Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's go out to the KA comes for hotline and
bring on our guy, Parker Gabriel at Parker J. Gabriel
on Twitter overs the Broncos for the Denver Post. Parker,
hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I did, how about you?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
I was pretty good, and you know, reuped on my
heart medication just in time for this Sunday Broncos victory
slash give me a heart attack fest, whatever the case
may be. But here we are ten and two and
overtime victory. Another big play by the defense, and that
thing that we kept saying, or at least I kept
saying isn't sustainable, suddenly seems very sustainable.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, it's kind of funny. I was just thinking about
this today that you know, you keep hearing and frankly,
keep thinking, keep writing, keep saying on the radio whatever. Well,
I mean, great that they won, but you know, you
can't keep winning like this. It's gonna be really tough
to keep winning like this and then like all along,
they just keep winning like this. So yeah, I still,
(00:55):
obviously you would like to have a couple of games
down the stretch here where you have some breathing room,
you just play really clean and all of that, but certainly,
I mean in this instance, like certainly Washington did not
look or play like a three and eight team.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
And then also you saw that the pedigree that the
Broncos have sort of built this season on shine through
again when the chips are down.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, that you did, and and Washington didn't they. You know,
I gotta keep saying, you gotta take you cap to them.
They gave the Broncos everything they wanted in that football game.
Dan Quinn taking over the defense a couple of weeks ago.
That team in Washington has much improved from what they
were the first part of the season. And you know,
my hats off to them for the for the fight
they put in in a game that really didn't matter
to them. They're, you know, three and eight, It didn't
matter to them. But the hats off to them for
(01:41):
putting up a great fight on on Sunday night. Hats
off to the Broncos for pulling it out there were
There are still a couple of things that this team's
got to figure out, and namely the run game at
this point with three running backs that appear to be undersized,
at least from the wait perspective, you know, a two
at two o five, another one at a buck seventy.
They averaged two point seven a carry I think for RJ.
(02:02):
Harvey in that game. And you know, so the Broncos
solution to that is to go out and add Elijah
Moore to the practice squad.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, exactly, just the kind of between the tackles runner
you want, right, No, I know, and I think that's
I mean, you know that. I mean, that's that's that's
really about just what's available at running back. I saw
Kenyam now I can't remember who it was. Somebody added
Royce Freeman today today Ye Chargers. Yeah, obviously, like you know,
(02:31):
they were in on the kid from Houston, but he
ended up deciding to go to Kansas City. So like
that that all. There's just you can't wave your hand
and magically have you know, a good powerful running back
uppear in Week fourteen. Necessarily, but I totally agree with you.
I thought I thought two things were sort of true
(02:52):
at the same time that R. J. Harvey did quite
a few good things on Sunday, And I thought that
he had a huge hole to run through on the
second touchdown on the five yard or on the left
side but when he gets going downhill, he can do
it between the tackles. It just I thought, again, there's
(03:12):
a couple of times where he's a rookie and he's
gonna learn and all of that, But there's a couple
of times where there's stuff that I think JK. Dobbins
either sees or is patient enough to allow to develop,
to get to between the tackles that R. J. Harvey
doesn't quite have the experience to get to yet. And
so that's one of those things like all you can
(03:33):
do is keep giving him the rock and keep getting
them reps and and see how much progress he can
make down the stretch in that regard. But I totally
agree with you. I mean, you know, Sean paytonson after
the game, it was it was, oh they got that.
You know, Washington played him a little different. They they
played the heavy box even against some you know, some
some passing looks and whatever. They didn't. They just played
(03:54):
it differently than Bronk was expected. But you know, a
obviously you adjust do that as the game goes on,
and be it two weeks in a row, so maybe
they'll get on track. But the longer you start to
go and it's one thing, it's another thing. It's not
the running backs. You know, if that keeps happening, at
some point, it's gonna look like it's the.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Running backs to Parker Gabriel had Parker J. Gabriel on
the on Twitter. Yeah, it's I mean, and it's sort
of the thing. You know, end of the day, they're
doing it enough right now that that's not mattered. But
there's going to be a point where that is going
to matter. Uh, and it's going to be the thing.
