Speaker 1 (00:00):
Management all broad grass biz. Actually you just here with
you five six, six, nine zeros and text A lot
of texts coming to the text line. People are remembering
w KRP in Cincinnati with Lennie Anderson Friends. Doug was saying,
back when Friends started, you recorded with your VCR and
that was Yeah. There there were people that did that
back to that, because would say, I don't think TiVo
would have been around at that point. You just hope

(00:20):
you don't.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Record over something important, oh, you know, or like a
wedding tape or a concert performance or something.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
You know, it's whatever.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Didn't they have like a Landmark TiVo episode, Like, didn't
they have an episode that was all about TVO that
was a big deal.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I don't know, I can't. I just go back and
look a couple of people talking about Evening Shade that
they'd forgot about. The Yeah it was about is Burt
Reynolds and he played a former Pittsburgh Steelers player who
had gotten who quit due to injury and he settles
down in Arkansas and there was a bunch of people
in that show. Mary Lehnter was in that show. How
Wholebrook one of my favorite actors of all time, Charles

(00:54):
Dirning was in that. There was a there was a
lot of uh and then like Hillary Swank and Leo
Ramini got their starts, I think on that show there
was there was quite it. Anyway, it was on for
like four years, I think, but it was about to
uh you know, they settled down an evening shade Arkansas
and about him coaching you know, high school ball or
whatever at that point. So yeah, it was a Burt
Burt rohadse thing. Phbay a big hit down there for you.

(01:15):
I mean it was right around the time that I
it was going off the air, right around the time
I moved there, So it wasn't you know, it was
the thing. But it was a big deal to people
at Arkansas when it was. When it was on there,
my my dad's aunt and uncle who lived up the
mountain home, they used to talk about it all the time.
I got canceled too soon. That was you know, they
loved that show. So that was one of those things.
And it had the opening segment had like clips around Arkansas,

(01:40):
you know, like various spots and all that kind of stuff.
So but anyway, yeah, that was a little trip don
memory lane there with all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Zach, How you doing, buddy, I'm doing great. I'd go
down TiVo memory lane with you, really, Like, I really
don't remember when TVO became a thing. That's one of
those in my I can find mention of it in
Friends from two thousand and two.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Okay, all right, Yeah, so I guess towards the end
of Friends there might have been some I remember when
I was a kid, like, oh, seven o eight. I
think you'd have to like seven o eight when I
was on my third tour do or acts? I'm so old? No,
but maybe was there ever appointment television when you like, like,
was there ever the family sat down because there was
a show ending and you had the because you didn't

(02:22):
have the clip the next day? Or tvo or that?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Man, I'm trying to think. I think maybe like Breaking
Bad or something like that. Or yeah, it'd be something
like that like late two thousand's, early twenty tens, I
mean the super Bowl or like sporting events or something
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
But there's still like that. Do I'm talking about rescripted
shows like you know, like Mash obviously, Cosby Seinfeld.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Maybe when I was getting into middle school, like South
Park maybe, yeah, which I don't think that was that
way nationwide, but I do think there was still it
wasn't into binge levels yet where you would still wait
a week.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
For whatever show.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
But I don't know if it was such a big show,
it would be like appointment television. I mean maybe Game
of Thrones, I'd say in terms of just like.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I'm trying to remember the last national phenomenons that we
really Game of Thrones was one that we sat down for.
I guess that would be the last.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
And everyone was talking about it at the same time
and what happened.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
And it was guys, yeah you had to avoid brother?
Was that show for me back in the year. I
was in the army at that point, so was that
for me? Loss was probably a national zeit guys show
like that? What was the other one that everybody watched recently?
That was Succession or Succession?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
But the severance they rolled out once a week, I
think this most recent season, and I feel like there
was an element of that on like Twitter where everyone
was locked in for.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
A minute there.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
The last season I think is coming out this year.
I wish they didn't drag it out so long. At
this point, I'm like a little interested, you like twenty.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Two years old now or whatever eleven is now twenty
two and married. Yeah, that's brown. Yeah, didn't you get
married to John bon Jovi's son? Oh? Okay, yeah, yeah,
that was That was the appointment. TV was an interesting
It was an interesting phenomenon. I guess we still have

