Speaker 1 (00:00):
So then I said, what about breakfast at Siciny's.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Well, that's one thing. We got time to sit.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Back, relax and indulge in your weekly tea. Welcome to
breakfast at Sicens and we're back.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Hey, it's Sisney and Erica. Hello.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
It's been a minute, and a lot has happened. I
feel what has happened, Well, my children are getting older,
they don't need me as much. No, you're all life,
all of the things in between. I mean, this crazy
hurricane that's happening right now in Florida, Oh my.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Gosh, so scary. I feel like between the two of us,
we have a lot of friends and family out there.
I do.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
My cousin's in Orlando.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Orlando's not being hit as bad as like, well, it
ended up not going to Tampa. It's like just south
of Tampa, Okay, but whatever that coast is right there,
it's brutal.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I want to say, is it Saint Petersburg?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Oh, Saint Pete Jean Pete, Yeah, yeah, yeah, which is
like just south of Tampa. That's where I spent New
Year this year, was in Saint Pete.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Oh my gosh, I wonder if like it's still there.
There was like they were showing like the stadium where
I forget what baseball.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Team plays there, the Tampa Bay Rays.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Thank you go, thank you go. I'm like, you go,
thank you go. On that the roof completely ripped off.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
You know. I would rather, and I say this as
someone who hasn't been in huge earthquakes, I would rather
experience earthquakes than these hurricanes.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I feel like I had this exact same conversation the
other day with Biatta. All right, well, i'm gonna say
our boss, my boss, your former boss. Yeah, and I
was saying the same thing. I was like, I think
I would prefer an earthquake and then just have it
be over with and then deal with the aftermath then.
But she was like, no, she's like a hurricane at
least can prepare and like, you know it's coming.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Out, I'll get out or stay or like whatever. But
like an earthquake, you don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
And if it's took a seven point, like you know,
the big one like they always say it's coming, then
your sol So I'm kind of like changing my mind
on that.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Okay, that's true. I don't know what any natural disasters truly, but.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, these are scary. These hurricanes are so scary.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
I was watching CNN and Anderson Cooper is like out
there and like the okay, I the storm.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
You know what I said today to my host here,
I said, can you believe someone of Anderson Cooper's success
is in his water pants out in the middle of
the hurricane.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I think he likes it. I think this is in
his DNA, like it's just who he is. And you know,
he covered Hurricane Katrina years and years and years ago.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Like it's just I don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Some people just you know, they're storm chasers or in
his case, he's a news chaser. But but yeah, there's
people that actually have professions like this, like they are
chasing this hurricane in an airplane and to get data
and to get like all this stuff. I know, I
saw like something on TikTok and it was showing them
like in the turbulence of the storm on the airplane.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Can you imagine.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
No, I could not be married to someone like that.
I'd be like, no way, I would be stressing all
the time.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
They were gone.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, I uh, not for.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Me, not for me either, but praying for all the
families of course that are affected by this. And it's
just heartbreaking to see. I mean, five six feet of
water in some of these cities and their houses are gone.
They've lost everything. And a lot of those communities were
like Latinos and it's just that all they had was
at home and they weren't like, you know, right, living
(03:33):
life to make ends meet essentially, and now they have
to deal with this.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
So it's just really heartbreaking to see.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
And there's a lot of organizations that you can donate to,
like Feeding America, Baby to Baby, the Humane Society.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, are all good places helping find pets that have
been left behind, which is horrific.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
But yeah, you've got to think of maybe some of
the places that are more rural inland maybe and they
had to just abandoned the farm or like all their
animals and like their cages and stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
It's just heartbreaking.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
So scary Taylor Swift donated five million dollars.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
She should, oh, I know, but five.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Million got jillionaire, Like, where's Besos, where's all these other
billionaires like they should be donating to they should Like
I love Taylor Swift and I'm not like mocking out
by any means. I'm like, but I'm like, yes, like
thank you Taylor for stepping up and doing something like that.
