Speaker 2 (04:42):

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Great thing. Same bas.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
But then also on the flip side of that, that's
all somewhat good news, I guess the lottery not so much.
But the other flip side of that, there was a
story to come out this week that a family that
had had twin babies tried to sell them to their

(05:51):
family members for five thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And you know, they don't have a whole lot to
do with my lesson. Just thinking about value, I was
setting back. I had already made the.

Speaker 6 (06:07):
Lesson, and God to thinking about those stories this week
and the value.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Of our soul.

Speaker 6 (06:15):
The value of the soul is what our lessons really
about this morning. But thinking about what the world holds
his value. They value a person at a certain amount.
But then you think about once we're dead and gone
from this world. They used to say that we was
worth about a dollar and seventy cents altogether. The water

(06:36):
and the dirt that was within our bodies, that's all
that we was really worth. That's probably inflated a whole
lot over the years.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
It's probably we're probably worth a little bit more than
that now. But what is the value of soul?

Speaker 6 (06:51):
If you look at Matthew Chapter sixteen and verse twenty four,
through twenty six.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It says, then, said Jesus unto his disciples.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
If any man will come after me, let him deny
himself and take up his cross and follow me. For
whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever
will lose.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
His life for my sake shall find it.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
For what is a man profited if he shall gain
the whole world and lose his own song? Or what
shall a man give in exchange for his song? And
we talk about that, you know, a lot in our lessons.
In our lessons from time to time we.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Talk about that A lot is what is what does
it profit us? If we gain the whole world?

Speaker 6 (07:42):
If I had that one point two trillion dollars to
myself and missed heaven, what good?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
But it didn't You I heard somebody saved.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
Not too long ago. They was talking about the money
that somebody had said they might as well dispended because
they couldn't stuff it in the poffin with it.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
And that's about the truth.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
If you've got something, you better use it or do
whatever you want to, But then you better think about
your soul.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
What is the value of our soul?

Speaker 6 (08:18):
In Matthew Chapter ten, and verse twenty seven and twenty eight.
It says, what I tell you in darkness, that speak
ye in light, and what ye hear in the ear
that preach ye upon housetops. And fear not them which
kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul,
But rather fair him that is able to destroy both

(08:40):
soul and body and hell. We need to fear God
and do his commandments. He's the one we need to
be fearing. You know, we sung that song this morning.
One ad then sings my soul? Does our soul truly sing?
Or are we worried about where we're going to be
in after a while? Worry about where we may be

(09:01):
in after a while? Why is our soul so valuable?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Well? It comes from God.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
In Ecclesiastes, chapter twelve and verse five through seven, it says,
also when they shall be afraid of that which is.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
High, and fear shall be in the way, and on
the train shall.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
Flourish, and the grasshoppers shall be a burden, and desires
shall fail, because man go to his long home and
the mourners go about the streets, Or after the silvil
cord is loosed and the golden bowl be broken, or
the picture be broken at the fountain, or the will

(09:45):
broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to
the earth as it was, but the spirit shall return
unto God who gave it.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Spiritch won't go back to God who gave it.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
And in the after a while, But then we're going
to be judged, friends, and after a while from all
the deeds that we've done in this body.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
It comes from God, and we are God's offspring. In Acts,
chapter seventeen and verse twenty eight through thirty.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
One, it says that they should seek the Lord, if
happily they might feel after him and find him, though
he be not far from every one of us, For
in him we live and move and have our being
as certain also of our own poet, your own poets
have said, for we are.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
His offspring. For as much then as we are the
offspring of God, we ought not to think of.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
The God has like is lack unto gold or silver
or stone, graven by art and men's devices. And the
times of this ignorance God winked at, but now commandeth
all men everywhere to repent, because He had the point
of to day in which he will judge the world
and righteousness by him, by that man whom he hath ordained,

(11:05):
whereof he hath given assurance on all men, in that
he hath raised him from the dead.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
You know, our own poets for were his offspring, his offspring.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
And we're not to think of it like it's gold
or silver or something graving by men. No, he's alive, friend,
he's recording the record above.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
And we're his offspring.

