Speaker 1 (00:00):
Chris Smith still an infre benchmin All right, we'll update
you on why I was giggling coming back into the
show here in a couple of minutes alongside my guy
Nick Ferguson and Zach Seekers back behind the glass. But
right now we're going to head out to the KAA
Common Spirit.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Health hotline and bring on one.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Of our favorites here on the Let's Talk Broncos and
Believe in the Broncos podcast, Bree Mastis bre How are
you tonight?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Gentleman's so happy to be on with you. I am
curious as to why you were giggling, though, so if
you can work it in while I'm on here, I'd
love to hear the story.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Well, I think we'll have to tease it and you'll
have to keep listening to Broncos Country a night even
after we let you go.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Brie, I want to get your thoughts on the Broncos.
Seems like their biggest win in a long time. You know,
we've had some tough games this year, but they've always
found a way to win. But the talk around the
national media was, you know, they're just keeping it close
one score games against teams that aren't very good.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
But the Packers are a damn good team.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
They were first place in the NFC when they came
to Empower Field at Mile High and walked away with
a loss, a thirty four to twenty six win for
the Broncos eleven game winning streak. Now, what were your
biggest takeaways from the game on Sunday?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Well, I think when you zoom out on this season,
the Packers win feels like a threshold moment. We were
talking about it. I believe it was last week where
you know, was that a convincing win? When was that
a dominating win? I think the Packers game is where
we were actually holding the ruler and trying to find
if this team have the temperament to make it, you know,
on this deep run, continue to streak, and all the

(01:34):
other things that come with being twelve and two. I
think Denver has officially crossed the threshold of a great
story into a serious AFC powerhouse, and I know that
that somehow decides to shift the national narrative right on
an eleven game winning streak. As you just said, I
think today's NFL doesn't necessarily have to be all about talent.
It's about controlling big moments like this being adaptable and

(01:57):
as we're seeing week in and week out, Denver continues
to grow. And I think that's what stood out the
most to me about this team. And I feel like
we were discrediting in a little bit about the potential
next matchup and the Jaguars being even more of a
measuring stick that this Packers team can be so aggressive,
and I think that what matters the most is Denver's

(02:18):
continuing to find ways to win each and every Sunday
or game day in different ways. And I think not
having to dominate every single quarter, but withstanding the pressure
and absorbing any sort of CounterPunch that is thrown their way,
it shows that they're adaptable. I think reasserting control against
the Packers it's flexing what could be could potentially be.

(02:42):
I guess playoff muscles, so to speak. I would hate
to get too far ahead of myself, but with the
Broncos clinching a playoff spot, they're not just playoff bounds, right.
They are in the conversation of AFC Championship, And I
think that changes the preparation, your psychology of the moment,
changes the expectations of the team mis to fluctuate, And
the question isn't about the Denver Broncos being able to

(03:04):
hang with competition. They now are the competition, all right, breeze.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
So there's a familiar face making his return back to
the Manhau City. And of course I'm talking about one
Timmy Patrick. Now, obviously he loves playing here, but I
told Brant before you jumped on one thing that players
love playing against their former team. So I have to ask,
as the lord Broncos fans, what is it that you

(03:32):
expecting for Timmy Patrick to kind of bring back to
the Mauha City.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Oh? I love it because I do sincerely miss Tim
Patrick after all of kind of the injury concerns time
after time. I think Broncos Country has the ability to
hope that he does well, but also not hoping that
he does too well. And I think he's very fond
within Broncos Country's heart. But I think you're bringing back
some juice into the Jats offense. And I would hope

(04:02):
this defense already knows kind of what he's good at
and really stretching the field and winning at the catch point.
But I would hope that you know he's not just
another receiver out there, and I think that the Broncos
can be prepared for that. But when we talk about
you know, billboard material or I'm sorry, chalkboard material, when
you're coming into a game, I think you want to
perform against your former team, your former teammates. I think

(04:25):
there's a little bit more drive and narrative. We often
don't talk enough. I think about the human aspect of
the game of the game of football or any sport
in general. Now that he's healthy and he's obviously you know,
coming back and getting legitimate, you know, chatter online about
whether he could stay on the field long enough, I
think that sustained impact for the jack Wuars is important.