If I was a billionaire, I would donate a million
times over totally.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
It's just wild.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Wouldn't it be great? If I was a billionaire, that
would be I, let's just.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Probably let you employ me and then I just like
we're going work.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I would be like, just live with me, Like, let's
just live, just move in with me. Get a gigantic
mansion that has like a bridge that connects our houses
like Diego Rivera and fried Calo had in Mexico City.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I know that fact.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I know who Frieda Callo is. Who is Diego Rivera.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Diego Rivera's her husband and also an artist. They live
separately but together. And this in this beautiful home that
connected It was a bridge that connected the two homes.
And ever since I saw that house, when I was
like in college, I was like, wow, this is so cool.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Which I want to leave you at this with my
best friends.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
I was gonna say, I'm getting you off topic here,
but would you ever live like that with your husband?
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Do you know? Talk to me in twenty years.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Because I saw some article that was like living separately
is the new trend, and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
It's no, and you're so like in pre You're just
like in the Honeymoon of honeymoon stages right now with
your boyfriend totally, but every now and then, like when
we get sick, when one of us gets scited, when
none of us gets sick and we get the whole
room to ourselves, it is nice even being sick.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
I'm like, you know what, enjoy the bed. I can
roll around, roll around, do whatever I want.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
You know, But we I love him and I want
to day with him as close by it for now,
for now.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Maybe in twenty years, when the yeah kids are out
of the house, we're all living in your compound with you.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah right, I just need to become a billionaire like
Taylor Swift. Maybe I'll do my own Era's tour. See
where that takes me.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
And what would that consist of?
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Who knows a lot of twists and turns. Oh, you know,
Asa is doing cheerleading at her school.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Oh my gosh, what is I know? So the twins
are in first.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Grade and they they and they offer cheerleading at their
school and ass you know, part of it, and she
loves it and she's having so much fun, and so
I took her last week to go see my nieces
perform because they are cheerleaders at their high school. Yeah,
and one of them is a senior. I can't believe
Arian as a senior. But we took the train down
(06:54):
to San Diego and it was just so fun. And
having one child, like one on one time in general
is really nice, but just managing one is so easy,
and like this is like you're like, let's go, let's
travel every weekend together. Like she was so chill, but
you put them all together and it's chaos.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, well then they're fighting. Then they all need attention.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
It's it's attention, it's competition. It's yeah, I'm being a kid,
I guess, but you were. You were you wanted to
ask me a question because Maxim stayed back with Michael
and Savellah and they went to a blippy party.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
I have two questions you now. My first one's going
to be, is this your dream come true? That Asa
is doing cheerleading because you were a cheerstar.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yes, it's not a very like competitive cheer team or
anything like that. It's super listen, Okay, it's never too
early to start. But I like that she's enjoying it
because it's such an easy I would have hated to
like start her in like an all star program that's
like very intense and there's a lot of competitions and
(08:01):
all that, and then like she's in it and she's like,
I don't like this at all, so I wanted to
gradually go into it. And it's the perfect It's almost
like Pop Warner. It's like it's like the purpose perfect
stepping stone for it, and she loves it. And you
know how sensitive as is with her ears and he
and like noise and stuff.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
She has no issue with cheer.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
So I'm like, this is so mental, like you realize,
like not like it's mental, like she's crazy, but it's
mental like in her head, like you know you Because
they did like a PEP rally in which I missed,
and I feel like a horrible, horrible mom guilt over
it because I missed her first PEP rally. It was
the friday of the Ihear Radio Music Festival. Oh and
so I was in Vegas, but Michael went and like,
(08:43):
you have to take off work and you have to
be there.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
This is like do her dad?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yes, So he took great video and sent it to me.
And he's texting me on the side and he's like, dude,
He's like, it's so loud in here, like I can't
It's like we're out of Jonahs Brother's concert, like back
when they were like the kid Jonahs.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Or like Harry one direction.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Yes, just like ear piercing.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
He's like, all the kids are screaming, it's so loud,
and As is like not covering her ears and she's
not phased by it, and I'm like, wow.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
What is happening. Okay, well that's all fantastic. Yes, now
we need to discuss Blippy. He's great.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
If you've got kids, you know Blippy.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
I and I know Blippy from my nephew, who is great. However,
Blippy freaks me out, and I am curious what the
deal with Blippy is there.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Blippy and Mika, his best friend, all fall into the
same category as like Miss Rachel, like it's it's kid TV,
like when I think and they speak to children, they
have to be just so animated and have them escape
reality because nobody speaks like that.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
In real life.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Right, So when they're watching the show and he's like, Hi, today,
we're gonna go to the San Diego zoo.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Huh, it's so exciting at.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
The San Diego Zoo and he's like laughing in like
it's just like over the top animation, but the kids
are glued in watching and all the episodes are like educational.
