Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, I'm gonna do a six pack, literally, and I've
got Ryan Collensberg coming up bottom in the hour, going
to Chance to talk to him about the Broncos and
Sea buff How are you feeling about the weekend? The game?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
This weekend?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
There's ech I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. I feel like the
Broncos are the better team and should take care of business.
But you know there's a reason they're underdogs in this one.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Unlike you and Ben's pick last week, Hey the hell
your Burt picks taking the Cowboys?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Given how my week went overall, you're probably happy I
picked the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
If I picked the Broncos, we would have lost.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I get a freebie because when everyone was picking against
the Broncos when they played the Eagles, I picked the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Oh so you're saying that's okay to pick the cancels.
It cancels out eight shows.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I'm trying my best and sometimes I'll see the Broncos
woman when everyone else says they're losing.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
This is how you know he's been around me too long?
Were really rubbing off on him real quick?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
What do you guys think about Marvin Millms likely being
out for this game when the concussion protocols, that is
that the difference maker. No, I think it's concerning, But
I don't think the Texans were going to let you
bomb one down the field to Mims anyways. It's it's
a one less weapon you have to go to and
you need every weapon you can utilize against this Texans defense.

(01:08):
But I think the discrepancy between the Broncos pass rush
and the Texans line should keep this game low scoring
enough that you can survive a Nims absence.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
So I think it's more worrying than the return game.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
You see him get fifteen twenty yards like it's nothing
on a punt return when it looks like he should
get three to four yards.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
And it might be a field position game, it might change.
It's gonna be a lot of eyes on r J.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Harvey in this one, Philip filling in for him, and
that's the thing to drop off to RJ. Harvey from
NIMS has been substantial whenever it is a Harvey return
has been so far as NFL six pack.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
It takes time for the NFL six pad.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
I'm going to take a lot of insight and insight
information you can't find anywhere else No.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Six the top six NFL headline.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
What Despite protests from Will Reiker, the Minnesota Vikings Kicker,
and the NFLPA, the NFL is standing firm and maintaining
that the vikings Kickers missed kick.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
In London didn't hit their skycam wire and that it
was merely an.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Optical illusion that made it seem like it hit the skycam.
So they are refusing to remove the miss from Will
Record's stat line that could of course come into effect
when he's negotiating contracts or whatever else down the line.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Do you believe the NFL that this is just an
optical illusion and it didn't hit the skycam wire? And
if not, do you think this misshould count against him?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I do believe league, Actually, really yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
They have no incentive to lie on this, that we
have all kinds of angles here on this kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And I will tell you that if.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
They are lying, it will get out and they would
have no, you know, no recourse at that point on anything.
If they openly lied about something that's silly that you know,
that doesn't affect anything at this point.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
So I do tend to believe them on that.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I will say, you know, in regards to the dra
Greenlaw situation, it was an optical illusion that he was
reacting to Justin Sternad.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Drake Greenlaw didn't even see Sternad.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
He had been If you could look at the sideline angle,
green Law had been be lying for the official the
whole time. And if you look at the sideline angle,
it looks like Sternad jumps into the official. It was
in like freak it out trying to so different angles can.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Give an optical illusion on things. Uh.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Sometimes, you know. That's not to say that I don't
think Greenlow could have been a fine. It would have,
you know, but based on what he said, I had
a had to be suspended. But it was stern You know,
you didn't really need to find him for that. But
you know, there's the rules, and I guess, I guess
I understand that said. The NFL has no reason to
lie on this one.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
They don't.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
There's nothing to cover your own on this. I mean,
at the end of the day, Okay, yeah, it's skywire. Okay,
there's no reason and if they if found out, the
consequences would be severe.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
You don't think they're trying to like avoid embarrassment or
you know, cover the US come out and.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Say you just have the You would have Brian McCartney
come out and say we got it wrong, like you would,
just like there's no incentive for the league to lie
here at everything to lose.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
If they lied and got caught, that's fair.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Then I will have to say it must be the
most wildly effective optical illusion because it feels a little
George Orwellian where it's like, uh, i'd getting there, deny.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Your senses, get in there and get the other angles
on it, because we've got that.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
We've got you know, we have game pass. We can
go away and look at the other angles. And I
just need to do that. I haven't done it.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Two Giants running back Tyrone Tracy is ready to reclaim
his starting spot from last season with Cam Scattabo being
out for the rest of the year with a season
ending ankle injury.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
What are your.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Expectations for Tracy as the Giants lead back and how
much do you think New York's offense will suffer?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Well, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Scattabo was kind of the heart of what they did
on offense. Tracy doesn't bring that same energy. Always a
very talented back in his own right. Uh, it'd be
interesting to see. Uh. I, for whatever reason, had him
squirreled away on my fantasy roster. So this is the
one thing this year where I might have fallen backwards
into some good fortune thanks Cam Scattible. As far as

