Speaker 1 (00:00):
Is time for three Mississippi Trivia?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Yes, it's a new feature we're debuting here on the
Crash and a J program where we're each going to
take turns throughout the show auditioning out of trivia question
and essentially you get three Mississippi to answer it, and
if it goes unsolved, well we'll play it again coming
up in the nine o'clock hour.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
All right, and uh, we all have like you know,
we always kind of look for a theme for the question.
And it's National Buy and Instrument Day? Is that?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
On the day?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah, Musical Buy a Musical Instrument Day, something along those lines.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
So that's the origin of my question. Here a right,
and we're gonna flip a coin. Who gets the first
to stab at this question? Good question?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Well what's the what? Wait? Wait a minute, he's trying
to throw keys? How does that one work?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
You have no point? All right, I'm gonna sign aja
this one, all right? Oh, okay, you get the first
shot at it? All right? She misses. It's on the
producer X here. All right? My question? Is the star
a musical instrument?

Speaker 5 (01:05):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
The sitar musical instrument? I was originated in what country? Won? Right?
The star it's originated in what country? AJ?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
No multiple choice on that one. I'm gonna go with
India on this one.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
India. If you went with India, you were correct. There
you go, nice, Here you go. I was gonna guess Pakistan, Pakistan.
There you go. All right, So question number one in
the books. We got two more questions coming up, one
from AJ, one from producer rants. Remember at nine thirty

(01:57):
one of these could pop up for those second level
see tickets to check out Metallica.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And this is to both nights. You're right there in
the lower bowl. I mean you cannot get any closer. Well,
you know, maybe if you're standing on the floor, but
still seat second row, badass.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
We'll get to it.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Coming up.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Good morning, we're crashing AJ on ninety eight Rock.

Speaker 6 (02:15):
When you need a nugget, a nugget of inspiration, this
is your daily nugget with Crash and AJ.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
On ninety eight Rock. Seeking it somehow, some way, take
this daily nugget here on the twenty second of May,
into your Day's a quote Live to Win, Dare to Fail,

(02:46):
a quote from James Headfield of arguably the biggest rock
bands in the world, Metallica Live to win? What does
that mean? To win? There to fail? Hey, the first part,

(03:06):
I don't know that everybody does. Live to win. Actually
it'd be the easy go to right. Live to win
sounds really good. The dare to fail parts, the one
that kind of people get hung up on a little bit.
If you're scared to fail, give me a little bit
harder to win. You already lost categories right there.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I mean from failing, you can learn so much. You
gain so much more insight.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
You be like you can spit ball. You know you
can spit ball stuff in life. It's fine if you fail.
It's not a big deal. Live to win there to fail.
Fail a few times, you're gonna win a few times.

Speaker 7 (03:46):
M hm.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Sometimes when you fail, you win.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
It's a quote from James Headfield. There's all kinds of
storylines behind that one liner right there for him. Take
that into your day, my friends, it's your daily nugget.
Good morning. Got two more three Mississippi trivia questions coming
up in the seven o'clock hour from AJ and producer X,
So keep track of these. Nine thirty Metallica second row
seating up for grabs, and then we got other spots too.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
A right yeah, and of course eight oh five your
chance to play Florida or not Florida.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Well, we're going to showcase something wild.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
You have to guess if it happened here or not
for your chance to win a four pack a lot
of adventures tickets.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Right of course, one thousand dollars last week of spring
to chin Cash nine ten. So make sure you enter
those keywords at ninety eight Rock dot com wait for
the one thousand dollars phone call. Got some trending stories
coming up. Pop a roach right now on ninety eight Rocky,
ma'am tying for.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
In the morning quickie on ninety eight Rock brought you
by Barjo Ford.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
A little cooler today, like two degrees cooler eighty eight.
It's the high along the coast. You got ninety plus
again inland and then uh, who knows it. Maybe even
a pop up shower had a chance of it yesterday,
But it looks like down the three days down the
road looks like increasing chances of showers. As we approached
June first, a jay, good morning, Oh, good.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Morning, and happy best season. Friends.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Hey, I don't know if you heard, but we're now
one step closer to Florida. Reinstating a black bear hunt,
which it hasn't been around for nearly a decade now
see The Florida Fish and Whilelife Conservation Commission held a
meeting in O'calla yesterday in which more than one hundred
and seventy people voiced their opinions on the proposed punt hunt,
and which commissioners ended up granting preliminary approval for rules

