Speaker 1 (00:00):
We've got Colorado Rockies baseball coming up about an hour.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I think it is there great seven o'clock, seven o'clock
on the top. UH. Nicky Edward's gonna join us talk
a little bit of see you Buff's football here in
a little while. I always look forward to get a
chance to uh to talking to Nikki about that. UH
here to answer your questions, talk about whatever you guys
want to talk about.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Five six six nine zeros text line. I do want
to uh.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I do want to continue on because yesterday I felt
like I had a little bit of trouble explaining the
math behind why the Broncos one hundred percent should have gone.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
For is on fourth and one. Seems like I had
a little trouble explaining it there.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
At the end of Kors, they were, yeah, they were
just gonna be you know, they were piling off and
we're piling.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
And pilot on.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I'm like, I'm gonna win more football games than you
doing this, though, and the reason that you do it
is because it gives you.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
The greater win outcome.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
The Broncos were at eighty two percent to win prior
to that play, so coming with that play coming up,
they were eighty one point eight percent at the win.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Right, immediately after.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Punting the ball, you're already down to fifty seven percent
to win. That's a twenty four percent loss of probability
to win the game just by punting the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
There.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I get the adage of making an opponent work for it.
I get the adage you put your defense and give
it on the maximum of space. But in this particular case,
it didn't matter, right, It didn't matter. In fact, the
only saving grace out of it is that they got
a huge The Charger's got a huge chunk play that
actually gave us time with the ball back, and we
didn't do anything with the reality is, you have no

(01:34):
better odds of completing a play than getting a half.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yard out of one play.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
You're better than fifty percent to get that play, right,
you're almost sixty percent to get that play even if
you don't get it.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
The good news about being backed up to the.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Twenty nine in that situation is the Chargers can only
get two first downs if they milk if they try
to milk everything out of the clock, and still because
you're up a touchdown, they have to get a touchdown.
Can only get two first downs, you're going to get
the ball back. So what you're doing in effect that
at that particular point in time, is limiting the damage

(02:08):
that opposing offense can do to you.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Now, again, a huge.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Saving grace that they actually got a chunk play on us,
And I know that sounds backwards, but they got down
there so fast that it allowed us to get the
ball back. The idea here should have been, Okay, we
either get this thing and we're back in control with
another set of downs.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Or we don't.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
And since it's on the twenty nine yard line, they
can only get two first downs before scoring, which means
we're definitely getting the ball back one way or the other.
So if even if they score, it doesn't matter. Even
if they get that touchdown, it doesn't matter. Even if
they go for a two point conversion, they get a
one point lead, it doesn't matter because we're getting the

(02:47):
ball back with the opportunity to win, and it'll be
the last possession, last series of the game. Now, if
you don't trust your offense, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
What's trust our offense right now? I mean that's but
that's where we're at.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
You're probably going to get better field position if they
do score off the kickoff, you could have an opportunity
to return it with our our stellar return guy, Marvin
Mims are all Pro caliber returner, and you're going to
set yourself up for the final possession either way.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
You're not putting it in the hands of anybody else.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
You've been so close all game with the just off,
the fingertips on passes and everything else.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I just don't see the scenario in which you take it.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
You voluntarily see a twenty four percent chance of winning
to punt the football, and oh, by the way, maybe
put it to a situation where you may not get
the ball back.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Control the game, control the clock, and.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
The rules inside of about seven to five minutes left
in a football game are different than they are at
any other point a football game because there's an additional
condition to factor in.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
It's the end of the game.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
And I recognize that a lot of this sounds like
Madden talk or nerd talk or whatever you want to do.
But the reality is, if you've played enough Madden, you've
seen this play out thousands of times. It doesn't matter
if you get the fourth and one. If you get it,

(04:26):
you're that much better. But if you don't get it.
They can only get two first downs on you, maximum
it doesn't matter if your defense doesn't stop them. The
best thing that they can do, the best possible outcome
they can possibly have, is to go up one point
on you with a two point conversion, which we saw
they didn't do. They kick the extra point, which was
the smart play.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
So the best possible conditions still.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Arrive with you with the ball in your hands, with
plenty of time, with plenty of timeouts to be able
to go down, and all you have to get at
that point is a field goal. You don't have to
go down and get a touchdown. So it's it's it
is a it is a multi phase problem, right, multi
step problems. Step one, do we or do we not?

