Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boy, thank you, ma'am. Good for heja in the morning.
Quickie on naety a Rock, brought to you by bar
to Ford. A night's weather for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
We're gonna see some scattered thunderstorms, you know, about thirty
ish percent chance that's seen that across the bay.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Maybe a little lightning out to accompany that. But it's
gonna be hot.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
We're talking triple digits with the heat index today.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
AJ it's gonna hit one O four man, so buckle up.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
It's gonna be uh the word A lot of people
don't like out there. Moisttete, swam pass, brace yourselves and hey,
here's something fun to look forward to. Looking to escape
the heat. Go check out the Historic Beach Theater O
and see Pee Beach. It just reopened. Today's the grand
opening and all weekend they're celebrating. And it's not gonna

(00:47):
be just movies that they're bringing into that theater. They're
also opening up to live performances, whether it be concerts,
whether it be Theanta. They're gonna be kicking things off
with the four day opening weekend celebrations starting today, and
it's all about their special documentary, A New Wave Revival
of the Beach Theater, which is just that a nice
little look at their history and how they came back.

(01:09):
So congratulations, welcome back Beach Theater. Love to see that. Also,
love to see this. The TSA is now making more
news headlines after it was just announced that they're going
to be opening up two new airport security screening lanes.
And here's one that's definitely going to come in andy
for your producer. Ex get this, there's one for military Okay,

(01:30):
so the Honor Lane will be exclusively for military members
and their families. But then also the family lane, which
will be for anybody traveling with kids. Oh yes, all
on board for that.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
You know, they really need to make a single rider's
line at the TSA, just anybody who's traveling alone.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, you will get you through quick.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Honestly, the TSA check doing the priest Yeah, so worth it.
Well worth the investment with that one. But if you
don't have that, hey, a couple more.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
To look for, I mean, I'll take it.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Speaking of things to look forward to, Nine Inch Nails
looks like their brand new album is the upcoming Trounds
sound Track, which their first single is called as Alive
as You Need Me to Be, which is their first
release in five years, and something of note. This go
round obviously talking about how that's their new album. That's
what the album is credited as. It's the Nine Inch

(02:22):
Nails album. It's not just usually you see Trent Reznor
or antoicust Ross. They've done a lot of compositions over
the years and it's just their names. But now this
is now full blown nine Inch Nails. So the soundtrack
is their album. That's pretty cool. You'll be able to
hear that soon. And of course the movie is going
to be dropping on October tenth, starring Jared Leto. There

(02:46):
you go, speaking of the movie is a year before
Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is set for release. Tickets to
the Imax version just went on sale and sold out
just like that. Of course, Nolan's version the classic Greek myth,
stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, and it was shot entirely
on Imax film crat cameras, which is a first for

(03:08):
commercial theater. And sure enough, within hours of going on sale,
the seeps were all snapped up, and now they're showing
up on third party reslers. Forget this one thousand dollars
four hundred bucks.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Jesus for a movie, for a movie ill to reach
their own a bootleg it.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
I mean people will spend that much amount of time,
you know, going to concerts. I'm spending that on tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
It's a two hour movie. I mean, there's a lot
of stars in this movie. But man, I don't I
don't know. Four hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
I mean, if you got the money for it, that
makes you happy, You're right, go for it, you know
what I spending that? No?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
No me either, No, especially to sit in those crummy
seats that they got at the movie. They're all peeling
and like you buy popcorn, which is another four hundred dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Well, if you want to see some real stars, the
annual Percied meter in your shower started last night and
so for the next month you got a pretty good
chance of seeing a shooting star, which it doesn't peak
until mid August. But when it's supposed to peak around here,
it looks like we'll be having a full moon. So
there is that. But you should have a you know,
good reason to go out to the beach or you know,
maybe the woods or something to look up to this

(04:18):
nighttime stars.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Oh yeah, let's go to the woods.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
And in robot news, Uber is investing three hundred million
into Robotaxis to take on Waymo and Tesla Great Open Aiyes,
newest bought can actually control an entire computer and do
tasks for you. And get this, A team at Columbia
just came up with a new way for robots to

(04:42):
physically grow and heal themselves by eating other robots. So
if you're a robot taxi gets hungry and starts a
non on your smartphone, maybe you can blame it on that.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
You feed it the smartphone And is how we recycle
our electronics.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Now already I feels like it. Maybe that's the.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Way to go. Maybe that's what they're Maybe.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
That's good, that's why to get all the yeah, I
get rid of all the yeah. But then they create
more robots and turn in some more yep, and then
yet transform. Yeah, it's a real thing. It's coming our way.
Food for thought, whole other level not ready for that.
If you want to drop it and shove it up,
feel free to do so. We are taking those until
ten o'clock and actually coming up around nine o'clock. Guess
what we got for the first time ever our Friday

(05:29):
Fixed Man. Here's a welcome from Scratch and Sniff on
the ways we kick things off. Ninety eight minutes of
commercial free rock next on Crashing eight j