I think you're right on. You know, Jk's just more patient.
He just lets see. You know, it's it's a veteran thing.
You start letting the blocks set up and then you
(04:31):
you run behind it. And uh, that's the difference between
you know, a lot of veterans and rookies. Rookies get
to the league. You've been able to boat race guys
to the edge and the college game, and you know
you're not able to do that because everybody in the
NFL is fast and and and so that's that's kind
of the thing. I you know, you there's there's moments
where Harvey you look at him like, all right, this
guy has potential down the line. To be really explosive player.
He's just got to be a little bit more patient
(04:53):
when doing that. But you're absolutely right that touchdown and
you could have driven an ocean liner through the through
the blocking on that on that touchdown, right, Like I
might have gotten in the end zone on on that play.
And we were being charitable at my you know, eight
second forty at this point, I think in my life.
But you know it is gonna be right, yeah, right,
right right, that's it. But that's gonna be one of
those things that, like, I mean, as we sit here,
(05:13):
I don't want to nitpick, because this is this is
starting to get to the point where that's what it
feels like like I'm nitpicking. But there's there's there's two
things that just keeps sticking to my craw and one
of them is that run game. And then the other
is every week we've got to, uh, we gotta ethan
hunt you know, attempts some insane acrobatic maneuver on second
and short instead of just just just run the ball
(05:33):
the one yard man, just just just just run one yard.
I don't need the razzle dazzle, I don't need the
double reverse flee flicker back to bow Nicks slash pass
to Garrett Bowles R. J. Harvey thrown across the field
of bo Nicks, Like, we get it, You're smart. Can
can we just get the one yard?
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yeah? It's funny. I think, you know, the everybody in
the league, in the Broncos included to talk a lot about,
you know, the self scouting element of the week to
week and the tendencies we week and the sort of
middle of the field short yardage, advantageous position. Trick play
is just at this point like teams are almost like, okay,
here it comes, or at least that's what it seems like.
(06:13):
So I mean, you know that that Yeah, I think
you can show one of those. And frankly, if you
go a good long stretch of that one, now you know,
maybe you get the you know, maybe you get the
big play in the postseason or or at some time
when you really need it. But I think the I think,
like you want to, the beauty of a great trick
play is that you know, when you pull it off,
(06:35):
sort of like the moment before you need it, right
like you of course, everyone's gonna expect a fake punt
if you line up to punt it when you're down,
you know, four or four minutes left in the game,
and so you want you want to do it a
time different than that. But they've just I don't know
if they've had one work yet this year, and so
maybe you know, maybe that that in Sean Parlances is
(06:57):
the wrong section of the play sheet for the time being.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Tim Parker gave really the difverer post. Yeah, that's It's
just it's weird to me. I'm like, it's one of
those things where I'm like, man, I get it, Like
in second short is the down where you do stuff
like that, Like, I get it, right, But just can
we just do a regular play action deep shot at
that point see if we can see if we get
that done before we start doing you know, Philly special
and you know, and and offensive tackle slant plays and
(07:21):
whatever else, Like, can we can we just can we
just get the basics down before we're doing that? Can
we both lead before we're doing that? Then I get
it nitpicking again, right though, because at the end of
the day, you're winning football games. You're ten and two
before you hit December unless you were on the East Coast,
and so I just I feel like, because on the
one hand, I'm sitting here kind of basking in this,
and I don't want I don't want anybody to be
(07:42):
a thief of joy. I don't want to be a
thief of joy. But on the other you know, I
got a job. I gotta do discourse every night and
all that kind of stuff, and I'm like, man, I
sort of feel like we're nitpicking at this point. Is
there anything else here to sit here and pick apart?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, it's funny. It's funny because I thought, you know,
and obviously, like I've been, I'm very harshit at the
job that I have. Like I've I've watched every game
they've played this season in person, and there have been
there have been times certainly you think about like the
Vegas game, you think about, you know, the Giants game
(08:14):
and the Jets game in London. You have these moments
where are like, you know, what are they doing? Like
what you know if you play it the food enough times,
like you know something bad's going to happen eventually, And honestly,
like Sunday Night was one of the first times where
obviously the team of the bad record, it didn't look
like a bad team as they were playing it was
an entertaining game, but it was one of those things
(08:35):
where it's sort of gotten to this point where it's like,
just win and like, yes, during the week, obviously they
have things to figure out. There's things to talk about
that I think are fair to talk about. That they're
not perfect, They're far from it in a lot of areas,
but at the end of the day, like I think,
I think most fans have come to the point in
the season where it's about, you know, appreciating the run
(08:57):
there on and appreciating the ability to find ways to win.
