Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nine zero, which is the text line, guys are having
a good Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Why do we have a bad Wednesday?
Speaker 1 (00:09):
You might, I don't know. Wednesday is a top days honesday.
It's gonna be a bad Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
I don't know. So well, to be totally honest, could
be having a middling one.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, if you are a Raiders fan, it's been a
bad week for you, period, and your Thursday night is
gonna be worse.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
That's what we were alluding to or leading to there.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm hoping you're having a great Wednesday, because if you're
a Las Vegas Raiders or Oakland or Los Angeles Raiders,
or any places the Raiders have been over the years,
you're gonna have a bad Thursday.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Bad Thursday.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Although on the KWA experts pick I did go ahead
and keep the reverse chinks alive.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
You gotta stick with that? Is that gonna be your thing? Look,
I'm willing to make these sacrifice. Oh you're self sacrificing.
Give it back to you. Wow, people, thank you?
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Now, did young seegers follow your same trend or they
don't know?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I don't know if it or did not.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm rolling with the Raiders and I Rode with the
text is this past week Broncos won.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I put out the stat on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
I don't know if it's true or not, but it
got the fans off my back that every time I
picked the Broncos and Ben Betts against them, the Broncos
win this season.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
So I'm keeping the juju going as much as I can.
I took the Raiders three to two, just to make.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
It absolutely ridiculous so that nobody will understo that everyone
will understand what I'm doing.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
It's gonna have the opposite effect that that's not going
to preserve your mentions at all. It's gonna make them worse.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
I've also opened myself up to the if it works,
if it does not work and the Raiders miraculously win,
people are allowed to take a dump on my porch.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
That is that is, will.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
You broadcast your address? I already gave your address up.
It's like I don't even have a porch, but sure, yeah,
you guys can absolutely do this.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Here. Let me give you the address of somebody I
know that I don't like very much. Oh man, that's
my best work.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
I can't wait all Thursday. I've been excited. We got
coverage here on KA starting at noon. Raiders shorthanded. I
mean you trade away Jakobe Myers. The offense was already
a bit of a boondoggle. This year, they did get
Bauers back, and he did look pretty good against Jacksonville.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Why did you?
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Putting it mildly? Would say pretty good? I'm underselling. Yes,
he looked very good against Jacksonville. Is there any concern
about the way that we struggle to maybe limit tight ends?
That's our that's kind of been the one chink in
our armor defensively, and as we as we look at
(02:42):
what the Raiders do, their best weapons is the tight end.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I mean, if they.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Had other complimentary pieces outside the numbers, I would say yes.
But since they don't and they traded Jakobe Myers to
the Jacksonville Jaguars. To me, now, all the focus is
on finding brought Bauers wherever he lines up. All your
attention and focus and communication, which at times has been
(03:09):
somewhat of an issue for the Broncos second and third
level being the linebackers and in the secondary communicating.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
You really don't have that.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Problem, yeah, I mean their receivers are rookie jack Besh,
Trey Talker has got a little speed to him, and
then Tyler Lockett the corpse of Tyler Lockett that they
prop up out there for whatever reason. They do have
a big straight line guy we talked to Any Monsignori
about yesterday. Dante Thornton, and then Alex Bachman is really
the only other receiver they have on the roster. Ashton
Janty figured to be maybe a bit of a bigger
(03:38):
role for the for the Raiders this year has not
been as effective as maybe people fought him getting drafted
top ten would be, or he mostered hasn't really done
anything as the backup there either. Gino Smith's kind of
felt the wheels fall off a little.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Bit this year, and then they have and then this
is the part that gets me every time they have
a right tackle whose name is DJ Glaz, which sounds
like a doughnut.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
That you know, the works at a night club, come
to the sage ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Sounds like he and house entertainment at a Krispy Kreme.
