But his delight is in the law of the Lord.
And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
He should be like a tree playing a by the
river of water. They bring him forth. Fruit is fruit
in his season. His leg also shall not wither. Whatsoever
he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but

(04:53):
like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the
ungod they shall not stand in the judgment nord centers
and the congregation of the.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Righteous, for the Lord north the way of the righteous.

Speaker 7 (05:05):
But the way of the ungodly shall purpose. Forgive our

What I can I can do for myself?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
How am I improve my life? How a might be
a better life.

Speaker 8 (05:28):
To all over around better example.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
How am I study God's word more? How am I
encourage more to obey the gospel? How I might be
an example to them and an encouragement to them, And
how A might.

Speaker 7 (05:55):
Be a better surdress to the God of Heaven and
those great sacris fast that he made for men, allowing
his son to die on the cross for my sins.
We stress and use this passage of scripture most every
time that we bring a lesson.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
And Second Timothy two fifteen.

Speaker 8 (06:16):
Study to show thyself approved of the God, a workman
that needed not to be ashamed.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Rightly dividing the word of truth.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
It's our responsibility, my responsibility to study, Your responsibility to study.
I have a responsibility is second Timothy, chapter four, and
the verse one says, and I am charged, and every
other man has stands in the pulpit or brains a lesson,
I have a solemn charge. As Paul give to young

(06:52):
evangelist tempt, he said, I charged thee. Therefore before God
and the Lord Jesus Christ, who sub jumped the cooking
dead at his appearing in his kingdom priests, the word
be in season and out of seas reproved rebuke to
all along suffering in doctrine, for the time will come
when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will

(07:12):
heap to themselves teachers having engine years, and they'll turn
away there is from the truth, and they'll be they'll
turn be turned unto favors.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
And I believe that we're living in that time.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
We're living in a time when people have turned away
their ears from the truth, and they have been turned
unto faithor Paul Titus, writing in Titus Chapter two, the
beginning of the verse one, he said, but speak thou
the things which become sounds, doctor, that the aged men
be sober, great temperate, sound, and faith, in charity and patience.

(07:47):
That the age of women like that they be in
behavior has becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given too
much wine.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
That they may teach the young women.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
To teach the young women to be sober, and to
love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet,
chest keepers at home, good obedience to their own husting,
that the word of God be not blesspheing young men
like wise, exhort to be sober minded in that in

(08:18):
all things, showing thyself a pann of good worth in doctrine,
showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speaks that cannot be condemned,
that he that is not the count part may be ashamed, having.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
No evil thing to say of you.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
It sorts serviles to be obedient to.

Speaker 7 (08:38):
Their own masters and to please them will in all things.

Speaker 9 (08:42):
Not answering again a prolonging, not showing, but showing all
good fidelity that they meet, knowing the doctrine of God,
our Savior, and all things for the.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Grace of God that bring us suvation. Hath appeared into
all men, teaching us.

Speaker 7 (08:58):
That, denying of goodness and the world loves, we should
live soberly righteous than God in this present word, looking
for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of the Great
God and our savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for
us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and
purified himself with peculiar people's jealous of good words. These

(09:21):
things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority, that
no man despise. Thee Titus here tells us all our
responsibility to ourself and to those around them. Paul have
intemoted to study it to show thyself for prood into God.
Have told you many times, I can't.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
Study for you and you can't study for me.

Speaker 7 (09:45):
But we all need to be studying this book more
and more now than ever before. And we studied and
have studied and studied this morning, and in the Bible
study lessons about belief, you know, And I believe it's job.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
John chapter eight.

Speaker 7 (10:02):
I was looking at that and we didn't get to that,
and I didn't.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Mention that word the Lazarus. Jesus went to raise Lazarus
from the dead, and John olevit it is that, you know.

Speaker 10 (10:22):
Martha said, she knows it that her brother would rise
in the resurrection, and Jesus said, I am the resurrection
of the life.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
You see.

Speaker 7 (10:34):
We need to realize that he is the great Eye,
and we need to understand that all these miracles that.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
He did, we didn't see him. But we have to
believe that they happened.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
And we can't believe that they happened, because when we
study God's where can we read about it? This is
the only book, the only book that was ever written
or ever will be written, that every word of it
is truth, every precept of it is truth.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
And you tell me another book, another paper that's in.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
The world today that that we can say that about
this is true, and this is what's going to judge
us in the last days. This is the most important
thing that we will ever pay attention to and want
to stress paying attention. You know, has a lot said
in our world today about the disease of attention deficit disorder, you.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Know, and alder you get, you know, it's harder to
maybe pay attention.

