The all new All Book Striker podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Here we go, Booker and Striker. We are locked in
on all ninety eight seven. How are you a striker?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
I think my answer is I'm a combination of many things,
which is okay to say today, like part of me
is feeling great. Also, there is so much stuff going
on in the United States and the world it's impossible
not to recognize it. And of course today is the
twenty fourth anniversary of the nine to eleven attack. Certainly
is so that's that's my answer. What about you?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
You look strong in that flannel.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. No, it's off flannel,
but it's the print of a flannel shirt. Thank you
for saying that.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
What that's called print of a flannel? Does that have
a name?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
When I went to design school, fit.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Them, fit them? The name of the.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
School, I don't know what it is? Fashion Institute, Design
and Merchandise. Is that right? Did I just pull that
from somewhere?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I don't know how I did that. Well? You were there,
of course, yes, I went there. Yeah, you wrote the check.
How are you doing well?
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Exactly what you said, echoing your sentiments. Is someone that
was living in New York on nine to eleven. It
is a day that you know, every time every year
that it rolls around on the calendar, I get a
special something. I can't tell you how nice that day was.
It's the first thing that I remember that morning, like
if you could print the perfect day in the history
of the world, that day would be it. It was
(01:22):
just beautiful temperatures that day, and you know, just really
insanely crazy morning.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
So that's where our heads are at. And at the
same time, what are we going to do? Attempt to entertain,
have some fun, give crap away. We've got twenty one
pilot's tickets and at three twenty five on the nose,
awesome seats to see Lincoln Park.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, the last set of tickets. I swear to God,
I think these were supposed to be our seats because
they wouldn't put us up in Peanu and heaven.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
These were some good seats for somebody, you know what
I'm saying, Well, not for us anymore, there for you
at three twenty five, So hang out the ghet them
Booker instead, all ninety eight seven, Zon Booker and Striker

an event at No Vacancy with the band West.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Leg was there.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
They were performing and we looked over and I didn't
know they were there. Striker said, oh, and the Hives
are here from the stage, and I thought, like you
were joking that somebody looked like the Hives.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I looked over, I'm like, oh, the Hives are here.

A ton of winners.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay, Booker and Striker on Instagram to see this ban.
The Hives say, tell yah, no vacancy a great place.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
To if you look out there. In different stories about
clubs in Hollywood, a lot of times number one on
the list is no vacancy. Very fun. Getting serious here
for a moment. The man hunt for the person who
shot and killed Charlie Kirk is still underway. There's pictures
of the suspect out there college age. The weapon has
(03:30):
been recovered, some of the evidence. They do have a
palm print, a shoe impression of forearm print. There were
messages scribbled on the cartridges. My belief is the authorities
of the FBI, and they already know who they got.
They know who it is. They just don't know they
got the picture.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
They're gonna get the guy.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Twenty fourth anniversary of the nine to eleven attacks, A
couple of things here at Pepperdine. Everybody's familiar with the
giant lawn out there in Malibu. There's two nine seventy
seven flags right there for each life lost on nine
to eleven.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
And then I just wanted to bring up the memorial
in New York at the nine to eleven location. Where
the tents hours out right, So I went there in May.
You cannot predict what your emotions, what your feelings are
going to be until you get there, because it's a
combination of this is really beautiful what they've done here,
but then your heart just hurts so terrible because of
(04:24):
what happened there. So we're thinking about everybody A nine
to eight one. We said, way now, Angels in Seattle,
we got a big football game nine and actually a
really good Thursday game Commanders in Green Bay. That's on Prime.
I Striker, you like the pack, right? I do like
the pack the lot. That's all I got. Booker and Striker.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
All right, we there, Booker and Striker. It is all
ninety eighth seven, A couple of moments away from twenty
one pilot's tickets and in the three o'clock hour, kind
of a bonus hour for everyone.

specifically three twenty five. You have to be listening and
set an alarm on your phone. Tell your friends three
twenty five for Lincoln Park tickets.

if you sign up for the app you can.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
It's it's like the future.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's the Jetsons, It's the things we were promised when
we were kid. You walk in and you know how
sometimes have to present your phone even.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
You don't even have to do that. No, they know you.
They'd see your face.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
They know my blood type, they know what I'm packing
in these jeans, they know what shoe size you are.