(04:46):
So I'm just hoping that right now there's not some
sense of like taking it overboard and really trying to
show out as we've seen some players in the past too,
obviously Jerry Judy being one of them. So absolutely great question,
and we'll see how it turns out.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Talking with Brie Masis here on Broncos Country Night, host
of Let's Talk Broncos and Believe in the Broncos podcast,
Jaguars had twenty six takeaways this year, and going back
to Tim Patrick, it feels like we have a new
version of that and Pat Brian our third round draft
pick this year, he'll be back taking on the Jags
for the Broncos this weekend. With the Jaguars with twenty

(05:27):
six turnovers for the defense this year. And we had
a textra point out earlier that in that Packers game,
as good as bow Nicks played, that he had three
throws that looked like they could.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Have been easy interceptions.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Where do you stand on having an aggressive bow Knicks?
You know, we're living with some of those mistakes for
some of the successes that it creates through his backyard football.
As Nick puts it, do you want him to continue
that aggressive pace or do you want to see him
trying to be a little more careful, a little more
secure with the football.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Sure, I think we've seen Bonicks really be able to
be composed, poised, confident, and what he's doing really well
right now is taking those risks. Now we've talked about
all season long, especially in some of those earlier games
where he maybe wanted to see more explosiveness. A lot
of that was attributed to either drop passes or maybe

(06:20):
some miscommunication, some underthrown or overthrown passes and now they're
hitting the dart board. So I would really hate for
Bonicks to step away. He's entering this conversation of a
promising young quarterback. When weeks ago there was maybe a
conversation that he wasn't that guy. So four touchdowns for him,
three hundred plus yards. I think a lot of it

(06:41):
was his command of the offense. He wasn't just guessing.
It wasn't the plays that you thought, oh, maybe it's
a little too risky there, and he's trying to play
hero ball. I think the answers were happening, you know,
before the ball was even snapped. I think the differences
between maybe surviving games as we were hoping the defense

(07:01):
would take over and kind of tip the balance, tip
the scales a little bit here. But against Green Bay,
bo was dictating out there, and you see the growth
in how he handles those high pressure moments. He was
absolutely dealing and I think you need that type of response.
You needed this game to show that the throws don't
need to be forced, you can take those risks, you

(07:22):
can trust the spacing, your timing is there, and honestly,
at the end of the day, Bonix is not going
to get away from what he does best, and in
the leadership capacity, I think that's trusting his receiver. So
if the play is designed in a certain way, he's
trusting they're going to be there. So it's not necessarily
workie behavior. I do have some concerns that you know,

(07:43):
the Jaguars defense is stout. They're in the top portion
of the league, but I think that trends normally towards
the side of run defense, and I think Bonix has
the perfect opportunity to continue to lean into what works
alongside Sean Payton. Yeah, you know, Mice showing the event
and I think they have the opportunity to continue the
role that they're on. It's a well oiled machine that

(08:04):
is now cooking into place, and we've been waiting for
it all season.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
One thing we have been waiting for and we would
We got a last week about two weeks ago rather
against the Las Vegas Raiders, and that was RJ.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Harvey getting a going on the ground.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
But he has some ribs, some taute ribs issues. So
if he is unable to go on Sunday against jag
the Jags, which by the way, bury are the number
one team in the NFL against the run. Where do
the Broncos go from here as far as establishing the run.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Game, Yeah, I mean it's been a point of contention
throughout the season that we wanted to see the Broncos
really lean into that run game to the point of
really relying on JK. Dobbins and having him go down
with injury, hopefully r J. Harvey if he can't go
on Sunday. I think the run game becomes about survival

(09:01):
and not dominance. I think Tyler today and Julia McLaughlin
can function, and obviously defenses are going to kind of
know what comes with that, and how Denver is going
to get played against by opposing defenses is going to change.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
A little bit.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
But I think he pushes the offense to have to
rely on the balance, right. You have to use your
extensions of the run game. You have to have your
quick outs, and those become the plays that you're going
to have to use in survival mode as you go
against such a stout run defense, and so that is
particularly my biggest worry. But I also think it opens
up the advantage that maybe you challenge your offense a

(09:40):
little bit more, you lean into those and I know
that seems like a complete conjecture of what we've been
hoping for through the early part of the season, as
a lot of the talk was about no lean into
the run game take the pressure off of Bow's shoulders,
but he was clunking along a little bit. The offense
is trying to figure things out, and Sean Payton was
trying to call things that just weren't working to get

(10:00):
everything melded and molded together. So the goal kind of
shifts from I think when you say establish the run,
I think it's more about staying on schedule, and I
think Denver can win that way. They don't need miraculous
yardage from their run game. Bo can use his legs
a little bit more, and honestly, at the end of
the day, it's going to be a battle. I can't
wait to see how Sunday plays out and how they

