(00:00):
Well do it Broncos Country tonight. But with all Brian Dick, Ferguson,

(00:03):
Grant Smith. Right before we openedthe show, Nick, you were telling
me about Nate Robinson. I hadno idea that this situation had gotten to
the point where it is, butuh, former NBA player Nate Robinson is
essentially dying his His kidneys have beena problem for a long time. He

(00:24):
found out about the kidney issues backin his rookie season playing ball. He
knew he had issues, but thatsituation has gotten a lot worse over time.
And you know's there's an interesting storyup on ESPN if you guys want
to want to read it. Butit's it's fascinating because Robinson apparently had been

(00:45):
doing dialysis for three years and didn'teven know he was not on a transplant
plant list until somebody had reached outto him. And the average life expectancy
for people ontalysis is five to tenyears, right, and so those people
immediately jump on a list, atransplant list to try to get uh,
functioning kidneys, and he didn't,he didn't know. Yeah, it's it's

(01:10):
it's fast. This is just afascinating story of uh uh, the medical
system, letting a guy down, you know, him not knowing how to
deal with this, all this kindof stuff. You can and this is
just proof that you can have allthe wealth in the world and not understand
what's going on. And uh andyeah, it's just this is just insane
story. It is an insane story. And you're absolutely right. It doesn't
make a difference what you've done inyour life far as professionally and how much

(01:37):
money that you've made. Being ina situation like this, it definitely humbles
you as an individual. And toknow that Nate has been undergoing this fight
for a lot of years, andto know, like I mean, you
read the articles and you read theinformation about the situation, to know that

(02:00):
every day is truly a struggle.I know most people will say that about
their given lives. Every day isa challenge. Every time I wake up
as a challenge. No, thisguy is literally fighting for his life and
the days are being numbered for himunless he finds a suitable donor to help

(02:21):
him out. And I couldn't imaginewhat it's like to have been Nate for
the past five years, let alonethe last twenty four hours. And you
never want to be in a situationBen where the doctor is telling you,
hey, listen, you need toget your affairs in order. And to
know this is kind of where Nateis teetering on and it's wild and you

(02:46):
know, some Nuggets fans may rememberhim. He spent a short period of
time here at the Dinner Nuggets andI guess it's claimed the fame plan for
the nixt plan for the Boston Celtics. Also winning your Dunk contest. Yeah,
and to know that after all ofthat stuff, this is where he

(03:07):
finds himself and he's fighting for hislife. M h. Yeah. Robinson
of course spent what three seasons here. He was the guy who was traded
for Jamiir Nelson if everybody remembers. But man, what a what a what
a fashion? I mean, he'sforty years old, just turned forty back
in May, and fighting for hislife right now with uh, you know,
with kidney issues. You know whenyou when you said that he's forty,

(03:30):
it brought something to the forefront ofmy mind. Two days ago,
Jacoby Jones, who I played withwith the Houston Texans for for two years,
he passed at age forty three daysafter he turned forty and one of
my Texans teammates call me, youknow so just joined it just emotional and

(03:54):
crying and when we just talked onthe phone, trying to help on another
heel in the situation because life isso precious. Some of the small minuscule
things that we argue about every daythat we have issues with our family about,

(04:15):
like these things put life and perspectivefor me. Think about think about
the most important argument you've had thisweek, and think about how it pales
in comparison when you're staring death inthe face. Yes, it's just like
you know what whatever at that particularargument you spent all day you were angry
about you put emotion into and howmeaningless it is. Because we can't put

(04:39):
a price tag on the value oflife. Of time, Yes, because
that's the one thing that we allwant more of that we don't have enough
of. It's time. They aremaking more of it. You can't buy
any more of it. Bit Coenis not going to be leveraged. It

(05:00):
is the one thing it is.Time. In these situations put things in
perspective for me. And when Ilook at my life and I say,
well, what is it that Ihaven't achieved? Right. You know,
I look at it and I say, you know what, Nick, could
your life had been much better.Absolutely, But when you really look at
it, your life wasn't really thatbad. And when you put it in

(05:21):
a perspective, because Nate's fighting forhis life, Jacobe, you know,
lost his life. I mean hedidn't even wait. He went to sleep
and he didn't wake up. Sonow it's changed my mind even more like
before when Dami and Nash passed andDarren Williams passed, it changed my perspective
on how I look at life. These things. It kind of escalated to

