Hey, dude, how's it going. I'm doing fantastic. It's great
to be on with you. Just chilling after a wonderful
weekend at the Hilliard Center, and we get Halloween weekend off,
so we're just.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Gonna happen chill a week.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
The Ice Rays are going to be resting, getting ready
for a big road trip. We got seven game road
trip coming up.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Wow, So tell us a little bit about that. What's
going on with that? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
So it kicks off in El Paso November seventh and
eighth is when we get going, and then we go
up to Dallas kind of Fort Worth area for a
couple of games, and then New Mexico Albuquerque. So we're
gonna put a lot of hours on LUs. My mom
is going to be in a bus seat, listening to music,

watching shows, hopefully reading if I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
To get a bit smarter. Wow wow. So yeah, so
you're going to be busy for the next Yeah, a
couple of cities and stuff like that. And I saw
something that came across today. What is this about Vlad
being the NAHL South Division First Star.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yeah, so if you recall a couple of weeks ago,
he was actually the second Star of the week, or
maybe it was third Star, but yeah, he had another
wonderful weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
They give out these.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
A player each each week, just recapping the week. Whoever
has the best week in their eyes gets the first Star.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
So Lad got that. He's our goaltender.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I think I've told you before, but his dad actually
played in the NHL. A really really cool connection there.
But he was great again. He's now won three straight
games against the mud Bugs.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
When he got that third Star, he made fifty one
saves against straight Port. This past weekend, he started in
both games and he beat them twice. Wow, including the
shootout victory. And Saturday was electric. I do want to
say a big thank you to all the Ice Rates fans.
That's the best crowd I've seen since I've been here
a season and some.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Change now, but it was packed.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
The atmosphere was incredible, and uh, and I think we
get that going.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I think it's actually going to get even better now
that it's going to even get colder. Yeah, so we'll
see what happens. You know, it's it just seems better
to go into a hockey game when it actually is
cold outside.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Also, yes, when you get the winter feelings, the holiday, right,
it get I think everybody gets a bit more jolly,
and it's a you can actually, you know, have a
sweatshirt on outside you go into the rink instead of
being like shorts and a T shirt.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, and yeah, that's one of the things.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
You know, we get players from all over. Let we
have players from Sweden, we have players from Canada, you
name it, and they're always like I usually ask some Mike,
what's your favorite thing about like corpus things that they go.
I can wear shorts to the rink, and I can
put on shorts after. I can wear flip flops to
the ring. That's that's not really uh really common where
they come from.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
So you're getting you're getting the week off this week
and then you're hitting on the road. When's the next
home game at the Hilliard Center? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Thanksgiving weekend. Actually, wow, it's a while, but that's okay.
I think everybody will be back in town hopefully. If
you're looking for something fun to do. You come out
to an ice raise game. So it's November twenty eighth
and twenty ninth, New Mexico's coming to town, so you
get to fill up on good turkey on a Thursday
and then boom, you got ice ray hockey Friday and Saturday.

So it's a bit of time. But yeah, look out,
I think we may be doing some fun things. We
got some things in the works, not confirmed yet, but
there could be some some cool like theme nights that
we got going cool.