(04:07):
a little bit of that with some of the prestige
streaming service type things. I guess The Last.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Of Us is a recent one that I watched. Yeah, weekly,
Uh did you watch that from the beginning? Like you
did you play the game back then? I never played
the game, but I've heard from everyone that played the
game that it was really well.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
It was very faithful to and the game itself was
cinematic in and of it. It was one of those
things like this should have been a movie, right, And
so that was one of the when they finally did
the show and you're kind of like, that's that's the thing. Oh,
it's prime.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I thought it was HBO Primes now making a Got
a War series, and Got A War was a game
made by the same publishing studio.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
So I'm hopeful that that can be as strong too. Yeah,
we'll see if that that lives up to the thing five, six,
six nine zero is the text line I got A
two one three said, Evening Shade sounded like it was
about Dave Logan. Well, Logan was loads with the Browns,
not the Steelers, but Kanda, I mean, you know, and
really eating Shape is more about small town life, whereas

(05:02):
Dave obviously lives here in Denver, and there's nothing small
about Denver. Denver's bigger than whole state of Arkansas. It's
a little more populous anyway, in the whole state of Arkansas.
So is that true? Yeah, that's crazy. The metropolitan Aaryan,
the greater metropolitan area not just ever proper, but the
greater metor Palpland area has more and more people out
of the entire state of Arkansas. Yeah, so wow there. Yeah.
I mean I when I was an archists lived in
a town of forty five hundred people. It had one

(05:24):
traffic light. The entire shed town shut down at nine pm.
We had a Walmart and we had a hybrid combo, KFC,
Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and that was about it. We
got like Donald's Layton High School. You had the KFC too,
We've had pizza Taco Bell Combo. Yeah, we had the
all three. Well it's the South even There's gonna be Chicken. Yeah,

(05:45):
it was. That was one up on Brockhampton, Hampton, all
three of those, yeah, two and three. Yeah, your guys,
entire job revolves around the biggest appointment TV ak sports stuff.
Well yeah, but that's the thing, like sports is the
only kind of almost the only appointment TV out there anymore,
which is why it's so valuable and why even streaming
is trying to get involved in that.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I think, well, the only thing TV can really bank
on that and maybe like award shows and whatnot, but
if you look at the highest rated things every year,
it's like, right, you know, but what.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Is that You get the clips the next day. That's
that's what you do. Nothing is up there with nothing
to dominate you. So that's part of the reason, like
you just said that, they do that. By the way,
with ESPN now acquiring NFL Network, something we've we've done
here from are all ruined. Well, the cost for you
to be able to stream just stream every game, not
including your internet service, he's going to be six hundred

(06:35):
bucks a year. It's six hundred dollars a year for
study ticket plus Peacock plus, ESPN and you know, and
all the things that you need to be able to
stream every game call. It would cost you six hundred
dollars a year.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
And I don't know if this came out to public
knowledge or not, but I saw the rumor a couple
of days ago when this was being discussed that it
will be red Zone, will be behind the paywall on
the app.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like, in order to be
able to do all this kind of stuff, it's going
to cost you money.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
And they'll have to have ESPN Plus, yeah, plus something
else the news.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, but the good news is if you want that,
I'll tell you guys how to kind of circummit that.
You still have to pay. But if you've got Hulu,
you can do the add on. ESPN Plus is an
add on in there through the Disney Plus thing, So
if you do the bundle thing there, you can get
all three of them for like thirty bucks, like you
get you get Disney Plus, Hulu, Hulu and an ESPN