(05:14):
Get half a yard on fourth down? If we do,
we continue on. We got the seven point leads, so
much the better. If we don't, they get the ball
back on the twenty nine yard line and they have
to get a touchdown and they can only get two
first downs to do it.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
There's five fifteen left in the game.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
We're gonna get the We got the two minute warning
backstop on top of it. We don't even have to
burn timeouts on this they get the ball back, do
they score. If they don't score, we take over it again.
We're in a great position. We're gonna win.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
They do score.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Okay, now we're tied or down one point with the
ball and the opportunity to go get the field goal
all we got. We got plenty of we got two
timeouts and plenty of time to go get down there.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
And get in field goal range.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
And like I keep saying, it's just math, and people
are like, I don't know the math works on the
football field. I'm telling you how it works on the
football field. You're squeezing your opponent. You got a seven
point lead, You're squeezing them into one possession. This is
why I constantly talk about end game clock management, because
it's an additional variable that people don't factor in. The

(06:21):
roles are the first three and a half quarters of
a football game don't apply in the Latin because you
have one other condition that you're up against and you
need to factor in, and the.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Great coaches do that.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I'm not talking about turning this team into a Dan
Campbell always go for it on fourth down team. I'm
not talking about turning this into a Brandon Staley We're
gonna let the nerds make the decisions. You remember when
he was coaching with it, and they would go forward
to these ridiculous situations.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
That's when the Chargers used to Chargers.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, and there was, and they would go forward in
the most absurd situations. You don't have to I'm not
talking about duo and all that. Throw out everything you
know and listen to what I'm telling you right now.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
You're squeezing. It's just game theory.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
You're squeezing your opponent into one possession versus the possession
you have now and one you're definitely gonna get afterwards.
It's a two for one and you have the lead.
You're hoping your defense stops them, but if they don't,
it doesn't actually matter.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
They played at the old school football way, and of
course they lost. They punted Chargers, came down, got touched down.
Then they goose egged on their next drive in some
absolutely befuddling clock management on that too.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Why in the world.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
On second down you throw a screen pass to the
flat on the right side of the two minute warning.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
And they'll let the clock run down of two minutes.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
That's a de facto time out, you'd already burned a timeout,
you only had two that's your third time out. So
what do you do on second down with twenty two
seconds to go before the two minute warning?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Take the deep shot? Because what happens, it's incomplete clock stops.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
You needed that de facto two minute warning time out
if you didn't get it.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
And so these are the kinds of things that, for.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Whatever reason, it just blow my mind. The teams blow
past in these games and then you know they're like, oh,
I don't know, you know, we did what we could.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Well, no, you really didn't.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Your job as a coach just to create the highest
possible margins. Your job as a coach is to maximize
the percentages and the odds for your players so they
can go out and execute. And I feel like I'm
taking crazy pills here because something that seems so incredibly
obvious to me is something that gets pushed.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Back from people.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
You create a two for one situation where none of
the outcomes matter because you're going to get the ball last,
rather than put your tired defense back on the field
and give the opportunity for the Chargers to just close
out on you. And the reality was you could see
how tired they were. The Chargers had two drives lasting

(09:07):
a total of fifteen plays, and they scored on both
of them. The other part of this is your teams
have been don't break defense this year.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
That's what we've been early, So give them the short field.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Opponents have had eleven trips to the red zone against
the Broncos and only come away.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
With three touchdowns. I'm betting on that.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
The Matthew is insanely clear, and I just, for whatever reason,
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I have
to continue to explain this over and over to people.
And it's something that and maybe it is obvious to
me because I've played obscene them out of Madden and
you know, in college football over the years. But I
will tell you that some of the best endgame minds
are people that do that.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
And you know why, It's because they get the reps.
It's the same.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
And there are some poker play these the novice poker
players when they when they jump into the big tournaments,
it's the guys who've.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Been playing forever that are gonna win.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
You know why, because they've seen tens of thousands of
hands and while they don't know everything.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
They're playing the odds. The odds aren't all they're not
one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
There's no guarantee, but you sort of get an idea
of what the smart play is from having seen that
many reps. It's the same thing. And that's the reason
that the whole like knit well Madden stuff. And that's
the reason I find that to be in a way insulting,
but I'll let it slide. More comical. I'm getting reps
on endgame management. I have tens of thousands of reps

(10:47):
on endgame management. I'm telling you what the smart thing
to do here is five six sixty nine zeros a
text line. Got some great texts coming in. Somebody calling
me in Mike rabelone nine says kick it back and stuff.
I'm rather than letting them score. Well, they did kick
it back, and what happened. We're going to right down

