Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thank you, ma'am John for Hey Jay in the morning,
quickie on ninety a rock brought.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
To you by bar Joe Ford. Right, you got.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
I expected hot temperatures of course, ninety on the coast,
ninety plus inland there with a chance of rain in
the late afternoon inland it will be the hot spots today. Age.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Good morning, Hey, good morning, crash and heads up, rockers.
You're heading on I two seventy five, the Howard Brinklin,
the Howard Franklin Bridge from Saint Pete to Tampa. We'll
get ready for a major change that's starting today. The
northbound lanes are being re routed onto the old southbound
span of the Howard Franklin Bridge as well. Looks like

(00:37):
the f DOT is going to start tearing down the
original beast of a bridge that had been in service
since the nineteen sixties. Which it's not going to be
one fast demo. That's gonna take some time, which they
hope to have done by spring twenty twenty six. But
alas finally the other portion starting today.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, it's gonna be a big job disassembling. Like a
lego said, almost there, oh thing, so bye.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Flashed floods along the Guadaloupe River keep delivering grim news.
Yesterday afternoon official said that one hundred and ten people
were confirmed ABT and more than one hundred and sixty
are still missing after those weekend storms. In Texas, Kerr
County lacks a siren system and leaders had been admitted
to pass grant bids for alarms failed. Unfortunately, a lot

(01:23):
of people weren't aware and these floods so fast. In fact,
they're not the only ones dealing with flooding now. New
Mexico declared a flash flooding emergency yesterday after heavy rains
caused dangerous flooding in Lincoln County. Homes were starting to
be moved by water by the reover Pseudo River. They
say it rose fifteen feet in an hour. That's insane.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
That's about was it twenty feet in five twenty sixties
ago forty five minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, were in Texas. Just absolutely incredible. Which there are
hundreds of active flood watches all across the US, especially
in Texas where up to ten ten inches of more
raine could be falling. Yeah, so it looks like Queen's
Reich is going to be hitting the road. They announced
yesterday that they're gonna be hitting the road for a

(02:13):
new tour, hitting about twenty eight dates that does include
Tampa and Pat Jennis Live December third. They're going to
start some tickets pre sales today. How did the general
on sale this Friday? And hopefully we should have some
tickets coming your way soon.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
You're a ninety eight rock You're good.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Be good to see those guys again.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Operation min Crime Man one of my favorite albums. I
always forget about. Queen's Right just to fun Fun band Man.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, the Volume Inventions tour, so I'm sure they're going
to be bringing it with that one. It was gonna
be easier to cancel subscriptions, but an appeals court has
decided that America, you're gonna have to hunt for that
option on the website. Yeah, Federal Trade Commissions clicked. The
cancel rule was announced last year with the goal of
making it easy to cancel something as as easy as

(03:00):
was to enroll. It was set to take an effect
in a few days, but the court yesterday said, looks
like the proper regulatory analysis hasn't been done, so not
gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What kind of regulatory analysis do you need? I mean,
I'm getting like reminders at like two o'clock in the
morning while I'm sleeping that my subscription that I don't
know about is about for renew. Yeah, don't you love that?
I forgot to do the trial period cancel in three days?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Sorry, because they don't make it easy to do that,
in that you have to jump through hoops in order
to cancel it throughout that free trial time. It's insane.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Wait, ain't nobody got time for that?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Especially today, shortest day of the year.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Here I go again with my some weird diet plan
subscription that I tried out, some weird food tracking.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Shove it to the FTC on that one, or whoever
decided that raw. But how about some good news. In fact,
we've got great news in the fight against cancer. Herbies
is now being used to fight cancer. Doctors at the
Diversity of Southern California took the Herpes simplex virus type one,
the kind that causes the mouth blisters, and they remove

(04:07):
the parts that caused the blisters and tweaked it so
that the germ attacks only tumor cells. Then they paired
it with a new virus and along with the drug
which now blocks a trick that cancer uses to hide
from the immune system. So it turns out herpes really
is the gift.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
That keeps on giving. I'm going right when you said,
you know, they're good news. Cancer could be fought by herpes. O.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Wait, no, there's some science involved in a whole lot
of tweaking. But according to this study on a study
of one hundred and forty people whose advanced melanoma no
longer responded to regular care, the combo shranked tumors by
at least thirty percent in patience and wiped out all
signs of cancer are nearly one person out of six.

(04:53):
That's incredible. Wow.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I ended that doctor telling that good news, your cancer
has been taken care of, but it got her work
on that. We'll work on that. We're working on the herpiece.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Now. I didn't say too that even the growths that
never gotten an injection did get smaller, hinting that the
treatment travels through the body and that side effects were mild.
So there's still a larger phase three trial that they're
working on with about four hundred people this go around,
so hopefully we'll can see that to see more good
things from it.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
And you got cancer, and you know somebody got cancer.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
You'll try anything, Yeah, make it work, absolutely so shove
it to cancer too.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
We got for you, all right. So we got ninety
eighty nine coming up here. You're gonna get a clue,
your third and final clue of the Mystery riff as well.
Know what song that is? You could get offspring tickets
A nine thirty for the crash test