The other day they did like a dance themed one
and they went to a dance studio in Studio City
and they did tap, ballet and hip hop and they
like showed all the steps.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
So it was just so cute. And then they'll do
like it's like field It's like a field trip in every.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Episode, but like the kids are watching it.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Kids are watching it, they love it, and and so
then they got to meet them and so it was
like meeting their own version of a celebrity.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Oh that was the real Blippy thing.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yes, that was the real Flippy.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Oh my gosh, I'm gonna need you to send me
a video so I can pass along to my nephew.
He will lose his mind.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Are we which, by the way, what what are we
gonna say?
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Are we weirded out by the man who plays Slippy?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
No, and there's been multiple Blippies at this point, I
want to say he's the third Blippy.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
I don't know what happened to the first two.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Like Steve, okay, I think so too.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Okay, Okay, you know, it evolves, it evolves, and.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Apparently they're bringing Barney back. I don't know if I
can go down that path, but I read that. I
read that headline this morning.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yeah, I'm like, Okay, that's a lot. But you know what,
I have a three.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Year old, so you gonna be watching it.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
If it pops up on Netflix and she starts clicking
on it, then here we go. You were just at
a kid friendly place the other day, and I'm so
sad that you were so close to me.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
You're at Disneyland.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
I know, I was at Disneyland. It was really really
quick work trip, great, awesome, amazing. Honestly, Like one of
the highlights of your career is They're like, what a
broadcast from Disneyland, And I'm like, yes, it.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Really is, because let me give some people behind the curtain.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Okay, up until that, Up until that point, Erica has
been like behind the scenes of people that broadcast at Disneyland.
So it's other morning shows or other people, and you'd
either go as the producer or you wouldn't go at all.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yeah, you stay behind and watch the board.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Yea, So it is a very huge accomplishment to be
invited to go to Disneyland as a broadcaster and and
talk about all the new stuff. I'm assuming you're promoting
Halloween time.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
No, we were promoting holidays at Disneyland Resort because people
are pyreeks.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Now, yeah, that's true. Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
By the way, the characters are getting new costumes I'm sorry,
outfits this year, which is actually why cool. You can't
say costumes, Oh no, I don't know, maybe you can,
but they were saying, oh, they're getting new outfits. They're
getting like new Christmas outfits. So when you go, I
love Disney.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Disney makes me so happy.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
But then it's like, once we're there, I'm like, can
the kids just like all get along and behave Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
This is my question. So my boyfriend came with me,
which was really fun. We did one full day like
nine am all the way till eight pm, like NonStop.
We did not sit down for this.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Did you have to work that day or this was
like fun day?
Speaker 2 (12:55):
That was fun day the first day.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Okay, not that works, not fun, but you know what
I mean?
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but bye. At the end, of the day.
My lower back was hurting so badly. I was like,
I feel like I'm gonna die right now. How do
parents do it?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
I could never have a kid there, Well you got it?
Did you incorporate booze here and there throughout the day?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Of course?
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Okay, I'm like that usually helps, and you know what
that's I'm gonna take this tip from my almost eighty
year old mother.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Two tailanols.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Oh wait before Disneyland, you can do it before.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
It's almost like, if you're gonna have like a long night,
you're gonna wear like really uncomfortable shoes and you know
your feet are gonna hurt, Like you to I always
take like a couple of tilenol and it gets me
through the night.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
So smart next next time, before or after?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
How to you wearing shoes that really hurt?