When the light comes on, you know, maybe that's when
the when the hot sign comes on light, you know,
starts hitting hips and turntables.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
On the defensive side of things, they've got some better
personnel than they have had in recent years. They moved
Jeremy Chin to the nickelback position. Back there, Eric Stokes
is a pretty decent corner over there. Uh, kyblu Kelly
is all right.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Jamal Adams has found his home as a linebacker next
to Devin White and a Landon Roberts.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
And then up front, I think everybody's familiar with Max Crosby.
Speaker 5 (04:49):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
And then they got this interior.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
They get this kid Lalu, the defensive tackle who is
next to Malcolm Coons, and he tends to get.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
A little uh, he tends to get a little little push.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
You watch the tape, I.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Got the defensive lim Like, Okay, the Raiders aren't They're
not good, but they're they're at least better than they
used to be defensively.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Well, the idea is not to take this team definitely
for granted. Obviously they show that they're still competing or
looking to be competitive, regardless of what their.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Season record indicates.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
And you mentioned assing Gent, and I know when you
think about Gent, people have criticized Gens saying, okay, but
he was a top pick. He's not really showing his
drafts status, and I would tell those people, well, it
is hard for running back to run against like eight
nine people in the box, especially when you know the
(05:41):
Raiders are really limited offensively, so you stacked the box
and that was the time where there was no brock Bowers.
So and I'm not saying that gent is going to
run for massive amount or yards against the Broncos, but
let's be totally honest, it is a possibility based on
his skill set.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
The one thing I know all.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
About this kid is that he's not gonna be bag down
from any challenge. And when you see him run through contact,
that's the one thing that he did well in college,
and that's the one thing that I've seen him do,
like in the preseason, that he still can do against
the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
He is the primary and really the only ball carrier
that the Raiders use. He's run for four hundred and
eighty seven yards this year, which is good for sixty
one yards a game, but only three point nine per carry.
He has three rushing touchdowns at a fumble lost on
the year. Offensively, Myers was their second leading receiver and
the targets were pretty split up Myers had thirty three targets,
Trey Tucker thirty two, Bowers thirty one. Now, Bower's only
(06:40):
played in five games versus the other, so he is
the primary guy. The other two guys that get targets
are Mayor the tight end who replaced Bowers, and Janty
does get has had twenty receptions on the season. You
look at the other guys though, they just don't get much.
And by the way, Albert Okawaebanov is on that roster
as well. He has five receptions for thirty six yards
(07:02):
and two first downs on the season, but their touchdowns,
I mean it goes it goes to the tight end position,
goes to the running back, or it goes to Trey Tucker,
who really is and was their best receiver.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Everything, And from where I'm looking at, Ben, this game
shouldn't even be close, right, it shouldn't be close at all,
And the Broncos have to go out and assert themselves,
establish their dominance from.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
The word go get out there and score early.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Here's what it's going to be like. Because if the
Broncos get out to dare I say.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
A seven point lead, and that's seven nothing.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Now, if you advanced Joseph Man, you released the hounds, right,
I mean you release the hounds on Geno Smith because
when you look about at Geno's sacks twenty one sacks
so far this season one, and if I'm Nick Benito
and I'm John to the Cooper man, I'm looking at
(08:04):
my jots.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Yeah, I think defensively, I don't think there's going to
be much of an issue here. And offensively, the question
is can you eat going? I mean, this isn't a very
this isn't a great defense. They played better, They're not
as god awful as they used to be, but they're
still bad. They're bottom third of the league. Patrick Graham
runs the defense there. He's a pretty good coordinator, and
he's defensive passing game coordinator and d backs coach and
(08:28):
somebody Vance Joseph's very familiar with one.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Joe Woods.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Joe Woods a defensive coordinator under Vance Joseph when he
was the head coach here.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I remember sitting in a room with Joe Woods when
he was a dB coach for the Super Bowl fifty two.
