Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Blessings in Christ. I'm Scott Roberts. Blessings in
Christ is also the Church of Christ, preaching the gospel
of our Lord and Savior, in Jesus Christ. Of heat
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. The Church
of Christ is scriptural in name Romans sixteen sixteen, scriptural
and origin Colossians one, eighteen, scriptural and doctrine one, Timothy
(00:21):
fourth sixteen and scriptural in practice James one and twenty two.
Our lesson today is saved by the blood of Christ
Colossians one in nineteen. For it pleased the Father that
in him should all fullness dwell, and, having made peace
through the blood of his cross by him, to reconcile
(00:44):
all things unto himself by him. I say whether the
things on earth are the things in heaven, also.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
In Romans five and verse eight.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
But God commendeth his love towards us, that while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us much more than
being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him once again. Our lesson is saved
by the blood of Jesus Christ. We hope that you
enjoy the lesson today. Please like us on Facebook. Thank
(01:15):
you so.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
I wanted to do a.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Lesson and it's called Saved by the Blood, Saved by
the Blood of Jesus Christ. In the world today, there's
a lot of ideas and a lot of a lot
of beliefs and opinions on how one is saved. And
when I say the term saved here, you know we
know that it's not once saved, always saved. We must
(01:39):
be faithful on to death Rumins two and verse ten.
We must live that Christian life, and the Bible says
that it's a point of demand wants to die. And
after this the judgment, we will all be judged. And
as Jesus said, every idle word we will be judged on,
meaning that there are no idle words when it comes
to our Christian life. Everything we see, say or do.
(02:01):
We must do our best in our Christian life. But
there are a lot of ideas. Some people believe that
you go forward at whatever denomination or whatever building that
you attend, and you testify, or you pray through or
you believe in Jesus Christ, or you live a morally
good life. But that's not what the Bible says. The
(02:24):
Bible says, of course we are saved when we obey
the Gospel, and of course we are saved not only
by Jesus Christ, but by the blood, the blood sacrifice
of Jesus Christ. So this lesson is for new converts.
And we're going to do a lesson called Saved by
the Blood. I like examples from the Old Testament. So
(02:45):
if you would turn to Exodus chapter twelve. Everybody will
need a Bible this morning because we're going.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
To read the story of the Passover.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
And of course this was the last play in Egypt
when the pharaoh would actually allow the nation of Israel,
the future the children of Israel, to be freed, and
this was the death of the firstborn. The instructions given
that Moses and Aaron gay to the children of future
(03:18):
children of Israel was that there had to be a sacrifice.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Of an animal. I think it was a sheep or.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
A goat, and the blood had to be put on
the doorpost, and when the Angel of Death would pass
through that night, if there was a dwelling or a
home that did not have the blood on the door post,
then the first born would be would be killed.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
But if the.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Blood was on the door post, then the angel.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Of Death would pass over. That's so hence the term
past passover.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
And it's interesting, regardless of who was in that building,
whether big, whether it's small, whether young, whether old, regardless
of who was in that dwelling, if they were in
this dwelling or this home that had the blood on
the doorposts, then the angel of Death would pass over them.
(04:19):
So that is a comparison to the church today. Regardless
of how many sins we might have committed, or how
sinful we were, or how important we are in the community,
when we come into the church and we obey the
goscile planet of salvation and we come in contact with
the blood of Christ, we are saved.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
We are saved, and.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Instead of an angel of death taking the first born,
we avoid the death of the spiritual death of being
eternally separated from God, because we don't want to die
or go into eternity without the saving blood of Jesus Christ.
So let's look at this account ex. Chapter twelve, starting
(05:01):
in verse one, and the Lord spake unto Moses and
Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying this month shall
be unto you the beginning of months. It shall be
the first month of the year. To you speak ye
unto all the congregation of Israel, saying in the tenth
day of this month, they shall take to them every
man a lamb according to the house of their fathers,
(05:24):
a lamb for a house, And if the household be
too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor
next to his house take it according to the number
of souls.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Every man, according to his eating, shall make account for
the lamb.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
So this was required. The blood of an animal is
going to be required. And even if you did not
have an animal or could not afford, you could share.
