Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ber some Shanon Scott. Ryan Edwards is still here. I
think he's waiting for me to cuss on the air.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Uh. Shout out to uh Grant Smith's weld Works beer.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
As Neil came by, he said he's gonna get Grant
some some hookups on some stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
So looking forward to uh to getting that for Grant,
who loves well worked beer.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
When you asked about it, he said, yes, he's going
to give you something full Grant.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Now the question is will make it to Grant. Yes,
that's the biggest thing. Probably not what a bummer. He
might as well give it to me and then it
will make it to Yes. Yes, smart thing. That's a
smart thing to do. Right. Edwards is still here. I
see him right there.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
He's uh, he's looking at me all crazy. I think
he's waiting for me to cuss all the air. I'm
not sure.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Uh, he's just he's sitting here. He looks like he's uh.
He looks like he's ready to collect on a bet.
He looks like look at him. He looks like he's
ready for me. He looked like he's ready to collect.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
On a bet on something that I was gonna say
We're all gonna have somebody's from Lugger Heath.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
This here, this, that'll be a lot of fun. I
don't know if you Nick.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
You've been watching, We've been watching this Giants at the
Eagles game. Right now, the Eagles are back up seventeen thirteen.
This one's been but a boat race early. The Giants
jumped out for the early.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Lead and they have the ball right now. This, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Does this take the luster off of the Broncos win
over the Eagles?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Watching the Giants give them everything they ask everyone for me, it.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Does just ever so slightly, as Ryan Air was shakes
his head. But the reason I say this is because
these are two opponents that the Broncos have recently played
in the Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles. And oh, by
the way, after the game in London versus the New
York Jets, the Broncos come back to host these same

(01:46):
New York Giants.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
And I know there was a conversation.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Earlier this week whether this game and London versus the
New York Jets is a trap game.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
No, that's not.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
But watching the Giants play and play with such enthusiasms
with Jackson Dart as the young quarterback in the defense
of Brian Burns rushing off the edge. It makes next
Sunday not not to look too far ahead the Sunday
after the next game really intriguing to see how the
Giants are gonna come out on the row and play

(02:16):
against the Denver Bronco get home.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yeah. You know a lot of people talking about the
Jets game being the trap game.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I think that, you know, I have said it several times.
I think the Giants game is really sort of the
trap game. The Giants will be on ten days rest,
we only have at that point in time, we will
only have three games of tape on Jackson Dark to
really kind of try to try to break down some
of the tendencies that he has. This is the first
game of tyrone. Tracy has been back so split back
field between him and kept Scattabo there for the Giants

(02:43):
and the Giants defense better than people think it is.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
They've got some dogs up front.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Man, they got Dexter, Lawrence Abdell Carter, Brian Burns. They
got some guys that will get after the passer.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, they have some guys that if you're Gin's a coordinator,
you will love to have the defensive unit in the
pass rush just like that up front, and that group
could give the Broncos offensive lines some issues. And then
you know, just being a football fan myself, I was
high on Cams Cattaboo coming out of Arizona State.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I can't wait to see him play.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I love his physicality in the South of Brandon football
that he runs with.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's kind of old school, and you made kind.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Of comments about it that it is the type of physical.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Running that you wanted today's game. But when you look long.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Term for Camscattabu, you just seems as though he's gonna
have somewhat of a short life.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
But that's gonna be a real intriguing game because.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
These giants have done an effective job knowing as though
they don't really have the personnel like the Denver Broncos,
but they played well best fat and if they keep
treating in this right direction, one they're gonna say Joe
Shane and Brian Dabels' job, but also that they could
become a destination where free agents want to go.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Well, and that's the thing where we're at next year.
You getting leak neighbors back. You sort of like this
one two punch they got in the run game.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
That is my concern with his offense. You've got you've
got Jackson Dart, You've got Cam Scannable, and both the
way the ways that both those guys play leads you
to believe those are short shelf life guys because both
those guys seek out contact as runners.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
That's the last thing you want to see out of
a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I get it out of a running back, but that
tends to be a one contract guy.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, it tends to.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
But it's really exciting for whatever that window is. It
is very exciting to watch and just think a moment
when we when we look at the NFL as a
whole lot of thirty two teams, but we're constantly looking
for star power right and right now.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
The New York.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Giants definitely have that, and Brian Dabo did a great
job when he was the golfensive coordinated for the Buffalo
Bills with another mobile quarterback and Josh Allen.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I'm not saying Jackson Dart is.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Josh Allen will will be the next Josh Allen, but
it is really intriguing to find a dual threat quarterback
that can threaten you and just kind of put pressure
on your defense on the perimeter as far as throwing
the ball, but also inside.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Running the ball as well.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah, it's gonna be an interesting challenge for the Broncos.
Of course, they have the New York Jets before that.
The Jets are a team that just seems like they're
in disarray. I mean, you're talking about a team that
had defensive pieces. The defense under Bob Sala when he
was there looked pretty good. They've got most of the
same pieces there, but under Aaron Glenn have just not
clicked in terms of what they need to be. On

