Speaker 1 (00:00):
Short show tonight post Rockies edition. Uh. And this is
the Draft special as it were, as we are going
to have kwe's coveragehow of the NFL Draft the next
couple of nights. I'll be on with Riot Dave, Nick Ferguson,
Rick Lewis whose warden's got some stuff she's she's got
let's get sprinkled in zax Seeger is gonna join us.
We've got the whole cast and crew gonna be broadcasting

(00:21):
exclusively broadcasting from inside the Valley. We will be inside
the building. We will be the only place that you
can get broadcasting from inside the building. And that starts
tomorrow about three pm whatever the Rockies finish up tomorrow.
But we'll be on site at three pm whatever the
Rockies finish up tomorrow to start broadcasting in advance of
the NFL Draft. We'll be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

(00:43):
If the Rockies are on on Friday Saturday, I think
we switch over to k HOW. But you can always
catch us on the stream and not have to worry
about that. Uh. And then so we'll get all the
programming notes to you and that kind of stuff. You
know what it's appropriate. But Mary drafts fromos Eve everyone
Mary draftsmoths Eve for those who celebrate it is the
day before the NFL Draft. I did release my one

(01:06):
and only mock draft that I do every year. Put
a lot into it. I hope you guys enjoy it.
It's one of those things, like, you know, I hate
the people that do like fifty those things a year.
And I get that, you know, some people have to.
You know, you're employed media and your bosses require you
to do it. But I just state that stuff because
it's so weird when I see later on those same

(01:27):
people that are forced by the bosses to do like
ten of these things a year or whatever, and they're like, oh, yeah,
I got that right, I got that right. But they didn't.
Actually they got one in the third draft and one
of their sixth revision and one of that. I just
hate that stuff. That's why I do one every year,
try to put the best intel into it that I can.
Last year's was not very good, to be honest with you.
That was the first year I finished outside of the

(01:47):
top twenty I think in in seven or eight years.
It was a bad year for me. So I took
some chances last year. This year, I tried to stay
a little closer to home with with kind of what
I know and you know, what I've heard more so
then try to project some stuff. I also tried to
match players up with teams, not necessarily because I didn't

(02:09):
project any trades. So I kind of more projected teams
than I did, and you know, and spots more than
I did trying to pick the exact trade and you know,
and all that kind of stuff. I felt like that
took away from the quality last year. So I stayed
away from projecting any trades this year and and just
kind of went straight up. So we'll review that here

(02:29):
in just a second. We'll go through all that uh
kind of stopp But I do want to shout you
guys out for listening. I appreciate it. I appreciate all
the questions, even if I don't get to them all.
I you know, I try to answer as many as
I can. And that's you, guys, are why I do this.
You know, I would be impossible for me to do
this if there wasn't an audience, right, So I want
to I wanted to take a minute and say I

(02:49):
appreciate you guys. If you guys didn't listen. If you
guys didn't support, this would be something that would be
impossible for me to do. And is uh, we'll call
it cantankris as I can get on Twitter a lot
of that's just an act because you know, people are
crappy to each other and you know in the cybersphere
and you know, so I tend to get a little
mouthy on there or whatever. The reality is, I enjoy

(03:11):
doing this. I have a lot of fun doing this.
This is a fun job for me. It is a
fun thing for me to do. It keeps me tangentially
connected to the game that I love of football, and
without you guys, that would be impossible. So just wanted
to take a minute and be sappy there and say
thank you guys, thank you for listening, thank you for watching,
thank you for reading all that kind of stuff, and

(03:33):
I really appreciate your support. So without further ado, let's
get into the twenty twenty five NFL mock draft and
I'll try to do I'll try to go through each
pick here and then sort of explain some things about
that pick or some other things that I think are
potentially possible with that pick as well. With number one,

(03:56):
there is no other possibility. It's cam Ward. It's been
cam Ward. I think tweeted in January that the Titans
love Camboard and everybody was trying to tell you what
Shud or Sanders. I will say that, uh, the moving
on from their general manager arelimited in any shot at
shd or Sanders. So when when they you know they're
they're their president of football ops and their new general manager,

