Yesterday I did a podcast called Does God Answer All

(00:21):
of Our Prayers? And the answer to that question is yes.
God leaves no prayers unanswered, and he hears all of
us in our prayers. He says yes, he says no,
and he says no just wait on my timing. And

(00:42):
today I want to continue part two of that podcast
because the first part was responding and answering the question
of does God answer all our prayers? And part two
I want to encourage you because sometimes the hardest prayer

(01:09):
response to receive from God is not yes, it's not
even know, it's the wait. And I want to encourage
you this morning because I had to wait a long
time for an answer to my prayer. So that's what
this podcast is about, a lesson I learned while waiting.

(01:31):
And maybe you're waiting on something right now. Maybe you're
waiting on God to deliver an answer a prayer in
a way that you hope and prayed for. So I
hope this podcast is uplifting to you in your waiting.
So hold on tight to that steering wheel, grab your

(01:52):
favorite drink or a cup of coffee, and let's bring
Heaven a little closer together. But then another position opened up,
and I applied. I talked to my bosses about it,

(02:15):
and they said, you know what, you're not going to
get this position, or are going to give it to
somebody else. They're going to get the first opportunity. And
I'm just like speechless at this moment, devastated. Turns out
this person turns down the position, the host of the

(02:35):
show vouches for me. I become that full time producer.
The host eventually leaves Serious XM and goes to iHeartRadio,
where I'm currently at and have been for six years.
The host asks me to come to iHeartRadio with him,

(02:56):
and because of that, I was able to work and
live at Serious XM and in Washington, d C for
three years, which was my original goal. My original goal
was three to five years. I want to live in Washington,
d C. For three to five years and then move
back to my original home state of Minnesota. And God

(03:19):
said no those first three times, and he also said wait,
he said no, just wait. He did not leave that
prayer unanswered. He did not leave me questioning like, what's
your plan here? Lord? Well he did, but that's because
I was prideful and selfish, not because I was actually

(03:42):
looking to God. I was frustrated. But then he said
yes on that fourth position, and then I was able
to move back to Minnesota, and then I found my
wife a year later, and then we were blessed with
beautiful children. So this podcast has a few parts to it.

(04:06):
The first part is God answers every prayer with a yes,
with a no, with a wait. He does not leave
any prayer un answered. So when you hear that he
leaves prayers unanswered, it's just not true. And the second

(04:27):
part of this podcast is to show you just how
faithful God has been in my prayer life. Through my
prayer life, God knew my heart more than I even
knew my heart, because if I got any of those

(04:48):
first three full time positions, I would not be in
the position that I am in right now. With the
experience that I received living in Washington, d C. He
knew what was best for me, and he knew my heart.
So maybe you're going through a struggle right now of

(05:08):
asking for something consistently and you're pleading with God to
bless you with something that you think that you need
or want right now, and God saying no, just to wait,
And those no just waits are so frustrating because we

(05:30):
hate waiting. We don't wait for anything these days. Dial
up internet is a thing of the past, so when
God asks us to wait, it becomes challenging. But our

(05:54):
job in those moments as followers of Jesus is to
mint under the authority of Jesus because, as I said earlier,
he knows our hearts better than we even know our
hearts because he created us, he's divine, he's God, he

(06:16):
knows us inside and out. So my encouragement to you
this morning is to trust, and while you're praying, trust
that He knows what's best. And it might not be
the answer that you're looking for. It might be no,

(06:38):
it might be wait. But during those periods of waiting
and hearing a no, I want to encourage you to
continue submitting under the authority of Jesus because there might
be a day where you look back like me and say, Wow,

(06:59):
thank you Lord for saying no. Thank you Lord for
saying wait because my relationship with you is stronger and
the outcome was better than I could have ever imagined.
Thank you and Jesus, thank you for making this episode

(07:23):
a part of your day. Hit that subscribe button wherever
you're listening, and I appreciate it. I hope the Holy
Spirit revealed more and more about our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ to you today. Everyone, have a great day.