(05:20):
the offensive side of the ball, it's been a disaster.
Bright Lenn Allen is injured. They really don't have any
receivers outside of Garret Wilson and Mason Taylor at the
tight end. The rookie you know, brace Hall is doing
his part in the backfield, but justin fields has not
been particularly effective outside of you know, garbage time. And
so this is a team that on both sides of
the ball, outside of special teams, just really sort of

(05:40):
look lost.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Well, yeah they do.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
And this is a team that can say, well, they
were similar to the Broncos and the first have of
a lot of their games. And what I mean by
that is not starting Fats, waiting to the fourth quarter
where the game is out of reach to now Padna's
stats assisially and this is where the Broncos have to
be really careful. With a team like the Jets, they're

(06:05):
desperate for their first win right now.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Aaron Glenn is on a history making pad.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Not just for the NFL, but the New York Jets
as well. So with teams like this, man, they're like postles.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And if you ever.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Come across a possum and you cort it to possum
against the wall, I mean, they're gonna show you their
teeth and they're gonna grab. They're gonna do everything they
can to make you feel as though, hey, I need
to back away from this damn possum.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
But this is where the Jets are right now.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
They're willing to try anything and they're desperate. Those types
of teams make it really difficult because coming into the game,
you say, well, you've watched five of their previous games,
how are you gonna prepare for them? You don't really know,
because this team is gonna be a gidget gadget team,
probably on Sunday because they're trying to generate some type
of offense, some type of defense to get either side.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Of the ball going. Yeah, it's gonna be an interesting
game in London.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Obviously we'll have all the coverage here starting at four
thirty am.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yes, Whoa'll be on the air at four thirty am.
That is a real thing, that's really happening on KOA.
And then obviously taking it all the way up beat
to get your coffee, ivy.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Now, yeah, I'm gonna do something, well, well we will obviously,
I'm all the coverage here starting four thirty am.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
All we have to kick off and then of.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Course the game right here on KOA with Dave Logan
Rickulus on the call.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
So's you warding on the.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Sideline and you and myself will be down at the
pajama party, yes, at burn out okay, So so I
already picked out my pajama outfit with with Moroe.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Okay. Oh wait, you are doing the road, doing the road,
so don't leave me. Hang it, I'm wearing pajamas. Okay,
all right, I'll tell you I like did you want
me to spoil the surprises?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
No? No, no, no no no no no, no, no, all I.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
All I need to know is that you're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I'm sure it probably has some kind of floral patterns.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Is regular regular ass pajamas? Okay, all right, I'm just
saying with the party at the.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Burn now at seven am, on on, and I will
tell you Burndown's got some pretty good breakfast.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yes they do. Now I'm gonna have to try that
meal that you had last French toast with the mars Capone.
It was so it was so good, I'm gonna throw
what you had. You had the the eggs and uh
the Captain's breakfast there I did, and luckily profit was
there because I was my property.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I was able to prove to both of you guys
because the steak that I had with media you.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Had the breakfast steak. Yes, it was medium in the middle.
It was not medium on the end, clear, I mean
the end. It was well done. On the ends.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Oh, I can't catch a break, man, I want, I
can't catch a break on the ends?