(04:18):
they were on the same page here. This was going
to be Camboard is always going to be camp Ward
for them, and and so that's where that sits Number two.
With the Browns, I know their general manager really likes
Abdul Carter. I picked Travis Hunter here, uh, but I
know their general manager really loves Abduel Carter. I would
not be surprised to see either player picked. I'm leaning

(04:41):
towards Travis Hunter. And it's weird because I feel like
the Browns are the team they're going to misuse him.
The Browns I want to use him at receiver, maybe
sprinkle some corner stuff in, but they want to use
him as a receiver, where most teams that I talked
to want him as a corner and then sprinkle some
receiver reps in, so you know, it feels to me
a little bit backwards. But maybe the Browns are on something.

(05:02):
I don't know, but I picked Travis Hunter here, wouldn't
be surprised if it's Carter. I know that Jacksonville at
five has been on the phone bugging them about flipping
two to five because Jacksonville loves Travis Hunter. But I'm
not sure that. I don't think they're gonna be able
to get that done. I don't so I have the
brown sticking it to and taking Travis Hunter a number three.
I have the Giants taking Adual Carter. I think the

(05:27):
Giants losing or excuse me, winning that game that that
Drew locke one form against the Colts really mess them
up because I do believe they would want Travis Hunter.
I do believe they want Travis Hunter quite a bit,
but I don't think it's it's gonna wind up being feasible.
I think they liked the idea of Travis Hunter and
then coming back and gets you to do her later.
Maybe that was some kind of pipe dream, but I

(05:48):
do believe they liked that idea, at least in principle.
Came on Thibadeau is somebody who's probably not gonna get
another contract there, you know. So that's that's one of
those things that I think. I think they just sort
of find their way into a good pick with Abdul

(06:09):
Carter here, instead of trying to shoehorn something that maybe
they would have tried to shoehorn something if they if
they had other options. I just don't think there's other
options there. I mean, trade down, sure, but with whom
and for what? And so I think you're getting a
blue chip player here. I think that's good for them.
Patriots at four, I've got offensive line and Will Campbell.

(06:30):
I believe that's going to be the pick. I think.
I mean, it just makes sense. You know, you need
another tackle there to protect Drake May. And if you're
gonna build this thing out, you know, build it along
the lines and and go from there. I think if
they had the opportunity to get Abdol Carter, I think
they would take it. I think there are some other
things I think they would do. But Mike Rabel knows uh,

(06:50):
and he knows that you got to win this thing
up front, and you know, Drake May, they made the
investment last year. He knows that he's got to protect.
They know that they've got to protect, and I believe
that Will Campbe will be the pick. And at five
the Jaguars pick here. This is where the draft I
think starts to get interesting. I went ahead and put
Ashton Janny in here. Whether it's the Jags making the pick,

(07:12):
whether it's the Bears making the pick, whatever, I believe
the pick in this slot will be Answering Janny. I
do believe it could be the Jaguars making this pick
at five. I do believe it could be the Bears
making that pick at five. I don't believe. I think
those are probably the two teams. I don't believe the
Raiders will move up a spot, and I you know,

(07:32):
I've seen people talk about the Broncos. To my knowledge,
again this is to my knowledge that the highest that
they even made phone calls was seven and eight. You know,
if Ashton Jenny got into that range, and I still
don't think it's feasible for them to get there without
mortgaging two drafts. But you know, making calls seven seems
obvious because you have a relationship with Darren Moujie. Obviously,

(07:54):
I'm not sure the Jets are coming off that seventh pick,
the Panthers want to move back, and you could probably
get that pick for seventy cents on the dollar. But
even then, moving twenty to seven is a huge leap.
It would be one of the largest leaps in the
first round ever and would require multiple first rounders to,
you know, to kind of do that. So again, for
Broncos fans listening to this, I'm not trying to get

(08:14):
your hopes up there trading up for Ashton Janny and
or any that kind of stuff. I think they want
to know the price tag to see if it was
feasible if he started falling. But I don't believe he's
gonna fall. I believe Ashton Janeu'd be the pick at five,
and I would have had pensilvan into the Jags there.
I know that they love offensive lineman Kelvin Banks, and
that's one of the names. I think you're gonna hear
him here in just a little bit earlier than most