(07:23):
Plus for like thirty bucks, And.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Then I can watch my ou Bobcats because they're always
on the end, and I think it's cheaper than that
if you do the commercials one, but the no commercials
is thirty dollars.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
So that's that if you want to do that. That's
what I did because I need ESPN Plus to watch
League of Soccer. So in order to watch your own
no versus, get head.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
To uh in the top sixty or man even more
than that top like seventy events, top sixty seven events
last year, there's only three that aren't live sports, the
President Debate, okay, Grammys, Oscars, Yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Award shows and Presidential Debate. What is Is there anything
on there that descripted television like anything?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Uh? The OT that's what football post game? Yeah, that
would be sixty eight and then sixty nine Tracker season
through episode five.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
If I bet was right after a football.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Game, but I want a football game, it was right
a football game bled into whatever listing that was, Yeah,
and that's why.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
It's tracks to come on Sunday night. I just I
don't even know it's still going.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
And then you know what else, it's sixty minutes.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
It's a young Sheldon.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I bet these things came right after a football Sheldon.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Would be the one. Then that would be the which
I don't you.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Know, yeah, because it's a bunch of tracker. Otherwise than Tracker,
I see.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
What comes on right after C Yeah, a sixty minutes
to sixty minutes And that's why you get That's why
you get those shows with that kind of bomp. Is
the lead in.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Audience's so then young Sheldon unless but that probably had
a lead in audience too.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I think that now. I think that was a Thursday
or Monday show, So I'm pretty sure I didn't watch it,
but I'm pretty sure it was. Well.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Then there, that's the only one in like the top
one hundred that has no NFL connection.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
I don't really really for its connection. Chuck Lourie is
so hit or miss for me as a right, like
I love Bookies. Don't know if you get seen that
one on HBO. It's a Sebastian madascalco. Yes, I haven't
seen books. I've heard of it, Ye haven't watched. So good.
You should watch it if you have it, even if
you don't gamble. It's good. It's so good. It's yeah,
it's a it's absolutely great show. But yeah, that's that's

(09:16):
fascinating to me. Uh someone for Ben, what'd you do
tech wise? The fact you had a company sold it
and could retire in your thirties. That's insane. I worked
in encryption. Part of that was stuff I did in
the army and then when I got out afterward. Let's
see what else been used to talk about different cryptocurrencies
you were buying or interested, and you're still buying. What
are the ones you look at? I have, I have
some Bitcoin, I have some Ethereum. The main one that

(09:37):
I'm in is something called AMP. And again I'm not
giving you financial advice. I gotta disclaimer this. I'm not
giving you financial advice or any kind of stuff. It's
it's called AMP and it's a it's it's the token
that powers the flex and network. That's that's the main
one I'm in. If you want to look up on that,
it has use case. I don't do the meme coins
and all that stuff. That's that's just that's nonsense. But

(09:57):
there's a use case for it, and if you read
up on it, you can to figure out what it is.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
You didn't buy the Haley Welch, oh, the hawk to
a coin or whatever.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
It was like a scam and everybody got ripped off. Yeah,
all those all those man coins and stuff. Those there's
no use for him in the real world. The trump coin,
all that stuff, it's all worthless. It is absolutely worthless,
nonsense that has no use case in the real world. Uh,
pepe coin, all this like, all that stuff is worthless.
Don't don't don't. I'm not giving you financial advice, but
don't waste your money on that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Those certainly seem like scams. But hey, hawk to a
girl made made the most of her She pulled.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah, a chef. She had a podcast and a meme
coin out of it and got a whole bunch of money, So,
you know whatever, Maybe we need to start one here.
Call it grant coin, mustache coin. Yeah, stash coin, mustache money.
There you go. You thought about doing that. I thought
about creating like a crypto curis called like vet coin,
like veterans that would allow for veterans charities and stuff
like that. But then I was like, people are gonna
think I'm with all these scams out there. People are

(10:52):
gonna think of I mean some kind of scammy you
know things I kind of abandoned it, and you don't
want to go near that with veterans. That'd be like, yeah,
well right, people, look it would I know, I know created,
but you know, yeah, anything goes wrong, I know, and
then it's one of your name is mud forever and
I was like, this is not you know, I don't
want to get this involved in this and they don't
have people, you know, think that it's something terrible. So

