Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thanks to Steve Atwater for joining us in the last
houring miss any part of that. You got a rough
Country Night dot Com, slash podcast, the Whey Weach podcast,
Apple iTunes.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Spotify, the free iHeartRadio app. Kind of nailed it, did
not nail it at all? Were you used to it?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
We get to take it for granted podcast. Now I
just take for granted. But you get a pipe in there.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
You can still get it.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Just a new episode taking for granted podcast out there
as well.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Lots of text coming in, lot of stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Let's see you.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
We'll get to that a little bit later. Three on
three bet, I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
I had turf toe once, almost needed a diaper because
I didn't want to move Nick. My wife's like, you
just did a triathlon with two turf toes and an
achilles makes it look like a golf ball. Finished third
overall of fifty four. Yes, I'm proudly a pansy. Oh well, hey, you.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Know what I love that the ability to look at
yourself in the mirror and just kind of admit what
it is. But that turf toe, man, there's no joke, man,
That that sucker really hurts, and that that nodrule of
that where that toe is, that big toe is, it
gets really large. And during my plan days, they had
these shoes from Nike called Speed tds and basically the
(01:09):
shoe was made to be if you want to look
at this, to be more aerodynamic. And every time because
the shoe was kind of cut to a point, it
forces your toes to go to that particular point and
that bone where your big toe is, it was protruding out,
so that sucker got huge. So and man, anyone returf toe? Man, hey,
(01:32):
God bless you?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Was it the one did you have? Which you have
the one with a huge swoosh on the toe?
Speaker 1 (01:37):
You know, I'm talking about which version did you have
of the because I remember the Speed tds Well.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Well yeah, it came around from either the right or
left portion had finished.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
The vapor edge the one edge, okay, all right, because
it was there's like three different versions.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
And I remember like the vapor speeds it had like
a pat leather one on the toe or whatever like that,
and the stitching would come off real quick.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Dude, I'm Kelly Man.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
It was so bad that after games I used to
have to wear like certain cushion type of footwear like
like Reebok used to make this shoe called like a
dress shoe called rock port. Yeah, and it was sort
of like the Nikes version of having a bubble in
the shoe. I had to wear those because my feet
would be on fire. Like I would get off the
(02:19):
plane and have all like no shoes. Right almost almost
like if anyone out there, man, I know of the flight, yes.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Right now, Yes, that's.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
So just mental with your stinky ass feet, stinky feet,
Nick Ferguson on the flight.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
See see that was never the case.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
See this wasn't like some regular person on on a
account of like a commer on a commercial flight just
flying with with you know, smelly feet. No, I just
played the game, grant it.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I watched.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Unlike some people, I actually washed my feet. I didn't
allow the soap to just kind of drip down.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
To my feet. I actually took the cloth because I
used a cloth. And yes, and I went right between
and flossing my toes.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
So with the walk, what's wrong with that?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
You gotta get you have to get in between.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
Man.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
For those people who don't wash their feet, you have
no idea, but you gotta fly to wash their feet.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
We've been through the sky.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
We know certain people don't don't wash their their feet
and their their lower body, but you gotta foster toes,
so bend and grant. When I got on the plane,
my my feet and my socks were so fresh and
so clean.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
All right, yes, we'll call you outcast because it was.
It was fresh and clean. It was so fresh and
so clean.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
I'm not getting on a plane with a bunch of
other grown men.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
With stick feet and say.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
I was like, man, I'm gonna flag the bro.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
You kidding?
Speaker 1 (03:59):
That's something you see people do it though on flights,
Like you get on the flight and you see the
dude taking his shoes off, Like what the hell do
you think.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I'm looking at him?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I'm a laser eyeing the person doing like what do
you think you do? You know that that we come
over there and slap you with that shoe?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
You know how we You pay when you person ticket.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
They got all these disclaimers as far as not bringing
certain batteries and things firearms. They should have on those
disclaimers when you buy your ticket and at the airport,
cover up your stinky feet.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
And nobody wants your stank feet. Man, cover up, yes,
cover up get a sock in there.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, I don't want me if trying to wear shoes
out of socks either get that mildew smell.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Don't even try it.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Yes, call that security guard on the plane, say.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
On, I can't do this. I tell you. There's like
you guys have to move me. I can't do it.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
There's like two or three things that will make me
like laser. Look at somebody that's one of them. Like
you're taking your shoes off on the plane, put them
back up?