(10:22):
find a way to extend this win streak even further.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I can't wait to see it happen either.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Brie, we appreciate your time as always, Thanks for it tonight.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I appreciate you guys too, We'll talk soon.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Bremsis host of Let's Talk Broncos and Believe in the
Broncos podcasts, and she was talking about those explosive plays
from Broncos offense against the Packers. Speaking of explosive the
Nuggets going a thirty five seven run into halftime against
the Magic over six and a half minutes.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Man, they are clicking on all.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Cylinders right now, and also speaking of explosions from the
seven to to oho on the KWA Common Spirit Health
text line, where did Nick go for half an hour
during that seven o'clock hour?

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Well, what had happened was.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
I feel like I gave a little hint with the explosiveness.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, I wouldn't take it as far as to go explosive,
but Nick didn't drink a lot of wine right, which caused.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Some food digestion problems.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
And man, not to go too deep into the weeds.
But I was in that piece like I was in
Lama's class, trying to breathe. And he told the woman
when she's given birth to like do strawberr.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Hey, man, I was doing everything that I could do,
but hey, I'm back.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
I had to text our program director and be like, hey,
can you gotta check out Nick because I'm.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Trying to get worried. Man, Like it's been.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Like twenty minutes.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Like, I know, sometimes you got to run to the restroom,
but I think this may be more of an emergency
that we're giving it credit for.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
It was funny because, uh, the lights are automatic.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
When you walk in, they shut up on it shut up.
So when so Dave came in and I heard his
voice and I was like God, I was like, he
didn't happen already. God, yeah, not like this, man, not

(12:26):
like this? So how do I get over this?

Speaker 4 (12:29):
But yeah, man, it was rough on chairs, hold up
there for a bid last month?

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Yes, but you know what, I'm a trooper. I made
it back. Now. Man, it's all good. Now you out
of your world. You see your perfectly see you see
your man. I wouldn't say how long was he sitting

(12:56):
now there, but longer than I was. Man.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
When the lights turned off, adya in the bathroom with
the automatic lights, you know you got a problem.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
What whole world? Yeah, man, it was rough. It was
rough for a minute.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
That's a PSA. It's all you out there, drink plenty
of water.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Hey, listen, we live in Maaha City and we definitely
have to make sure we take care of our bodies,
make sure we stay overly hydrated.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
If I could say anything oversaturated.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
If undersaturated, Yes, you were certainly undersaturated.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
I was under I was highly under Never happened again to.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Me, No, no, no, real quick.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
We got a minute about a minute before we hit
the break from the seven toh on the Common Spirit
l text line, ask Nick if he built a franchise
right now around bow Knicks or Joe Burrow.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Right now at this point, probably around Joe, because Joe
has shown that he could take a team like the
Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl. Right So, yeah, I
like everything about both quarterbacks, but we're talking about a
difference in a playoff experience, but more importantly super Bowl experience.

(14:12):
And at some point I have fate that bow Knicks
will eventually get there. He's showing a lot of those
signs right right now. And this team is ahead of
schedule yea, which is crazy. And when you think about
your Cincinnati Bengals, when Joe.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
Ferrist got there, he broke his leg, he was out,
and the next thing you know, we look up and the
Super Bowl against the Rams. So the Broncos are right
now on the verge of making that happen.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yeah, And I think if Bo continues to stack up
years like his first two, and he keeps progressing every year,
this conversation would be real interesting in three or four years.
But I think Joe Burrow is still the guy right now.
When we come back. We got an NFL six pack
on Broncos Country tonight.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Okay away Gris Smith filling.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
In for Benjamin Albright as he was on k Sports
earlier today, alongside my guy Nick Ferguson Zack Segers back.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
There behind the glass.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
You know, I came into this day a little under
the weather, not feeling very good, but uh I don't
want to show with you.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Nick always makes me feel better.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Well, Grant, my man, it's always great to do the
show with you. And uh yeah, I think we have
more than our huge room share of left you.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Last segment and seekers with that the whole world drop.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
I got me good.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
It's been a good night. It's Bolo tie Thursday. The
only thing that can make it better is a drink.
Let's get to the NFL six pack.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
It's time for.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
The NFL Sick Pat.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
I'm gonna a lot of insight and insight information you
can't find anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
No the top six NFL headlines.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
One Tonight's matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle
Seahawks has been labeled a matchup between the league's two
best teams. That said, are the Rams and Seahawks actually
the league's two best teams? And if not, who are
the two best teams in football?

