I'm not ready for all these people just walked, just
walked into the studio.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Here we go. No you you left us a response
on the Booker and Striker Instagram with just an X
on there, and I didn't know if that meant there's
a treasure map out in l A. But here s
Mumford and Sons, everybody, Booker and.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Striker, Marcus Ted and Ben Ted and Ben? Can I
get Mike checks out of you very quickly? I'm not

Speaker 4 (01:11):
So Lisa asked us to come in and take control.
And you know, all right, we're a little busy, but
not too busy. We thought we'd come and help her
out because we like her. No no, and the microphones.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Well, so, Marcus, you'll have to share.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
I got you. So listen.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Mother End and Sons were playing a sold out show
at the Hollywood ball We had nothing else to do. Today, right,
no sound check. You don't have to rest your voice,
you don't have to rest your fingers standing up all day.
Thank you for showing up and surprising us.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Look at it. Who doesn't have you sound checked yet?

Speaker 4 (01:45):

Speaker 3 (01:57):
I remember seeing you in like two thousand and seven
Her eight in Los Angeles, and we talk about this
on our show all the time. You're like one of
those bands. When we saw you for the first time,
it was instant, like these guys rule.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
This is awesome. We've had a very long history of
this place. Played went and played the Hotel Cafe in
like eight, and then we did Henry Fonder and we
did play them.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We closed like when you play that the outdoor.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
The Hollywood Ball is the most iconic venue to me here.
Obviously you can get bigger. We did a show in
sam Bernardino in a field like it was actually lovely,
like sixty thousand people there, but you know, you don't
want to skip the steps, and we kind of have

(02:43):
enjoyed going back to the beginning. So we played played
hum in March and then we're playing the Bowl then
coming back you'll have us.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah, I have an idea, and I normally don't get
good ideas. This may think. By the way, Mumford and
Son's just surprise Booker and Striker and out ninety eighty seven.
It's a sold out show. It's an l a show.
Maybe you've given out all your tickets. Do you have
a couple pair that maybe we could give away to
our listeners.

Speaker 6 (03:07):
I've actually not got any friends in la at all,
and yes, a load it so happens I have on my.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Guest list is sparse. Actually is that why? What's your idea?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Well, let's let's hand it over to the listeners and
maybe they can ask a question. It's not like we
prepared for an interview. We didn't know you guys were coming.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
I didn't prepare not to have any friends. Should preparing line? Yeah,
this is great.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
How about this?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
If you have a question for Mumford and Sons, if
they deem it to be a decent question, then you
will get Ted's tickets from Mumfort and Sons.

Speaker 7 (03:38):
You'll do just you.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
We do have a list of rubbish questions like if
a questioning kick them out, like if you if you
hit us with a rubbish question, you're out. Including you guys.
By the way, you're on very thin ice, very very
thin I the whole life.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Has been on thin ice. Just to let you know
what's the number to call and ask a question.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Eight and seven eight two seven nine eight seven.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Eight hundred and seven eight two seven niney.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I've scrambled. I've found a Mumford and Son's song. There's
a couple in the system about fifty rush mare. You
want to start there?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh yeah, I mean, are you asking me or them?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Let's ask? I say yes, don't say.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
It's a wonderful place to start. Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Let's play that.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
How does it work? You press a button and it
just does it?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Booker and Striker, Bloler, Young Booker and Striker and Mumfords
and Sons just it.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Just popped it and we found the buttons.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Ready. Oh no, here we go.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Hold on, Go ahead, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Mumford and Sons just ruined Booker and Strikers show with
that song.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Ahead and let you guys know that your time here
is done. Bye. Now, you're right, you can stay. You
can say this.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Is what happens when a band comes in and they
find our sound. But see this is what it.

Speaker 8 (04:53):
Just Oh hell yeah, we should take this with us
and I yeah, we need this.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Yeah, we need this more than you guys need this.
You need the us.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Well, just on stage, I love that they're pressing the
sound machine button that normally my fingers are tapping over there.
This is exciting watching Mumford and Sons. This is what
live radio should be and it is and you guys,
thank you for being here. Sold out tonight?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh yeah, all right, name dropper.

Speaker 2 (05:20):

a load of tickets for tonight. They sold out the
Hollywood Boy.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
I've got a load of tickets.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Come on and if you would like to go, If
you've got a good question for the band, if you
ask it, the band likes your question, we'll give you tickets.
If your question sucks, I don't know what, but how
about this.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Even if you're questioning stinks, the rest of your life,
you can say you talk to Mumford and Sons live
on the radio.