Very smart guy, smart guy, he knows this stuff. But
here's the only problem with that. I mean, you could
be as smart as they come. But if you don't
have the athletes that can execute your defense or your offense,
(08:58):
it makes things a lot difficul who for you, So
I'm still leaning on the idea that this game shouldn't
even be close.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Bit well, yeah, I'm kind of with you on that.
The offense has been a giant liability for them all year.
Didn't show up against the Chargers, didn't show up against
the Chiefs. They got boat raiched by Kansas City in
Arrowhead just back on October nineteenth.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Defensively, they've not been bad, and they had.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
A decent game to open the season against the Patriots,
decent game against the Chargers. They played really well against
the Bears, even though they gave up twenty five points,
and then they played pretty well against the Titans.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
But it's the Titans, and they're not very good.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
They've had bad games against the Commanders, the Colts, the Chiefs,
and of course Jacksonville has past week in overtime.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Their special teams has been hit or missed.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
They just there's no consistency to anything they do, and
there's no reason for me to believe that this team
is going to be competitive on a short week coming
off overtime against Jacksonville, where teams, by the way are
three to twenty four coming off overtime losses against the
spreading straight up in their in the respect to short
week games after that, Well.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Here's what talking to certain people I know who are
familiar with the Raiders' organization, the idea is that everything
you just said, the short week kind of would have
one think that this team is not capable of competing.
But in their mind, almost like to jest, like the
(10:23):
season is already over for them.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
They're playing for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
So with this being a national game, the Broncos being
seven to two, this being a divisional game, and they've
heard all this talk about the Broncos fourth quarter comeback,
how brilliant Sean Payton is, how bo Nicks in these
fourth quarters, is attempts to completion ratio is so much better.
(10:51):
This is an opportunity for them. Their view in this
game as an opportunity to knock someone down. After the
demand to if you will, if it's.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Me and I'm Sean Payton, which of course I'm not,
and he won't, We're coming out. I'm activating Jaliel McLoughlin
and this is gonna be the run heaviest game plan
you've ever seen, featuring Tyler B. Bedet and Jualiel McLoughlin
a lot as we keep everybody fresh for the Kansas
ag that's four bats you're gonna have, absolutely, So you
(11:21):
gotta sit someone down.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
No, I don't set a receiver down. Oh Pat Bryan,
you know.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
What, Ben because the FCC rules. I'm not gonna say
what I thought, but cow chips straight cow chips.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
We could sit Frank Crumb down, NAGAA, not gonna use
him anyway.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
That sounds a lot better.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I'm just saying, like you get any any of the above,
Like if it were me, we would be This is
a thing like I'd give Dobbins and Harvey if he
carries early and we get out to the lead.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Well, I'm using Bidet and.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
McLoughlin and running the ball every chance I get and
not putting anybody at risk. We were running this thing out.
We're not putting anything on tape for Kansas City to
look at. Well, they got two weeks because we all
know Andy Reid's record coming off of Bye. I'm keeping
it as conservative as possible this thing out.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
And I totally disagree. Treat this game like as a
preseason game. And I want to say, all due respect
to the Raiders, so we should start your at Stidham.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
No, that's that's not what I said. What I'm saying
is treated like a preseason game. Run the ball, get
the run game established. You know it's going to be
plays out there to be made in the first quarter,
let alone in the fourth quarter, just depending on who's
the running back in at that time. And the goal
(12:45):
is how quickly can I get my starters out of
the game. Yeah, that's that's what I'm getting.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
That's the mission. That's why I'm calling the preseason game.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Because at halftime you want to say, Stindham, the ball
is yours, Your ball is, we're running.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
We're running dive the rest of the game.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yes, you can full house backside, tell you what We'll
run a stretch play for each of you two.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yes. And here's the other thing too. I know you said,
well Andy.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Reid, you quoted Andy Reed's record after bye to me,
you want to put things on tape for the Kansas
City Chiefs to prepare for if you have anything on
that restaurant menu that you wanted to dial up that
you haven't been able to dial up due to down
and distance. This is the game that she put it
on tape, no matter if it's successful or not. Treated
(13:31):
like a preseason game. Once again, run all of those things.