Speaker 6 (11:38):
We don't act like his offspring very often, but we
need to be thinking about the value of our soul
and how valuable that is that we're his offspring.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
We're in God's image in Genesis chapter.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
One and verse twenty six and twenty seven, and God said,
let us make man in our own image, our likeness,
and let us let them have dominion over the fish
of the sea, and over the fouls the air, and
over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over
every criven thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God

(12:15):
created man in his own image, and in the image
of God created in him male and female, created He them,
He created us.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
We don't have to wonder where we come from.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
You know, if you've been in school over the years,
they're all so worried about where we came from.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
We just evolved.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
We just banged into existence. Now, if you believe that,
you'll believe about anything. But I can read this in
the Bible.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I can read it. It's a written record.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
And you know they so much talk about the written
word that you can't deny the written word that some
people will say and down right for us to understand
that He created us. And the last part of that
verse he said he created male and female created he them.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
He didn't make he and he He made he and
she know these two of them, two different parties. That's
what it is to be.

Speaker 6 (13:25):
That's the value of our soul in being valuable. We're
made in his own image after him.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Well again, why are we so valuable?

Speaker 6 (13:35):
We have an eternal abone John chapter five and verse
twenty four through twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
It says, verily barely, I say to you, he that
heareth my word, and believe on him that sent me.

Speaker 6 (13:49):
Hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but
has passed from death unto life. Verily rarely, I say,
and to you the ara has come, And now is
when the dead shall hear the voice of the son
of God, and they shall they that here shall live.

(14:11):
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath
he given to the Son to have life in himself,
and hath given him authority to ascute judgment. Also because
he is the son of Man. Marvel not at this,
for the horis come in the witch, that all that

(14:32):
are in the graves shall hear his voice and shall
come forth they that have done good unto the resurrection
of life, and they that have done evil unto the
resurrection of damnation. He tells us exactly what's going to happen.
We're going to either have one or two things happen.
We're going to come forth from the grave, if we're

(14:53):
there to the resurrection of life or to the resurrection
of damn nation.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Now, just think which one you want to be. I
want to be of those that come to the resurrection
of life. And after a while, that's how I value
my soul.

Speaker 6 (15:10):
I want it to be in a position that it'll
come forth at that time that he calls it in
the way that he would have it.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
And also it.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
Leaves the body in death, her soul does Genesis, chapter
thirty five of verse seventeen through.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Nineteen and says, and it came to past, when she.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Was in hard labor, that the midwife said, unto her
fear not thou shalls have this son also. And it
came to pass as her soul was in departing, for
she died, that she called his name, be known him,
for his father.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Called him Benjamin. And Rachel died and was buried in
the way of Ephra, which is Bethlehem. And you know,
I hadn't really read this. I probably passed over it
in my studies.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
But it says she died, but her soul departed it
was doing some place. Are we worried about where our
souls are going?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Which way is headed in? What track is it on?
Then in Luke, chapter twenty three and verse forty five
through forty seven.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
It says, and the sun was darkened, and the veil
of the temple was rent in the midst And when
Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father,
into thy hands, I commend my spirit.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
And having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Now, when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying,
certainly this was a righteous man. You know, even our
Lord gone the cross he gave up the ghost, and
he died just the way that it was planned.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
In death. Our soul is going to leave this body.
Where do we want it to go?

Speaker 6 (17:08):
In Acts, Chapter two and verse thirty one and thirty two,
it says he seeing this before of the resurrection of Christ,
that his soul was not left in hell.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Neither his flesh did see corruption.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
Jesus hath God raised up whereof we are all witnesses.
They were all witnesses, The disciples were witnesses. But his
soul didn't see corruption. But he wasn't left in hell.
But we can sure be left there if we're not careful,
we can go there. God don't want to want us