Speaker 3 (13:45):
I never wear shoes that really hurt sometimes. I mean
that was way back in the day.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
But like that's your party girl days.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
But even even if like at an event, like I'll like,
you know, I'll power through for a jingle ball, like
I wore heels last year jingle Ball, and then you're
running around and stuff, and so I have to go
to an event tonight.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
I think I'm gonna wear unable shoes well to Thailand.
All yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
I actually just reminded myself. I was like, I gotta
take some Tylan that'll help.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
What age did you guys start bringing the kids to
Disneyland because the other thing.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
The twins were like six months old.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Oh, I kind of remember this, and it was a
little boat ride.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
It was very okay.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
So I was invited and so yes, it was you know,
with work, we get fun perks. But I was invited
by the president of ABC, of all people that would
have power, because I happened to be in New York
that weekend before or the week before I was going
to go to Disney. So I was already going to
go to Disney with like tickets that I.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Got from work, okay, and we had no plan.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Except for we were going to spend the night with
the twins there and have the hotel so that we
can take breaks and nap them and do whatever was
needed and.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Just go and like have them get a picture with me,
get many when they're babies.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Like I thought it'd be cute, and so I was
mentioning I met her in New York because this is
when Ryan used to do Live with Kelly and Ryan
and the radio studio was all connected to the TV studio.
And I met her and she was so nice and
she was like, look, she's like, if you're going, like
you have to do the VIP tour. And I was like, oh,
what's that? Like is that like an hour thing or
(15:22):
something like that. I don't know what the heck of
VIP tour was.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Yeah, She's like no, She's like, you'll have like a
VIP like a tour guide. And I was like, oh,
I'm like.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
I don't need all that, like I know my way
around Disneyland. Sometimes she was like no, trust me. I
was like, okay, literally, I show up clueless. And if
you're listening right now and you know what I'm talking about,
your player like rolling your eyes, like how do you
not know about this Disney?
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Do you know about this?
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Erica?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
I only think I saw one. I think I saw
a famous person at Disneyland this past weekend with one of.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Them, Okay, And by all means like I don't Michael
and I like, it's not like we can just drop
big books for something like this because it's very expensive
and so basically it's a guide that's with you for
ten hours and they map out the day for you
based on your well. For us, we had babies, so
she was like, we can do this. She's like, she's
(16:15):
the one that told us we could do Pirates of
the Caribbean. Like I had no idea. I would have
never brought the babies on Pirates of the Caribean. She
was like, yep, any all ages and we and then
she got us like you know, greade seating for a
parade and like all that stuff. It was ended up
being like one of those dream Disney trips that I
probably would have never experienced with the twins. And we
never ended up going to the hotel during the day
(16:35):
because they just were so like exhausted and napped naturally
just in their strollers.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
And then we just had lunch or something and it.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Was just a perfect perfect day And honestly, that was
probably my last favorite Disney after that.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
They were like, I want to go on that ride.
I'm scared, I'm hungry. Oh yeah, NonStop.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
How old was Savelloh when she went first? Because I
could like she was probably us.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Around that age, maybe like one, Okay, yeah, I don't know,
but we'll probably be there around the holidays.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
You're so brave because now you have to you.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Have to experience, you even to do experiences with your children.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
It's like even though it's like you can't like I'm
not brave, I'm just a mom.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Okay, well maybe that's the reality. I just was like
looking around at all these parents and like, you know,
one kid is having a meltdown and the next is
trying to run off, and the next is on four leashes.
And I'm like, I just can't imagine it right now,
but I'm sure it all just changes. When you have kids.
You're like, well, it's.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
You get like this stamina in you that like it's survival. Yeah,
I don't even know, but you have your moments like
I'm not like this chipper, amazing, happy mom all the time.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
And I don't think anybody is.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
But it's funny. I was at the school the other
the other day because it was picture day. By the way,
do you know Maxim is a black guy? No, what
happened to that? Was it?
Speaker 3 (17:59):
From?
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Honestly?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Maybe?