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Why does the middle? No? No, no, not rare. It
was media medium.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, I'm saying when I ordered, it's gonna be a
little less done than that.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Seemed like that's thet Muller for me.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
But uh okay, but mine was quite delightful. I encourage
you to come down and check us out, burn down
on Sunday. And even if you don't check us out
on Sunday and burn down, hey, go down and burn
down at any time.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Man grab a meal, man's white said those guys. It
is the food of so gay so afternoon. It is
its own delicious thing.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You guys gotta try at the burn up any man,
come on down, and if you're gonna watch the game,
you want to watch a game with some people.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Come on down. We've got the little Pajama Party.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Going on Sunday morning, seven o'clock right there at the
Burden out on South Broadway.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
And you get your chance. You got a chance to
win tickets because you got Broncos take on the New
York Giants.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Who got a chance to win the getaway to Las
Vegas to see the Broncos take on the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Gotta be present to win.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
So if you want to get drag out of bed
that early, because I gotta drag out of bed that early,
it's gonna.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Be a lot of fun to see all together real quick.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
The ball check out I don't know if you've seen
this stuff from lately, but it looks like that's gonna
wrap itself after one season there in North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I thought that was a statement that was issue.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Could there have been a statement with fewer words in it.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
It was a statement nonetheless where it seems as though
he was dedicated to Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
They both put out this side, we have full confidence
and that's the case of death. That means they're firing
that guy. He's gone gone.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
It's not something that is written in stone until it
actually happens. It hasn't happened. And what they said today
both both the individual of North Carolina that's in charge
of Bill Belichick, they seem to be dedicated to moving
forward and making sure they turn this thing into something
other than if you askos been that's fars.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
What's worse the one season Urban Meyer had in the
NFL or the one.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Season Bill Belichick Addy fellas football? Urban Meyer for sure,
Remember now doesn't kick anybody yet he hasn't. Oh, he
didn't kick anyone. Remember what Ierbanmiam did.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
They tended against the Cincinnati beingles he's staying in Cincinnati
and the team went back.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
He's saying, at least at least the girl.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Grinding on Bill Belichick, is this girl thing exactly?

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Absolutely? But for Erbermia, that wasn't his wife. And he
had on Ohio state overcoat right like nobody.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Was gonna recognize Urban Meyer in Ohio head bar in Ohio.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Oh my goodness, ridiculous. Oh we come back.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
We canna finished preview in the Broncos versus the Jets,
and then we will talk to the people from the
who to strappest thing up. We got my front time
toto top of the hour. Here's the Broncos Country to.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Night right here, okay away.

Speaker 1 (11:31):

Speaker 2 (11:35):
At the studios. We do our program.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Excuse me, our promotions manager Miranda here as well, though
she won't jump on the air.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
She's shy. She just for whatever reason won't up on
the air. I see how it is thanks to Neil
from Welworks.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Who was on in the last hour and he's gonna
I think you can get our producer Grant Smith hooked
up with a little prize pack there because that's.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
His favorite worry. We love being on here at the
Great American beer Fest.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
There's there's a ton of stuff to do, a lot
of great interesting people to meet, and.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
We do have some tickets to give away to the
Great American beer Fest.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
So if you want to come out here and you

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Five eighty five, three oh three, seven to one to
three eighty five eighty five. We've got a pair of tickets,
para tickets, speranda, is it a parent, Yes, para tickets

Speaker 1 (12:25):
And so I got a news call and tell Zach
you want free admission and we'll get that hooked up.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
For you right away. Look for a senial donner.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Uh. The Eagles and Giants going into the half of
Giants with the lead going into the half, and Nick
I got to say, like, as as we're looking at
this is to take a little luster off the Broncos win.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah, it does, man, because I'll say, let me back
up for a second.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Let's just talk about the Giants and what they have
been able to do against opponents that the Broncos have
played against.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
And they are.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Executing we will, and usually you don't see that type
of execution from a young quarterback. But here's where Brian
dabol is doing a better job, and I think it's something.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
That every coach should.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Do, whether you have a young quarterback or veteran quarterback,
lean into what that quarterback does best. You're gonna get
the most out of that player and maximize his skill set.
In this case, they're allowing Jackson Dart to just be him,
take what's there. If there are vertical passes down the field,
which he's made some tonight, just allow him to do that.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
But other than that, if pocket breaks down and no.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
One's open, use your feet, and that in conjunction would
run the ball physically. With Cam Scattabuu and their defense,
I mean, we be just watching their defense be really
relentless and just looking at how they.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Allow align their guys and.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
That why nine technique is putting a lot of pressure
on the tackles from the Philadelphy Eagles. So it's gonna
be a really interesting game when the Giants with ten
days off face that Denver Broncos.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
For sure, Yeah, they got three guys that can run
the pack, rush the passer.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
You know, obviously you got next to Lawrence here in
the middle plugging up the ruggaps as far as I
guess that.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
But on the outside you got Brian Burns. He got
came on Thibadeau Abdul Carter and they like to use
Carter move him around like a chess piece. That's a
lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
You look at the Giants in the first half, Dark
ten of thirteen, one hundred and twenty seven yards and
a tuddy.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
He also is leading rusher on the team.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Four carries thirty eight yards and a touchdown there as well,
Windale Robinson, Couel, Jordan Humphrey. The leading receivers for the
Giants in the first half. Jalen Hurts fourteen of eighteen
also has a touchdown on hundred and six four yards.
Saque Mark he carries fifty six yards and they made
it concerned Africant aj Brown the ball five catches seventy
three yards for him. But this is this is fascinating