You can be clear eyed about the stuff that you
know that could cost them in the playoffs. And at
the same time, it's like if a fan were asking
me what I what what they should think, it would
sort of be like, I mean, just sort of revel
in the fact that you're in the third month here
(09:17):
since the last time you lost the game. I mean,
that's it just doesn't really happen very often in the NFL,
And so yeah, sure, I mean, perfectly fair to talk
about all the stuff that they're going to pick at.
And also I think it's come to the point where
when you watch them week to week, you sort of
figure they're going to find a way to win, uh,
And there's an entertainment value in watching them try to
(09:39):
find a way to the finish.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Line is And I've compted a little bit to the
you know, the T Bow run. I don't want to
compare Boe to t bo in that regard, but compared
it a little bit to that, and sort of it's
its magic, it's team of Destiny, whatever you want to
call it. But there was a special there was a
special feeling about that moment. And I know that from
the outside looking in. I wasn't in Denver at the time,
but I know that from the outside looking in, it's
it's sort of different being in the eye of the
(10:01):
hurricane this time it is.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah, And I mean I think there's some similarity to
the twenty fifteen team too, just in terms of the
caliber of the defense and sort of like you know,
at times the offense would get it going and obviously,
like you know, you felt that, and I don't want
to compare Bone Nix and Peyton Manning, you felt in
some of those instances like hey, you know, there might
not be a lot on some of these days offensively,
(10:26):
but you're going to find something you're going to find
enough when you need it, obviously in very different ways,
but like it has a little bit of that quality
of like the defense has legitimately kept them in every
single game this season. They haven't always played great. Obviously,
they gave up two long drives.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Against Washington, you know, the two.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Losses they've had Obviously the beginning the first three quarters
of the Giants game, like haven't been infallible, but they've
been obviously really really good. They're going to keep you
sort of right there, and then it becomes a question
of like can you do enough. And you saw that
sort of on Sunday, Like for long stretches. It wasn't
pretty offensively. They had some grinding drives that ended in
(11:06):
field goals early in the game.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
And then you know, boom, boom, boom.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
You know, forty one yard completion to Evan Ingram and
you get in the end zone to start overtime and
you think, yep, well that's not really that big a surprise.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Actually, yeah, there was nothing more. Like we're sitting there
in the middle of the fourth quarter of Nick and
I had to do it appearance at the burn down
bar and it you know, it's a lot of fall.
But I'm sitting there with Nick and I'm like, I
know how this plays out. I know exactly how this
plays out. We're going to overtime, we're gonna get the ball,
we're gonna score first, and then we're gonna they're gonna
come down to score. It'll come down to a two
point conversion and we'll pull something out of our backside.
And then Nick was like, all right, you need to
(11:38):
play the lottery after that. But I'm like, but I
just I know how this dance card goes.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Man.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
We've been sitting here all season. It's just there was
never a moment where I doubted that this team was
gonna win. I just knew it was going to be
an improbable circumstance.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, for sure, I think you end up, you end up.