(05:24):
that could have this hunt starting as early as this December. Now,
if finalized in August, the bear hunt would occur annually
from October through December. They say this year's plan calls
for a start in early December and includes a cap
of one hundred and eighty seven bears.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
So total one hundred and eighty seven bears. Yep.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Now here's how it would work.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Tags would be distributed via a lottery and they are
limited to four hunting zones across the state. However, these
hunts would also allow hunting with dogs, the use of
baiting stations, and access to private land. Now, it's not
a dundee. A final decision is still yet to be made,

(06:02):
and that'll be happening at the FWC meeting in August.
They haven't released the date for that just yet.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
And last time this happened, it was they kind of
underestimated how many bears that could be taken down within
a few days. I believe it was like three hundred
plus if I'm not mistaken, with within about three days.
So I'm against it. I'm honestly, I'm against it because
don't get me wrong on guns, and I would eat
that meat. I mean, I would do whatever the case

(06:29):
may be. But if you see the geographical greenways of
where bears migrate, it's like shooting fish in a bucket. Man. Yeah,
it is.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
There's not a lot of area for that.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I couldn't agree more with you on this one, crash,
but that's just my personal opinion. But if you're free
to voice ears too, you can hit us up here
in studio at eight hundred and seven three seven double
oh ninety eight, or in the talkback feature on the
free iHeartRadio app. So a new documentary is known development
about get this Judas Priest and guess who's adding another
title to his resume, The one and only Tom Morello

(07:02):
who's going to be code directing it. It's called The
Ballad of Judas Priest, which is going to tell the
story from their early seventies origin into how they're still
playing packed houses to today.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
That it's probably a really I mean, it's got to
be a story that's really progressed over the years, knowing this,
knowing what I know about the story of Judas Priest.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, I mean, over five decades worth of material with
these guys which the band is signed off.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
They're excited and they're summoning their.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Congregation to officially witness this live uncensored, uh, you know,
experience in a never before seen way. So no date
just yet when we can expect it. But it's pretty cool,
I mean, and shout out to Tom Morello. He's adding
all sorts of titles to his resume right now.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Is brilliant, articulate, very smart. I think Harvard grad up,
I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah, and he's also what going to be the musical
director for Ozzie's final show back to the Beginning.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
When is that July fifth over in England? So kudos
to that.

Speaker 8 (07:55):
You think he pops up in the movie somewhere who knows,
just randomly extra this is the guitar and I'll just
play them.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So when Jeremy Runner had his snowplow accident in twenty
twenty three. He says he died for a few minutes,
and at that time he did not want to come back. Quote,
it is the most exhilarating piece you could ever feel.
You don't see anything but what's in your mind's eye,
like you're the atoms of who you are, the DNA,
your spirit. It's the highest adrenaline rush. But the piece

(08:26):
that comes with it, it's magnificent. It's so magical. And
I didn't want to come back. I remember, and I
was brought back and I was so peeved off. I
came back and I'm like, ah, end quot.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Anybody that's ever been close to death may have something
that you know, may have experienced that.