And isn't that the way the Church does today? We
share the Gospel with others and invite people to come
into the church and come into the blood of our lamb,
Jesus Christ, blood of Jesus Christ, that perfect sacrifice that
(06:03):
was made for us, the lamb of God.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Verse five. Your lamb shall be without blemish.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
A male of the first year, he shall make it
out of the sheep or from the goats. Once again,
Jesus Christ was also without blemish. He was perfect, the
son of God sent unto mankind today to die for
our sins. Verse six, you shall keep it until the
fourteenth day of the same month of the whole assembly
of their congregation shall kill it in the evening, and
(06:32):
they shall take of the blood and strike it on
the two side posts on the upper door post of
the houses, wherein they.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Shall eat it. Now here's another comparison.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
After the animal was killed, the blood listen to this had.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
To be applied to the door.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
The instructions had to be followed exactly. Not only you
could just kill any animal. It had to be a
sheep or a goat. It could be shared with the neighbor,
but it had to be alide to the door. It
had to be on the doorpost so that the angel
would see it. And isn't that the same way today
we come in contact with the blood of Christ. We
(07:10):
apply the blood of Christ when we go into baptism,
that his blood will cover.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Us for remission of sins.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And He too is perfect and without blemish, that he
offered us that perfect blood sacrifice.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Verse seven of They shall take.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Of the blood, strike it on the two side posts
of the upper doorpost of the houses, wherein they shall
eat it. And they shall eat of the flesh that night,
roast it with fire and unleaved bread and with bitter herbs.
They shall eat it, eat not raw nor sodden, with
all of the water, but roast with fire, his head,
with his legs, and the pertinence thereof. And ye shall
(07:56):
let nothing of it remain until morning. And that which
remaineth of it until the morning, ye shall burn with fire.
And thus ye shall eat it with your loins girded,
your shoes on your feet, your staff in your hand,
and ye shall eat it in haste, for it is
the Lord's passover. Now you notice here it says to
eat it in haste. And isn't that the same with
(08:19):
baptism today, that we are not to tarry. We are
not to wait until the next day or wait until
a more convenient time.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
We are to do it straightway.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Well, it is at Action twenty two Versus sixteen, when
Paul had seen the vision, and he was told that
he must go to the city and be told what
to do. And Ananias said, and now why terry us
arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins?
Speaker 2 (08:46):
So it was not a time for delay.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
In this same comparison here in Exodus twelve and verse eleven,
it had to be done not only according to God's commandments.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
But it had to be done immediately. Twelve.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this
night and will smite all the first born in the
land of Egypt, both man and beast, and against all
the gods of Egypt.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
I will execute judgment. I am the Lord.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
So these instructions had to be followed exactly. And this
is a perfect example of blood required by God in
order to overcome death. And of course we today and
the whole purposes of this lesson is to show that,
in comparison, we must access and come in contact with
(09:36):
the blood of Jesus Christ today. And it is so
important that we can also avoid death, but not physical death,
but spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. The
blood of Christ. Saved by the blood Romans five and
verse eight. But God commendeth his love towards us, that
(09:57):
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us much
more than now. Being justified by His blood, you shall
be saved from the wrath through him. We are saved
by the blood of Christ. Ephasis one and verse six,
to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein
(10:18):
he hath made us accepted in the beloved, in whom
we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins
according to the riches of His grace.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Saved by the blood.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
The question in the world today of who will be
saved has been in every generation.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Throughout the ages.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Some people think that everyone that has ever lived will
be saved by God. Others believe that the majority of
the people in the world, regardless.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Of what they do or how they live, will be saved.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Probably the biggest percentage of people in the world today
believe that those who are morally good and are good
people and the sight of society standards, don't break the laws,
help their neighbors and are good, maybe have a lot
of Facebook friends good You know how many times in
(11:21):
funerals today will people say, well that he was a
good person and he always helped people.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
You always hear stories of.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Those people that made a difference and they were well
liked and they truly love people, and these were good people.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
But is that going to save them?
Speaker 3 (11:39):
So the majority of the people, according to society will
say that person is saved, and probably the biggest percentage
of people believe that if they believe that Jesus Christ
is the Son of God. Maybe tell a few people
about it, then they're going to be saved.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
But what does the Bible say on salvation. Jesus did
not say everyone would be saved. He said few would
be saved. And you know, I'm I'm in.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
My late fifties now, and when I was young, I
always thought, well, just everybody's going to church and everybody's
going to be saved. But the older you get, you
realize how few that is. When I travel around to
the different churches and you try to tell people what
the Bible says. And the sad thing is, the majority
of the people today they're just not interested.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
They rather just foll follow what.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
They hear on TV or what these liberal preachers say.