If you want to run, maybe two gadget plays. That's
the limit, no more, no less, two gadget plays.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Well, I'll let you do one, so you could put
something on tape. We got to practice against.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
The two weeks.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Yes, but otherwise it's vanilla. We're not tipping our hand.
We're not giving anything away.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
We're not We're not going that vanilla.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Bin Oh, vanilla has flavor. We're going we're going flavorless
than that is vanilla. This is flavor for this is
playing y overt That sounds like cottage. She's man, I
hate cottage.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Just playing yogurt? Well, is it Greek yoga? Though? Playing
Greek yogurt? Okay, playing Greek yoga. There's no flavoring in there,
no sweeter in there. It's that bitter that's not as
what we're doing. You don't want to go that playing jay.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
You want to put a little seasoning on it because
it is Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Football and oh, by the way.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
When we look at the Broncos offense, they haven't looked
at well in the first three quarters. To me, you
put your best foot forward. You put your foot on
the gas. Better from the once the ball is kicked off.
I mean, it's no host bar.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
I just want to get in there healthy. We got
ten days to play the Chiefs. We got a chance
to get playing. We got this monkey to get off
our backs.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Come on, man, you're playing it to the safe. It's no,
don't play it safe. You can always put your foot
on the gas. Well, we're starting off with running the football.
That's fine. You still run the football. You gas them out.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
You you have them thinking, run game, play action. You
take your shot down field. Because people hear Broncos come street,
they want more shots down feel.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I know Sean Paygne wants more shots if you don't
care what anyone else wants. So I want to make it.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
I want to make it to ten days from now
or ten days from you can stay healthy.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
You can do the same thing. Oh, by the way,
beat the Raiders up. Why are you doing it? Come on,
doesn't like that.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
We can beat them up in the ground game.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Remember that time they ran crunch on us ten straight
plays and like twenty one twenty three plays.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, we're gonna do the same thing to them. That's fine,
but you still run belly twenty one times.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
Hey, belly week, Hey, hey twenty one times.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Sorry, both niggs could be in a herded like I'm sorry, coach,
did I?
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Did I hear you correctly? Were running it again? You're
just sitting there rubbing his belly.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Say, coach, are you have like Pillsbury dough boy out
there on the sideline with the waffles menu?
Speaker 3 (15:45):
No, you asked the coach, Do you have an upset
stem and you need that pepto?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
No, you need the pig stuff. No, we're running belly again,
Billy weak again. I'm gonna have a grin like Jack
Nicholson and Anger Management.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Just saying Andy Reid twenty one and four following the bye,
I don't want to overlook the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
But I don't want to give anything away.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
You won't be giving anything away then, because what have
you really seen up to this point from the Broncos
offense that they would actually be giving away more screen passes?
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Okay, sideline shots to Troy Franklins screen pass.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
If I see another screen pass between Sean Payton and
Pass Charm.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
The most ardent Sean Payton supporters have finally got to
the point where they're like, dude, just bury that play.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Just just bear for whatever reason it doesn't work.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
We don't block it upright, whatever it is, it doesn't work,
just bury it.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
The likelihood that that would actually you know what, how
about we do how about we do this? Is that
lit's see, uh, this is little over under on screen
passes and tomorrow night's game. What do you what do
you think, Zach? What do you think that's gonna look like?
And then I'll go to you, Ben, what do you think.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
I'd throw the number? Am I setting the line or
am I making a prediction?
Speaker 2 (17:06):
You do both?
