(00:00):
Welcome to it, Broncos Country Tonight. Benjamin Albright here with you. Short

(00:03):
show Rocky's Edition five six six ninezero is the text line. Programming note
this week, it'll be me soloall week, even live, as Nick
Ferguson will be out for the week, so we want to get on Twitter
and obviously make fun of Nick fornot being here and and and you know,
give them a hard time for that, as we normally do. We'll

(00:26):
get a lot, a lot comingup this week. I got some good
guests coming up, some good stuffcaught up Thursday, working on something Thursday,
you guys, I think you'll enjoy. So we'll see. We'll see
if I'm able to land that thatplane and have a mystery guest worth calling
a mystery guest, So we'll we'llsee if I'm able to land that again
in five six six nine zero isthe text line. But an interesting day

(00:50):
so far. In football news,we saw obviously T Higgins signed one year
excuse me, one year deal togo back to the Cincinnati Bengals. A
lot of training camp dates are comingout. The Broncos are going to have
the Packers in town for joint practicesbefore their preseason game. I am not

(01:11):
one hundred percent those are going tobe open to the public, but I
think they will, and I thinkthat'll be that Friday that'll be open and
available. So we'll see if thatends up happening or not. But you
know, as as we get along, we'll give you the news on what
days the public is allowed to attend. No, you guys love doing that.
Now they've got the ticketing system nowbecause somebody complained I guess a couple

(01:34):
of years ago, and so nowthe fire marshals only allow a certain amount
of people and so you have toget a ticket. They're free, but
you have to have the ticket toget in and all that. So just
something to remember that started last year. Forty nine Ers wide receiver Brandon Iyuk
continues to be at a contractual impassand got on Instagram to make a pretty

(01:59):
bold claim. Cam Inman of theSan Jose Mercury News showed that Ayuk posted
a TikTok video of a FaceTime chatwith Washington Commander's quarterback rookie Jayden Daniels.
During the video, I Yuke said, of the forty nine Ers quote,
they don't want me back. Danielsand Iyuk, of course, were teammates

(02:19):
at Arizona State. I Uk leftfor the NFL in twenty twenty. Daniels
transferred to LSU in twenty twenty two. I Uk is under contract at fourteen
point one million for this coming season, his fifth year option. He reportedly
wants thirty million or more per year. So in saying they don't want me
back, I might be saying theydon't want him after this season at that

(02:40):
price, not because you know, they won't offer what he wants or you
know whatever, But I don't thinkthat they're prepared to pay thirty million dollars
for receiver in that system, especiallygiven how they have to pay everybody else
in it. You know, presumablythe Niners would gladly pay fourteen point one
million for another year, but probablytwice that is UH is stretching credulity.

(03:02):
The better move could be to tradehim to someone who will pay him what
he wants. Looking at you,Pittsburgh, the the better time to trade
him probably would have been, youknow, before the draft. But you
know, at this point you're talkingabout future draft picks, you know,
that kind of thing. I don'tthink that, Yeah, I don't.

(03:23):
I don't think it's that that biga deal. I mean, the deferred
compensation means you don't really have ahandle on what you're getting. You know,
if you trade before the draft, you know what you're getting in terms
of pick. If you trade beforethe season, you don't know how that
team is going to be. Andso that's one of those things where you
know that there's a bit of anunknown, you know, as far as

(03:44):
as far as that goes the thethe actual quotes say UK said they don't
want me back. Uh. He'ssitting on a couch inside presumably his house,
but at least a house. JaydenDaniels said that's it, and I
you says, I swear, andDaniel Uh sort of lets out a shriek
of glee sam My boy and hI U smiles, and you know,

(04:05):
you go from there. So Iwonder if the Washington Commanders maybe try to
make a play there. Who knows. I you captioned the TikTok video.
I'm laughing, but I'm crying forreal, for real. Forty Niners cleaned
out their lockers four months ago afterthe Super Bowl loss. I you course
sunglasses at the time and didn't makemuch eye contact Kyle Shanahan and general manager

(04:27):
John Lynch have been steadfast all seasonin their desire to keep him. But
you know I've Lynch spoke at theNFL meetings in Florida, I think it
was three months ago, noted howthe Niners appreciate the heck out of Brandon,
who is a player. We wenta part of the Niners so working
towards making that a reality, andI responded with an emoji filled Instagram story