(11:11):
the field on your tired defense.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
You play man defense all game, Guess what happens by
the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
You get pretty tired. Zone defenses tend to be a
little fresher two one, three me someone who would go
for it on fourth and three or less, no matter what.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Believe you. Then you tell them, you get it. You
and Mel Gibson, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Going for it on fourth and three and those like
This is just incredibly niche situational football.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
It's incredibly specific situational football.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
You're you're betting on three conditions here. First, that you
can pick up half a yard. Second, that if you
don't pick up a half yard, that because your opponent
is limited and they can only get two first downs,
that either your defense will stop them or they're going
to score.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
And you're going you're definitely.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Getting the ball back with enough time and time out.
You don't have to burn your timeouts. You're gonna get
the ball back with enough time and timeouts to be
able to go down.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
And get a field goal. They have to get a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
That punt took you from eighty one point eight percent
chance to win that football game to fifty one point four.
It was the single losory ish decision you could have made.
And for a coach that was going forward on fourth
and whatever deep shots all game, I'm like, bro, this

(12:48):
reminds me of the line from the movie Serenity, the
follow up to the great television show Firefly, when the
twins are telling mal He said, you run when you
on a fight, you fight when you on a deal.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
And it's just one of those things I just don't understand.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
You're an offensive coach. You're constantly telling us how much
you believe in your guys. You don't believe in him.
You get a half a yard this team, which is
one of three that you felt like could get a
Super Bowl. There's nobody missing on that offense outside of

(13:33):
Evan Ingram. I had to put it in JK. Dobbins hands.
Get me a half a yard. You want to revenge
on your former team, go get me half a yard.
And I'm telling Wattenberg and I'm telling Quinn Minors.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
He's coming right between you two. Get him half a yard. Now.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
I'm not gonna belabor this one anymore, but I just
it frustrates me to know, and it frustrated to the
point where today I'm sitting there and I've had multiple
people reach out, regular pro you know, guys who played
the game, guys who haven't that are like, yeah, you're
absolutely right, And privately people will say if I'm right,
even if they won't say it publicly.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
I don't understand it.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
I don't get it, and that loss puts Sean Payton
at nineteen and nineteen as the head coach of the
Never Broncos.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
He's a five hundred coach since he's been here. I
think he's a big Madden guy. I can guarantee you
he's not.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
But somebody on that staff has got to has got
to be to know in that and got to have
a voice in that headset that's loud enough to say, guys,
trust me on this one. It sounds stupid, but believe
in me on this one. The math is mathing. We
are one hundred percent. Go give me your best run play.

(15:09):
Tell the offensive line, you know, dig deep. These guys
have been kicking your butt all day. Dig deep and
get me half a yard when it counts. Brocaus Country
Night Back with Nicky Edwards.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
After this, let's go out to.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
The can't we cousin of the hotline and bring on
our good friend Nicky Edwards talk a little see you, buff, Nicky?

Speaker 1 (15:26):
How you doing good?

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Her?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Are you?

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Guys?

Speaker 5 (15:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
You know, I'm just arguing football minutia and being upset
about it, but uh.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
See you buffs.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
They got the win against Wyoming, not exactly a powerhouse
of a school, but you know, you got to win
the games that.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Are put in front of you.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
You've got BYU coming to town this week, and b
why you of course favored in that one. But do
we think that the CU bufs maybe maybe they finally
got Cayden Salterer where they wanted, we.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Settled on a quarterback, or we are we ready to
take on.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
BYU being ready to take on BYU.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I think there's.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Questions on both sides of the ball. But Caiden Salter
is the guy. I think this is something we all knew,
and this team has been really interesting through four weeks
because we all knew that Caiden Salter was going to
be the starting guy, and then the competition with Bryan
Stop and what happened in Houston and then three hundred
and four yards three touchdowns last weekend. Caine Salter is

(16:24):
doing both on the ground and in the air, and
he has to be the.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Guy moving forward.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
BYU's defense, though, I mean, they haven't really been battle tested.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
This season, playing Portland State, Stanford, and East Carolina for
their first three games, so BYU is looking for, you know,
a lot of a bit more grit in their opponent.
Colorado's going to deliver that for them. BYU's defense, man,
it's the top, it's the second ranked defense and SBS
right now. Of course against those three opponents, Colorado's offense

(16:55):
is going to be tested. Colorado's defense, I think we're
seeing some more improvement there, lying less yards for cherry
and a lot less yards on the ground.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
But as we've seen, these four games are up and downs.
In Houston, man, that was that was a tough watch.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
So I think BYU is gonna come with their best
and what they leaned on last year their defense is
what they're going to lean on.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
This season in the Big twelve, And yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
It's gonna be a challenge as this off Colorado offense
is looking to emerge in the past game and the
run game and finally finding their footing.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
On that side of the ball.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Well, hopefully the offense is able to score more than
last year when they only got fourteen points despite the
defense generating a bunch of turnovers against BYU and the
December twenty eighth game last year, BYU winning that one
thirty six fourteen. You're just you're hoping for more production
out of the offense. But the defense did a job
last year. What can they do to improve and what

