Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thanks to Parker Gabriel for joining us the last segment.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
If you missed any part of that, you can go
to Broncos Countries, Tonight dot Com, Slash Podcasts.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Grant was waiting for me to say or wherever she
gets don.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
I was like, no, I'm not gonna go to him.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'm not just the way the way he's not giving
me another taking it for Granted podcast episode.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I'm not giving it to him.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
There's no stock in the malone here. He's just looking
at me irritated. Right now, let's see how it is.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Five six sixth cens zero is the uh is the
text line?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Somebody just texted and I've never seen die Hard. But no,
it's not a Christmas movie. Is absolutely a Christmas movie.
Everyone knows that.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Yeah, the facts.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
We settled this a while back. With that, let's get
to our we can review. Start it off with.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
The Steelers at Grant Smith's Bengals.

Speaker 6 (00:47):
Blacko out of the gun chase, says man outside left
Yocivosh goes wide, right, block left.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Black Goo checks down. He fires D's good.

Speaker 7 (00:55):
Touchdown, Sisiday get off fants his second star of a season,
a big man.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Touchdown that called courtesy of John Sadak with west Wood
one and only two two words needed for this win?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Who and our Day? This one was a fascinating Thursday
night football game.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
I think people expected the Steelers gotta run rough shot
over the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Joe Flacco once again pull it out.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Flacco Magic thirty one to forty seven three one hundred
forty two yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
He's pay with the team for a week and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Well, all you have to do, and I don't know
why Jake Brownie can figure this out.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Just fine, number one and throw it to.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Jamar Chase, just like Joe Flacco did.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Sixteen receptions one hundred and sixty one yards on twenty
three targets, and he was like, this was like Madden.
Joe Flacker was like CEE Jamar Chase, throw.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
To Jamar Chase.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
And it actually it definitely worked, but it only kind
of increased the folklore for one Joe Flacco and it
wasn't like he ignored Higgs.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Higgins had six catches for ninety six yards and it's.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Tuddy as well.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Does this really make the Cleveland Browns look really bad?
And based on what Mike Tomlin said about Andrew Barry.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Right now, the early returns are it looks terrible for them.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Let's go across the pond, a foggy London town where
the Los Angeles Rams made frauds out of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
Fourth and one, Stafford under center, staff playfek rolling left,
looking down field, Stafford plants throws deep down the middle
of the field of the end.

Speaker 6 (02:33):
It's a tough down Rams, It's a rockie of tiny terrence.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Second that called courtesy of J. P.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Shadwick with Westwood one and yeah, the Rams taking down
the Jags, big time win.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Travis Hunter eight catches, hundred one yards and the loan
touchdown for the Jags, but not nearly enough, as Matt
Stafford was dealing five touchdown passes. Amazingly, only one hundred
and eighty two pass the yards, but five one, two,
three fourth I have touchdown passes for Matt Stafford.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Well, is it safe to say when we talk about
Joe Flacco being the ageless wonder, can we say the
same thing for Matthew Stafford?