(04:52):
the rest of it goes, I mean, Tracy's a decent
running back.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
You could have some success in there. He's faster than.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Camp Scattible was, certainly, and I'd love to see him
on some outside zone stretch play type stuff to get
him out there, get him.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Some space and him let him run.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I feel bad for Tracy with how well Scataboo has
been playing. Honestly, I thought Tracy was one of the
most exciting, most promising rookie backs from last year's class
and just kind of got buried by a more exciting option.
I'm glad he at least gets this opportunity to audition
himself for other jobs.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Maybe. Yeah, yeah, there'll be I mean, you know, you
hope for the best for it.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Three.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills meet again in
another highly anticipated matchup this weekend. Do you think this
matchup will serve as a preview of this year's AFC
Championship game, and if not, who do you think makes
the AFC Championship.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Instead of the Chiefs and or the Bills.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I think there are four teams in the AFC. If
the season weren't end right now, maybe five.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
One of those two will be there. I think my
personal belief is one of those two will be there.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Could be both of them, could be the Chargers, could
be the Broncos, could be the Colts.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I ain't guess that's pretty much it.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Maybe the Ravens they backed door their way to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
I mean, they got a long way to go.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Obviously, they got to, you know, up against the Beamy.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Dolphins tonight, win that one and all at.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I think the Colts are probably the leaders in the
clubhouse right now, but I could very much see Casey
and Buffalo in there as well.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I think the Colts could be really scary come the playoffs.
To your point, that offense is putting up stats you know,
best since the twenty thirteen Broncos are best since the
O seven Patriots type offensive production, and then on defense,
you know they're not overwhelming, but you've got Louis an
Arumo who Grant will be very familiar with, knows how

(06:44):
to game are a great velops, great defensive game planner,
the one off game plans. Because the funneled momes multiple
times in the playoffs in the past, maybe they can
be the team to spoiled the They need another corner
and they might go to the well on grat Smith's Bengals.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
There cam Taylor Britzevaia. They might they might need to
go out and make a trade for him, bring him
into the fold because they need another corner.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
It would make a lot of sense.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
No love for the six and two Patriots tell you
they don't think they're I mean, look, I like.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
What they're doing. They're to a football team.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I just of all the teams, I feel like that
if you were to, you know, power rank the teams
as it sits right now. I put them behind the Chargers,
I put them behind the Broncos. I put them on
the Chiefs, the Bills, I put them on the Colts.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Do you have the Chargers ahead of the Broncos or
the Broncos head of the Chargers out of the Broncos, like.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Until because of the head to head until Sean Bayden
prooves he can beat Jim Harbaugh and he literally done
it once back when he was in New Orleans on
a last second field goal. Like until Sean Bayden prooves
he can do it, you got to do it to
do it, you know. I think the Patriots are such
an interesting case.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
They're like that great you know, group of five school
that goes eleven and one or twelve, I know, and
it's like it's a great record, but they haven't really
played anywhere like SMU or Indiana last year. Like, man,
that's a great record and they'll get into the playoffs.
Will that momentum continue for Patriots?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Get four games this year against the Jets and the Dolphins,
likes sense? I mean, come on, get we only get
two against the Raiders to this point in the season,
per I think it was DVOA. They've had the.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Easiest schedule in the league.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
From this point till the end of the season, they
have the easiest schedule in the league. And it's the
easiest schedule I think as far as DVOA.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Has gone back to like the.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Eighties or something, it's one of the softest schedules I've
ever seen.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
So four we were.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Talking about the throwback uniforms last night with Nick Here,
We're gonna see three more alternate slash throwback uniforms this weekend.
As the Green Bay Packers they view their nineteen twenty
three inspired look with a fake leather helmet and everything,
The New York Giants will bring back their eighties inspired uniform,
and the Washington Commanders will wear their quote unquote Super

