Speaker 1 (00:00):
I just can't anymore. The the I've complained, I've moaned,
I've growned, I've griped over social media and the fact
that I believe it it's one of the most anti
social things on the planet. And today I find that
I'm gonna, I'm gonna have to unfollow. I'm gonna I'm
not gonna have a friend in real life. I mean,
(00:20):
I'll still say hey and and be social because I
like the guy. I like the guy a lot, but
he's just he is so he is so anti Trump
everything that I just I can't take it anymore. And
I find that I am putting myself in that mindset
more and more lately, where I don't mind if you
(00:43):
you don't like the guy. I don't mind if you, uh,
if we would disagree on policies and practices and procedures
and so forth, that's fine. That's America, that's that's humanity,
that's how we're supposed to be. But these people that
they just they they post the most ridiculous things just
out of their their pure hatred of the man. I
(01:04):
just I can't do it anymore. So I hope you
understand that if, uh, if you are I've got some
you know, people that are Democrat that listen to the
show and and uh and quite a few on social
media and they all know. You know, I'm a very
fair minded person and I don't mind genuine disagreement over things.
(01:26):
But those who are posting and I'll do the same,
by the way, to conservatives, the ones that are you know,
constantly the conspiracy theorist and so forth, I can't take
you either. I'm just I've I've I've reached. I have
reached my honest, my honest limit. As to the silliness
and the post today that kind of really set me
(01:48):
off was this. This is an educated man. Okay, he's
he's educated. He is a professional person. He's a good guy,
he really is. He's a good human being who's done
a lot of good things, and I like him. But
in response to this, the Michigan shooting that happened over
the weekend at the LDS church, here's what he put
(02:11):
out here today. Another murderous attack by the radical left Democrats.
Oh wait, he has a Trump T shirt and drove
his pickup with two American flags into the church. Why
do all these guys have or what do all these
guys have in common mentally ill white men with easy
(02:31):
access to assault weapons. On so many levels, this is wrong.
First of all, assault weapons, Come on, you are I'm
not gonna say what you do for a living. I'm
not gonna call you out to that point. But you know,
you know the meaning of words is important. Words mean things,
(02:54):
as Rush used to tell us. You know, damn well,
there's no such thing as an assault weapon. I don't
even know what kind of gun the guy was using, Zach.
Have you seen that published anywhere? Is there?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
I have no idea what kind of gun he was using.
But I'll tell you what. Nobody referred to that wing
nut in South Carolina as a guy with an assault knife,
did they? No?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I think the gun thing is a mute point unless
you're I honestly, unless you're going in and shooting up
something with a rocket launcher, then we could go. We
may be tamp down on.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
That, but that's a military weapon, right.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Other than that, then it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
There is no such thing as an assault rifle. First
of all, it is a media created phrase to scare people.
If it looks scary, it's an assault weapon. The thirty
odd six boat action rifle that used to kill Charlie
Kirk was not an assault weapon. Nonetheless, the man's dead,
(04:02):
you know better, and you yourself are a white guy.
This shows you how liberal this self hatred man. You
love to point out white people, and I don't get
that either, Seriously. The Trump T shirt from a picture
that he took in twenty twenty. The guy was wearing
a Trump T shirt. So you need to do whatever
(04:24):
you can to ascribe this crime to Donald Trump. And
finally to decry his display of the American flag as
some sort of red line issue. Defining his mental illness
is offensive to every patriot out there of any political persuasion.
(04:47):
This is a sad, sad post from a decent, articulate,
intelligent human being, and I just I don't understand. I really,
I seriously don't understand why. And it frustrates me because
right now it's social media where I will unfollow or unfriend.
(05:11):
But you know, as this becomes more and more of
your daily mantra, your your set of beliefs, the way
you conduct yourself, the way you speak, the way you
treat other people. As this poison seeps into your person,
it will end real friendships, and that is a foul
(05:32):
and disgusting outcome as far as I'm concerned, those people
that are so so ridiculously political, politically bitter that they
feel the need to just spew stupidity. You're going too far.