Speaker 5 (16:11):
Well, you're looking at those two teams. Are they the
best teams? No?

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Best teams in the NFC? Absolutely? Now, we'll say that
the Rams. If you want to say, well, who are
the best teams in the NFL, I'm going to say
the Rams and the Denver Broncos. Those are the two
best teams. And if I'm not mistaken, wasn't.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
It somewhere earlier this year that someone.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Like the mins ofmas guy for predicted that, yeah, that
the Rams and the Broncos will playing in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
We'll have to see what that color scheme is on
the graphic and see if they're right or not. But
I believe in awesome mental us that dude is always right.
It creeps me out how often he's right, But I'll
agree with him and you. I think the Rams, I
think they're number one in my power rankings. I think
the Broncos are number two. The Rams just seem to
be clicking on all cylinders. Their defense is good, their

(17:01):
offense is good. Matt Stafford playing at an MVP level.
Pooka Nakua for all the dumb stuff he says, he's
bawling out on the field, But the Broncos are right there.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
That win against the Packers.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
I've been a believer all year, but that win against
the Packers really solidified it for me. And apparently Tom
Brady had he had. The Broncos is number one in
his power rankings this week, So I think those are
the two best teams, one AFC, one NFC.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Hopefully it ends in a Super Bowl matchup between the two.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
What do you guys make a summon Broncos Country saying
they're hoping this team loses a game somewhere.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Between here and the end of the season. I may
maybe be glad to see a lot.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Of losing like the Broncos of the Rams.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
The Broncos like, I hope they lose a game.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Pail it out of their system. I actually had this conversation.
I was talking with my buddy on the phone earlier today.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Shout out Kent, but.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
He's like, yeah, I hope they lose a game before
they go into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
I'm like why, He's like.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Oh, I think it'll just reset everything. We even had
Rod Smith talk of him about it a couple of
weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
On Ka Sports agreed to well and.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
He said that he didn't necessarily agree with that, but
he said they had a loss in one of their
Super Bowl runs and I kind of reset their their mentality.
So I can see where that narrative is coming from.
But I don't think this team needs it in every game.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
Yeah, I don't subscribe to the idea is that if
you have.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
A winning streak going on, you extend that winning streak.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
You can missed me with all this losing crap.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Two Jacksonville Jaguars and Jacobe Myers agreed to a three
year deal today worth sixty million dollars. What does this
mean for Travis Hutter's future at wide receiver? And is
Jacksonville's acquisition of Myers the best trade of the year
in the NFL now that Parsons has suffered his ACL injury.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
I would dare to say yes, it is.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Look at the level of production in a short period
of time, so much so that he's got the three years,
sixty million dollars.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
Deal out of it.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
And as far as Travis Hunch his future as a
wide receiver, for me, it doesn't change anything.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
It makes things easy.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
For Liam Cohen and Treubor Lawrence to know that now
when you didn't really have an arson to robe receivers,
now you potentially had three guys. So that's exactly what
you want. So you'd rather have being in the point
where you have more weapons than being in a situation
where you.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Don't have enough.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Jacoby Myers since he's gone to the Jags, has been
a revelation. Like we knew he was good with the Raiders,
but he's turned to another level since he's been there,
And I would say, yes, I agree, he's been the
best trade in the NFL this season. I think Micah
Parsons is still the best long term trade if he
can stay healthy with the Packers. Just we saw how
disruptive he is this past weekend in Denver. But good

(19:41):
for Jacoby Myers man putting in the hard work, still
put enough numbers on a bad team, but he didn't
get his first touchdown catch of the year until he
went to Jacksonville, and I think he's really transformed that offense,
given them a true number one wide receiver. And for
Travis Hunter, I think he's still better as a corner.
I think he's explosive on the offense so side when
he gets the ball, but I think this limits his

(20:03):
every down play.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
On the offensive side of the ball.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
I think he's more of a special packages for him
on offense and a lockdown corner in the NFL and.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
Coming back from an ACL, are you gonna want to
be running him back at both positions?