(08:45):
Bowl era throwback. Of these three uniforms, which do you
think is the best? Which do you think is the worst.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
If the Packers went with the actual leather helmets, they
would win. But on this one, I think you gotta gold. Washington.
Those Super Bowl uniforms pretty tight, man. Like those the
Giants uniforms. They're okay, but there's nothing real special about
their their eighties uniforms or whatever.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
It's just like a tweak, tweak design difference than what
they have now. You know, I'm with you on the
Washington Union forms.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I think they've done the Redding yellow look a lot
better than the Chiefs, and I the look than the
modern one.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
They're the one team that's incorporated black in their uniform
that isn't a part of their color scheme or whatever.
That looks right onto those black uniforms and washed glass
are nice.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Can we need to all agree that the Pittsburgh Steelers
throw back uniforms from Sunday Night are the worst.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
You missed the conversation on this yesterday.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Those helmets were awesome, the yellow helmet they rested horrible
with the terrible had you had this, there's somebody izy
our list of texted in saying that it doesn't like
they stole the uniforms from the Dark Knight after they
fa blew up the stadium.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Zach was saying, somebody said they looked like suicide vests.
They kind of did. Yeah, Like those uniforms were terrible.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Those the yellow hers, if they had the yellow helmet
with like the black Steelers uniform and the black pasts.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
That would look Troy Poulam all over the alternates. I
pulled it up and that showed Ferguson a photo of
hinz Warden of the yellow helmets, mad yellow normal black
jerseys and then yellow numbers and nameplates.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
It was a good look. And we also agreed that
the Broncos have the best throwback we did.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
We did agree on that that was because we had
one of the other teams Eagles.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Now I said have the best, like I think all
the Bucks were close. The Broncos have the best uniform.
You know, we one we didn't mention last night. That
came to me after the fact. The Jacks. I think
that Jags throw back was pretty nice.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
I also like the Texans alternate black uniform. I like
the Texans red uniforms, like the old reds. I like that.
I didn't like both those. We were where always there
last night.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I was like, the Broncos had the best throwback uniform.
It's like right up there with Tampa. You know, the
cream stickles, but the closet Eagles.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Oh, we gotta go with the Chargers. We didn't mention
the like throwbacks are good.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
I'd like them to be.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I don't like the ones like I hate were not good.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
But anyway, the Chargers with the powder blues, they get
the dark blues, they get the old.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Like the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Outside of that, you're a RTLLY uniform like the rest
of the maurri it's digital p digital.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Bengals defensive tackle McKinley Jackson has officially requested a trade
from the team, making him the third defensive player currently
on the roster with an active trade request, and the
fourth to raise such a request in the past ten months.
This isn't even including cam Taylor Britt, who's been benched
in likely seems like he'll be traded.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Why do you think so.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Many Bengals defenders are wanting to be traded? And how
do you think the Bengals can fix this drain or
this cultural problem. It's a bad unit with a coach.
They don't know that they weren't drafted by or four.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
They're trying to make do on in a bad organization
that frankly they don't want to, you know, a cheap organization. Frankly,
they don't want to be a part of, like I debtate,
like you know. I mean, the Bengals aren't gonna honor
like almost any of these. But good for you for
request of a trade that you know you'll be gone
this offseason.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
But don't you think it's I think it's all the organization.
When you treat a draft pick like they did Shamar
Stewart this year, and you treat your best franchise defensive
end the way they treated him this offseason, yeah, you
realize that, Hey, I'm not going to get paid here.
We're not winning and like you said, we don't know
the scheme. It's a new coach. We loved our old
DC Like. It's just all bad for the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Yeah, this is all those reasons the Bengals have been
cheap for years. The scheme isn't good. These players don't
know the coach. The coach doesn't like some old media.
That's just how that stuff goes.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
And you know, if you're a Jamar Chaser, you know
any of these college players and Bengals players, you'll have
college teammates likely that are somewhere elsewhere around the league,
and you'll hear how you know, maybe their families are
treated better by the organization. They have better meals set up,
and you know, yeah, the family and care stuff, the
ability to attend games and to support their.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Husbands and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
And the Bengals I remember being like thirty second or
twenty ninth or something in.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Those nflpns US or something. Yeah like that.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
I'm sure players talk and you know that might have
you looking up for greener pastors.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, it's I mean, I don't blame them at all.
I don't blame them.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Six Jim Ersay's daughters announced today that they would be
off off much of Ersa's legendary collection of memorabilia and
other items from pop culture. Some of the more legendary
pieces will also travel the country as part of a
public exhibition.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
The collection includes instruments.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Once played by the Beatles, Prince Jimmy Hendrix, Kirk Cobaine,
and Eric Clapton, among several others, and pieces of sports
history like Muhammad Ali's championship built from the Rumble in
the Jungle, the saddle used for Secretary AT's triple crown,
and pieces of American history like a more than two
hundred year old copy of the Declaration of Independence. What

