to his back. That's
(02:28:13):
for ruin. Bird tries the near sideline, Not much there,
and I think mcdebit did knock him out of bounds.
Speaker 13 (02:28:19):
Over here in the near sideline, trying to see is
somebody down.
Speaker 5 (02:28:31):
It looks like they stop the clock, wondering if there's
a player penalty. Oh, there's a penalty. Okay, I didn't
even I didn't even see the flag. It must be
it must be right on the sideline, I thought, maybe
there was a player down there in that pile that
we just couldn't see.
Speaker 3 (02:28:50):
So they get the holding call and now we'll back
it up here nine twenty sixth left to play here
in the fourth mcdebit down twenty to seven.
Speaker 4 (02:28:57):
Yeah, the near sideline judge all that dropped the flag
right on the sidelines, i think, towards the end of
the play.
Speaker 3 (02:29:06):
And two wet outs to each side of the field
ruined bird and they're running back all over the quarterback.
He's back to pass. There comes the pressure fires one
down the field. Clerk thought he was going to have
that one and walk into the end zone just enough
(02:29:29):
from the defender.
Speaker 5 (02:29:30):
And that was one where And I think I complained
about this every year. You never you really never see
offensive pass interference called high school. He had his hands
on the var Chance the corner from mcdebit. The freshman
had his hand all over Davar Chance's shoulder for about
a good five yards. But they just let him play
And I'm fine with that. Yeah, it's just he's got
(02:29:51):
to reach. Yeah, it just that's how he was able
to get any separation. Is he He grabbed da var
and kind of pulled on.
Speaker 3 (02:29:58):
Him two wet outs to the near side, and this
time the ball's on the ground and Bishop mcdebbon recovers Smith.
I believe in there for the Crusaders, Yes, and Smith,
that might be the play the Crusaders need to change
their luck here now down twenty to seven. Unfortunately, a
player down for mcdebbit. I belt, it's just Brown again.
Speaker 4 (02:30:19):
I believe that was Brown was on the hit. Wasn't he?
Speaker 5 (02:30:22):
Yes, but he's holding his shoulder or arm. Doesn't he
look like he's kind of holding it gingerly? Yeah, So
hopefully it's just a stinger and nothing worse than that.
Speaker 3 (02:30:34):
The Crusaders offense was takeover now all back at the
forty seven yard line of Bishop mcdebit. But the opportunity
they needed got to convert. Now down twenty to seven,
eight to fifty four left to play in this game.
Sebastian will hand this one off to Swoop. Swoops initially
tackled down. Now he's not backwards, still running with the ball.
(02:30:56):
Finally they take him down back to the thirty nine
yard line. That's about a eight yard loss or something.
Speaker 5 (02:31:07):
Shit, Yeah, it looks like they're gonna market at Yeah,
about a seven yard loss. This wind is just never
let up the whole bang.
Speaker 3 (02:31:26):
So it'll make it second and seventeen eight fifteen left
to play, like debit going left right from the press
box side of things here at smallest field in New York.
Three wide outs to the far side, one of the
near Sebastian will dump this one of the outside out
here to LaRue, and LaRue looking to make something happen,
and he spun down immediately back at the thirty five
yard line. There's nothing to get started there.
Speaker 5 (02:31:49):
All of a sudden, it's third down and twenty.
Speaker 3 (02:31:51):
Two mcdebit wants to win this game, definitely say you
gotta two down territory.
Speaker 5 (02:32:02):
Yeah, you gotta, you gotta get uh, you gotta get
like half of it back here.
Speaker 3 (02:32:08):
Yeah, and Fuller has been open on pretty much every
time they've tried that, so maybe they can pick up
a chunk of it here. Let's see what the Crusaders
do here. Three white outs to the near side, one
to the far I think they have Barns in there
running back. They come with the heavy pressure and the
(02:32:29):
pass is just kind of dumped over the middle and incomplete.
Speaker 4 (02:32:33):
It was tipped and in fairness here baptism by fire.
Sebastian Williams has not had a lot of time today.
Speaker 5 (02:32:44):
Oh absolutely, you know, I mean, no, you're you're absolutely right,
and a couple of the nicer completions he's had or where.
Speaker 4 (02:32:53):
He extended to play with.
Speaker 3 (02:32:56):
Yes, So mcdebit'll Puntrella is back standing at his twenty
two yard line, still seven thirteen left to play, mcdebit,
three timeouts. Relly gets off a high punt but with
the wind.
