Maureen is the President and CEO of Easterseals NH & VT, having joined the organization in 2019. In this capacity, she leads more than 1,600 employees in serving the diverse needs of approximately 19,000 children, families, adults, seniors, and veterans of all abilities each year. In 1991, Maureen founded Families in Transition (FIT)-New Hampshire, which grew under her leadership to become one of the state’s largest organizations addressing homelessness in the community. Her tenure at FIT included day-to-day leadership, overseeing multiple mergers and acquisitions, and creating programs to help families and individuals in need. Since joining Easterseals NH & VT, Maureen has steered the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic and overseen a successful strategic planning process, providing vision and momentum for the agency. She has also spearheaded several large-scale infrastructure projects that will benefit the organization’s clients and their families, including Champlin Place, a three-story, 65-unit apartment complex for seniors completed in Rochester in 2024, and the first-of-its-kind Military & Veterans Campus, currently under development and anticipated to open in 2025. Maureen earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies and a Master of Arts in Community Development Policy and Practice from the University of New Hampshire. She is also a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire. Maureen has received numerous awards. In 2024, she was named one of Business NH Magazine’s 40 “Influential Leaders,” and received the New Hampshire Impact Award from the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits for her contributions to the nonprofit sector. That same year, Easterseals NH was also selected as the Nonprofit Business of the Year by Business NH Magazine, as was FIT under her leadership in 2013. She was also named Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year in 2017. Maureen was appointed by Governor Chris Sununu to serve on the University of New Hampshire’s Board of Trustees, a term that began in July 2024 and runs through June 2028.
