Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a very special day.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
You know what I'm saying. As American as apple pot.
Today is apple pie Day.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Forget about Hummus Day or Kruton Day, both which are today.
It's apple not day. I got two words for you,
Lyman orchard. Oh you read a lymon orchard pie. Actually,
the used to get him out our golf tournaments. Remember
that you'd walk down and they give you a pie.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
No, I didn't get the pie before my time.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
She missed the pie. Era. That was a good time.
And today is National Top Gun Day because the movie
came out on this day.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
In nineteen eighty four.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Close eighty six six. I was alive and where were you?
Probably sucking my thumb, peeing my pants?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Really, you're that young. I was one sucking your thumb.
Ice man, Wow, you were one, all right. Since we're
talking about ages, let's go birthdays. Holy moly, the big
boy in country music was born on this day. It
is the birthday of Morgan Wallen thirty two. Today day
fans of Twilight and Batman. Robert Pattinson is thirty nine.

(01:06):
Also the birthday of country legend former Hooting the blowfish Man.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
He's not former. They're still together, still hooting the blowfish Man.
This is gonna get covered in the scoop. They're on
a song with Scotty McCreary.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Darius Rucker fifty nine to day one more because he's
a legend. Happy seventy fifth birthday to Stevie Wonder. And
those are today's special days and birthdays and what Morgan
Wallen does for his birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I can tell you in the scoop.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Oh you can.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I can tell you what happened at midnight last night.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Look at that. See that's why we got her. And
she smells nice. Yeah you do. That's Amanda Joe. My
name is Damon. Time for today's was just a couple
of fascinating faction's about bees. If bees were paid minimum wage,
a jar of honey would be about one hundred and
eighty two thousand dollars. Wow. Yeah, they work around the clock,

(01:56):
and there's a lot of them. You know, they're all working.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I have a bee situation I need to bring up
later that somebody needs to help.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, the carpenter bees.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
The 're not honey bees, but they look like ginormous
bumble bees.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
And you got to find where they're going because they
will trash your Wooden. Anyway, do you remember last week
when I told you that if you get bit by
a mosquito, it's only a female mosquito. Yeah, only female
bees can sting you. Male bees or drones don't even
have a stinger. They don't give them one because they
can't be trusted with us.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
They're saying they're useless.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
No, they're drones. Get to work. Be remind me tell
you really dirty things. Somebody told me once about guys
and how worthless we are. Anyway, that's coming up later on.
He already told us a little bit about the scoop.
Is that enough? You want to? Oh bit more?

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I can tell you what Morgan was doing last night.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Plus I have clips of new music from Landy Wilson.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And Scotty McCreery featuring who.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Te the Blowfish? Yeah, wait, do you hear? It's all
coming up? What a good day? You picked the list
of Country ninety two five.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I'm on it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
We're on it on the radio. It's a morning show
Country ninety two five. My name's Damon, and here with
a scoop filled with goodness is Amanda Joe.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Brought to you by our friends Monica Ford, so t
minus three days till we get Morgan's album and Happy
Birthday Morgan today he is thirty two. Last night at
Losers in Nashville, his buddy Ernest, It's one of my
favorite parts.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I know it, which makes so good.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Ernest had an event celebrating his new record label, de
Ville Records, and his boy Morgan showed up. The crowd
sang Happy Birthday to him, and Morgan also lingered long
enough to sing flower Shops. Lady Wilson teasing new music.
Here's a little taste of somewhere over Laredo U my.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Mind every time, chase the sneeon.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Ray some lovely stuff. Yeah, she's amazing.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
She's amazing, and alluded to this a little bit earlier.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Today is Darius Rutger's fifty ninth birthday his band Hoody
and the Blowfish.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
This is not a sample.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
They actually recut this with Scotty McCreary. Scotty McCreary, we're
gonna have a world premiere on Thursday of a song
called Bottle Rockets.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Take a listen to this.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
The best that the best day. Scot Honestly, I mean
I like the song. I was like part a good
part hold man, hold my hand. It's brilliant.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
It's a good one. It's a good one. So we'll
have the world premiere of that on Thursday for you.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Okay, there you go. I told you a scoop loaded
with good they all are. You do a great job.
We're lucky to have you here. Coming up next, they
made it to Washington, all the way from our fine
infair state of Connecticut, but for a very good reason.
I will tell you whom I'm talking about and what
they're there for. Coming up in our field. Good story
at six forty here on Country ninety two five, Country

(05:06):
ninety two five. It's the morning show. That's a Manda Joe.
My name is Damon Today's I'm reluctant to call it
a feel good story, but it's a story that we
tell every year when this happens. Congratulations to the bike
riders in the Police Unity Tour who got to the
National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington yesterday, four days, three