Speaker 4 (02:33:12):
Just knocked it down.
Speaker 3 (02:33:15):
And it'll go out of bounds at around the forty
three yard line or so, So we'll see if the
Crusaders maybe they can get another turnover or something here.
But still time, seven oh six left to play, and
the Crusader's down twenty to seven, and really.
Speaker 4 (02:33:35):
The mcdebit defense has just been worn down since ire
second and the game, the game has gone the absolutely
reverse of how I thought in terms of a bad
angle of things, absolutely verse of But one of the
coaches told me where hand that they anticipated that they
would wear Clarkson.
Speaker 3 (02:33:51):
Down clarks and North two wide receivers to the near side,
and Mauler will hand this one off up the middle
and they picked up about or on that one. That
time it'll be second down and six Smith and Barnes
and there on the tackles from mcdebit.
Speaker 4 (02:34:08):
So I anticipated some clock here.
Speaker 3 (02:34:15):
Arun Bird. We've said that name a lot today. On
that carry gets three, we'll have two white outs to
the near side, one of the far two backs back
there or blocking back on a tail back in the backfield.
Now they switch a couple of alignement around here, and
(02:34:40):
Muller will hand this one off again. And here's a
nice run up the middle. This time the Arun Bird,
and I believe he's gonna pick up the first down.
Speaker 4 (02:34:51):
Boller, not just when he keeps the ball. He's not
an excellent job reading here today. Now he went to
hand it off. Now he wanted to keep it tucking down.
Now I wanted to throw. He's done an excellent job.
Speaker 5 (02:35:03):
Yeah, he's He's looks like a guy that's been around
a while. Even though I believe this is his first
year as the full time starter. I thought he split
time from what I could gather last year.
Speaker 3 (02:35:15):
So two wide receivers to the near side for the Chargers,
one to the far five forty five left to play
in the game and letting that clock tick down as
much as they want to. Right now, and Mueller again
another handoff his time mcdeviit gets in there, and finally
they take him down for rowned birds. Looked like he
was gonna pick up a couple, and we'll see where
(02:35:37):
they spotted.
Speaker 5 (02:35:40):
Maurice Barnes again in on that one and leading the way.
Speaker 3 (02:35:45):
So we'll say no loss, no gain, second and ten
play clocks at twenty five, five to ten. Let's to play.
Speaker 4 (02:35:54):
It's gonna creep under five minutes here.
Speaker 3 (02:36:00):
Winds continue to blow here at smalls Field and York
as they have all afternoon, very sunny, nice afternoon, just
a bit windy. Play clock is down to three. Now
they snap it and they will hand this one off,
this time to uh number thirty two. That time that's
Martin Penley. He's able to pick up about five. It
(02:36:24):
looks like.
Speaker 5 (02:36:27):
The quel and Smith again coming up from his strong
safety spoties. He's had a bunch of tackles today.
Speaker 3 (02:36:36):
Debits still with three timeouts left, so third and five
and they're gonna use up every second of that play clock.
Mcdebbit's got any shot here, got I think you gotta
stop him here, Oh.
Speaker 5 (02:36:56):
Yeah, because otherwise they'll they'll make you burn all your timeouts.
What the new set of downs, and they really have.
Speaker 4 (02:37:02):
Two downs here to play with if they want.
Speaker 3 (02:37:04):
Here's a handoff up the middle and it's a big
run twenty fifteen ten down to about the ten yard line,
and I'm not going to say that that'll do it,
but it I'm sure makes it close.
Speaker 5 (02:37:17):
The keel and Smith with a touchdown saving tackle there.
Speaker 4 (02:37:20):
Yeah, actually stole the ball, but I think he was
on the ground. Well, he tried, he tried, and he
came out with it, but pretty think he was down
until he got it out. I know it was a
little disappointed there that he didn't get that fumble call.
Speaker 3 (02:37:34):
But so three thirty eight left to play as that
balls at the twelve yard line is where they spotted it.
So first down for the Chargers as they lead twenty
to seven. Two white outs to the near side, one
of the far and here's a handoff up the middle,
(02:37:57):
and then just refusing to go. Town is the running
back for Clerks and North just an impressive physical football team,
and you're able to pick up about four on that carry.
It'll be second down at six three minutes to go,
and this one's Clerkson North just eating up time here,
(02:38:26):
Devin saving those timeouts. Play clock is down to seventeen.
They continue to note vat clock and win continues to
blow two common themes here today. And they will take
(02:38:47):
this one up the middle and just shy the goal
line it looks like.