(11:16):
training camp, we got a preseason game coming up on Saturday.
What's the biggest thing you want to see?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
I think the running backs, you know, I think you
can get somewhat of a read for it at training camp,
but there's a very limited contact even in you know,
the most contact heavy days of practice so far, it's
very limited and you know we're at field level or
our view as media isn't the best for all that
running back stuff. I think you're going to get a
pretty good view idea of that in the games. I

(11:43):
think our J Harvey, a lot of the other backs
should see a lot of playing time and so I'm
excited to get like our first real read of it.
And I think running back is a position where there's
such a big swing because I think it translates from
preseason to regular season better than and most positions you
can analyze. I think you can kind of get a
read for like what running backs are good, what running

(12:05):
backs aren't. In preseason that you can't quite as much
for other positions. And that's such a swing from training
camp where it feels like we can't gather any information
on these guys.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
So I'm really excited to see what R. J.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Harvey looks like, Adrick Estimate looks like, even Blake Watson,
who I thought was impressive, but you know, now we
see buried at the bottom of the depth depth chart
non rookie edition.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, for me, I think, and I'm with you on
that some of these receivers, you know you want to
see I think for me though, the corner position because
you know who the top three four corners on this
roster are, but five and six used to be one
of those would be a trade bond spist spot because
of the special teams. Now he's gone, Trent Sherfield's gonna
eat that up. On the offensive side, Chris ABMs draining,

(12:46):
Tomory Mathis and Reese Taylor are probably fighting for and
the other guys are all probably fighting for one, maybe
two spots, you know, And so I'm interested to see
if Mathos can resurrect his career. The strain becomes what
it is that we think we all could be. Reech Taylor,
who I thought has played pretty well, you know, may
may make enough noise that you got to put him

(13:08):
on the roster. We'll see. I think the corner position
is interesting, and there's a there's a lot of bodies
of the safety position. We're going to be making some
cuts and people are gonna be like whoa.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
And those guys are battling against each other to an
extent because that dB count oftentimes gets looped or lumped
together because of how it plays on special teams and everything,
where Reece Taylor probably isn't gonna only have to compete
with Chris Abrams, Drain and Damari Mathis, but also you know.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
The fine key Jale Skinner, Devon Key, Delaron Tarriel.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
And do you think at this point does the cap
hit for a Damari Mathis come into a fact like
it's only two three million, but that is substantially more
than the other players in this competition.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Those things get factored in. I think the Broncos are
in a good spot right now. I mean you well,
we're yeah, we're underwater right now this very second, but
we'll be fine by the time that the team. Brocs
is the second worst cap space right now in the
NFL because of again the crunch from the rust thing
for this season. Now they're great shape for next year
even with the extensions. They'd got done everything else. But
right now we're we're like a million underwater. Actually, so

(14:10):
we've got some some maneuvers will have to make as
far as I go, as that mathis does feel like
an easy one if Abram's drain is able and retailer
able to secure those spots.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Yeah, and I lived with Abram's trains showed last year.
I hope he can continue to build on that we.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Got in a break. We come back, we're gonna get
more than what we want to see, a training camp
and NFL six pack action. We'll be right back here.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Brookles Country not okay away. I could have brought those
country tonight, Benjamin Albright, Zach Seekers, Grant Smith here with you.
Five six six nine zero is the text line.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I was just looking under the break at the Instagram
and Mandy Connell posted a memory from sixteen years ago
and it says I want the evening job at KAA
and Denver, but I don't think I'll get it as
she captioned it, this memory popped up on my personal
Facebook page. I indeed did not get the job at
Kaway and Denver, but a few short later years later,
I got the morning job at k Howe, which led
to the midday shift she now currently holds at Koway.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Don't give up on your dreams, kids, Yeah, never give
up on your dreams.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Just say keep climbing. We had a couple of things
coming in. One of the big fantasy guys out there
met Barry quoting me a little bit ago on the RJ.
Harvey stuff because we've sort of seen the split down
there at camp or JK. Dobbins is getting the line
share of the first team works now. Harvey looks good
and he's getting this kind of the the second running
back Ian kind of works so far. But as we've seen,