(05:44):
that point where I'm like, youknow what, Yes, it's not that
serious. It's not that serious,I think, you know, for me
having reminders like this because he's youngerthan I am, younger than you are,
younger than I am, it's youknow, it's it's a reminder.
I think I got my first,my first that I guess in two thousand
and three, two thousand and four, when I lost the soldier under my

(06:05):
command while we were in Iraq, specialist Jonathan Cheatham. And you know,
there's nothing that I think ways heavieron you than having to write a letter
to the parents of someone who youknow, was was was below twenty years
old, that their life is over, and and it puts yours sort of
into perspective the fleeting amount of timethat we get and how precious that time

(06:27):
is. And so yeah, withNate, I hope, I hope he
gets the I hope he gets akidney donation. I hope you find somebody
that's compatible. Obviously, the kidneydonor list is is like a mile long.
You know, it's tough to geton those lists and and find someone
who is a match, and youknow, and all that kind of stuff.
You can look that up. TheKiddie Donor Registry is the National is

(06:49):
the National Kidney Registry, I believeit is, which is Kidney Registry dot
org. If you guys want togo help out with that, there's all
kinds of information there on how youcan help out if you're interested in that.
But wishing Nate the best and hoping, you know, hopeing he finds
a way to to pull through.Here. Here's what I want to say
too, with that being said aboutwhat's going on with Nate. One know

(07:10):
your family history. Ask your parents, grandparents, if they're still alive,
talk to them, about things thatyou're predisposed of as an individual, as
a man, Hey kill that wholemacho babado thingy. Go get those prostate
exams, Go get a cholonoscopy ifyou of the right age. But make
sure you stay on top of yourhealth. And I know sometimes and you

(07:33):
know, my dad, you justsay it all the time. You know
he's gonna put his faith in Godand God's going to carry him. I
say, well, God gave youthe ability to make decisions, and he
wants you to be around for yourfamily. So make sure you go get
those check ifs. It's so vital, it's so important that we all do
that because we have people who loveus. Yeah, it's not just about
you. I mean, you gota whole community. That's it's that loves

(07:54):
and support you, whether you knowit or not. That's that's something else.
You know you've got, whether it'skids or brothers or sisters or parents
or whoever that want you around aslong as you can be around for them
too. Absolutely, get yourself checkedout, get get those check ups as
you and I say, give cancerthe finger literally literally, you know,
with those those prostate exams and everythingelse. And I shared to African American.
I mean especially you guys struggle highblood pressure, you know, among

(08:16):
other things. And so first, fir, all it's while being African American,
and there's this gambit, this listof things you've got, all these
additional medical problems and everything else youdoes. I mean, you got high
blood pressure, diabetes, I believeit's dipbeat us. Well, it's it's
it's one of those things. Andquickly, you know, I want to

(08:37):
bring this up as I was doingthese this research, as I tried to
go on my health journey, It'samazing how many people living today that's either
diabetic or pre diabetic. I wasjust like, wait a minute. At
first, I thought it was somethingthat was kind of genetically in my family,
but it's just like you talk todifferent people and you're like no,

(09:00):
was like, this is insane thatwe have this many people right who are
pre diabetic or diabetic. Yes,my mother's my mother's pre diabetic. I
got a thirty two year old friendwho's pre diabetic, thirty two. My
son, not on my son,my brother's son is has a juvenile diabetes.

(09:22):
And I'm like, wait, wait, wait, what's going on here?
Because this is hitting hard like itshouldn't be this particular way. But
once again, the moral of thestory. Man, if you're driving them
around, you listen to us.One. If you got grudges against anyone
in your family, man square thosethings away, man, because we can
only survive and have success in lifewith love. But you gotta go get

(09:43):
those checkups. Yes, you gottago get them. Speaking of those check
ups, one guy a big proponentof those cheofs, Chack Horrigan. I'm
gonna join us here bottom of thehour Voice the Rockies, Ryan Michael's gonna
do a side the numbers that it'sseven o'clock, we being seven thirty five,
and then we'll give away to Rockyexcuse me, giveaway to Republican National
Convention coverage from ABC News. Can'twait, that'll be uh. I'll be

(10:07):
going on the rest of the week. So if you uh probably know tomorrow
a good friend Mario and Tansey's gonnastop by. That'll be a lot of
fun. I am told that Grantdoes have rope, so we can tie
him down to the chair to keephim from bouncing all over the studio while
he's here. Can he adjust myback while he's in here to you know
what will take full advantage of allthat. Well, I mean the table
is long, Well, what's timeto bring you this? You know,
pretty horrible stuff. We're all gettingadjustments and you know, get working while