Speaker 3 (03:09):
I mean out to he still continues to produce.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Remember, at the beginning of the season they were uncertain
about his return because of back issues. If this is
what back issues give you, man, sign me up.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, back elbow, whatever it takes.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
If it's being if all those things are hurting and
he's still throwing that many touchdowns, And that was That
was without Nakula, by the way, just absolutely ridiculous demolishing
of the Jags. In their second home in London, the
Saints took on the Chicago Bears. Out of the eye,
come back motions, right, dude, say out to the right,
snap Kada, give it a swet.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
By the cuckback, get up, hits.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Out the five, classic into the end zone, touchdown, touchdown Bears.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Jeff Joniac from w MVP on the call. Bears with
another win, the only team this year to score twenty
plus points in every single game.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, Ben Johnson's got the offense hummed a.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Little, although Caleb Williams didn't really have much of a
day one hundred and seventy two passing yards, no touchdowns,
had an interception, but DeAndre Swift and Manong Guy went
crazy buck wild on the ground with a touchdown apiece.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Oh what does that say about Ben Johnson? Coming from
the Detroit Lions where he had two monsters at the.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Running back position.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Say you know what, Caleb, take the day off, which
is going to put the bulk of the load on
DeAndre Swift. This is what happens when you run the
ball and you feed your backs consistent.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Meanwhile, the Rattlesnake Spencer Rattler two hundred thirty three yards
in the air, two touchdowns but three interceptions doomed the
New Orleans Saints. The Miami Dolphins were at the Cleveland Browns,
and it was a case of the twelve plagues, including
Welon Brown.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
If the Dolphins not winning.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Gift the Judkins running up the middle, pick ball forty,
he's in the thirty five, he's in the thirty. It's
a foot race.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Twenty fifteen.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Of course, sideline Touchdowd Quin shot Judkins forty six yards
to the house.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I call courtesy of wk RK Andrew Siciliano and talking
about big days for running backs, Judkins three touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
That's Nick Ferguson's guy, Quinn Shawn Judkins.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
He wanted the Broncos to uh to go get him,
and I said in hidsight, I'm just saying both of
us are getting one on today, you got Quinn Shawn Juckckins.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I got a guy coming up a little.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Later that I wanted the Broncos to get and we'll
talk about dude.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
This was absolutely brutal.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
The rain, the wind was forty miles an hour, The
rains were coming down. There was a nidge infestation in
the stadium. About the only uh you know about, the
only thing that wasn't that wasn't happening was the Dolphins
finding the end zone to it talking about law one
hundred passing yards got benched after three interceptions.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Quinn yours came on and it was not any better.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
The final score in this was thirty one to six
of Brown's put belt to backside in this one.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yeah he did.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
And the only thing you can think about the Miami Dolphins,
where did they go from here? They're one and six
uh in the same division as New York Jets against.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Now the race is who's gonna be the worst.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Team in the AFCAS And will there.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Be any changes in Miami. No, at some point in
the season.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
There will be. By the end of the season, I
will tell you that.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
You know, we thought that Miami was gonna be the
most embarrassing team of the week. But no, not to
be outdone, the Las Vegas Raiders play in the Kansas
City Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Both play the drive, quick snap, put check our left
side bashes over channing into the end zone touchdown Kansas
City Isaiah but check on a seven yard run by.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Call courtesy of Mitch Holtis with kf n Z and man,
was I wrong about the Raiders being better this year?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Oh my god, saying here, the Raiders are absolutely terrible.
I think they had thirty four plays for the entire game.
It was absolutely ridiculous. Gino Smith finally got benched after
going ten of sixteen for sixty seven total.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yards and for no touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Help fix in a sack Anty six carries for twenty
one yards as their leading rusher, and Kansas City absolutely
whipped them.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yeah, this is never a game.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
And I think what's happened with the Las Vegas Raiders
with brock byrus being out with that knee injury, it
has changed the whole surface of what their offense is
gonna look like. And I'm very interested to see whether
Raiders go from here. I mean, because Ken the Pigott
is still on that squad, would they be willing to
make a trade for Shudura Sanders to trying to mix

(07:28):
things up in preparation of twenty twenty six. I don't know,
but I just hope that the Broncos played the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
They're still this offense.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I think I gotta figure something out over there.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I was supposed to be the revenge game for Carson Wentz,
but Philadelphia put it to Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Hurts fakes, he's clack, he's fucky, he is going deep.
He worked to Vante Smith. He has a.

Speaker 7 (07:48):
Funny Tift team, tep fuck touch, don't fuck tame stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Beat Rogers, Merril Reeze with wip on that call, and
the Eagles found their passing game. Most passing yards for
Jalen Hurts in a couple of years.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, three hundred and twenty six passing yards, three touchdowns.
They finally discovered that you can do the forward pass
in that offense, just DeVante Smith one hundred and eighty three,
A J. Brown a Buck twenty one that they discovered
they have receivers as well.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Yeah, they have discovered that.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
But I think Kevin Bittulo, he's getting away from what
they do best and what helped them get to the
Super Bowl, and that's features Saquon Bark incorporate him somewhere
in offense. He still only had forty four yards on
eighteen carries. They somehow have to figure out how to
feed each one of these players.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, they've got to find a way to do all this,
but a week to week could keep the pendulum keep swinging.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Carson Wentz.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Meanwhile, I had three hundred and thirteen passing yards but
no touchdowns and the two back breaking interceptions in that
with Jordan Addison one hundred and twenty eight through the
air well. Carolina Panthers taking on the New York Jets
and the Battles who could care less?