(14:48):
watching the Giants as they start to around into four
with Jackson Dart and you wonder if this is what
Brian Dable envisioned all long.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Yeah, this is definitely what he envisioned all along because
he identify Jackson Dart as being his quarterback of the future.
The one thing that at the very beginning of the season,
he just didn't think that throwing Jackson Dall into the
mix with the Wolves baptism by fire that usually happens
in the NFL was kind of the best remedy for him.
But then he knew that both he and Joe Shane

(15:18):
their jobs were on the line. So they need to
see this shell quarterback go out there and playing. And
so far, so much. I mean, he's done a great job. Now,
last week against the New all in the Saints wasn't
as great.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
As that first game against the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
But tonight in pon time, everyone gets a chance to
see Jackson Dart showcase his ability.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Yeah, and the Darts throwing a bullsse eye so far
the first half twenty seventeen Giants, I have the Eagles
as we are watching Thursday night football. One of the
interesting things about Dark is he's a mobile guy. Different
in his mobility. He's not Lamar Jackson, he's not Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
He's not those kind of guys. But he is mope.
He runs with sort of a power to his game.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
He tweaked the hamstring a little bit in the first game.
He had a little bit of a like an ankle
thing going on in the second game. I wonder if
that style is sustainable long term.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
It's certainly lending something to the Giants offense right.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Now, but I wonder if what he does is sustainable
over the sense of a whole season.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Well, it can be for the season.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
But when we talk about career wives, probably not. The
same could be said about cam'scoutap.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
With his physicality.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
But you always worry and concern about quarterbacks who get
outside the pocket, lose their legs, and they do it
at a high volume. You worry about the contact those
guys exposing themselves to contact, and.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
We've seen guys be successful in this league going it.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
I mean, Cam Newton made a career out of it,
but Jackson Guard is not Cam Mooton signs. The idea
is take a page out of Lamar Jackson Brook. When
the play breaks down, Lamar is gonna take But he
also is smart enough now opposed to when he was
a rookie that he's gonna get the yards and he's
gonna get down.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Either you get down or you get out of bounds
and the rules.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Now in the NFL, if you slide feet first, the league,
the fishers, they're gonna protect you. But if you slide
head first, and to me, it all is up for
grabs at that particular point.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
But it's about being smart.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Now. Once again, I will say doing running the ball
at somewhat would consistent level.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Of being careful.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
It is something that can actually help you out because
it puts the defense on their hues.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
But once again, you have to be smart with how
you do it. Yeah, you too, Hey, let's have you.
Let's have you grab a headset right there. It looks
like we've got a rep from laggarda brewing company. When
you say your your name was there? I'm sorry, Jeremy, Jemmy,
what's going on? Benjamin Albright? Nick Ferguson, you are live
right now? Or Anna broncoscription. I tell us a little

(17:54):
bit about Loggot's Brewery Company. All right.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
So Loggodina's Brewing Company is in northern Californifornia.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
The closest town that people have heard of, I say,
San Francisco. People know where that is.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
And it was founded in nineteen ninety three on the
founder's stove. He was a home brewer and he made
a big mess. He had a boil over sticky stuff everywhere.
The wife kicked him out, started a little brewery in
the back of a of like a like a woodshed,
and it just kind of went from there. It's, you know,
a pretty common story kind of home brewing all of