Speaker 7 (11:49):
And I know brother Ben works a lot of times,
runs long runs on Saturday night and they don't get
home till the light And I know a lot of
the lot of older us, older ones and the congregation
have trouble to staying awake, you know that because maybe
we're on medicine or different things.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
But attention.

Speaker 8 (12:13):
You see, I'm responsible for preaching the word this morning.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
You're responsible to seeing to it that I do.

Speaker 7 (12:20):
And in a lot of places, people they don't care
what to hear as long as they go through the
motions of coming and singing and listening or pretending to
listen and protecting the body of other Christ and lay
by the store and get them go home. They gone,
and they think that's all there is too. Well, if

(12:42):
you're just going through the motion and this don't mean
nothing to you, then you better think again, because this
is the Lord's day. This is the Lord that he's
the day that the Lord set aside for us to
worship him and to worship him in spirit and in truth.
We're here for one another. And when we sing, we

(13:04):
sing together.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
We sing for one another, and we sing to the
God of Heaven. And when we pray, we pray together.

Speaker 7 (13:13):
And when brother Johnson leads us in prayer, or whoever
it might be, when we assemble.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
We need to follow along with that prayer.

Speaker 7 (13:23):
And we need to ask the Lord as the congregation
to answer those prayers and the thanking for the things that.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
He blessed us.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
When that's mine and your responsibility, and how can I
do that better? And whenever we say amen, do we
really understand what.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
We're saying amen to? Or it was going through the motion,
and yeah, I hear Brother Johnson the word of prayer.
That's okay.

Speaker 8 (13:49):
Everything he said amen, And ninety percent time you don't
know half.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
What he said. You know, we learn just like.

Speaker 8 (14:00):
Doing and Brother Devien and the Bible state lessons.

Speaker 7 (14:02):
But the Jordan's preaching, where the bedness, singing and leading
the prayer for the glennen and his leading the prayer.
These things are are practice, and we put them into practice,
not only here, but at home and wherever we are.
And if we do that, we can we can improve

(14:23):
our life. We can improve the lives of those around us.
We can show people that we're sincere about going to
Heaven from me when we put passes scripture, let your
rutshine the poor men, that they may see your good
works and glify your father, which is Heaven.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
It's not a show. This is something that is a responsibility.

Speaker 7 (14:46):
It's a commandment that we be the example of the believer,
that we're walking in the footsteps of Jesus, that we
truly believe that he is the son of God, that
we truly believe that he worked all of these mirrors,
and that he suffered that awful death under cross of

(15:07):
Calvary for your sins and my sins and the sins
of the whole world. James Texas and James Chapter one.
That we're to keep ourselves unspotted.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
From the word.

Speaker 7 (15:21):
You know, if we'll do that, we'll be better service
than the God of Heaven. We have that muchponsibility too.
You know we're in the world, but we're not out
of the world. In James Chapter one and beginning of
verse twenty or verse nineteen, this.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Is work for my beloved brethren.

Speaker 8 (15:44):
They doesn't the man be swift to hear and slow
to speak.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
And slow to rating? Who the rapping man work or
not the righteousness of God work?

Speaker 7 (15:53):
For leaf part all felt and super and odymus and
received with Make this then crafted word.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Which is able to say.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
Your soul be e doers of the word, and not
hearers only deceiving your own self. For any man be
a hero of the world, and not adure he is
living him man beholding his natural fashion of glass, for
even holds himself and goes his way and straightway. Forgive
us what man or man he was, but who's so
infest into the perfect law of liver ki And continue

(16:22):
thirty in he being not a forgetful here, but anuer
of the work.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
This man shall be blessed in his deeds.

Speaker 7 (16:28):
If any man among you seem to be religious and bright,
if not his tongue, but deceive it's his own heart.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
This man's religion is a thing, pure religion.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
And not the foul before God and the Father. Is
this to visit the falling.

Speaker 7 (16:42):
Witness and there are flinching, and to keep himself out
of spotted from the world.

Speaker 8 (16:47):
You see understanding our surroundings.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
We're in the world, We're not of the world. We
separated ourselves from it.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
We're at being examples to to the people all around us.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
That's that's something that we can do better. That's something
that we can do more of, you know, preaching God's work.

Speaker 7 (17:12):
We're living in a time now that he hardly ever
hear of a gospel meeting and was talking about round
music last night, and I understand a lot of it.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
You know, maybe we haven't.

