Speaker 1 (00:00):
I said one nine says Ben.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I would roll up in the custom escalade, like the
one Phil Rivers would go back and forth from San
Diego to La like the stretch escalade that you know
Phil Rivers used to have.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Well, he needed that because he had a lot of kids.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Phil Rivers, he's got like a who starting offense like
take care of the kids like him versus Cromarty's defense.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
See wow, I don't know who's when who will win
that one?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Carimarti has got no defense against having kids. Well, okay,
no grant you killed me.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Friday night, we're doing something special here on Broncos Country Night,
six pm. We are replaying Sunday's historic thirty three point
Broncos comeback against the Giants. Uh So you guys can
tune in that. It'll be started six pm on Friday.
You guys get to listen to that all over again.
We had a bunch of people that were requesting because
they were watching it on TV or whatever.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
They didn't hear Dave and Rick on the call. They
wanted to hear that.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
So we're gonna replay that for you guys at six
pm right here on Kway.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
You guys set your radio dials for that.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
With that's go out to the KWA coms Broth hotline
and bring on our guy from the Denver Gazette, Chris thomasin.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Chris, how you doing, buddy?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
I'm doing great? But wait a minute.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
You're gonna replay in the first three quarters in the
reay of the fourth quarter?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, only the fourth quarter. I guess I shoulda still
by wet.

Speaker 6 (01:18):
We are the first records playing four times.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
We're just yeah, play the fourth times something. They scored
one hundred and twenty one points. That would be great.

Speaker 7 (01:31):
Uh, Chris, It's been.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
An interesting week so far. Of course, we got the
green law situation. He the NFL immediately.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Upheld his suspension.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
We got Sean and Russ still going out of two
years after Russ's even on the roster.

Speaker 7 (01:43):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
And then we got the number one offense in the
NFL coming to town, the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. UH.
Dealer's choice. Where do you want to start?

Speaker 6 (01:51):
Well, let's start with Peyton versus Wilson, because that's always
the most exciting thing. I mean, basically, you know, I
think Sean Payton handled it well today and kind of
talking about it saying that he's just talking about Jackson Dart.
I mean, he obviously doesn't like Russell Wilson, we know that.

(02:11):
But I think in kind of his rambling quotes the
other day, he probably actually was, you know, more complimenting
Jackson Dart.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Probably, I mean, you know, that's that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
I think.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
The thing is just like Sean just doesn't get the
benefit of the doubt because there's been snide comments before.
He probably was just complimenting Dart. But you know, everybody,
it's interesting how everybody instantly jumped to the assumption because
well it's Sean Payton. As far as that kind of
stuff goes Dray green Law, there's no excuse for running
after referee. There's just none. There's just not one. And
we've got to have better discipline and better control of ourselves.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
We could have really used him in this coming game.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Yeah, I don't. I can't recall ever seen anybody run
after referee after they won the game. I mean, that's
the crazy thing about it. You know, there's all kinds
of stories and what have you. Although I'll have to
check and see when Bobby Knight threw the chair here ago,
I'll have to find out, you know, if the Indiana
won or lost that game. But maybe aside for mister Knight,

(03:14):
you usually don't see players after a victory semi assaulting
the officials.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So, Chris, with the Cowboys coming in on Sunday and
we know that their defense can't really stop and thoseby,
what are you predicting that the Broncos offense after having
that explosive fourth quarter will do against the Cowboys defense.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
Well, you know they don't have the greatest defense at all,
So I would I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos,
you know, have a decent offensive showing on Sunday and
that we have a shootout. I haven't seen what the
over under is, but whatever it is.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
I'll take the over.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
I mean, we did just have sixty five points scored
total the other day, and well the Broncos is you
will now have a top notch defense. The Cowboys have been.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Rolling it up.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be a high scoring affair.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Do you think that the Broncos can get the offense
on track? I mean, this defense, this Dallas defense is
pretty bad. The running joke is is that the Cowboys
have the top offense in the league and the number
two offenses, who's ever playing Dallas that week. We've got
to get this offense going earlier in games. And Shawn
stress that you know at the podium today, But have
we seen any signs that's that's eminent even against this

(04:32):
bad defense?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Well, you know, I mean they did score thirty three
points in the last quarter, which is a mystifying since
a shout out for the first three quarters, and then
before that they start out fast against the Jets ten
points in the first quarter, and then they three the
rest of the game. So it's kind of like, I mean,
I wrote last week about wait, what's going on here?

