Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ck on Sports. It is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You know, I love giving back to the community, and
I love giving back to a community that helped raise
my children, raise my daughters. My daughter is working for
the Seattle Mariners right now. Go Mariners there in the
playoffs Al West champions. My other daughter plays soccer at
the University of Oregon. A couple of big games for
their team this week, playing against Purdue in Indiana. And

(00:25):
of course my other children are still inside the Clovis
North Educational Center. The Clovis North Stampede is a staple
in that community and it's a great event that I
want to invite everyone to. With that being said, Tracy
Blair is joining me right now. How you doing, Tracy,
I'm doing great.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
K We're so excited about Saturday's event, and we're so
happy that you're going to be our MC. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I can't wait to be out there. Have a good time.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
The one thing I will say is everyone that can
hear my voice that's gonna be there, expect to have
a good time.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
That's absolutely right. We have a nightfull of wonderful surprises
and great entertainment.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Well, let's go ahead and talk about that.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I know the doors for the events going to open
as early as five o'clock. You're going to have fantastic
dinner prepared for everyone. What's going to be in that
buffet dinner?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Oh my gosh. It's hosted by Love and Garlic and
there's everything from chicken kebobs, a wedge salad, meatballs, mac
and cheese, ranch style beans, and then there's a bunch
of desserts that you can purchase through our dessert auction.
So a wonderful buffet meal that will be served and.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Like I said, be prepared to have a good time.
You can also grab a bottle of wine from the
wine pool for twenty five dollars. And the whole thing
is about making money and giving back to the school.
So let's talk about that. When people donate to the
Bronco Foundation or attend the Bronco Stampede, where does that
money go.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
One percent of all the proceeds go back to the
Bronco Foundation, which supports all the different programs that all
of our students at Clovis North are involved in. So
everything from the all the sports programs, to the performing arts,
to the different clubs, all of the proceeds go back
to our students and Clovis North is a seventh grade

(02:13):
through twelfth grade campus, so it also includes Granite Ridge,
so it supports all of those students from seventh grade
all the way to the seniors.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
And we're going to have a band out there, and
this band is amazing. Talk about this band because when
they take the stage, believe me, everybody's going to have
a great time.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Yes, we have Dakota Crossing coming out. They are a
modern country western band. We had them last year and
they were a fan favorite, and they will be singing
and playing music up until the time of closing.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
What I'm excited for is to be able to get
out there and have a good time with doctor Josh Shapiro.
See these events allow you to get up close and
personal to hang out with some of the administrators. I
can't wait to see Josh on the dance floor dancing
to a little country western.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Absolutely, and we have a live auction as always, and
one of the items that can be bid on is
actually a brunch with doctor Shapiro and his wife and
up to eight other guests at Campanne's. So I'm really
excited about that offering as well. As you know, several

(03:24):
trips to Mexico.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yes, I see that the shaver Lake Cabin.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
The shaver Lake Cabin for five nights and six days,
and then also the Dodger Dugout, which is a cuge hit.
And you know you can rub elbows with celebrities and
be right behind home plate there.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You don't know what that Dodger dugout experience looks amazing like.
When I saw this, I instantly thought of my wife.
She is a Dodger fan. Even though my daughter works
for the Mariners and we love the Mariners, my wife
is a longtime Dodger fan. So when I saw this,
I know she would love that experience right there. I
may have to bid on it myself.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Oh yeah, it's a huge hit. So we're excited to
offer that this year.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
So as you can see, there's going to be live
auctions going on. Of course, there's going to be silent
auctions as well.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yes, yes, we have our Bronco Marketplace. It's a buy
me now style of silent auction, but wonderful items out
at our Bronco market Place.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
And here's what I want to tell you.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
If you want to get out, enjoy yourself with your
significant other, have a great time and at the same
time give back to your community. And I say community
because yes, this is the Bronco Stampede that I'm going
to be a part of in hosting, but it's so
much bigger than that. It doesn't matter if your children
go to the Clovis North Educational Center.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
They don't have to.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
This is really about funding education, funding athletics, funding extracurricular
activities that take place in the school in a public school.
Let everyone know if there are tables of them, if
they can still buy tickets, how would they do so?

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Absolutely, we do still have a few tables that are
available for purchase along with individual tickets, and all you
have to do is go to the Bronco Foundation website
at www dot Broncofoundation dot com, go to the Stampede
invitation and click on that and it'll take you to

(05:26):
the location where you can purchase your tickets. And you
can do it all online, either by your phone or
via your computer.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
This is going to be a great night. I'm inviting
everyone to come out, celebrate, enjoy life, give back to
the community, give back to the Bronco Foundation in Clovis North.
Thank you so much for inviting me to MC this event.
I can't wait before I let you go. Is there
anything you want to say?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
We're just we're really excited. The venue is absolutely gorgeous.
It's out at the Academy Homestead Ranch and if you
haven't added chance to see this venue, it's just the
most beautiful, serene location and just set up perfect for
our event. So we're really thankful that for the Cook
family for allowing us to have the event at that

(06:14):
location again.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
This year once again takes place this Saturday night. Give
the website if anyone wants to purchase a table or
purchase tickets one last time.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Www dot Bronco Foundation dot com.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Tracy, thank you so much for your time. Thank you
to both you and Brook for everything you do as
co chairs for the Stampede event. And I cannot wait
to hang out with you guys on Saturday night US two.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
CK, we're really looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
CK on Sports it is Fox Sports Radio. Would love
to see you at the Broncos Stampede with me this
Saturday night. Come out and enjoy

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
