Leading Our Children to Christ

In a world filled with distractions, ambitions, and fleeting priorities, one truth stands eternal: nothing matters more than leading our children to Jesus Christ. As parents, we carry countless responsibilities—providing food, shelter, education, and love. But above all these, our greatest calling is spiritual. If we raise our children with success in every earthly pursuit but fail to guide them to the Savior, we’ve missed the most important purpose of parenting. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This is not a suggestion—it is a directive to make Him known to our children from their earliest days. Our homes should be filled with His Word, our lives marked by His presence, and our parenting guided by His truth. Sports, academics, and friendships may shape their experience, but only Christ shapes their eternity. Parents must intentionally sow the gospel into daily life—through prayer, Scripture reading, and a personal example of faith. Everything else fades; salvation is forever.