(04:56):
They talk about starting faster and now they're not ending fast.
So it's just general inconsistency. I mean, that's been the
issue all season, and it was an issue last year
as well at times. I mean, you have these owls
where you're wondering what's going on with the Broncos offense.

(05:17):
But you know, usually with maybe the except well even
Jets game. I mean bo Nicks let him down the
field for that shield goal with five some minutes to go,
So I mean, you know, you can look at the nagget,
but the positive is you know, Nicks, even in his
first couple of games last year when he was a rookie.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Still finding his way.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
I mean, when the offense is doing nothing, he finds
a way to fight his way back at the end.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
So the positive would.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
Be that they're always fighting and coming back usually regarded
for the score.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Chris, you know, watching the game in that fourth quarter,
I mean, it was fantastic for those who's and watch
and I can't help but to notice that there was
a difference between the first three quarters and the last
six minutes in the fourth quarter, and what I'm talking
about is there was tempo. There was a lot of
pace to the game, and Mike mcglinchy and bot Nick's

(06:17):
both said that, hey, when they went.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
To up tempo, it changed. So what's the.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Over under, not even moving forward in the season, but
the over under on Sunday's game that we're going to
get some up tempo calls from coach Payton.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Well, I mean, I won't give you an exact number,
but I would hope for Peyton's sake, especially if it
is a shootout, that there's more up tempo. It was
kind of interesting that even heading in till last Sundays.
Bo Nicks a week ago Wednesday was talking about, you know,
how much he likes going up tempo and how much
it helps them. So you would have thought Peyton was

(06:55):
listening to his quarterback maybe a little bit more until.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
It got to be desperation time.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Talking with Chris Thomason from the Gazette, as we look
through this season through the first third, is this about
where you thought the Broncos would be?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
I think so.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
I mean, I'll bring this up. I don't know if
you guys pay I covered the Minnesota Nikings in twenty
twenty two and they had this crazy season where they
went eleven to zero in one score games and they
just were winning all kinds of games in in probable manners.
I mean, they set the all time record that year
and coming back from thirty three to nothing to beat

(07:32):
the Colts, although the Broncos you know, did lose the
last ditch games to the Colts and to the Chargers.
But still, I'm kind of in this vibe of this
team that they're always going to win these crazy or
most often going to win these crazy games. I mean,
Peyton said today every game is weird, which pretty much

(07:56):
has been right this season.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
So we look at.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
The Hall of Fame and the list came out and
I see that there are three former Broncos coaches on there,
Alex Gibbs, Dan Reeves and my coach, Mike Shanahan. And
for a number of years we've seen all three of
these coaches, maybe not maybe Alex Gibbs, but Reeves and
Shanahan for sure not get in. Is if you had

(08:23):
to take a guess of the three coaches, who do
you think finally gets their day in the sun.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
Well, Shanan is going to get in on equivoc It's
probably not going to be this year. He caught a
tough break last year. I thought he should have been
the last year over Holmgren, who he beat, of course
in a Super Bowl, and Holmgren didn't even get the
eighty percent to get into the Hall of Fame. And
now what happens now is Bill Belichick becomes eligible. So

(08:53):
it would seem absurd that he gets passed over this year.
It would seem to be a brainer. Although I was
actually speaking to All Shame selector today and I said, well,
you think that Cans people might vote against Belichick and
speak so he still coach college, he's not retired, he
might come back to the All so you know that's