(15:33):
Dobbins offers a little bit more in pass pro, and
I suspect he's going to be the early guy in
this season. That doesn't mean if you're a fantasy footballer
that you don't take a that you don't take a RJ. Harvey.
But I have a feeling if you're drafting in season
and you can you can make trades. People are going

(15:53):
to overdraft RJ. Harvey in their drafts. You could probably
get him in the second or third week of the
season and then turn around and get him for cheaper
for people that are little bit disappointed his early workload.
That would be my strategy. And JK.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Dobbins crushed early in the year for the Chargers last
season and then kind of struggled down the stretch, and
I think you could see something pretty similar to that
happened this season where I think it makes sense to.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
You know, lean on JK. Dobbins early on.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
We've seen Sean Payton, even when Alvin Kamara won Offensive
Rookie of the Year, mark Ingram had more touches in
that backfield, they really lean or Sean Payton really leans
on that veteran experience.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
And so I just think, you know, it makes sense
that JK.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Dobbins probably starts the season as a little bit more
of the lead guy, and RJ. Harvey, you know, gets
more and more of the workload as the season goes on.
I think eventually he will, like Week eighteen. I wouldn't
be surprised if R. J. Harvey's league because I do
think JK. Dobbins last year. As strong as he was
in the early half, he also really dropped off.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Down the stretch. I think that's happening. Yeah, And you
know there's sort of a again, and that's what I've
kind of figured. I figure like it looks like that
Dobbins is probably gonna the guy early and then you know, Harvey,
you'll get more and more as we go. So something
get it too. With that, let's get to the NFL
six pac.

Speaker 5 (17:11):
It's time for the NFL six past. I'm gonna tears
and inside information you can't find anywhere else the top
six NFL headlines what.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
This week.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Travis Kelcey told the media that he's left the team's
blowout Super Bowl loss in the rear view mirror and
that he's entirely focused on this upcoming season. Andy Reid
also commented on Travis Kelcey and said he's looking felt
this offseason and like he's.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Back in his twenties.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Do you believe Travis kelce is still a top five
NFL tight end? And are the Kansas City Chiefs your
favorite to win the AFC at this point?

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Well, I think they'll win THEFC fast until I tell
you to throw them. They're the guy that the team
you got to pick, right. What I will say is
that THEFC West might be the toughest division in football.
The Chargers got better, the Broncos got better, the Chiefs
got better, and the Raiders aren't a joke with Pete Carroll.
So there's that what. I picked the chief to win
the AFC proper. No, I think I'm taking the Bills

(18:11):
this year. I took the chief last year. In fact,
I picked the Chiefs and Eagles to the super Bowl
last year. I think I'm taking the Bills this year, though.
I just feel like they've got the right mix, and
they're tired of the disappointment, and you know, and there's
gonna be a you know, a chip there for them
to get over the hump. If they don't, they'll blow
Sean McDermott out and they'll get a new coaching staff.
I'm with you. I like the Bills this year. They've