Speaker 2 (04:45):
What you're doing? What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Grand you listen to this shoo and listeners hit us
up on the textall and let me know. Are you
one of those individuals who get mad at parents with
babies on planes?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Not necessarily What do you mean not necessarily you're doing?
You don't. I don't get mad at first. If you
let your kids, don't.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Even control will be for five hours.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Did you what he said? I don't get mad at They.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Might, you know, they might have a little bit of
squawk to him or whatever. But if you're a good parent,
you gonna get that on the control. If it's three
hours of that kid kicking the back of my seat
and the screaming.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Said, that's different, though I can't kick the back of
your seat is one thing.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Crying on the plane is difficult because ears and all
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
You can knock out juice for them kids, you see,
you have plenty of chemicals.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
No, no, no, this is not Arkansas.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
You guys are dipping the pacify and koyak. I'm just saying, yeah, no,
we're not doing that.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Yeah, you don't get mad at infants like newborns. But
if there's like a seven or eight year old kick
in the back of my seat, I'm turning around and
I'm saying something.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
How many times do you have to turn around? I'll
give the kid two kicks and then I'm turning around.
That's far an accident. Second one could be the third
one is yours.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Yes, yes, newborns, there's nothing really you can do as
a parent. You can try, but sometimes that baby is
just gonna cry. But if you got like a seven
year old, that's just like you know, messing with the
person in front of the whole time.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
You need to get them under control. Just after the
first time. He excuse me, I always let the first
one slide.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Yeah, yeah, exactly right, right, because everybody gets on because
you imagine being on the plane with Bingjamin alright, and
he's having a shouting match with a six year old dude.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
I had. I'll never forget this.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
We went to the Combine a couple of years ago
and Ryan Edwards, bless his heart, always uh trying to
save money for us like books.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
These obscenely early flights.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
So we got to be the morning in the morning
and we had there was three of us because our
buddy U. B.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
K Was with us on that one.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
And somehow, I don't know how this worked out, but
somehow I wound up in the middle seat between those
two and I've got the it's I think the picture
is actually Ryan's picture for what I call because the
disgusted look on my face.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
I'm just sitting there like anyway.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I had a kid directly behind me who kept putting
his knees in my back, and I just put that
thing all the way back.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
I was like, recline my seat.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
You can't do. I don't even normally.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Recline my seat on an airplane because I don't want
to be a jerk.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Well, well, I mean, put your knees go back. I
got something for that. I don't.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I don't want to be a jerk, but essentially that's
what she became.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
I don't want to be a jerk, but I'm gonna
be a I don't want to be a jerk first,
So you have to be bold.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
But my energy will match your energy.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
In order for your jerk ism to come out, you
need to be for boked.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yes, yeah, oh.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
Man, that that's the all time. My energy will match
your energy. I just have a question. Were you working
for Ryan Edwards on this trip? Yes, obviously in his employee.
Obviously I had to. I had to go back today
after that.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
He's almost new Genisa. He's like, you don't been on
the right you guys met before or whatever. I don't
think so you said, yeah, Ben, he's our insider. He
is a night show and uh.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
You know on Sundays he worked for me sometimes or whatever.