Steve Balmer knows it all he knows, except he didn't
know about the basketball player and the investment and all
that money. Do you hear about that story? I can't
even begin to explain. Well, was it Kawhi Leonard.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
And he he took a deal with the Clippers, but
supposedly there was some other money tied up in an endorsement.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
That's what got you.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Didn't do one thingmentos and now that company is bankrupt.
I mean that's we'd get really deep into the weeks.
But the main point of all of this is Booker
and Striker and all ninety eight seven have your hookup.
And before we play nine Inch Nails, here friendly reminder.
We're giving away tickets to one of their two shows
the entire weekend.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Okay, you want to play nine inch nails. Now, that
wasn't scheduled, but I will play it for you.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
As alive as you need me to be.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
How to win those at three twenty five. Stick around
Booker and Striker to get them, Striker, with everything happening
in the world, book.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I just want to point out, if you don't hear
how to win them at three twenty five, you're not
going to get them at three forty or three forty five.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Good point for twenty five must be listening.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
As we do the show and attempt to entertain it
and be funny and distract. Of course we're sitting in
here and recognize all the bad, scary things happening out
there in the world. And today is September eleventh, the
twenty fourth anniversary of the nine eleven attacks.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, looking back on living in New York during that time,
that's a hard day. See always on the calendar. I
don't think I've ever been more scared in my life
than that morning, and it'll forever be in my mind,
in my heart.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Roughly three thousand people were killed. I've seen some great
moving pictures at Pepperdine University. They've got the huge lawn there.
Everybody knows it. In Malibu, there's two nine and seventy
seven flags for each life lost. Nice. We'll segue to this.
So the Emmys are this weekend. Of the following shows,
(07:27):
which one was the most watched series of twenty twenty five? Okay,
everyone has heard of every one of these shows, The
White Lotus, Abbot, Elementary, Survivor, Severance, only murders in the building.
All of those shows have some nominations. What was the
most watched series of twenty twenty five?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I would say Survivor. That would be my guest.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Of course, it's the I should have put some other
reality shows. Yes, can you believe it? Of all these shows, Yeah,
Survivor's just been there for us for forty five years now.
Jeff Probes is now seventy nine. Shout out Jeff Probs.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
But Survivor, man, they are in like season forty nine
or something that it's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
No one could stop talking about Severan's in the White Lotus.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's Survivor Survivors number one.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Let's give Fred durst in Lumbiscuit a mention here. Making
Love to Morgan Wallen is the name of the new
song that is coming out. Here's a taste from this
Cloud on a payment plan and I got it out
in a mini fan like get my hand like a
waffle comb, spitting out syrup and the two hours long
got no job, But I'm on the cop and you
(08:32):
can't stop me because it don't.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Stop lady, our little beasties, Hey, lady.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Lymp Biscuit. As we sit here in twenty twenty five,
they are playing to bigger crowds now than they ever
have in their career. And at one point, I don't know,
maybe you were born in two thousand and four you
didn't see it. They were one of the biggest bands
in the world and then went away for a while.
And now it's like, hey, people like that.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Remember the tour they did. I don't know if you
caught it with the cage on the stage.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I was there on the other.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Side of the cage. People would crawl up the cage.
It was awesome. It's like wrestling.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Los Angeles is no longer number one for the worst
traffic in the United States.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Somebody's beating us.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Here's your top five. Okay, Atlanta five, then San Francisco,
then Miami, then La. What city now has the worst traffic?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Don't say Nashville.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
No, no, not Nashville.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
They do have bad track. They complain about it. There.
It's fun. We sat in traffic for twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
We sat in traffic for twenty minutes this morning, twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
I would kill for twenty minutes. DC, oh, DC.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Let me just give two intersections a shadow right now
that I hate. Okay, the one oh one in the
four h five hate always crowded, Hey matter what hate?
And the one thirty four to the two ten by
Griffith park Hat. I hate that right there. Angels are
in Seattle, commanders, packers play some foods ball tonight. I'm striker,
that's all. I go. Hooker and striker.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Over seven all right, one eyed mastered, green day, Booker
and striker at all ninety eight seven DJ regulating, and
I just sat through a whole soliloquy on how Striker
should be the representative for NASA to the public because
he knows so much about like the International Space Station,
which is I guess soaring by.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Did you hear what he said about the height of
it when it's going by? That was my favorite part
of his rap.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Eleven degrees above earth.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
No, I think it's fifteen. I think you got it
wrong there.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
No, it's gonna matchimy, it'll be sixteen degrees tomorrow and
it'll be for four minutes above the horizon. If you
want to spop the International Space Station tomorrow night at
eight fifteen pm.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
We listen.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
It was It was great, the whole rap. That part
right there alone was great. I found it to be informative.