(17:45):
to go there, but we're free moral agentsies like we
talked about this morning in our Bible study. It's up
to us to make the right decisions, to make the
right choice and know the value of what we have.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Time. We have two important things. We have a soul
and we have time.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
God's recording their time what we do with it, and
he can call that time short just any time, anytime
that he's ready, we can go. It doesn't matter. He
never give us a promise of tomorrow. But we have
that soul that we need to deliver upon them, and

(18:29):
then it lasts for eternity. In Luke, Chapter sixteen, Universe
nineteen through thirty one, I don't think I want to
read all this, but you can go there and you
can read. That's the story of the rich Man and latter,
and you know, it gives you a good depiction of

(18:51):
what it's going to be.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Like after dead. And Lazarus seen.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
The rich Man seeing lazareuth afar off, he wanted him
to come and cool his tongue because he was in torment.
He had none other things that he ought to have done.
He hadn't valued his soul enough to obey the things
that he needed to do. But Lazarus, on the other side,
he was not in torment. And it talks about the

(19:22):
great gulf, that there's a great gulf fixed betwixt them
and them and they could one couldn't go to the.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Other and the other couldn't go to the other side.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
But it also says they can see each other, at
least that's the way I depict it.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
They can see one another. But you know what, Lazius
wasn't worried about what the rich man was in, But
the rich man was real worried about where Lazarus was.
He wanted to be there, That's why he was so worried.
He wanted to be there.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
And then he said, please send somebody back to my fire.
I've got five brothers. Sit him back there and get
them to not do the things that I've done, so
they don't come to.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
This awful place. But he said, they have Moses and
the prophets. If they won't believe them, they won't believe.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
No one knows from the dead, and it's a fact
Jesus rose from the dead, and they still don't believe today.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
But it lasts for eternity. We don't spend eternity, as
some people will say.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
You know, in our song books from time to time
to come cross the song that says through eternity, our
spend eternity, and we mark that out and we put
in eternity we're going to be there forever and forevermore.
And you know, as the tree fallows, so shall it
be when this life is over. That's all there is

(20:51):
as far as this whole body. But our sons will
live on forever more last for eternity. And he talks
about that. In Matthew chapter twenty five and verse forty six,
it says, and these shall go away into everlasting punishment,
but the righteous into life eternal. And you think about

(21:12):
that story, you go back there and you read in
Matthew chapter twenty five. It starts with those that have
done well, and he tells them all the things that
they've done. They fed the country, and they visited the sick,
and they've done all those things.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
What did they do?

Speaker 6 (21:28):
They repeated it back to it, they've done all these things.
Inasmuch as I've done this to the least of you,
I've done it to you. But then it goes on
to talk to those same things to those that had
not done it. He said, in as much as you
have not done it unto the least of these, you

(21:51):
did it not into me. And they repeated it back
to him that they.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Hadn't done it.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
They confessed one of the things we'll talk about next
week in their Bobston. They confessed exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
What they'd done. That's what he says, we will do,
but we're going to live on. It lasts for eternity. Friends.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
In Revelations tenth twenty and verse twelve through fifteen, it says,
and I saw the dead, small and great stand before God,
and the books were open, and another book was open,
which is the Book of Life.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
And the dead were judged out of those things which
were written in the books according to their works. And
the sea gave up the dead which were in it.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
And Death and Hell delivered up the dead which were
in them, and they were judged every man according to
their works. Death and Hell were cast into the Lake
of Fire, which.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Is the second death.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
And whosoever was not found written in the Book of
Life was cast into the lake of fire. And what
does he say in another part of Merscrip, They'll be
weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
And that weeping and gnashing of teeth, what does it do?