And I'm like, work for you you.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
I went back. I had to go look at my
paycheck there real quick. I'm like, wait a minute, works
for you Ran Edward's thing.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
Sure of these paychecks not from the estate of Ryan Edward, right,
I was looking.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I'm like, man, I didn't get my uh digging my
check directly from Edwards this week.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
I wonder if if Ryan actually drives around the city
of Denver when he goes to get his pumpkin spice lattes,
and someone may recognize his face with his voice, and
does he actually tell that to people, like, like, people
work for you.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
That's what I'm saying. He said that would on the air,
so there's no telling what he says when he's off there. Yes,
like I work for you. It's our own Visiaman all Bright.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, he's uh, he's someone on my payroll whatever. Although
he did own me in golf this weekend. God, I
was terrible. I mean I was so epically bad. We
went and played Fossil Trace.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah. I hadn't played. I mean I han't played in.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
A decade, decade and a half. I didn't played golf
in a while. I used to be all right, but
I was not. You know, I was never like, you know,
a badass or anything, but I was.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I was all right, dude.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I was so so bad, so bad.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
When you went to hit your ball, did it go
carrier it to the right or the left? Right?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
I was opening the club face. But but my problem
wasn't like the maiden short game wasn't terrible, it was
just bad. Terrible was off the tee. I kept topping
the ball off the tee, and so instead of getting
get you know, getting into the drive, and instead of
hitting the drive down on the fairway, I get over
the top of the ball and it would either fire
off into the water right in front of us, or
it would just roll down the fairway, just screaming down
(09:29):
the fairway like a missile because I put so much
top spin.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Hitting the ball over the top of the ball.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
You know what it reminded me of because when we
were watching the Broncos game and Will Lutz came up
and he kicked it the field goal, and usually when
you see Will Luttz kick any field goal, it's right
between down the middle, right right between the pipes, and
his ball kind of curved and I was like, whoa,
he hit that one on that kind of looked like.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Right he pulled me on the golf course.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I mean it was.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
It was absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
So going back to that though, Nick, like for all
the fans complaining about the leverage call at the end
of the game, Yeah, like there were plenty of other
things that happened in that game that cost us more
than that leverage call, including that Will Lutts missed field
goal that would have put us up fun It's completely
changes the dynamic of that last drive.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
Yes, it is.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Equally into the game in Kansas City when the fans
were upset and beside themselves when the kick was blocked
right and all we lost it. No, you don't essentially
lose the game on one particular play.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Right now, that play may highlight it, and in.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
This case with the kick because it was at a
pivotal moment on the game, because the game was ending
right that you look at and say, well that's the
reason that we lost. No, the Broncos played, you know, offensively.
To me, it's the best that I've seen them in
some time. And I was happy and encouraged by that.
But then it was a bevy of penalties. Like you
(10:57):
go back to that one drive. First you get JK.
Dobbins with a big run and he kind of threw
the ball on the ground. I didn't think that was
such an egregious play by him. What I know, the
league is really temperamental on you know, I guess trying
to do things in front of other players and entice
players and things like that. But then right after that
(11:20):
there was a face mask call on I think Adam Trumpman.
So that's like almost twenty to thirty yards and penalties
and you're moving backwards, right, So it was those untimely
miscues and penalties that really hurt the Broncos. And when
you're playing against another talented team, that's right. I did
say talented team when I was talking about or when
(11:41):
I'm talking about the Cults, because they are really talented teams,
as we've seen with.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Their twenty nine to twenty eight victory.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
You can't give them extra possessions, you can't really help
them out.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
And that's essentially what happened. Yeah, in the end, and
that's part of the thing.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Five to six, sixth nine zero is the text slide
through three.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Then you need to moderate a debate between Nick and
Ross about lower extremity hygiene.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
That would be the funniest thing ever, I.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Don't think because I'm I'm three shower a day guy
like I'm I'm I'm extremely I'm on the other end
of the spectrum like at me and Ross, we we
would go round and around on that one.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
You see once again, Ben, It's come down to kind
of a racial thing because I take showers per day
and at first I wasn't with you on this, but uh,
at first you were afraid well, and then you know
I came around. I was like, you know, well, I'm
going to decide to take more showers. But because of
(12:34):
my dark complexion, and man, that stuff drives me out.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
You got to moisturize, you get right out. You got
to see what it is.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Y gotta the cocoa butter on standby as a as
a as a white, I am also familiar with the
I'm familiar with. I'm just saying, yeah, that would be that.
That would be funny. Ross and be on Hygi. I
think we're like opposite ends of the spectrum on that one.