(05:55):
You are going too far. Another one of the folks again,
another person. I love, dearly decent human being, known a
lot of years. But there is nothing, nothing that you
can post about a Democrat or the liberals or the
(06:16):
left or whatever you want to call him, Nothing that
you can post on social media where he who he
loves to tell you he's a Republican, but where he wants.
It's both parties, it's both sides, you know what, Sometimes
it's okay to criticize the other side, the self hatred,
(06:38):
that that personal guilt of its both sides, that is
as annoying as you know, constantly trying to to to
trumpify every bad thing that happens. I just I'm not angry.
I'm frustrated, and I can't I can't be the only one.
(07:00):
There have to be other reasonable, thinking, thoughtful, if not thinking,
people who are feeling the same way, who are opening
up their Instagram or their Facebook or their Twitter, or whatever,
and seeing on a daily basis these things that just
(07:20):
it doesn't make you mad, It just makes you sad
because this is something maybe it's a neighbor, maybe it's
a family member. You know, here we come up on
holiday time. Again, it's right around the corner, right around
I mean, trick or treat kicks things off, and you know,
next thing you know, it's time for Thanksgiving turkey and
(07:43):
how many how many friends and family won't be gathered
around the table because they can't even control themselves on
the social media platform. Believe what you want to believe,
have the opinions that you want to have. There's nothing
wrong with that. But if you were an autopilot and uh,
(08:06):
and you'll just put anything out there that that is
negative about someone you feel negative about, regardless of what
it is or the truth to or the substance. Just
it's negative. So I'm putting it out there. You're you're
not doing yourselves and the people around you any favors
or again, maybe that's just me. A two one nine
eight eighty six. If you're if you find yourself in
(08:27):
this same situation, I'd love to know I'm not alone.
A two On w TV and as a number, have
you lost anybody's act? I mean, I know you had
that one friend I can't remember the name, but you
had gone to school with the one that you talked to. Yeah,
I mean she came at me on my Facebook page.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah she's a nice lady.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yeah she I mean, I don't dislike her, but again,
just out so so far, so bitter, so left that
anybody who knows me listens to me, is on my
social media. I'm a reasonable person. And you know those
people that come at this, this person with rabid attacks
(09:12):
of I just I don't get you.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
No, I mean, you could tell the difference between somebody
who's has a disagreement and maybe wants to talk about
things as opposed to the way they come at you.
And it's full of vitriol. They're just looking for a fight.
So there's no real point.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
And I think you know.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
You want to engage with that and troll them and
make an ass out of them.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
But why what's I really? How is that even productive?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Well, you're childish like me, but I don't go on
the I don't do Facebook very much.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah, if you think you can crush them, but what
good is it? There are other more productive things to
do with your life and to go back and forth.
And I've had people and I've just told them, look,
I do a radio show. I can't be on messenger
with you for two hours debating something. Feel free to
call me out. That's why I give the phone number
all the time. It's a radio show. Social media is
(10:03):
just ancillary. It's a it's an auxiliary product to the
on air product. But this is where we have the conversations.
And there are some people who seriously they want to
they want to get me on messenger and just keep
it going. I'm like, I don't. I've got a life
to live. You know, There's there's work to be done.
There's meals to prepare and to eat, and dishes to wash,
(10:25):
and kids to put the bed, and clients that were
waiting for me to get in paperwork and blah blah
blah blah blah. I cannot spend all of this time
on social media with you. And I feel the same
way about you know, public posts, answering somebody on play
and then they just they come back at you, and
then you try to make your point and they come
back and it's just it's pointless. It's useless. It's a
(10:46):
waste of time. And you know there's no such thing
as time. It's just a way to measure life. So
if you're wasting time, you are wasting life. And I
have better things to do. Anyway, I had to get
that off my chest because it just made me so up.
It made me so sad today to realize that I've
just I've got to start cutting people, loose nothing personal
(11:08):
for my own sanity. There are just some of you
will will have to disappear from the roles. Love you
mean it, but bye bye.
