So the Commonwealth has very ambitious climacals. I think we all recognize with global
warming we need to reduce greenhouse gasemissions and National Grid wants to be a
partner in progress in that energy transformation. Hi, my name is Lisa Wheelan
and I'm the president of National Grid, New England. Increasingly people are going

(00:25):
to be more dependent upon us.It won't just be about keeping the lights
on or keeping the food in therefridge cold. Right, So if you
think about needing to charge your electriccar, if you think about heating your
home, you're going to expect fewerdisruptions. So people are going to need
more choices about how they consume energy, and we want to be there to
help them provide that. So wehave a two billion dollar investment plan that

(00:45):
we have proposed to build the futuregrid, that smarter, stronger, cleaner
grid to make sure that we canalso provide safe, reliable, affordable energy
and also make that transition equitable. One of the things that I've just been
so impressed about is how deeply committedour team is at National Grid to the
communities we serve beyond just making surethat people have the power that they need

(01:06):
and the energy that they need.So through our Grid for Good program,
we've invested in small businesses in ourcommunities. We also have energy savings program,
and we also volunteer at a lotof community organizations that could use our
health. CEOs You Should Know ispowered by iHeartMedia and sponsored by Comcast Business,
