Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to this episode of the Chats with jud podcast.
I'm so excited you're here because our guest today is
going to dive into human design, which is a tool
that I've been playing with quite a bit, but I'm
definitely not an expert. And because I love this tool,
it has helped me to really understand the mechanisms of
my being and then be able to apply that to

(00:22):
my life, to my business, to become the most expansive
version of myself. Because I love this tool, I wanted
to find somebody who really really can master it to
talk to you about it, introduce it. Maybe you're a
little familiar with human design already, but what I love
about our guest today is that she goes really deep

(00:43):
with human design, utilizing other techniques to really help you
to integrate and make sure that what you're learning about
human design is applicable to you and you're going to
be able to integrate it and actually make use of
it instead of just learning all these things and then
being on that education overload and not be able to
truly apply it. And so today we're going to be

(01:06):
talking to Adriana Keith. She is a human design expert
and speaker, and her passion is to guide women in
defining and embodying their sense of self and spirituality. She
is a four to six manifesting generator by Human Design,
which you're going to learn what that means in just
a moment during our chit chat together. She's also a wife.

(01:27):
She is a mom to three kids. I don't know
how mom's out there do more than one kid at
that time. I'm still trying to figure out my first
She is a lover of animals and she loves a
show new Girl. I really appreciate somebody who can share
their like Binge show in their bio. That means a
lot to me. And she is also the host of

(01:50):
the Nobs Human Design podcast, where I had the honor
of also being a guest and sharing quite a few
things about myself that I've actually never shared before in
any other podcast. So once that show drops, I'm going
to make sure to also link it in the show
notes on this episode where I'm featuring Adriana, so that
you can take a listen to that episode as well.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Because I shared quite a few.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Spiritual tools that I use in business that I've never
talked about anywhere else. Adriana works with people through speaking events.
She offers one on one coaching. She also has phenomenal
group coaching programs, and she does HD chart readings. But
what I'm really excited about is her upcoming retreat, and
I'm going to tell you all about that during this episode.

(02:36):
But if you want to get that information right away,
you can also just go to the show notes right
now and click on that link. That retreat is coming up.
It's going to be incredible and you're going to learn
more about what it entails during the episode. But if
you're interested in a retreat where you're going to dive
into human design reiki, you're going to have additional support
after the retreat for integration. Make sure you check out

(02:57):
the show notes right away, because I know that as
I'm recording this episode right now, this retreat is selling
out pretty fast. There's only like a handful of seats available,
so make sure you check out the show notes. But anyway,
this conversation with Agana is absolutely amazing and I can't
wait for you to check it out. This is Chats
with GG, a podcast for women who are ready to

(03:18):
step into their power, get unstuck, and create more freedom.
In all areas of life. I'm your host, GGDZ certified
life and business coach, media personality and multi passionate entrepreneur.
I've helped hundreds of women find the necessary clarity, confidence,

(03:39):
and courage to build their dream life and achieve success
with less stress. If you're seeking weekly motivation, practical and
spiritual advice, and tangible resources to scale in life and
in business, then you're in the right place.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Are you ready? Here we go.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Thank you so much for joining us on the Chats
with you Do podcast today.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I'm so excited to put a face to the name Adriana.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Thank you for being here to share with those that
are listening right now or maybe watching the video. Adriana
and I are in a community together that is all
about entrepreneurial growth and expansion, and there are so many
incredible women in there who each have their own gifts,
and Adriana's knowledge and gift revolves around human design, which
has been something I'm so curious about and I've been

(04:29):
kind of learning a little bit about. But it's such
a powerful tool for intuitively led business, which is one
of the things that I absolutely love and advocate for.
So I'm excited to get into this conversation with you.
Can you tell us a little bit about how human
design found you?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yes, absolutely, thank you for having me.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
I could talk about human design all day for anyone
who's listening who already understands a little bit about human design.
I am a four to six emotional manifesting generator, so
I just literally loved talking to people all the time.
And long story short, when I was pregnant with my
second daughter, I have what I call my quarter life crisis.
I was an award winning realtor, and you know, from

(05:13):
the outside looking in, everything was perfect. I had the house,
I had the husband, everything, and underneath I was miserable.
So I ended up hiring my first life coach and
she introduced me to the system called human design, which
at the time I had no sense of spirituality. I
was raised in a Christian household. I have a childhood