(08:35):
people have mocked him. Banks is a guy that teams
are very very high on, and he made It's funny
I mocked Kelvin Banks in the top ten, and I
still I'm worried he might not get to the pick
where I have him mocked to put that in perspective,
to let you guys know how much NFL teams love him.
He Kevin Banks is a guy who's been wildly underrated
I think by media fans. You know, he's viewed as

(08:58):
as kind of a right tackle or a guard, and
so you know, I think, Uh, he Janty I think
is gonna be the pick at five, but I you know,
Calvin Banks was somebody I think is closer to being
the pick there at five than perhaps people realize, you know,
coming into this thing. Uh, number six, I have the
Raiders disappointed that they didn't get Jant and going with

(09:19):
armand Membo. The right tackle out of uh, there's gonna
be the offensive tackle at Missouri. Pete Carroll knows value
of offensive lineman. John Spytech certainly was around with Tampa
draft interest in worfs. You know there they are keenly
aware of having great tackle play and what that can do,

(09:39):
uh for a quarterback. They brought in Gino. I think
that I think they recognize the value of that, and
then they can come back and kind of fill in
Pete Carroll's defense. Uh, They've got a lot of holes,
and so it's it's you know, anybody telling you have
to start here has to start there. I can't go
wrong starting the trenches. And so I you know, as
much as I looked at a couple defensive players here

(10:00):
with Janny Goun, wound up with Membo there at six
at seven with the Jets, I have Tyler Warren the
tight end up pitting state. That is what I've been
hearing for a little while there talking to sourcing on
that one. They flirted with the offensive line thing. They
could still go offensive line, but Tyler Warren seems seems

(10:21):
to be. They seem to be okay with the idea
of Tyler Warren. If those other offensive linemen are gone,
Banks would be somebody that you would consider in this situation. Again,
very high on him, but I think getting a Tyler Warren.
And I hear what people say about the first year
production of a tight end, I'm with you on that.
I actually agree. You go back and look, you know,
guys like Kupi, it's getting drafted. The early production is

(10:43):
not great. What I will say is that I don't
believe justin fields is the long term answer at quarterbacks
of the Jets and so having a tight end like
Tyler Warren developing and being ready as a plug and
play weapon for whomever the next quarterback of the Jets is.
You know, I think that's I think it's pretty smart.
I think he you know, getting a plug and play offense,

(11:05):
getting it built, uh, and then finding your quarterback and
plugging it in there. I think uh, I think it's
the way to go. Uh. I think the Jets are
gonna be a lot smarter about building on offense that
they built than they've been in previous years. And I
am not I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if Tyler
Warrem was to pick at seven at eight Carolina Panthers. Now,

(11:26):
the Panthers have not been shy, but the fact that
they want to trade out of this spot, they they
are screaming it from the mountaintops and they will take
a discount on getting to this pick. The problem is
going to be anybody there is. It gonna be anybody
who wants to come up that far and for whom. Uh.
You know, you've heard rumors that you know, Colston Loveland
could could be somebody. I'm not buying that. You need

(11:46):
to get to eight to get Colston Loveland. I'm certainly
not buying you to pay the premium to do it.
We'll see. You know, Loveland's got the shoulder injury. There's
some teams that have downgraded you know him and and
and medicaled him because of that shoulder injury. I know
people are saying it's gonna be I'm at the start
of the season, but I just have it on good
authority that the medicals there may maybe a problem for
for some teams. But we'll see if the Panthers get

(12:12):
stuck at the pick. I went ahead and put Jalen
Walker in there. I mean, there's a couple of guys
you could you could see them drafting. I have heard
that they're one of the handful of teams and I
think there's four or five teams that really love that
Roy McMillan. There's a lot of teams that don't, and
I'll get into that a little bit later, but there
are a handful of teams that do, and I've heard
that they're one that that could be. I went ahead

(12:34):
and mocked Jalen Walker as the edge rusher simply because
I believe the Panthers defense is worse than their offense.
Their offense is great, but their defense is sorely lacking playmakers.
And so I think Jalen Walker makes sense. Michael Williams
makes sense, But I went ahead and went with Walker
here just you know, from what I understand, they've done
a little bit more work on him, and that felt