They've played so many similar games that I think if
there's one thing about it.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
That can serve them really well in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
I mean, we talk about, and I think rightfully so,
about some of the things that could hurt them in
the playoffs, But one of the things that clearly they've
positioned themselves to benefit from in the postseason is just
the fact that they've played in so many close games
and they've been in this situation, then they don't. They
clearly are not a group that's bothered by pressure. Obviously,
pressure feels a little bit different in a wildcard or
(12:23):
divisional or of course a conference championship game or the
super Bowl. But they've sort of been there and done
that as it pertains to winning close games, being in
pressure situations, understanding at this point, like the old cliche,
what it takes to win, and so you know that
the defense and that are sort of their superpowers, and
(12:44):
those are the things that they're even if they start
to get in rhythm or if they get in a
good run or whatever like, those are the things at
the end of the day ultimately that are going to
determine where the ceiling is for this group.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Park and Gabriels, did you ever post and Park and
j Gabriel on Twitter? Park, Before you get it out of here,
we'll talk about the switch gears talk at Lane Kiffin
situation Downner in college football. Don't know where you stand
on this one. I to me, it was weird that
he sort of felt entitled to come back and coach
Old Miss after bouncing for a division rival in you know,
in LSU, he claims that the players you know, wanted
(13:19):
him to coach. Now, players are all pouring out today
on Twitter and claiming that's absolute malarkey, that nobody in
the room said that they wanted him to come back
and coach that game. Where do you come down on
on Lane, you know, Lane Kiffin leaving Old miss for
a division rival. Where do you come on his whole
assertion that he should have been allowed to coach it
out to the national championship if they were to get there.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah, I mean, there's just no universe.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
In which you can let him coach the team right
for a month. And it's interesting because I actually I've
covered two sort of like dramatic coaching departures. They played
out very differently, and funny enough, about as close as
it's really come. I know, the James Madison coach is
talking about he's going to coach the conference championship game
and then if they get in the playoffs, and then
(14:03):
he's going to UCLA. I covered Scott Frost when he
got hired at Nebraska, and he spent a month doing
both Nebraska and Central Florida before that undefeated UCF team
with Mackenzie Milton played in the Peach Bowl against Auburn.
But those are different leagues. There are different levels. This
group of five and the Power Conference. You know, Nebraska
(14:24):
wasn't still playing the team he was going to, you know,
was done playing obviously in all this and so like
it's still a very different situation. And then I covered
Wisconsin when Brett Bielima left in the middle of the
Knife for Arkansas, Yeah, and they turned to Barry Elvarez.
They were like, we don't, why would we want Brett
Bulama here. He's gone, he left us, so they you know,
I just I don't. I don't think there's any realm
(14:48):
in which he has like any kind of right. I mean,
he has a right to take thirteen million dollars a
year at LSU, and he has a right to think
he can win a national championship there, and that's fine.
Like obviously not a great set up the way it
is right now with when coaches have to make these decisions,
but that's that's the universe they operate in right now,
(15:09):
and that's the universe that you have to make decisions
in right now. It's not like it's not like, oh
I wish it was some other way. Well that's fine
if you wish it's another way, but it's not. So
I made a decision. It's a fine decision. Uh. And
you don't get to just like keep coaching the team
that you're spurting.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Yeah, Link Kiffin has the dubious distinction of being having
his motorcade chased out of town and in Tennessee getting
left on the tarmac with USC and his clothes getting
thrown out of his office. Now at old miss So
certainly has hit the college football scandal trifecta. I guess
as far as hilarity goes, Parker, it's always always a
great time.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
It always goes too fast, brother yeps anytime.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Absolutely take care Parker Gabriel from the Denver Post Rockus
Country and I'd be back after this. Somebody's asking if
there's better running backs out there. There's really not. That's
the thing. Like, I mean, you're at the point where
you're dialing up Latavious Murray seeing if he's got four
or five games in him. You know, you're you're trying
to get a practice squad guy off the Texans who
(16:06):
are already hurting for running backs. It's there's just not.
There's just not anything out there. They may bring a
body in, but it's again, you're bringing a body in,
You're not You're not trying to sign a free agent.