Speaker 7 (05:48):
Yeah, there's always that, Yeah, there's always that.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
That's a highlight. Come on, come on.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Let's go to the first live caller. Jennifer, you're on
with Mumford and Sons and Booker and Striker.

Speaker 9 (05:58):
Hi, Jeffer, Hi, how are you guys. I'm so excited
to be talking to you.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
It's nice to speak to you. Jennifer. Where are you?

Speaker 9 (06:08):
I'm actually just had to pull off the freeway because
I had my top down and I got reprimanded by
the guy on the phone.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
That'd be our producer. Well done, regulation, all right.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
So you pulled your top up, you pulled over. What's
your question from Mumford and Sons?

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Please?

Speaker 9 (06:26):
I want to know what are the top two must
have on your rider list that you have to have
in your dressing room.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Jennifer is a fantastic that's good.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
That's good question, beg.

Speaker 8 (06:42):
I think you've got to have some sort of fizzy
vitamin C supplement, you know, just to get you through
one of those trickia immune days.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
Yeah, a lot of bugs on the road, A little
tickle like that.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Pedia.

Speaker 7 (06:54):
You know we've got this.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Uh you know you heard rocking wrong, rock and roll?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Rock and roll?

Speaker 7 (07:03):
What about rocking emergency? Like random drugs on.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Cocaine as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah, just for guests, you know,
because we've got a reputation to uphold.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I don't like. Okay, it smells great though.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Things you can do on the radio, we give tickets or.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
To answer answer her.

Speaker 10 (07:32):
Question made my.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Jennifer Radio, You're going to.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Need a top, That's what I'm gonna say.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Yeah, And in England we go to concerts with our
shirts on generally.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Yes, so well, Jennifer, hold on one second, All right,
another question Mandolin, Mandolin, Mandolin.

Speaker 10 (07:59):
Hey, gentlemen, it's a pleasure to talk to you guys.
So my question for you is for you guys being musicians,
not myself at all, which is ironic. What are there
are there any other type of instruments like string instruments
or anything like guitars or leers or anything like that
that you would want to try to dabble with and

(08:20):
play with to create new types of songs like like
a hop.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Yeah, hang up, that's a good question.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Maybe your name is at Mandolin, but you sell Mandolin's
and here we go. I liked put her on hold.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Do we give her tickets?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
It's not to us, it's up to.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Authentic question. Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Hey, you know what I actually I bought a kra
which is a sort of African hop, and i'd be
taking lessons. The lads don't know this. I've actually had lessons,
but I still suck. But I would love to incorporate
a live show. Yes, Mandolin, what a wonderful question.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
It's the name of the instrument that he plays in
the Legend of Zelda. I had a friend who got
really deep into niche instruments at high school and he
played the ocarina. Oh yeah, it's like a little like
bowl flute thing that he can blow into and like
a cross like something you SMI recorder and I don't
know the ocarina. Maybe it's time for the okarina Harper.

(09:33):
I've been learning a lot about Nicol Harper actually would
like to mess with it. I'm being so careful with
my language. I'm trying.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
He has such a filthy mouth. I'm surprised we've made
it twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
I like, I would like to mess with a dulcimer.
You know, Johny did that right, and no one's really
done in a sense.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Have you guys heard about the instrument that the dude
from tam And Paula Kevin Parker invented and have you
played it not?

Speaker 6 (10:00):
But I would like to mess with that would It's
got a stringed instrument.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
No, no, I don't think any more like a Jonny
Greenwood also from Radiohead events instruments. Very clever.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
All right, we're going to play one of the songs
that you've suggested, Tame and paul greg unless I know
the why.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
It was amazing.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
Sorry I let you down there, didn't you sieved me?

Speaker 4 (10:23):
That's auled it. That's all right.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Mumford and Suns is here. It's the day of their show,
sold out at the Hollywood Bowl. If you want to
talk to the guys, call us here right now, eight
hundred and seven eighty two seven nine eight seven.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
We'll play this. Yeah, we'll get some of your questions
and we'll get ready for the show. To These guys
are dancing around. I like the energy in here, Striker,
this is fun. This speech's working Hollywood ball tonight, sold
out show of course, Mumford and Son's Booker and Striker
live with the band on all night of each other.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Booker and Striker.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Booker and Striker.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
To me is playing w WE video games and about
ninety eight. Is that right?

Speaker 5 (11:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
That song?