Speaker 8 (08:44):
Right after reading that, I'm like, Okay, here comes the
news TikTok trend.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Let's die for a few minutes now.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Hi, which we do have a TikTok trend on the way.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
But he also did say though, how that experience has
changed how he lives. He says, rather than thing into
stocks or bonds, he's not investing into crypto or bitcoin,
none of that stuff. His investment now into love and
to sharing relationships that he experiences with love, because that's
the only thing that you can take with you.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I can not exactly like him, but I can definitely
relate to being close to death and that feeling that
is too We don't have enough time to explain that
right now.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Hey, if you're feeling stressed out, guess what.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
A new study shows that pizza is the secret to
lifting our spirits and calling those frazzled nerves. New study
from University of East Anglia and England finds that just
the whift, taking a big whiff of some freshly big
pizza can quote unquote significantly ease stress and boost your mood.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I smell pizza right now after reading that for some reason,
that's weird. I'm like, all of a sudden, smell the
best pizza right now? Does it say anything about being aroused?
After you see?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
It has a whole other story? Right?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
So you study that part.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
And finally, there's a woman on TikTok going viral for
how the use of your water how you could use
your water.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Tank on the back of your toilet as well. Take
a listen.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Fill with beautiful flowers. You want to layer them different lengths.

Speaker 9 (10:14):
This gets fresh water every flush it's gonna smell so great.
I grab a mixture of them because I wanted a
fun color and it's not going to affect the flushing mechanism,
and your guests are going to go.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
What in the world.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Your guests come in, they.

Speaker 9 (10:28):
Use the bathroom, it's pretty, and then they just flush it.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Is it gonna work?

Speaker 4 (10:32):
The person is.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
A lot of a lot of good looking flowers there
in that one. I'm not so sure.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
I'm struggling with the fact that part of me loves
this right now.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Smell like doukie and flowers mixed together.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Nothing like the feeling of the tickle of the flower
on the back of your neck.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Is you're a toilet, I'm still going to get my
favorite smell of live style in there with with the flowers.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Do you start adding like a tomato plant in there
in case you get hungry?

Speaker 1 (10:58):
How's that good tomatoes? There's a wail?

Speaker 5 (11:02):
All right?

Speaker 1 (11:02):

moments ago, we were talking to uh, We're talking to
aj about the bear hunt in the morning, Quickie, asking
you guys to you know, give us your two cents.
What do you think about this?

Speaker 2 (11:17):
What was the proposed So we basically the Florida Fishing
While at Conservation held a meeting yesterday in which they
were granted preliminary approval for rules that could see us
reinstating a black bear hunt here in Florida.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
All right, and so people have been talking about it
on the talkback feature here.

Speaker 10 (11:33):
Yeah, I was calling in about that bear hunt that's
supposed to take place later this year. Yep, totally against it.
They need to leave those bears alone. It's wrong on
so many levels.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I'm kind of interested. I see what kind of dynamics
and kind of answers you get from people when you
ask about this, because if you asked me, I think
it's wrong. Now, what I eat bear meat from it? Yeah?
I would, actually I tried or whatever however they want
to consume and use the bear. Yeah, but I'm not
agreeing with this particular way to do it. But I

(12:08):
think that give me a bunch of mixed opinions in
this whul.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Tane Oh for sure.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
For sure, everybody's got an opinion of this.

They're trying to pinpoint, trying to get some plans going
for it, and you guys are chiming in about the
bear hunt and on the free iHeart Radio app right here,

(13:00):
bear hunt, we need. What we need to do is
stop developing on land. Just because if I'm to space
and land doesn't mean we need to developed on it.
You know, Steve Erwin would be very disappointed in us
right now. Leave the bears alone.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
This is Derek America because this whole thing with hunting
black bears, we built our home on their home. You know,
and people get surprised and mad when these animals infringe
on our property because our property used to be their home.
I say, strength them and relocate them if they're that
much of a nuisance.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
But rock on Idro, I didn't know beer was an
antire depressant. I mean that is my favorite food. All right,
great news, thanks earlier.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Pizza was a country stress and boost your moods according
to science.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
And he mean beer or bear on that bear? I know, right,
you can clarify that in the next talk back, will you.
All right, we'll rest out here a little bit because
he just got her a trivia question coming up here,
just a little.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Bit a right, yeah, Which is gonna have to do
with musical instruments on this National Bio Musical Instrument Day.

The old you first? Are a big man? I got?
I mean I gotta guess the drum. I mean there's
gotta be the drum. Right, is the drum the oldest instrument?

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Good guess but incorrect?

