Speaker 1 (00:00):
I know you've seen the posts. They're trending everywhere talking
about the trad wife. What we're going to get into
on this episode, and we're going to get into it deeply,
is what we are getting wrong about the trad wife
trend and the modern woman discussion. And it's gonna be
maybe a little controversial because not everyone might agree with
my point of view. But I know you've noticed to

(00:20):
everyone online is suddenly sharing their opinion about whether it's
better to be a trad wife or to be a
modern woman. And I want to talk about that and
my thoughts on this today and how it can be
affecting your life, your family, and your business if you're
not looking at it from a very particular point of view.

(02:31):
trad wife trending now is really driving me insane. If
I could just say it in one simple sentence, and
here's the truth. It's not because I have anything against
being a tradwife or trad wives. It's because there is
a gap in the messaging, and it is because there

(02:52):
is a false depiction happening in by many of the
women nettle. This is a general conversation, so obviously it's
not going to apply to every individual, okay, but a
lot of what's happening with this whole trad wife versus
modern woman conversation is filled with holes. There are holes

(03:15):
in the arguments for both sides. Okay, So let's get
started with first, why the hell is there a rise
of the traad wife movement happening lately and especially after
us women have worked so hard for the last whatever
hundred years or so to be able to gain financial independence,

(03:39):
to be able to use that financial independence, to get
out of miserable marriages, to be able to make our
own decisions, to be able to have some sort of
power and say in our lives, a lot of which
is not available to us without financial independence, because you
depend on technically theoretically speaking, your husband or whatever the

(04:02):
next man is in your family to give you the
permissions to be able to do the things. Okay, So
from what I've seen, from what I understand, the rise
of this whole new traadwife movement is because there is
obviously and rightfully so, a backlash. There's a resistance by

(04:23):
women to the concept of doing it all right. Of course,
it's exhausting, it leads to burnout when the having it
all element and requires doing it all, and the way
that most people do it all being like we try
to do it all at the same time, it is depleting, right,
it is depleting. And so the reason why, and this

(04:47):
is kind of like where it turns into a loophole,
the reason why we wanted the financial independence was so
that we could have the security, right like, the desire
for security led us there. However, going back to the
standard trad wife living, which in it technically the definition

(05:10):
is the traditional wife does not have a job, does
not make her own money, she stays home with the kids,
and she is a homemaker, which in and of itself
is a full time job. It's a NonStop, full time
to twenty four hour job. I get it. I have
kids too. I feel you now. A lot of women

(05:33):
feeling exhausted by trying to balance career, by trying to
balance family. Of course, it can be it can seem
appealing to go the trad to go back to that
trad wife lifestyle. Right, it is perceived, it looks it online.
In the reals, it looks less stressful because the women

(05:56):
creating the content around tradwifing are doing it when their
kids are well behaved and they're baking the bread, and
they put their camera up on a tripod and they're
posting the parts that look the best. Right, Most people
I know don't have the mental capacity to set up
the tripod, angle the camera and hit record when your

(06:16):
kid's having a fucking meltdown, when your kids on a
level five chaos storm, screaming I'm going to ruin your
life tantrum. You're not really setting up the camera to record,
are you. No, You're not right. You're trying not to
strangle your kid. And I get it. And so a
lot of what it looks like looks appealing because we're

(06:40):
burnt out from working and balancing the house. Right, the
aesthetics of it, the domestic skills, which are super relaxing.
I mean, hey, I hate baking, but I love cooking.
And I can see where that desire for the security
is also very appealing, where it's it's like, oh, I'll

(07:00):
just have a man go out and work and I'll
take care of the home. And it feels like a
good balance. And I get I understand the conservative values
of that being appealing as well. I get it. But
here's the problem. When you depend on a man, even
the best of men. And this is coming from somebody

(07:22):
who is married to what I think is the greatest
man in the world. Okay, he's involved. He does dishes,
he does laundry, he puts away the kids clothes, he
takes care of our son like up to par with me.
He's not gonna quote unquote babysit them. He's a dad.
He's like a full time parent, also very involved, hands on,
no complaints. Even when you're married to somebody like that,