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Bye Blink?

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Marcus, Ted and Benner here from Mumford and Sons live
with Booker and Striker by the way, the day of
their show at the Hollywood Bowl.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
And don't forget we got tickets for the show. They're
sold out. If you can ask a decent question at
eight hundred and seven eighty two seven nine eighty seven,
we'll give you tickets.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
We're too We're so English we can't say no. If
someone makes the effort to give you guys a call,
even if the questions rubbish, we're too English. We'll see.
Maybe it's a challenge to see how bad the questions
could be. No, no, no, I don't think there's any
question if someone cools.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Well, a striker, start with your question about I want
to hear this.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
It was quite a few years back. It was at
the Troubadour, one of the best venues in Los Angeles,
and Marcus you were on stage, and Mark Hoppis was
on stage, and I believe Tom Morella was on stage.
Are you friends with Blink? Are you friends with Mark Hoppis?
What are you know, like, what's your relationship?

Speaker 4 (11:56):
I wouldn't say I wouldn't say we have I wouldn't
go so far as to say like we have a relationship.
I love him to bits and whenever I do see him,
we have a laugh and I think he's great. He's
not my next of kin, okay, you know, And I
think celebrities can get a bit carried away with like
the sort of name droppy. This is my friend's thing,
but I love him to bits. He interviewed. He gave

(12:19):
us one of our first on camera interviews ever. He
had a tea. He was the host. I'm fuse yeah,
and it was the first time we sat in front
of cameras and that was very fun. And he's just
been always very sweet to our band. And so when
we played the Tribadile, he came along with Tom the
Mighty Tom. I think as well. Yeah, that was a

(12:41):
fun night. It was such a good show.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Were there, Yeah, thanks for bringing me up.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Forrest gum Hey, unbelievable scene.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
You ever see that break stuff by olymp Biscuit video.
I'm in there, Yeah, big scene. Tips and yes, that's right.
We take calls book or some questions and I want to.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Ask them because their tour, they're doing something different when
they launched that. I want to get into that and
get an explanation from the band about it. But first
the train tour.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I think you're what line did you say?

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Did you like five number two? Jackie? Jackie on with
Momford and Son Jackie Hill, do you have a question.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Let's chat, Jackie. No offense, We've got to be somewhere.

Speaker 9 (13:28):
Okay, I'm so sorry. My question is who are your
biggest rock and roll influences?

Speaker 10 (13:34):
Hopefully that question is not rubbish.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
It's not rubbish. That's good.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
You just got tickets.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Congratulations, Yes, who are you?

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Who? Your ted?

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Little Richard is one of my favorites rock and I mean,
is that what you're talking about when you when you
say rock and roller? I mean there are so many,
aren't there? Aren't we lucky to live in.

Speaker 9 (13:54):
It's to interpretation, however you interpret that.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
I interpret it as Little Richard's by way of led
Zeppelin with a little sprinkle of the Beatles on top.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Yeah, Jackie, I absolutely have to say Brian Wilson, oh.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Because oh yeah, we're here and.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
He You know, when you look at the history of
modern music, I don't think there's a bigger influence on
all of our collective favorite artists. You just watch over
the last twenty four hours the statements that have come out.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
They're kind of our country's.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
People, McCartney. When they influence, they influence everyone. You know,
you look at what Elton John said the last twenty
four hours about Brian Wilson. So whatever you feel personally
about the Beach Boys, and I happen to think they're
like one of the greatest bands ever to exist. The
influence he had on rock and roll is like totally undeniable.

(14:49):
So yeah, think about great.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Answer you out, Yeah, absolutely great answer, Ben, How are
you going to follow there?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Jackie hold on?

Speaker 7 (15:01):
Okay a bit.

Speaker 8 (15:02):
You know, I think a lot of this California music
is it makes its way around the globe. You know,
it was fun listening to Blink just then, but there's
been so many.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Disconnect There's that kind of language, bloody, vulgar and abusive language.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
That's an automatic disconnect.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
You've got a dirty horrors mouth first curse.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
So wait, what happens now we're back? It's okay, fill
up with smoke and then Ben gets removed. No's what
about Jackie? Im worried about Jackie? He does get the hook,
I can get lost in the vortex.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
You've lost your position. Your microphone has now gone.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I didn't think my I thought it'd be.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
He is the dirtiest person, one of the dirtiest people.
I know.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
That curious so much.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
So here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna play one
of your songs, and well, which one?

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Which one are we gonna do?