(18:34):
invested a lot into that defense.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
I just wonder can Sean McDermott finally figure out how
to keep that regular season defense to carry into the postseason.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
I can also see being the Ravens year.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
You know, I know, Lamar Jackson, everyone knocks him for
the playoff performances. Last year, he was darn good in
the playoffs. The Bills just barely outdoled him. I think
he's ready for it too.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I say, a likely injury, it's gonna be Mark Andrews
for them earlier.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
The season, Yes, but you know you'll have likely back
for the post.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
He's in bush and that's I mean for them and
the Bills.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
At this point, it's like, who cares about the games
in September or October.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
It's time to finally get over the hump. Yeah, and
be healthy lit later. I'll answer your question by Kelsey.
Do I think he's the best in the league at
top five? I mean he's up there. It's what he's
lost in athleticism he's gained in football. Like you, If
he can get his body back into a little bit
better shape than he was last year, I think he
can still be productive.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Two Patriots Head coach Mike Rabel bloodied his face today
after jumping into a practice scrum in an attempt to
break up the fight. Patriots players Hunter Henry and Drake
May told the media that they approved of their coaches
mentality and actions. What do you think of Rabel? Getting
involved in a training camp fight.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Well, so what happened is Trayvon Henderson was picking up
a block on one of the defenders there, the defender
got in, There's a little bit of mol and going on,
and Rabel just dove in there to separate him and
get lit bloody nose. I mean, you know, Rabel's that coach,
He's that dude, you know, and he's a big fellow.
He's he's been around a long time. That's the way

(20:05):
he coaches, that's the way he does things. And he
jumped in the middle of something to break it up.
I didn't put anything into it one way or the other.
But he's going guy guy over the you know, bloody
face coach today and I'm like, this is just who
Mike Rabel is. Like if you've ever seen him out
at four am at Prime forty two and you know
exactly what that dude's made of.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Makes me think of the GM comments from last coaching cycle.
I was like, well, I don't know if i'd want
to hire Mike Frabel. He's he's a little too intimidating
or whatever the bizarre quote was. Maybe that was why, Yeah,
if you're too intimidated of a coach you hired, you
probably shouldn't bet the GMing business to begin with, right,
just saying.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I'm just surprised he didn't light up a cigarette and
crack open a cold one after.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Well, this cigarette probably not, but the cold one I
could totally see. I'm just saying, like I've seen Mike
rabel out, I know what he's made.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Of, crack him up and I snatching him together on
the forehead three. Madden has released their ratings, including their
ninety nine club for Madden twenty six and PS two,
who isn't among the seven players selected? Ben, I can
tell you're awfully concerned about this. And Laine Jackson, Sorry,
Lane Johnson, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Jamar Chase,

(21:10):
Justin Jefferson, and Miles Garrett are in the ninety nine club.
Miles Garrett, notably, the only defensive member of the ninety
nine club. PS two earned only a ninety seven grade.
Do you think PS two is underrated in this exercise?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
And which player?

Speaker 3 (21:25):
If so, which player do you think he should have
replaced in the ninety nine club?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
All Right, First of all, I'm a Madden player, all Right,
the overall rating does not matter at all, literally does
not matter at all. They have a fake rating there,
cold awareness, and what they do is they raise or
lower that number to get people's overall number up in
the equation. It does not matter at all. What matters

(21:49):
are the physical traits that they play with in the game, speed,
acceleration especially, and things like that, and so that really
are the things that ultimately matter. If you're a serious
matter player, you know that overall rating does not bleeping
matter at all. So that part of it, I don't care,
Like I just I just don't care. In terms of

(22:11):
sir Tamby the best corner the game, He's the best corner,
like whatever. If you need to put him at a niney
nine five, I don't care. I don't care what the
overall number is. I care that he plays as well
in the game that he plays in real life, and
he absolutely does.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I just think that it would be cool like this
day and age. I'm sure all players are aware of it.
I'm sure you guys saw Tyree Hill's comments on his
Madden rating earlier this week, like it would be a
cool little just you know, extra thing if you can say, yeah,
I was part of the ninety nine club.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
There's I mean, there's something to it in terms of
the respect thing and all that. I remember we had
so some of my buddies are you know, I mean
you know this grant, you've seen it. They work on
mad and that's how we get the that's how we
get certain info ahead of time, almost just out of
myself there. Yeah, you have bleep that. But we know that,
we know the ratings adjusters and when they come out,

(22:59):
you know, it's kind of we had that that one
year where Aaron Patrick was was lobbying the the rating
suggestion to lower his speed because he was too fat,
too dominant in the game. Er Patrick, by the way,
one of the funniest whole time Broncos. But yeah, he
was a lobby He's got eighty four. I'm too fast.
I'm too fast, guys gonna have to toll no down.
I'm too dominant in the game. Yeah, and we know