(05:36):
filled with abuse and trauma. Therefore, I did not connect
with anything, and so as I got older, I didn't
believe anything was out there besides us. And then she
pulled up my human design chart and it all resonated
so deeply with who I was as a child, not
who I was in the moment that I.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Was like, wait, what does this mean?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
If this is accurate and it's not like a personality tests,
you don't answer questions. I have my own beef with those,
but what does that actually mean? And so yeah, I
started going down that rabbit hole, and eventually I had
a business coach who was like, you need to really
lead with this human design thing, and I resisted. I
was like, nope, nope, not coming out of that spiritual closet,

(06:19):
not doing it. And then about two and a half
years ago, I finally did, and it was the best
decision I ever made. I have grown tremendously because I've
been forced to continue to evolve within my design because
I'm showing up as a leader in it. So it
was the best decision I ever made in all aspects
of my life.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
That's so beautiful, and I wonder it happened so much
that our greatest discoveries and expansions come from Like you said,
from the outside in it looked perfect, but inside I
was miserable.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I have my own.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Story with that, as you know, where it's like from
the outside and on paper, everything I was doing in
my careers looked amazing, but I was like.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
It's not enough. It's not enough.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I didn't feel fulfilled. I didn't feel like my soul
was happy with everything that was going on. What would
you say to someone who is listening right now, who
is feeling that, who is feeling like I'm doing all
the things and everyone is congratulating me, and everyone sees
this shiny, beautiful, happy version of me, But when I

(07:21):
close my eyes at night, I don't feel like that.
How would you invite them to What should they look
for in their human design to start digging into or
digging themselves out of that moment?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Well, the first thing I want to touch on is
starting to build awareness around the fact that if you
are not fulfilled yourself, if you are actually feeling more
broken than you are satisfied or happy, no one else
around you is going to be able to thrive in
relationship with you, whether it's your partner or your kids

(07:55):
or your colleagues, your life in general will not be
able to thrive in the best way that it could.
It all starts with you, right it alwos starts with
coming back to yourself. And it's like that poor from
an empty cup metaphor that everyone talks about, but that's
really it. You cannot pour from an empty cup. So
it is not selfish to start to dive into these things,

(08:16):
especially if your mom. I know, in mom culture it's
extra annoying to feel like we feel guilt about everything.
But this is literally the best thing you could be
doing for your relationship, for your kids. Literally, my sex
life is incredible with my husband, my kids, and I
all get along like really great. And of course we
have our challenges, which tend to be in the seasons

(08:38):
where I stop putting myself first and my needs first. Right,
So when you put yourself first and start doing this
kind of stuff, everything else just gets better. So I
just want to leave that there for anyone who's like, oh,
I can't do me when you start looking into something
like human design, Well, for one, you can download your
chart right on my website. That way, if you're listen

(09:00):
right now and you want to be able to follow
along with anything we talk about, now you can understand
a little bit for yourself the things to start with.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
We share that website really quickly.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
For someone oh, yes, sitting right now and they want
to just jump, well add it to the show notes.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
But if they just want to jump on right now.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
It is Adrianna Keith Adriana with one end dot com
slash get your chart and then you can download it
right there. Always starting with type and strategy. If you're
someone like me, you're going to want to binge the
content and binge everything, but binging content doesn't actually help
integrate it into your life. And what this is is
it's your energetic design. It's who you were born to be,

(09:37):
not who you were conditioned to be based on your surroundings,
your environment, your family, your teachers, whatever. So in order
to start actually seeing change in your life, you have
to take it peace by piece. Type is what like
the highest level you can go. There are five types
within the human design system. And it does not put
you in a box because underneath that are so many

(09:59):
layers that make you so incredibly different. But it at
least tells you what your aura is like, what your
electromagnetic field around you is like, and how you influence people,
how you talk to people, how you receive opportunities. So
start playing around with that, and then strategy. Strategy is
the way that you're in design to interact with the
world around you, and that's based on your type. So

(10:21):
starting with just those two pieces can make a world
of difference in your day to day life.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Something else that I found fascinating that you talked about
that I think can be true for a lot of
people is you said, I was born in a Christian
household and I didn't want to tap into all these
other things. And I wonder what would you say to
those people that are also in Christian households now and
feel like there is a disconnection between things like human

(10:51):
design and your connection to God.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
I am talking about this so much lately.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
I am loving that there are so many support systems
now for helping people find what they believe in. I
have two friends who work in faith deconstruction and who
were pastors or ministers of some sort and decided to
leave the church. I think as women, especially, we're starting
to recognize that we can have our own opinions, that

(11:17):
we can make our own choices, and that certain things
within certain religions don't necessarily align to our core authenticity.
I encourage you to just give yourself grace. It is
not easy, especially when your family is of a certain
religion and you start saying, well, I don't know about
this big guy in the sky who sends gay people