Speaker 1 (17:10):
I mean I would set the line probably around five
and a half, six and a half.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Exactly where I would have said it. Five point five
would be the line, right.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Because they set a high at like ten or eleven
a couple of weeks, so it's not that much higher
than that. I'd say, Oh man, I think I would
take the under because I think you see them run
a lot of screen passes, like they didn't run any
screen passes against the Cowboys because you were running all
over them and you could pass down field on them
with these because they were all these windows.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
I think the Raiders defense.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Will be closer to that than it was to like
the Texans or like the Jets, where I think they
defaulted to the screens because it was I mean, the
Jets was conservatism, but the Texans, I think it was
kind of throwing their hands up.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Ben, what do you think.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
I think Sean Payton's gonna troll me and throw forty
screen passes in this game. The audible to the screen
is going to be all bright at the line just
to troll me.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
I'm odd for me.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
I think it's gonna be the under because, for one,
they have to find some way to slow down Max
Rosby right, and trying to get him to run sideline.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
The sideline.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
That's gonna be the mindset because what throwing the bubble
screen out there, because he'll flash his hands up there
try to intercept it.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
We've seen him, We've seen him take off screenplay.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Yeah. But the idea is that if whatever side he
lines lines up on them because they like to move
him around, you run the screen opposite him. Because he
is athletic enough and long enough to get his hands up,
bat it down, catch it, and make an attempt to
have a dash towards the end zone. So the idea is,
stud wherever he is, you run the screen away from him,
(18:47):
and because he is a run and chase guy, that's
one of his skill sets, and you want to tire
him out because if he's tired chasing the early screenplays,
he's not going to get up phil on bow when
you run the play action plays.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
You know what else? Tires defensive ends out?
Speaker 1 (19:02):
What's that running the ball right at them with double teams?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Putting it out there? By the way, somebody speaking of
just putting it out there?
Speaker 1 (19:09):
The nine seven zero before we go to break, artificial
vanilla comes from a gland near the beaver's anis. I'm
sorry what Broncos Country A night back after this, I
went to the break The nine seven oh said artificial
vanilla comes from a gland near a beaver's anis that
is correct. Gastorium apparently is so fragrant that we've been
(19:30):
using it to flavor ice cream, chewing gum, putting it brownies,
basically anything that you could use. A vanilla, raspberry or
strawberry substitute for about eighty years. However, these days they
tend to use vanilla and which is a synthetic because
it's it's cheaper, easier, and more readily available, and you
don't obviously have to go get beaver secretions to make
that work.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
See that's really interesting because I was reading during the
break it said beavers do excrete sweet smelling.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Ataboo, and they still use it as safety. They still
use it apparent because people have that. They still use
it in uh in like fragrances and stuff too.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
That's very interesting. That's this is why I like Vanela
Bean and Madagascar.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
You'll pay up for the actual labs so you don't
get beaver ainus juice.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah. I don't know about to Zac Seegers, but I
know I'm getting that Medagascar on.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
That Let's go out to the ka Wait Commas trail
the hotline and bringing a guy.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Paul Chargidon, because if there's ever a better segway.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Who's who's the first guy that found out that tastes
pretty good?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
The first one? And you got this beaver pinned down and.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
You're like, I'm going for it, Like wow, this is
actually pretty good.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
This was my first question this was, this was legitimately
My first question was like, who is the first guy
to put their face in the beaver? And I just
left it there for obvious reasons.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Pauling ill to get our sense of humor here.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Uh, my sense of humor is at all time low
because my fantasy my fantasy lineup just continues to be terrible.
After that player's only meeting, they decided to continue stinking.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
And so we're just we're just we're just out here
trying to make ends meet. This week, we saw Jacoby
Myers go from the.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Raiders to the Jags.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
That catably gives the Broncos defense a little bump this week,
even if they're already up there and you know, in
the mustart territory.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
But what does that do for Jacoby Myers over there
with the Jaguars.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Yeah, you know, he basically falls into the worst possible
spot that he could. It's such a dumb trade for
the Jaguars because you're already deep at receiver unless they've.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Completely ruled up Brian Thomas.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Right, So, Brian Thomas was the rookie receiver last year.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
That was so good.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
He was he was in the hunt for Rookie of
the Year and then it's all fallen apart. This year
drop passes running routes that are clearly in the wrong spot,
and just that body language that looks like he doesn't care.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
And sometimes we read too much into body language.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
But you know, also there's just you know, you've seen
a player a bunch of times, you can tell when
the effort is there when it's not.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Brian Thomas hasn't been there. But this is still a
really deep team.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
They were getting run out of Parker Washington, Dammy Brown.