(12:55):
like a better fit at nine with the Saints. There's
a lot of different actions for the Saints to go here.
If the Panthers don't trade out or whatever, you know,
and then this goes straight chalk the way I've kind
of done this, it just felt like Michael Williams falling
in their lap there the edge rushers the way to go.
I know people have talked about shid Or Sanders. I
don't believe she or Sanders can play for the Saints

(13:15):
at all. I don't not at not at nine, not
trading back in. I don't believe he's their guy. Just again,
based on conversations have had, Michael Williams is somebody that
if he doesn't go to the Saints, he's gonna be
gone in the teens either way. And the Atlanta Falcons
would love, would love to get Mike Halwaives, which sort

(13:39):
of is interesting to me because you know, we talked
about the Panthers. Going back, you talk about three teams
in the same division. Could the Falcons move up, you know,
innerdivisional trade with the Panthers and then leapfrog the Saints
to get that guy? A little bit of intrigued possibly
with that. I'm not buying that the Falcons want to
trade up, but you know that possibility has been floated
out there, and I thought that was that that's fairly

(14:00):
interesting at ten for the Bears. If they don't trade
up and go after Janny, I want to hit him.
Put Kelvin Banks in here. Again. This is somebody that
around the league is viewed significantly higher than what media
and fans would have you think. You know, team's internal
evaluations on this guy are a lot higher from what

(14:24):
I've been told than in what you've seen. And he's
rocketed up the mock draft boards as far as that goes.
But you know they view him as as a tackle
or a guard. You go back and you look, Chicago's
made an effort, you know, the interior that offensive line.
They had a Joe Tony from Kansas City, Drew Dolmond
from Atlanta, Donah Jackson at the right guard. But you

(14:46):
got Darnell right at right tackle and Braxton Jones at
the left tackle. Right, you know, I think is firm,
firmly cemented there. All you can flip him, you know,
may maybe you're flipping him to left tackle, but Braxton
Jones is the one where you kind of have a
question mark here and so it's to me, I don't
think he can have too many offensive linemen. I don't

(15:07):
think they can have too many offensive linemen. And you know,
we saw when Ben Johnson was in Detroit the commitment
to building that offensive line first and then and then
going from there. I know they're running backs. Coach Eric
b Enemy has a real tight relationship with Trevon Henderson.
Not a lot of people mocking that there, although I
could see it as a as a possibility, so you know,

(15:30):
something to something to keep your eye on on that.
At eleven, I have the Niners taking defensive tackle Mason Graham.
The slide finally stops. I think for the Niners, I
think he's a culture fit. I think he's the short arms.
I don't think they got to hurt him as much
as people think at the pro level. But you know,
he is somebody that I think could have that slider,

(15:52):
but he had him slotted in five to the Jags.
I you know, I'm not so sure on that. Obviously,
we put Jant in there. So with with Mason Graham
seeing him go there to the Niners, who I think
could also be in like well Walter Nolan situation, then
you could see Graham continue to slide. There's but I
do believe defensive line is probably where the Niners what

(16:12):
the Niners are going to be picking in this, So
somebody keep it eyeing there. We'll get to twelve through
thirty two in the second half when I come back,
we'll get to we'll start it off with Dallas and
we'll get to the rest of the picks there. I'll
roll through it a little bit faster, but I want
to keep giving you some some of these anecdotes and
some of the reasoning on this. So you guys are
listening to Broncos Country tonight and all Bright and we

(16:33):
will be back right after this post Rockies edition. We're
doing the mock draft we were up to. We're getting
ready to do pick twelve. Let's start with the Dallas
Cowboys here as we go over my mock draft for
the year, and at twelve, I've got the Cowboys taking

(16:57):
Matthew Goldon out of Texas. Plenty of chance to get
a view of him. He's got better speed. I think.
I think Dallas wants to injection speed. It's more speed
in that offense. Really, all you got is, you know,
I mean, ceedee lamb on the outside. You gonna have
to find another way to do all that could be
could be a team that's again on McMillan, the wide
receiver out of Arizona. I might be on the wrong
wrong wide receiver here, but you know, some conversations I've had,