That you know, you just live that morally good life
and you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Of God, you'll be saved.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
And you know, you listen to what these preachers say
at all these funerals, you know, and they're making money
from the family, and they don't want to upset the
family and the widow that's sitting in the front row,
so they're going to say this was a good person.
They are going to he or they're going to go
to heaven. But does that what the Bible says? What
did Jesus say Matthew seven and verse thirteen, He said,
(13:02):
few Matthew seven and verse thirteen. Inter Yet the straight gate,
for why it is the gate, and broad is the
way that leadeth to destruction. And many there be which
go in thereat, because straight is the gate, and narrow
is the way which leadeth unto life.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
And few there be that fi find it.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
You know, if you've been watching the news, and I
always like technology, I love military, and I've always watched
the world news, and just recently there was a special
type of aircraft.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
James Gilman probably knows what it is, and do they.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
It's the name of a bird osprey or something, but
it actually has wings that can actually turn and it
can actually.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Take off vertically.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
And one of them just crashed maybe a few months ago,
and I think there were six six people or so
six soldiers.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
That died in this aircraft.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
And now the news just came out that the pilot
of this aircraft had a warning not one time, but
six different times that the clutch assembly and this airplane
was failing and he needed to land that aircraft right away,
but he chose to fulfill his orders, and he didn't
(14:23):
want to upset the commander that he had not fulfilled
his orders. So he risked the life of everyone on
that aircraft because the clutch was felling in this military aircraft.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
That everyone died. And you know what I was thinking today.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
I live in an older neighborhood there in Newark, and
a lot of the people might be retired. But on
Sunday mornings out and there's a lot of homes in
my neighborhood. I only know of one family that is
going to religious assembly today. The rest of every house
on this read I live on living on Sunday mornings,
(15:03):
they're all sleeping in.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
It's just another day to them. Isn't that sad?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Even though the Bible warns all of them about their
soul is at stake, And of course the Bible says
to bring up your children the nurture and the admonition
of the Lord. And boy, I sure was blessed to
have parents that not only woke me up on Sunday morning,
but they took me to a church that had all
the truth. So once again, few people will obey Jesus
(15:32):
clearly tells us that the majority of people who live
on earth will be lost. He said, few would find
the way that leads to eternal life.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Isn't that sad?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Even though the Bible is the most published book and
probably always will be. It's on our phones, it's on
our tablets, it's on our computers. And all people need
to do is to open up to see where. Jesus said,
he that believeth in his baptized shall be saved. Who
will be saved? Who will be lost? The Bible clearly
(16:04):
tells us, first of all, beloved. Sin separates us from God.
In the world today, one of the biggest deceptions that
the devil gives is that sin is something that everybody
wants to commit.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
It's exciting.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Everywhere you look, there's more and more types of sin.
And fulfill every lust that you have, and you only
live once. That's the way of the world Romans three
and verse twenty three. For all of sin and comes
short of the glory of God Romans six and verse
twenty three. Listen to this those that want to commit sin.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of
(16:44):
God is eternal.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Who wants to die, who wants to be eternally separated
from God, go ahead and indulge in all of these sins,
the lust of the flesh, the lust of.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
The eyes, and the pride of life.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
And if this is not repented of in one's life,
if one does not come to Christ and come in
contact with the blood of Christ, they will be eternally
separated from God. And there's only two places that we
can go. There is no purgatory, there's no second chances.
There is eternal heaven or eternal damnation, eternal hell, separated
(17:23):
from God. Once again, Romans three and verse twenty three.
For all have sin and come short of the glory
of God. The Bible teaches us that no one who
is separated from God in their sins will be saved. Also,
every person on the face of earth has sin. Sin
(17:46):
is disobeying God's commandments, not coming to Christ, not obeying
the Gospel. In one word, sin is rebellion. It's knowing
that we need to obey God and do his will,
but rebellion against God. How many people in our life
today that are around us that know we're Christians, whether
(18:07):
it's friends or co workers, neighbors, or even family.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
They know what the Bible says, but they choose not to.
This is rebellion against God.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Sin is disobeying God and not doing his will in
our life. Sin is saying, I know what God's will
and commandments are, but I'm going to do things my
way instead. My life is more important.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Than obeying God's commandments.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
You know, the biggest difference between a Christian and those
that just obey are those that believe and that our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that, of course is obedience.