(18:25):
a sudden craft brewery.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
But ride in that early you know, nineties wave of
craft beer. What would you say is the calling card
of Loggasburg Coupy.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Oh, the calling card, Well, we like we'd like to
have fun. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and we
like to be inclusive. In fact, we like weirdos. Okay,
if you're into some weird you know, you collect some
creepy doll heads or stuff, We're like, come over having here.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
That's okay, Chad Scott, it is.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
A new favorite beer cut. It's a.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
No.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
The reason I was asked is like philosophically, you know,
everybody got their own thing as far as it goes.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
But I always want to know what like the signature
of a company is.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah, Well, we're a real dog friendly you know, you
think about cats and dogs and cat and dog people.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
We have a lot of people that do have cats,
but I don't trust cats. We're a dog brand. It
sounds like my brother, you never know what the cats
are up to say the way I look at I'm
too much of a cat already. I like to lay
around do nothing. I don't need the competition. I love dogs.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Yeah, well dogs just like they just love people, and
cats is they don't need people exactly.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
The way I've always said. It's like you feed and
you water. You pay attention to a dog, and it
thinks your God. You feed water and pay attention to
a cat, it thinks it's God.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're definitely uh uh, you know
a dog brand.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
We like to have fun. Uh sunshine. You know we're
up there. We got pretty good weather, but we don't
like to brag about that if people don't tell that.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
So how does this whole e collected way of thinking
counter filter itself into the brewing of the the beverage itself.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Well, that's a great question. I think what the primary
answer is, nothing is off the table. You know, home
humberers were known for being brave.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
They they might go to the.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Amazon and find some some fern or some bush. You know,
and then and then be like, this is really flavorful.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
I don't even know what it's called, but this is
going in my next batch, you know.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
So uh and as all the different trends have have happened,
like you know, these trends and hard seltzers, you know,
you see these crappers and all, all right, all reluctantly
make a seltzer. But it's like you feel like you
lose a little part of your soul. But like we'll
do it, and we'll go crazy. We're like we're gonna
do a bomb pop cotton candy. I want a hard
seltzter that tastes like you're going to the to the fair.

(20:45):
I didn't even want that before, and now I want.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
The funnel cake seltzer, like whatever, bonnel cake celtzier. Yeah,
I need this in my life.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Yeah yeah. And that's like we get weird, but we
don't like commercialize that. We're not like that's the big
that's the thing that's us. It's just all a little
funny stuf that we do. And it's not like you
throw it at the wall to see what sticks. You
throw it out there to earn those mega fans. Let's
say that is something that brought me into the category.
That's that's why I like this craft because you did

(21:13):
something used to only make I pas right or bloggers
or whatever. And you know you can depend on us
to be undependable. Oh that did you say that, right, No,
will depend on us to surprise you. Yeah, well that's
what I'm mean.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
We're sticking with the other ped like that line. It works.
That works. The drinking habits and I've talked.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
With this about various superent people today, but the drinking
habits of Americans have changed, right, Right, You're seeing less
people go out to bores, You're seeing your people drink,
and so you're seeing breweries sort of adapt to that,
sort of adapt to those kids that you talk about
the heart, celtic cell your soul a little bit.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
But at the same time, it's like, well, if we
find some that fits all, we like it goes.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
What would you say philosophically, is is your guiding principle
in terms of moving forward in the space.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Well, it's always about an inclusion, right, So we live
in the middle of a kind of an na renaissance
for the Remember when non alcoholic beer tast said real
bad and if you went into a bar and the
word one, you were like you had the plague man,
no one was hanging out with you, you know. And
now we got delicious Inna beers and that's like a

(22:20):
big bear hug that reaches more around a wider audience.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Right, So we're big into top Waters, which is like
it's like an Inna beer, but without any calories and carbs.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
You know, everyone's a crusade against everything, right, I say,
like everything that when you grew up you thought was
good is actually bad, right, like sugar, white bread, all
that stuff that you love that you know, it's like
it's like, come on, like I want to have a
little bit of fun, and so being inclusive, making the
full breadth of the portfolio that, like I said, just

(22:52):
gives to everybody a big hug.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
And that's what it's all about, ending brave.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
So I'm interested in kind of like a beginning stages
of good.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Beer because my wife has gotten into garden. So if
she's in a garden, that means I'm in the gardening
too as well.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Right, That's how a beer starts out as an agricultural thing.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
It all starts with farming.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
So so with that being said, how does the soil
you play a lot into you know, bringing that beer
to life.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Oh that's a big thing, is like does the soil matter?
And you know, for the barley, it's it's all about
the yield. It's not going to affect the taste. But
there are people that think the terroar, you know, it's
a big thing for those wine guys always talking about
terror is a.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Chalky soil, vocay soil rockey. So I think it does
do a.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Little something for the hops. Yeah, the barley, you know,
it's like it's just a giant grass. They come in
with the lawnmower and they take it all and then
they got a plant it all again, and then that's
the source of the booze and the and the you know,
the the sugar. But the hops become the thing that's
like the soul and they express that that dirt a
little bit more, you know, you know, for the most time.