You know, here's Jacoby Myers. He's just a rental player.
He's on the very end of his deal. A baffling
move to me for the Jaguars. There were so many
great spots where he could have gone like Buffalo and
made a real impact right away.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
This is a this is it's a weird spot.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
And I think Jacoby Myers honestly kind of falls off
our radar from a fantasy standpoint.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Now, so what happens that with Arizona?
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Because I know Kyler Murray, I think he's being placed
on IR So Jacoby Brissett now.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Is under the the on the center. Now, so what
does that mean?
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Now, would you suggest fantasy owners go out, if you
don't have Jacoby Brissett and you hadn't picked him up,
go go rust off right now and grab him.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
Ah, well, if you're in a two quarterback league, yeah,
I think he's got to be rostered. But that's probably
about it.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
So you know, it's this feels like a.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
Chance to take a cheap shot at Kyler Murray. Whicheverbody's
doing right now, it's pretty easy.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I think if you look at what we don't like.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
About Kyler Murray, I think we're back to this body
language thing. That's part of it, because his body language
seems disinterested in a lot of games.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
He's paid very well.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
That clause remember the clause in his contract from his
last deal where they they build games, they had to
study the playbook.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
And not play video games. Yes, remember that.
Speaker 5 (23:16):
I mean, Nick, that was a lot like your contracts, right,
a lot of no video game language. Yessett has been
per Set's been better.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I mean, he's just been better.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Three starts, multiple touchdowns in every game, more passing yards
in all three of the Jacoby Brissett starts than any
of the five Kyler Murray starts. And here's the funny
thing though, that I'll mention, and I'm honestly glad that
Brissett's starting, But Marvin Harrison and Trey McBride are the
only two Cardinals we care about in this passing game.
(23:48):
They actually have gotten no.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Better under Brissette.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
It's just a Presette can actually pass to other players,
and so those guys are holding really steady, Marvin Harrison,
Tray McBride, But like Jay Jones and Michael Wilson and
Greg George, guys who don't care about Brittet can actually
distribute the ball there once in a while, and that's.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Helped I think the totality of this offense.
Speaker 5 (24:08):
But in terms of Brissette himself, that's going to be
just a spot starter.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
In deeper leagues, I still care about the human doors.
I still care as we want to talk with Paul
Charchie in here.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Paul, what did you.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Explain guillotine leagues to the people out there who don't
know what they are?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Because it's become a phenomenon.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
You're the pioneer behind a lot of that, and people
keep texting and asking what exactly is a guillotine league?
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Thank you for asking. Ben Guillotine Leagues. It starts with
as up to as many weeks as they are left
in the season.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Now that's nine weeks left in the seasons. She gets
play with up to nine teams. You can go to
Guillotine leagues dot Com if you want to play.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
And the way it works is instead of playing head
to head Ben versus Nick, which is traditional fantasy, instead,
every week the low screen team gets chopped from the
league forever and all their players go to the waiver wire,
and then we can bid on all of those and
so if Bjohn Robinson has a bad game and takes
down the rest of your your roster, alosen be Jon
(25:06):
Robinson's I'm a waiver wire. So we end up building
in enormously powerful teams over the course of time. All
you have to do is not finish last. It's a
ton of fun. It's a totally new way to play,
and for those of us that have been playing traditional
fantasy football for a long time, this is a fresh
new take on fantasy football. Eetine least a coom all.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Right, So last week against Jacksonville, Cam Little sixty eighty
yard field goal, right, and now I'm thinking that there's
been a lot of things that have happened in my
lifetime that I never thought would happened.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Could we be on the verge on Thursday Night Football?