(13:34):
do you make of this decision to auction and exhibition
the works? And which artifact would you most want to
add to your collection?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And I printed out at little I think, Yeah, I
think I know which one I would I would add.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
For those of you haven't had the opportunity to view
any of this stuff, you missed out on a tree.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
He would display some of this stuff and you got
a chance to see real pieces of Americana. Hopefully it
comes through the exhibition. Yeah, I'm hoping. I'm hoping as
far as it goes. I there's two things.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
I mean, the declaration would probably be at the top,
and then Karaacs on the road manuscripts.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Yeah, I have one of Karaaks. It would be like
his niece, I guess or great niece whatever.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Anyway, he's a friend of mine and she like that
would be you know, there'd be a gift you'd send
a piece of memory send to them that they would.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Just be, you know, crying about controversial Karaac opinion. Dharma
bums better than.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
On the road.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
I mean, you're probably right on that.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
I mean to be honest with you, you know, at
the end of the I mean we could have that
debate off the air, but you probably I probably agree
with you.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
I don't think it's that controversial. I like the debate.
Some I didn't mention in my earlier list.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Some Muhammad Ali fight Warren Championships for shoes, his walkout
Road from the Sunny liston type so one. I think
i'd want though, Jackie Robinson baseball bat he used for.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
The nineteen fifty three season. I think that would be
pretty crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
He's also got bits of film Memorabilian here, like the
Wilson volleyball from Castle.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yeah, and the Golden Ticket from the set of Willy Wonka. Yeah,
there's a there's a lot of the Secretariat saddle like.
He's got a bunch of stuff. I saw that from Prince.
He's got it's a couple of different guitars. He's got
a Stivy Hitters guitar. He's got a Prince guitar. I did.
He did the guitar collection when we were up there
one year and it was it was it was really
cool to get to uh, to get to see that.
So he is the Beatles drum set from their famous

(15:23):
Ed Sullivan show Kaping. He's got the handwritten lyrics from
Paul McCartney for Hey Jude.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
He's got crazy stuff in that collection. So it's really cool.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Like I said, if it does come through Demro, I
would strongly urge people to go see.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (15:37):
This thing is.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
It is a lot of.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Americana in this stuff, and you won't get an opportunity
to have that many pieces assembled together for for quite
some time. We're gonna hit a break and come back.
Ryan Koenigsberg from DNB are going to join us. He
is the text line about Ulaine Man at the head coach,
Eyeball on that LSU job and maybe maybe he had

(16:01):
too many eyes on that.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Not enough eyes on what was going on.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
They got outscored for the second time this season. The
first quarter by UTSA got out to what thirty one
to twelve something like that lead it to half.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Meet me the UTSA Roadrunners.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Let's go out to the Kway Coms balth hotline and
bring on our guy, Ryan Koningsberg. He's a big time
over there at the NVR and obviously got the podcast
with the keep to leave the note Live Zone.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
Ryan.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
How you doing, buddy, I'm doing good.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Man. How are you guys doing?