(09:14):
a possibility. But the rules have changed crazily. I mean,
there's going to be finalists, So won't find out in
Dember the one finals. I mean I did, it will
be about Jack and then I'll have to get eighty
percent of them to get it. But if some Shanahan.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Becomes the one finals, and.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
I think he will definitely take the next up.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
But you know, if he doesn't.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
And now he's going to eventually get in. I mean
whenever he re retire might prolong as well, but he'll
definitely be in these days.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Well, Chris, with that being said, honestly, do you think
that there is some kind of Denver Broncos bias not
just against coach Shanahan, but against anyone who played for
the Denver Broncos because Ron Smith was snubbed as well.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Yeah, I don't know about that. I'll just talk about
the coaches situation. I mean, there's a real log jam
there and you need to settle this and get some
more coaches into Hall of Fame. I mean, Holme Grin,
you know, probably is event worthy of being a Hall
of Famer. Tom Coughlin as two Super Bowls. Like Shanahan,

(10:29):
he's not in I mean, Pete Apparallelly, well, he's coaching now,
so he's not a candidate, but he's a candidate for
the future.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
And you know, Dan.

Speaker 6 (10:37):
Reeves is still alive. But I think, you know, going
oh and three in Super Bowls the way he did
going to be real tough for him to get him.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Talking with Chris Thomason from the Denver is that, Chris,
you know, I've been reporting that I don't think the
Broncos are going to be much buyers at the deadline.
Sean Payton kind of confirmed that today, although said he
had his eye on a few things possibly, I guess
maybe that left guard thing. If Al pal Uh, you know,
doesn't put the keep putting together games like he did.
Is there any other position out there you could see
possibly the Broncos being buyers at.

Speaker 6 (11:07):
Yeah, I mean I think really it would be the
offensive line, if at all.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
I mean, the defense looks.

Speaker 6 (11:15):
Pretty strong there and you know, I don't know if
they necessarily need any depths at tight end. Lucas Crawl
is probably going to be back fairly soon, you know, from.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
His foot injury, which wasn't too serious, but.

Speaker 6 (11:30):
I think, yeah, it's going to come down to depth
on the offensive line. I mean, ben Powers, they're hoping
to get him back in December, so if that's accurate,
that will certainly help the cause. Matt Kert not sure
how long he's going to be out, but I don't
think it's a season ending type injury. So yeah, Peyton
gave a game ball today, he said Alex Malchowski for

(11:53):
how well he played at left guard, and if he
can be steadying influence the next two games at left guard,
that's going to certainly decrease the chances they'll make the deal.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Are we looking at the best pass rushing duo potentially
with Nick Benito and Jonathan Cooper? Is that where we're
looking as the season starts to progress, Chris, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
I think so.

Speaker 6 (12:21):
I mean, those guys have been just tremendous, have been
a double tear on, you know, both sides, and yeah,
I mean I can't think of a better pass rushing
duo than those two guys in the NFL. And then
the crazy thing is they don't lose a tremendous amount

(12:42):
when they're not in.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
I mean, Jonah.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
Ellis, he's missed the last two games with the shoulder injury,
but he is a formidable reserve and Dendre Tillman is solid.
I mean, they just have absolute tremendous depths at that position.
And just look at the defense. I mean, I think
it's up to fifteen different guys. I've had a sack

(13:04):
stat this year, so teams are paying a lot of
attention to those guys in the outside.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
But guys are coming.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
From everywhere this season to get sacked.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
As we were in year two of the Sean Payton
bo Nick's you know marriage, there has there has been
a bit of I don't want to call it regression,
but there's been some growing pains here in year two
to about week five, weeks six, weeks seven.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Form both really takeoff last year.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Are we expecting that sort of jump again this year,
even with perhaps a tougher schedule down the stretch than
we had last year.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
Well, well, I have to see if the sophomore Jenks
is for real. I know Sean Payton compared it to Bigfoot,
you know, earlier in training camp, and after that, I was.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Talking to Kurt Warner and.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
You know, asking him about big Foot and Sasquatch references,
and he said, no, the sophomore Jinks exists. And he pointed,
of course to C. J. Stroud. But of course sad
looks now judging last night that maybe there's a junior
Jinks as well. So yeah, I think. And I was
talking to Gary Kubiak a few months ago before the