And Ross is a good friend, don't get me wrong,
But that would be. That would be funny. Uh six
four six? Then would get off a plane. I got
on with a maga had I don't care what you wear, man,
(13:02):
you wear whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
What I don't know, I don't get that one. Let's
see here two.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
On four people are showed me videos of the missed
field goal and how there's leveraging against a cults. They
need to let this go. We're always a victim. We
can't just say the other team beat us. Hey, I'm
with you on that. I always I hate it when
the fan base presents itself as whiny on that kind of.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Stuff, like like I hate the optics of that.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Like end of the day, they beat us, well get
them next time, Well get them playoffs, right, we'll get them.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
We'll get them back there. That that's the way attitude
you got to have.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
All Right, they got us today, We're gonna get them back,
you know, we get the next opa.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
See once again, been that the part that usess me,
this is not Broncos culture.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
This is not what we do. We don't whine and complain.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
And so to me, there's been some aiding in the
bedding with this particular narrative with individuals in the media
and in the local local market. So so they are
feeding into this process of Yes, there was a problem
that somehow that the cults were afforded opportunity that the
Broncos were not. And I will reminds there was a
(14:01):
play that I didn't believe that happened, like on the
Pat Bryant catch Yes, and it was this rule that
he kind of he was. He got the first down,
he was past the yard to gain and I'm like, whoa,
I remember looking at you like I'm looking at I'm.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Like, I'm not drinking today, but that's not right.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
I don't look like So the Broncos actually got got
one because Pat Bryant wasn't past the yard to gain
and the Broncos would eventually go go down and score.
So once again you can go tip for tap, but
let's be realistic about this situation.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
This is not who we are to me.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
I leave that for other franchise bases and and and
those teams to do that to wind and complain. We
don't wind and complain. We go out there, we go
to work. You put on your hard head and your
blue blockers and you just you do what you have
to do.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
That's and I'm saying white like that's that's one of
those things where I like, I want us to I
want It's my I dream And now I can't tell
fans how a fan, but it's my dream that this
fan base is more like, hey, you know what they
got us, but be good.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
We used to win and we're going to get back
to winning.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
That's the thing, and we'll get these guys back the
next time we see you know that kind of thing.
I hate to cry about the ref stuff and all
that kind of stuff. And at the end of the day,
like there's so many people online that are so wrong
about this.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
This is a textbook penalty. And then they're like, well,
the Colts got away with doing it, that doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
We had our own right, We hand our own own
that's the idea.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
And then showing photos of hey.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
This guy had his hand on his back and I'm like.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Well, do did he take two steps forward launch?
Speaker 4 (15:29):
And then also too, do we know the amount of
pressure right that he pressed down with? Because if we
don't know that, then that could be just a guy
having his hand on another guy's jersey. It's no different
than pass interference. Right now, what I've come to learn
from pass interference opposed to what I thought as a
player is entirely different.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Because when you.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Think about defensive passing afference and OPI. I still don't
like the fact that OPI hasn't called that frequently been,
But when we think about pass interference from you all
offensive standpoint, it's like, well, you can extend your arm,
But did you really push off to create separation? See
you look for that arm extension and sometimes and that
(16:10):
was one of those individuals because I didn't have a
full understanding of the rule. And I'm a defensive guy. Well,
understanding what that rule is and how the refs officiated
it is violuing is important because when you don't, you
look at what everyone else is saying on social media
and then you jump right on board with that and
you did as wrong.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Broncos Country Night back after this, right, a few uh
different texts coming in. We'll get some of those here.
I a little bit roby Bean get to join us.
Top of the hour. We'll get a chance to talk
to her a little bit about to see you this
past week, as well as what she thought of the
Broncos game.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
But let's gore around the league. Can take a look
at what happened this week in the.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
NFL, starting off with Thursday Night Football Commanders.
Speaker 8 (16:54):
That's Packers, Packers first and goal. They've got the ball
at the eight yard live Lover is of a Shotgune
Jacob the is Right's here's the snap love fake the
hand off rolling right, Bulls and SOPs now Green Bay
Toper Crab makes that.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
Catch that called courtesy of west Wood One Ryan Ragkey
And are the Packers the super Bowl favorite?