You're trying to get somebody on the practice squad. And
so we'll see, we'll see how that works out. Let's
get to our NFL WEE thirteen recap, and we'll start
(16:26):
with Thanksgiving Day, which, by the way, if you listen
to the Pick Them somebody, I'm not gonna mention any
particular Benjamin all Brights swept the Pick Them for Thanksgiving
in the day after. Let's start with the Packers at
the Lions.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Snap to you Love, he want us back in the pocket,
steps up, launches deep down the right sideline.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
It is right there.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Watson reels it in and races into the end zone
for a green Bay touchdown, an absolute rainbow and a
bullseye from touring.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Along the rainbow and a bulls eye with the call
Jason Bennetti with Westwood One and are you starting to
become a believer in love?
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Then?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I don't know about a believer in love, but I
think the Packers are finally putting together their jackal at
Hide act after several weeks of you know, winning games
that you wondered about and losing games they shouldn't have.
It's gonna be an interesting matchup when they play the
Denver Broncos here in just a few weeks. I don't
know that I believe in Jordan Love necessarily, but like
I said, they they at least finally gotten their act together.
(17:26):
On offense, Kansas City took on the Dallas Cowboys John Guns.
Would you believe it?
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Dallas shut gun snap for Prescott, steps up in the pocket,
throws deep down the right.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Side back like.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
A touchdown.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Cowboys CD lamb J P.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Shadwick with Westwood one on the call, and I tried
to cut you off before you.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Could throw that in there, because you did call it.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
I said, the Chiefs are gonna win, but the Cowboys
coming through in the clutch.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
I told you guys to watch out for Dallas this year, man,
and they finally got the right bodies and health on
defense where they're playing a different brand of football. They
when the Broncos played him, I would not be surprised
to see them sneak their way into the playoffs. The
Bengals at the Ravens.
Speaker 6 (18:08):
Shotguns snap pack side pressure. Pearl steps up. He throws
over top Yosi Bosh who had been grabbing. He tumbles
end zone, touchdown twenty eight yards. Thread of the needle
to Yosi Vash, who showed the short burn just over
the ground and in between Rokwan Smith and Malachi starts.
He slides on two knees for six.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
John Sadock with Westwood one on the call and Joe
Burra's back, and the Bengals are going to the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Hoday, I believe Grants. I believed. I believed. Bears taking
on the Eagles on.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Friday, second down at eight, Williams roll it left side,
throw deep down field.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Covet is there, touchdown.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
The whole Covet got behind reed planking ship for a
twenty eight yard touchdown.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Scott Graham with Westwood one on the call, and man,
the Bears look legit like the AFC North is theirs
to lose at this.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Disappointed kanda Is They're sitting in the driver's seat, the
Chicago Bears, the darlings of the NFL. All of a
sudden that Johnson probably gonna wind up getting Coach of
the Year. What a difference a season makes in Chicago
is said they made. They did a big time investing
the offensive line. Caleb Williams looks to finally be coming
into his own. That team is there. They're firing on
all cylinders.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
And Ben Johnson took his shirt off and free hot
dogs for everybody in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
That's right, everybody lined up at the Wier circle for
free free hot dogs. They're in in Chicago. Chicago never
disappoints on them. The team that did disappoint a lot,
the Los Angeles Rams. What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (19:44):
It's fourth to two from the LA forty three. Brice
off play action past time of the pocket.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Throws down field for McMillan. It's the touch of the twenty.
He's got the ton. The bag toutsdown, tay Back toutsdown.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
Carolina A Niche shopp WRFX on the call. What a
huge win for the Panthers. But you're right, disappointing for
the Rams. I was thinking they were the top team
in the NFL. Are they still or is this a
setback with the Panthers kind of exposed and things about this.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
The Panthers are such a jackal at high team. You
go around losing in New Orleans and then you start.
You beat Green Bay, you beat the even green Bay,
you beat the Rams. Like, I don't know what to
make of this team. I love the Dave Canalis is
getting wins when when they probably shouldn't. But yeah, it
kind of shakes you a litting on the Rams. The
Rams defense is giving up thirty one. You know with
Chris Shuley, you buying a hype a little too much.