Speaker 2 (16:07):
How about we'll wait?

Speaker 4 (16:09):
I will well wait wait for you wait? Yeah, you
got the name of this song. Like I said, that
was a really easy one that was.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Trying to be cool with the artist title and just said,
we'll wait, we'll play that one.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Man our credibilities. God, I'm just gonna hang out with Mumford.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
And you joined the band now, Ben's yes, I.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Hate Marcus Momford record. Wow, I'm sorry Momford. I like
Sons better screw him to yourself.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Booker and Striker.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Familiar love that song?

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Will wait, will wait? Well wait, here's my question, here's
the here's the boss.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Mumford and Sons.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
You know, of course it's luck at them system, But
here's the boss. What do you mean here too? Striker,
you're at the controls, right, But I feel like he's
the spiritually.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah he is. Oh yeah, he's the heart and song.
I'm the monkey that runs the content.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Mumford and Sons is live.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
That one, There's there's, there's so I can say easily
just calm down down, calm down with yourself things in.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Just a quick reset for everybody. If you didn't know,
Booker and I have been asking on social media for
Mumford and Sons maybe to stop by our show before
they go to the hall. The show is tonight. The
venue is three point eight miles away. And these guys
are so nice and so generous they actually showed up.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Thank you for coming, Thank you for coming. And let know,
let's ask about the tour. You present that question about
the train.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Now the train tour, we would like to know a
lot about it. I feel like something similar to this
happened quite a few years ago. What is the train
tour in? What month does it start? Give us some
details please.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
It's in August. We ended the last one in two
thy twelve or thirteen, something like that in New Orleans.
So we're starting again where we left off in New Orleans.
And this time we're bringing a bunch of friends with
us to make what we think is the ultimate house band.
And the idea is that every night, anyone who's on

(18:33):
the train that can play us we'll travel from show
to show by train. We have like eleven vintage rail
cars and we'll start in New Orleans and anyone who's
on the train who can play a song gets to
jump up and we'll do like a Greenwich Village style
open mic at the beginning of the show.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
And so it's not an opening act part.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Of the show. And we've got people like Madison Cunningham
and Lucius and Nathaniel Ratelist Trombone, Shorty sure Tea and
they fall back wonderful, Big Chris Steele from The Punch Brothers,
all coming like our favorite musicians and our favorite people
and anyone who wants to play a song can play
a song. And then a monthly it sounds a players

(19:11):
set and then at the end we'll do a big
hoop Nanny with everyone, and every night we're going to
have a special guest that we can't tell you about,
and we're going to learn their songs and we're going
to play their songs. So it's like a big old
rolling last waltz. And then we go where do we go?
Where do we start. We start New.

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Orleans and New Orleans up to South Carolina Spartanburg, and
then go to Richmond, and then I think we've got
a day off just on the train, and we end
up in Burlington, Vermont.

Speaker 7 (19:39):
I'm really excited.

Speaker 8 (19:40):
I think we all love the train, just the concept
of the train, you know, like where it can take
you and the places that you travel through on train lines.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
You get to see this country going through someone's back garden.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
Yeah, like the way that things cut up. It's not
the highway, it's a it's a weird way to get around.
It's really fun.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Let's take a f question.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
By the way, the number to get on Live with
Mumford and Sons eight hundred and seven eighty two, seven
nine eighty seven. If your question is good, it's a
sold out show. The guys from Mumford and Sons will
get you on their guest list. So who are we
going to?

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Okay, Christy is on, Christy, You're on with Mumford sub Christy.

Speaker 10 (20:19):
Hi.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
Hell, my question is what's your favorite venue to perform
that in the LA area.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
The answer is the Hollywood boll I mean it's actually
absolutely yeah. Yeah, this this and we played it before
David Beckham came and I said, I got so nervous.
I just said, thank you for the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Can you hit that name dropper button over there?

Speaker 4 (20:46):
That's name dropper I love. Yeah. Uh, it's iconic. I mean,
you know, you drive I lived here for a while
and you drive past every day and I always get
envy when people get to play it because it's it's
the holy I played it with Johnny Mitchell hold On
where the hell there? You played in November and just

(21:08):
couldn't wait to come back and play it as a band,
and we haven't done it in a while. So I
genuinely that is my favorite venue here. Okay?

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Is that worthy of giving her tickets for that question?

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
You're going to see the sold out the.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Ticket hold on one second? Heard those noises in the
Do we have hold On regularly? Do we have more tickets?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Yeah? We have one more pair?