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Well, I did pick them to go to the Super
Bowl along and played the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Come on, I mean, it's in Twitter, it's in Twitter
on print that I picked them before the season start.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
We'll say, I want to see it. It was. I mean,
I'll pull it up with it.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
It was not.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
It was not a happy birthday for Dan Quinn, who's
celebrating his.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Fifty fourth on that day. Happy birthday to our commander
in chief. But the Packers twenty seven eighteen is.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Uh, the Commander's kind of looks old on defense and
on offense.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
It kind of felt like Cliff was turtling in that
game a little bit.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
I would to say that the Commanders look old. I
wanted to say the Packers just can look smoking hot.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
On offense and the defensive side of the ball. What
a great addition that Michael.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Parson adds to the green Bay Packers, sort of like
Reggie White did years ago when they went on.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
To that being the green Bay package to go to
the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
But Jordan Love I know you hate saying the love,
but you might as well get used.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
To the love showing more often. It's gonna be so
much more than that.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
We're gonna have to call Jordan Love the love boat.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
How about that?
Speaker 1 (18:15):
I hate that Cleveland Browns with.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
The Baltimore Ravens are from the gun will throw Lopson
near sideline looking for Hopkins and John Goss touchdown DeAndre
Hopkins and they're not going to.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
Overrule that one that called courtesy of w BA L
Jerry Sandusky and Rod Woodson and the Ravens my super
Bowl pick.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah, the Ravens absolutely boatrace Cleveland. I don't have a
lot of comments here other than they just beat the
hell out of them.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
This was one way for the Baltimore Ravens to get
back on track against their division rivals. And you're absolutely
right when you look at what Lamar was able to
do for touchdowns and that in the highlight, it's new
Hopkins being this deep into his career state still making
those one candied grab over the shoulder catches.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Man, And I know Ben, he's not a fan of those.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Guys who make over to show the catches no.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
I am a fan of that.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
I would like him to bake those catches and not
drop the ball. That's right, fan of the guys that
do make the catches, not the guys is that don't.
The Jacksonville Jaguars Kat Branst Cincinnati Bengals Browning will be
under center now, Sample goes behind the quarterback and shoves.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
Him, hits a touchdowns shake Crowning with eighteen seconds left
in regulation.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
That called courtesy courtesy of w c KY Dan Horde
and the awesome Dave Lapham and tough news for the Bengals.
But when and two and I was start and Jake Browning,
we trust that was a reason he heard Browning instead
of Burrow.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Burrow out got turf toe, torn ligaments in the foot
out a minimum.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Of eight weeks could be longer.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Trevor Lawrence two hundred seventy one yard, three touchdowns but
two interceptions in that game. Trap Us Hunter continues to
be mostly a non factor of three catches twenty two yards.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Well, the one thing about that game, obviously, Joe Burrow.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Going down in what could be an extensive time is
going to miss for the Cincinnati Bengis.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
But Jake Brownie.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Came in and he helped his team get the W.
But this is one of those games that was really
crazy because Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdowns two interceptions and
Jake Brownie threw two touchdowns three interceptions, but he got
the dub. This is gonna be something that's interesting and
I can't wait to the Cincinnati Bengals play the Denver
Broncos to see if Jake Brownie can be the guy
(20:35):
for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Or they turned to somebody that's right eat to w
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
I'm not by the way, it ran one in as well.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Next game, Giants Country, Let's grow the inside hand off
Javonte Williams and he breaks free.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Hen Williams has a head of steam. Hen Williams to
the NZO. Tvin Williams running.
Speaker 8 (20:56):
Hard, took it home thirty yards fort Davonte Williams.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Had to give some love to our former Broncos running
back Davonte Williams. Cowboys pull out a crazy win. That
call courtesy of KRLD with Brad Sham.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yeah. They did.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Seventy seven points scored in this game, the final three
coming from Dallas to win at Russell Wilson thirty or
forty one four hundred and fifty yards, three touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
And an interception another twenty three on the ground.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Howbout Davonte Williams eighteen carries ninety seven yards and a
toddy six catches thirty three yards as well.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
This is crazy, s that line for Javonte because in
twenty twenty four with the Denver Broncos, he had four
rushing tuchdowns on the season.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Right now with the.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Dallas Cowboys, he has three rushing testdowns.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Which is crazy.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
And I guess do we now throw that narrative to
decide that he couldn't run the ball because he couldn't see,
he didn't have balance, he lost some speed.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
I don't know, You tell me. It looks like he's
running just fine. Out Aaron Dallas. How about the Patriots
starry the Bears at the Lions.