(14:15):
season and he said, yeah, he also believes in it,
because he said, coaches don't recruit. They've got nothing to
do during the offseason except sitting their offices and watch film.
And all the AFC West coaches as well as others,
are sitting and watching film after film on Bonex, So
certainly you get to know his tendencies a bit better.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Chris Thomason from the Denver Gazette. Chris, always fun catching
up with you. Look forward to going to dinner soon.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Appreciate it, guys, great being.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
On Absolutely take care.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
That's Chris Thomason from the Denver Gazette. We got an
NFL six pack when we come back. Appreciate Chris Thomason
joining us in the last segment from the Denver Gazette.
Paul Charchion joined us earlier from Matthew Berry's Fantasy Life touching.
By the way, the creator the Guillotine League, in case
you guys didn't know that, he's the actual creator the
a metter of the Guillotine League.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
I feel like we have to bring that up every time.
We should we should we The first time we had
him on, we brought it up. Yeah, but that's like
blowing up.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Yeah, and he's in that tight.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Segment though, so we don't get a lot of chance
to like spin around, you know what, that kind of stuff.
But yeah, he used the creator that, so it's missed
a part of that Broncos Country and that com Slash
podcast or port of each podcast Apple iTunes, Spotify free,
redesigned Diheart Radio app or you can also get the
taken it for grated podcast archives.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
The archives the under eighty episodes and eighty episodes eighty
two to be exact. But I kind of wiped out
the one with you Yeah, so yeah, it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
In the ad minute he did that, the rating went
up a star for removing that one episode.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
The rating went up a full star, like a thousand
new subscribers. Weird how that works. Our price is right game,
Let's do an NFL six.

Speaker 7 (15:57):
It's time for the NFL sixth path. I'm gonna take
a lot of years back, insight and inside information you
can't find anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
No.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
Six the top six NFL headline. What well?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
The followout from the Broncos post game is not over.
Broncos Linebackersery green Law suspended for his actions following Dever's
win over the Giants on Sunday. Green Law approached and
made comments to referee Brad Allen. Yesterday, his appeal was
denied the Ladies, though, is per a league source, justice
Ter not is likely going to be fined for making

(16:32):
contact with an official, confusing outcome. For decades, the line
has involved contact with officials always got sparked a ejection.
Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton got sent to
the showers back in nineteen eighty for grabbing an officials arm.
So Troy Vincent is going to be on PFT Live
FRO Football Talk Live tomorrow. The interview was scheduled several

(16:56):
weeks ago, but he's gonna be on there tomorrow. He
knows the details what Greenlaw said, what's going on with
the Sternod situation.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
So I would.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Encourage Broncos fans to listen to this at tomorrow to
maybe get the update from Troy Vincent.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Man, this is ridiculous, man, I mean.

Speaker 8 (17:12):
Allen was the one to make contact with you.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Yeah, wait are you well I'm just gonna say, are
you about to dispute that?

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Not exactly? Wait wait wait wait wait wait do you
mean is I a yes or no? Then so?

Speaker 2 (17:25):
And this is the league sources saying, let me get
to this stuff first and then I'll get that Sternad
is likely to be fine for.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
A league source. There are multiple bloods for making contact
with that official.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
There are multiple angles to this and what happens he
is and I don't think you should be fine what happened.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
What happens is if you.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Look for the sideline angle, Justice Sternad is jumping towards
the pile and Brian Allen, out of his peripheral visions
like does like just seize movement and puts his arms
up and does the shove thing like that.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
I hope that this one gets overturned.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Because I mean, yeah, he made contact with official, but
really the official contact with him.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Your hand pushed him in a chess.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Oh, I'm sorry that your your chess made contact with
my hand.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, that's what they're geting.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
They tried to get him because jumping towards the pile
technically is that that's.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Going to try to get what's over. I'm with you
on that, I agree. But anyway, this is something that's
very buzz cart of bullshit.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Well watch, I will be watching tomorrow because, like I said,
Troy Vince is gonna be on PFT Live tomorrow and
he has all the details on both these situations.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Something to keep.

Speaker 7 (18:32):
Your eye on.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I think we're all in agreement that justin struts should
not be fine. Okay, you know what I think about
Brad Allen. What an idiot?