(04:49):
that essentially translated to money talks bswalks i Ux agent Ryan Williams has not
commented publicly on the contract talks, other than to dispute a report that Ayuk
had requested a trade before the April. Before the draft, Yuk hasn't shied
away from using social media's allowed toolof his contract hunt, though. If

(05:11):
you look at wide receiver costs aroundthe league, top flight guys DeVante Smith
twenty five million annually, Justin Jeffersonthirty five million annually, you know Ayuk
is coming off his second straight thousandyard season for the Niners, who generally
have annually rewarded homegrown talent with marketsetting contracts. In fact, they've done
that each of the past four summers. They're already heavily invested in the receiving

(05:36):
core Beyond Ayuk Deebo Samuel will maketwenty one million this season. Jawad Jennings
signed a two year, fifteen milliondollars extension a month ago. Ricky Pearsal
was the Niners first round draft pick, although he's yet to sign his rookie
deal. Ayuki is subject to aone hundred thousand dollars fine for skipping Mini
camp over what Shanahan termed contract stuff, adding what the process is. We

(06:00):
know what the business part is,and that's just how they decide how they
want to handle this week. TheNiners held their second mini camp practice two
weeks ago, and he posted socialmedia video and catching a long pass at
a public parks baseball field and postedan Instagram story of the mid Atlanta.
So, you know, we'll we'llsort of see how that goes. Washington's

(06:24):
receiving corps I noted as Terry McLaurinJohan Dotson. They drafted Luke McCaffrey,
the youngest brother of Christian McCaffrey. So we'll see, you know, kind
of how that, you know, how that shakes out as it were,
But as it sits right now,it looks like they're sort of at a
stalemate or at an impasse, youknow, with that contract deal. Of

(06:47):
course, we know the Broncos havea situation of their own, the Courtland
Sutton issue. Sutton did show upfor mini camp, and you know,
he's he's basically got two million guaranteedafter the season, so obviously that he
wants to top that off and getthe team back invested in him, all
that kind of stuff. We'll seein the end kind of where that's where
that's able to go. But asit sits right now, at an impasse

(07:12):
and weaponizing social media as as peopledo sort of these days. I don't
know if you guys saw this ornot, but there's a couple of coaches,
college football coaches whose legacy is beingtalked about recently, and one of
the things that that sort of cameup out of that is you've got to

(07:35):
have a seventy percent winning percentage toget in the college Football Hall of Fame.
And this came up when sixty percent, excuse me, when this came
up when people were discussing Mike Leach, who passed away for the college Football

(07:57):
Hall of Fame, and Mike Leachhas a what I say, a fifty
nine point six winning percentage, soif you round it up, he technically
hits the mark. But people werediscussing that, and as they were discussing
that, it looks like another coachwho has had wins vacated he is now

(08:22):
suing, has now created a lawsuitbecause his winning percentage dropped below that number,
dropped below that point six to zerozero sixty percent winning percentage with those
vacated wins. And that's former LSUfootball coach Les Miles, who has filed
suit against the school, arguing thata twenty twenty three decision to vacate thirty

(08:43):
seven wins from the program prevented himfrom being considered for the College Football Hall
of Fame. Now. In additionto LSU, Miles also named the NCAA
and National Football Foundation, which managesthe College Football Hall of Fame, as
defendants in the lawsuit. According tothe document, Miles asserts that the school

(09:03):
vacating wins to which he held propertyrights cost him a nomination to the Hall
of Fame. That's per ESPN's AdamRittenberg. Miles coach LSU from two thousand
and five through twenty sixteen, compilingan official record of seventy seven and thirty
four unofficially won fourteen and thirty fourwith a BCS national championship in two thousand

(09:24):
and seven. He has the secondmost coaching wins in school history, behind
Charlie McClendon. In twenty twenty three, the school vacated thirty seven wins from
twenty fifteen excuse between twelve to twentyfifteen due to recruiting violations involving alleged payments
totally near two hundred thousand dollars tothe father of offensive lineman Vidal Alexander by