Speaker 9 (22:04):
Mort and goal for the Lions from the fourth golf
takes the snap, fakes, the game rolls right.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Got a man wide open. I'm and ross Saint Brown.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
One two three times today, touchdown Detroit Lions.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah. Ben Johnson's return back not so sweet? That call.
Courtesy of w x YT Dan Miller. Yeah, Jared Goff
twenty three to twenty eight, thirty and thirty four.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yards, five passing touchdowns, three of the I'm on Ross
Saint Brown, who got the hat trick?
Speaker 2 (22:32):
There?
Speaker 1 (22:33):
You look over to Bear's side, it was pretty pitiful.
Katle Williams ended up leaving the game and Tyson.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Bage come on.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
At one point it was it was not good for
any bear not named rom Doonza.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Well, I have to say this for former Denver Broncos
assistant John Morton.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Hey man, what a heck of a win for him.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
Because I mean, you put a fifty burger on anyone
in the league. Hey man, that's that's man. Props to
him for being able to do that. And when you
got a wide receiver by the name of Aman Ross
Saint Brown, I mean you mentioned Brown, Aga, James Brown
and some Egyptian names.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Man, that dudes got to be the guy.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Well, I just say, like I guess John Morton picked
it up after last week and said what can Brown
do for me?
Speaker 3 (23:15):
And found out.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
There you go. We got the Patriots taking on the
hapless Dolphins.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
The liner haddle bike Gipson on the run to the
twenty took the twenty five with the cut inside the thirty, he.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Bounces way near side to the forty five.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Fifty gips into thirty five.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Miami fifteen ten five, he goes to touchdown Pride.
Speaker 6 (23:35):
Love that call from WBZ Bob soci and two returns
back to back in that game.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, ramondre Stevenson led the Patriots in rushing eleven carriage
fifty four yards.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
He led him be in receiving five receptions.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Eighty eight yards.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Drake May had a pretty decent Day two talking about
law not bad, but they Miami just doesn't run the ball,
which is funny with a Mike McDaniel offense.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
They don't run the ball.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
They don't run the ball very well to mine eh
h e eleven for thirty oli Gordon one carry for
eight yards with Washington three carries for twenty three and
that's it. They wound up with fifteen carries on the
game versus thirty two passing attempts.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Is they lose to the New England Patriots.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Yeah, that's something that is stifling for me to know
that a Mike mcdaine's team, with this offense and the
way that it's been built out in the tree comes
from that. They're having difficulty running the ball. Do you
think it's the running backs or is it just personnel issues.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
I think they struggle with that offensive line is part
of it. But I think they're just out of their heads.
I think everything has gone wrong, and I think they're
second guessing themselves and getting.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Into situations and playing football.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
They don't need to eat playing.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
They got to get back to basics.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
They got to find a way to get back to
what made Miami good when Mike McDaniel was there.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
They got to find a way to get back to
that quick because they're down. They're in the whole oh
to two already. The San Francisco forty nine ers taking
on the.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Competitive but winless New Orleans Saints McCaffrey.
Speaker 8 (24:51):
In this lot empty backfield, Jones probed the gun to snow,
looks right, looks gross, and jo touchdown.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
That called courtesy of KSFO Carlos Ramirez.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
In the Return of Mac Jones, who Mac Jones twenty
six to thirty nine two seventy nine three toudies. He
also had Spencer Rattle over here twenty five thirty four
two or seven three touchdowns no picks himself. Devonveley caught
his first touchdown as a New Orleans Saint. Was last
score of the game was six twenty one left in
the four to bring New Orleans close twenty six to
twenty one, but couldn't get any closer than that.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
San Francisco Squeaks went out with the backup quarterback.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
Yeah, this game was more competitive than than I actually
thought it was going to be going in. And based
on the fact that Robins alas back Mfred Warner and
that defense, I thought that they would do a better
job against Spencer Rally. But hey, this proved to be
one of those barn Burner types of games that Mac Jones.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
He came through in the clutch.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
He did one backup quarterback that also did that came
in the next game and a scorer that was a
lot was not close, not as close as the score
would indicate.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Bills at the Jets.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Here's the snap.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
It's another handoff Cooking and cut it back through a hole.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Dodge is a defender up and out and out the
gate to the races down to the twenty.