(07:43):
chick can go sideways. And if you don't have the
financial security to get up and leave, to hire a
good attorney to make the hard decisions right, then what happens.
You're suck. You're stuck in a relationship with some that
you no longer are happy with. We're not even going
to go as far as to talk about things like

(08:05):
domestic violence. We're not going to go as far as
to talk about any other form of abuse. We're just
going to talk about you no longer being happy with
this person. We're going to talk about just falling out
of love. We're not even going to talk about cheating.
Is it fair to you to be living with somebody
with whom you are no longer happy or who is
no longer happy with you, and you have no possibility

(08:29):
of leaving, So that dependence is a problem. It increases
our vulnerability to things like domestic abuse and all the
other circumstances that many women one hundred years ago were
trying to acquire this financial freedom to get away from.
Right now, The other part of that, and this is

(08:52):
where those gaps are coming in, is most of these
women who are posting about the trad wife being their
choice number one are getting paid for these posts. So
they're sharing their favorite products. They're sharing their favorite arena

(09:14):
to make a bang, They're sharing their favorite sassong to
make a boetoa ninho. You know, this is work content
creation is work. Don't believe me. How do you feel
about making content for your fucking business? Because I have
dozens of clients who come to me because they hate

(09:35):
making content because it's hard, because it feels like a
part time job on top of their full time job
and their business. So, yeah, they're making money out of this.
So are they really a tread wife? Is it really treadwifing. No,
it's not. That's number one. Number two. A lot of
the women who are talking about I left my sixth

(09:56):
figure and my seventh figure and my whatever figure business
career to become a full time mom. The only mom
that I have heard say that that has been transparent
about it has been Catherine's and Kina and transparent not
because she's given numbers, but because she admittedly had said,

(10:22):
I'm walking away from my business, but my business ain't
going anywhere. She just changed her business structure, and she's
never called herself a troadwife. She just said I'm leaving
my business to go spend more time with my kids,
right with her son, and now she's pregnant, I think
with another boy. So a lot of these women have

(10:42):
investment portfolios set up because they had very profitable businesses
that they were running for several years, right of not
half their lifetime. Or they're coming out of careers where
they also have other forms of income, more passive income.
Many of these women have real estate portfolios. Many of
these have other ways of making money, passive ways of

(11:03):
making money, or I don't believe in all passive money
that doesn't exist, but you know what I'm saying, like
more passive ways than being on a clock right offering
a service or product. And so what happens is that
those women, Yeah, I mean, if you want to take
more time off of your job because you're still having

(11:24):
a reliable income of sorts, even if it's a little less, right,
you still have money coming in to your name, giving
you the financial freedom to make decisions. Right, Because if
it's the man making all the money, are you going
to are you sure absolutely positive that you're going to
be still able to make decisions on how that money

(11:46):
is spent for vacations, for your needs, for your kid's needs,
for whatever, right, Because it's not just about paying the
mortgage in the food there's a lot of other things
and layers of finances where women require money for a
lot of different things right, personal and family. And so
this is the part of the gap that really bothers

(12:07):
me with this conversation because I don't see a lot
of these women being fully transparent about the fact that
they are still having an income. They're just spending less
time in their business. Now, my last bone to pick
with this whole trad wife versus modern wife thing is
that if you take a step back from how you
personally feel about either one of the two situations, you

(12:29):
can see that we're both kind of fighting for the
same thing, and that is the freedom to choose, which
is feminism at its best right, the freedom of women
to choose to do what they want to do. So
let's say you do want to give up your financial
freedom and go trad wife, go for it, do you
boo whatever makes you happy. I applaud you. But what
happens is that then you're shitting on the woman who
wants to run a business a different way, because this

(12:52):
is the alternative, and I'll talk about that next as
my proposed solution. Why can't some women pursue what they
want to pursue and the other ones pursue what they
want to pursue, and that let it just be what
it is right and so what I prefer or my
approach is the integrated perspective of these two women. This

(13:14):
is literally what my book is about. Right, This whole
rise of the trad wife, I get it. It resonates,
it's you know, it's the exhaustion from hustle culture, the
desire for more peace, the desire for more presence. It
triggers a lot of people like me because it literally sounds,
in my opinion, is the regression of our progress, of