(09:46):
a former booster. Alexander was ruledineligible and LSU vacated every win in which
he played as a self imposed penalty. So without those thirty seven wins,
miles overall record as a head coachwas changed to eight and seventy three instead
of one forty five and seventy three, and that reduced his winning percentage to
point five point nine to seven, below the threshold of point six to zero

(10:09):
zero required for the College Football Hallof Fame and to be eligible. The
criterion here states a coach becomes eligiblethree full seasons after retirements or immediately following
retirement if he is at least seventyactive coaches, become eligible at seventy five,
and he must have been a headfootball coach for a minimum of ten
years and coached at least one hundredgames with a point six to zero zero

(10:33):
winning percentage. The lawsuit argues thatMiles was not given due process by LSU
and the NCAA, while the school'sself imposed penalties were far more severe than
it would have otherwise received in aruling. Miles agent George Bass added in
a news release that LSU promised usits help in undoing this injustice and then
went back on its work. Miles, who is sixty nine, last coached

(10:54):
in twenty twenty at Kansas, wherehe finished with a three at eighteen record
in two seasons, and he andthe school mutually decided to part ways in
light of sexual harassment allegations from histime at LSU. During his coaching career,
Miles also compiled a twenty eight andtwenty one record at Oklahoma State.
There are several things here. Firstof all, I'm not sure Less Miles

(11:16):
would get the Hall of fame ifhe had, if he had that the
correct record to get in there.Second of all, if he had won
one more game at Kansas, thiswouldn't be an issue where he went three
at eighteen. I mean, Idon't know why he took the Kansas job

(11:37):
to begin with. That was oneof those things like it's just fascinating to
me what happened after LSU and wenton with less Miles. He got into
acting for a minute too. Hewas in these these really low budget movies
where he wanted to get into actingor whatever. And yeah, I mean
his career has certainly been uh interestingas far as that goes. Back in

(12:05):
two thousand and three, LSU theschool had requested that the law firm Taylor
Porter conducted investigation in a Miles relationshipwith female students after a number of accusations.
The investigation determined that his behavior wasinappropriate and although it did not find
that he had sexual relationships with anyof the women, and as a result,
LSU issued a letter of reprimand andforbade him from hiring student employees to

(12:28):
babysit and prohibit him from being alonewith students. So you know, it's
it's uh it's it's funny too tome to sort of see some of this
stuff. I guess part of thereason he probably took the Kansas job was
it allowed his kids to play forhim, because Manny Miles and Ben Miles

(12:48):
both played for him Merrit Kansas. He went three and nine in his first
season at oh to nine in hissecond season, and I, Yeah,
it's just fascinating to me to kindof see how stuff like this played out.
I don't know that Les Miles particularlywould have gotten the Hall of Fame

(13:11):
anyway, So the fact that he'ssuing for all this, I don't know
whether these lawsuits are considered frivolous orwhether there's something that is going to come
from it when all said and done. It's just interesting to me to sort
of see how a lot of thisstuff has played out over the years.

(13:35):
You know, he's had a seriesof controversies. In September twenty thirteen,
Sports Illustrated, which back then wasa reputable publication and on a collection of
blogs, published a series of articlesas a part of an investigation into his
tenure at Oklahoma State from two thousandto two thousand and five, and they
series alleged that he used a bonussystem for players orchestrated by then assistant coach

(13:58):
Jodah Forrest, along with direct paymentsand no show or sham jobs involving boosters.
He was accused of dismissing academic standardsto the point where players who are
otherwise academically ineligible, including having theirschool work done by tutors and other school
personnel. Rumors abounded that the stafftolerated widespread drug use among the players by

(14:22):
using a sham drug counseling program andselected enforcement. In the end, no
evidence linked him to any specific wrongdoingduring his time as head coach, and
he denied the allegations, but youknow, it's it was just fascinating to
read now. That was pushed backa little bit when another journalist sort of

(14:45):
criticized Sports Illustrated for any evidence ofinterviews with anybody but disgruntled former players.
So, I, you know, just another thing to kind of throw in
the to kind of throw in thein the thing. July twenty twenty one

(15:05):
article in the Casey Star alleged ata football player alleged threats and harassments some
other teammates. In March of twentynineteen. The program paid the player to
leave campus and take classes online fromhis home out of state. The article
alleges Miles suggested the players settle theirdispute on the practice field, packing them
against each other in full contact drills. They didn't do that, you know.