Speaker 6 (08:59):
First doubt from the three Young under center, the snap
to fake to Hubbard rolling right now, Young rolls back
to his left eyes up, Young throws and so Diamon
Catchley Kain touchdown Carolina.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
That call COURTESYFWRFX A Niche Shroff and people are gonna
have to start caring about the Panthers here before long
if they keep back racking up wins well.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
This game featured backup quarterbacks as Andy Dalton came in
for the injured Bryce Young and Toron Taylor came in
for the absolutely terrible Justin Fields boy.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
In this particular the game, this was kind of a
field goal type of game, sort of like the Broncos game,
and it was a race to see who was going
to score first. And Carolina got that score in the
second quarter, and we saw a little of the red rifle.
Andy Dalton back in the mix. Is this the year
of the backup quarterbacks?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Well, Dalton's probably gonna be in for the next one.
Is Bryce Young is looking like he's gonna be out
for the next game as well. Interestingly, today Woody Johnson
slammed Justin Fields publicly saying back to he had coach
Aaron Glenn, he says, when we got a quarterback like that,
it's not surprising the results so far. That's going to
be an interesting quote throughout the week. Is Justin Field's
time as a starter with the Jets is probably over?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Patriots at the Titans.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
They takes the snap chest hot, he dropped back with time, he.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Leaves up, hoping they snapsh He TLEs a really z
touched out.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Patriots throw more pointly hits the catch w b Z.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Bob soci on the call, and the Patriots have found
their quarterback they have.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
This one was kind of interesting because everybody expects Mike
Rabel to come back and blow out the Titans. That
after the first quarter was ten three Titans, but it
was all.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
New England Patriots from there. They wind up winning this
thing thirty one thirteen.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah. His thing is interesting about this.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
I mean, everyone can only have so much, but even
the long veteran Tyler Lockett had enough so much that
he and then trade me, release me and he was
granted his wish. How bad are days now? And Titans
up town in Nashville? Talk about Nashville hot? Yeah, spicy,

(11:12):
always build is. The game of the week was the
Colts taking on the Chargers. But the Colts continued. They're
absolute dominance so far this season. I snap for Jones,
but he pulls it down. Get to the Taylor Carksy
two us.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Right, he's at the touchdown the truck again for Jonathan Taylor.
Three rushing touchdowns for the greatest running back.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Going right now. That called courtesy of w FNI, Matt
Taylor and Colts Class of the AFC. Yeah, and the
Chargers can't get anything going on the ground. They had
ten carries for the running backs for twenty three yards,
but Ronde Gadsden, my dude, I wanted the Broncos to
take Speaking of players who wanted Broncos to take seven
catches one hundred and sixty four yards for the Chargers.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Well, Daniel Jones continues to make his critics eat crow
because that dude is bawling right now.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
The Packers taking on the Cardinals first down, go to
go with the one love under centered Jacob's long pack.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
You have Jacobs up the middle, powering.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Pretty Ardsley goal line cuts.

Speaker 6 (12:10):
Down green Pipe, Packers head up Packers into the lead
twenty six to twenty three.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Dwayne lairvie with WRMW with that call, and I still
think the Packers are going to make some noise in
the NFC.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Arizona snatching defeat from the jaws of imminent victory for
the fifth game in a row.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
For the Packers have been struggling as of late, not
grading through the air on the ground, but they still
found the way to defeat Jacoba sett and.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
The Cardinals commanders at the Cowboys rush got back. Look
at this Protections deep ball to the middle.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
The lamb thirty five brought the way upside twenty.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Walk your Dog right on in the welcome.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Bed, CD lambs seventy four.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yards walking the Dog with Brad Sham from KRLD and
the Cowboys and domin victory over the Commanders and their offense.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Man is unrevealed as the first defensive performance.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
They played it up. They look fairly decent too. Commanders
couldn't get anything going.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Hey, they can't.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
They couldn't do anything on defense, but offense they are.
Roland is going to be interesting when they come into
in Pile Field on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
The Falcons were hot coming in to play the Niners.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Here's the staff, hands off.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
McCaffrey jumps out to the right, makes his way along
the hashparts, filing his way forward, still going, You're the gods.
In touchdown put it honors Kristin McCaffery with a four
yard touchdown run all those against Wain in the episode.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Bryan rag Key with west Wood One on that call.
On a huge day for Christian McCaffrey as the forty
nine ers way one.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Hundred ninety nine totally yards for SEMAC and carried them
to victory over the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
We've been a little hot, specifically on defense.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Call him a dumb truck because all he does is
carry way. See him see run it. In helping out
the forty nine ers Tampa.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
At the Lions, Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Was on an MVP pace the Tenny King shot gifts
up hand out to get up the middle of the
twenty five COTTR equipments for the party on the numbers
took that before side party but race the Tinfield Basi
thirty twenty.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Team seven DIY Tuchtown and the Lions.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
That scored on a textown run by.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
To new Gifts streaking for seventy eight yards.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
The iragendary Kevin Harlan with west Wood one there and
man talked about a big day from Christian McCaffery, huge
day from Jamiir Gibbs.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Absolutely, this is the ugly you talk about streaking. This
is the ugliest I've seen that in streaking.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Pair of ups since Will Ferrell was an old school
prompts John Moore and former.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Jimfer Broncos offensive system because guess what he is running
the ball in the scoring points.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
In Detroit that they are whether they're not scoring points
in as Houstoness they take on the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Darnold to throw on first down looking for the end.

