Speaker 1 (00:05):
John for Aja in the morning Quickie on naety a Rock,
brought to you by Barjoe Ford. Did a bear chance
rain this afternoon throughout the day that it's been over
the past few days. About a fifty chance rain coming down,
which we're about to get in the dry season. I
have eighty six degrees, a little breezy, getting nicer. Ag Jay,
good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah, as long as that humidity comes down, we good friends. Hey,
you know what else is good? The Southwest Florida Eagle
Camp is back. It started yesterday and it is begun
streaming the live feed of the famous pair M fifteen
and F twenty three, which now you can check in
on those two birds as they begin their nesting season.
And this is the third season for M fifteen and

(00:45):
F twenty three. It was previously M fifteen and Harriet,
but Harriet disappeared a while back, and then these two
got together and uh, you know, last season they laid
a couple of eggs, but it was tragic as their
eglitz E twenty four and twenty five ended up passing
from the bird flu.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
It's kind of crazy, man. I love watching those cameras
and matter of fact, we're crossing our fingers over our neighborhood.
We've got an eagle that's been hanging out at a tree.
Looks like he might be trying to pick out a roost,
which would be amazing, but yeah, I'm a bird nerd.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
We'd have to get a crash can for that. Yeah,
that would be incredible. I feel you there, man. I
love like those bird feeders that have like the cameras
in them. I could just sit there and watch that
for hours, which, by the way, if you're a fan
of watching it, it has been an operation for fourteen years.
Great to see it back once again. Enjoy although sad
news and the animal world. But what an incredible, amazing,
legendary life she'd lived. Doctor Jane Goodel Goodall she passed away,

(01:43):
iconic chimp researcher the age of ninety one. She was
actually in California as part of a speaking tour and
passed passed away. But needless to say, I mean she
started her research on chimpanzees in the wild in nineteen
sixty and through observation, was able to prove their primemates
display behave years similar to humans.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
She lived with them, worked with them on sign language.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I mentioned the sign language earlier, and I was just
wondering how in depth they got with a sign language,
because I'm a love to see her, you know, teach
the middle finger to the chimp. There was a video.
We don't know if it was real or not. I
was just checking out who knows ai, But couldn't be
too hard to teach them that one there in traffic.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Oh yeah, she passed in natural causes, but definitely raising
the horns up for her. Amazing woman. Thank you doctor
Jane for doing you for being you. Hey Pod, if
you're a fan of the band, they're now going to
be sharing a new cover of the Beatles classic Don't
let Me Down. I know I haven't heard it yet.
I'm curious to know how POD's spin on this.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I can hear it in my head. Yeah, that could
be obviously a little bit more POD issue.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, but so we're gonna have to hunt that one down.
They haven't shared it to radio, but it is one
that they are sharing with their fans. Why because they
adored the Beatles and their influence on their own music.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Their fans adore them. I mean, that's a rabid fan
group right there. Man.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Fantastic group right there. Hey, Chee Chee's Restaurants are back
with a grand reopening of their flagship store in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Happened to be my first taste of the hospitality industry
and my last taste of the hospitality industry. That's fine.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
How long did you work there?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I was there for a month. I was there for
a month, and I started looking at I was a
bus boy, and I started trying to memorize the menu.
I was like, this menu is huge. I don't think
a matter of fact, I'm out.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yeah, that's one of those industries you know right away
because in high school too, I had like two forays
between ice cream shop right away. The woman was insane.
So I decided, nope, done after day one. But the
second place was Babes Hot Dogs, and after working there
for a bottom month two, I was like, yep, nope,
I'm out on this lifeguarding and teaching gymnastics. Here I come.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I'm surprised that they're coming back, opening up like a
chain Mexican restaurant right now. It's got to be tough
because there's so many good mom and pops out there.
I have a few of my neighbor I'm sure you
do as well. They're all over the Bay areas really
good ones. But their menu was really good. I gotta
say it was pretty big. It was like almost like
the cheese factory type of menu, except it was che cheese.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I don't think I ever ate of the chee cheese,
to be honest with you, but yeah, no, I know
they were what they had chimmy changas, chacos. If they
have chiros and good churros, I'm totally and I'm.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
A sucker for a tro Their short ribs were good,
and they also had seafood chimmy changas which were really
good too. So yeah, and their margeritas, I mean, what
can you say?

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Did they have queso?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Great caeso?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Was it the white kind?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
They have the white kine? I mean, if you go
just for the margarita, to try the caso, and you
might may fall in love. Hopefully there's one going to
be opening up in our area.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Who knows, maybe they'll be teaming up with one of
those alarm clock companies and get the smell of some
peso coming through or chimmy chimmy changa's cooking.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
I'd wake up to that.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, right, maybe you wake up to the sound of this.
A treasure hunters recently discovered over a thousand gold and
silver coins from a famed seventeen fifteen Spanish treasure fleet
over near Vero Beach. And guess what now, A different
treasure hunter in Newport, Richie, Captain Joe, claims that he's
found a shipwreck from that same fleet, potentially worth over

(05:13):
one hundred and fifty million. Where's it at? He thinks
it's buried near the Sunshine sky Way Bridge. He believes
this ship was one of the two that sailed into
a hurricane and headed north away from the rest of
the fleet, but got caught up and sank right there.
He says he's got ground penetrating radar images confirming the
ship is several feet under the sand. But that site

(05:35):
very dangerous, turbulent area over the area. Yeah, I mean
it's right there in the shipping channel. Lots of sharks
all over the place. He does plan to return, and
he's found other historical relics in Tampa Bay area, and
it says, you know, his true passion for this true
reward is uncovering Florida's lost history. Says, quote unquote, treasure
is more about history and families and people that had

(05:58):
hardships that were here.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Which, by the way, if you ever find anythings, the
state of Florida is entitled to twenty percent of any
treasure found in state waters for museum display. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
That means you can skim up a little bit off
the top, then say here's your twenty percent. Keep there
the rest right there. All right, that's what we got
there for.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Please crust me on it. I got to go to
the bathrooms. This is all I have. Here's your twenty percent, Florida.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