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, doing pretty good, doing pretty good. Let's start off
with the downer stuff. First see you this past weekend. Man,
it was it was rough. That was a rough watch.
When you know late in the first quarter this thing
is over. That's that's tough. And I guess the question
sort of becomes, I don't think primes on the hot seat,
But at what point, because I mean you're and you're

(16:48):
a Colorado a long, you're color of fan, at what
point does the production have to start for Dion?

Speaker 6 (16:55):
Well, I think the production has started.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
I think the production has been there, especially considering where
this program came from when coach Prime got now. I
think the way that this is all lined ups is
interesting because the first year, you're coming off of, you know,
the worst team in college football the year before. So
that year four wins is like, okay, that's actually pretty

(17:18):
darn good. Last year they win nine games, which is
obviously a great season for this program, and then this
year you lose your quarterback, you lose the Heisman Trophy winner,
you lose a lot more so now it's like a
transition year. And so the way that the timing has
lined up, I feel like has made this look worse.
That being said, results like last weekend are not acceptible,

(17:39):
and you know, I think it opened up some some
wounds for CU fans to see their team look like that,
because that looked a lot like the team before coach
Frome got here. But outside of that game, this year
they've been very competitive. And so you know, you go
to the wire with Georgia Tech, who's undefeated in the
top ten, you go to the wire with UYU, who's
undefeated in the top ten. I think this team's lot

(18:00):
better than they were before Coach Trump got here, and
they're kind of running into a weird transition year here.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Tyler Ryan Koenigsberg from d MVR, let's get the better subjects.
The Broncos absolutely destroyed, dominated whatever else you wanted to,
whatever other adjectives you want to use the Dallas Cowboys.
But a little bit of a different test coming up
this weekend with the Houston Texas. Texans is one of
the better defenses in the league. Their offense has been
the side that struggled, and Marvin Mims been in the

(18:26):
concussion protocol a week looks doubtful to play on Sunday.
What are we thinking of this team's chances without Marvin Mims?

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah, I mean Marvin would be great to have. And
it's an interesting game because both teams are going to
be trying to figure out how the hell do we
stop the other team's tax rushers. And you know the
way that these two teams line up. He got either
Sean Payton, do you trust him to figure out a
plan to stop their passers or do you trust Nick

(18:56):
Kyley over with the Texans. I think that's where the
Broncos have advantages from a coaching perspective, especially on the
offensive side.

Speaker 6 (19:03):
Of the football.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
So I think it's going to be a real like
chess match, grinded out.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
Every first down or any explosive play that you can
create in this game is worth a lot.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
But I feel good about the Broncos chances given the
fact that they have, in my opinion, the much better
offensive mind on their side.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Well it's interesting and I would agree with you on
those points.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
So one thing that I haven't really heard talked about
in the lead up to this matchup is sort of
the head coaching carousel angle of it. The Broncos went
after Jim Harboy, he decided to go back to Michigan.
Then they went after Demiico Ryans. Then they you know,
they thought they had that settle. They go back up
there to Harbor to make a second pitch. Ryans gets
wind of it and decides to help Denver, goes to Houston,
and then the Broncos wind up with an extended coaching

(19:45):
search that circles back around to Sean Payton. Sean Payton
certainly elevated the Denver Broncos, but is there anything to
the jilted angle or the you know, this coach versus
that coach, any any part of that even playing into
this for you this weekend.

