K Carmen ninety five.

Yeah, I met Kate on Hinge. We ran out to dinner,
nice restaurant. You know, I'm pretty old school, and so
I brought her flowers, uh and you know, pulled her chair,
did all that justufka held open the door, you know.
And you know she seemed into it as well. She

(00:28):
said she really liked chivalry, you know that it wasn't
dead and uh so it was going well, but about
an hour into the date, you know, she she kind
of teared up and looked like she was gonna cry,
and she excused herself to go to the bathroom. But
she never came back. She just tested, I'm so sorry,

(00:52):
and uh and it was about a week ago.

Speaker 3 (00:55):

like on the date.

A restaurant, that's right. Yeah, gee, that's not a good look.
Something crazy happened. Started crying at the table.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Yeah, but before that, what did you say that made
her want to cry?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I honestly didn't say anything. I can't think of anything
that would have made her cry. And it was very strange.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
What if the whole thing kind of reminded her of
an X or a previous relationship or how long ago
has she been out of a relationship, like when you
think about it, like crying, like going into tears, like
something must have triggered.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Something, unless it was that time of the month and
that case then yeah, because you could just have an
emotional day.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
It could have Yeah, I really don't know, but I
mean I think she's been single for a while.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
So all right, well this.

Is a very interesting one. We're going to go ahead
and get her on the phone. We're going to see
what Kate has to say. Hopefully she remembers going on
this date. I'm sure she.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
All right, tell us how that date went with you
and Joe.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I'm kind of embarrassed about it.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Uh oh okay, So so take us her the top.
So we ran on the state and it was really nice.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
We you know, went to the nice restaurant and he
was super kind. You know, he was very chivalrous.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
He was like, you know, you know, kind of.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Old school, and I was really enjoying it.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
But the thing was is that he brought flowers, which
of course I.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Thought was really nice.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
But I was.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Allergic to the flowers. Realized that, you know, sometimes I
have like a pollen allergy. Okay, I smelled the flowers
and they were great, But like.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You know, so you had a bad hour or so
into the meal. As we're like sitting there and talking,
my eyes started watering. It seemed like I was crying, and.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I got up and went to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
And I was just so embarrassed, and just you know,
I freaked out a little bit and I ran.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Oh, damn, what it is? Out too bad?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I thought maybe Joe did something that pissed you off
or made you sad.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
No, No, he was great. But I was just so
embarrassed because he pulled out all the stops.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
To like do something really nice for me, right, and
you know, just my own personal issues sort of got
in the way.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
And so you said bad about you?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, no, no, No, she definitely felt bad. And now
I don't know if you understand how the second date
update works, but we have Joe on the phone right now. Yeah, Joe,
Joe got to listen to all of this. Joe, Now
you know why she was crying. Now you know why
she went to the bathroom and never came back.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah, she was pretty much embarrassed for herself.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah, damn, I feel really bad. I I feel really bad.
I'm sorry, Joe. I've got a little bit of like
social anxiety, and I just didn't know what to do
in every freak.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
And you know what, I bet you that's the reason
why she probably hasn't hit you back. Also, because let's
be honest, he may have just been so embarrassed by
the whole ordeal. She was like, I don't even know
how I'm gonna face it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah, yeah, I understand. I wish I wish they did,
but I get it, and I'm sorry that happened. I'm
just proud I didn't do anything to make you cry.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Right well, you did do something to make a cry,
you bother them damn flowers.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
And that's why she felt embarrassed because she didn't want
to put it on you, you know.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
But it was all your fault, Joe.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I wish you would have just stayed and like, talk
to you, talk to you about it, you know.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
But she was probably looking ugly. She probably had that
ugly face.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Like, yeah, the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, you know, the eyes were all swollen, she was
looking all bad.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I feel you.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Well, listen, now we got to know.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I mean, is this something you guys could work.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Through as long as he doesn't bring flowers? Please now
that you don't, but I'm done for another date, Okay,
And there you go. That's what I'm talking about right there.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
See, Joe, you did all the right things, man, even
bringing flowers, that's the right thing in this case.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
You didn't know that she was allergic.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Next time we could do chocolate or something.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, she did.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Now why she's allergic to chocolate?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I know? Right, hopefully she don't have any more allergy
reactions to anything.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
But all right, well, it looks like a second date
is definitely gonna happen. I'm happy that everything worked out
and it was just a little pollen allergy.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Rea.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Reach out to them, set it up, and you guys
go on date number two. All works out like that.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