(23:19):
how they come out, and there's a there's a matter
of there's a point of pride with that kind of stuff.
You remember when kJ Handler was here and he was
upset that his speed was a little bit better, you
know than like a ninety two or something or you know,
things like that.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
My thing with the because I agree the overall ratings
kind of BS is just to reflect real life, I
guess to try and give that perception of it matching
up with reality. So why not put him in the
ninety nine club? Why is there only one defender in
that elite air? Maybe what are you lacking? But what
are you lacking from PS two is a corner. I
maybe knock him down at that point.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Relative to a Sherman er. I'm sure they get a
chance to move him up in the season and then
you know, it's a big PR blitz for everybody.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
By the way, you mentioned kJ Hammler. Very cool to
see him. I don't know if you watched the new
episode of Hard Knocks. Very cool to see him on
there with the Bills. Yeah, he's with the Bills.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
He stands good show to make the roster too, practice
squad of minimum. So I have to tune into that four.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
With Dylan Gabriel and can He Pickett sidelined with hamstring injuries,
Joe Flacco sitting to keep him healthy, ostensibly as the
team's starting quarterback, Shador Sanders, and newly signed quarterbacks New
Puntley are expected to play for the Browns in the
Week one preseason game, with Shadoor Sanders taking the I
guess starting, who knows if he's playing with the starters,

(24:36):
but the quote unquote starting reps in that.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Game, he'll play three quarters of that game. Pretty exciting.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
How important do you think this is for Sanders in
terms of his chances of making the roster potentially even
being the team starting quarterback and what are your expectations
for him in this debut?

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Okay, making the roster, He'll make the roster, being the
starting quarterback. Yeah, you got to go out there and produce.
You go ahead, to light it on fire out there.
You really are, but you think that is on the table,
and this is I think the coaching staff is going
to go with Joe Flacco no matter what I think.
At this point. What you're battling for is the guy
to take over if Joe stumbles and falls at any point.
And I would say that the front office is pulling

(25:13):
for Shador and the coaching staff is pulling for Dylan Gabriel.
But Dylan Gabriel's injured. So this is your opportunity to
show the coaching staff are idiots, And.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
It seems like Gabriel has been struggling in practice. Like,
I'm not a believer in Traveland's.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Going to have a bottom seven offense this year and
I'm not a believer in. I mean, it's not Justin
Fields on the Jets bad or Tyler shugs Flash.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Three or fourteen with one interception. I meant to Justin Gabriel, No,
Dylan Gabriel. I mean I saw those stats too. Those
were bad.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
I immediately said, with three interceptions over three days of practice, Hey,
that's not in the six pack. That's not in the
six pack. Bring that up, son, Yeah, you're just omitting
with Justin Field stuff. Yeah, nowhere redacted. I'm just saying,
nump Grant, Justin Fields, strawberry fields, missus Field's cookies. No
matter he can't throw the ball five, He's going to
be a top fantasy quarterback this year that I'll watch out.

(26:02):
That's all that says is that fantasy scoring is broken.
All that you're not fantasy scoring is terrible.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
That seems silly that the rushing yards are that in
a sport valuable anyway.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
By the way, Jerry, I'm gonna I'm gonna give you
Justin Field stats real quick before we get this last
one in there. You guys know what Justin Field's stats
are when his team is behind? What is what is
winning winning record or losing record? Wins and losses are
when his team is behind to start the fourth quarter?
Fifteen and zero? Any guesses, grant no? But one and
twenty one? Yeah, little, He's played in twenty two games