Speaker 6 (20:01):
You know, if Sean Payton is.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
Aware of all that that you just kind of laid
out and that's kind of and that's the way it
shook out.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
I think he'll be focused on it.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
I think he'll be the type of guy who's like, oh,
I'm going to show them that they made the right decision,
or you know, if you want to put it that way,
he got lucky that they ended up with me, Like,
I'll show you how.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Much better of a coach I am.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
So I think that he would think of it in
that way, But I don't know if there's much to
the story of all that.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Yeah, I think that's I guess, because he is that guy.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
So Sean Bayden, like whatever, whatever you think of Sean Baton,
he's petty and that works if you're on his side,
right because he will absolutely take, you know, pull out
all the stops against teams.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
He feels like our places, he feels like you was slighted.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I will say, I think I think it's fine because
the last time we really had that here in Denver
was when all of a sudden everybody was talking about
fired Vic Fangio and they were gonna bring in Kellen
Moore and then the Broncos going to Dallas and absolutely
beat the Brakes off than Dallas offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
I'm kind of wondering if we're getting one of those
kind of games this weekend from Sean.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
That would be electric. And I didn't.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Vic also make like a little comment a little the game.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Did Yeah, I had something about I think it was,
you know, a young, hot, young offensive quarter in my
ass or something like that.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I don't remember exactly what it was as close to that,
but yeah, I mean, that's the last time we had.
I love it. I love it when the when people
get petty.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
I mean my favorite all time musician, Tom Petty, uh,
my favorite race car driver, Richard Petty.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I mean you you you you. I'm part of the
Petty parade. When it comes to this kind of stuff,
I live for it.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
So I'm here for Petty Sean Payton to come in
there and be like, oh, okay, all right, you guys
wanted this guy. Well look what I can do to
you know, Day's defense, which was you know, number one
coming into any of the game as it were. If
the Broncos win this game is it undeniable that they're
a contender.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Absolutely, I think it's already undeniable that they're a contender.
But I think, well, I don't know. I think that
if you're not sold now, then you probably be sold
until you see the Broncos by the Chiefs. So I
don't know if you don't think they're a contender now,
I don't think beating the Texans, who don't even have
a winning record is.

Speaker 6 (22:08):
Going to put you over the top.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
I think that the people who aren't sold to this
point are saying, Okay, well show me what you can
do against the Chiefs when you line up with that team.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
So I don't know.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
To me, they are a contender. To me, they've already shown,
you know, that they have the right ingredients.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
To compete at the highest level in this league.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
But this would be another feather in the cap. And
I really think what I've been pointing to is like,
if you find a way to win this one, you
really should beat the Raiders at home on Thursday night football,
and then that matchup with KC could really be one
that swings things like crazy. You know, everyone who is
on the other side of the aisle I think would
come over to the Broncos side if they were able

(22:50):
to win that one.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Yeah, I think.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
I mean, for me, they've checked all the boxes but one,
and that's beating an elite defense.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
The Eagles were without some players when we beat them.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
They're still a good defensive me wrong, I don't want
to take anything away from that, but they haven't beaten
an elite defense yet yet this year. And I believe
that you know, you do that to Houston. I think
you check every box. You've already shut down an elite
offense in Dallas. I mean, you completely shut them down.
You've had You've shown that you can come back in
different scenarios, either on the road in London, on the
road in Philly, or at home against the Giants. You know,

(23:19):
you've basically shown that you can do all of these things.
The only thing they haven't really done yet is beatn
elite defense. And I think you check that box and
all of a sudden, you got it. There's just no
way you can deny that they are a contender.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
I like that, and that's that's a kind of a
fun little feather to add to the cap ord skin,
to add to the wall. As John Fox would have said,
and again, like I as far as going up against
an elite defense goes, I really like the way the
Broncos matchup in this one in the sense that I
think the Broncos defense is right there with the Texans,