Speaker 7 (17:24):
Trained the younger generation in a way that they should
be trained, giving them these opportunities to preach the gospel.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Like we was given when we started.

Speaker 8 (17:35):
But you know, he asked me, he said, what about
you always a congregation?

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Have you got very many young people?

Speaker 11 (17:42):
Well, I've told him, you know, me, Donnie, Charlie, Monnie
and Bug Cave and Barbara, all of us that you know,
we're getting up in years.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
But he said, have you got any young I said, well,
we've got Joe and Dylan.

Speaker 7 (18:02):
We got Glenna and Nathan and uh Danny, Danny's one
of the older one.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
But Thomas brother uh junior brother Ben, you know, and
and uh we we we've got prospects, you know.

Speaker 12 (18:17):
And we we those that are working and and and
interested in working in the church. I can remember a
time when we were.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Over one hundred. And I can remember a time when you.

Speaker 8 (18:32):
Went to Cannisburg and the house was full and there
was a lot of young people.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
And and maybe we want the example that we ought
to be. Maybe they wasn't the example that they ought
to be.

Speaker 7 (18:45):
And why this younger generation has not hasn't the fear
of of of the after life where they're going to
be an any for an eternity. They don't think about that.
And Brother Ron said last night, he said, you know,

(19:07):
the other generations have been taught that there is no God.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
And that's about the truth.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
You know.

Speaker 8 (19:13):
I can remember even when we were going to school.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
You know, they didn't believe that.

Speaker 7 (19:20):
In the creation that God created the heavens and the earth,
God created man from the dust of the earth and.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Breathing his nose for the breath of life.

Speaker 8 (19:30):
God but men to sleep and took a rib from
the side and.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Made woman, and they don't believe that. They believe in evolution, that.

Speaker 7 (19:39):
We come from monkeys and all all the other theories
that's and men will continue, and the Bible even says
that man will continue to try to figure everything out
and he will never be able to why because he's
blind when it comes to this book, when when it's

(19:59):
so simple, Well, it just can't be that a way.
And look at all the different religious organizations that are
out there. They're saying there's salvation in him and his
deal and said in their Bible said, listen this morning,
you go back and ask four and verse twelve he says,
neither is there salvation in the other, for there no
other name other having given among men?

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Where about what he must be said?

Speaker 8 (20:22):
Why are people so so confused?

Speaker 13 (20:26):
Well, you know, confusion begets confusion. You take people that
don't want to know, You take people.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
That want to be told something other than what this
book says. It's a simple book, James said.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
He that looked at into the perfect love of liberty
and continue they're in perfect love of liberty, and continue
they're in. Then there's a condition he being not a
fordictable here, but a doer of the word, this man
shall be blessed.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
In his deeds. You know, when we look into it
and we see what it says.

Speaker 7 (21:08):
If we do it, then we'll be blessed in our deeds.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
But if wish well, I I said that, but I
don't believe I have to do it that way.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
You don't. I agree with that, you don't. We don't
have to do it that way. But if you want
to go to heaven, you do it. If you'll get
to heaven, we're going to do it quiet.

Speaker 14 (21:30):
Because that little word perfect, he says, who's on look
at the perfect Nothing, no better, nothing can compare to this,
the perfect law of liberty.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
And each one of us have the privilege.

Speaker 15 (21:47):
We have the privilege of opening the pages of this
anytime we want to. And I'm afraid that we don't
want to enough.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Me and couldn't.

Speaker 8 (22:03):
I'm afraid we don't study. And we're not militia as.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
We ought could be. But we need to be, and
we better be understanding.

Speaker 7 (22:16):
In Hebrews chapter six and verse one, he says, let
us go on to perfection, not perfect.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
We all make mistakes, but we have the.

Speaker 8 (22:24):
Perfect law of liberty, and we're striving for profession.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
You know, Jesus was perfect. There was no sin in it,
neither God found in his mouth.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
And he walked here among men, and he's seen all
manners of evil, and how evil men can be, And
how I'm angry mob could.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Take one man and crucify.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
That had done nothing, that had raised the dead, that
made the blind to see, that death, to hear in
the darn, to speak the lame.

Speaker 8 (23:02):
To walk, raise the dead, and they crucified him.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
They crucified him.

Speaker 7 (23:10):
But we need to all remember one thing. The Bible says,
vengeance is mine saith the Lord.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I will repay it.