(10:30):
we're here. Uh. By theway, one of the funniest photo series
I have is what Elijah Wilkinson washere and Mario was like working on his
back and he had to like divesbecause a lot is a big man,
and Mario had to like dive overthe top, like you know, like
like top. It looked like theWWE stuff because I got like four photo
I took it like the super fastphotos, and it looks like a WWE
like elbow drop as he's like tryingto adjust Elijah Wilkinson's back. So just

(10:54):
hilarious. Listen, man, thereare high tables in here, so don't
try to relive that because I don'twant to see either you or Mario climbing
on some table jumping. I'll agreeon whole full Bill's mafia in here.
I'm just saying we'll light it onfire, We'll jump right through. It'll
be a lot of fun. Fivesix sixty nine zeroes the tech song Stacy
from Utah says. You never seea U haul behind a hearse. You
can't take it with you enjoy itwhy you can. Absolutely great advice there.

(11:16):
Stacy Brian wants us to talk aboutDeon Sanders. I think we will
once roly Bean comes on tonight. You want to stick around for that.
Got a lot of good stuff comingyour way Tonight's Brandon Ayuk has officially requested
a trade from the forty nine ers, which is hilarious because when I reported
this back in March April, andeverybody on the internet said I was making
stuff up. Uh, the linefor the apology starts back over there.

(11:37):
Keep that at makeout apology energy matchthe attack energy. It's all I'm saying
on that. I don't think thathe's a candidate for the Denver Broncos based
on people I talked to, althoughthe Vegas odds seem to indicate that they
would be in the mix. Ido believe Pittsburgh and Washington would be the
two top targets there. Well, that's obvious because it's the thing when you
look at Pittsburgh and their roster andwhat they did at the quarterback position with

(11:58):
Russ and Justin Fields. They didthat to kind of give themselves an offensive
boost. And George Pickens, it'skind of like they're there their only top
wide receiver and he's still the youngwide receiver. So throwing Brandy and You
into that mix that will work wellbecause if you look at the history of
the Pittsburgh still is it's not justthe fact that they played great defense and
they run the ball well in theirteam's history, but you just look at

(12:22):
the number of wide receivers that havecome through that organization, and he could
be one of those guys. Now, when you think about the Washington football
team and the Commanders, that isMartin Mayhew and Adam Peters, two guys
I know very well. And Adamwas there when Brendan and You was selected.

(12:43):
And they got Jayden Daniels, right, I mean Jaydon Daniels went to
Arizona State and who to Arizona State. And that's what you do. Just
the Brougles had bow Knicks and theyhad Troy Franklin. Right, Let's let's
not make you know, uh uh, you know, like make this some
kind of math equation that we can'tsolve. You get a guy at the

(13:05):
quarterback and you get someone that he'sfamiliar with. So I don't know if
I either of those teams to beable to pull it off. But for
me, I would love to seeBrandon and you link up with Adam Peters
again. You know, we needto do what's that We need to call
our inside man of Washington. No, we need to call coach. No,
we need right now, call himdirect. It's not tampering. It's

(13:28):
just between you and me and everybodylistening. I texted him earlier in the
week, but he didn't get backto him. Yeah, I'm still wait
for it. So he sent usthe text because he got the tattoo right,
you're sitting in the group chat,he says the text, and he
got the tattooed. It was likepix er didn't happen. He wouldn't show
him, like did you get acrappy tattoo? You know what? Since
coach Bergano uh stopped coming on theshow because he got a job with the

(13:48):
Commander's big up with him, Uh, every now and again I would text
him and then it just kind oflike, you know, a couple of
days past, well, I tellyou what, when Boston was in the
playoffs, he wouldn't stop texting me. It stop texting Yes, And then
now we're getting close the tranding camp. Now he's going there with Doc Third.
I was getting live texts of thegame as it's a kid and I'm

(14:11):
like, bro, I'm watching iton TV. Yes, and he's seeing
a screenshot of Jason Tatum right.I'm just I'm like, man, this
is like I'm like, dude, this is so random. Ave I appreciate
his troll game because Coachmgana's troll gameis a plus. It really is like
it's it's like laid back trolling, like he's just sitting your stuff and then
just kind of kind of lets itsit there for a while. He's like,
hey, Nick, look at this. We need to uh, that's

(14:33):
what we need to do, though. We need to we need to get
him on like this week for justfor a second. Well because now we
got it's it's things because now wegot to go through Commander's PR to make
sure we get permission to talk tohim or whatever. But they're like,
he's totally down. It's just wegot to go through there like PR or
whatever. So which is lame, man, because they're like, why does
a Broncos Station one. I'm like, man, it's our dude. He
was on our show. That's ourguy. Man, that's my dude.