(15:26):
It's it's it's fascinating to sort ofsee all this stuff. It's it's
it's just interesting to sort of seeall this stuff and where in the pantheon
in the end of things less Milesreally belongs. Does less Miles belong in
the College Football Hall of Fame?I don't know. Mike Leach feels like

(15:50):
he does. You know, MikeLeach feels like he contributed more to the
game. Less Miles took a tookover a program Dick Saban built and sort
of just kind of kept his handon the wheel. I don't I don't
know that I'm sitting here championing lessMiles to make the College Football Hall of
Fame. Mike Leach, Yeah, yeah, I am. Mike Leach changed

(16:11):
the way we play football in theair raid, you know, I mean,
how Mommy uh and and that staff. But Mike popularized it, and
so I struggle with the idea thatMike Leach somehow doesn't belong in the Hall
of Fame. I do. Istruggle with that. So well, we'll

(16:33):
continue to see if either of thosetwo guys get in. They both have
If you round up, they bothhave the requisites, but less miles.
Of course, Suing in an effortto get the vacated wins turned back around
so that he can be eligible forthe College Football Hall of Fame should somebody
nominate him. Is it a BroncosCountry Tonight here on KOA ninety four one
to found News Talk Sports. Welcomeback to it Broncos Country Tonight. Benjamin

(16:59):
Olbright here with you five six,six nine zeros a text line. You
guys want to get involved in theconversation. It's not often we get to
talk about golf here on Broncos CountryTonight, but I didn't want to talk
a little bit about the US Open. There was a moment on the eighteenth

(17:19):
Green on Sunday, and the grandstands are packed, the rope line six
deep, and Bryson du Chambeau didsomething kind of uncharacteristic. He quieted the
cheers. You just punch to savehis life out of the sand nestling the
ball up inside the shadows the flagstickonly need a three foot putt to clinch
the US Open, and the massivegallery was affirmed behind him and shouting his

(17:42):
name, Channing Usa as he sizedup the putt. But he stepped away
and like a like a quarterback atthe line in motion for the home crowd
to kind of quiet down and tosettle down motion. And then fifteen seconds
later he drained, drained the putt, kicking off a rather roucous celebration lasted
long in the night, unleashed aprimal scream, and took the trophy on

(18:04):
a tour around the green, allowinganyone with an arms reach uh to touch
it and consciously or not, probablya bit of both. Uh. Dshimba
has his sort of hit on somethingthat has eluded every other player and tour
official in this time of golf chaos, and that is it's the fans stupid.

(18:26):
After after two plus years of gettingignored, dismissed or breadcrumbs as as
millionaires figure out how to divide billions, fans those that are still watching anyway,
just want to be acknowledged. Sowhen d Chambo tips his cap or
talks to the gallery before unleashing oneof his drives. He sorted he creates

(18:48):
more brand loyalty than any sponsor activation, and he fires up his YouTube channel
to try to bake break fifty fromthe front tees or takes us out of
off the rack clubs for a spin. He does more to grow the game
of golf than any tour led, consultant sanctioned outreach initiative. And most players,
whether by personal preference or the effortsof overbearing agents, brand management teams

(19:12):
sort of exist in a like aperpetual bubble, you know, rolled off
from the very galleries that are supposedto fuel the engine that pays the millions.
They'll sign a couple of autographs theyhave time, but more often than
not they're jumping in courtesy luxury carsand bouncing as fast as they can.
But Deshamba has sort of figured outwhat the PGA Tour and Live Golf are

(19:33):
desperate to learn, and that is, if you treat the fans like they
matter, like they are a partof this entire ecosystem, they'll be loyal
and they'll return again and again. And yeah, there's something a little artificial
about d Chambeau. A little toomanaged, stage managed manner. You get
the feelings practice these celebrations in themirror that he seeks out opportunity to be

(19:59):
golf's good guy by signing autographs midround or plunging right into a mass of
delirious fans. But who cares.Seriously, who cares? D Schambau is
connecting with fans like no one.Sin's Phil Mickelson, and even Michelson always
carried himself with like a smartest guyin the room demeanor that let you know
there was a definite pecking order inhis mind and you weren't at the top.