Speaker 7 (23:20):
He give all of us opportunity as long as we live,
as long as we are in our right mind.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
To study this book.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Obey become a servants of God, obeying from the heart
form of doctrine that's been delivered us, the plan of salvation,
and being baptized into Christ. And then in adding the
Christian vertures to her life, faith to her faith, virtue,
virgin and allie and all his temperate, temperate patience, patience, godness, godness,

(23:48):
brother kindness, brother.

Speaker 8 (23:49):
Kindness, charity, love, love for one another.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
You know, we don't love one another.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
Then it shows us if we love one another, it
shows we care for one another, we are interested in
one another, and we help one another. Probably chapter four
and verse twenty three, the Bible says, out.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Of the heart are the issues of life up here,
what we put between our ears.

Speaker 7 (24:26):
Everybody talks about this old blood pump. You know, if
this don't pump pump down here, this up here don't
work and don't work long.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
But if this up here don't work, this down here
don't work very long either. It all goes together.

Speaker 8 (24:42):
And what we put between our ears comes out right here.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
And if we don't put the right stuff up here,
the right stuff don't come out down here.

Speaker 8 (24:53):
And I don't believe that in one of.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
Us, and have them in their lifetimes in subject to
examples of this.

Speaker 8 (25:03):
I know man one tim that lived pretty close to
where me and Kate did, and.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Love his heart. I went a lot of times. Patty
Garden had.

Speaker 7 (25:18):
A sweet stold old lady and his kin to us,
and and when you couldn't stay, you could stand around and.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Talk to him long, because if you didn't you want
to go to the house and take a bath. He
just evil, even dirty words.

Speaker 8 (25:34):
One right after another, uh, another member of the family.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
You know they're gone now that that bless his heart.
He was never satisfied. There's always something wrong with with
with anything and everything that you talk to him about.
You know, we're none perfect. The Lord will be a
lot better than what what we We sometimes act like

(26:01):
we are and need to be a lot better than
what we out of the heart of here are the
issues of life. Hebrews Chapter four, verse twelve talks about
the power of this book. Hebrews, chapter four, verse twelve.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
The word of God. It's quit, it's character. It's sharper
than any.

Speaker 7 (26:26):
Two edges sword divide even to dividing a sound or soul.

Speaker 8 (26:30):
And spirit, and of joint and mar and is the
sleirner of.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
The thoughts and the intents of the heart.

Speaker 8 (26:40):
Neither is there any creature that does not manifest to
his sight. But all things are naked and open to
the eyes of Him.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
With whom we have to do. You know, he said,
and we say all the time.

Speaker 7 (26:56):
You know, I may do things that you don't see,
I may say things that you don't hear it. But
God sees everything I do and everything I say.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
And he's the judge and the wonders.

Speaker 8 (27:14):
Will be a Christian.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
When we ask God to forgive us of those things
that we say it do.

Speaker 8 (27:25):
You know, we all make mistakes, but we are to improve.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
We already get better. May God help us to do that.
The word of God is quick and his pererful.

Speaker 8 (27:37):
It's the most powerful thing that was his, more powerful
than the atomic bomb.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
This is powerful.

Speaker 7 (27:45):
He'll save the souls of every human being on the
face of this earth. That's how it's desire. You know,
they all talk about safety and cars and protecting our
nation and protecting the world.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
This right here would would do away with the atomic bomb.

Speaker 7 (28:10):
This why right here, brother Johnson, as you prayed in
your prayer this morning, this right here would bring peace
to the whole world. It's powerful enough to do that
if men would let it.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
But men have decided that they know more than God,
and they're going to have their way.

Speaker 8 (28:30):
And you know, it all falls back to when uh
that angry.

Speaker 7 (28:35):
Mob was was uh uh saying crucify him, crucify him.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
Let him bluff be on our head and on our
children forever.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
And they're getting their wish. They're getting their wish.

Speaker 8 (28:48):
There they didn't want, they asked for.

Speaker 7 (28:52):
And they just they won't accept him, then, they won't
accept him now, and they won't accept him in the
day of judgment.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
We ought not to be that way.

Speaker 7 (29:04):
We need to open this book and read it, study
and apply the teachings of it to our lives.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Sons one nineteen.

Speaker 7 (29:15):
And one eleven says, Thy words that have I hid
in my heart that I might not sin against thee
Proverbs one nineteen and verses one O four, one O five.
He says, through thy precepts I get understanding. Therefore I
hate every false way.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Thy word is. However, my feet and alive my pathway.
That's what we need to need to be done. That's
why it needs to do. And James four and verse eleven.

Speaker 6 (29:49):
