in this first half. Crusaders would score seven nineteen left
to play in the first quarter on a touchdown pass

from Sebastian Williams to Harold Horden Junior catted it around
the ten yard line and put a couple of moves
on the defensive back. He has had one more man
to beat to get to the end zone, and he did.
Were up seven to nothing after one. The Exeter Township
defense did a decent job early on against the mcdebit
rushing attack until Swoops broke one for fifty three yards

with eleven nineteen left to play and a half, and
just like that, mcdebitt was up fourteen to nothing. Crusaders
would score again on a nine yard touchdown run by
LaRue Junior with five thirteen left and the half, and
mcdebitt was up twenty one nothing at that point, and
then Maurice Barnes Junior with a six yard touchdown run

Mitchititch and Joshua Thomas Spencer musty all those seniors for
Bishop mcdebitt. And can't forget Liam Fuller as well part
of that senior class as well. So we debit up
twenty eight to nothing here, but obviously a giant senior
class for Bisho mcdebit. And you know this, this is

a senior class. It's hoping to win three state championships
in four years for Bishop mcdebit and it's hard to leave.
I mean, so many years of frustration for this Bishop
mcdebit football team into the state playoffs and uh, the
opportunity to win three and four years is would be
quite an accomplishment for Bishop mcdebitt.

Yeah, it really would. And uh, you know, it's funny
you mentioned this week I kind of thinking about, I mean,
twenty eight seniors for whatever reason. Normally, you know, we
see twelve thirteen guys, eleven twelve thirteen on a regular
basis of seniors graduating, and to look at twenty eight seniors,
a lot of talent that is going to be leaving

this program. Fortunately, a lot of talent with the younger guys,
and we've seen some of that and you know in
some of the games where mcdevit's had had the big
leads in that. So but just two sets I wanted
to put out here is at Sebastian Williams is unofficially
seven for ten, one hundred and twelve yards and a touchdown.

Holton Junior two catches thirty six yards and one of
those is a touchdown, and Jones Davis five carries sixty
six yards a touchdown. That fifty three yarder that you
mentioned in fifty three yarder put him over one thousand
yards for the year. So big accomplishment there for Jones Davis.

So uh yeah, Art, it would be quite the accomplishment.
Three three state championships, you know, in your four years
at the school would really be something to walk away with.

We watched a lot of Bischa mcdebbit football together through
the years, and a lot of frustrating games at Hershey
Park Stadium, and some disappointments in that Western semi final
out there, and and for the Crusaders though, to to
finish this up would be a heck of an accomplishment
of course, uh in too and over at Chapman Field
in these state championship games. So it's been it's been

a lot. It hasn't been the house of ours. Hershey
Park Stadium has been in state finals for Bishop mcdebit.

kind of grown, uh kind of grown a liking to
Chapman Field over there at the Cuverland Valley, and it
was it was a big thrill for me to to
be there last year to broadcast that state championship and
be able to go down on the field and you know,
get to talk to some of the coaches and some

of the guys.

And then win it in the fashion that they did.
I mean, you have a big lead and kind of

stop on defense as to believe the rooman Catholic missed
the field goal there and then Vision McDevitt's able to

convert it, and from sitting where we were, the initial
reaction was it didn't go through. And then of course
we just watched the Fisher Golf with the two arms
and signal the field goal was good, and then it
was just pandemonium. Couldn't get down to the field fast
enough and sign off and get down to celebrate with
the Crusaders on the winning a state championship. But a

lot of work here to do. I mean, you have
to finish this game off here tonight, and of course
we should also talk about it. Obviously a big moule
stone potentially coming up for coach Wector.

Marty, Yeah, coach Wector wins this one, it's going to

you know, striving for the district championship. If big, then

you do want to remind people they say, well why

one in forty two, why don't they play it that? Well,
schools do not have to make themselves available for these
playoff games, so you have to go with who will
make themselves available and who you got to keep in mind.
These schools have to you know, there's the security, the refreshments,

just traffic control and all that, and it's it's a
lot for a school to take on. And if schools
have been eliminated for the playoffs, they have to get
all their workers to be willing to come in. So
it's it's a big task to host one of these
district championship games.