But when he paused to say it's at sixteen degrees
or whatever, it's at a great height, Like you know.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
I do know because the law I do, let me explain,
takes one second. The longer it's visible to our eyes,
the higher it is above the horizon.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Okay, it is.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
The shorter amount you're gonna see it because it's going
around the Earth and then it's gone. Sometimes it's like
thirty seconds up there. The maximum I've seen it is
about three and a half minutes.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Okay, But what I still do not understand what the height.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Listen, you want to cut. You want to come to
my Ted talk after work tonight on the International Space Station.
You can sit right in the front row.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Viewed by elevens of twelves of people.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Man, I love it. I get so jazz by NASA
and listen. I know we're friends. Bring me in. Come on.
If I promoted the Booker and Striker Instagram this much,
we have two million followers. Indeed, Hey, at three twenty five,
we're gonna tell you how to get these amazing seats
for Lincoln.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
P right, We're gonna play two songs. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
I don't know if that comes to three twenty five,
it'll be very very close. But after two songs, yeah,
we will explain exactly how you get these great tickets
and you'll get get if.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
They're very very out of me together, I'm gonna put
you on a wild ride to get them.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
But but listen. If you're not listening, then you have
a zero chance to win them. Just put it that way.
You have to listen to to win.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Maybe or three twenty five, I'll explain the degrees of
the International Space Hello Jesus, and how it works. Booker
and Striker.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
All right, Booker and Striker on All ninety h seven.
We are about to get you tickets to see Lincoln Park.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
But there's a twist.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Well one, they're great seats. Here's the twist on it.
All you have to do is pay close attention to
the conversation that we're about to have, and then within
the next thirty minutes, we're going to ask you a
question something about the conversation. Then when you call Booker
and Striker and answer the question correctly about this conversation,
you get the tickets.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
You believe people should take notes, Heck, yes, yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I would take a couple of notes, just a little
scribbles about whatever we're discussing.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Speaking of notes, a lot of people are going back
to school and going back to college. Do you remember
your first day of college?
Speaker 3 (12:47):
I do. You went to University of Arizona in Tucson.
I lived in a dorm called Graham Greenley, and they
paired me with a much older man as my.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Roommates come on with.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
In the first week, He's like, you want to audition
to be in Playgirl. I'm like, no, thank you. So
he went and auditioned to be in Playgirl magazine and
got in. I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
You could have been in College Playgirl.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
I could have been in a college Playgirl edition.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
You know, we have similar stories in where I went
to West Liberty University. This is in West Virginia, and
I my first dorm room. I swear to God, I'm
not making this up. The hall it was called Boner Hall.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Why would I'm not making it up.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
You could look it up.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
I mean you could really google it. And well, that's
a funny story in itself. So I was paired with
somebody and you know, in your mind you sort of romanticize, like, oh,
I'm going to have a new best friend and this
person's gonna.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Be cool and whatever.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Well I got a picture of this load and I
was like, this guy is not cool at all.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
And I changed roommates on like day one of college.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
I found some kid that I the high school with
that I like, and we ended up being roommates.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Because I didn't want to live with this guy. It
was just weird looking at it.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
I didn't have the opportunity to do that. I just
thought it was strange, Like I was going in there.
I just turned eighteen and the guy I was living
with was like twenty two, which at that time when
you're going from high school kids and now it's twenty
two year old, like, what's going on? And then the
whole playgirl thing.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Let me ask you a question at the end of
the day, Yes, did you see his playgirl?
Speaker 3 (14:27):
No? Uh, that's a yes, Yes, I did. You know
now that I see it. It was right on the
ceiling above his bed and we would do crunches every
night together.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
The story, it's just a little bit weirder as we go.
Something from this story will get you Lincoln Park tickets.
Hold on
Speaker 3 (14:44):
The all new, all afternoon Sweet Booker Homstanker podcast