Speaker 1 (18:04):
So? His picture day was yesterday and he I was like, look,
just take your picture and we'll do the makeup. Picture
is that the makeup pictures, Like in two weeks, I
will be a lot better. But I just get a
picture because like at least we'll have one and then
for whatever reason, like let's say it gets the stomach
flu on the twenty fourth and then you know what
(18:24):
I mean, who knows. So when I picked him up
from school yesterday, his teacher was like, hey, Maxine didn't
take his picture today.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
He had a meltdown and and.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
It was he was just basically like really, I guess
embarrassed to like take it and mind you Like that morning,
I was trying to like tell him I'll like, let's
put some concealer on it or like some makeup.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
It's like maga b like no way, of course, he's
a boy.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Didn't want makeup on. I didn't push it. And then
she was like was like, oh, I was gonna offer
some concealer. But I just thought that was weird for
me to like put makeup on your child.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Like no, it's you're like, no, we tried that path,
but I was like.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I wouldn't have cared, but she said he can try
again because today was the upper grade. Oh okay, So
I did the lower grade yesterday in uper grade today,
and so she said we can try again and blah
blah blah. Long story short, he let me put makeup
on him this morning, so I put a concealer to
kind of like just conceal it. You could still see
that there was a black guy there, but I didn't
like go overboard. Sure, and he took his picture. But
(19:26):
when we were there, it's like I was like talking
to his teacher and there was like other teachers around
and blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
I was like, you guys are all so happy.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
I was like, it's like it's like she's literally, I mean,
she's like first grade teacher. So she's just very like
she's almost like a like a like a more tamed
version of Blippy, but like just very just like happy
and like smiley. And she had like a sweater with
like a bunch of smiley faces on and like, you know,
just like them. All you guys are just so happy.
I'm like I need. I'm like it's such good energy.
(19:54):
Like I'm happy being around you because you're happy, and
so I don't know, like it's it's not I'm like
we are like getting out of the house and it's
like stressful and it's real life.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
And then you get to school and everyone's like, hello,
he'son Mexican.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Hello, come on in.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Teachers, I don't know credible they really are, like I
could never but also maybe I should take a lesson
from them, like maybe I should be like one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
When she was like that, I was like, Wow, I'm
like I need to like check myself start.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Why am I so grumpy?
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah? I don't even have kids. Why am I so crumpy?
It's just me I'm looking after It's just life.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Okay, So let's let's shift gears a little bit and
talk about some stuff that.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Like everybody's kind of talking about.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
And there's a lot of good shows right now on
Netflix and Hulu.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
By the way, what am I missing that you're about
to talk about?
Speaker 3 (20:50):
You're missing like a lot.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Well, you have to be watching that show with Adam
Brody and Chris and Bell.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Oh, I am obsessed.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Nobody wants this?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Yes? Have you been watching it?
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Finished it in like a day and a half.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Oh, okay, see, I'm s's over. You're so I thought
you said you're so excited it's over. I was like,
what is wrong with you? I'm going to be watching
the last episode tonight.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
I'm very jealous.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
I know I kin have savored it because I didn't
want to blow through it.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah that's really good. Yeah, I'm smart. You savord it?
What else? Okay?
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Tell me lies on Hulu. I haven't you hate it?
Speaker 2 (21:27):
No, no, no, I watched the first season. I loved it.
I haven't watched the second season.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
You know why you haven't watched the second season because
it's episode by episode and so it's an okay, so.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
I'll just wait till they're all out and then I'll
binge it.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Yeah you could, because I watched the first three when
they came out, and then I forgot about it and
now I'm like two behind that, and so you are.
It's good and it's a little like dark. Yeah, like
it's not like a very fast paced show. So I
get sleepy when I watch it, but not because it sucks.
It's just more like I'm tired. Okay, Doctor Odyssey with Joshua?
Speaker 3 (22:00):
No, are you watching it?
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (22:03):
But you know this is right up my alley.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
I love nine one one, and it's exactly it's like
a copy paste of nine one one, but.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
A cruise ship.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
I mean, at the gym because.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
It's like, yes, look, I'm it's cheesy, but it's I
like it.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Okay, Okay, maybe something I'm really sure me?
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Did you watch maybe someday, but I'm really bored. There's
nothing else on the planet to watch. I will give
it a try, and I'm going to put that up there.
When do you watching the movie Clueless? Which you haven't
watched either?