Speaker 8 (15:30):
Oh damn, oh my god. See I'm gonna go off
the wall xylophone. I'm going straight to the those are.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
So fun, underrated, underutilized.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
I can see a caveman just figuring it out.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Incorrect on that one, but you did have the Uh, well,
should I give it the a?

Speaker 11 (15:50):
I actually know we're gonna hang on to it's unsolved. Yeah, okay,
that's until maybe they'll come up at nine thirty. Maybe
we'll give out. If it's whatever the case, maybe will
give out. The answer went the Crash test coming up
man unsolved. I thought it was drum either that or
trump you figure drum? Yeah yeah, trum. Right, all right, well.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
There you go, unsolved. Great question.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Ajay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Third question coming from producer X later in the show,
right here on Naughty a Rock. Hi, I'm David Moss
from the Mosque stt on Naughty a Rock, Tampa Bay's
rock station, Crash and a J Free on the iHeartRadio app.
And we've been trying something out of the past couple
of weeks. It's called three Mississippi Trivia. We all had
get to ask trivia questions. They're all somehow related to
the day and it could be worth some second Roceding

(16:30):
to Metallica a little later on the show, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Right, if you missed it, Crash busted out the first
one at six oh five. I had one earlier this hour,
and now producer Rex gets to take a stab.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, which off the mic.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
We just flipped a coin, Crash an I to see
who would get the chance at answering first.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
I won with heads on the coin flip.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Okay, there we go. It's all official now and this
will be available by the way on our socials in
case you're just now paying attention. Yeah, all right, let's
go ahead, pull down the music and get ready for
the drama here, all right, producer Rex.

Speaker 8 (16:57):
All right, guys, so mine is Metallica theme. Du we're
even way Metallica?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Okay, it makes sense.

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Yeah, So for my three Mississippi trivia question, when was
Metallica's first performance?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
You can give me date in year? How about year?

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Go ahead, I could go a year.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
What year?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
I'm gonna go with nineteen eighty two on this one.
They formed in nineteen eighty one. I want to say
it was October ly fall, so I'm gonna say maybe
it was January so earlier.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Maybe they took some time.

Speaker 8 (17:37):
She's I mean you're close. You're not right, but you're close.
Oh really, I mean she got the year right, Oh,
she got the right right. Okay, thirteen eighty two was
their first performance.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
That is solved.

Speaker 8 (17:46):
Then the date is in question, March fourteenth. Okay, how's
that tough trivia question?

Speaker 1 (17:51):
By the way, Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten that one
a Jay, So congratulations all the time. All right, So, uh,
we've got two solid questions, one unsolved questions. Make sure
you're paying attention at nine to thirty, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah, second road tickets upward grabs as we get too
closer to figuring out what went down with the Rays
and the Astros yesterday.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
And let's just say it was.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
A hot one and not just because of the attempts
we'll get to it.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Kept up inside your sportscag and Christen aj A Nuttia.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
Rock Crashing aj are tapping into the sports k all
the local and national sports headlines on naety eight rock.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
All right, somebody trending?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Oh is it now? In case you missed it.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
About a week or so ago, we found out that
former Ray Kevin Longoria ad Longoria is going to be
inducted or he's going to be assigned to a one
day contract for the Rays and retire array officially, you know,
legendary career.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Awesome to see him go down as a Ray. But
that's not all.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yesterday they also announced the plans to induct him into
the Ray's Hall of Fame. Now that one's not going
to happen this year because they wanted to go down
next year at the trop They wanted to be so
the Tropicana field.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Right makes sense the mayor of the trop Now, is
there anybody else in the Rays Hall of Fame?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yes, he is going to become the sixth member of
the Rays Hall, which launched in twenty twenty three. You've
already got former players Wade Boggs, Carl Crawford, Fred McGriff
as well as Don Zimmer and radio broadcaster Dave will
a trusty piece. But it looks like this is going
to be going down sometime next year. And they also
planned to you know, include it on television as well