Speaker 7 (18:41):
Oh what a loser.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Two. Sean Payton said his Jackson guark comments were about
Russell Wilson. Think's got spicy and of course the last
couple of days when John Payton and former quarterback Rockers
quarterback Russell Wilson today, Peyton said he didn't intend for
that to happen.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
After the Sunday's thrilling win over.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
The Giants, Peyton said they found a little spark with
that quarterback.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I was talking with John Marra.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Not too long ago, said we were hoping that change
would have happened long after our game. Wilson, in a
rare break from his carefully amount of cured public image,
had a human reaction, calling Peyton class lists and invoking
the bounty Gate scandal.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Peyton comes back today.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
He said, Look, the euphoria, the way the game unfolded,
that was strictly about Dart, was in no way, shape
or form anything directed to Russ.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I might be able to see.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
I perceived that, but coming off that win and watching
got dark played, that wasn't the intention at all.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Still, that change referred to the benching of Wilson, the
elevation of Dart.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Peyton didn't want to see Dart, which many wanted to
see Wilson or Jameis Winston or who knows, maybe why
he tittle.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
I don't know. Are we finally putting this thing to
bed with Sean Payton?

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Yeah, it sounded to go sleepy night night, and I
think this is a storyline that needs to be tucked in.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
What was said.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
What was said, no matter how you two was to
interpret it. Russ responded, that was it. Russ will not
respond again unless provoked. So I'm hoping that there is
any no situation that can be interpreted or not to
provoke Russell to respond again.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
So it's done. Yeah, I tend to agree. It's just
that Sean said what you need to say, like to
put it to bed. Let's put it to bed. I
think Sean I will bring it back up at some point.
I don't feel like he will. I'm trying not to
say it, but.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
I'm trying to lean on a good side to say, yes,
it's done.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Is over you two? Like, Nah, it's not. There'll be
some big moment and Seano.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Big moment because Johnson Dart is the Giants quarterback.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Unless he gets injured and Russ goes.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Back in the game, there's no more conversation.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Cowboys corner Trayvon Diggs was at the team facility today
but remains in the concussion protogol It's available for Sunday
is in question. Digs miss last week's victory over the
Commanders after a quote accident at his home oh the
previous Thursday night. Cowboys ruled him out on Friday, but
I'm not elaborated on how he got a concussion at
his home. Starting safety Donovan Wilson was the only other

(21:08):
player on the roster held out of Wednesday's practice. For
the Cowboys, Cooper Bebe, Kenny Clark, Damarian Overshown, Tyler Smith,
and Jenea Thomas were a limited Overshown is not expected
to be back until the number seventeenth. How do we
feel about Trayvon Diggs being in the concussion protocol on

(21:29):
an already bad defense for Dallas?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
It makes it really difficult for the Dallas defense if
he is unavailable because now when you.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Think about the Dallas Gobboys.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Defense, they're actually thirty two or ranked thirty eight and
most of the defensive statistical categories. So not having Stefan Diggs. Now,
if I'm Sean Payton, I'm like, man, I'm about to
red this pony up that fourth quarter. Broncos Country, you
thought you left the game early, you missed out? Hey man,
I'm about to go thirty three points per quarter?

Speaker 1 (22:01):
How about that? So we're gonna break an all time record. Yeah,
that's a possibility.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
How bad do you feel if you're a Broncos fan
and you left that game early and missed the most
epic comeback in the team's history.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Well, here's a good thing about it. Guess what. You
can watch it on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Or you can listen to the show Broncos Country tonight
because we're gonna play.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
A game for you on Friday.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
How about that, you guys loving the the fourth quarter,
only we're doing the first three quarters. Chris Thomason trying
to get beyond that one four. Jordan Love has fond
memories of his time with Aaron Rodgers. Sunday will mark
the first time Rogers has played his former team Green
Bit Packers, but first time Jordan Love has played his mentor.