Speaker 2 (22:40):
No, I did finally watch it. I watched it on
a plane and I.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Can't remember whatever.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
My point is that it took you ten years to
watch it after I told you to watch it.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yes, that's true. Did you watch Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I sure did, And I have a lot of questions
for you, like do you know them? Do you also
frequent soda places like that? And what is the deal
with all the hooplah?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Okay, I couldn't get through. The show's painful to watch.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Well painful, like like they're so I don't want to
Here's the thing, you're immature.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Are you associating it with your town, like with like
your city, with your with where you live? And you're like, hmmm,
this is not a representation of everyone, and so you're
like anti Maybe they just bend so silly, like that
would mean not watching Vanner Pump Rules.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
That's true. They're just very immature, like they're some of
these girls are my age and they're acting like they're
twenty two, you.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Know, because I feel like there's there's an innocence to them.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yes, as for the soda show, Oh no, I don't
know any of them personally.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
You have to get one of them on the show.
How this is a missed opportunity.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
You're correct about that.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
It now we're like just very stormy life.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
But that is one hundred percent. You got to get
one of them.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
No, I know, it is. Uh, they're very like they're
very like tied up if you will. They're very like elusive,
like you can't you know, because they're Hulu girls now,
they're not just social media girls. That's fine. Yeah, the
season too, so so good. Yeah, okay, well I'll work
on that. The soda shop, I had never tried a
(24:31):
dirty soda until someone dropped them off at work last
week and I did try one, and I actually really
liked it. They're just really sweet.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
So can you explain what a dirty soda is? For
people listening and have watched the show and have no
idea what we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Right, So it's like typically you might hear it referred
to as like a swig or a fizz because those
are the big brands out here. But it is like
if you take a diet coke and then you put
like coconut creamer in it, or like vanilla creamer and
then lime juice, or you could do raspberry puree. You're
putting all these like mixings in it. It gets a
little weird to me, Like I'm like, why are we
(25:08):
putting coffee creamer in our sodas? However, these people don't drink.
They don't drink coffee. Not everyone. Some people just like
them and also drink, but uh, like people of the
Mormon faith do not drink, so these are their cocktails.
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
It is crazy.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, so I don't even drink soda at all, so
when I have a soda it's like, who yeah, it's
like a treat good.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
So as if I mean in a candy bar.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
I feel that you would find these too sweet because
they get like it's interesting with the creamer in it.
It's a weird moment.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
I would try it, just like I tried dua Lipa's
concoction of diet coke and pickle juice.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
That's a version of dirty soda. Oh, mixing things into
your sodas.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
But it was horrific.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Wait was it? I kind of thought it sounded good.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Do you like pickles?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:00):
I hate pickles.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Did you do the halo penno juice too? No?
Speaker 3 (26:03):
They just did pickles.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Okay, but I'm not really a spicy girl, so a
helopanio juice I don't think would have helped the situation.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
I gagged, like I almost like barred on the air.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Have you heard about protein diet coke? It is a
diet coke mixed with a vanilla protein drink, like a
core protein drink.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
I mean, I honestly feel like I could like that
because isn't it kind of milkshaky?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
It's a little root beer floaty. That's what I meant.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
That's exactly what I was trying to say.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yes, so I also say that I haven't tried it yet.
I'm gonna try it this week. But at the Mormon Wives,
what's the deal?
Speaker 3 (26:46):
That was basically it? I was like I just wondered, like,
are they near you? Like where they live?
Speaker 2 (26:51):
They live? Like about an hour south of Salt Lake mostly.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Oh what's down There's what's an hour south of Salt
Lake Provo?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Okay, Oh, Utah is where BYU is where a lot
of people of the LDS faith live. And it's Utah County.
So like my radio station reaches down there, so like
it's close. It's like a it's like a studio city
in Orange County.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Oh so you say Santa Monica, Oh okay, I was gonna
say more like La Orange.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
County, maybe more La Orange County. But we don't have
the traffic you do. So I was trying to put
into that perspective. Who moves to Salt Lake City? It's
better here.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
I literally could not imagine live without traffic. I went
to our friends baby's first birthday on Saturday, which is
where I think Mike Maxine got the black eye, and
it just started.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Forming more and more and more and more and more
because there was like the moon bounce there.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
There was a moment where I looked over at him
and he was like standing on top of like all
of the blocked things and was like run like about
to jump into like the moon bounce with like the ball.