(14:56):
I love being around coach Bugano andhaving him mom talk about football and you
can tell genuinely he loves the gameof football. He loves coaching that he
loves being around it. He lovesseeing men succeed at the game of football.
And you know, I'm rooting forhim. I mean, with Pigano
being there, Dan Quinn another guythat that I know, Martin and Adam

(15:22):
Peters, I want to see thoseguys definitely succeed. Yeah, I mean,
secretly, not so secretly, I'mrooting for Washington this year. Not
if they ever you know, ifthey ever intersect with the Broncos, I'm
not, but I'm rooting for I'mrooting for Washington, you know, and
just you know all the way becauselike we got a bunch of dudes over
there. I don't know Mayhew atall. I know Peter's barely, but
I know Dan, and I knowyou know Pegs. There's a couple other

(15:43):
guys over there that I know, and you know, I'm rooting for him.
It just seemed like, you know, in the in the whole sports
game, it's like, well, you come across people, you build these
bonds and these friendships, and sometimessome fans like, no, you can't
root for them. I'm like why, Yeah, That's what I was trying
to say, Like when I don'treally have a football team, like I

(16:03):
root for my friends. You know, it's like I'm rooting for I'm rooting
for for John down there in Arizona. You know, he's head coach none
of the Cardinals. Now I'm rootingfor for Shane up there in India.
I'm rooting for Pack. I mean, I'm root for these dudes because you
know, I know them so likeI want them to succeed, except when
they play the Broncos of course, like like tom pre season game, I
don't exactly top both my DV coachonder Neal par Sentles. Yeah, and

(16:25):
he's a head coach for the sameBay Buccaneers. I want to see him
succeeded, right, you want youwant to see your friends succeed ectly?
Not you, I'll tell you this, They're not your friends if you want
to succeed, bro, I waswatching what they do wrong to me?
Man, I was watching, Uh, I was watching reruns of Chappelle.
The Haters ball The Biggest Hated theMississippi, The Haters of the Player,

(16:49):
Haters ball Man. I could Iwas, I could not stop laughing.
He's just watching it again for thefirst time. I wist, what can
I say about the Coop that there'snot already been said about Afghanistan? It's
bombed out the package. I waslike, to just come on. I
was like, dude, that wasthe greatest show man, so good.

(17:11):
Sam Jackson, Beer, Yeah,Charlie Murphy and every skit, especially the
Prince basketball scene. So here's thefunny thing. A lot of people don't
remember, don't realize Bill Burr wasin so many of those was nobody had
hair. I don't remember that he'sin the Sam Jackson, but he's the
one who says, I'll have aSam Jackson. Here's the white guy in
the Racial Draft, the White Delegation, wille He was in a bunch of

(17:34):
those catches. Bill Burr was,you know, back when he had air
was really young. If you're listeningto us now, you're millennial and you've
never seen The Chappelle Show, yougot to watch it from the opening sketch.
Yes, it was the sketch thathe opened with. I was like,
that was that was black white supremacist. I mean that was all television
due. It was like some ofthose things you couldn't do, and today's

(17:57):
television you couldn't do him. Now, great, you everybody should watch that.
We gotta hit a break, wecome back. Jack Corgan joins us.
You listen to Broncos Country, notKAA bases loaded, Rockies down.
Aron McMahon drives it deep break fail. How about a rock Off Grand Slam
touch of all Time? Ryan McMahon, Welcome back to it, Broncos Country

(18:25):
tonight, Benjamin ol Brighten, NickFerguson, Grant Smith here with you,
fucking Colorado Rockies on KOA powered byChevron Colorado, the human Energy Company,
committed to our local communities and safelydelivering affordable, reliable, ever cleaner energy.
Jack, how you doing this evening? I am great, guys,
And how is everybody? They're excitedto have all of these things converging.