(17:21):
I kind of believe mat Golden is the guy there,
and that you know that they'd be looking for somebody
that's a little more like a Z receiver than that,
an X receiver like Lake McMillan kind of is. We'll see.
I don't believe they're necessarily on a running back. I
used to, uh, the wild card here is some kind

(17:42):
of offensive lineman, you know, whether you're look at it.
I don't think is Abel would be their guy, but
you could see a guy like Tyler Booker. You know,
you know how Jerry loves his offensive lineman. I I
just I believe it's gonna be the receiver. I believe
it's gonna be Ma Golden. We'll see, uh how that
shakes out. At thirteen for the Miami Dolphins, I have

(18:04):
Johnny Barrett the corner. The Dolphins obviously need a corner.
They'll be trading Jalen Ramsey. A lot of people have
what's his face? Will Johnson the corner out of Michigan. Here.
Johnson's got some some medical red flags, and I guess
I was unaware that that was not already out there.
But yeah, he's He's got some some knee and basically

(18:27):
below the waste issues Medically. Doesn't mean that some teams
won't like him, doesn't mean that he won't have successful
NFL career, But there are to my knowledge, several teams
that have him flagged for medicals. I actually don't even
have him in the first round. To to put that
respective along with Harmon the tackle out of out of Oregon.
Uh so something to keep your eye on with those two.

(18:49):
I was told there were medical medical issues there. Baron reliable,
great corner, and I believe that he could be the
pick there the Dolphins. The Dolphins are another team that
really love Calvin bang I think offensive line is something
they could look at. Josh Simmons could potentially be a
guy that would be in play there, but Baron I

(19:09):
think he's you know, it makes sense relative to need
and everything else, what all said and done. At fourteen,
I had the Colts taking Colston Loveland. I don't think
it's a secret they like him. There are some other
players there on the you know, the defensive side of
the ball, I think they like. But the Colston Loveland
to me, makes a lot of sense there. Big pass catcher.

(19:29):
Does have some medical red flags, but I think the
Colts are okay with it. So you know, I went
with Loveland at fourteen. At fifteen, I had the Falcons
going with the edge Russ position. I think, all things considered,
they love Michael Williams to be here. I just don't
expect him to be I think they would love Michael Williams.
I think he would be their dude. I think they
might sniff around trading up for him. I'm not sure

(19:52):
that they do that, but they at least sniff around it.
And you know, in the end, could settle for Mike Green.
Somebody they did some work on out of marsh Green's
got all field red flags, no medical, but all field
red flags. Two separate sexual assault allegations, one from high school,
one from his first college in Virginia. I don't want
to get too much into the details on that, but

(20:12):
hopefully people can read between the lines when I say
I don't believe that that will be something that's potentially
recurring or something that would follow him. I don't believe
that's something he'll ever have to deal with again. And
hopefully people can sort of catch my drift on that
as far as that goes. I'm not saying that you
have to support somebody who's accused of that. I'm saying
that's what I believe on that, and just go from there.

(20:34):
At sixteen, the Arizona Cardinals one of my favorites. I've
got them selecting offensive line of Josh Simmons. I went
a couple of different ways with this. You know, I
think if Baron were there, I think he'd get consideration
on the defensive line. I think they would look, you know,
you'll notice I haven't called Walter Nolan yet. I think
there's a couple of defensive linemen they would they would

(20:54):
also look at. But I think end of the day,
having Simmons there to pair with, you know, with Paris Johnson,
you know, it gives you. It gives you long term
security at a position there, I think, and you can
you can use him in different ways. You know, early
on there's there's a mix and match with that offensive

(21:15):
line that you can make that work, you know, in
the interim. So I went ahead with Josh Simmons there.
I'm not one hundred that that's the pick, but I
do believe that that is very one of the very
highly inconsideration, along with some of the other names that
I mentioned there as well. At seventeen, I have the
Bengals taking Walter Nolan. They need help all over the defense.
Nolan on the defensive line, I think is a disruptive guy.