(24:01):
I mean a lot of people that garden end up
eventually always playting.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Some hoops they can take over to go to watch out.
Loganeda is broy Company. What would you say if somebody
was looking for an introduction to look at these brokenpany
What would you.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Put in front of the first I would say, you
know them for I p as, but again inclusion, so
we got here.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
That's what I would say. Whatever for me, I do
like the I p as.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I like the little little grapefruity, you know, I like
the punched in the mouth a little bit with the
us kind.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Of brought you the perfect gear, okay or with h Yeah,
our yakampolists celebrates all those.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Someone was saying this tastes like pine trees. Another guy
was like, this tastes like eating a great fruit. But
you know that's that really fresh component, the terpenes. You know,
that's Yes, that's the slack thing.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
You know, that's the face I make when I when
I drink it. Want to me, but that's the face
I make. What I said, you're doing the right noste.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, when you do that, it's kind of like when
people slurt the wine and do that little their little
annoying thing that white people do. But when you slack,
you're oxygenating the terpens and they're actually opening up like
stiff in a flour.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
See that part is valuable. Now, the part where I
put my pinky up's a little weird.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
This doesn't do anything but that part actually, So I
know with wine dringers, you know they just smell it first.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Sure they got to check the legs and see what
it looks like. Yeah, I mean, if you're trying.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Out one of these beverages for the first time, I mean,
what's kind of the etiquette for all right, So how
to taste?

Speaker 4 (25:28):
I would tell you, you know, you don't. You don't
taste with your tongue. You taste with your nose. So
for me, it's about retro nasal. So that retro nasal
is where the beer hits. That's that's where it hits you, and.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
That's why you either dislike it or like it. That's
the whole reason.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
So you take a sip, and very important, you take
a breath, deep breath in the lungs out through the nose,
and that's when you taste. The beer is on that exhale.
That's the retro nasal. That's where all the little esters,
the esters are, all the little fruity things the yeast makes,
and then all those little essence oils of the hot

(26:05):
all that the freshness. Right, you'll know if you got
an old beer versus a fresh beer, because the fresh
beer has a bunch more rich texture and a lot
more qualitative stuff. You know, it's not the old beer
just gets dead. And unfortunately for crap beer, the more
proportionately delicious it tastes and it's fresh, the more heinous
it can be when it's old.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
We've all had an old Iba the Lord and you're
I would have seen it. This sound good? Gun?

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Yeah, you open it, but back to it. You know,
you taste with your nose, and you taste with that breath.
And so anybody here at the MR Booth that they
find something I always encourage them to do. Get that,
get that retro nasal hit. That's where it's real quick.
Got about sixty seconds left toob boy.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
As we look at the Great American Beer Fest, we're
here never how many years have you been doing this?
What do you notice? The biggest change over that time?

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (26:53):
The biggest change.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Well, you know, there was the advent of the hard
seltzers and had this theory like man, everyone's go and
like COVID, and that takes out their sense of smell.
Now they're all boring people that can't taste and smell.
So now there's seltzers like running the show. But then
you know that kind of opened up fruity and then
and then all the used to be you made like
a wheat beer and you could put like cherry or

(27:15):
raspberry and some of your brewer friends and be like,
may making fruit beer make funny you a little bit?
But now they're okay. Now fruit beers are okay. We're
really just kind of welcoming everything. You see the trends
come and go, smoothie beers, milkshake, this and that, and
I think that got people a little confused, and now
it's getting expected just real normal beer, flavored beer.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Boy, appreciate you stuff by a little bit. Lovety this
broid company, love the producats. Gotta get out here to
the Great American Beer Fest and try it out and
live ross here on Broncos Country tonight.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
And for Nick Fergus and Sita Scott myself, it's been oldbright,
it's been fun.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
It's been a real bus front of time. Throw him
next right here, Okay away