(20:21):
Chambeau, on the other hand, comes off like one of us,
a little goofy, little weird,a little too eager to be liked,
but fundamentally genial. He had quoteafter the victory saying Tiger was an idol
of mine. He is an idolof mine. He's my hero still the
way he reacted on the golf course, Payne Stewart, the way he did

(20:41):
numerous others that have inspired generations thatare now here have allowed that to be
unique and cool. From my perspective, I'm just passionate. I really care
about doing well out here. Showingthe fans aside of me that was locked
up for so long. And it'sa sharp departure for Dcembau because he's pretty
twenty twenty four persona was cranky, petulant, arrogant, bordering on condescending.

(21:06):
He left the PGA Tour and filedsuit against his old colleagues. It's demonstrative
gesticulations whether a shot or rule didn'tgo his way. There were many such
times. It didn't endear him tofans, fellow players, the golf establishment,
anybody. But somewhere along the line, something changed, and he was
quoted as saying, I've grown.I've realized that there's mortal life and just

(21:26):
golf. Treating others yourself first andforemost. Respecting yourself is super important to
being able to treat others with respectas well. So I guess somewhere he
decided to embrace positivity. And maybehe's happier out from under the cool kids
cafeteria at the PGA Tour. Maybehe's found his people on YouTube. Whatever
the reason, he seems more atpeace with himself and his game has flourished

(21:48):
as a result. It's worth notingthat you know, well he does give
off that Mickelson vibe. And we'veseen lately how quickly the shine can come
off of reputation with with public misstepsyou want to talk about, you know,
Michelson and all that, But it'simpossible to separate d Chambeau the player

(22:11):
from Dhambo the employee of a foreigngovernment. Uh. If live golf gives
you pause for political or moral reasons, you know, all the cute YouTube
videos and hat tips in the worldare going to change that. But we're
in a new era in golf onon many fronts, and d Chambau right
now stands as golf spotlight player. What does he do with that? That's

(22:34):
entirely to him. But I willsay from my experience, making fans feel
more a part of the sport isa great start. And you know he's
he's got a what would be theequivalent of a three shot lead on the
popularity leaderboard. We'll see in theend what he is able to do with
that. I you know, Ithought it was fun. I thought I

(22:56):
don't watch a whole lot of golfI find. You know, my dad
played golf and and he was kindof a jerk about it. He was
really good but he was a jerkabout it with me growing up, and
it turned me on off to golffor a long time. And so I
don't I don't play or watch asmuch golf as as a lot of other
people, but I was I wasinterested in watching this, uh this particularly
us Open. It caught my eye, and you know, and I'm not
you know, I don't know thatI'm a d. Shamble fan per se,

(23:17):
but I was pulling for the guy, you know, and so I
I, you know, I kindof sort of found it fascinating the way
he watching and going to a littleresearch, and the way he connects with
people and fans and and and whatnot. And I think that's ultimately very good
for the game of golf. Fivesix six nine zeros text line appreciate you

(23:41):
listening tonight. New NBA mock draftscoming out, and uh, Colorado's Cody
Williams is getting a lot of love. He's one of the most intriguing players
in the draft lottery, and theydo believe he's a lottery pick. But
his draft range is all over theplace. You've had people as low as
fifteen as high as five. Obviously, he still needs time to develop him.

(24:03):
He sixt' eight, one eighty five. He needs to add some muscle
and adjust to the you know, the physicality the NBA game, But he
sort of projects as a similar defenderto Jade McDaniels, and you know,
teams might have a hard time passingon that potential. Latest NBA mock draft
out from Kristin Peak has him goingI believe seventh, yeah, to the

(24:29):
Portland Trail Blazers. Seventh overall tothe Portland trail Blazers, So I you
know, he might he has achance to go in top ten. And
you know, and and really doingsomething Dalton connect and you know Colorado Colorado
Connections who went to Tennessee projected togo ninth to the Memphis Grizzlies. That