(23:51):
and I think it's a better matchup for them against
the Texans offense save for the Pat injury, which you know,
if Chris Abrams drain can play as well as he
did on Sunday, then that won't plays.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Big of a role. But then I like the fact
that the Broncos, like Sean Payton.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
I was watching a video today with Taron Armstead, who
I think is doing some stuff with.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
PFF, and he was talking about how.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
When he played for Sean every week, Sean just had
four plays where he's just like, if you guys execute
this against this defense, against this look, it's a touchdown,
like one hundred percent, it will be a touchdown. And
I think that Sean's going to be able to manufacture
enough offense or the Broncos in this game, given you know,
execution from the offensive side that gets them over the

(24:33):
top and gets them enough points.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Ty Ryan Conisberg from DMVR and the No Lies On
podcast will keep the lead the loss of Suitanny is
going to be big. How big do you expect that
and how much impact do you expect that to have
on this defense.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
It's so hard to say because the rest of the
defense is really good, but it's kind of one of
those well, you can't play defense the way that you
like to, or at least we don't expect.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
You to be able to play defense the way that
you like.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
To because you built that whole thing around pastser Tin
as you should, and so you This is a real
test of vance Joseph and one that I think he
should really relish because it's one of those ones where
if you can game plan without pass er ten and
show that you can put together an elite defense and
elite defensive performance without him over the next few weeks,

(25:22):
then I think it's a huge feather in his cap for,
you know, his quest to become a head coach.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Again. That being said, like the way I put it
on our podcast.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Was like if the Broncos were to lose a game
and you look back and said, man, if they had
pat they would have won. That shouldn't be a surprise
to anyone that's the best player on the football team.

Speaker 6 (25:40):
So anyone loses their best football player for an extended period.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Of time, Like, it's not going to surprise you if
you lose a game because of that.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
But I think that they have the right guys around.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Him, and hopefully Chris A from the Strain, you know,
who has only been good and his opportunities in the
National Football League, I think can pick up slack for
him for a few weeks and hopefully it's just a
few weeks.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, that was led right into what I was going
to ask next about Abramstraining limited work.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
We've we've kind of seen him play pretty well.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
He does play a little bit more off than Certan does,
does you know, let things keep but keeps everything in
front of it, And he's been a short tackler. I
just I wonder if I don't want to say that
it's beneficial to assertan out because that's stupid, But is
there something to the idea that teams can't just try
to pick on Riley Moss anymore and they may try
to go after Abramstrain and that may actually make the

(26:30):
secondary get a way sort of better in a limited
TOM frame.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
That's an interesting way of looking at it.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Maybe, I mean, I think the way that I would
maybe look at it is teams might not get as
obvious of looks against the Broncos, and to this point
it hasn't really mattered. But you know what they're going
to do, and they know what they're gonna do, and
they just do it and they say good luck beating it,
which sometimes simplifies things for the opposing quarterback and maybe
make them a little more comfortable.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
We'll see if they kind of mix it up a
little bit more with out which I expect, and.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
Maybe, you know, confuse some teams and maybe that's how
they end they end up getting turnovers because obviously the
turnovers haven't come at the rate that we would like
them too. Last week was really nice, but leading into that,
it wasn't what we were expecting from this defense. So
maybe having to mix it up and maybe having to
maybe needing to confuse the quarterback a little bit more
could help this defense create more turnovers.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Tymy Ryan Coenigsberg from the n v R in the
No Lies On podcast, how has that been going?

Speaker 2 (27:27):
What's coming up for you?

Speaker 5 (27:28):
And A keep? Yeah, man, it's been amazing.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
A Kiev Is is great because I think he's hilarious.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
He does not hold anything back.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
You're always going to get exactly what is on his mind.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
And then the last part of it is he knows
balid an elite, elite level. I think it's one of
the most underappreciated things about a keep going all the
way back to his playing days. It's like this dude
watched more film than anyone, Like he really really gets
it at a high level. So I'm always interested to
hear what he has to say. And yeah, he's just

(28:02):
a I think he has like an infectious personality that
once you start watching, you can't stop.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, it's it's always fun to watch him, and be
careful watch your chain out there, all.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Right, exactly.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
I have one question for you about Chris Abrams Strange
Hey farre Away.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
If Sean Payton says that he has.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
The best hands on the team and the guy runs
a four four forty, is he doing on the defense?