(17:51):
can see you do to try to generate more turnovers
against Bear Blackmeyers and they got against the three headed
quarterback attack they faced last year.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
I mean, yeah, it's a.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Lot different personnel group.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
And with Bear.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Bockmeyer, he's a true freshman. Through three games, he has
five hundred and eighteen yards and four touchdowns. He's able
to run sixty five rushing yards this season and four
rushing touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
They're able to move.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
On the ground, and as we've seen just they're a
really run heavy offense, and where Colorado kind of slips
up is those run heavy offenses. They are struggling to
stop the run a little bit.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
But now I've just.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Been looking forward to a more physical front.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
We're going to be missing and Quinn.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
Barnes up front, he got adjective for targeting against Wyoming,
so he'll be missing the first half starting interior defensive
lineman there.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
But I think there's enough depth on that defensive line.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
Where they can handle that offensive front and hopefully be
more gap sound and be more physical in the first
level and the second level of the defense.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
I'm looking for.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
DJ McKinney has been good through the first four games,
but I'm really hoping to see some Georgia Tech. Has
he gott an interception against Georgia Tech another interception from him,
just so maybe a little bit more production and turnovers
because I.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Think they're Bachmeyer. I mean, he hasn't thrown.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
An interception yet against Portland State, Stanford Eastern Carolina, but.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
I think with his youth, it is capable for him.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
To have some slip ups.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
Colorado just has to put pressure on the quarterback. I
think that's something we've been missing, especially with these running
quarterbacks that they dealt with with Georgia Tech and Houston.
So as long as BYU is maybe not running the
ball as much, I would like to see Colorado's defense
really take that step. But if they do run the ball,
and I think they I imagine they will run the ball,

(19:39):
they have to be prepared to actually stop the quarterback, not.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Allow these big runs and big games. And they have LJ. Martin.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
LJ.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
Martin was a guy at the VYU game in the
bowl game.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
He had one hundred and three yards in that game against.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
Colorado and then he had one hundred yards last week,
and they really have to be targeting him and scouting
for him because he is a running back that can
really do some damage to Colorado's defense.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Tyker Vi, Dickie Whe's bus beat Ryder editor, Yeah, who's sports.
You know, it felt like they finally got a mari
and Miller going in that last game against Wyoming.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
He's had a one off.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
We're finally going to see a guy who's shown flashes
but never really put it together consistently. Is a new
number one receiver here at Colorado.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
I mean, I think we're finally seeing the past game
as a whole really come to fruition. Kden Salter feels
more confident in the pocket. Coach Prime was looking for
consistency in leadership with him, and I think Cayden Salter,
after taking a step back, is realizing.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Hey, I don't want to be I don't do not
want to be.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
The backup quarterback. And he was able to connect with
not even not only O Marion Miller, but Gerald Timmins
and Cier Brown's Raylon Miller. Eight wide receivers, actually nine
wide receivers got involved in the past game, and of
course O Marion Miller. He is the guy that Colorado
really needs to lean on. There's so much versatility and
there's such a deep rotation the wide receiver room, they

(21:01):
have to be utilizing them correctly. Yes, Pat Trimmer does
love the screen pass, but of course we saw against
the Georgia Tech game sometimes the wide receivers weren't blocking
correctly and some of that execution.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Was falling short.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Now we've see in the pass game, Pat Trimmer going
outside outside of the screen pass, really utilizing more of
the playbook to get playmakers like Omarion Miller and those
really talented wide receivers more integrated in such an important
piece of the offense. Because I know Pat Trimmer loves
loves to pass the ball and they're trying to get
the run game going. But this is where the production