(19:30):
as have an all fan giveaway and all sorts of
special dedications sometime next year with it as well.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
That is cool man, Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
It was a hot one at Steinbreder yesterday. One forty
first pitch she had what temperatures in the nineties And
not only were they hot, but some are the bats.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Shout out to Yandi when two.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
For five with three are RBIs and one of four
home runs in which the Rays ended up beating the
Astros taken the series.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
We won yesterday eight to four.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Hear that we won a series at home. Guys, we
want a series at home.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
That's former ray esak Parades also homered twice yesterday, drove
in a few runs for Houston, but you know what,
shout out to her current Raise Curtis Mead, as well
as Josh Lowe and Brandon Law who also knocked him
out the park. Even coach Cash was feeling heated and
he got knocked out the park two via an injection.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
A blinky argument for Kevin Cash and us stas walking
back onto the field. Oh there you go, and Kevin's
thrown out for the first time in this season, the
first ejection of the year. The Raise manager Kevin Cash,
he got his money's worth on that one. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
It all happened when Houston's Diz was at the plate
with two outs, two strikes. He sworn at an inside
pitch that hit either his hand or the bat and
it looked like the race. First base umpire signaled strike
Three's confusing and Cash.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Thought was that was it? That was the end of
the inning.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
But the home print home plate up ruled it a
hit by the pitch, So hence why the the argument
unfolded the cash. He went to the dugout and even
came back yelling going back for more.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
So he may be suspended, by the way.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
We will find out as.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
One ejection and you're hitting suspending.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
It was his first of the season, nineteenth in his
eleven seasons as manager.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
I'm very encouraged about Josh Low by the way, till
as well. You know, all the hood runs are good,
but getting him hot would be very very clutch right now, and.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I love seeing it between him and Brandon lau two
both getting hot right now.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Hey, speaking a.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Hont did you see the Pacers versus Nicks last night?
It was one hell of a game, crazy pit hyrees.
Halliburton sent the game into overtime with this, listen to
the win.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
They'll take it.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
He'll backpedal of three him.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
All right, you can't see this, yeah, but that was
for the win. He backed up to the three point
line to hit the shot. The ball hits the rim
and bounces a good twenty feet up top and then
bounces right in the rim. It was the craziest winning
shot I've seen in a long long time from a
player that the players are calling overrated.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
By the way, so much krek KOs that went on
with that, and course with the jump shot earlier. But
of course the Pacers did win one thirty eight or
I'm sorry, yeah, one thirty eight to one at thirty
five in Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, which
the Eastern Conference Finals for the NHL continued tonight. Huh
Panthers taking on the Hurricanes. Meanwhile, in NBA, you got

(22:22):
the Timberwolves at the Oklahoma City Thunder eight thirty on ESPN.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
There we go, So we got you and you're gonna
make a play for yourself in Florida, not Florida. You
do that coming up in a couple songs.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yeah, four a pack of tickets Venture Island up for
grabs on Christian Asia.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
That yeah, rock, good morning.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
This is where she gets weird.

Speaker 9 (22:42):
Man.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's weird man.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
This could be your neighbor, bro or your cousin in Nebraska.
This is Florida or non Florida.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
With crash row, you're keeping track. We had a mule
cat earlier this week.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Yep, all right, not Florida.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
That was not Florida. Yesterday we had somebody in California.
I believe it was the forking. The forking the attempted forking.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Ptempted for king, thankfully did not happen.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Where are we today? I believe we've got Bill on
the line where we call it from.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Bill Nice, Welcome Bill. So have you ever wondered what
happens when jackass meets breaking bad?

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Well, I'm sure as hell have n't.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
But here we are all the time.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Today's story begins with our superstar, a twenty nine year
old man who had to be rescued the other day
after we jumped off a bridge.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Now somebody saw it. They called it in.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
The fireboat, made contact and gave him a life jacket.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
I mean the automatically think why would he do that?
I mean, was he must be sad? I mean, it's
going on his life?