Speaker 6 (14:51):
Zone, Colls get sid the chickab glip the catch, and then.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
He slammed some football over the pop.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Right to sell them.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Write the touchdown thirteen nothing at Seattle.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Kevin Coogler with west Wood one on that call, and
as Jackson Smith and Jigba the best receiver in the
NFL right now, he's.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Playing like it.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Certainly, Kid Kubiak's making his name to get himself a
head coaching or some head coaching round.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
He's gonna get some interviews.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
The way he had New Orleans cooking the first couple
of weeks there last year. The way he's got Seattle cooking.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
Now, my goodness, that's a connection between Sam Donald and
js N is amazing. I don't have him MoMA fantasy team,
and I hope I don't play again too. I do.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I may or may not have beaten one Dave Chepper
thanks to that. Maybe we had a break NFL six pack.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
We come back.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
It's time for an NFL six pack. It's time for
the NFL six pat I'm.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
Gonna trade the last year the guy insight did inside
information you can't find anywhere else.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
No.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Six, the top six NFL headline one that he's close.
Ah oh, shout the paper ball for the Wits be
ro it was not even close.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Roomors surface today that the Cowboys get inquired about possibly
trading four Raiders defensive end Max Crosby is enough to
get the Raiders to mobilize. The NFL media reporting the
Raiders met on Tuesday with Crosby to tell him they
are not shopping him and they will not trade him.
Other teams, per NFL media, are interested. The Raiders start
interested in moving their best player, and he wants to
stay with the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
None of this means that trade won't happen.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Plenty of posturing occurs in the days before the trade
deadline drives up the return. If the Raivers ever would
move him, they need to justify the deal and help
replenish a roster that still has plenty of holes. A
cap standpoint, a trade would not need much of an issue.
Raiders only carry five point one million of dead money
for Crosby. It's twenty twenty six salary of thirty million.
He is fully guaranteed twenty seven Saturday, at twenty nine million,

(16:48):
becomes fully guaranteed the third day of the twenty twenty
six lead years, so effectively both are for a team
like the Cowboys, Crosby's contracts would be much more affordable
than the deal signed in Green Bay by Parsons when
he was traded Dallas. To trade at the end of
the deadline would translate to fifteen million in salary for
the rest of twenty five and three years eighty six million.
That's an average of twenty eight point six for the

(17:09):
remainder of the contract. Now, the Raiders have said they're
not trading Max Crosby. A. Do you believe that?

Speaker 5 (17:14):
And B?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
If you're Dallas, would.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
You trade for Max Crosby. As far as the Raiders,
you never know, and you can talk that talk now.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
But if the Dallas Cowboys presented something from trade compensation.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
That'll make you change your mind. But you have to think.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
I mean the way that the Cowboys are playing right now.
Parsons is now in Green Bay Packers and Jeffrey Jones
want someone to come in and add to the pass rush.
Max Crosby would be great for the Dallas Cowboys and
that would change a lot, not just in the AFC,
but in the NFC chase for a championship.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
As well.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Yeah, I just I don't know, like the acquiring the
picks then to just turn around and move them for
Crossby would seem a little weird. But you know, Dallas
is suddenly can end this year and that that sort
of makes sense in that regard.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I don't think the Raiders will move him. I really don't.
They're been in quarries before. I just don't think the
Raiders are going to wind up.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Everyone has a priably, everybody does, and the Raiders are
epically bad.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yourself, Yes, the Raiders are epically bad and do need
to blow it up. But yeah, two, there's stunning move today.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
A Jets owner Woody Johnson publicly criticize the teams starting
as of last week, quarterback Justin Field saying quote, if
we can just complete a pass, it would look.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Good, among other things. They had a guy last year
who cold complete a pass. They didn't want him back
what he said.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
He had no regrets about moving on from Aaron Rodgers,
saying quote, I never looked back. You have to look
forward to football when you cut players that could be
a Hall of Favor.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
You just never know. Aaron's playing great now he's in
a situation that's working for him.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
What do we think about the Jets moving on from
Aaron Rodgers and Woody Johnson's comments basically blasting Justin Fields today?