Speaker 6 (23:07):
It lasts forever and forevermore. That's what eternity is about.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
He goes on and on and on. Some people might
say to Infinity, Yeah, as long as the time there was,
there is no time at that time. It just goes
on with them. And I don't want to be in
a place where I'm getting weeped and nashed on.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
I've done enough weeping here on this earth. I don't
want to weep no more. I want to be happy.
I don't know about you.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
I want to be happy.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
I'm happy today, but I want to be happy forever
and forevermore, in that place where there's rest and peace
and love forevermore. Well, the souls need saving. In Hebrews,
chapter ten and verse thirty eight and thirty.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Nine, it says now that just shall live by faith.
But if any man draw back my song shall have
no pleasure in him.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
But we are not out of them that draw back
into tradition, but of them that believe to the saving
of the song.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
We've talked about that, and Bible study this morning too.
We don't draw back. We look forward. I don't know
about you.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
I look forward to the coming together of the saints
and thinking about those that have gone over that we
get to be with forever forever.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
If we're so lucky to make it to that home
in heaven. And I say lucky, I mean blissed to
make it to that home and the after a while.

Speaker 6 (24:41):
In Jacks chapter one and verse twenty one through twenty two,
it says, wherefore lay apart all filthiness and super flurity
of naughtiness, and received with mentness, then drafted word.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Which is able to save your souls.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
But be ye doers of the word and not hearers,
only deceiving your own selves. Now, he says, receive with meetness,
being grafted word that's.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Able to save your soul. But then he goes on
to say, we have to be doers of it and
not hears.

Speaker 6 (25:17):
Only if we just hear the word and don't do
nothing with it, it's of no benefit to us whatsoever. However,
we say, we're talking about the plan of salvation and
Bible study, and there's those steps that we have to
go through to.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Become one of his.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
If we don't ever get past hearing, where are we.
We're no more better off than when we didn't hear.
We've heard, well, we're probably in worse shape because we've
heard it and we did nothing with it.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
We need to be doing something with the word. Then
he says in Romans chapter eleven and verse.

Speaker 6 (25:59):
Fourteen, if if by any means, I may provoke to
emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some
of them.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
And this is Paul speaking.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
He said he wanted them to emulate him, to be
like him, that then he might save some of them.
We may not save everybody The biggest thing that we
want to do is save ourselves. This soul that we
have is the most important. Then we can look about
saving others. In chapter five and verse nineteen through twenty, says, brother,

(26:39):
if any of you do err from the truth, and
one convert him, let him know that he which convert
the sinner from the air of his ways shall save
us all from death and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Are we looking at that on our fellow man, and

(26:59):
whether we can convert it getting to do those things
that God would have him to do. You know, they're
all the time out in this world trying to convert us.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
To something else.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
They've told to your house and bring you a little
haplet that says all you got to do is to
believe and receive.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Or you don't have to do that. Just give us
a little money and we'll bring you out of purgatory.
You know all right.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
That ain't what the book says. The book don't say that.
In One Peter, chapter one and verse seven through nine,
it says that the trial of your faith being much
more precious than of gold, that pariship, though it be
tried with fire, might be found under praise and honor

(27:49):
and glory at the praying of Jesus Christ, who, having
not seen you love and whom though you though now
you see him not yet believing, you rejoice with joy
unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, even.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
The salvation of your souls. We haven't seen it.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
I haven't seen Jesus, But through faith I know that
he was on the cross, and then he was taken
down off the cross and put in that supulcher, and
was there as he was said, three days and three.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Nights, and he come forward just like he was supposed to.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
I'm a seen of the disciples and of all those
others that he had seen before he ascended on high.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Do we believe that.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
With joy unspeakable rejoices receiving the end of your faith?
What is the end of our faith? Even the salvation
of our soul? That salvation is being with him in
nath drive by offense? Are we our souls need saving?
What saves the soul? Not institute some men? In Matthew

(29:12):
chapter fifteen, of verse ten through fourteen, it says, and
he called at the multitude and said to them here,
and U understand not that which goeth into the mouth
defileth the man. But that that cometh out of the mouth,
this defiles the mouth. Then came his disciples and said
unto him. Noticed that the Pharisees were offended after they.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Heard this saying. But he entered and said to them, every.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
Plant which my heavenly Father hath not planning, shall be
rooted up. Let them alone, they be blind leaders of
the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Shall fall into the ditch.

Speaker 6 (29:55):
He says, not every plant, every plant that my heavenly
Father has not planned and shall be rooted up.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
They will be a great written day. You know, when
I was growing up