(11:39):
to hell? Right like, that was one of my first
big no nos. But also letting you know there's a
lot of support out there for literally this exact topic
right now. That's actually one of the biggest foundations of
my human design business. Not necessarily religion specific, but having
some sort of connection to some theme is so crucial

(12:01):
if you want to explore energetics, which people that's one
of my beef things I have with human design. People
don't teach that you're supposed to just trustfall into this
system and you're like, I don't like if you were
like me and you don't believe that things are going
to be brought to you, don't believe in that kind
of stuff. It's just something to start noticing to build.
So in my work specifically, it doesn't matter if you

(12:24):
believe in God, universe, source, Buddha, I don't care who
you connect with, the blankets, aliens, like we all are
from like this entire spectrum of belief. But I actually
took this class in college. Of course, it was just
like a class I had to take, and I didn't
appreciate it at the time, but it was world religion
and I learned that every single religion all comes back

(12:48):
to this same belief system that we are all connected
in some way, shape or form. So there's a lot
of support out there, and it doesn't matter what you
choose to believe in, but giving yourself grace along away
and just taking baby steps and quite getting curious. Curiosity
is like my favorite word, and just exploring from there.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, I feel like that's one of those things that
the systems that we're born into do a really good
job at removing from us at an early age, because
it's through curiosity that we become our greatest, most expansive
versions of ourselves. You as a child, the first thing
we do to kids is don't touch that cause it's thirty.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Don't do that because you'll get hurt.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Don't this, don't that, And then we teach them how
to think. We put them in a box, and then
you fast forward from there. They are adults that only
do things a certain way, in the safest way, so
that they don't get hurt, they don't get damaged, nobody
dislikes them, and it's like you lose all curiosity where
it's like what happens if I poke this?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
You know? Why is that? Falling down, like why is
that going upwards? Why is that going sideways?

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Like, if you don't get curious about life, it becomes
pretty First of all, it becomes really monotone. But second
of all, you're missing out on opportunities, you know, like
how do you how do you find the new colors?
How do you find the new flavors if you don't
get curious about you know, mixing things up a little bit.
And so something else that I want to talk about.

(14:10):
A lot of this podcast and a lot of my community.
We talk a lot about business. We talk a lot
about expansion. We talk a lot about utilizing tools like
human design to help us be the most authentic versions
of ourselves so that we can reflect that way into
our business. But something that I know to be true
is that your well being and your mental health and

(14:32):
how you take care of yourself as the person behind
the business is also critical. And you were talking to
me offline about how human design helped you to overcome
childhood trauma, and I have never heard of human design
being used in that way. So can you share a
little bit more about that?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Absolutely, I will say this is a trigger warning, so
if you need to skip ahead, about like ten seconds
feel free to do so. When I was a child
around ages seven to ten or so, I was sexually
abused from someone within the family. And as I got older,
I started to recognize that I needed to seek help.
This was something that was brushed under the rug by

(15:12):
my family. Nothing was done, that was it. So when
I got older, I was actually around the time I
had my first daughter. You know, intuition opens up, which
we've talked about, and I went to therapy, did all
the things.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
I still have a therapist.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
I believe in having a therapist, and I did emdr
all of that and it felped neutralizing flashbacks.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
It helped with my day to day.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
At one point, I thought I needed to be committed
because I was in such a bad space. And after
a lot of that work, I recognized, Okay, I can
get through the day. Except I'm a sheelle of a human.
I don't know who I am. I don't know what
I want. I felt like I was just walking around
the house as like a roommate to my husband because

(15:55):
I felt so empty inside, and a really human design
found me. It kept hitting me over the head until
I was like actually paying attention to it. And I
started to peel back those layers and understand that that
little version of me I was a dancer. I was
always on stage, and I was always told I was

(16:15):
too much, too loud, sit down and be quiet. So
for about twenty something years of my life, I didn't
we wouldn't have had this conversation right now. I would
be way too afraid to talk to You'd be like,
she doesn't like me, none of that. And so I
started to piece together that the young version of me,
the person who wants to be center stage, is actually
who I'm designed to be.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I'man god damn Leo rithy like.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
I am someone who likes to be big and bold
and love beautiful things. And that took time. It took
nervous system work. This kind of stuff doesn't just It's
not like you can just tell your mind and body, okay,
this is me. I'm a people person. I love people,
I love relationships. I thrive in my community.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Oh hell no.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
I was so terrified of rejection.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
There was so much shadow that came up throughout that
in my nervous system would typically go into either freeze
or flight. So I've done a lot of work within
the nervous system. And this is how I use human
design now. It is never without something like tapping, which
is emotional freedom technique, or bringing in a breathwork consultant
or something. It is always working with the nervous system