We must obey not just the commandments that we want to,
but every commandment that God has given us through our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Matthew twelve and verse fifty four.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Use whoever shall do the will of my Father, which
is in heaven, the same as my brother, sister and
mother John fourteen of verse twenty one. He that hath
my commandments and keepeth them, he is that loveth me,
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I will love him and manifest myself to him. Obey.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
We must obey what the Bible says. Solomon said in
Ecclesiastics twelve and verse thirteen.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
What is the meaning of life?
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Is it finding every new type of sin?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Is it wickedness?
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Is it fulfilling every single dream that we have? In
following whatever the world's social norm is, No, Solomon said
Ecclesiastics twelve.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
And verse thirteen.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear
God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Duty of man.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Continuing on sin is disobeying God and not doing his will,
doing things my way instead of doing what God would
have me to do. I want to lose friends, I
wouldn't want to be less popular.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
I'm going to go with whatever the.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Social norm is, regardless of what the Bible says. Isn't
that something when Jesus said, broad is the way, and
why it is the way that lead it to destruction,
and narrow is the way, and.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Few there be that find it.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
For that straight and narrow way the pathway of Christianity.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
People say I'm going to.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Rebel against God and do things my way instead of
God's will.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
God allows all of his creation.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
The ability to make our own choices and decisions.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
But every decision.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
We make comes at a price, and that price the
consequences is judgment. Did you know that judgment is coming
to every soul on earth? People that choose to stay
home today and not come to worship God in spirit
inner truth, they act like they don't have a responsibility.
(21:03):
But if they have the same commandment we all do
to come together on the first day of the week
and break bread and remember Christ, and of course to
worship Him and spare it in the truth. Second country
is five and verse ten. For we all must appear
before the judgment Sedar Christ. Everyone may receive the things
done in his body according to what he had done,
(21:24):
whether it is good or bad. Did you know we
reap what we sow. June and James are planting their garden,
and the tomatoes are a little bit late this summer, but.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Boy, they have some good vegetables.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
And if you plant corn, you get corn. If you
plant tomatoes, you get tomatoes. You don't plant corn and
get tomatoes. Did you know what we sow is what
we will reap spiritually in this life.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Galatians six and verse seven. Be not deceived. God is
not mocked.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that saw it to his flesh, show of
the flesh us reap corruption.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
But he that saw it.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
To the spirit shall of this spirit reap ever lasting life.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Judgment is coming to us. All.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
God allows us to choose not to be holy like him,
but he also warns us for the consequences of not
being holy Isaiah fifty.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Nine and verse two.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid his face from you that
he will not hear. So therefore we reap what we sow.
You've heard it said in a physical realm.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
People say, well.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
I just had a spiritual experience. No, we are spiritual
beings that have a material experience in this life, and
our spirit, our soul, will go on for eternity. It
is not God's fault that we are lost.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
It is our own fault. Here's a question. I just
got this the other day.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
There was actually a sister in the church asked me.
She said, why did God create evil? Well, God did
not create evil. He created us to have our own decisions,
and we will either decide to obey God and become
a Christian, or we can decide to be evil and
to rebel against God and not to obey God's God.
(23:24):
There is the consequences for not obeying God.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
If we allow sin to.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Separate us from God throughout our life and never to
repent of this situation, we will be eternally.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Separated from God.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
So this is the first case of those that will
never be saved, and that is.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
People choose sin over eternal life.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Whose mistake will it be when people are in judgment?
The Bible says every needs shall bow to Christ, every
tongue shall confess Christ.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Who you want to blame?