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, Well, the coastguard scrambled to pick him up. Paramedics
took him to the hospital, and that's when the cops
started talking to him, wondering that same thing. They thought
maybe he was, you know, trying to end things, but
it turns out he wasn't, and well he might have
been higher than the bridge. He told them that he
jumped off the bridge because well, somebody dared him to.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
He was also doing.

Speaker 8 (24:11):
Math ah and then somebody was the dragon he was chasing.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah, I don't know about that, but they didn't treat
him for minor injuries. He's gonna be okay, no word
about the dragon producer dragon.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
All right, Man, that was not a lot of people's
bingle card right there. All right. But here we are, Bill,
and this is where you guess whether it's Florida or
not Florida. What are you thinking. I'm gonna say not.
I'm going to say not Florida.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Nice Bill, Congratulations, you got that right. Actually happened over
in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Not right.

Speaker 8 (24:48):
Yes, I'm so sorry, but but somebody dared me to
do this.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
When they become the next state that none of that
will happen right there, right one.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Thanks for that, Bill, You got a four pack of tick.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
It's to experience Aventure Island, which have you heard about
acting Aqua Glow happening select days June thirteenth through August ninth. Nice,
where it's going to be night time parties with high
energy dance parties, dazzling laser displays and glowing experiences.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
That light up the park like never before. With what
radio station in the rocks to Bay.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Ninety eight Rocks to Bay. Would you like to check
out Metallica's seventy two tour both shows from the second
row Laarer Ball. I'm gonna make that possible this morning,
all right, pay attention to the show. Check our socials.
That's key as well, and coming up at nine thirty,
we're gonna ask you a question. Somebody's gonna end up
with those tickets, so make sure you I was locked

(25:40):

make that ninety eight Rocks, so your thumb away from
making those plays for yourself, all right. Chili Pepper's right
now as we go commercial free other side on ninety
eight Rock, Thank you, ma'am.

Speaker 6 (25:54):
I'm timing for heya in the morning quickie on ninety
eight Rock.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Brought to you by bartow Ford. Right, looking like I've
eighty eight along the coasts, pretty pleasant and temperatures rising
as you get inland there come over the next few
days here, chances of the afternoon showers do increase throughout
the course of the next few days here. Monday, Tuesday,
and Wednesday look like they could be wet Wednesday day,
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Hey, good morning, Crash and Florida wildlife officials have taken
a major step towards reinstating a black bear hunt that
hasn't been around for nearly a decade now.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
Florida Fish and Wildlife.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Conservation Commission held a meeting yesterday in Okalla and which
more than one hundred and seventy people voiced their opinions
on their proposed time and guess what. Despite it all,
the commissioners did grant preliminary approval for rules that could
see the hunt beginning as early as.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
December, setting up the framework for this.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Yeah which, if it is finalized, the bear hunt would
occur annually from October through December, and it calls for
a start in early December and includes a cap of
one hundred and eighty seven bears. They say tags would
be distributed via a lottery and would be limited to
four hunting zones across the state, with rules that would
allow hunting with dogs, use of baiting stations, even access

(27:08):
to private land.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
They didn't have a cap. Last time they did this,
I could remember that. I remember they sold tags, oversold
the tags. There was like three hundred plus bears killed,
ran a record time, and they stopped it because they
saw wherever it was going. But yeah, I want to
throw these numbers at you real quick. How many pythons
do you think are in the state of Florida?

Speaker 4 (27:29):
Gajillions?

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Estimated thirty thousand pythons, all right, as far as deer
five hundred thousand deer? Wow? All right? Uh huh bore,
wild bore, five hundred thousand wild boar. Bear according to
this latest.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Report here, thirty eight hundred.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, the four thousand and fifties. Not too far off
from that number right there, which is I mean, come on,
that's kind of telling, right there, guys, it's kind of telling.
And don't got me wrong. Someone mentioned bear meat balls
and stuff like that earlier, and I would try those.
But bear hunt here in Florida, No, I don't. Just
look at the geographic spects. Man. It's it's like shooting
fish in.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
A bucket exactly, you know.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
And one of the reasons why they're bringing up about
maybe coming back is because they're saying the encounters between
bears and residents. But hello, where the bears have to go.
We're building up on all their land, you know. That's
why we're seeing them more, you know, wandering in residential areas.
It's not like they know, Okay, there's a house, there's
a come on, we took their homes. So that I'm
not I'm not a fan for it my personal opinion.