(17:22):
so that your body actually feels safe enough to start
making changes, to start stepping out of your comfort zone
and knowing it's safe to like go ask someone for coffee.
So that's that's kind of how, in a nutshell, how
I've used it to heal. I'm more myself in the
past year than I've ever been in like since I

(17:43):
was a kid. And because of that, I've become a
medium like spontaneously, which apparently I did as a kid,
but was shut down.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
I just don't.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
I don't remember that.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
And so around this time last year, I started channeling
spirit and I've been taking psychic development classes ever set
And it's just because everything's turning back online.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
This stuff really works, it really does.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I think that's so beautiful.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
We give ourselves an opportunity to go within, to really
tap into like who we are truly, like you said,
not who we were rased to be conditioned to be
by society and our surroundings. And family members and all
this stuff, but who were truly designed to be This
shit really does work, like our gifts are like, hey, I've.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Been here all this time, Thanks for letting me out
this box, you know, yes, and life just really begins
to flow in the most beautiful, soft, smooth, exciting, surprising
ways if we just give ourselves an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
To allow our true selves out, to allow ourselves out
of the box that usually you know, society, family, whatever
puts us in in the process of growing up.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
But also.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Never so I mentioned before, I've never heard anybody utilize
human design in this way that you're doing it, incorporating
all of these other elements for wellness, and I love that,
But I feel like everyone who masters their industry also
has like a bone to pick with the industry, or

(19:22):
else we wouldn't feel like we need to come to
a different For me, that is the approach of and
this is like our model and seizing happy. It's like
we nurture the business and the woman behind the business equally.
That's important for me. If you're not well, your business
can't be well. I feel like most business coaches only
talk about like the business and the strategy and the
marketing and this and the content and the fucking copy,

(19:42):
and it's like, none of that's gonna work. If you're
feeling insecure, if you're feeling less than worthy, if you're
you know, stuck in life, if you're not growing all
the things. What is your bone to pick with human
design and how other people are utilizing or expressing or
teaching human design.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
I have already in some way, shape or form, touched
on both of I have two of them, both of them,
and one is that if you don't have any sense
of connection to any anything out there, that's my biggest one.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
No, I would say.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
They're pretty equal, actually, I take that back. And the
second being the nervous system work, like the safety in
the body kind of work, because the amount of people
who you know, start bringing human design content. And this
goes for any modality, numerology, astrology. If you're trying to
come back home to who you are, but you are

(20:42):
dissociated from your body, you can't feel what's called the
sacral gut response. You can't feel what your emotions feel like.
I didn't feel my body, Gigi, until like three years ago.
I did not feel things, and I used to pride
myself on being someone who didn't cry, who felt numb, right,
because that's like a bad of honor that we've been.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Taught to wear. I cry.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
You could talk to me about puppies right now and
I'll start crying. I cried everything now, I just let
it all flow. And in the mainstream human design world,
there's a lot of really well intentioned educators, and there's
I've seen a lot of people who have attempted to

(21:23):
come back home to themselves and then end up thinking
it doesn't work or I'm broken because they can't feel
their body, they're dissociated, or they hit some sort of
upper limit. You even read The Big Leap, It's like
one of my favorite books. It's best upper limiting.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Somewhere are yes so good?

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (21:45):
And that's literally it happens with every client all the time.
I had one texting me yesterday She's like, I'm upper limiting.
I know it, because at some point you're subconscious it
is like breaks, this isn't safe, this is new, not good.
Shut down. Everything has to suck again. And if you're
just learning human design without any of that knowledge, then

(22:06):
you'll think it doesn't work, or you will think you're broken. So,
I mean the safety in the body piece is so
huge for me as someone who was very dissociated, and
it's super common. You don't even have to have had
an abuse trauma like mine to feel dissociated. It could
be as simple as like you and I've touched on
telling your kids, no, you're not full, keep eating well

(22:27):
now you there go your hunger cues, right like, it
can be all of that.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
This is so important because you used a word that
you know. There's a lot of well intentioned educators out
there and education is not enough, just like knowledge is
not power. If you can't integrate the knowledge that you have,
it is useless. And I feel like when we are

(22:58):
in spaces like this that are life changing spaces, you know,
HD life coaching, even coaching in business, if you are
not there to help the person to integrate what you
were teaching, you're not doing the full work. In my opinion,
I know I might piss off some coaches out there