Speaker 8 (20:33):
You do it.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
You're doing the interview circuit a little too much because
that was not supposed to happen. Yeah, in that one,
the forty nine Ers ruining hide or Sanders sophomore effort.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
This is third down and goal from the eight yard
line at niners.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Of eight of thirteen on third down shot at chat Purty.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
Look flap bros.
Speaker 8 (20:52):
Lat had a head high catch made at the v
in Cleveland by to Want Jennings.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
We're up forty nine Ers touchdown.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
Jack Smith with knb R on the call. Forty nine
Ers no surprise win that game. Schador didn't look greatest
a little uh spat with Jerry Judy on the sidelines.
And did you hear Shelby Harris's comments postgame about Juan
Joe I did.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
He's a hope.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
I want that known.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
He's a hope.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
I want that known.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
I love that. That was yeah. And Jeworge Jennings for
his part, not the first time he spent like he's
kind of known for this round of the league. But
Maleak Collins was down with an injury. He had to
be carted off the field and Juwan Jennings towering over
him talking smack about his wife and kids as he's
lying there writhing in agony having to be carted off,
and when confronted by Shelby and other members of the
Browns defense, went and ran and hid behind his offensive line.
(21:43):
And that's why Shelby Harris was so animated on that one.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
Texans, He's Colts first to.
Speaker 7 (21:52):
Goal at the seventh strad of the gun, Marks to
his left.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
Plus formation left.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Cej takes the stet and they handed tech Nico on
the end around, running left Nico to the coal line.
He's got it. Nico takes it in for six.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Mark vandermir with k I l T on the call,
Texans surging, Jags winning. Are the Colts in trouble in
the AFC SID?
Speaker 1 (22:14):
I think they are And I've got money on Houston. Houston.
I'm telling you they're sneaking up in that division. Be careful.
You got an injured quarterback there in India. Jags team
you know has hit or miss. Houston's putting it together
at the right time. Houston's getting hot. I would that
is one team I would. I'm thankful there's behind us
on the schedule and not the and not ahead. Saints
at the Dolphins, and what a day for our guy
(22:36):
de von Valet, even though we're going with a Devon
ah Hane highlight.
Speaker 7 (22:40):
Here h the running back first to Miami from the
Saints thirty yard lit.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Hm'm sweet to the right side on the court and
he's do touch down Miami.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Jimmy Sofalo with WBGG on the call, And if the
Saints would have won, I would have gave you a.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Like ninety yards receiving on eight catches. He recovered it
on side kick. That dude is for his only first
and only day where he was a starting receiver for
the New Orleans Saints in that game. They got to
roll him out there more. I keep telling I've been
preaching the good word about the von la They think
they know now, I mean why they got to lose
at this point. That's what I'm saying. At this point,
you might as well Falcons at the Jets, and who
(23:23):
gives a crap about this game?
Speaker 2 (23:25):
There's the snap, the kick is on the way, it's
a line.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Trot towards the uprights, and ass hick Fulk puts it through,
no time on the clock.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
Top fifty six yard game winning field call and the
Jets off the folk hero.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Well Bob was using. Gives a crap about that game?
It's call it.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
Wax Q And I think he might have been the
only one, because You're right, Falcons at Jets, what a
dud oh.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Just an absolute garbage fest. Third win of the season
for the jetso who appeared to be sort of hitting
in the right direction. Big day out ad Ni Mitch
for them. Over one hundred yards receiving in that game.
Arizona Cardinals at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Crystol formation. Now
hand them all off running too. They left this Bucky
yearby gets out of chat five picture lot touchdowns Tampa
(24:14):
Bay Fucky irviy first touchdown of the season.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Gene Decker off with w f Us on the call.