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Boy, you know obviously that had to happen, moving on
from a guy like Aaron Rodgers, because you don't want
any one to kind of lead the locker room in.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
The row direction.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
As far as Justin Fields, someone signed on for feels
to actually be there and to make those comments, you're
kind of really throwing those guys.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Under the bus, are you not?

Speaker 5 (19:15):
So?

Speaker 3 (19:16):
I mean it's playing his day. I mean you're saying that, Hey,
you know what this is.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Me just kind of paraphrasing, Hey, you complete a pass
and know as though Justin Phils is the guy that
he gave a two year deal worth forty million dollars,
So owner Woody Johnson is not only is he talking
to one person, he's talking to two people. Yeah, I mean,
good friend to stand up for his head coach. But
end of the day, I mean, you really just blasted

(19:43):
your quarterback. You spent what forty million dollars over two
years of was it twenty million per year if if
I remember correctly?

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Rights?

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yeah, bad stuff.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Three, Tamiko Ryans says he has no plans to change
his offensive coordinator. The Texans offense is once again a mess,
but head coach Tomiko Ryans is a point of fing.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Here's anybody but himself. Ryan said that after.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
The twenty seven to nineteen loss to the Seahawks is
no place to change offensive coordinators, saying, quote, we're pressing
forward with everybody that we have.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
We are collectively all in this together.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Previous offensive coordinator Bobby Slowyck lost his job after last
season when the Texans averaged twenty one point nine points
twenty yards per game. They are literally worse this season
under Nick Kaylee, averaging twenty one point two points a
game at three hundred and four yards per game. Texans
currently right twenty third yards, twenty first ten points. Ryan
went on to get some coach beats go about it
all starts with me. You guys want to point the finger.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
That kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
But the offense is eplically bad, while the defense is
even better. The Texans defense is by points the best
defense in the league right now, and they they're if
two wins, well, you know what this.

Speaker 5 (20:45):
Sounds just like my former teammates is Demiko. Ryan's taken
the brunt of it and saying, okay, well this is
on me. This is cyber coach he was when we
were in San Francisco. It is no different as a
head coach now. They definitely need to change things around offensively.
Will they be to do that, surely, I'm not sure,
but I know he is the guy who's very loyal
and he's going to stick this one out. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
I just they've got to figure something out because at
this point it's two offensive coordinators. Personally, I think the
problem mayor is the offensive line, but you know, the
quarterbacks seems to have regressed. They can't seem to get
anything going, and they're wasting a great defense, something we
know all too much about here at Denver. Four, NFL
executive vice president Troy Vincent says it might be time

(21:29):
to reconsider on side kick alternatives. The NFL did not
consider alternatives the on side kick this off season, but
they could revisit the matter in the future. A league
is happy with the increased number of kick returns since
moving to the dynamic kickoff, they are much less pleased
about the number of successful on side kicks. Three of
fifty attempts were successful when on side kicks were only

(21:49):
allowed in the fourth quarter last year, and only one
of the twenty one tried this season have been recovered
by the kicking team. Onside kicks can now happen at
any time, but current rules call for teams to announce
the intention ahead of time. A proposal to go from
onside kicks to a fourth and twenty play was voted
down in twenty twenty four, but NFL Executive VP Football
Operations Store Events It suggested today that more conversations could

(22:12):
be coming about an alternative, saying quote, when you start
getting a less than five percent recovery rate. Now that
we've seen what has happened with the dynamic kickoff, might
be time for the membership to revisit some of those
things that may be out of the ordinary that was
reported via the Associated Press. The results of the rest
of this season's onside kicks will likely help determine whether
the topics on the table. It's basically like there's no

(22:32):
reason to even attempt an on sidekick at this point
in the NFL unless it's like you're down of the
last series inside of two minutes. It's it's disadvant it's
not advantageous to even do it because the recovery rate
is so low and because the dynamic kickoff the way
the rules are with that, it's just not advantageous even try. No,
it's not.