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Potentially? Yeah, may limits run up the load a little bit.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
Three this year, Mike evans streak of one thousand yard
seasons will come to an end, leaving him tied with
Jerry Rice for the longest such streak in NFL history. Evans,
when asked about this, said, it is just one of
those things that it wasn't meant to be and that's okay.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
I'm cool with that.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
I tied with Jerry Rice, one of the best ever,
if not the greatest player ever, So that is enough
for me.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I just want to help my team get to the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
Now, what do you make of evans response and do
you think Mike Evans belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Yeah, he does.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
He's had a fantastic career and for a guy to
be mentioned in the same breath statistically as Jerry Rice,
you're doing right, you should be. There are a lot
so many guys that played this game and they don't
have as many years playing. But statistically speaking, yeah, there's
not too many guys that you can say that are

(21:18):
in the echelon. So yeah, Mike Evans deservedly belongs in
that category.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
And one thing about it, he earned that. It wasn't given.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yeah, and you can't control injuries.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
And I think this is the most impressive modern day
streak in the NFL to come to an end like
he did it with a lot of quarterbacks that were
not very good. And since Baker's got there, obviously in
Tom Brady before that, he's had a lot of success.
But I had no doubt in my mind he would
have put up another thousand yards this year if you
would have been healthy. Like, it's not because of a

(21:52):
letdown in his play, it's just because he was hurt.
I think it's so good to see him back out there.
I hope the Bucks can turn it around. And get
into the playoffs. It feels like the Panthers can't take
advantage of the opportunities when they're there.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
But hopefully we.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
See him healthy throughout the rest of this year and
maybe get another year or two out of Mike Evans.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I think he's definitely put up a Hall of Fame
resume or.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
Anthony Richardson has returned to Colts practice after being sidelined
for two months after an elastic band injury that broke
part of his face, Yet Philip Rivers is expected to
still start to see weekend. In spite of Richardson's return,
When will we next see Anthony Richardson play in an
NFL game and.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
Who will he be playing for?

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Well, I think he would still be playing for the
Colts because Dame Jones is gonna miss a significant amount
of time with that achilles injury, so abby Richardson on
a roster to try to develop the more wak in
case of emergency, But to dump him right now, I
don't think you get too much out of that.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
And the fact that Rivers is I don't think it's
a slight to Richardson.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
You want a more experienced guy who did a great
job against Seattle in a role have been on the
sofa for five years.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
I mean, you don't just pull them out just for that.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
I mean, right, what do he come back for if
you're not gonna play him? And he's heard enough in
that game.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Against the Seahawks that you're like, Okay, this dude can
still do it at an NFL level.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
And that was only one week's ample size.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Right, He's just gonna get more and more comfortable back
in the game after five years, like you said, coaching
high school football and on the couch. But I think
this is such a great opportunity for Anthony Richardson. I
hope he hasn't matured enough in his time in the
NFL because he has every skill that you want in
an NFL quarterback, and more so, I hope he just
takes the time to just really listen. And even if

(23:42):
if Philip Rivers isn't offering up the advice, which I
think he probably would because he knows that he's lucky
to be back in the NFL after five years, I
hope he just watches and learn. I think he can
learn so much just from watching people that are really
good at their job do what they do. So hopefully
this is a great learning experience for you, Anthony Richardson,
and I think we'll see him back starting in a

(24:03):
Colts uniform at some point. I think, you know, Daniel Jones,
this is the worst possible time to get this injury.
Looking for a big contract. I think someone will pay him.
I don't know if it'll be the Colts. I think
we'll see Anthony and Richardson play again.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
In a Colts uniform.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
I think this is a great situation for him. He
just has to take advantage for a take advantage of it.
You're learning from Philip Rivers, a potential Hall of Famer.
It reminds me of, you know, the Andy Dalton situation
in Carolina, though Dalton's not a quarterback of that level.
But Bryce Young gets benched, looks like his career might
be over. Andy Dalton is in a car accident. Young