(13:36):
our freedom. Right. But the truth is that feminism gave
us the choice, and now we've turned that choice into
pressure on ourselves and on each other. Right. But here's
the real issue, and this is where this is the
foundation of my book. This is the foundation of everything
that I believe in when it comes to entrepreneurship. This

(13:56):
is what I talk about and work on with my clients.
Here's the thing. The true issue is that the women
who are pursuing their careers and who are pursuing entrepreneurial
journeys especially have come to see many have come to see,
and some who do not see it are still practicing

(14:18):
it because of its inevitability. That business is built on
masculine energy. The reason why these two lifestyles seem incompatible
is because most women are doing business like men, not
like women. Men have a twenty four hour cycle, we
have a twenty eight day cycle. Men usually don't carry

(14:42):
as many of the responsibilities of the house we do.
Men usually don't carry as many of the responsibilities of
the children we do. And so we're trying to carry
our full load as expected and as historically and socially
given to us. We're trying to maintain that role on changed.

(15:02):
We're trying to accept that the man's role also remains unchanged,
with minimal participation in the home and inparenting and maximum
participation just in his job, business, or career, whatever that
might be. And we're also trying to take on the
role of doing business. But the issue on top of
all this is that we're trying to do it like men.

(15:24):
The masculine model is linear. It is exclusively or almost
exclusively goal obsessed. It is a constant output kind of
model because men are able to do that just because
biologically they are built on a twenty four hour cycle, right,
So they can just go and repeat every twenty four
hours and be the same and their consistency is built

(15:49):
on that twenty four hour physical biological cycle of existing. Now,
the feminine model, the way we work, the way our biology,
our mind, our energy is structured, is cyclical. We are
not built linearly. We have a twenty eight day cycle. Right.

(16:11):
This affects our energy, It changes our creativity, It changes
even our ability or desire to be with people. Right.
We are not only goal obsessed. Of course, we can
have goals that we set for ourselves, but we approach
those goals intuitively collaboratively. We work better collaboratively than men do.

(16:39):
Men are able to do a lot of the things
alone better. We can do a lot of things alone too,
but we work better collaboratively. Historically, women have been sitting
in a circle, moving the tribe forward by sharing their
talents and by sharing the load. And the same can
be true for business. If you structure your business that way,

(17:00):
we cannot have constant output because it's just not the
way our bodies and our minds and our energy is built.
So we need to have a more holistic and more
well rounded approach to how we set up our businesses. Right,
Think about it. Think about the way you run your house,
the way you manage your house. You have systems in place.

(17:21):
There's a rhythm. There's a rhythm when the mornings are faster,
but maybe the mid days are a little slower. There's
a rhythm where the afternoons feel a certain way and
the evenings feel different. You create those systems, and you
build those rhythms according to your energetic needs as well,
and you run your team aka your husband and the
kids according to that rhythm. Right what we're not doing

(17:47):
is we're not doing that for our businesses. We just
jumped into entrepreneurship and did what the boys were doing.
And what the boys are doing is fantastic, but it
works for the boys. Now, if we can bring those
feminine structures that way that we run our home with systems,
with rhythm, with care, with empathy, with foresight, with intuition,
with that cyclical element of we know that when it's

(18:09):
summer things are going to be a certain way. When
it's back to school, the cycle of the family flow
and the rhythm of the family flow changes. If we
were to structure our businesses that way, entrepreneurship would look different,
entrepreneurship would feel different, and integrating the modern woman and

(18:31):
the traditional wife the homemaker would be different, It would
be possible. This is where you can decide when you're
creating content according to your monstrual cycle. This is where
you can have intuitive launches, not just you know, twenty
four day launches that have a funnel and all this

(18:54):
other shit, right, it's not necessarily necessary for women. This
is where you're going to have a client flow that
matches your energy. This is where you're going to structure
your business to be more hands on during back to
school because now you have more free time for the kids,
and you're going to prepare for it to be more

(19:15):
hands off during summer because you want to spend more
time with the kids because they're out of school. And
these might sound like really big concepts, and it might
even trigger some of the anxiety of like, oh, but
that's my fastest That's why I make my most sales
in summer, because my businesses these seasonality is summer is
the busy time cool. Then we structure it that way
so that you can integrate both. But what we cannot