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Great minds?

Speaker 1 (28:24):
I love it, Yes, So make him a receiver, especially
if we got mimes out for this thing.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
I mean, what you want you to put him on
the fly, put him on the post? What could go wrong?

Speaker 5 (28:32):
Yeah, That's what I'm saying, because like we need him
on defense this week and for a few weeks moving forward.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
But man, he's wasting on our.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
Best hands on the team.

Speaker 6 (28:40):
Guy's elite hands at elite speed. Get him out there,
get him, get him the ball.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, I love I love this, so you know, because
Sean no speaking hyperbolely like that, but I do love
the You know that somebody pose that to him. Maybe
That's what I'll do next time, I say, I'll pose
that question to him. See see how hard I get
the icy stare from from Sean Payton.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
And then Ryan, we really appreciate that. We really appreciate
the time.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Tonight, look forward to listen to the podcast, all the
stuff over there at the NVR and hopefully having you
back here.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
So appreciate you, man, Talk to you soon.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yep, take care.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Ryan Coenigsberg at Ryan Coeningsberg on Twitter, big time over
there at the Dan Artists, the Buffs podcast, Broncos podcast.
He's got the thing with the Keep to Lead. He's
he's like the Ryan Seacrest of Ryan Konigsberg's I.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Know man, that that Keep to Lead podcast is great because,
like he said, oh it keeps funny, he keeps is hilarious.
He does not hold back ye anything.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
I saw a clip of him the other day talking
about how he thinks Bo Nicks is by far the
best rookie quarterback to come out of his class, and
I was like, I don't know still, and then he
put it up all the numbers to back it up.
And that's the thing, like Ryan said, like you think
a keep is just sometimes talking to talk, but he's
always got the information and that everything to back it up,
which is what impresses me about him.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
He was down there in Tampa when I was down
there in Tampa for even you know, before he was
with the Broncos, so he was down in tawn with
us down there, and he's just I just appreciate how
much he's matured over the years. It was not you know,
he was a frequenter at certain establishments. Uh down there
in Tampa. We'd se him quite a bit, and I just, uh,
I appreciate much he's matured. But just how funny, dynamic
and engaging he is in presenting uh, in presenting football stuff.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
I think he's probably got a career at media if
he wants it.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
Well.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
He did a couple of games right a couple of
years ago. Yeah, I did some of that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I think he just I think he's probably better in
like a studio environment, like he can't talk how he wants, right.
I think I think if you could get him in
kind of that Randy Moss role, you know, that that
would be that would be what would fit him. But
we always appreciate having Ryan Coniesberg on the show and
get a chance to talk to him. But about all
that as well. Five six, six nine zero is the
text line I'll see here. We got the set of six.

(30:40):
Can we talk about what Sean Payton needs to do
to improve his mediocre performance? Without advance Joseph and the
d Sean would be going would be joining Belichick in
the college ranks.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Brouncles need a real head coach, not a has been Wow.
Wow did Brian start hating the Broncos. This isn't even
I sa this is from a seven H six. I
I don't know this is I mean, and I'm not
Sean Payton's biggest fan. I think Sean Payton's a very
good coach. I put him in the John Fox ranks
of you know, very good coaches. But I I mean,

(31:12):
I I don't I couldn't go this far has been.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
I mean, the Broncos are a better football team than
they were than they've been in a while. I think
Sean Payton makes you a playoff caliber, you know, football
team the same way Mike McCarthy makes you a playoff
caliber football team.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I'm not sure he gets some you know, over the hump.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Beyond that, we'll see you get in the playoffs and
you know, you got every opportunity at that point.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
And it helps to have great coaches around you, and
good coaches put good coaches around that.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
That's that's the other part of this is, yeah, great
coaches put put great coaches, so without you know, I
mean recognizing the dvance. Joseph is uh part of his
staff and you know, advance leaves and takes a head
coaching gig.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
It could be Jim Leonard in there. Get on next.
We got a bust of prime time coming up next.
Right here, don ka Way