(28:30):
But the final decision is expected an FWC meeting in August.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
A date has not yet been set for that meeting.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
It's a fine line. In certain circles. You'll see some
people say, you know, you know, they're not for it,
and then you've got some people saying, you know, population control,
But those numbers, I just throw it through at you.
What what's there's not there's no equal there's no kind
of rhyme or reason for this. When you talk about
five hundred thousand deer, five hundred thousand moore, one point
seven million alligators, thirty thousand jees, that's cut it, all

(28:59):
living the same lake. Yeah, So I hope that they
really do a lot of thinking before they pull trigger
on this.

Speaker 7 (29:05):
Man.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
They'll put a ten on that all right.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Hey, if you've ever wanted to be a part of
the ship Rock cruise, guess what They announced The artist
for the twenty twenty sixth to one going down from
Miami to the Bahamas. January twenty fifth, of next year,
and it's gonna feature Hailstorm, Motionless and White and not Loose.
Other bands also include Wage War, a Wall Nation, and
Suicidal Tendencies, just to name a few, about twenty five

(29:29):
acts in total, which they say, Hailstorm gonna perform a
special show on the final night before it leaves Nasa Bahamas.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
By the way, made out of medal.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Yeah, and I've also medal.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
There's also gonna be a dodgeball tournament, live band, karaoke,
and all sorts of other fun cruise activities.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
And finally, if you ever find yourself in the middle
of a zombie apocalypse, whether it be something like you know,
twenty eight days later, a fungus taken over like the
last of us, and you need a place to ride
out the worst of it, Well, guess what. A new
report looked at all the different NFL venues, all of
them across the United States, and found which one, you'd mean,

(30:08):
more likely to survive.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
And guess what?

Speaker 2 (30:11):
It ain't in Florida, No, Nope, they see.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
It would be at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Arizona's far it's just over that way.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Which the factors included the stadium's proximity to the city center,
as well as the population of the area, security features
such as the number of large and small entry points,
the number of tiers and sections, and whether the stadium
as a roof or even a retractable roof.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Hmm, all right, so, since we're not on the list
and there in the state of Florida, let's just for
craps and giggles, what sporting arena or place here in
the Bay area would be the best spot to shield
yourself from a zombie and invasion apocalypse? Are you ruling

(30:58):
allaying field out on this one? That was a hard
that drop pass? They even going there? Like that place?
Is that place is done? Right?

Speaker 4 (31:08):
They might just screwed away from it.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
I'm hoping maybe, uh, Emily arena, I, Emily are right?
Maybe the best slop all those big metal doors they
got on the outside. And he suggests talk back feature
of the free iHeart radio app a lot of ice.
All right, all right, don't don't miss what we learned.
By the way, we had three Mississippi tribute today, by
the way, and all this stuff factors in those second

(31:33):
row seating from metallicas M seventy two tour nine for
the crash test.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
We could go bowling, or we could go commercial free
nine next with crash an aj.

to go in a zombie apocalypse.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Yeah, they did a ranking of all the NFL stadiums
across the country. And of course you guys are sounded
often on the free iHeartRadio app or morning studio.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
I'll tell you what coming over the Howard Franklin right now.

Speaker 5 (33:01):
And I'm looking at all these little barges that they
got out here floating in the water.