And then I looked at him and he had like
a little cut on his lip, and like, I'm like, bro,
I was like saddled down, like what has happened? He's sweaty,
he's all red. So I feel like something happened, like
(28:12):
there played hard and then it was dark and then
he got home and slept and that next morning Sunday
mornings when I noticed his eye little swollen and that.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Was the end of it.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
And it was like boom, sandlot black eye, Like it's
like a bad one. I'll send you a picture. Yeah, okay,
it's a good one. It's a good shiner. And he
doesn't have a story for it, like he literally doesn't.
When people asked him a school like how did you
get there, he goes, I don't know. I'm like that
sounds so sketch.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
So so bad.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
So bad, And I'm like can you just like I
do do you not remember? I was like searching the
cameras in the playroom, like did he fall? Like he's
so sensitive, he cries all the time for something. I'm like,
he's gonna hate one day that if he ever hears this,
but he does.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
He's a sensitive boy.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
And I'm just shocked that this injury has his normal
And then Michael was.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Like, does he have a concussion?
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Like he lost his memory, like all the things like
when we were googling, Like it was just so bizarre.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
I don't think boys had a lot of adrenaline.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
That's what Michael thinks too, because he's like I looked
at him at one point, He's like he was just
red in the face, like just like raw, like getting
a lot of aggression out.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I guess because there was a.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Bunch of boys there.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Patty's son was there too, I know, and he's a
little bit older, so like I mean, Maxon doesn't really
play with boys, like his two sisters, and he's very
polite and like, for the most part, not rough with them.
So there was a lot of boys there and they
were all just jumping and going crazy. I'm sure it
was like a foot to the head or like an
elbow or something. Then yeah, he just didn't even notice whatever.
(29:50):
But yeah, I was like, but you went to some
hardy you're talking about track. Oh the traffic, so they
live I think twelve miles from us. Tell me it's
going to hurt, I know, And I really thought it
would take us thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
It take us on it with no traffic. It's twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
And I was like, it's a Saturday, you know, thirty
minutes most it was like fifty five.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
To an hour, like it was a full hour drive.
It sucked.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
I was like, yes, man, that is the reason I
don't know if I could ever move back to La
that right there.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
It's sad.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
If I'm going twelve miles it takes me like eleven minutes.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Well, if we're billionaires and we live in a huge compound,
we will never have to Maybe we can buy Jalo's
old plays. Aren't they selling their house?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:41):
For this whole.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Divorce eight million dollars.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
It'll be pocket changed when we're billionaires, right.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Right, how are we becoming billionaires?
Speaker 3 (30:50):
She's got to keep saying it. I think, you know,
manifest it.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Okay, every day I will be a billionaire, you know,
getting delusion?
Speaker 3 (30:59):
Well, when I was like, did I play with my
barbies and they always had twins?
Speaker 2 (31:04):
What did you not know that? Well, you've told me that.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
You always like, yeah, they had sex and they did
crazy things and stuff like that, my barbies did.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
I don't think I ever made my barbies have sex.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
I think, oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
For that, it was like a whole scenario like Ken
got home from work and Barbie was in the kitchen.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
So we've had this discussion before. We don't need to
rehash it. But anyways, they had twins and you never know.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I mean I played like that as a child, and
maybe it just all like manifested slowly.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Okay, I believe in all that. Oh, the Menendez Brothers.
Are you watching that?
Speaker 2 (31:38):
We watched it. I want to watch the documentary.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Now I'm watching the documentary. I keep falling asleep. Oh
it's not good, No, it's good. I just we listen.
We do bedtime with the kids, and then by the
time I get on the couch to watch something, it's
like nine thirty and I'm just tired, and so I'm
out by ten, ten, fifteen. Of these days, I don't
my days of like staying up till midnight are long gone.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
For incredible show. I'm really excited to watch the documentary. Okay,
what's your take on it? Were you? Are you in
la and like, do you remember all this happening?