Speaker 10 (26:10):
Ten five touchdown.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
James cook I call courtesy of w g R.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Chris Brown and James Cook living up to that contract
Matt he Is.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
By the way, both backup quarterbacks saw action this one.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Mitchell Trubisky one of two for thirty two yards, out
pacing Jets starter Justin Fields, who had three of eleven
for twenty seven total yards in this one of the
quarterback rating of thirty nine point six. How Rod Taylor
came on after Field's concussion, went seven eleven fifty six
yards and the Jets loan touchdown passing it to Jeremy Rucker.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Hey, I can get used to that Cook to going
to cut it back, I mean, and that's exactly what
he did against Green.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
And you know, Jets defense coach by.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Aaron Glenn, I thought they would have more of an answer,
but they had no answer.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
That you guys see Josh Allen's nose that the press
cooff see the game is cushion blood.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
That was I don't only had a hundred and forty
eight passing yards, but they barely needed it, as they
absolutely destroyed the Jets, who couldn't do anything on defense
or offense.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
As a look at a football player's bleeding Seahawks hit
the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Steelers rookie running back making mistakes, third and goals from.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
The nineteen Walker now in the backfield, JSN wind to
the left side of Walker's gonna get the toss. He's
long left side, He's got some blocking. He turns up.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
Philly's down at tide to five, cut down Seahawks Ken
Walker the third.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
No mistakes from the Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker the third.
That call courtesy of Kiro Steve Rabel.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Yeah, if anybody saw it, it was the special teams
play where Caleb Johnson let the ball just bounce in
the end zone. Seattle came down recovered it for a touchdown,
and that was with the twelve forty six left in
the fourth. All these Steelers could do was get a
field goal after that to get a twenty four to seventeen,
and then Keneth Walker capped it at three forty seven
left with a nineteen yard touchdown. Sam Darnold still throw
(27:54):
interceptions through two of them. Aaron Rodgers not as good
as he was in the debut eighteen to thirty three
two oh three a touchdown, two interception makes the Rudolph
came on for two pass plays as well.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
I thought this was gonna be someone of a Rams
revenge game for DK Metcalf, but it didn't really live
up to that building because he only had twenty yards
on six targets and you mentioned those Aaron Rodgers interceptions.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
It's amazing. What a difference week one to week two
mix that can't Speaking of week one to week two,
Rams take it on the Titans. Big, what's coming?
Speaker 5 (28:26):
Stafford heat from his heels, hitch Davonte hitch a touchdown
back right pylon, Adams first as a Ram touchdown? Alleys,
how about the gut from Stafford?
Speaker 6 (28:39):
How about the catch from Davante that called courtesy of
KSPN JV long.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, Rams boat raced them. But you know there's there's
some fight in the Titans. I just think I think
they've got the right personnel. I just think they've got
the raw coaching. Thirty three nineteen the final in this
one Stafford twenty three to thirty three, two ninety eight,
two touchdowns, Campboard nineteen to thirty three, one seventy five
and one touchdown. Toy Poler twenty carries ninety two yards
for the Titans. But in the end, you know, Tennessee
just no match for the Rams.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
Well, the one thing that the Titans can do are
they showed they could do last year with Tony Pollard
is running the ball, being able to have ball distribution
to have we've seen his outside the numbers that worked
for you. That is still a work in progress, but
I'll say keep out on this young man, cam board man.
He's gonna have a great career, mad he is.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
How about the Carolina Panthers act my undefeated Arizona Cardinals.
Speaker 9 (29:27):
Back to pass, Murray fires en zone middle of the
field and Michael Wilson goes up high to make the
catch and it's a touchdown with four seconds left.