Speaker 7 (33:07):
All things obvious, can swim.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
Get all one of them full day, just float out
in the bay.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Yeah, make sure you've got a fish and pole. You'll
be sad baby talking about might get a little crowded
once everybody figures out that's the safe place. But yeah,
he's onto something right there. All right, you guys want
to add to that, mitus what won't be learned coming
up here in the next twenty minutes. All right, you're
Bona on ninety eight Rock, Tampa Bay's rock station. This

(33:34):
is ninety eighty nine, and of course Crashing AJ nine
to thirty comes around. You got a chance to take
the crash test in. All week long, we've been giving
away these premium Talenta tickets for the m seventy two tour.
We started off with the throw seats on Monday. We
are down to second row seating both shows lower level today,

(33:54):
and it's all gonna come down to some things we
did this morning.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
All right, Yeah, would you know, Crash.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
What I learned this morning was that toilet vaces are
a thing, and I'm still struggling with the fact that
a part of me does love it.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
It's interesting. I'm not gonna probably do it.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
But here's a little audio for so they put she puts,
takes the cap off the lid, and well, here she is.

Speaker 9 (34:17):
With beautiful flowers.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
You want to layer the different lengths.

Speaker 9 (34:21):
This gets fresh water every flush. My bathroom is gonna
smell so great. We're like a mixture of them because
I wanted a fun color and it's not going to
affect the flushing mechanism. And your guests are gonna go,
what in the world. Your guests come in, they use
the bathroom, it's pretty, and then they just flush it.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
Is it gonna work?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
The person is there?

Speaker 5 (34:41):
You go.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
I still keep some lies all around, probably, but yeah,
I mean, who knows what comes after that?

Speaker 2 (34:50):
I know, right, toilet basil, toilet tomatoes is that gonna
be the next thing.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
That is gonna happen. Somebody puts pineapple, all right, so
there we go. So yeah, just if anybody can report
a good outcome on that list though pretty directs. What'd
you learn on the show A man?

Speaker 8 (35:11):
I learned that Jeremy Renner has seen the afterlife, all right,
and he liked it and he didn't want to come back.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
To him Like I would have took that over this
right now.

Speaker 8 (35:19):
Take the serenity now is kind of what the moral
of that story was. But he saw it, he lived
in for a minute or two, and now he's back
in purgatory.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Oh I mean so that was after the tractor accident
the snow plow.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Yeah, because it was slow a plow incident. He actually did.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Die for a few minutes and apparently, yeah, just like
producers exit, he got to experience some of the afterlife
but does not want to back.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Yeah, crazy, crazy crazy if like I was thinking about
three years ago, keep being really close to death and
what that next feeling would feel like like Jeremy Renner had.
Then I woke up from surgery and saw surgery lights.
I'm going, oh I'm alive. You saw someone standing over
you with a bill. I'm going, yeah, I'm going arm

(36:05):
I got my arm I got my wife. I'll take
that right there. Every single time man did say change
his perspective on life, though, we will change mine for sure,
one hundred percent. I learned that this bear hunt thing's
a going to be a very intense talking point for
a lot of people. I guess they take the first
step on a preliminary putting together framework, which what could

(36:27):
be a bear hunt coming up here? And I don't
know if you guys heard earlier when I throw out
some of the numbers to me before you even get
into the fact that the hunting areas are very small
in the migration areas for bears are really small in
the area. Check these numbers out. Five hundred thousand moore,
I'll eat bore all day long. Five hundred thousand deer.
I think deer kill more people around here than anybody else.

(36:49):
To be honest with you, python's thirty thousand, one point
six million alligators four thousand and fifty beers.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
That's insane, and galligators probably kill more people are Florida man.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Yeah, Well, when you when people hit deer, I mean
there's been a lot of accidents. I've smoked a few.

Speaker 8 (37:10):
Yeah, yeah, killed a couple of my cars mosquitoes.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
And I think somebody made a comment that are more
people that are problem people than ambles around here. So yeah,
that's what I learned. I think they really need to
think this out. Man. I'm not for it. Like I said,
I eat bear meatballs or whatever the case may be.
I'm not against game, but in Florida it seems like

(37:34):
shooting fish in a bucket and a little unfair to me.
But that's just me, all right, all right, And as
far as crash test question this morning, if you were listening,
you know that the crash I'm sorry, the through Mississippi
trivia is going to be a part of the crash
test coming up at nine thirty.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