Speaker 5 (22:49):
And before the thing that made the onside kick so spectacular,
hey you could do surprise on kick onside kicks, but
now with the changing and the kickoff rules, you have
to alert your opponent that hey, we're going to kick
the ball and make an attempt to get it back.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
But now you are preparing them. So for me, then
I don't know what too. I'm down with the fourth
and twenty five.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
I was just gonna ask you, guys, I kind.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Of like that.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
I like it because here's what we know, based on
the Broncos game. A fourth and twenty play can yield
a pass the affairs. That's a spot fall. So I'd
rather take my chances with the fourth and twenty then
take my chances on the on side kick. And I
have to tell the team before I try.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
I mean, that's what the NFL is all about, right,
It's more drama, more drama, more drama.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
I mean, this creates more exciting plays.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
It's something that they did and the guy who created
the dynamic kickoff also created the fourth and fifteen play,
Sam schwartz Man Heywards for Amazon Prime Now and the
Prime Vision stuff. But he created it's I believe it's
gonna wind up being a fourth and fifteen play and
not a fourth and twenty play, which you know could
yield even more, even more results. So that'll be fascinating
to watch next year and see if that gets trial

(23:57):
labbed in the preseason, et cetera, those kind of things.
Five Broncos linebackers Ray green Law lost his appeal of
a one game suspension. The league announced today he will
miss the home game against the Cowboys on Sunday. The
NFL suspended green Law for comments directed at referee Brad
Allen after the Broncos win over the Giants.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
He will also lose a game check.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
In the amount of one hundred and ninety two thousand,
seven hundred and seventy eight dollars.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Lowe, Yeah, yeah, that's a good job, you can get it.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
The NFL issued the suspension for a violation of Rule twelve,
Section three, Article one B, which prohibits the use of
quote abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials,
whore representative of the league. After the conclusion of the game,
green Law chased down referee Brad Allen and quote verbally
threatened him as he tried to leave the field. There's
multiple videos out there which you can see Alan making

(24:46):
a b line for him immediately after the final whistle.
Green Law played his first game for the Broncos after
signing a three year, thirty one and a half million
dollars contract in March. He missed the preseason and first
six games of the regular season with thigh injuries. He
played twenty one snaps total, six tackles, and a quarterback hit.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
How big is the loss of Drake green Law for
this game against the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
I'm not gonna say it's a big loss because the
team has played at to this point without him. It
was great to see him back on the field and
his physicality. But they've worked through this in his training camp.
They're gonna make the necessary adjustments and they're gonna be okay.
My only thing is that when you talk about the
fines and suspension for abuse language, man, I could have
used this back when I was growing.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Up with my parents. How about that.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
My question for you guys is when he is back
from the suspension, is that him and Alex Singleton or
him and Justin Strenad, Because it seems like Strenad's been
playing the better of the two.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
I would say that if I had to take a
guess that at first I would have said green Law
and Alex Singleton, But now he might have to give
Jessice Schrenad more plays, more reps because he's proven that
you could have more on his plate.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Yeah, I think Strenad's gonna get some some looks as
far as that goes. Single little Phiel be involved, escially
because he is athleticism, ability to get downhill. You saw
that on the scant of old play he blew up
that led to start not getting the interception.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
There's value at Alex Singleton.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
It's not the same thing is when fans were whinding
about Riley Moss a few weeks ago and pretending he
was the.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Worst thing to ever happen. Like, Singleton's not that bad
as the.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Fans are whining about, but that he has had some
some issues, especially going away from.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
The ball sick Russell Wilson has broken character.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
The veteran quarterback who's legendary for saying all the right
things at the right times, sidestepped his public persona and
fired a shot at Broncos head coach Sean Payton. Today,
after Sunday's thoroughly win by Denver over Wilson's current team,
Payton said that he hopes New York's changed from Wilson
to rookie Jackson Dart would have happened long after our game.
The message is pretty clear. Peyton strongly preferred facing a