(22:45):
Rogers was traded in twenty three to make room for
Love as the Backers starting quarterback. Love said, it was
definitely difficult understanding who you're taking over for. The main
thing for me was just trying to block all that out,
understand that this is a great opportunity for something I've
been waiting for for three years. Watching him, I knew
in the back of my head was ready.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
How best can I go out there?

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Try to block out the extra noise, play my game,
make my own name here. Rodgers loves staying touched since
Rogers departed for first the Jets and Alvis Steelers. So
on Wednesday, Rodgers called Love a great kid and said
he enjoyed his time with him in Green Bay continue
his mentoring love from a distance, Love said, a rod
texted me and was talking about some of the plays
we'd run, some of my footwork, things like that, complimenting me.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
So obviously it's great to hear from him.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
How do you feel like, you know, this is the
hidden side of that when people are all talking about
Aaron Rodgers and the you know me, me me thing
about it, But here he is continuing to mentor a
guy that's that took his place in Green Bay.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Well, that says a lot about Aaron Rodgers, and it
goes counter to what people have said publicly about the
type of guy Aaron Rodgers is.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You may not like you, I mean that he may
not be your.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Tea of choice, but there's some good parts of Aaron Rodgers.
Because usually, you know quarterbacks in this situation, any play
in the situation, you're not trying to mentor mentor you're understudy.
But it's great for me from from a football standpoint
that these two guys are still connected.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
There's this cool story I saw today. When Jordan Love
was a rookie, Aaron Rodgers made a rule stay quiet
and meetings and get fined. Rogers didn't want Love to
repeat his early career silence, so what started as a
joke turned into a lesson in confidence in leadership. Jordan
Love went on to say, if I didn't say anything,
somebody would.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Blurt it out. That was always fun.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
But I racked up a ton of quiet fines throughout
the year, And Aaron Rodgers said, I was really quiet
in my meetings.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Nobody ever explained things to me.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
So I told myself, if I ever got that opportunity,
I'd do it for how I wish someone did it
for me. Just another thing about Aaron Rodgers being a
good dude.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yeah, it's actually good too. I think in football, you know,
I know, you know, militarily. That was one of those
things like, yeah, don't be quiet. These mayde asked questions
get answered, don't you know, because.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
We're gonna sit here.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
If you don't say something, then I assume that you're
an expert at every part of it.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
You got it mastered.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Well, I don't know about you, guys, but I read
the tea leaves and this sounds though, well, this was
Aaron Rodgers's way of talking about Brett Fark, who had
already read the room before he got there, and he
wasn't going to do the love what was done to him.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
That's that's the that's the subtext. You know, Brett Farr
And by the way, Brett.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Farr was a guy who did not do a lot
of studying.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
If you read some of those stories early on from
him with the Packers, he had not done a lot
of studying. Didn't even know certain basic defensive calls and
that he was supposed to be reading and what they
were called.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Wow, that's scary to know that he didn't know that
and he performed the weights.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
That's just seemed like that was Patrick Mahomes first two years.
Kle Wow, just out there.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
YO.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Know it's back backyard football. Some coaches don't like backyard football.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Our coach doesn't like backyard football.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
I just want to know if the tea leaves you
were reading were Ayahuasca tea leaves.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
I can't confirm or deny that, grant I will confirm
he was reading.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Hall of Fame was announced fifty two modern era candidates.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
For the class of twenty twenty six. A man at
the Broncos Get Snubs quarterbacks Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Phil
Rivers running backs worked on Eddie George, Frank Gore, Marshawn Lynch,
Lashawn McCoy, Lorenzo Neil is a fullback and he should
be in by my standards.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Fred Taylor, Ricky Waters. That's another Pricky Waters. Is he
the most underrated back ever? Yes, he is.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Wide receivers Agwon Bolden, Lary Fitsgerald, Tory Holt, Jimmy Smith,
Steve Smith, Hines, Ward, Reggie Wayne. No Rod Smith on
that list, Greg Olsen, Jason Whitne at the tight ends.
I don't want to get into too many others, you know,
the defense and all that kind of stuff, but it's.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
A pretty stacked class. But man, the Broncos got snubbed
on this. Yeah, this is terrible.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
I don't know who's on the Silexic committee and how
they kind of formulated their opinion, but this is blasphemous.
How do you not have Rod Smith on this list
because he eaton one, not one.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
But two.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
But they were back to backs and he wasn't just
a guy who was on the team. He was instrumental
in helping the Broncos get to the Super Bowl. He
did it with John Elway. He did it with several
quarterbacks after John Elway. Hell, he did it with Jake
Plumber as well, So I don't understand how they came
up with this decision.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, of note, Willie Anderson, Torrey Holt, Luke Keigley, and
adamvit Terry will automatically advance to the final fifteen this
election cycle because they reached the final list of seven
modern era players under consideration last year.

