Speaker 1 (00:02):
From major events to local headlines. This is Charleston's Morning
News on ninety four to three doubsc Now back to
Kelly and Blase.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hey, good Friday morning to you. I'm glad that you're
with us this morning. Hopefully you're doing well. President Trump
says a group of Democrats should be tried for seditious
behavior punishable by death and his post. Trump refer to
the lawmakers who made a video telling military members to
ignore orders issued by Trump if they are illegal. The Democrats,
all veterans of the military or intelligence services, imply the
(00:36):
administration is a threat to the constitution. Trump said, each
member is a trader and should be put on trial.
So is it seditious behavior? Here? You decide for yourself.
Here's the video that they put out.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I'm Senator Alissa Slockin, Senator Mark Kelley, Representative Chris Deluzio Igsmer,
and Maggie good Land, your representative Chrissy Hulahan.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Congressman Jason Crowe. I was a captain in the un
United States.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Navy, former CIA officer, former Navy, former paratrooper and Army ranger,
former intelligence officer, former Air Force.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
We want to speak directly to members of the military.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
And the intelligence community to take risks each day keep
Americans safe. We know you are under enormous stress and
pressure right now. Americans trust their military.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
That trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our
uniform military.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
And intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming
from a broad but from right here at home.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders.
No one has to carry out orders that violate the
law or our constitution.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
We know this is hard and that it's a difficult
time to be a public servant.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
But whether you're serving in the CIA, the Army, or Navy,
the Air Force.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Your vigilance is critical.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
And know that we have your back because now more
than ever, the American people need you. We need you
to stand up for our laws, our constitution, and.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Who we are as Americans. Don't give up.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up the ship.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
So there you go. You think that's seditious. They're telling
them they can refuse illegal orders, But what are they
really telling them to ignore President Trump's orders? I would say, right,
and we have your back? What does that mean if
you're in the service and you're like, Okay, now I'm
refusing my orders. I was told by Elicislotkinner or whatever
(02:37):
her name is, and Mark Kelly and these other characters
that I can refuse illegal orders. So I'm refusing my orders.
I am not doing this. You think that's going to
fly in the military. You think that it should fly
in the military, and we're somewhat of a military town.
(02:57):
I know there's plenty of people that are current to
former military members. What do you think Do you think
that this is irresponsible to put this out? Do you
think that they really have your back? Do you really
think that you can say, all right, I'm not doing
this because I believe that this is in illegal order,
so therefore I'm not following you. Seven to two one
(03:18):
talk seven two one two five fives the number of
the studio this morning. Let me know what you think
President Trump will talk to anybody, even commis. Caroline Lovett
says the president will welcome a communist to the White
House when New York City mayor elect Zorn. Mom Donnie
visits the Democratic Socialist We'll meet with President Trump at
the White House later today. Press Secretary Levitt says the
(03:40):
meeting speaks volumes about Trump's willingness to meet with anyone
to the benefit of all Americans. Trump is constantly referred
to Mom Donnie as a communist, so a lot of
people would say, you know, well, why talk to him
in the first place. And they try to say this about,
you know, his interactions with Putin or with Kim Jong un.
(04:05):
You know, there he goes again. He loves despots, he
loves you know, these communist leaders, and you know, he
wants to be king, he wants to be an iron
fisted ruler and all of these things. So why would
you not talk to these people. That's what Joe Biden practiced.
(04:26):
He wouldn't talk to Putin, and what ended up happening,
The Ukraine War ended up happening. So when you don't
talk to people, bad things happen in the vacuum. And
you don't have to agree with them to talk with them.
But wouldn't it be more helpful to talk with them
and get at least some kind of dialogue going and
hope that maybe you can have some influence down the
(04:48):
road by opening up that dialogue, or is it better
to just ignore them and go on TV and call
them names and completely ignore them and not have any
dialog with them at all, like our previous president did.
Look where it got us, got us into the current
mess that we're in. And so when this president tries
(05:08):
to open dialogue, like I said, you don't have to
agree with his policies, you don't have to like his personality,
but it's kind of over the top when you accuse
him of trying to be one of them by simply
talking to them. I think it's unfair, and I think
it's a smart thing to do to open up a
dialogue and talk with them, just as he's doing with
(05:29):
New York City Mayor elect zorin Mam Donnie. He doesn't
agree on probably anything with Mom Donnie, but it's at
least helpful to have an open dialogue with him. He's
going to be the mayor of New York City, so
he can continue to call him out and not have
that dialogue and then just let New York fester. I
(05:49):
think a lot of people would like to see that happen.
The opponents of Mam Donnie and the opponents of socialism
and communism. But I think it's helpful to have that
dialogue opened, that dialogue and at least have a conversation
and try to have as much influence as you can
on the decisions that these people are going to make
and how they're going to move forward with their agendas.
(06:12):
Federal prosecutors are moving to dismiss charges against a Chicago
woman who was shot after allegedly ramming a Border Patrol car.
American citizen Mermar Martinez and her co defendant, Anthony Ruiz
had both pleaded not guilty to federal charges of assaulting, resisting,
or impeding federal officers. The defense had maintained the Border
(06:33):
Patrol vehicle had rammed into Martinez before she was shot.
The Justice Department had said Martinez and Ruz used their
cars to block federal agents and ram their vehicles in
an accident in October fourth in Chicago's Brydon Park. A
federal judge had expressed skepticism about how the investigation was handled.
So they're off the hook, although she did get shot.