(19:38):
do is continue to attack each other for our decisions.
Everybody should be able to do what they want. That
is the literal definition ofinine. Of feminism. But number two,
stop feeling like you have to choose between the modern
women and the tried wife because you don't have to.
You don't have to if you decide to redefine excess

(20:00):
and womanhood differently. Real freedom, the real freedom, comes from
the integration of these two parts of you. They do
not exist independently. We can earn abundantly in our businesses
and nurture our homes. One does not exist at the

(20:22):
expense of the other. And what's also really beautiful and
really important is being able to shore daughters that womanhood
is not a black and white thing. It is not this,
or that womanhood is multi dimensional, and being able to

(20:43):
teach our sons that they can also be multi dimensional,
that they can be a protector and a provider in
their traditional masculine man roles, and that they can come
home home and kiss booboos and give hugs and help

(21:04):
with the dishes and put away their fucking laundry because
they are not independent, They are not separate from the
family cycle and what happens in the home when the
woman is outside creating in business, also selling and working.

(21:25):
It requires the kind of man who also has the
capacity to be inside, nurturing and homemaking alongside the woman,
because long gone are the days when the roles were
completely separated. In fact, I would even venture to say,
at least in the United States for the most part,

(21:48):
in most places, even if a woman wanted to just
full time be at home and not have a job,
most places, even in the United States, do not allow
that to be possible, because one paycheck is not enough
to sustain a family for the most part, not to

(22:11):
sustain a family in the way that most parents want
the family to be sustained, with the ability to take
a little trip here and there, with the ability to
occasionally grab a meal out right. So, even if it
was a desire, sometimes it's just not possible. And so
what we can do, especially as entrepreneurs. It might be

(22:32):
a little bit more difficult if you're in corporate, but
especially for entrepreneurs is learn to redefine success in womanhood
and accept that the freedom that we've been seeking for
the last one hundred years comes from the integration of
the modern woman and the tradwife. I talk a lot
about this and my book Sacred Strategy, and I would

(22:56):
love to share it with you when it's ready right now.
That transition of integrating the woman, the modern woman, and
the trad wife is what so many women are desiring,
and I'm offering it. Inside my book, we talk about
dismantling that concept of balance because it doesn't exist, and

(23:18):
embracing integration instead. And I walk you through that process,
utilizing my three R system which supports us in redefining
that success and in creating those systems and routines and
rhythms in our business that support our lifestyle so that
we can easily embody the wholeness of the woman we are.

(23:38):
We are the trad wife and we are the modern woman, simultaneously,
consistently always. I'm going to be talking a lot about
this moving forward. But if you want to get your
hands on Sacred and Strategic, have a book bundle that's
available to you right now. You get a signed copy
of the book once it's available. It's still under construction.
I actually have a meeting with my writing code tomorrow

(24:01):
and you receive a signed first edition of the book
with a personalized note for me. You will have a
one year subscription to Extraordinary. This is my coaching in
your pocket. This is a voice note styled podcast It's
a private podcast where I give you raw coaching, real stories,
and actionable tools that help you to lead with intuition,

(24:22):
to protect your piece, and to move your business forward
without hustle. You get a one year subscription to that,
which is valued at about seven hundred dollars. You also
will have access to a private kickoff for twenty twenty
six that I'm having implementing the three R System live.
This is likely the only time I'll be teaching the
three R System live again. I taught it twice before

(24:44):
as a group, and I'll be doing it again only
for the members of the book bundle. And you also
are going to get a VIP ticket to Move Breath, Grow,
which is Florida's number one event for women entrepreneurs. This
is a half day transformational experience where elite women business
owners like you, legacy makers like you come together to
refuel and reset. This is my biggest event every year.

(25:06):
It's happening September nineteenth of twenty twenty six, and we
actually already have our speakers lined up. We have about
half of our sponsors already lined up. I'm already working
on the seating chart, believe it or not, and It's
so much fun to know that this is actually going
to be probably our best move brief girl to dates.

(25:26):
We're going on our fourth one now for twenty twenty six.
So all of these goodies are inside the book bundle.
The link to grab the book bundle is in the

you feeling about this conversation of the modern woman versus

(25:46):
the tried wife? What feels good for you? How do
you feel about the possibility of redefining what success and
womanhood mean? How are you integrating those two parts of
you success and lovingly and abundantly. I'm really excited to