Good for the Bucks with Bucky irving back. They gonna
get healthy at the right time. Obviously, no Mike Evans,
but I feel like the Bucks still have a playoff
serge ahead of him.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Evans is saying he's gonna be back at practice here
soon by no way. Uh huh uh huh wow, what
an animal. I'm just saying, they're all getting hyped there
in Tampa. Good for them. Jam Kobe Risset for Arizona,
another forty passing good Town, three hundred yard day, a
couple of touchdowns, did do an interception Bam Night sixty
two on the ground Trey McBride, he catches eighty two
yards of losing it for Arizona. That coaching staff is
(24:49):
gonna be back next year. But but man, they got
to figure out a way to get this together. Start
getting some w's.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
But Kyler Murray, we've seen the end of him in Arizona.
I'm pretty sure we've seen the end of him in Arizona.
We'll see, We'll see how that situation shakes out. They're
gonna have to eat some of the contract on that.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
And it's a mess, uh looking at that one. Jags
hit the Titans. This will blowout third in.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
Goal Jags from a four yard line of Tennessee, got
a bunch to the left, Trevor dropped fires middle of
the field.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
Up ball is going to be caught for the touchdowns
to common Myers.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
Frank Franji with WJXL on the call, and how happy
is da Kobe Myers to go from the Raiders to
the Jags. It seems like the Jags just, you know,
like you said earlier, they don't look pretty some games,
but they're what seven.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
And five now managed to keep finding ways to win.
We'll see the Vikings at the Seahawks, and this was
just a comically bad performance from the Vikings who rolled out.
Max Brosmer and fans online were trying to say that
the Vikings had a secret weapon here. I'm like, guys, guys, guys, guys.
We saw Carson Wentz and j J McCarthy play all year.
The Vikings weren't secretly keeping a badass quarterback ready to
(25:54):
go and off to Charboney on the left side. Two
tight end for lineup, every bricks and tackle, ten touchdown, three.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
Hawks Steve Rabel with k I ro on the call,
and the Seahawks, man, they are rolling. There's three teams
in the NFC West that have nine wins, I think
all three are gonna get into the playoff.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
And that's the other part. Like Arizonaly has like three
wins or four wins or whatever. They're a decent football
team too, Like you don't want to play them. Look
at Tampa. They went to Tampa in an early game
and almost beat Tampa.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Yeah, that NFC West, man, that is probably I mean,
people in Broncos country are gonna like to hear this,
but I think that's the best division in football Office Division.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Football right now. I'll say that for sure. They don't
have a Raiders in that division, even if the Cardinals
record doesn't match your play. Speaking of the Raiders, they
got blown up by the Chargers. Man, there's the pitch
to Baydell. He's got to get to the corner.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
He does there, he goes in a plus territory by
hell on his horse thirty twenty ten Peabody body Touchdow Chargers.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Matt mney Smith with KFI on the call, and even
with all the Chargers injuries, are we getting married about them?
I mean, I think, do you know you never count
him out? With Justin Herbert, you got Harball as the
head coach. I mean, we got to keep winning just
to stay ahead of them.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Herbert's hurt. He has surgery this week on his hands. Yeah,
he's hurt. I don't know if he's gonna play this weekend.
He'll be back in a couple of weeks, but he's he's
stinged up. He's had surgery of an injury just to
his hands. So that's gonna be interesting. Might be Trey
Lance for them this weekend, Boll, that would be good
news in Broncos. I'm try you think, But then night,
Harball has a history of making quarterbacks that aren't all
that great look really good. Who do they play this weekend?
(27:30):
I had to go back and look. I will say that.
I mean, Harbor almost won a super Bowl with Colin Kaepernick. True.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
True.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
I'm just saying, like I'm not trying to be I'm
just saying, uh, Bill's that's Steelers third and goal from
the eight. Here's the snap.