Speaker 4 (02:38:54):
And it's the first and goal there, so.
Speaker 3 (02:38:57):
First down and goal with two twenty left to play.
Speaker 5 (02:39:02):
The Chargers r J Duffian's to Ron Dennis combining there
on that stop just short of the goal line.
Speaker 3 (02:39:14):
And you go back and look at the tape of
this game, guys, just some missed opportunities. I think the
pass deep down the field did John Tate quick where
he was tripped up and the mcdebit didn't get the
call now and that could have been a touchdown. Just
some opportunities in this game.
Speaker 5 (02:39:29):
Some costly penalties, have a lot of that extended drives
yea for Clarkson.
Speaker 3 (02:39:37):
Minute forty left to play in this one, and now
they will take a time out. We'll take one as
well here. Mcdebit down twenty to seven, minute forty left
to play. You're listening to Vish mcdebit football, Karon Fox

This is the kickoff Roosebowl Classic here vision mcdebit trail
in twenty to seven. Here a minute forty left to
play here against the solid Clarks and North team out
of Canada. And then the Chargers have a first down
and goal at the mcdevid's one yard line. And see
(02:41:01):
if they found this thing in here. Marler quarterback in there,
looks back over at the sideline. A couple of linemen
changed places. There, wall are under center. They bring a
man in motion and here as they hand off up
(02:41:22):
the middle and they will just walk into the end
zone for a touchdown. Trying to see a number on
that one.
Speaker 5 (02:41:31):
Guys, I believe it was it was number. Was it
was it eight? Or was it four? I thought it
might have been a Mason Moore killed on the touchdown there.
Speaker 3 (02:41:49):
Any event, they get to six points in a lead,
twenty six to seven, minute thirty seven left to play
in this one, Jahine Ao attempt the extra point and
the kick is up and it is good, So that
makes it twenty seven to seven. Clarkson North the Chargers
(02:42:10):
out of Ontario lead this one. We'll keep things here, guys.

twenty five season. So Ish Palmer backdep for Bishop mcdebc
it Jaheena on the kickoff. Here Saders down twenty seven
to seven, minute thirty seven left to play in this one.
Here's Jean's kick and uh as it's gone all day.
(02:43:16):
It sales over Ish Palmer's head and then through the
end zone. So debit, we'll get the touch back. Next week.
Vision mcdebit, we'll travel over and take on Harrisburg on
the road. I have that game for you Saturday afternoon

Speaker 5 (02:43:39):
One Severance field. The Cougar is expected to be UH

to win the Commonwealth Division. McDavid of course picked second.
Unfortunately that the game's played so early again this year,
but that's just how it fell.
Speaker 4 (02:43:55):
A lot of D one players on the field next week.
Speaker 3 (02:43:58):
And mcdebit, we'll run this one up the middle on
a lot of lead pushing and shoving there.
Speaker 4 (02:44:05):
Yeah, fans, you might want to come out because there's
gonna be a lot of talent yes on that field
next week. Those sides of the football.
Speaker 3 (02:44:15):
Minute fifteen left to play here in this when mcdevid's
down twenty seven to seven, and we.
Speaker 5 (02:44:25):
Should point out as kind of disappointing as this is.
If you're listening to this performance today, the silver lining,
if you want to be positive about it, is it
means absolutely nothing in terms of District three playoffs.
Speaker 3 (02:44:38):
Here's a handoff from mcdebit up the middle and again
some leak pushing and shoving, and that was Maurice Barnes
on the run that time picked up about maybe about
what it'll be third and one.
Speaker 5 (02:44:52):
Because whenever you play a team that's not a PIA
a team winning wins, win, or whether you win or lose,
it does not go into your equation for playoffs.
Speaker 3 (02:45:07):
Twenty six seconds left, the players, another handoff the Barns.
He's got the first down as he gets up to
about the thirty five yard line and we're down to
twenty seconds left. We'll see if mcdebit even runs another play, but.
Speaker 5 (02:45:25):
There will be a lot for the coaching staff to
clean up here. And you know, I think it's kind
of a cliche, but we've probably heard it over and
over over the years that you can make your most
improvement from week one to week two. And last year
we saw Harrisburg get absolutely hummeled by LaSalle College in
week one and then come back and beat mcdebit in
week two. So just throwing that out there.
Speaker 3 (02:45:48):
All right, that's gonna do it is a good clerks.