(26:47):
Wilson to taking on the rookie Wilson.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Got on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
It's a quote classless but not surprised. Didn't realize you're
still bounty hunting. Fifteen plus years later, through the media
outed a couple laughing emojis.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Let's ride for old time's sake.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
The bounty hunting remark offers to the scandal that saw
Peyton suspended for the entire twenty twelve season. Peyton's comment
surely bugged Russ or he would have dignified him with
a response.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Still, it's not like Peyton is on an island with
his opinion.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
When Dart was being checked for a concussion twelve days ago,
fans at MetLife were not thrilled about Wilson's return to action,
and the entire controversy regarding whether the Giants violated the
concussion protocol flows from daboles desire to find out whether
Dart would be available for upcoming forth down play. They
will made it clear that Dart was available, Dable would
have called a time out before going for it, which
implies that Dabel would not have gone forward with Russ

(27:34):
under center. Lingering tension traces to the late season benching
of Wilson back in twenty twenty three. The goal was
to keep Wilson from suffering an injury that would have
prevented the Broncos from cutting him in March of twenty
twenty four and avoiding his twenty twenty five compensation. If
he had been injured, the Broncos would have rode Wilson
thirty nine million dollars in twenty four, which was paid
MI this one point two one million earned a Pittsburgh

(27:55):
and thirty seven million do this year. The benching cost
Wilson to the thirty seven million, he would regard it
as guaranteed, so on a day when Jets owner Woody
Johnson is making largely unprecedented verbal assaults on the ability
of a player. Will said had a moment that seemed
unscripted and human. What do we think about Russ's tweet?

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Russ's human, no matter how much you think that he
is odd, corny and as one media person said called
him Carlton from Fresh Parents of bear Lair. Regardless of
any of that thing, you know, those types of things,
he is human and you can only stand someone saying

(28:35):
things about you for so much and not clapping back.
And this was Russ's way of doing just that when
you know he wasn't that type of guy here with
the different broncles.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Even with the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
But I guess he said, you know what, I got
time here and I'm backing up Jackson Dark why not
take shots?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
And shots are exactly what he took.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Good for us too, man, Like you can only take
the high road, like you said, for so long when
someone is this petty and that's still in his head
two years later, Like come on, man.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
That's the thing that bugs me.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I'm like, dude, like your two years removed from there
are two seasons removed from Russ. You're telling everybody that
Bonix is a championship caliber quarterback, that this team has
the ability to go to the Super Bowl, and then meanwhile,
you lay a goose egg on your offense for the
better part of three quarters before bowling. The team finally
pulls something out of their backside again late in the game.

(29:28):
Maybe maybe focused on trying to figure out how to
get this offense to score points, score enough points in
the first three quarters of a game that you're not
furiously trying to bail yourself out in the fourth quarter
and worry less about a guy who hasn't been on
the roster since twenty twenty three.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Yeah, that's that's a very logical approach that you're presenting
the band. But you and I know especially I know
more than anyone else, is that when you have beef
with someone and we've seen it take place in hip
hop bonders, Oh you have.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Think of Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
I'm not saying that this is a situation, but sometimes
it's hard to let go of certain things. It's like
being a lover scoring At some point, man, you have
to move on and let the dogs be And hopefully
that would be the case and this would be the
end of this, I guess saga if you want to
call it between Sean Payton and Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Yeah, it needs to end.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
But the fact that you got Russ to like step
out of his normal all the time one hundred percent
positivity stuff and do that, I mean that is that
is clearly been weighing on Russ for a while.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
What if we are to find out if this kind
of beef continue that, Yeah, Russ was always staying on
brand and we find out that.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
Russ is not the guy we thought he was, and
he'd just come back sling it.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Well, I mean, you would have thought that he would
have been doing that after the Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
All that stuff. Maybe hey, maybe he was waiting. I
mean case, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Well, like yeah, I think in those particular cases, I
don't think he I don't think he felt he had ground.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
To stand on.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
I think he knew that he hit them sort of
in the wrong with some of those guys back in
the past. I think he felt like he had ground
to stand on on this one because I don't think
based on what I know of that situation, based on.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
What you know of that situation, of I'd had a
grudge too.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Now the biggest question is does the buck stop here?
Is this the end of it?

Speaker 1 (31:20):
I don't know, or Dayton is it the podium tomorrow?
And I believe in round two who's gonna ask him
that question? Oh? You know who's gonna ask him that question? Yes,
I do, come on down.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
I'm just I just wanted to tell us it all,
just to.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
See Broncos country night back. I think this Broncos country.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