Speaker 3 (25:43):
That Cam Little actually extends history with a seventy yard
field goal?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Wow, hadn't really thought about the prospect.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
You're saying he's gonna double up on his record and
break his own record. Jaguars kicker? Just did he go longer?
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Well, we've got Raiders at Broncos. Right, he's the Jaguars kicker.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
There's something here. I'm not following the jacksar the Jacks
who played the Broncos. Are we playing Jackson? We're playing
here this year? Jakes? I think if I'm not saying
they play here? Yeah, I think the Jacks come here
in a couple of weeks. Yes, they play here.
Speaker 5 (26:21):
Oh you're talking a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Not there, not tomorrow night?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Okay, Yes, Mick's trying to prep for the playoffs, so
I'm trying to prep.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
For the off ramp.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
Yeah, all right. Sorry, it took me a second to
keep up with the conversation, which you know, three or
four whiskey's in. That's gonna happen, and that's usually that's
my prep for this, for this every week is just
three or four shots Cam Little. I mean we never thought.
I'm we're old enough to remember when the fifty yard
field goal was kind of a big deal. We were
(26:50):
giving double fantasy points for fifty yard field goals instead
of three when you get six. Now, the fifty yard
field goals and every day occurrence. Cam Little is an
astounding player and maybe the best. You know, maybe it's
going to turn out to be one of the best
kickers of all time. The sixty eight yard that he
kicked would have been good from what do you think,
seventy seventy one?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
So yeah, I mean there's a.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
Real chance that that history could get made here at
some point. I'm old enough to remember when the Broncos
kickers were shoeless. I mean that goes back.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Aways, but I can remember those days.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Rich Carlish, Rich Carlas, that's a should carless, shoeless and
Carlos how was he getting around?
Speaker 2 (27:26):
You look at talking of.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Paul Charchy and fight him on Twitter at Paul Scharcian Dallas.
The offense was blazing hot for a couple of weeks there.
It seems to have kind of fallen off a cliff
after playing the Broncos the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Both those defenses are good.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Obviously, it's not get any points this week during the bye,
but has the luster come off of Dallas's offense?
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Uh, you know, only I would say a little bit.
I do feel like they've faced two pretty good defenses.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Cardinals are an underrated.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
Defense, and this is still because of the fact that
their defense is historically bad. Dallas is on pace to
be the worst yardage defense in the history of the NFL,
worst points defense in the history of the NFL. So
they're offer cost at attack mode all the time and
that has led to some big fantasy outings. Dak Prescott
has been a top ten fantasy quarterback when when George
(28:12):
when George Pickens was rolling without CD Lamb, he was
a top ten fantasy wide receiver. CEEDE Lamb comes back,
Pickings spend in the back seat since then, but nevertheless,
they've got plenty of star power.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Dallas remains a.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Really very bankable and very bankable a group of fantasy
fantasy providers street team, and I don't think that's really
going to change here, Ben, So.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
What are you gonna think is going to happen?
Speaker 3 (28:35):
This week when Jacksonville faces off against Houston, especially with CJ.
Stroud being in concussion protocol, Is that a game that
Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
We could just score?
Speaker 3 (28:47):
He say, well, they're just gonna not steam roll the
Houston Texans, but they have an opportunity to make sure that,
hey we keep you know, Dave, not Davis Mills, but
their quarterback pretty much sideline with turnovers. Is there a
strong possibility that Jacksonville can actually do that to Houston.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Let's say it a lot, right, I mean, you know,
you've got to be a really bad offense to get
steamrolled by Jacksonville's defense, but that could happen here. Jacksonville's
actually had a pretty good run defense this year. The
pass defense has been pretty bad, but the Houston offensive
line is so terrible. It's just awful. And I think
we touched on this a couple of weeks ago in passing.