(18:47):
You know, baseball, football trainingcamp coming up, the Olympics. It's
a great time to be a sportsfan. Yeah, yeah, it really
is, and looking forward to allthat effect our own Steve Atwater's got a
relation and that's I think going tobe in the Olympics that we're looking forward
to rooting him on as well.Rocky season this year not exactly what the

(19:07):
fans had hoped so far, butthere are some I don't know, I
don't want to call it optimistic moments, but certainly some players here that look
like that there's enough to maybe buildaround. Are you sensing that there's perhaps
an optimism going forward to the nextfew years with this organization, Yeah,
I do, Benjamin. I thinkin part they have answered some questions about

(19:30):
building blocks. I mean, theyreally thought Ezekil Coobart had a chance to
be a star, and we're seeingthat unfold. Ryan McMahon was challenged to
kind of take over leadership of thisteam and in a lot of ways,
and Max done that, having obviouslyan All Star season for him. I

(19:52):
think Brenton Doyle has given them probablymore than they thought. They thought he
was going to be a really gooddefender and a decent hitter. It turns
out he's a really good defender andhe's turning into a really good hitter.
So you have that. Victor Vodniklooks like he's a keeper. I love

(20:14):
his sort of you know, Idon't care give me the ball, I'm
gonna get you approach, you know. And getting Marquez back and getting Freeland
back, I mean, I thinkthe second half is going to be more
fun. There's there are holes tobe filled, there's no question of that.
But I think they feel better aboutwhat's coming from the minor league system

(20:38):
and what some of the young guyshave already done here at the big league
level. Well, we look atthe Rockies. The biggest thing that most
of us have spoke about for thepast couple of years had to do with
a lot of their pitching. Butthe draft was just a couple of days
ago, and they chose a rookie, Charlie Condon, who's a third baseman,

(20:59):
and I know he's known as beinga slugger. But is this the
case with the Rockies and saying, you know what, we know that we're
not going to get great pitching,so we're going to try to load up
on sluggers. Do you think thatthat was the mentality as far as the
draft pick was concerned. Well,Nick, you know, I mean last
year they really loaded up on pitchersthey took a whole bunch of college pitchers

(21:22):
and really did some of that intwenty twenty two as well, And unfortunately
in terms of some of the pitchingdevelopment was we had the four top pitching
prospects all have Tommy John surgery lastyear, which delays, you know,
basically a year and a half twoyears their development, unfortunately. But I

(21:47):
think this year there were some outstandingpitchers, a couple of them in that
opening round. But I think theRockies got the steel of the draft.
I mean, to people I've talkedto Tod the information I've gathered on my
own, Charlie Condon was the bestplayer in the draft. You can argue

(22:10):
the Bizangna kid from Oregon State aterrific player, but Charlie Condon really checks
off all the boxes. You know, you're talking about a kid who was
a walk on turning out to bethe Golden Spikes Award winner, which is
Baseball's equivalent of the Heisman, andhe wasn't going to be there for the
Rockies. I mean, people thoughtCleveland was going to take him, and

(22:33):
then they said, well, ifCleveland didn't take him, while the Reds
are certainly going to take him,and the Rockies probably would have taken Chase
Burns, the pitcher from wake Forest, but when the Reds took Burns,
you know, Condon fell in theirlap, which was outstanding. And I
think a guy who you know,I don't want to say he's going to

(22:57):
be here next year, but he'sa guy like a couple of those young
players that the Orioles have drafted inthe last couple of years. He's coming
quickly. He's already very polished. And to have a hitter with his kind
of potential, you can never haveenough hitters. You can never have enough

(23:17):
pitching, but you can never haveenough hitters too, especially if you're pitching's
scuffling at times, you just outslugpeople. So I thought from the draft
perspective, it was great and justoff the top of my head, I
can't remember his name, but inthe compensation round between rounds one and two,

(23:37):
they took a young man out ofIowa former football players. So we
got to like that guys a formerfootball player at Iowa wide receiver who some
people thought should have been a firstround pick, you know, like in
the teams the mid twenties. Sohe's a guy that might be that it's
hard to say sleep or somebody pickedup high, but a guy that not

(24:02):
as many people know about who couldturn out to be being impactful for this
team. Talking with Jack Corrigan, voice of the Rockies Real Quick Guys,
Quinn Miners has agreed to a fouryear, eighty million dollar extension. We'll
get you all the details on thatcoming up shortly. But Jack, I
want to ask you about Michael Toliobecause you talked about slugging and man,
that guy can can absolutely rip thecover off of baseball. But bat in

