opening possession, go down to fieldquickly a forty four yard touchdown pass from
Derek Zammitt, the sophomore quarterback.He hit Dez Jones and with eleven h
three left to play in the firstquarter, it was seven nothing. Mc
devitt would give the ball back thistime to Paul would drive down the field

to Paul Catholic would drive down thefield four fifteen left. It would be
James on an easy one yard touchdownrun to make it fourteen nothing. Crusaders
would get some good field position andthen Nazire Jones Davis with a spectacular run

eighteen fourteen to Paul Catholic. McDevittwould come back with three uh eight left
to play. A beautiful touchdown pathfrom Stone Saunders to Chase Reagan from fifty
yards out made it twenty eight twenty. The extra point was blocked and then
really tough drive for Bishop McDevitt isthe Paul Catholic would drive down the field.

A penalty on McDevitt really hurt things. They threw a long pass down
the field that Kephart stopped it frombeing a touchdown. There was a flag
down. The teams returned to midfieldas if it was a penalty against the

an advantage for McDevitt having played agame last week, being able to clean

well, when you get down early, it kind of stunts that mcdevit's only
carried the ball eight times. Andwhen I say carried the ball eight times,
two of those eight times were StoneSaunders, one of them him getting
sacked, one of them him scramblingout of trouble for a four yard touchdown.

So you take those two plays out, they've really only had six design
runs, so rushing yards for McDevittat halftime twenty four yards rushing, one
hundred and twelfth passing, So you'rebeing out game two seventy five to one,
thirty six first downs to Paul fourteen, McDevitt eight, and then you
got the big kick return. SoMcDevitt down two scores here, still a

whole half to play, and partof me feels like, you know,
mcdevit's shown that they can do alot of damage, but have to be
honest here, aren't that, youknow, the defense really just hasn't hasn't
come close to stopping this team andstopping this offense. If you look back
at the drives, you know theyhad a quick to play touchdown drive.
Then they had a long drive whereyou know when mcdevit's gotten them into third

downs, they've usually been third inshorts. They did have one third and
twelve where zam It used his legsand scrambled for a first down. But
you know another fourteen play drive whereyou had only three third downs, two
of them were third and ones.There was a third and thirteen where zam

It hit the division one Des Jonesfor a sixteen yard or and then that
last drive, you know they hada third and third down and one because
of the five yard penalty instead ofa third and six. So you know,
Dan Lansing obviously has gotten a lotof credit the last couple of years.
I'm sure he's gonna make some adjustments. But again, you're up against
a team that is just is loadedtalented across the board, all over the

fields. It's like a mirror imagetonight. Yeah for me, the three
keys in this first half, mcdevit'soffense got off to a slow start,
so they're down fourteen nothing before theyreally got things going, and then they
kick off return. The second thingreally hurt, and the third McDevitt had

Yeah, Ricos got made a reallynice efforts to come back to the football

catch it, but the referee makingthe motion for out of bounds, and

I want to mention Dallas Davenport,the two hundred and sixty pound guard really
with a nice block there. Stonewas in trouble trying to get away.