Speaker 1 (32:11):
I remember it happening. I was in Orange County, Okay,
And I was also like young. I was like I
think they murdered them in eighty nine, so that puts
me at like five years old. But then when all
the trial and stuff was happening, I want to say
it was like eight or nine.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
It even went until it might have gone till ninety three, No.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Even further, because OJ was like ninety something, ninety five
or ninety six, and there was like crossover with the
OJ trial, So there was a lot. Because I think
that's one of the reasons why they also like weren't
found innocent because OJ was found innocent.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Right, I remember that from the show. What's your take
on it? I'm just curious.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
I think they're crazy.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
I mean I think I don't know, Okay, based on
the show, Yes, I I don't know if I believe them.
I believe them all up until the final like couple
episodes where like he was being recorded by the whatever,
the girl on the phone, and then he was the
way he was speaking about everything just made it sound
(33:13):
like it was all a lie. And now I'm like,
now now you have zero credibility. Just like the lawyer said,
She's like, it was zero credibility, and I don't believe
maybe maybe it happened once or whatever, But maybe it
wasn't as bad as they said it.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
I mean, all of it's bad. It should never happened
fucking ever.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Sure, but maybe it wasn't as extreme.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Still bad, bad, but yeah, I think I want to
get more info on the dad, and so I want
to see what this documentary pools out because I want
to see like how bad of a man a man
he was, because there was rumors that like something happened
with like one of the Manula boys too.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
I was just saying, okay, not like I don't know involved,
but like business wise was involved with Manudo.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
He was in business wise.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
But then I think one of them, I know the boys,
came out and said that he did stuff to him
or something like that. So that's where it kind of
gets Okay, well then this guy did suck, But yeah,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
And do they get to get come out now? Like
I think they're so like messed up in the head,
Like it's.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Just they've been in prison for like thirty years.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Kim Ardashian's trying to get him out, right.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, yeah, well, well actually she went to meet with
them about some like green space in prison thing they're
trying to do it. I guess it's how prisons are
done in Norway.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
So I don't know if she's trying to get them
out or if she's working on improving prisons with them.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Either way, good for her.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
It's a strange turn for her.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
I will stay away from criminals. Yeah that's not my
cup of tea. But yeah, great show documentary on deck.
And then you know what else is coming out this
weekend is Outer Banks, so that's on my to do list.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Gosh, I have never watched that show.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Oh it's so good. Chased Stove. Check him out.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
He's Kensey Valerini's boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
I know.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
I just I tried to watch that one, and I
was like, what are we doing? Maybe I'm just a hater.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
Well, I feel like we've known this for a long time.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
That was best when you know you can admit it yourself.
I'm kidding, all right. I think on that note, we'll
leave on Erica being a hater.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
That's perfect. I'm gonna work on becoming more like first
grade teachers.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yes, let's try.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Let's practice just happiness, Like just let's try to smile
an extra five times today and see if that's possible.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Great, I'll work on it.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, I oh my god, Okay, I will leave with
one more thing. I was like doing something the other
day and like Asa was like, are you mad? And
I was like, no, I'm mad at all. I was like,
this is just my RBF. And then she was like
what's RBF? And I was like I should have never
said that to you?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
What did you say then?
Speaker 1 (36:00):
And I didn't tell her and I was like, I'll
tell you when you're older, and she's like, just tell
me now, and I was like no, and then we
just changed the sub resting brat face. Okay, maybe if
I ever come it ever comes back again?
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Sure that that's hilarious though, And I know I got
to work on that face. It sucks remind you of
things that you're doing that well you.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I mean never you even told me that. You were like,
you're so intimidating. When I was an intern, I was.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Like, why, I.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Cannot believe we are as close of friends as we
are today.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Oh my gosh. Okay, there we go. I guess we'll
just end on both of us being sucky. Okay, everyone
have a great week. Week White like, why can't I talk?
Literally nothing came out of my mouth right there. That
was not a malfunction on the audio. That was literally
me say you have a great weekend and we'll talk soon.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Byebye