(24:23):
one ninety seven on the season. What's it going to take for him to
get that batting garbage up to anacceptable level where he can be the future
first baseman for the Colorado Rockies.Yeah, that's that's a great question right
now, Ben, is he goingto be the next Joey Gallo who hits
home runs and not much else,or is he a guy you know,

(24:48):
he doesn't have to be a threehundred hitter, but you'd like him to
be, you know, at leastin the two fifty range. It's it's
kind of remarkable he has more homeruns than he has and that just doesn't
happen in baseball. But he doeshave that incredible raw power from both sides

(25:08):
of the plate, being a switchhitter of something certainly, and in Michael's
favor, the year we're having, they can let him go out there and
play and hopefully start to figure outsome things in terms of batting average beyond
the power. All you gotta dois look at, you know, on
every player's different guys. But youknow, Brenton Doyle hit two oh four

(25:33):
last year and he had to workto get above two hundred with a good
September. And now you're talking abouta guy hitting two seventy five to eighty
with all the other things that hehas. So perhaps Totyo, who was
the top pick of the Rockies theyear he was drafted, you know,
maybe he finds enough to go alongwith that rob power to be a guy

(25:56):
that really can be a benefit tothe ball club. Well, well,
Jack, here is an unrelated Rockiesquestion. But we are sitting and watching
as an All Star we kind of, uh, kind of comes to some
kind of conclusion. And I've alwaysthought, you know, every league has
an All Star Game, but butI wanted to ask you more specifically,

(26:19):
what is it about Baseball in theAll Star Game. That makes their game
probably a little more superior than anyof the other professional leagues. Yeah,
you know, that's it, youknow the big I get that question to
ask a lot. I mean,I think from the NBA perspective, guys
just want to show off their offensiveskills and defense kind of becomes oh,

(26:45):
by the way thing. And inthe NFL US now they're just playing flag.
But it was always you know thenature of the of the sport where
you're a play away from a devastatinginjury and some guy doesn't want to do
it at an All Star game oryou know for sure Baseball, yeah,

(27:07):
I mean, you could have aninjury and all that, but I mean
you can't play the game without allthe elements being there, you know,
the offense and pitching at defense. And I think that's why, naturally it
ends up being a more interesting gameto watch the stars of the game go
at it against each other. Jack, have you seen these All Star heuter

(27:33):
forms here that they've been rolled out. I kind of like the you know,
I kind of like the the fonts, the hats and all that,
but these colors are bizarre to me. I don't know, if you've seen
them or not. I have notan off day. On National Grandson's Day,
I drove up to Fort Collins toplay golf with my two grandsons and
my son in law and working myway back now to Denver. But for

(27:59):
me, with the uniforms, theycan kind of dazzle them up a little
bit if they want to. ButI wish guys were wearing their team uniforms.
I think it would still, youknow, make some exotic rocket uniform
you know, like the City Connectsor something else that that Ryan McMahon would
be wearing rather than one that saysNational or National League or whatever it says

(28:23):
on the jersey. For me,that was always one of the things I
kind of like to see all thedifferent uniforms playing at the same time,
you know, all the different colors. I always thought that was the best
part about the All Star Games froma uniform perspective. But then again,
marketing is a big things, gentlemen. We know that, right. I

(28:45):
gotta sell jerseys, right Jack.Yeah, these are baby blue and salmon.
It looks like and it's a littleI don't know, it's a little
off putting to me, but Ido like the I like the style of
I just don't like the colors,So we'll see anyway, Jack, we
certainly appreciate it. We got tohit a break, but we always appreciate
it. You On, it's spenttoo long. We need to do it
again soon, my friend. Thatsounds great. And hey, Nick,
give me a call. I'm expectingit to join us, so you can

(29:07):
get that. Birch eide luck withJerry and me. Absolutely, we're gonna
make it. We're gonna make ita trip. We're gonna make this happen.
Okay, sounds good. Guys, all right, take care, Jack
Corgan, Jack Voice of the Rockies, Welcome back to it, Broncos Country
Tonight, Benjamin ol Brighten, NickFerguson, Grant Smith here with you,
guys. Quinn Miners, Quinn Minorswas a huge deal. Has signed a

(29:29):
huge extension here. It is afour year, eighty million dollar extension.
It's like forty five million guaranteed, twenty seven million through the first year.
Makes him tied for the third highestpaid guard in the NFL, behind Landon
Dickerson and Clif Chris Linstrom, tiedwith Robert Hunt and Quentin Nelson of the
Colts at twenty million dollars per year. The Denver Broncos offensive line is getting