(26:33):
where his team is losing to start the fourth quarter,
and he has won one of them.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
That by far the worst stretch in the NFL over
the last five years. I figured it was a bad
justin Field stat if you were bringing in that at all,
By the way, is the best. He's gonna have more
wins than Russell Wilson this year. He's gonna have more
topdowns th Russell Wilson this year. I'll throw a stake
dounner on.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Each of them. Remember what happened the last time you
bet me? I will this time. I'm redeeming myself on
this as Russell Wilson has more wins as a starting
goal back to Justin Field this year.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Yeah, and Justin Field's also have more touchdowns than us Wilson.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Broh, I'll double up out on that. All right, we
have two separates. Let's do it now. Last one five
Jerry Nillams.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Jerry Jones told the media that he's not confident that
Micah Parsons will play or Michael Person will play for
the Dallas Cowboys in Week one. As the contract standoff
becomes more and more tense, what do you think win sorry,
do you think this situation will be resolved?

Speaker 1 (27:30):
How will it be resolved once it is?

Speaker 3 (27:33):
And at what point do you think parsons missing time
becomes a serious impediment to the Cowboys playoffs.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I don't think it becomes anything. I think that it
gets done sometime between the last preseason game and the
first game of the regular season. I think Jerry Jones
winds up paying a little bit of a premium and
you wind up with Michah Parsons on an average of
forty four million dollars a year as a deal.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Did you see Aaron Donald's comments today he would come
out of retirement if the Rams trade for Michaeh Parsons.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Oh oh, that's a pretty big deal. Can you imagine
Jared Verse miche a Donald trade? Oh yeah, you'd have
to figure Oh yeah, the trade. But Aaron Donald and
Michael Parsons on the same defense. Who's scary Almost as
scary as like a Max Crosby, you know. Michael Parsons thing,

(28:22):
not saying, just saying.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
I just had a Steelers fan moment there where I
was like, Oh my god, Mika Fitzpatrick and Jaylen Ramsey,
this is gonna be an awesome cop ups involved.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Right.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
Six, Justin Herbert.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Wasn't veiled as the number fifty five player on the
NFL's on NFL's annual Top one hundred list, placing him
at nine, the spots ahead of Nicks Broncos starting quarterback.
What do you think of that nine player gap? Do
you think that's too large or too small a gap?
And do you think of the rest the rest of
the Broncos roster, the other fifty two and the coaching staff,

(28:55):
is enough to close that gap.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Between Nix and Herbert too small a gap? Justin Justin
Herbert should probably be higher and Bonix probably shouldn't be
in the NFL's top hundred. That's not to say that
bo can't get there, but he hasn't done anything to
deserve it so far, and that to me, that's you know,
I'm like, there's a lot of people that are super
hyping up the Broncos, and I get a little I
don't mean nervous. Yeah, I'm one of those people that

(29:19):
you other way, though, I would rather have you. I
would rather be like last year, where everybody's sleeping on
us and we know we're gonna go ball out on him.
I would rather be that than the overhype it'd got now.
And I'm like, I don't the Broncos are a super
Bowl team. I don't, you know, maybe the offensive has
to take a pretty big jump, but maybe we'll see.
I probably just didn't belong in the top hundred this year.
And Justin Herbert is a top fifty quarterback, our top
fifty player in the league. I mean he is, Then

(29:41):
I have a lot of weapons to throw two over there.
They went and signed the ghost of Keenan Allen to
be on that roster, but I don't know, does he
come with a wheelchair or is that that's concerning? And
I see why he did.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Did you see the cut up of Trey Harris in
that Hall of Fame game? He could not get any separation.
That was very concerning. I think it's gonna be DeAndre
Lambert Smith.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, the people keep saying that. I still think Trey's
gonna be the guy. But the Chargers have a lot
of guys that I liked out of this draft. Gadsden, Harris,
Samari and Hampton. We're gonna we'll see if they get there.
Quentin Johnson, that was a bum they got. Land mccackey's
really the only reliable pass catcher they've got right now.
And of course Keenan Allen. But you know, you talk
about separation, what does Keenan Allen run like a six

(30:21):
five forty now?

Speaker 3 (30:23):
And the Bears still had him running deep routes on like.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
That's your flat guy, What are we doing here?

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Whatever?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Anyway, Broncos Country Tonight rolls up. That's
