(00:00):
Welcome to our CEO Spotlight. You'reon PM Tampa Bay. I'm Ryan Gorman
and with me in studio we haveMark's, director of the Acoustic Wave Treatment
Center of Tampa Bay, where youcan find out more at Acousticwave Tampa dot
com. Mark Howry you, I'mvery good. How are you good?
Thank you so much for being here. Let's talk with a little bit about
you before we talk about the treatmentcenter and the unique type of treatment that
(00:22):
you offer. How did you firstget into this line of work. Well,
I'm a licensed business broker and I'malways looking at new ideas and I
saw this. I've had several carwrecks totaled out on me there, you
know, which is not good. And all the doctors ever offered me was
medications, needles and scalpels and Ihate all of that. Yeah, so
(00:43):
you're not alone. So I foundthis and I'm like, wow, this
is great. And if I'm thatway, maybe everybody else is that way
too. So it was just kindof a nice match. So when did
you first start with the Acoustic WaveTreatment Center? Tame about it a couple
of years ago. A couple ofyears ago, and when you started,
did you that once you let peopleknow, and we're going to get into
(01:03):
the type of treatment that you offer. But once you let people know that
this isn't medication, this isn't youknow, the typical forms of treatment that
you would normally get for those conditions, did you find the interest that you
thought you might. Oh, yeah, absolutely, yeah, we have.
We already have other centers open andwe're starting to open a lot more so.
What is shockwave therapy basically as anacoustic sound wave, shockwave, pulse
(01:26):
wave, They're all kind of thesame kind of deal. It's just a
non evasive treatment. They can godeep into the tissues, open up the
blood vessels and get the blood flowing, because good blood flow is key to
everything right in any kind of condition. Is this a newer type of technology?
Has this been around for a while, But sometimes we find that things
(01:46):
that you would think, oh thatsounds new, it's actually been around for
a while. We're just utilizing it. Do well. New to the let's
say more new to the United States, very well done and well known in
Europe and Canada and Australia, differentcountries. I thirty years they've been using
this for treatments. But remember differentmedicine over there mostly socialized medicine. Our
(02:07):
guys over here are controlled by thebig pharmaceutical companies, which is big money,
and they don't like things that requireno pharmaceuticals. Ah, gotcha.
So again we're talking to Marc Casey, director of the Acoustic Wave Treatment Center
of Tampa Bay here in our CEOspotlight. So what type of conditions do
you treat, because I'm sure weperked up some ears. We're talking about,
(02:27):
not using medication, not using certaininvasive procedures. What can you help
with? Well, our main treatmentsfocused mostly on erectile dysfunction Peroni's disease.
We do a lot of musculoskeletal pains, aches, pains, back, shoulders,
necks, legs, feet. Wealso do urinary incontinence. It's actually
(02:52):
a huge market for men and women. And then we're starting to get more
into more women's sexual hype treatments andwell, you know, we're not ready
yet, but we're getting ready toroll that program out here very shortly.
So in terms of the types ofpeople that you treat, do you typically
have more of an older clientele.Do you have some athletes that use this
(03:15):
kind of treatment? Does it runthe gamut of types of people we treat,
yes normally, like especially in theed deals, we'll see males as
young as in their twenties, wow, which makes you very sad. And
then we see them, of courseup in their nineties and everything in between.
So women on the incontinence issue wetypically see thirty to eighty, you
(03:39):
know, especially after childbirths. Nowthings aren't not actually functioning. They got
stretched out of shape problems down there, so you know, things like that.
But it's really amazing. And themuscular skeletal, the aches and the
pains and all that stuff, youknow, that's that's pretty phenomenal. I
wanted to touch on the aches andthe pains because, as I'm sure you're
(04:00):
very well aware, the opioid crisisis a huge issue here in the United
States. It's gained national attention. It's a big deal here in the state
of Florida, including here in theTampa Bay area. Do you find that
this shockwave therapy, this acoustic wavetreatment that you guys offer, do you
find that it is one of thosetypes of treatments that can potentially help with
(04:21):
that crisis because it can get peopleoff of those kinds of medications. Absolutely
absolutely. It's a great alternative too. And I myself am a poster child
for it. Like I say,I've had five cars, totaled out,
tons of neck and back pain, been through every doctor you can think of.
(04:41):
And I had a problem in mylow back for twenty seven years.
Wow, three treatments and that thatis gone. That's incredible. It's pretty
amazing. My partner in Atlanta, same thing with his shoulder, suffered with
it for like a year or twoand it's gone. Because I know that's
one thing that a lot of peopleare looking at. Could the alternatives be
so we can start to get awayfrom these things that we now see aren't
(05:03):
just dangerous, they're deadly. Ohit's crazy though. I can't even believe
that the doctors prescribe it. Butwith this, it's totally easy. You
don't really do anything. Very fewpeople feel any major pain or anything like
that. The nice thing is allthe acoustic wave does is it creates a
catalyst, and that catalyst stimulates stemcells their own body stem cells, and
(05:27):
then those stem cells go to workand start activating and working, and it's
just amazing what happens, and it'sit's quick. We're talking to the director
of the Acoustic Wave Treatment Center ofTampa Bay. You can find out more
to Acousticwave Tampa dot com. Whatabout the business side of this type of
healthcare? Do you find that it'sgrowing, especially here in the Tampa Bay
area. Absolutely, and we're expanding. We're adding affiliate offices across the country
(05:50):
right now. We just signed adeal here this week in Jackson, Mississippi.
Actually, so yeah, it's goingeverywhere everywhere. Is it like a
lot of things that we talk abouthere on the show, Is it just
about awareness, just letting people knowthat this is a treatment option that's out
there. People have no idea thatit's out there, because, you know,
Americans are brainwashed. We're all brainwashedabout medications. We're all brainwashed about
(06:13):
you know, well your doctor,my doctor says, well, your doctor
doesn't know really anything about what wedo typically, you know, maybe one
percent. So they're not going torecommend anything either like us, because we
take their business away and they don'tlike it. I've met they don't.
I'm in a building with a bunchof urologists and let me tell you,
(06:34):
I get the evil eye every morning. They're like, you know, a
scowl on their face. But yeah, our people come out after treating with
us very happy, springing their step. I mean that we've given them something
that they hadn't had in a longtime, typically without that medication or needle.
That needle's brutal. I mean, you have to stab that thing in
the side of your penis. Youknow, it's not a fun thing and
(06:58):
it's very anti romantic. I canonly imagine a lot of planning, preparation.
Yeah, I don't even know howpeople do it, but there are
bunches of people that do. That'show desperate people are for a solution.
Well, I know on the websitepeople can find out a lot more about
the treatment that you offer. Again, Acousticwavetampa dot com is the website director
of the Acousticwave Treatment Center of TampaBay. Marques, we appreciate you being
(07:19):
