(00:00):
So welcome to the Hits Hangout. My name is JR. Or I should
call it the Hits Hangout on locationbecause we are here at the film More
in Denver, Colorado with Miss MimiWeb. Thanks for your time, Hey,
no, thank you so for yours. As I was walking in here,
I noticed your big yellow tour busoutside. God, literally, I
know it is. It is veryanyone could put it from Marlowaye, It's

(00:23):
like it's like a giant locomotive highlighter. Yeah. Yeah, I saw on
your Instagram that you made the decisionto pick this particular bus at like four
in the morning. What was goingthrough your mind? Yeah, I was
actually out with my friends. Wehad a dinner and we would all like
we all just like we just wentto the club for a little dance.
Yeah. Ad. It was reallylast minute this tour, so we were

(00:44):
like right, having to pick everythingreally quick. And my management are in
America, so they're like eight hoursbehind me, so they were still up
like working and they needed the answerreally quick, and I was like,
yeah, let's do the yellow bus. It's fine, can't worry. This
is gonna be hilarious. Then weget to it. Act to be fair,
it's works out really well because we'vehad such a laugh about it.
But when I first saw it,I was like, I really went for

(01:06):
the yellow Bus. Now I loveit, So from Killer Bus to killer
single, talk me a little bitabout a little bit about mistake. So
yeah, mistakes, like you know, obviously very different to everything else I've
released, but it's very like kindof just living in the moment and like
taking risky decisions and not being afraidto do that. I think, you

(01:26):
know, you only live once,so it's just kind of taking having fun
with it and living in the moment. So I think that was like the
whole inspiration I had behind the song. And it was just so cool as
well to do some D and Bjungle B vibe to it. And also
that's so big in the UK withDMB, so it was so cool to
dip into that and just to kindof show myself that I can do that

(01:47):
as well. Like it was just, yeah, it was so fun,
and you know, not all thesongs of D and B at all,
I think this is probably the onlyone like that, But I think it
was just so cool to kind ofdrop that first and really get fair people
to have a real like vibe oflike where it's kind of heading and how
exciting it's gonna be. Yeah,So the whole D and B thing you
described, is that something that you'vebeen wanting to experiment with for a while
or what? To be fair, like, I've always thought to myself,

(02:09):
can I do something that's just likegets people going, like really like when
I'm at festivals, I love seeingthe sets that everyone's jumping and it's just
like a pure like party vibe.So I think I always wanted to do
something like that, And then whenI got in the studio, we were
like, right, let's just reallypush the bone and see what happens.
And I wasn't expecting to come outwith anything like that, but it really

(02:31):
worked, and it was just kindof like a why not if this feels
so good, why not just dropit out there and see what it does.
No, for sure, it soundsgreat, And I like there's a
part in the music video where you'rejust in this like muscle car and you're
just zipping around the streets. Whatwas kind of the shoot like for that?
It seemed like it was you abunch of your friends. Yeah.

(02:53):
Yeah, I think we just wantedit to feel really like girl power,
like girly like us just having likespring vibes and just kind of in the
car, like flowing, going withthe flow. And then obviously we kind
of clash into like bump into theguy, and it's kind of like and
at the end we're like we've madea mistake, like we're freaking out trying
to like bury him, like itwas. It gets quite crazy, but

(03:16):
yeah, I mean yeah, whenI watch it back sometimes I'm like,
oh, we really went there.Yeah, And this is, of course
a mistake is going to be onyour upcoming album, which correct me if
I'm wrong. This is produced byRyan Tedder. Yes, what is that?
Like? That's going to be prettycool, right, Oh honestly,
it was like so cool just theway like when I met him. I
met him last summer at a festivaland I just introduced myself and four months

(03:38):
age, I thenk got cool formy management being like he wants to he
wants to work with you, andI was like what, I was like,
this can't be happening. And thenyeah, and then we literally we
wrote Mistake on the first first sessionwe had. I like that, So
of course we're here at the filmMoore and Denver Big Show tonight with Benson

(03:58):
Boone. From the clips that I'veseen of view, you're just a ball
of energy on stage, super fun, super excited. What kind of show
can our hits ninety five point sevenlisteners expect from you tonight? It's gonna
be crazy, Like we're turning theenergy up more than ever. I think.
You know, we're in such anincredible venue and literally just stepped out
again and had a little look andI just it just blows you away.

(04:20):
Yeah, just seeing it like it'sjust incredible. So yeah, we're gonna
go in and get everyone really properlywarmed up for tonight, and yeah,
hopefully everyone we leave a good footprint. So one of the bits that I
like to do on my show onthe air is I like to ask for
a random word to use and sneakin in my next break. Could you

(04:40):
challenge me with a certain word, like a random one, random one,
legend, legend. Perfect. That'smy word perfect, I like no one
else can take it. Any finalwords for the Mahai before you hit the
stage. You're gonna be out therejust soon. Just bring it on,
Let's go, let's all party let'sjump beside as we can hand, Let's

(05:00):
drink a lot of water and havea good time. Absolutely well, this
has been the hits hangout. Myname is j R. For Mimi Web.
Remember it's cool to be you.Peace Peace. Can I just tell
you my glasses were fogged up theentire time? Okay, you did it
because I thought you were steering directlyat it and at one point you're talking.
I'm like, yeah, I was, Oh my gosh, that was

(05:28):
so because I'm so warm and we'relike a leather couch. Yeah, but
oh gosh, that was awesome.I just went. I actually forgot that
I worked. I literally just wentand had to work out. Yeah,
so I was like I'm feeling that. I'm like definitely, Yeah, I
just went. What is a what'sa me Memi Web workout? Like we
do a half an hour run andwe do lots of app stuff. Okay,

(05:50):
just helps me. Like honestly workingout on tour and like even eating
well, it is so hard becauseyou're constantly eating out and it's constant like
oils in the food, like likelike everything, there's just everything in it.
So for me, having at leastthree workouts a week, is.
If I'm lucky, I can getlike that's I have to do it.

(06:11):
Otherwise I'm just so awful. It'sno doubt I won't take up any more
of your time. Thank you somuch, Thank you