Speaker 3 (23:57):
If we never obey the gospel of our Lord WANs Savior,
Jesus Christ, we can only blame ourselves. This is the
spiritual death and it will never end if we choose
never to repent of sin.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
It's eternal Romans six and verse twenty three.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift
of God is eternal life.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
We will be spiritually dead for eternity if we don't
do something about the sin in our life.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Now.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Those who choose to keep sin live in sin for
their entire lives will never be saved, no matter how
much they believe in Jesus Christ. Next, no one who
fails to know Jesus.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Christ will be saved.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Second Thessalonians one, verses eight through nine, the Lord Jesus
shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels and
flaming fire, taking vengeance of them that know not God
and obey not the Gospel of our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from
the the presence of the Lord, from the glory of
his power, the lost unsaved people.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
That know not God and obey not the Gospel.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
In order to know God, of course, we must come
to know Jesus.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
In the Gospel John one and.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Verse eighteen, no man has seen God at any time,
the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of
the Father, he hath declared him. Therefore, Jesus has declared
and revealed who God is to us today. He has
not only revealed God, but he has revealed God's will
and his word. Jesus said in John fourteen and verse
(25:37):
six six, I am the Way, the Truth, and the life.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
No man come unto the Father, but by me.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
There's no way to get to God the Father except
through Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
There is no way to be faithful.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
And obedient without Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
This means that no.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
One will be able to enter heaven except those who
believe and obey Jesus Christ and become faithful members of
the Lord's Church, his Kingdom, the Church of Christ.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Those who never know Jesus and never obey the Gospel
will be lost eternally.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
And eternally means forever and ever and ever and ever
it will never end. Those who believe in Jesus Christ
and God that never obey the Gospel will be lost forever.
You mean, there's a verse in the Bible that says
I need to obey and not just believe. What about
Hebrews five and verse nine, and be made perfect? He
(26:35):
became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that
obey him Hebrews five and verse nine. It doesn't say
on all those that believe. It says he's the author
of eternal salvation unto all those that believe him. Therefore,
Jesus saves those who give allegiance and their life and
(27:01):
obedience to Christ. They die to self, but live for Jesus. Therefore,
we must learn what the gospel is and obey it.
Galatians one, verses eight through nine.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
But though we or an.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Angel from heaven offer any other gospel unto you than
which we have are preached unto you, let him be
a curse.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
We must obey the gospel plan of salvation. Listen to this.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Many people in the world today believe in the sinner's prayer.
A lot of denominations, a lot of the world's organizations.
I was saved when I stood in front of the
congregation and I prayed through. Where is that in the
Bible that somebody prayed through? To show me one circumstance
(27:50):
that somebody was saved by praying through. Many people in
the world today believe in the sinner's prayer. They believe
the Holy Spirit comes into one's heart and they came
into contact with the blood of Christ when they prayed.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Where's that in the Bible?
Speaker 3 (28:09):
If this is true, then Jesus shed his blood in vain.
That is a bloodless salvation. When somebody prays through or
believes or I had a friend, Harry, that was saved
in a cornfild.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
He said, didn't even go to a church. He was
saved in a cornfild.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
I had another friend, Trevor that lived there when I
lived in a condo there. Knew her that he was
saved when he was taken out the trash.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
He had a vision.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
You know what a vision is is a guest. And
if God gave you a vision, then that makes him
a respector of persons. And you know what God is
not a respector of persons.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
If he gave me a vision, why didn't he give
Bobby Kerr vision?
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Or why didn't he give James Mills? You know, he's
the star of our podcast. If anybody's going to have
a vision, it's going to be James Mills because he's
our number one guy on our podcast, bless his heart.
If anybody has a vision, it's going to be James Mills.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Then why didn't I get a vision? But you will
hear it every day.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
And I actually talked to a woman there last week
that said she had a vision and a feeling that
would make God a respect her persons.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Listen to this. Hebrews nine and verse twenty two.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Says that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission,
So you're not saved unless you come into contact with
that blood.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Just as we read of on the Passover.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
In Exous chapter twelve, we are saved by the blood
of Christ. So where is the connection of the sinner
and the saving blood of Jesus. False teacher says, God
sends his Holy Spirit into the sinner's heart when they pray,
and they pass from death unto life. The sinner may
believe this and become very.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Happy, and they live a life believing the lies of
praying through. But by praying through, how do you come
in contact with the blood of Christ?
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Where does this occur?
Speaker 3 (30:13):
How do we come into the contact with the blood
of Christ?
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Acts two and verse thirty eight.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
We're going to be baptized everyone in you in the
name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and
you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We're
going to answer it right now. Listen to this Romans six, verses.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
Three through four. We're probably going to read it three times.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Roman six verses three through four. Know ye not that
so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ, were
baptized into his death. Did Jesus shed blood in life?
He shed blood in death. That's where he shed his blood.
(30:56):
So when we are baptized into Christ.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Listen to this. We're baptized into his death.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
So therefore, at his death is where he shed blood,
and that's where we come into contact with.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
His blood. We are now a new creature.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Paul says in Romans six, verses three.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Through four, that we are baptized into the death of
Jesus Christ. My Baptist