Speaker 7 (29:35):
Of the half. What a dart on target.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
Hurry to Wilson, that call courtesy of Dave pass with KMVP,
And maybe Ben.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Was right about the Cardinals. The Cardinals started off on
the wrong foot.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Bryce Young fumbled right away, is Avin Collins recovered it
and returned it for a touchdown and it was all
Cardinals from there. Cardinals let a little bit off the
gas in the late in the third quarter, and you
know you saw the Carolina try to take advantage of that,
getting three touchdowns there in the between two ten left
and the third quarter. At the end of the game,
but still losing twenty two to twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
I love how you call it your card news and
all this. You have that for right now, But I
see the cardon as being the same way. They still
don't play a great amount of defense. Well, luckily they
have a tight end by the name of Trey McBride,
so as long as they keep throwing him the rut,
they should be Okay.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
The Eagles pushing their way ahead of the Chiefs.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Now, there's still plenty of time left. Yeah, but this
could be the game right here. Take us play Hurts
under the center, they push, they shove, and.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
He's doing touch down.
Speaker 6 (30:45):
I call courtesy of Meryl Reese with WIP and the
Eagles living up to the Super Bowl win beating the
Chiefs once again.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, this a game didn't feature a lot of great
passing Jayalen Hurts fifteen at twenty two for one hundred
and one yards, have a Home sixteen twenty nine one
hundred and eighty seven yards, a touchdown and interception.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Mahome also led the Chiefs hit rushing seven carries sixty
six yards at a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Not a good recipe for not a great recipe long
term for success there, A J. Brown continues to be
mostly a non factory. They spammed him with a couple
of slants. I think he had like five catches twenty
seven yards, but he continues to be a non factor,
and there's some whispers that he might be a trade
target as he gets a little in content with his
role there in Philly.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Well, we remember the scene last year when A. J.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Brown was on the sideline reading some book during the
game because he wasn't really involved as much in the
Eagles offense. But once again, does it say more about
the Eagles or say more about Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
And that I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
The one thing I will say is the Eagles keep
fall starting on those touch pushes.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Never will get called on those things.
Speaker 8 (31:47):
Here.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Eventually, Falcons at the vikis.
Speaker 8 (31:50):
Second out of gold Pannick under center with an offset
eye behind them. Algier is the running beast. Hennex gets
the snam he's back hand off. Algier runs the right
hash strolls into the end zone.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Touchdown Falcons.
Speaker 6 (32:03):
That call courtesy of west Wood one Ryan rag Key
and what a.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Dud of a Sunday night game man and the five
field goals for the Falcons win this thing.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
They did get a touchdown as well.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
JJ McCarthy eleven to twenty one, one hundred and fifty
eight yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions. I also lost a
fumble in that one and lost himself a little bit
of an injury. Carson Wentz going to be the starter
for Minnesota next week.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
You know, he's one thing that's crazy. This is why
the league is a week to week league. Minnesota play
the defensive rivals in the Chicago Bears, and everyone was
like DJ McCarthy, yeah, on all of this, and then
now you come out against the Falcons at home and
you don't really play that well.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
He didn't play that well for three quarters against the
Bears either.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Well, I guess it wasn't like those early three quarters
against the Bears. And then he played well in the
fourth quarter, Yeah, to make you forget about first three antibodis. Yes,
but he didn't really show up, didn't really make things happen.
They could really rush the ball, and even though Justin
Jefferson had three receptions of six targets for eighty one yards,
it still wasn't enough.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah. And then lastly Froncus Colts.
Speaker 9 (33:10):
So they call the Yomo Wazerrique firm leverage and now
this will be spotted at the thirty five in between
the hash marks an attempt of forty five yards snap placement, kick.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
On the way and Nicoles went Broncos camp believe it.
Nick Benito just slammed his helmet on the ground. He's
down there pounding his fist on the field. That's a
heartbreaker there.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
And that call, of course, of course from Dave Logan
and Riculois Cartesy.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Of you know us man, what's up with this?
Speaker 3 (33:47):
The closest music to the Red Wedding.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
It's a game of throne.
Speaker 10 (33:50):
It was inside ended bo ditch twenty two thirty two
six three touchdowns and a pick twenty on the ground
as well Danny Dimes twenty three thirty four touchdown as
well as one all on the ground.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
We come back, roomy beans going to join us right here.
A broke this country tonight