(21:37):
I think he gives you something that you can put
next to Trey Hendrickson and and and get even more
effective with his teams try to triple him up because
they just really don't have a lot of help on
that defensive line. Otherwise, I think this is going to
be a very very defensive heavy draft for the Cincinnati Bengals.
But I'm Nolan's the kind of guy. I think that
that makes sense there for them. There's a couple of

(22:00):
other defensive players and maybe look along the edge and
that kind of stuff, But Nolan in this particular case
made made the most sense. If Mike Green would followed them,
I think they might look at that. But you know,
in the end of with with Nolan, who I think
could be picked as high as San Francisco and could
you know, could go a little bit lower, I think
that this is in the sweet spot of his range
at eighteen. For the Seahawks. I have Gray's abel he'll

(22:22):
play center in the NFL at a tackle in college
shoulder arms, but the Seahawks are desperate need of interior
offensive line help. I mean, it was the it was
the problem last year. The lack of of offensive line
ability on that team really really cost him last year

(22:43):
and probably got throw C fired Ryan Grubb the offense
that he wanted to run. I mean, he probably get
himself fired from some of the things. You know, he
should have done better, But I think a large portion
of that was a lack of ability on the interior.
They've got Charles Cross at the left tackle, Abraham Lucas
the right tackle, but the interior is they get Lowomeya

(23:04):
Thelatimi is the current center, uh, the twenty three fifth router,
and then they got Anthony Bradford at right tackle. And yeah,
those guys are lower picks. I mean, every one of
those guys it was a four fifth or six round
draft pick. But and that's that's been sort of Seattle's methodology.
I mean, they did take canes of the third I believe,
but I think you need to They did add some

(23:27):
offensive lineman, but it to me this is a team,
especially with Sam Darnold back there at quarterback and Drew
Lock backing him up, that that needs to make an
investment to her offensive lineman. Could they trade down and
do that? Absolutely? Uh, this could be a trade down
spot and still gets able later. But I think, you know,
like I said, I was trying to match sort of
the the player to the team. This feels that that

(23:48):
it felt like the best fit. A lot of people
ask me why not Tyler Booker. I don't think Booker
is a fit. I mean, you've got Kobeat there running
the offense, and there's gonna be a lot of you know,
a lot of his own blocking, and and Booker's not that guy.
I mean, book Booker is just a he's more of
a big muller. He's not really his own guy, and
so he's slow, and I just I don't know. Zabels

(24:09):
is much more athletic, held his notes. A senior Bowl
just felt like the right pick there as well as
the Bucks. At nineteen ten Bay Buccaneers, I got Gee
Hot Campbell the linebacker. Then you'd help in the front
seven a little bit. I think that's one that that
made the most sense to me. They kind of they've
been talking about that. I mean that the leak coming
out of Tampa has been that for a while, which
sort of, you know, puts the hair on the back
of my neck a little bit. But Campbell's a guy

(24:31):
that has been tied to them for some time. This
isn't new information there At twenty with the Broncos. So
with a couple of different ways, I wound up going
with Trevon Henderson based on some conversations I've had, you know,
running back, it wouldn't be surprised me if it's Hampton,
wouldn't surprise me if it's Henderson. There's a couple of
different ways you could go, depending on how things fall,

(24:51):
but Henderson has a little bit more utility. I think
in a vacuum, you would take a Mario and Hampton.
And I do believe that O Mariyon Hampton is going
to get a lot of consideration, might even be the
guy here. But for me, in a vacuum, I think
you take a Marion Hampton. I think when you look
at this offense, and they've had repeated calls to Audrick
Estimate recently in his representation talking about their players of

(25:13):
the future, and to me, it feels like they're going
to give Estimate another shot. And so if if that's
a case, and you're kind of making Estimate the early
down power back guy, and then you're making Henderson the
you know, then you need a pass catcher, a back
that can run the choice routes and and and you know,
get isolated and uh and be and be out en route.
Henderson feels like that guy. His past protection is superb.