(06:55):
This is what the Democrats are promoting. This is how
they're fighting back. Against as president, instead of leaving it
up for debate and challenging them in the polls because
they lost. Now they're just trying to create unrest in
the streets. This is what they promote. And of course
they say they don't promote this. It's peaceful protesting after all,
(07:16):
except it's not peaceful. You've seen the videos and it's
much like the Summer of Love where the reporter stood
there and that's where you know, the whole peaceful protesting,
you know mantra came from. And why we make fun
of it, the reporters standing in front of the burning
building saying that it was mostly peaceful protesters burning down buildings.
(07:38):
And we see it in Chicago. Look at how they
harass and haranguing at these ICE agents, getting up in
their face and screaming, throwing frozen water bottles and rocks
and whatever else they can find at them, shooting fireworks
at them, and yes, whether it's the case in this
particular case, or not ramming their vehicles with cars, outing them,
(08:03):
doxing them, sending out warnings online that they're coming. Now,
whether you agree or disagree with this president's immigration policy,
don't you think that that is not good for America.
That it's not good for the people that they're supposedly
trying to protect, not good for the neighborhoods that they're in,
(08:24):
not good for their country. I don't know how you
can watch that and think any other way than that
it's bad behavior. And think about if you're want of
these ICE agents or federal agents out there having to
put up with that every day to do your job,
to try to protect this country, and you got to
put up with that. So you know, as I said,
this particular case, I don't know the woman ended up
(08:46):
getting shot. I don't know what's going to come of that,
but the charges against her are going to be dismissed.
It looks like, but this is the playbook. Go out
there and cause unrest, rile these people up, and the
people that are doing this care about any of these
people or do they only care about themselves in their power?
(09:07):
And I guess you know, you have to ask. I've
asked myself. I'm like, okay, So if it is about
their power, then why is their power so important to them?
Of course, it's nice to have some power and influence,
but the paycheck that comes along with it's beautiful, isn't it.
We see how well they've done serving the American people. Well,
(09:30):
they enrich themselves, and there's nothing wrong with enriching yourself,
but I would say do it outside of the government domain.
You know, if you want to be a public servant,
be a public servant. But I don't know how you
can become a millionaire while you're being a public servant.
I really don't. And you see how they they release
this video. They'll throw the military under the bus telling
(09:52):
them to refuse, and they already take an oath to
do that, to uphold the constitution and not carry out
illegal orders. So these Democrats come out and say they
should refuse illegal orders. They have their back. What do
you think is going to happen to these people that
take them for their word and it's not what a
(10:13):
military member thinks is an illegal order. I think that's illegal.
I am not following it. These people I saw on video,
I saw Mark Kelly, you know, tell me too that
they've got my back and to refuse these orders. They're
totally ambiguous about what they're talking about on that video,
and they're urging these military members to not follow orders
(10:34):
and unless as one listener pointed out that they're asking
you to commit a war crime. You better do what
you're told and follow your orders and not listen to
these Democrats because they don't have your best interest at heart.
They're playing political games with your career, your future, your life,
and the same thing they're doing with these protesters in
(10:55):
the streets, same thing, honestly, that they're doing with the
victims of Jeffrey Epstein. Do you really think they care
about them so much. If they did, they would have
done something already. They would have done something years ago.
They would have been clamoring for the release of these
documents regarding the case years ago while they were in power,
but they didn't do it. It's only now that the
(11:16):
Republicans are in power and this president has the White
House that they're all of a sudden so concerned. They
never made a peep about releasing them all of a
sudden number one priority because they care about the victims,
and they care about you, and they care about the country.
I don't think so. John's on the line with me.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Good morning, John, Say, Good morning Blaze. I want to
point out just a few things. The Constitution, the first
civil rights Number one that people have a right to
peacefully assemble to petition government with grievances. What we have
(11:58):
seen is not peaceful fires, destruction, death, burning, attacks against
the federal government. That's a civil war. That's a breakdown.
And it's the edition. The edition, I think is feature
conduct to cause incitement and discontent for an insurrection. And
(12:19):
this is what the Democrats are doing. It's right in
front of our eyes, just like we saw Biden's incompatmental incapacity.
Just why we are seeing boys are not girls, no
matter what they may identify, and that's why we're seeing
man made climate change. All this stuff is a bunch
of hooey and it just keeps hitting the fan. But
(12:42):
I agree with you one place and looking back, and
it's just been just over a year that said Donald
Trump has been elected president. When he was I said,
now it's really going to hit the fan and the
fund's going to start and it has. So listen you
and your own Yes, I have a great Thanksgiving, okay,
but I agree.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
With you one percent.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Well, thanks John, and thanks for the call. And by
the way, you had told me that it's your birthday
on Thanksgiving, so happy early birthday to you.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Well thank you very much. Place you take care of
your foot?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Okay, thanks John, Yes I will. He's a referring I
shared earlier. I broke my foot the other day, and
I blamed it out my wife. I'm just jokingly doing that,
you know, she was she was trying to make our
life better, clean the house organized and all of this.
And there's this big wood crate in the hallway and
there's stuff everywhere. And I'm a big guy, and you know,
(13:37):
I need more room to move around than normal people do.
And so I tripped, to make a long story short,
and smashed my foot on this crate, and you know,
multiple toes. You know how painful it is, like when
you catch a little toe on something and you know
(13:57):
it's sticking out sideways or whatever, that with like half
my foot. And so I've been limping around and I've
been trying to concentrate, and you know, it's hard to sleep,
and it's hard to concentrate on what you're doing while
you know your body's like But you know, a handful
of iboprofen and aspirin seem to take the edge off anyway.
(14:20):
So that's my excuse this morning. What's yours?
Speaker 1 (14:25):