(05:26):
hundred miles. They ride those bikes. They're there for National
Police Week, which is highlighted by adding names of fallen
officers to the National Memorial. Well among the names this
year was Trooper first Class Aaron Peltier or Peltier, depends
how you say it. Later this month will mark a
year since we lost him. But among the riders this

(05:49):
year was his wife, Dominique. She was right there last
Thursday when they took off, along with Will Garden, whose
brother Bobby went on the wall last year. And that's
why I'm wearing the hat today. It's when they sent
me seventeen eighty one hat. So not not necessarily a
feel good story, but glad they're there. They had great
weather for it, and then the whole memorial happened yesterday

(06:10):
and fortunately they get a ride back. They do not
ride the bikes back. They come back to a thankful Connecticut.
So that's today's story here at Country ninety two to five.
Coming up google Buster this morning. Got a very sweet
prize for.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
You, Billy Carrington.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
She had to think, because we've had it, we had it,
so yeah, Billy Currington tickets if you would like the
question early and why not. It's up on our instat
right now. Sometimes the stuff we talk about off the
air almost.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
But we can't put it on there.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Oh no, no, that would that would get us fired.
That we'd both be working at Big y Bus, Google
Wind Price, ragged a friends. The google Buster is on country.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
I loved working there.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
I just threw it out there because I knew you
used to work at Big yan Old myself.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, like I loved.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
It all right.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Don't get the way of the contest here, Billy Currington,
May thirty first mohegan Son. If you can figure this out.
One in eight of us say that we have considered
moving because of what. Again, one out of every eight
respondents to this poll said yeah, we thought about moving
because of what. Ninety two five Happy Tuesday?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Who's this Happy Tuesday? Doren? Three hundred dollars in tickets.
I'm guessing here. I just want to get excitement out
of you. If you win, it is Billy Carrington, they
will be free if you can tell me, Doreen.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
One in eight of us say we've considered moving because
of what reason our neighbors. I bet it's higher than that,
sister that that was my guest. That's a good answer,
but it is not right, Doreen. No, no, no, don't
be upset with yourself. It's not your fault. You got
the wrong answer. You can always call us back because
it's America. And here's a clue from Amanda Joe.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?
Can you hear me now?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
She's not talking to me, she's talking to you. That
was the clue eight six oh two four nine ninety
two five, Oh free Billy Carrington tickets from the Country
ninety two five Morning Show Country ninety two five. Who
the Heck's this is? Sarah? Where you live, Sarah, Ansonia? Oh,
beautiful town. You're doing well for yourself, Sarah, this is glorious.
Let's make it even better by getting you in to

(08:23):
see Billy Currington. Apparently one in eight of people in
the survey said they have actually considered moving because of something.
We talked to Doreena first, she said our neighbors. Good
guess not right. Here's the clue.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
What do you say? Sarah from ansoniae? Even though it's
an old reference, it's everybody you'll remember that commercial. And
now May thirty first, Mohegan's son, you will be there
to see Billy Currington for free. Awesome. It is awesome. Ironically,

(09:00):
your cell phone service is kind of wonky. Summing put
you on hold and we'll be right.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
I don't think that's an old reference because we still
do that.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
No, no, no, I'm just saying, not an active commercial anymore.
But that's what you do when you're talking to somebody.
Can you hear me? How about now? How about now?
Listen today? Special days and a big, big birthday. We
need to talk about it next here on the Country
ninety two to five Morning show. Don't Worry More, Billy
Carrington take us tomorrow Morning show. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You

(09:33):
were crying over Dane Chesney last week? You get a
cry for Mortar wall and if we start talking about
Mortar wallen memory since it's his birthday. No Pittsfield, Massachusetts
and the sandwich, no you, I mean she's going through memories.
You've got some awesome stuff you're putting together.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
I remember when he came around on a radio tour.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Gosh, I was.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Just in Springfield, so that must have been twenty I
don't even know. I don't even know, maybe twenty sixteen,
twenty seventeen. But what I actually just found, and this
is what I'm going to put up video of the
last time I saw him do my favorite song more
than my hometown and the first time because I was
actually in the room when him and Hardy played it
for the first time ever for a bunch of radio people.

(10:17):
So it was right before he did a show at
the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, and we're all in
a room together and they're like, hey, we just wrote
this a couple of days ago, and it's him and
Hardy on guitar.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
So writeing the side by.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Side of that, and then Fenway from twenty twenty two, No,
that was twenty three.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
What years that.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
I don't know. We're writing this down.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
It's insane.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
I do remember when I had first gotten to this station,
a record represented was in here and he's like, come
on in here, I want you to hear something, and
so it was it was this song with fgl and
this guy and it's like, this is Grizzy's a great song,
and it was. Morgan Wallen was.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
First number one as an artist, but his first number
one single was Jason Aldan's You.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Make It Easy.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
He wrote that see there you go Waltham, and he's
also the first first country artist who ever served me,
served you. I watched It's nice to make you served
do you appreciate your support on radio? I'm like, oh,