Speaker 7 (27:43):
Alan gonna keep it, gonna look to puss it outside.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Lowers the shoulder, the serge pushing him forward progress. He's
in for the touchdowns. The Beast has been released.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
The Beast is released with Chris Brown from w g
R on the call, And I think the highlight of
this game, even me as an Aaron Rodgers fan, the
memes that came out with him and his bloody nose,
I mean, they were just affict.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, I mean, you know, I mean, the Steelers got
blown out, but we did see Aaron Rodgers looking like
a quarterback who just played in Buffalo on a cold
night with the bashed up nose and everything. What do
you think of all the.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
Loud noise again for Steelers fans about wanting to fire
Mike Tomlin. I mean, wouldn't everybody want to, like all
the coaching vacancies in the league if he gets fired
by the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
So you're gonna be like, Okay, we'll take Mike Tomlin. Yeah,
it's one of those Mike Thomas not gonna get fired.
He will have the option of resigning whenever he wants.
He's not gonna He's just the Steelers, That's how they
do business. Whenever he gets tired of coaching, he's going
to be done. And that'll be That'll be that. Oh,
le's see what we gotta here. Giants at Patriots Monday
Night Football and this one wasn't close. It's a high
boomy kick.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Jones assesses backpedals to the seven on the near side.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
He gets it to the ten out.
Speaker 8 (28:54):
Of the fifteen, sprints to the twenty and all the
numbers to the thirty's of forty and jog.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Slows them down first. He breaks it on the sidelights
the twenty thirty said all the way.
Speaker 6 (29:04):
Touchdown, Marcus Jones.
Speaker 8 (29:06):
Somehow he's stayed in bounds ninety three yards.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Tom McCarthy with west Wood one on that call, and
it seems like everything's firing on all cylinders in New England.
I mean, Mike Raebel's got the stash for November. Things
are looking good for them. I am worried about them
holding on to that number one seed. I'm not worried
about anything going right for the Giants. This is one
other call from the game, the infamous now kick.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I guess, oh, the Young Way Coop kick.
Speaker 8 (29:35):
Here's the yeah Young Way who from the New Year
Hashmark I snap handled well and he.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Just missed it helland picks it up.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
He looks to.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Probably stumpered at.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
The forty three, Young Lie. I do not think that
was the design. Think Young Way Coo steps in his
foot just hits the ground as he's going to kick.
Isn't this a national football? It was no nothing good
for the Giants. Amateur hour stuff there from young Wayku
(30:06):
who got run out of his last stop as well
and run a few of them.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
And we mentioned it earlier with Steve Attwater that hit
Jackson Dart took on the sideline from Joan Allison's brother.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Yeah, God, he's got to learn how to get down. Yeah,
it's it's like it's like I was saying, man him,
it's scautabow. It's fun football, but good lord, just guys
have got to start making some business decision. They're gonna
be out the league in a couple of years. Cactible
has already hurt. Dart's already been con cost a couple
of times this year. It's it's it's ridiculous there. Broncos
took on the Commanders on Sunday Night Football and you
couldn't have asked for a better game with a better
(30:36):
result if you're a Denver Broncos fan. Two point conversion
Denver with.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
The blitz on the way backa flecting bito. He new
Broncos wouldn't great play by Nick Benito.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
He came untouched off the face.
Speaker 7 (30:51):
Side of Marcus Mariota who was back pedaling trying to
buy some time. He went high in the air, deflected
the ball, and the Broncos in overtime have beaten the
Commanders twenty seven to twenty six.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Of course us on that call, Broncos Radio Network KOA
and Dave Logan. I was watching that game on my
flight home from South Carolina and just like you could
see fifteen people on the flight just raise their arms
up at the same time when that pass got.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Deflected by Benito. Yeah, it was. It was one of
those things. I mean, we are doing the appearance that's
burned down. A game goes into overtime, just you could
ask for a better football game, the better result there
if you're a Broncos fan. And what a game, what
a result, And this team continues to roll on ten
wins before the month of December, well unless you live
on the East Coast and you're hearing them, in which
(31:39):
case this game finished after midnight. But what what a
what a game, what a week? And Bronco's gearing up
for the end of the victory over the Raiders here.
This coming weekend, we come back Land. Sanderson's going to
join us to listen Broncos Country, and I don't care
where