(21:35):
is is in the hands of the multitude of pass
catchers that they have on this offense.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Hey, Nikki Grant here And in the most important Buffs news,
Ralphie seven made a return to the run before the
game last week. What did you make of the inaugural
run for Ralphie seven and what are we expecting this
weekend against BYU.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
I think we all really we wanted Ralphie be fast
because the last route Ralphie.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
Six which is kind of like a chill girl.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
She just wanted to hang out, eat her grass and
do her thing. She wasn't really a running girl. But
Ralphie seven she she did everything that the fans wanted.
She was super fast, She ran past the fifty.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
She did her job, she did it well.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
I think all the fans are really excited to see
Ralphie run fast because even at the BYU Colorado game
in San Antonio. Now, I think that was Ralphie Stick's
last impression of you know, she's even tired of the season.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
She's just not running faster.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Evans looks like she's ready for every single game, every halftime.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
She is a Buffalo Bison, American.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Bison, seven hundred pound American Bison that loves to run.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
TALKO to Nicki Edwards from Yahoo's Sports. Okay, all right, as.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
We look at this thing and we're looking forward here,
what does Colorado need to do this season?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Coach Prime got the.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Extension this offseason, there's no Stor, there's no Travis Hunter
or five hundred two and two extra four games in.
What does Prime need to do the rest of this season?
What is the statement that this season needs to make?

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Oh? Man.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
I mean, they're up against a really tough opening conference
schedule BYU and then you.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
Got TCU in Fort Worth I always stay, and then Utah.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
So a lot is going to be revealed about this
team against against all these big twelve teams that I
have been doing really good to open their season.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
I think the way they need they make a statement is.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Resolve a lot of the beginning of the.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Season issues, the run game, opening up, the run defense,
being more versatile in the secondary. Of course, with every
football team, so there's things to fix.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
But I think for coach Prime to really make.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
A statement, of course, is to get these statement wins,
because right now they do seem a little unattainable with
the way that the team is playing. In some of
the corrupts and errors that they made against the Houston game,
we can only go back and look at previous film,
and in that Houston film, it's like this team has
no identity right now. But they come and to play

(24:08):
against Wyoming, who Mount West team, it's a little bit
more of a palpable opponent. This is the team that
we want to see. Now, can they apply the same
production four hundred and ninety seven yards on offense and
holding their opponent under four hundred yards on offense as well.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Can they maintain that same.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Production and limit these really versatile opponents, because I feel
like you can find ways to expose this Colorado team,
especially on the ground, So maintaining a strong defensive front.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
And allowing Kid Saltzer to do.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
What he's good at and really break open the offense.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Let him operate in the pocket.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
He's good at scrambling out and finding his receivers. Let
him play and let him find the fluidity and precision
that we all know of he's capable of. This offensive
line has been playing a lot better this season.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
There's no reason why there should be a.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
Lack in offensive production, and I think as the season goes,
they're working.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Out some of these kinks.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
But this four game stretch is going to be really
where we learn a lot about this team and how
they handle adversity and how can they maybe come out
with some wins against these veteran run heavy teams.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Nicky Edwards covers to see you beaten. Obviously the editor
for YEAHO Sports appreciate you as always.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Yeah thanks for having me on.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Absolutely take care that what was the time for that
one end of the game. Oh yeah, okay, there you go. Yep,
you know, just the thing you've been ranting and raving about. Yeah,
you know it pays attention to what I rant about.
I don't even pay attention to what.

Speaker 6 (25:46):
You have ended the game for your guy in New York,
Russell Wilson, heyeah, your BET's.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Not going to be looking too good.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Well, maybe Zach and I were text about this earlier.
Like the funniest thing ever would be for this to
end on a three three, one to one tie when
both guys get benched for other quarterback after three weeks
this season, right, that would be the funniest thing.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
And then we're both secretly rooting for some kind.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Of like either blowout that they get in or like
some kind of uh, you know, injury where they get
back here to win.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
The lard Man that Jets offense looks better with Torod
Taylor and we.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Better with Tyrond Taylor in there, So we'll see how
that works out. Colorad Rocky's got mccaid brown up against
Bryce Miller of the Seattle Mayers. Tonight, McCay brown owned
four nine one seventy al a Bryce Miller four and
five with a five five eight e r a the
Rockies who have won forty three games this year and
eclipsed what they needed to not be the worst of

(26:38):
all time.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
Just epically terrible. Yeah, what what's better in the end?

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Do you think? So we don't want to be the worst?
I'm like, yeah, you want if you're.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Gonna be bad, be historically bad. At least there's something there.
You know, Well they tried this year. Yeah, they couldn't
even get that right. Got a few other things to
get out here. I talked about the kickoffs again. Teams
should be knuckling the ball, should be knuckleball in the squib,
kicking into the setup zone. It's working. There's two teams
that are doing it and it's working, Carolina and the Rams.
Everybody else is giving opponents five extra yards a field position.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Something to talk about.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Coming up this week here on Brookos Country tonight, but
we will give way here to Jerry and Jack Let's
colorad of Rockies take on the Seattle Mariners next right here.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Tall you know we we will be cooked
