Speaker 2 (00:08):
The bank industry has changed a lot over time. Used
to be only local community banks in our backyard. Now
we have banks all over the country, so we're preparing
for the future. My name is Ryan Bailey, President and
CEO of Cambridge Savings Bank. Yeah. So we're one hundred
and ninety year old bank right in Harvard Square. We
still have the original branch. So we'd like to give
back about sixty percent of our earnings back to the community.
Our employees get sixteen hours a year to volunteer back

(00:29):
into the community, so we've given over the last ten
years forty seven thousand hours. I think. One we have
a great team that really cares about the community.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I've came from larger banks, and I've always wanted to
be a community bank CEO. That was my dream, and
one of the reasons wanted to do that is because
I do think you get to know people at a
local level and you get involved more in the community.
So I know, even after six months to bank, more
what's going on here than I could possibly at a
larger institution. Really, we try to hire with people have
the DNA that really want to serve the community and

(00:59):
be also have that customer experience passion. You know. I
try to hire people that are best industry. We don't
have you know, millions of customers. We have one customer
you know, many times, and that's how we look at it.