(24:52):
you know connect. I think everybodysaw him in the in the tournament.
He's an older, experienced guard, best scorer in the sc this past season.
He certainly got can give you solidminutes if you're an NBA team and
need of that. It's interesting howmany foreign players are projected to go in

(25:15):
the first round. By the way, Colorado's Tristan de Silva was projected to
go nineteenth to the Toronto Raptors. You know, he's a size and versatility
guy, can be an instant contributor. One of the best hybrid front court
players in the Pac twelve this pastyear. So we got, you know,
two cu buffs projected to go inthe first round. The Denver Nuggets,

(25:41):
picking at twenty eighth, were projectedto take G League invite Tyler Smith
six eleven, two hundred and twentyfour pounds forward, shot the three ball
really well. But the the gameof basketball is such a global game now,
it really is. And you knowit was that was kind of the

(26:02):
thing when when they started doing allthat. But the first two picks in
this in this mock draft, therewere as Aker, who I think everybody
knows, you know, he's outof France. He's probably gonna go number
one to the Hawks. And thenyou know Alex Saar, who's the seven
footer from from Australia, projected togo number two. And that's you know,
it's the third pick for you getto an American player in this in

(26:23):
this mock draft. You know,we don't know how that's going to go,
but it's it's just fascinating to mehow you have four players in the
top ten because you got Saloon who'sout of France, as well as guard
Ford. Four players that are foreignplayers projected go on the top ten.
How many great players in the NBAright now are foreign players? We know

(26:48):
that we got Nakoliokic here. Ittruly has become a global game and the
global phenomenon. It is just interestingto continue to see exactly how many of
these foreign players continued to be draftedinto the league five six six nine zero.

(27:11):
More trouble on the Kansas City Chiefsfront. A wild off season for
the Kansas City Chiefs in terms ofall kinds of off field incidents. Chiefs
defensive lineman Isaiah Bugs with his secondincident. Bugs was arrested and jailed in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Sunday.Per the records, Tuscaluska County Sheriff's Office

(27:37):
arrested Bugs on charges of second degreedomestic violence and second degree burglary. He
was held on five thousand dollars bond. Details of the arrest not initially clear.
The arrest for Bugs is reportedly hisfourth in Tuscaloosa in recent months.
Bugs turned him into authorities turned himselfinto authorities. On May thirtieth on two
counts of second degree animal cruelty. Was released after posting bond. In that

(28:00):
case. Tuscoplusa police say they respondedto a call that two dogs were left
on a screened in porch at aresidence previously rented by bugs. Per records,
the dogs were found surrounded by fecesand without access to food or water.
Per a neighbor who made the call, The gray pit bull and the
black Rottweiler mix were left unattended onthe porch for ten days. Court record

(28:25):
show the rottweiler was left locked ina metal cage in direct sunlight. The
animals were severely malnourished, emaciated, neglected when authorities seized them on March twenty
eighth. The Tuscaluska County Metro AnimalShelter later euthanized the pitbull, citing increased
aggressiveness and failed heartworm treatment. Therottweiler was under weight and treated for parvo,

(28:45):
a highly contagious, potentially fatal virusin dogs. Witnesses told police that
bugs had moved out of the housearound March nineteen, ten days before authorities
found the dogs on the property.Record show that a notice of termination had
been served on Bug on April fifteenth, and for back rent in excess of
three thousand dollars. Bugs agent TreyRobinson released a statement denying animal cruelty in

(29:07):
any knowledge by Bugs the dogs wereon the property, saying quote, under
no circumstances, mister Bugs condone mistreatmentof any animal. The dogs at issue
did not belong to him, andhe was unaware they remained on the property
in question. Bugs was accused ofshoving the police chief at his hook A
lounge. Police records reported by aTuscaloosa Patch show Bugs previously arrested April fourteenth

(29:29):
following an incident at King's hook ALounge, which Bugs owns. Bugs was
charged with menacing, assault and acity code infraction after allegedly shoving Tuscalousa police
chief Brent Blankly. For the records, patrolling officers initially approached the business,
citing an overcrowded parking lot, foundtwo hundred and eighty three people inside the
business that has a maximum fire capacityof eighty three. For the police,
Bugs became irate and walked away fromthe officers as they cleared the building and