Speaker 7 (27:22):
But we're not elected nineteen six.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Roger Goodell came out today.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
He said the NFL is not going to reconsider it's
bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime decision. Meeting with reporters today
after a completion of quarter the ownership meeting, Goodell said
the decision to make him the lead performer will not
be reconsidered.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
He said that I'm not sure we've ever selected an
artist where we.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Didn't see some blowback or criticism. It's pretty hard to
do when you have hundreds and millions of people that
are watching. Goodell said, he's one of the leading and
most popular entertainers in the world. So what we try
to achieve, it's an important element to the entertainment value.
The league tried to sidestep any political reaction. It's do

(28:06):
we care? Do we care about that? I mean, like
I remember when Prince was Anton show. I watched that one.
I cared about that. The other ones that have been there,
I mean Katy Lamars deal.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
I watched some of that.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
Last year.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
I watched a little bit. It didn't Dre have one,
you know, I think I watched a little bit of
that Drey and fifty and yeah, and like, yeah, I
remember watching that.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
But I mean, I generally that's the time I'm going
to loading up on.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Wings and getting a refill on my beer, you know,
or eating a new bowl of chili or something whatever
it is that I'm eating for souper. I don't really
like I've never cared, Like if there's Super Bowl it's
a mini concert inside of a football game, I care about.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
I don't care. Like I'm not changing the channel because the.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Guy's singing in Spanish. I don't know any bad bunny songs.
I don't really care. But I don't care enough that
I'm on here trying to like create make them change
to somebody else.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
You know what, here's a problem.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
You know, there's so many things that are politicized.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
And this is kind of one of them. This is
kind of.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Where we are and is people are being forced to
draw a line in the sand for me unless Bad
Bunny has done something uh terrible that we don't know about. Hey,
go knock yourself out right.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
And I mean you mentioned a couple of halftime shows
that were all amazing.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
Does that mean that most people will stand and sit
at home and watch it?

Speaker 1 (29:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
I can't really say each household is different. But I'm
just downing there up for the commercials. I want to
see if the commercial is gonna be dope.

Speaker 8 (29:36):
That's what I tune in for anyway, Come on.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yes, No, but I love the game. The commercials make
make uh the game great? The performances it does. Add
I don't know any Bad Bunny songs, so I don't
know if I'm gonna to.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
Be glued to the TV looking at Bad Bunny. From
everything I've heard, he's one hell of a performer.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Oh well, I mean I don't know any of the songs,
so I look go out. Yeah, I wish lout have
a great performance. Man, And I know a lot of
artists they don't get paid for this, so this is
just another way for them to booze up their profile,
so and man got kick butt.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Well, the halftime show isn't for NFL fans anyways, for
fans of that musician to watch, so they write them
to the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
That's the point. That's the point.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Like I and here's the thing, I don't know any
bad Bunny songs. I'll probably be watching halftime. Maybe one
of them will be cool. Maybe he'll interduce me to
his music. Lost promotional effort b T mf.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
BT m f d d bt MF Okay.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Well, I don't know, but it's a hell of a
catchy song. Okay, it's you know, okay translates to basically
taking pictures of your friends and family members remember them.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Okay, Okay, we've got to go a whole different directions.
Would that take a pieces. It's not like we haven't
already had a Spanish halftimes. People not remember Shakiro was
just a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
And Jennifer Lopewall that that's technically that was that was
two individuals with letting dissent, but they were not speaking.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yes Frongcus country that tack this