(29:25):
I mean, here you are in Houston. If you back
up three years, they've got the rookie of the year
in CJ. Stroud. You've finally got the franchise quarterback this
team has literally never had, and they've done nothing with
this offensive line to improve it and put their quarterback
in a position to succeed. They've got put together a
great defense in Houston. It's a top five defense overall.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
You guys know you just saw this.
Speaker 5 (29:47):
You played, you know, you played to a practical stalemate
last week with Houston. But that offense is so bad
right now, and Davis Mills doesn't help. I just don't
think that you can trust any part of that, you know,
for the Jacksonville offense. I want to mention this for
anybody that's languishing with Travis etn He has had nine
carries from inside the five and he's turned it into
(30:10):
zero touchdowns, which is incredibly hard to do. And that's
a lot of the frustration that we've got with Travis
etm is he's not finishing. Drive is give me a
touchdowns or fantasy bloball players we love touchdowns, and that's
the one guy that seems to be allergic to him.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Well, you know what, if you want to make him
go even worse, just had to put him on my
fantasy roster.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I promise you we can go seventeen games not gett
him in the end.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
So Paul Chargi Paul charging on Twitter, Paul, it always
goes too fast.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Look forward to seeing you next week.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
We've had a ton of fun, absolutely to take care
watch off of the vanilla flavoring.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
A lot of stuff going on. Yeah, the beaver thing
threw me off, man, just really threw me off. I
had to go.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I went to we got a little snap set up
over there in the sales office over there, Joel's bodega.
I went over there and got some of these, uh
the stroop offfles or whatever.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Let me guess they have vanilla.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
Because this one is a vanilla flavored cookie here. So
I went and checked the ingredients just to make sure.
You know, when I eat these things, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Actually, so you wanted some some beer, some beaver, and
I'm bear beaver.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah, pheromones, yeah no, But this actually uses synthetic vanilla extract.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
So this is it uses vanilla like the article told
us other. So I'm safe. I have not secretly been
eating beaver excretions.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Interesting, now, I noticed when you first brought that up,
young Seegers had this look on his face.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Behind the glass like everything that he's known is entire world.
This was just in that one moment, like he just.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Had some vanilla flavored ice cream before he walked in.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Yeah, I mean it hasn't been that long, probably a
night or two.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
I'm definitely concerned about how I leveled, now, aren't you.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Yeah, one of the first things when I get home tonight,
I'm getting in that freewhere vanilla you're checking the label
right now.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Yeah, here's here's a bigger question.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
How much Well, No, the fact that he's already eating
it already, that's besides the point when he goes back
home knowing as though, like you don't want to waste money,
Like I'm sure you're.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Going I'll burn some money if it means I'm not
eating beaver excretions.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
That's worth five bucks to me or what.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Wells Crew costs three dollars. If you told me, Hey, Zach,
I'll pay you three dollars to not eat beaver excretions,
or Zach, you gotta pay me three dollars to not
eat beaver excretions. Feel I'll pay you fork over the
three dollars right now, No problem. Also, I gotta say
I'm less concerned about how much you've eaten without knowing,
and how much you've eaten with knowing that seems more.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
That's where a rubber meets the room. Well, that's the
first thing I gotta go check. Now, I gotta check everything.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Wait, wait, you started checking the wrapper and the ingredients
after you.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Opened the contact you did.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
I was just double checking, like, wait, okay, I read
this thing all the way through, but now I need
to reread it.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
And I gloss over. Why did I get a hit
of pine on? This? Is this the terms of service.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Moment where I just kind of glazed over it, didn't
actually read it.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Glazed DJ glazed We come back.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Dejan Sanders demoted Punch Shermer offensive coordinator ll More.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Let's see U. We'll get it that we come back.
Broncos Country to Night