(29:52):
cited him for overcrowding. Records statedthat Blankly put his hands on Bug's shoulder
in an effort to scored him backto the scene, and Bugs responded by
shoving Blankly into multiple officers. Scuffleensued and took several officers to place Bugs
into handcuffs due to his lack ofcooperation. According to the rest report,
nobody was injured. Bugs was arrestedand subsequently released on a sixteen hundred dollars
bond. In yet another separate incident, on April twenty third, Bugs and

(30:17):
his brother Datarian were accused of pointinghandguns at a woman during a confrontation at
the Hookah Lounge, according to policerecords. In his statement responding to the
end of cruelty charges, Robinson acknowledgedthe two prior arrests of the Hookah Lounge
and accused authorities of targeting him andhis business. This statement goes on to

(30:38):
accuse saying that these arrest is businessof misdemeanor charges, but no public record
was made of the arrests. Bugsasked for the public support on Facebook.
Public hearing via the Tuscaloosis City Councilschedule for June twenty fifth to consider the
revocation of their business license. Bugshad made please for his Facebook saying I

(31:00):
opened King's Hooka Lounge when I wastwenty three years old. I had the
vision. I wanted to break goodvibes. We are not just a hookah
lounge. We're a family. SinceI opened this place, I brought so
many celebrities and some of those popularpeople in the world to Kings. I
truly believe that I've changed so manypeople's lives owning this business, and some
can vouch for that. This placehas always been one of the safests in
Tuscaloosa. Why I try to takeit. I'm twenty seven years old,

(31:23):
And he goes on to just saythat he basically the support of his business,
you know, is good for thecommunity. Bugs played two seasons at
Alabama, won a national championship. In twenty seventeen, he was selected in

(31:44):
the sixth round of the draft bythe Steelers. Played three seasons in Pittsburgh
to Detroit before joining Kansas City's practicesquad back in January ahead of their Super
Bowl victory over the Niners. KansasCity resigned him to a futures contract in
February. It has been an absolutelytumultuous offseason four the Kansas City Chiefs.

multi car injury crash in April, when he was accused of driving a Lamborghini
one hundred and nineteen miles an hourin a drag race against corvette that he
also owned and fleeing the scene. He was also accused in an assault case
where the charges were dropped after thealleged victim declined to pursue charges offensive tackles.

(32:28):
Janya Morris and Chukawubuca Godrich were arrestedon mis demeanor marijuana possession charges back
in May. I don't know ifany of this bodes well for the Denver
Broncos, but when you combine allthat and then Harrison Butker's speech just feels
like it's been messy off season forKansas City this year. The Missouri Governor

Mike Parson was criticized after he commutedthe sentence of former Chief's assistant coach Britt
Reid, who is the son ofAndy Reid, after he was convicted in
a d w I crash which afive year old girl was severely injured.
Reid had a three year prison sentence, which is a plea deal down from
the maximum seven and it was commutedby Parsons after one year at four months.

Just just interesting times over there inKansas City wonders. You know,
it makes you makes you feel kindof good that the Denver Broncos haven't had
those kind of issues. A lotof the a lot of the Broncos players.
Zach Allen came out talked about howmuch he enjoys watching bo Nick's play.
Didn't call it, he said,I don't want to say some got
a football genius, but he picksthings up quick and it looks like he
could be the real deal. Sosome interesting support there, Zach Allen supporting

(33:45):
his rookie quarterbacks. As the Broncoscontinue to get ready for training camp and
figure this quarterback competition out, Iwould say that to date, if we
were starting right now, that JarrettStidham would be the starter, Bonix would
be the backup. But there's plentyof time for all that to change.
Stidham obviously has a year in thesystem, whereas bo Nicks is a rookie

(34:08):
and Zach Wilson it was just acquiredright around the time of the draft via
trade. So neither one of thoseguys have a ton of experience with this
offense. Stidham should be ahead atthis point. So other than that,
man, it's it's getting to bethat dead time of the year. It's

(34:28):
gonna be fun. We're gonna havesome interesting external content we want to have
for you guys as well, somestuff that's maybe not football, that kind
of stuff. We've working on somethings, so I'll lay that all out
later on in the week. Youlisten to Broncos Country tonight right here on