(29:52):
pu up, up up up up, pup up paid. Put the money
in the bag. You got mcglinchyover there getting paid. You got Quentin
getting paid. You've got Ben Powersgot paid. Bowle's getting paid. The
center is the only guy over thereand not get paid. Kushbur's getting paid
by the Titans. I mean,I know what we look at Quinn Mian
is the first thing we see ishis belly. So right now, when

(30:15):
you go to training camp and yousee him, what you say to him
is get in my belly. That'swhat you said. He's getting them buckets
right now. I'll never forget whenwhen he was drafted, I was on
Live with with Ryan Dave big Alwere covering the draft. We do here
on Kawa and uh because Dave andand how we're not familiar with him out
of U double white Water, AndI just remember his assistant offensive line coach

(30:40):
from college had warned me two yearsahead of time, Hey, this dude
is gonna be it. He's gonnabe it. You need to keep your
eye on this. This guy's gonnabe something. So we interviewed Quinn Ryan
and I did about a month beforethe draft. Month and a half before
the draft, we got the BCTbump you know, got right from Mother
Broncos and I remember him, youknow, they announced it and and David
out like who. I was like, this guy's gonna take somebody's job.

(31:02):
By your two just what mark mywords? And that audio still exists,
by the way, I said, this guy's gonna take somebody's job. Even
I didn't think he was gonna beas good as he's been. Well his
was crazy to take it for whatdo you? Whatever you think is worth.
Pro Football Focus has Quinn Miners cominginto the season as the fifth overall
ranking as far as guards and theNFL, and listen, I got a

(31:23):
lot of respect for quemn minors games. Being run blocking was best in the
league, yes, but being adefensive player. And that's where I was
going with this, because usually whenyou've run up there, there's a lot
of guys that look big and theytalked tough, but when it comes down
to the comdown, they don't reallybring that thunder. In that thought.
If you go back and you watchedQuinn Miners last year, he was pulling

(31:45):
around, putting guys on the ground, and sometimes like like last year he
took a penoty and like it wasalmost like excessive roughness, and I was
like, well, what the hellis that? Yeah, I'll call him
mister Buttersworth because he brings the pancakes, Yes, yes, and to putting
the butter own the pancakes syrup.Yes, He's like, yeah, it's
it's I mean, Quinn Miners isthe guy you build around him. He's

(32:07):
a guard. He's a guy youbuild. Reminds he uh and any nights
getting paid the same as is QuentinNelson up there with the Colts. And
there was a guy I wanted theBroncos to draft a few years ago,
taken Brown the shell that year.I wanted them to trade back and see
if they could get Quentin Nelson withwith Buffalo, because that was the plan
that year Buffalo was trying to getdue Josh Allen. Ultimately, Bradley Chubb
was there, which was one ofthe players that they were not willing to

(32:27):
move back if he was still there. They drafted Chub. We also what
happened with that, But man,can you imagine an offensive wide They had
Quentin Nelson and Quinn Miners. No, no, And he's what I hope
that the Broncos do this year becausehave you ever seen like old footage of
the old Packers sweep? Oh yeah, dude, if that bucks weep go
with Quinn Miners outside. Let mcglitchyblock down and get him out there,

(32:49):
because when dB see him, it'sjust like, man, what I'm gonna
What am I gonna do? Becauseyou can't cut him like before when I
play, you can knife those guys. Now you gotta stand there and just
get w right, Yes, that'sit, just gonna have just just a
mack truck just run into you.All you have to do now is if
you're a defender, you just runup there and act as though you're a
speed bump. I'm just trying toslow him down. Well that's like I

(33:09):
that's when I think about it,because Bryce Callahan, who's exactly my size
right yes, out there, andI'm like Bryce Callahan is like a reasonably
placed orange traffic cone to this guyorange traffic cone. He's not even gonna
he's gonna see you. Oh,he's not really gonna know you're there.
But then like guys like Callahan isreally small. All you have to do

(33:30):
is duck tar and just kind ofget up underneath that guy. Yeah,
I'm just gonna make it. Noas I get out of the way,
we already know what you would doas far as everyone's Carol in the fetal
position, you go hurt me.Yes, Mama, I'm gonna think about
that. During the break, RyanMichael, we come back Broncos Country and
like, get in my Bellan