(24:39):
returns to the starting lineup and he hasn't exited it
since because he progressed has started playing better. Hopefully Anthony
Richardson can call a similar similar path.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Yeah, and Philip Rivers maybe one of the most unathletic
quarterbacks of all time to play at a Hall of
Fame level. I think what he can teach Anthony Richardson
about the mental side of the game and then use
all those tools.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
That Anthony richards had.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Anthony Richardson has like he could become such a dangerous
quarterback if he can get the mental side of it down.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
Five actors star weapons Christian Watson and Josh Jacobs are
both questionable to return for Green Bay ahead of their
critical matchup with the Chicago Bears. With that in mind,
who do you think will win this battle for the
NFC North Crown.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
You know, I'm gonna put my chips on of Chicago.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Ben Johnson has come in and he's totally changed the
culture of what Chicago looked like. Because remember when mett
Evin Fouis was there, I mean, it was just a
hot mess.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
You guy always just rowing in the Cowboys defense.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
Well, yeah, I guess he's done. Definitely doing that.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
And just think about Caleb Williams just a year ago
as a first round draft choice, all the negative things
that was said about him and what he was lacking
from both the ability to play on the field and
from a leadership standpoint, and they're winning ball games.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
And one thing about the Chicago defense they're turning the
ball open.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
There was a sick throw against Cleaver, Caleb Wris rolling
to his right shot, jumping one foot that the.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Armstrip that get it back to the back of the
end zone. To DJ Moore, backyard football, you need one
of those guys. If you're not embracing it, you best
embrace it now.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
I agree with you, man.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I think maybe if the Packers were healthy, I would
go with the Packers, but they got decimated in that
loss to the Broncos. I like what Chicago is doing, man.
I am a big believer in Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams.
Now he's gonna go out there, paint his fingernails and
throw for a couple of touchdown passes. I think he
is on the right trajectory as a young quarterback. You know,

(26:43):
we were talking about Anthony Richardson and the last question.
Caleb Williams is a real deal. He just needed the
right coach and he's found that right coach in Ben Johnson.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
Six in their ranking up the most appealing potential head
coaching openings. Yes, I saw the story ESPN ranked of
their Here's how they ranked their eighth that they said
could open up er have already opened up at eighth,
the Raiders seventh, the Dolphins sixth, the Falcons fifth, the

(27:15):
Giants fourth, the Titans third, the Browns second, the Cardinals,
and first, and surprisingly grants Cincinnati. They are labeled as,
in ESPN's opinion, the most desirable potential ahead coaching opening.
What do you think of this list, guys? And do
you agree that the Raiders are the least appealing opening

(27:38):
and that the Bengals are the most appealing.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
I agree with the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
I don't agree with Cincinnati being the most appealing.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
The only okay?

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Well for me, I would think the Giants would be
because Giants have a young quarterback.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
They have a Jackson dartin concussion protocol every week.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Well, I mean, you can go ahead and try to
find another quarterback, but what you have is that you
have a young team, they are built out defensively, and
if you can get Dart out of concussion protocol, you'd
be okay. With Cincinnati, you have a lot of money,
money tied up into your wide receiver, three two receivers,

(28:21):
and your quarterback, and your defense is got awful.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
So how is that a desirable place to be?

Speaker 4 (28:27):
In?

Speaker 5 (28:27):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (28:27):
By the way the ownership is very cost effective translation
cheapest here.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Not even cleaning off the snow off the seats. Not
the Bengals faithful watching them get blown out.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
By the Ravens.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
That's against NFL rules.

Speaker 6 (28:40):
I was pointing that out on Twitter, that if you
dig into like the bylaws of the league, owners have
to provide snow clear clearing for their fans and Bengals
did not come through.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Not shocking at all, but I agree it is the
most appealing job for one advanced Joseph. Just let me
play this scenario out for you. Oh please Doroncos win
the rest of their games. They have a fourteen game
winning streak going into the playoffs. Think win the Super Bowl.
Vance Joseph rides out on his high horse in the parade.
He goes to Cincinnati. He's got all the offensive pieces

(29:13):
lined up. He's a defensive mastermind. He fixes the Bengals
defense and they're back in the playoffs next year.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Joe Burrow is a happy man again.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Jamar Chase and T Higgins, Mike Gseki catching touchdowns. Bengals
defense competent at least, you know see you.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Notice the words that Grant use.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
He didn't say anything about the defense being competitive, he said, competent.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
I'm glad you picked up.

Speaker 5 (29:42):
Competent. That means you can count the five, right, but
that doesn't necessarily mean that you can execute cover five.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Man, that's improvement.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Well, I mean, okay, Well, here's the thing, right, I'm
all for any coach having ability to get a coaching job,
but be careful because you want to make sure that
whatever job that is, you're therefore appear to talk in
not two years.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Nick, appreciate you as always, man, thanks for making this easy.
Glad you're feeling better.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
Yeah, so am. I Time to go hydrates that.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Great job tonight.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
You're less than the Broncos country to night on KOA.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Sometimes some coaches get so far out aheavy skis that
they venture over into buthole world.