(25:36):
So to me, it feels like it feels like a
good fit here. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Henderson
or Hampton either way, but I would ahead and went
Trayvon Henderson here again based after a couple of conversations.
I know you've seen a bunch of stuff about receiver.
Maybe maybe what they've been telling the media for months
now is a lie, but I I tend to I'm
gonna take them at their word. Here, uh twenty one

(25:58):
Steelers shoot or Sanders slide finally stops. Shador was recently
on a on an Instagram and asked a couple of
Instagram Live and asked a couple questions about who his
favorite pairings were in terms of quarterback and receiver, and
he mentioned a couple and then he said, whoever's throwing
dk and and George Pickens the ball and kind of smiled.
And that's not what I'm basing this on. But Mike

(26:20):
Tomlin has been I don't want to say a fusive
in his praise, but it's certainly been positive in his praise.
I think Tomlin's the kind of guy that in coach
that could work with Shador. I think Chador is a
lot closer to Teddy Bridgewater than he is anything else,
But I think they can work within the confines of

(26:40):
Arthur Smith's offense. They will want to be a run
heavy team, which is something Chador is not used to.
But having those two big guys on the outside. They
can run and they can catch. I think that plays
into his hands in terms of, you know what it
is that he does as a quarterback. I kind of
like the pairing. So we'll see. But I've got Schidor
Sanders to the Steelers at at twenty At twenty two,

(27:01):
I have the Chargers being a little bit disappointed some
of these other guys didn't make it to them. But
Kenneth Grant, a former horriball guy there at Michigan, it's
a defensive tackle. I think he helps bolster that defense.
I think that's going to be a good thing for
for Jesse Minner, and I think as they continue to
build that out, they'll build the offense out as well.
They need a pass catcher they need you know, they
went out and got a tight end in free agency,

(27:23):
but they need another pass catcher at the receiver position.
I think they want to bolster the offensive line a
little bit, but there's there's some guys out there that
I think fit the mold of what they want to
do a little bit later. They took confident in those
evaluations and I think they can come back and do
that a little bit later in the draft at twenty
three of the Packers for the first time in forever.
I have them going a wide receiver in the first round,

(27:43):
and they stuffed the slide as it were of Tyle
Roya McMillan. You know, he can. They've got a bunch
of guys that are kind of those smaller slot or
Z type guys, but they need that guy over there
on the X and and well Watson was sort of
supposed to be that guy, but he's been injured, he's
been hurt and just just has not been the guy
and has not turned into the guy. Part of that's availability,

(28:05):
but just has not turned into the guy. And if
they're going to maximize Jordan Love, I think you've got
to get somebody out there you believe can be that
contested catch jump ball guy beat press Man. You know,
McMillan's not really the world's greatest separator, but but he
can catch over the middle, and I think they need that.
And it feels like that that's that's something that could
be their pick at twenty four. And this is a

(28:28):
prime trade back spot. I believe the Vikings will trade back.
I do the pick I put in here was who
I believe they'll take if they are unable to trade back.
And I put defensive back Nick im Wari. You know,
I'm a warrior, is kind of a guy. It's a
bit of a tweener. Very fast for a safety, but
kind of a bit of a twiner in terms of position,

(28:48):
in terms of being a safety, dyingback or what is
it he's gonna do. I'm not putting him in that
Isaiah Simmons category exactly, but you know, he's a bit
of a tweiner there. But I think that Brian Flores
and that defense can find use for him. I think
you can, uh, you can move him around a little
bit as a bit of a chess piece, you know,
early on while you find where it is that he
lands exactly, and then and then grow him there. I

(29:08):
like his I like his athleticism, especially the defense that
wants to send safeties after the quarterback at times. And
so you know, I kind of wound up putting him there,
even if I don't believe he's the best pure safety
in this draft, the best, you know, in terms of
athleticism at his position. I do like that the Texans
AD twenty five, Uh, you know, this one was basically

(29:32):
came down to two positions, you offensive line to go
wide receiver. I went to him with wide receiver with
a Mecca Abuka. Uh. Agbuka is somebody that everybody raves about,
you know, aced every interview he had. Wouldn't be surprised
him to go a little higher. But you know, to me, uh,
he's a dude that reminds you a little bit of
Stefon Diggs, maybe without all the personal baggage. And so

(29:56):
I think, you know he fits there in Houston where
they need somebody opposite Nico. That's the dude. And you
know Dell of course in the slot, but he's been hurt.
It just feels like that that Aguka could really really
be that guy, really be maximized in that offense. And
so I went ahead and went there the Rams at
twenty six. This could be a trade out Canada as well,