The North team plays a really solid football game here
today and they take to win twenty seven to seven
over Bishop mcdebitt, So that will do it. Will now

Speaker 3 (02:47:56):
Hi right, Welcome back to Smallsfield here in your home
of the Ericas is the York Rose Bull Kickoff Classic
here and unfortunately, Vision mcdebit comes up short here today
against Clerkson North. Twenty seven to seven was the final score.
Try and recap this game here for you. Mcdebit fell
behind with two forty seven left to play in the
first quarter. Jacob Mauler, who played a really good game
(02:48:20):
for this Charger team, took the ball himself twenty one
yards to the house. It was seven to nothing Chargers
at that point. Mcdebbitt would come back with a good
driver of their own, Sebastian Williams some nice passes and
he would hit John take Quick in the back of
the end zone to tie the game at seven with
four seconds left to play in the first quarter. But
again Maler with a long run would put the Chargers
(02:48:42):
in scoring tears the end zone for a touchdown. Massimo
for run Bird took it in and that made it
fourteen to seven. Then it looked like the Crusaders were
going to fall down by two scorers. As a Chargers
the ball inside the mcdebit ten yard line, but the
defense rose to the occasion forced a missfield goal, and
(02:49:05):
you thought, okay, mcdebit's got a shot here. Crusaders would
put a good drive together and just could not finish it.
Throw up fourteen to seven there at the half. Then
unfortunately mcdebitt would mess up a punt situation there, but
they dodged another bullet, had some other opportunities, and then
finally this time, the Chargers would go up twenty to
(02:49:28):
seven thirty seven seconds left in the third quarter. The
extra point was blocked, and I had hoped that mcdebit
could come back, but the Crusaders just really couldn't put
much together in the fourth quarter of this game. And
then Chargers would add one more late kind of a
meaningless touchdown here on a short run, and they win
the game twenty seven to seven over Fish and mcdebitt.
(02:49:50):
So that's our scoring recap. We'll take another break, come
back and give our player of the game, and we'll
talk about mcdebit Harrisburg next week. You're listening to the

All right, welcome back here to Smallsfield in York for
the final time. Here today in this York Roose will
kickoff classic game between Bishop mcdevon, Clerks and North Is.
The wins continue to roar here up on the.
Speaker 5 (02:51:37):
Top of the warturing us, absolutely torturing us.
Speaker 3 (02:51:41):
Definitely not one of the not a fun afternoon of
a football after mcdevon fan and or mcdevid announced at
this point for Saders fallow here twenty to seven in
this game, and guys, time for our player or players
of the game. I think we're all in agreement as
far as Clerks and north goes. You would give the
(02:52:01):
the award to their quarterback Jacob Muller, and he had
the twenty one yard run that started off the scoring
for them, and then when mcdebit tied it, he had
another really big long run. It really changed the momentum.
Speaker 5 (02:52:14):
Sixty yard run. Yeah, I mean that sixty yard run.
Speaker 3 (02:52:17):
You really felt like mcdebit might be able to get
the ball back and get the lead and start taking
control here. And then after that run, it just really
put mcdebit in the hole and it just felt like
it was an uphill battle.
Speaker 5 (02:52:28):
The rest of the afternoon. Guys, he was he was
the maestro. I mean, he was totally in command. He
made some great decisions. He had commanded that Reid option game.
You know, was able to get rid of the football
when he was under pressure. And you know, again I
highlighted the size. We highlighted the physicality line of scrimmage.
(02:52:49):
Clarkson North was big on paper. Sometimes when you see
roster heights in which you want to see what they are,
they really that big. They were that big. They were
some bad dudes, and hy they won the day up front.
Speaker 4 (02:53:02):
I think you got a add too. This actually could
have been a lot worse. Muller missed a couple of
at least three touchdowns by just by a couple of
yards you know on overthrows, and it really could have
been a lot worse.
Speaker 3 (02:53:17):
Maybe maybe not though because you throw the deep ball
down the middle of the John Tate quick and you're
talking about different ball game there too though, So.
Speaker 4 (02:53:23):
Yeah, yeah, but I mean this was the entire second
half was you know played in mc Tivit's defense and
credit there.
Speaker 5 (02:53:32):
I mean were on the field a time.
Speaker 4 (02:53:34):
They were on the field a ton anxious to see
time and possession there. And I mean it's the first game.
You need to see what you have. You know, they'll
they'll look at film and they'll you know, come out
and uh you know, as Rob said, they always say
your your best improvement. Most improvement comes up from week
(02:53:54):
one to week two. They're going to have to have
a lot of improvement for week two.