(23:20):
with that, and that's okay.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
But that's what I truly believe.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
If you are not there to help with the integration,
you're not doing the You're not doing the full job.
Because I can give you education all day.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
But what you.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Can receive, what you integrate, what you can even apply
in that moment may not be the same, and it
may be too heavy for you to carry on your own.
It may be too much for you to handle on
your own. And I think I'm not saying that we
should baby our clients or that we should you know,

(23:56):
carry them on our backs, but there is a process
that is very important. When you're taking people this deep inward,
it is important to be there to support through the
integration because education enough is not enough.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Education alone is not enough.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
This is exactly why.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
So I have a business partners. We're not in the
same business, but we work together a lot because she's
a crystal Reiki master, so if we're healing, we're moving energy.
She's just an obvious partner. And we're hosting a retreat
for the first time.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
This is literally the biggest thing for us.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
We have added on for every single attendee for the
retreat a month of follow up guidance and coaching for
anyone who attends the retreat because of that integration piece.
It's like you see so many people coming home from
any retreat. We can get away whatever, and it's like
your mood just plummets. You feel depressed, anxious because you're

(24:55):
coming back to a reality that you weren't taught how
to integrate it. And again, so so many retreats are
available to us these days. It's incredible, and not everyone
thinks about the mental health when people come back.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah, that was actually my next question to you, because
I'm super excited about your retreat. I want to talk
more about what we can expect from this retreat. And
one of the things that made it stand out for
me is in fact that after support, because I feel
like sometimes these retreats, we go on the retreat, we're
on a high. Right, you're eating better because the food
is healthier, you're working out or at least moving your body,

(25:30):
you're channeling, you're connecting, you're doing all the things, and
then you come back and there's a disconnect between the
life that you were living on the retreat and how
to integrate that into your daily life with your three
kids and your business and the husband and the things. Right,
and so tell us about this experience that you're hosting.
But then also, you know, how can we overcome that.

(25:54):
I almost want to call it like a withdrawal. It's
almost like a retreat. You come back and you're just
like itching for like the life doesn't fit me anymore,
but I don't know how to make it fit, and
I want to do it all at once.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I wanted to feel like they retreat again.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
But now my kids are here, and so as my husband,
and so as my my you know, my trigger with
my mother in law or my mom or whoever it is.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
And so how do how do.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
We incorporate and integrate and how are you providing that
support for those attendees to your retreat.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
While we're teaching a lot of tools that you can
do easily at home, like tapping. For anyone who doesn't
know what tapping is, it's literally tapping on points of
your body, just like acupuncture or acupressure.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
And other tools.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
Like you know she's going to be talking about there's
this violet flame attunement thing that we're doing, and I
don't fully understand it.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
This is like her thing. It seems very intense but
like beautiful.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
It's like I don't know, it's just like this chanting thing,
not to mention, like breathwork, all of these other tools,
and we're literally working together to create a custom roadmap
for you for when you go home. So it's like
we give you a ton of tools throughout the weekend,
you pick what feels good for you for this season
of life. It can change, and then that way we
you know, we talk about rituals and routines when you

(27:07):
get home, especially based around your human design. Like if
you're aligned too, you're gonna need way more alone time
than someone who's like me, So things like that we
have to take into consideration.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
It's really about, like you.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Had mentioned earlier when you were on my podcast, taking
in all the information of all the tools that you
could use, and then understanding which ones you actually want
to use and feel good for you. This is not
going to be us throwing you say this is what
you need to do every single day. That's not how
it works, especially if you're a mom of three or

(27:40):
you know any kids. So it's like having a little roadmap,
but you need to understand what your options are first.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
If you're starting from scratch right now, you have no
what I mean.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
You could do something like tapping absolutely and start there
every day, but you also want to explore other tools
that might work better for you and figure out what
kind of rituals and routines and you to put into
your life. Like for me, literally there's a lot of sex,
a lot of sex rituals.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
That go on. I love that. It is so healthy
for me.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
So it's different for everyone, especially depends on your season
of life.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
And so this retreat is happening. It's gonna involve human Design,
it's gonna involve reiki. All the details on how to
access the retreat, how to save your spot. I know
that you're almost out of seats for this retreat, so
everything is going to be in the show notes.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Make sure that you jump in as soon as possible.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
I know some of the opportunities in the retreat are
also already sold out, so make sure that you find
all the details in the show note. And and Gianna, how
can we connect with you online?

Speaker 3 (28:47):