(30:18):
if you're looking for somebody, if you're looking for spot
trade up, get back in there for a quarterback. If
the Vikings is too rich and you don't want to
go there, Rams could be another spot here. I went
ahead and went with Maxwell Harrison the defensive back. Wouldn't
be surprised to see if they went Tyler Booker, you know,
on the O line, although you know he's not the
greatest fit, but they've gotten guys in there before. They
don't look like fits on that offensive line that had

(30:39):
worked out for him before. You know, a couple of
different directions they could go here, but Harriston felt like
and getting that corner position, that other corner position short up.
I know they went out and added with a spoon,
but continuing to add to that defense feels and keeping
it young felt like the way to the way to
go here. So when ahead and went with Max Harston
for the Ravens, lots of options here. Wouldn't be surprised

(31:01):
went along the D line, wouldn't be surprised if it
was James Pearce or Shamar Stewart, would not be surprised
at all. If that was the case, I would at
head win the offensive line with Tyler Booker. And I
get it. You normally you want a more nimble offensive
lineman there when you've got a Lamar Jackson back there.
But that this feels more like a Derreck Henry uh
and a downhill pick than it does a Lamar pick.

(31:22):
You know, I think they believe Lamar's got the athleticism
no matter what I think. If he you know, with Booker,
I think you're getting a big burly body up there
that uh that gives you the opportunity to you know,
to to to hopefully for them continue to get downhill
uh and utilize what's left of uh Derreck Henry who
who had a very good season uh last year. But
I think you can. I think you can do more

(31:44):
the guards that they have already. I mean, you know
vor Ees uh and and uh File both guys that
maybe were drafted a little bit later. But I would
not be surprised to see if Tyler Booker ultimately became
the guy that. Wouldn't be surprised to see if they
they drafted one of the wide receivers out of Iowa
state either just as a as a dark horse pick there.
So don't uh don't sleep on that. That's something that

(32:04):
you could that you could see there as well. Try
to roll through the rest of these real quick well,
so I get all these four we get out of
time at twenty eight up with James Pierce, the edge
rusher to the Lions. I think they have the kind
of locker room that will help him. He's a he's
a guy that needs a certain type of locker room.
So that's something I believe the Lions are on the
defensive line. I do. Here's to me has a limited

(32:25):
number of teams that he can go to because you
need a very specific structured environment. But I believe live
the Lions could could provide that. So when it had
mocked him their commanders at twenty nine, there are another
team that's it's I think they're looking at defensive line.
I think they're looking at running back. I went ahead
and went with running back here with the Mario and
Hampton and stopped the slide. But I would not be
surprised to see if they went defensive line there as well.

(32:45):
At thirty bills, I have them taking safety Malachi Starks.
I know get questions about this all the time with
you know they get wrap there, but you know he's
his contracts up soon. Just from what I heard, Starks
is just somebody that they're looking at. Wouldn't be surprised
that builds a trade out guy too, because we all
know how how he loves to trade out there as well.

(33:06):
In the last two chiefs, I put them on offensive line.
Josh Connelly wouldn't be surprised if that, if that was
it at all, you know, Andy, they they've got to
they've got to start putting assets into that tackle position.
They it's one of those things where they keep trying
to sort of patch work it that and it hasn't worked.
And I think they need to make a commitment. And
I think Connley's kind of guy you can make a
commitment there and then the Eagles to finish the thing out.

(33:28):
I put them on some mar Stewart. I think he's
a good fit for what VIC runs those tight fronts.
You know, he's not as productive as you'd like. I
think the hype is a little bit much, but I
think the measurables there or something, and I think VI
could get the most out of him on that defensive line.
So I went ahead and went with him there at
thirty two the Eagles. I do expect Jackson Dart to
be a guy somebody tries to trade in for, so

(33:49):
out of those trade back candidates, that's that's who I
would expect it to be. Just just as a note
there as well. Hope you guys enjoyed it. I enjoyed
doing it. Like I said off the top. I appreciate
all the support and everything else you guys. You guys
do what I do. It wouldn't exist without you guys,
So thanks again. That'll do it for the Broncos Draft spectacular.
We'll be covering the draft tomorrow right here on KA