Speaker 5 (02:53:59):
Playing a very team, well they'll be they were already
gonna be an underdog and now they're probably gonna be
a significant underdog, which you know, Jeff Wector has beaten
Harrisburg before is a big underdog, and the most notably
in a district playoff game when the great George chomp
Was had one of his best teams and Harrisburg was
(02:54:19):
not only the number one seed in District three, but
was considered to be a state championship contender back in
the days of four classes in four A and mcdebit
went to Severance Field and won that game. So again,
you know, mcdebitt, that's one of those games where you're
another cliche, you just kind of throw it out. I
think if there was a team for mcdebit to play
coming off of this game, that would be the one.
(02:54:42):
If you were playing anybody else, you would think, are
these guys gonna doubt themselves? Are they gonna linger on
this loss, Are they gonna sulk or they gonna lose confidence?
But they have no choice to get to get in,
you know, have a great week of practice and go
up there and compete.
Speaker 4 (02:54:57):
And I think we want to point out if you
want to look at a a player of the game
for mcdebit, I think r J. Duffy, Yes, just had
a great really picked up from where he you know,
left off last year, just really jumped right into this
leadership bro on defense and really did a good job
for the Crusader.
Speaker 3 (02:55:15):
And I think Rob made a great point. I mean,
we literally sat in the same spot last year and
watched that Harrisburg score roll in as Harrisburg was just
destroyed in their football game, and we were all feeling
great here as mcdevid played a great game here in
the Rose Bowl Classic last year to win. And then
of course Harrisburg came to mcdebit last year and pulled
that game out at Rock Rotenzio Stadium. So things can
(02:55:38):
change quickly from week to week, and we know McDevitt
has a talent to do it, and it just didn't
work out today for Vision mcdebitt and credit of this
Clerk's the North team, a battle tested program that definitely
plays a lot of good opponents and there's just a
good physical football team. Give them a lot of credit
here today.
Speaker 4 (02:55:55):
Oh yeah, they did it, correct me if I'm wrong here, Rob,
but they they did take advantage of Innix Aaron, some
mcdebit's offensive line lots right blitz you know, lots of
blitzes that weren't picked up. I mean, in his first
varsity start, Sebastian Williams did not really have a lot
of time to make decisions today.
Speaker 5 (02:56:13):
No two tackles that had never you know, started a game.
In fact, Andre maynot sophomore right tackle, had never played
a varsity snap. Aiden mctish has played some varsity ball,
but never starter. And they're new, you know. So we
talked about it coming in the offseason, guys, and whenever
anybody said, oh, well, what about a new quarterback, and
(02:56:33):
we would say, well, what about two new offensive tackles.
And I will tell you not sharing any secrets that
are inappropriate to share, but when you talk to Brandon
Wector and Jake Minnick, mcdebbit's offensive line coaches privately, you know,
off the record, but I have no problem sharing this
because it's a good thing. In private. They're both very
(02:56:55):
confident in those two young men at tackle, and they've
said they're getting better. They've gotten better over the summer,
they've gotten better during the acclamation of during camp. But
it's like anything else, you get a little better each day.
But the first as Jeff Wector always says, the first
four weeks of your season, you really don't know what
you have until about four games in, and those kids
(02:57:17):
will get there. It's just gonna take a little while.
Speaker 4 (02:57:20):
And coach Wector said to me again off air that
he expects us to be a very good football team. Yes,
no matter what happens Week one and two, he expects
us to be a very good football team.
Speaker 5 (02:57:31):
Barring some kind of you know, injury situations. This team,
despite today, will be the favorite to win District three
to five A even if they lose next week, and
will be a top four favorite to play first state
title in five A.
Speaker 3 (02:57:49):
Yeah, we'll be talking about this as a learning experience
and two months down the road, no doubt about it.
All Right, we're gonna end the broadcast today as mcdavitt
loses here today twenty seven to seven the Clark North
And next Saturday we'll have Bish McDavid at Harrisburg at
Severn's Field twelve thirty airtime here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
I want to thank everyone for listening to the game today.
(02:58:11):
Eli Fessler did a nice job back in the studio.
Speaker 12 (02:58:13):
J C.
Speaker 3 (02:58:14):
Floyd with sammelb Marty Bowman awesome as always, and Rob
Aglise on top of everything as well. And thanks to
coach Jeff Wector for the coach's interview this week as well.