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Positive?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Alright, Matthew. Your question for Munford, and.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
My question is what was your guys' first venue you
play that and anything special happen at it in la
or just in general in general, like in your whole career?

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Was it the upstairs at that pub?

Speaker 6 (21:53):
In Hammersmith when there were like fourteen people in Munford
and Son's and I mean it was on Monday night.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Yeah, that one. Yeah, I mean before we had a
lawyer or a manager.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Do you remember the shows?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
You know, you were terrible. We were like the worst public.
There's more people in the band than they were in
the crowd. And after that show, our friend from school's
dad it was a lawyer, came up to me and said,
if you don't let me be your lawyer, I'll break
your kneecaps. So that was memorable and he was amazing.
He was absolutely wonderful, cool Mafia based Matthew.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
You got tickets for their show tonight?

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Hey that first show?

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Were they all original songs that you later?

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Did you do any covers? No? I think they were
all original. They were all original.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
And are any of those songs part of the set tonight?

Speaker 4 (22:44):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I mean a lot of the songs
off the first record?

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Really, Okay, do you have favorite covers?

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Yeah? Yeah, we do, we do. We we love I mean,
is it because you do it well or no? It's
just fun to play covers. I think it's just fun
to play anything. But yeah, I mean we you know,
for a while we played with a little help from
my friends, but we did the Joe Kocha USh and
of that Beatles song we like, we really enjoyed playing Hurt,

(23:13):
which the nine inch nail, So I don't know. I
think also the Rising Sun give that New Orleans with
Trombone Shorty and John Batiste and Salis. Actually that was
really fun.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Yeah, what will you do with the rest of your day?
You will sound check at some point.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
I assume, Yeah, we're gonna go sound check. We like
sound check in these days. Is that like we're playing
like a we're playing a We might play we might
play new songs that aren't on Rushma just for fun,
just to mess with people.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Somebody get up on that hill and record.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
So yeah, we treat them early on in a tour.
And this is the first proper tour we've done in
six years. You know, we do some festivals and one
offs and stuff, but we haven't done like proper shows
with our people, and so there's a massive sense of
relief to us to get in front of our audience
gain because we missed it. And you know, I don't
want to get too emotional and stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I'm telling you it's getting really good.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Keep it. And so it's a relief, honestly to be
back and playing in front of our people. And I
think we we want to make this show better and
better and better as we go. So we've done four
so far and the bolt tonight. So we use sound
check as rehearsal time as well as just like checking
everything worse.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
But we can thank you, guys enough for not only
are the music over the years, but the great live shows.
As we said straight away at the top when you
walked in here, and thank you for showing up. You
have made our day and our listener's day and getting
our listeners on your guest lists.

Speaker 5 (24:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
Yeah, because we've got this sense of gratitude with what
we do at the moment, because we're back on tour.
And but you know, there's this sense of, like, God,
there were moments in the past in our career where
I think we've let people let things pass us by
a bit too quickly and we weren't quite present enough
to it, and maybe we're a bit pissed, and and
now we get to go again, and it just feels

(25:13):
like an absolute privilege. And so coming in here, we're
at the beginning of the toward too, So we've got
energy the.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Energy sorry coming into your show.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Thanks for having us very much as well.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Thanks for coming in. Do you want to go out
with one of your songs or okay.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Do you like Joe that who's also on Stranger Things,
Joe Currey.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
I'm obsessed with Joe. You are to play a Joe's song? Okay?

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Going back to Chicago.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
That you like that at the beginning? Yeah, yeah, I
liked it so much that I learned how to play it.
When I really love a song, I learned I'll sit
down and learn it. And that's often how I learned
new guitar ideas. So I like people what you're saying, yeah, yeah, yeah,
But you like Candy by McGee, Yes, I was like,
I've got to learn how to play that. Right In
the early days, I learned like a Johnny Flynn song
on the guitar, and that taught me a style of

(26:01):
picking that I hadn't used before. So when I really
really love a song, I get obsessed about it. I've
got to understand how it works. Like someone who's a mechanic,
it has to take something apart to understand. I do
that with the songs and end of the beginning by Joe.
It's one of those songs for me.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Okay, say goodbye to the guys, thank you.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
I'm going to stay. You can you stay?

Speaker 3 (26:19):
And you stay and I go to the Hollywood Ball
with you.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Right now, we'll do what we do every night, Ted,
and we'll just press play on your party.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Here's Joe. Thanks guys, It's Striker
